Reviews of Antoine's Restaurant

Antoine's is a history rich location that you won't want to miss. If you are planning a nice meal out while visiting I recommend making this stop a priority. Antoine's is the oldest restaurant in the US opening in 1840. We had lunch there which was very reasonable prices for the luxury atmosphere. Two course winter lunch was $25 and for $18 you can do a bottomless mimosa. Delicious!! Not on the menu but a must is the oyster sampler. My husband and I couldn't decide which oysters to get so why not try them all? My favorite was the charbroiled oysters but the others were just as good. I also had the duo potato bisque topped with truffle oil and it was so smooth and melted in the mouth. I ate the gulf fish which was perfectly seasoned and chef's kiss! My only complaint was that the Creole shrimp was a little under seasoned but besides that we were in love with the service and atmosphere. Our bill was about $110 with cocktails, appetizer, and our entrees. Great deal for the luxury experience. 10/10 would recommend.

I tried the set lunch menu and was satisfied.
Service: The staff are fantastic and everyone knows their role. They’re polite, kind, and offer an upscale experience while wearing formal attire. I believe the staff are trained to deliver a specific type of high end service which they execute well.
Food: I’d say the food was good. Everything was plated with finesse and was served hot. The butternut squash bisque was rich, creamy and flavoursome. The champagne chicken was dry and over cooked but the dish was saved by its tasty seasonings and sauces. The bread pudding was of good quality with a decadent sauce and fresh cream.
Overall: If you want to have a fine dining experience, this is a great place to dress up for and the food is not bad. It’s a decent bucket list experience and the lunch menu is economically priced. However; there is better food in New Orleans.

Had a wonderful wedding anniversary dinner here.
Beautiful interior throughout all rooms, with a wine vault in the back.
The soft shell crabs were cooked to the perfection. Various ways of oysters tasted fantastic. Bottomless mimosas, champagne, rosé….etc was the perfect touch to this meal.
With a Baked Alaskan which was a perfect way to end this wonderful meal!!!
Great service by Chuck & Hannah. They are very knowledgeable of the menu, attentive service with courteous attitude.
Don’t forget to have the band play a little by your table 😉

Reserved the Rex Room for a college graduation party. Everything was absolutely amazing. Service, atmosphere, food, and drink.
We had a set 4 course menu with a couple different options. The only thing that was a little strange and is there own special recipe was the Oyster Rockefeller.
The Pompano Pontchartrain with crab topping was amazing.
All in all great boozy dinner. The room was super cool and can handle groups 20+.

The overall experience of Jazz brunch at Antoine's Restaurant was enjoyable. I did find the food a bit average given the price. I would recommend trying the baked Alaska or the bread pudding if you like desserts. The Soufflé Potatoes were recommended by our server and turned out to be quite tasty. The service was very good. 4.0

I really enjoyed my experience at Antoine's! I booked a reservation for a friend and I for jazz brunch (which I think only happens on Sundays, but I'm not positive) and it was lovely. Great ambiance in the restaurant and our server, Craig, was so kind and attentive. The musicians came around to every table to personally play for them for a short amount of time. They don't play the same songs for every table either. They personalize the experience for each table and play music based on what the table is interested in and what they're celebration (for example, they may play a song inspired by your hometown or they'll play "happy birthday"). The food was great too. The potato souffle appetizer was unlike anything I've ever had before! It was light, fluffy, and airy and paired with a light sauce for dipping. I had the eggs benedict and thought they were great, though I'm no expert. Overall great experience and I'd come back here.

My favorite place to eat in NOLA! The Baked Alaska is a must… you literally cannot get it anywhere else. The service was amazing with very friendly wait staff. Many have worked at Antoine’s for 10+ years. This is the first time we dined during Sunday brunch. The jazz band went around to tables and allowed song requests. The brunch menu was incredible. I highly recommend the French toast (on the menu as Pain Pardue with Smoked Bacon). It is probably the best French toast I have ever tasted! I suggest making a reservation in advance to ensure you get to experience Antoine’s.. and don’t forget to order Baked Alaska when you arrive!

Very good friend recommended Antoine’s restaurant even before I arrived so definitely it’s the first spot I hit in NOLA other than my hotel. The service is fantastic and the dishes are pretty good! The history of this place alone with 5 generations of family business operation non-stop, is an amazing tale already! Love Craig’s recommendation to mix my creole shrimp garlic rice with crab meat, though a bit on the expensive side adding together but the seafood is so fresh! Craig told me that the seafood is fresh every morning. After my lunch, Was fortunate to be taken to the rooms & back of the restaurant and was introduced the rich history of the rooms, the history of photos, displays & ornaments, the wine cellar, etc. Unforgettable experience!

Food was good but nothing to write home about. It was very pricey and portions were very small. Ambiance was extremely gorgeous. Our favorite was the Pompano, Almondine Fishes and the Baked Alaska. Service by the server's assistant was superb. He gets 5 stars!
Adriana
strict dress code but so worth it, this place is amazing! The charbroiled oysters were incredible WOW! Our waitress Amanda was the sweetest person ever! We got to see the mystery room, can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful dining experience. The service was impeccable and the food was perfect. We are in NOLA for my daughter's birthday and she wanted a special dining experience. Could not have chosen better. I had the filet and she had the pompano Pontchartrain with baked Alaska for dessert. They made it special with candles and by singing happy birthday. Do not miss the opportunity to eat here - the oldest restaurant in New Orleans.
Natalie Misasi
Everything was absolutely fantastic. We had everything on the Dinner Coolinary menu as well as the 2-2-2 Oysters. The Bienville oysters were our favorite of the three! Not pictured was the Strawberry Lemonade that was also delicious. Of everything we had, the Hanger Steak was my absolute favorite. Looking forward to going back.

Seriously, some of the best food we've had. Out waiter Pual was awesome!
The wall paper in the bathroom was pretty cool. The unlimited memosas was well worth the 16 bucks. It was hardly ever empty or half full. They even gave me a to go sippy cup.
Honestly, this experience was the 1st time in my adult life, where I tipped $50. Just service and atmosphere was amazing.
But again, Paul hit it off and made us feel like family.
We will revisit New Orleans, and come to this place for dinner for sure.

Our weekend in New Orleans was mostly spent on eating out as many places as we could. We made reservations here before we left Atlanta as I had always heard it had a great reputation! It did not disappoint! Got there a little early so we started in the bar with drinks and an appetizer of ado rv char broiled oyster, the best I ever had, so good! Dinner was very good as I had the gumbo and shrimp creole, very good. My wife had the pompano pontchartrain and it was fantastic. Staff was very friendly and on point. Would recommend if you want a fancy place for dinner.

Has a very nice meal here with my husband on 2/5/2022. We couldn't get a dinner reservation, but we were able to snag a coveted Saturday lunch reservation on OpenTable.
This is the oldest restaurant in New Orleans and has 14 different dining rooms. We were seated in the annex, the former parking lot for carriages and horses when the restaurant opened (and seated 9 people) back in 1840.
We had two waiters, but Jordan (young guy) took care of us most of the time.
I have Celiac and unfortunately, nothing on the menu was gluten free as is. Our other waiter talked to the chef and allowed me to have an amended 3 course meal to make it gluten free. That was so kind and I ended up having a strawberry salad, trout provençal with asparagus rather than rice (their rice flavoring contains gluten) and the flourless chocolate torte. All of that for $22! I also got a Royal Bourbon Street cocktail for $13.
My husband also had the $22 3 course meal. He got the smoked corn bisque, chicken cordon bleu sandwich and bread pudding and a $13 Vanilla Old Fashioned.
While my husband didn't like the bread on his sandwich, he removed it and ate the rest. The rest of the food was really good.
Jordan told us that we could check out the other dining rooms and told us about the wine cellar being the second largest in the country, with its contents alone insured for $40 million. Apparently they're trying to replenish after some of their priceless wines were damaged in Hurricane Katrina.
Jordan also showed us around and told us the history of the building, showing us where the old jail used to be - you can even see where the doors are boarded up! He also showed us where it used to be an old speakeasy and how people would wait on the street all day to be ushered in by a waiter who had to know them to bring them into the restaurant and through a door in the women's restroom that led to the speakeasy.
Service was 10/10, food was 7/10. Very enjoyable lunch.
Amber Sun
We indulged a variety of oyster dishes and the most original Rockefeller. Our waiters were very friendly, the band was entertaining, the wine cellar tour was short but informative. Glad we stopped by the oldest restaurant in Nola.
Tom Ellicott
A quiet lunch for two on a Monday turned out to be delightful! We were pleasantly surprised that an old line restaurant with this kind of storied history would still have such delicious food. We had the oysters for the appetizer, and also the seafood duo and the sausage gratin. The duo was the best with fried oysters and lump crabmeat. The sausage was ok but not a winner. Then we both had the grilled pompano! Everything was wonderful.
We had bread pudding for dessert and coffee.
We also had the bottomless Whispering Angel rosé which we thought was a steal at $20 per person!
Our server, Austin has been at the restaurant since 1977 and he practically read our minds.
He was awesome.
We arrived early and asked to be seated in the main dining room - there weren’t many people but it filled up nicely.
After lunch, we explored the many cavernous dining rooms all around the building - and they are filled with fascinating memorabilia dating back to the 1840’s! We will definitely go back!!

MY GOD. THE FOOD. MY GOD. THE SERVICE.
We went for the jazz brunch and it did not disappoint in anyway! We were serenaded by the band personally as they came around to each table. Our servers were incredibly attentive. We ordered bottomless mimosas and they were the MOST bottomless drinks I’ve ever had. We wouldn’t even get to the bottom of our glass before we had a refill. The food was excellent too. Best potato soup I’ve ever had and the oysters were delightful. We got a sampler of three different kinds. Highly recommend this place.

This was my second visit to Antoine's, and I must say - it was a tad disappointing. The Oysters Rockefeller weren't for me - I wasn't a fan of the famous sauce. I did enjoy the Soufflé Potatoes. The Creole Andouille Au Gratin was very salty. My friend and I ordered the Baked Alaska not realizing that it's a full blown cake. If you intend to order it - please make sure you are a party of 4 minimum, otherwise it becomes wasteful. We wound up giving the remainder of the cake to the table beside us instead of it being thrown out.
The service here was impeccable as always - absolutely no complaints there. It's still a place I'd recommend to any first timer's to the French Quarter.
Jamie Fisher
My husband and I went to Antoine’s for their jazz brunch this past Saturday and it was a great experience! The service was amazing and the wait staff were so nice. The food is so good, especially the oysters! We will definitely be back next time we’re in New Orleans!
Alisha Oliver
I think if you’re a first timer in the French quarter this is an excellent choice for the historical factor. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere-although a bit stuffy- was nice. If I would give two ratings I would give 5 stars for the experience but only 2 for the food. I’m not a high dining type of person, however I found the food very bland and the presentation wasn’t spectacular either considering the price. My dad and I got the oysters Rockefeller and escargot for appetizers, neither were spectacular. I had the pompano pontchartrain, which was edible, however very under seasoned and there was no real “star” on the plate. I could of munched the steamed green beans or the fish and wouldn’t of savored either bite. My dad had the filet which he enjoyed, I tried a bite and also thought it was very bland, however it was cooked perfectly and the meat quality was fantastic. Overall, i think this may be a personal preference rating on my behalf but I was very disappointed considering the circumstances that my dad and I went through to finally get out to the quarter for a fancy dinner and it felt a little bit wasted, we’ve had better food at the half shell oyster house in Gulfport. Yeah

The wife and I made reservations to this lovely establishment based upon word of mouth from friends family and other sources!
Atmosphere was delightful our server was great and this made an awesome 10-year anniversary dining experience for us.
The servers are top-notch and knowledgeable didn't even break a sweat with our questions!
Our server was a BOSS!!
Food can be a bit pricey but it is well worth it! The ingredients for fresh and you can taste it with every bite and it didn't take very long to make!
The overall menu is concise in my opinion but it's all the major proteins and even vegan options!
Everyone is attentive to your needs and wants and they provide great drink suggestions if you're an out-of-towner or Tourist like we were.
I think I probably had the best coffee that I had in my life! Do yourself a favor and get the table side coffee it's not your grandfather's coffee, just saying! Apologies if I'm ruining the surprise but they make it tableside and I think I will always remember this!
Jennie Rountree
I had the shrimp creole which was very good. The shrimp seemed a little overcooked, but the sauce was delicious with a lot of kick. My husband had the fish amandine which was also delicious. We had the baked Alaska for two, but it was so big that it could have fed four. Service was exceptional.
Edward A
Big ups to Austin, who's been working there for 45 years (knows the menu by heart) and Fairy who serenaded us with the voice of an angel. I am not a fan of oysters Rockefeller (it was invented there I hear) but the rest of the menu was super awesome great. Great atmosphere. Guys, wear a collared shirt.

Antoine's. Wow. Everything about your experience here was top notch from the moment we entered to the moment we left. When you walk in you can't help but be blown away by the décor. An air of the grandeur of France with the freshness of early Americana.
The maître d' was polite and set us at a table in the front dining room. Darrell and PJ were our servers and they were just as much a part of the great experience as the cuisine. While the restaurant is classy and grand, it is not stuffy and everyone is treated with respect. We brunched at the Commander's Palace this afternoon and left very disappointed with the food and the service. Antoine's really came to the rescue. Our servers were sensational. These gentlemen that served us were so professional. They provided suggestions, got our orders correct, and managed to pull off making our birthdays as special as can be. The hors d'œuvres were fresh and scrumptious. The entrées were as fresh as can be and expertly prepared. The baked Alaska for dessert is simply legendary.
This place is an institution that does not rest on its laurels. We already have a nice list of restaurants we hit every time we are in town, and I must say that this one is now at the top of our list.
Tommy Shinn
My favorite place in New Orleans. Treated with class from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Everything on the menu is fabulous. Some of the best wait staff ever! Thank you Antoine’s for always making our visit special. If you haven’t tried Antoine’s yet what are you waiting for?
James K. Psaras
Amazing brunch with live music. Top notch formal service, they walk around the table and serve/pickup from the side - they never reach across in front of you. Highly recommend. The food was amazing.
Susie Peterson
The history and ambiance is fun to be a part of at Antoine's. Our server, Geoffrey, provided some of the most genuine, friendly and helpful service we have ever had. He's a gem!
Ricos Pizza
Made reservations, table was presented per reservation. We sat down and away we went... it was a delicious journey that night with excellent service by both waiter(Mayuer sp?) and his wait~back.

A must when visiting New Orleans!
Food was absolutely delicious, we tried all Oyster variations they served!
Beautiful ambiance and super friendly service.
Natalie Barnette
What a great brunch with friends on our trip to New Orleans. Food was excellent , Best Shrimp and grits , everything was fantastic including escargot and oysters for appetizers. Services was great and even received a tour of all the rooms. Coffee and bottomless mimosas are a must.
Kristina Pandozzi
The food was good - not excellent, service very thoughtful, and building and history very interesting and surprising. The jazz for brunch made our morning and musicians were very interpersonal and visited tables. Definitely walk around after your meal and check out all the rooms.also appreciated the bottomless mimosas and candied bacon with the shrimp and grits.
Piper Stevens
We were looking for a place to eat and 2 ppl were outside and offerd. We went in and the server was rlly nice. She got us water and we had some gator bites as an apitizer sooooo good. Then we got our main food. Amazing. Place is rlly clean too.
Adam West
Paul our waiter made the night!
The oyster combination were the best oysters I've ever had!
Our fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked
John Hoyt
First time here.... What a beautiful piece of history....
Definitely try the oysters Rockefeller... After all they invented this dish!
Live jazz on Sunday for brunch was delightful, the musicians are so entertaining!
Yettie J
Came here for a friend’s birthday and it was honestly one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had. Mayur was amazing and explained everything to my friends and I with great detail. I would absolutely come back here again.
He also recommended we walk around the dining rooms and it was worth it.
Phillip Brown
Very nice atmosphere, great service and good food. I had the special summer Coolinary in New Orleans menu. This included Gazpacho, Hanger steak and a Peaches and Cream dessert. Very nice and I'll return next time I'm visiting.
Cole Pixley
Had the lunch special, could not believe how tasty the food was. Had the 3 course lunch special (veal pictured). I had high expectations and they were exceeded. Additionally, the staff was beyond courteous. I wish I lived nearby to take advantage of their lunch special more often!
Peggy Scherer
We went on a Monday for brunch and we loved the food but as a tourist I was expecting more local food options. I am french and most of the menu was nothing new for me so my options to discover local food were limited for the price we paid.
Chris A.K.T.
When booking this place, I had no idea how famous it was!
The place is so full of history! One of the waiters gave us a tour after lunch and it was awesome! They have so many unique rooms.
I also love the food! The original oysters Rockefeller weren’t that good but we had to try them. My husband liked them better because he doesn’t like spinach and these don’t have spinach.
I had these cornmeal fried oysters as my main. It’s actually an appetizer and it was AMAZING! The sauce looks weird but the taste is out of this world. Best fried oysters ever.
Oh yeah, I also found two pearls!!!
Kat King
It's hard to knock what's considered a local institution, but if you're going to plop down a couple of Benjamins you should know... there must be a management problem. That's the best explanation for service that can best be described as "phoning it in." From no welcome at the front desk, no request to take my coat ("We have coat racks". Really? Where? Is there obe near my table? How about this one?) Table service that was luke warm...like the mushroom stew I was served. Butter on table but no bread until asked. A nice warm loaf in a bag was delivered when the entrees were served. The Baked Alaska looked like a victim of global warming. Served melted? Sad. A gloppy mess.
The main courses were nothing special. He had fried trout. Gumbo was good. But it's New Orleans. You'll get good gumbo at a hole in the wall.
Step it up, Antoine. Don't rest on your laurels.
Valeria
I didn't try oysters as the ones I tried at Antonie's. I tried the 2&2 appetizer of oysters. The plate consisted in two oysters on their shells of Bienville, Rockefeller and Charbroiled.
The Bienvile is mainly a irresistible rich but mild combination of three chesses, while the Charbroiled has a fresh flavour with the combination of one type of cheese and herbs, but the Rockefeller style is completely different. The last one seems to have a creole sauce flavour, nutty and creamy with bid of chilli pepper.
I love seafood and I thing I've never had so rich combinations of flavours for the oysters any in other part of the world. I thought the sauces the oysters had on top were going to overpower the oyster taste, but I was wrong, As they are grill, the sauces come cooked but the oysters are just cooked enough.
I had 12 oysters: 4 of each one. They were delicious, something that really helped me to compare them was the description of the styles in the menu.
I couldn't tell which one was my favourite. But I can always give it a third go to the same appetizer and made my final decision, or maybe I will keep ordering the same combination until I figure it out. I just liked them a lot.
I think this is a perfect method to enjoy oysters. It is worthy to try it, and maybe afterwards you may come out with a new combination of ingredients that will match with the oysters.
For dessert I tried the speciality of the house "the baked alaka", the cake was ok, nothing out of this world. I must say that I was expecting something majestic as the way the cake is described in the menu, and especially because there was a couple next to me said it was REALLY GOOD. But this was a single person version of the real one, so maybe that is way is was like a normal cake. The real one is for two people minimum, and I bet they make it in that moment because it says that you have to ordered at the same time as you order your main course. Maybe next time I get to try the big one, but I will not order the small one again.
Thomas Carr
Clean, classy, delicious food. New Orleans oldest family owned restaurant. Unbeatable. Desiree and Jim were the epitome of excellence in customer service.
Christian Cook
Oysters Rockefeller consists of oysters on the half-shell that have been topped with a rich sauce of butter, parsley and other green herbs, and bread crumbs, then baked or broiled. Lemon wedges are the typical garnish.
First made at Antoine's in 1889 in commemoration to the richest man in US history John D. Rockefeller (for sheer richness of the sauce).
There delicious... best oysters I've ever eaten for sure.
Make certain you order these oysters when eating at Antoine's. There that good...
...and famous too.
Brandon Mauss
We loved Antoine’s. Our server and his daughter Megan went above and beyond to provide insights about the restaurant’s storied past and took the time to give us a detailed guided tour after our meal. It was easy to tell how much they love their jobs and they were such great servers, always checking in and providing warm bread and water refills. Not to mention the food was spectacular, we both thoroughly enjoyed the fall special price fixed menus. Butternut squash bisque was heavenly and the charbroiled oysters were amazing. The complimentary champagne on the way out was the cherry on top.
Courtney Watson
Make a reservation for one of the oldest restaurants in the city, you will not regret it. I wish we could am eat breakfast/brunch there every day. 🥓The bacon was cooked perfect, I dipped move in the syrup from my French toast made from their bread they serve you🤤 not a fan of the oysters Rockefeller but he sure enjoyed them. Oh and whatever that dip was for the potato souffle, was amazing! It was almost like the hollandaise sauce on his perfectly cooked eggs benedict. 🍳 Definitely a must have if you're in town in time.
Craig Wills
High end restaurant with great service, fast kitchen with world class food. Big buck$, but worth it. Be sure to order baked Alaska when you order entree.

Holliday Lunch at Antoines today, Artichoke Soup,Soft Shell Crab and Bread Pudding, Antoines is the oldest Restaurant in the USA. A Delicious Tastebud Delight! Wonderful Selection and great Service ! Michelle was our server and made our lunch special! Thank you and Merry Christmas to the Antoines Team!
Megan Anderson
This restaurant was amazing. The manager, David, sat us at our table and made us feel so welcome. Our server Zyjuan was so amazing. Our order was taken promptly and our drinks were refilled often. The food was delicious and I would recommend it to anyone that will visit here. My favorite part of my dining experience was Ken. I have worked in the service industry and I have never seen someone work as hard as she does. She made sure that we always have fresh bread, chilled ice water, and we watched her bus every table near us.
Darby Gilbertson
We were fortunate enough to get last minute reservations at this exceptional restaurant and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The food was probably the best I've had anywhere and I absolutely can't say enough about the staff. We were dressed as complete tourists but at no point were we treated like we were out of place in such an established restaurant, with every member of staff that we encountered living up to the much earned southern hospitality reputation. We were even encouraged to take a look around at the many different and beautiful dining rooms in the restaurant. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this.
Zamir Brelvi
Excellent food!! Very friendly and courteous staff. Loved the historic atmosphere of the oldest single family owned restaurant in the United States. Surprisingly very reasonably priced. The Rockefeller oyster was created here. Delicious escargot! Try the Baked Alaska for dessert. Will certainly go back
Cristiana Gentile
Very nice atmosphere and drinks, but the main course didn’t meet my expectations. The dessert thou (the famous Baked Alaska) was simply delicious!
Shelton Mayo
Don't sleep on the chicken entree. Phenomenal. If you have never had the baked Alaskan this is the place to get it. Very nice restauraunt. Good food. Only complaint was not the service of the waiter or servers or host. The wait staff cleaning tables dropped stuff several times and this should not happen in an upscale place with this history. They should also not stack plates just the little things made it 4 star instead of 5 Star experience.
Barbara Robins
Escargot below my expectations as well as oysters Rockefeller. Puff potatoes delicious and pompano with crab
Mike Willis
Big fan of the food, service, and history. Gumbo and charbroiled oysters on the half shell were delicious. We were seated in the main dining room, but don’t miss the opportunity to explore the other dining rooms. There’s so much history to explore.
Hemonto Mridha
We put on pants just so we could come here for lunch on a Monday but it seems you can wear anything you want and the dress code is only a suggestion. But the service and food are excellent. The $22 three course lunch special is a great value, especially when paired with a bottomless mimosa or wine. Our group ordered a few other starters as well. The escargot and the chargrilled oysters, which were both very nice. When our meal was finished, our server took us for a tour of the 180 year old restaurant. So much history and it seems that everyone has eaten here at some point. This was definitely an experience.
Banan Ibrahim
Great spot for lunch. Highlights: shrimp and grits and the baked Alaska. Delish!
Brian Cofone
Always high expectations coming here. I know this may sound strange but after so many times in the quarter and so much rich food, it wasn't in my plan this time to stuff myself silly 3 meals a day, even though I wanted to:) So this vacation I decided to drop it down a notch and just be happy to be here. So ordered a burger at several places to see who wins. Antoines took the trophy home! And the dipping sauce was perfect with the fries and the burger. You might think that any restaurant at this level would really have a super duper burger but not the case at all, Antoines was the only one I found, beating the heck out of Bourbon House and Cafe S'Bisa. The WW2 Museum of all places came in 2nd place in the burger war but of course that's apples and oranges as far as price and atmosphere. Had a very young waiter, not the usual level of reserve, he couldn't contain himself, really nice young man very enthusiastic and friendly, a bit informal but not too much. He was a good kid, think Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic. This place is still at the top and no signs of slippage at all, a refreshing sight to see nowadays.

Finally got the opportunity to have lunch at Antoine’s, the oldest restaurant in French Quarter.
I tried their Fall Lunch Special and it was delicious. The service was unbeatable and the servers were very professional.
We were given a tour of the restaurant later on and some champagne 🍾 in case we get thirsty because they have 13 dining rooms and a 165 ft long wine cellar which is almost the length of a block :)
Madelaine Tully
Wonderful jazz brunch for our 20th Anniversary. Murphy and Meagan made it extra special. We will return!
Nikki Peddada
I really enjoyed myself. The service (Chuck) was very helpful. The jazz band was fun! They take requests and were happy to oblige my "sad song". It was fun exploring all the rooms and appreciating the deep history. Make sure to check out the painting of....I won't spoil it.
Jon Collins
Staff and service was top notch! Atmosphere was also very good. Food was good but not great. Tad pricey but you definitely get a good experience for the money. I would recommend to anyone doing a tour of the city to make a reservation.
JJ Hussem
Nice place, but a few tips. For what you charge make sure the menus aren’t just printed on paper but in in a booklet of some sort. There was no coffee. We poured the wine ourselves. Bring out more bread when it’s out. We couldn’t swap entrees from the brunch menu to a La carte or the other way around. Oysters were very tasty.
Up the service a bit for the money you charge. I’ve lived in Europe (UK, France, Holland) for years and years. If you want to be upscale then own it. Instead of paper towels in the bathroom, Al have cloth ones. Things like that. Do it all the way.
robert leviness
Best upscale restaurant ever. Will definitely visit again.
Jacob Gosch
My wife and I went here for lunch. The ambiance of this restaurant is amazing. The service was a little slow, but more than made up for with the food. From the appetizers, to the entrees, to the dessert, the food had so much flavor and was so perfectly prepared it is an unrivaled place to eat. Very highly recommend. It is a must stop if your in New Orleans.
Lindy Worley
Such an amazing experience! Charles took the best care of us! Jazz band, amazing food, and impeccable service! And one of the only places with baked Alaska! (Which is ridiculously good!) Highly recommended for a true New Orleans gem!

Honestly it was kind of disappointing. The food was fine but maybe didn't match our expectations. I enjoyed the Antoine salad, and I had a beaded trout which was enjoyable but nothing amazing. We were seated in the front area and the accoustics were terrible. We basically couldn't hear each other until most people left. I had the seasonal berry cheesecake I think it was which again was fine. The strawberry lemonade started out super bitter and was palatable towards the end. Personally I wouldn't return.
Christopher Gross
Fantastic atmosphere and service. The food was good - the salad and gumbo were our favorites (my daughter added on a cup of gumbo after tasting mine!) And the baked Alaska for dessert was fantastic.
Would definitely come back!
Mark Robinette
It is a piece of history. Everyone should go there once. Ordered the pompano, and it was bland. Grilled oysters were very good. Other types of oysters (Rockefeller, Bienville) not that great. Baked Alaska ice cream was really difficult to eat because it was frozen solid. Cocktail was very good. The seating is uncomfortable.

Special experience. Great ambience, and memorable, unique food. A visit well-worth your time and money. Liam was a great server, some of the best-in-class I've seen. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Thank you!
Nick DeMarco
You can see why this place has been around for so long - it was our favorite restaurant in New Orleans in terms of atmosphere. The food was great (the potato bisque was my favorite) and the servers were professional and friendly. We had a great time!
Irene Toporovskaya
We had a great time at jazz brunch - delicious food and lovely atmosphere.

My niece planned a surprise birthday party for me for my 70th birthday. Most of my family and friends came from all over, Boston, Tennessee, Virginia, California, New York, Mississippi and Louisiana. We had a wonderful experience and the food and services were great. This was 3 years ago and we still remember it and have pictures in front of the Christmas tree 🎄.
Marcella Figueroa
Our waiter Russel was such a pleasure, he was knowledgeable about the food and so friendly.
We decided to walk around the restaurant after our meal and unfortunately it gave off very old KKK vibes. Apparently the history of this restaurant goes back to the beginnings of the city and Krew of Proteus are part of the restaurant which after seeing their parade pictures it looks eerily similar to a Klan salute. The food was great but I will say I would not give my money to a place like this in the future. Part of history or not, my energy meter was on full negative vibes while walking the grounds.

Food wasn't too great. Very much down the middle of the plate, no pun or rhyme intended. Old fashioned digs were nice but the food quality could use a step up. Probably the best part was the jazz trio that rotated from table to table.

I came to Antoine’s for my birthday dinner with two friends and it was totally amazing. We had the Shrimp Creole for our entree and Baked Alaska for desert. I also drank the Miralav rose.
The restaurant was beautiful and the food was super amazing. But what made the memory even more beautiful was our waiter - Mayur. He was so attentive and he spent some time sharing details of the restaurant and our meals despite his busy schedule. For my birthday he gave us some restaurant souvenirs and our desert was on the house.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was a fine blend of very delicious food and a kind, friendly waiter.
Will definitely go back to Antoine’s when next I’m in NOLA.

Pretty disappointed with this purportedly upscale restaurant. First, they don't enforce the dress code. People in shorts and pullover shirt were seated next to us Second I arrived 5 minutes early and they had me wait in the bar! While service was okay, food was mediocre. Much better experience at other restaurants in the French Quarter.
Jason
My wife and I really enjoyed this place. We had the summer lunch special with bottomless mimosas (which they were quite good at refilling). Everything we had was delicious. Be sure to check the wine cellar in the back!
Sam Elliott
The place that invented oysters Rockefeller is still going strong. Upscale places are supposed to not give you enough food, but they never got that memo. The wait staff is exemplary, without being stuffy.
Jim McGrory
Excellent service. Seafood dishes were delicious! So many great choices for each course, but save room for dessert! Stop in and say "Hi" to Gregory.
Robin Khariuk
We were excited to visit this establishment given it's reputation and long history, but were sadly disappointed by both the food and the service provided. The Oysters Rockafellar were a let down due to the large amount of sauce and minuscule oyster in the shells. The other food was very average considering the price point. Particularly disappointing was the lack of communication by our server, who did speak when clearing plates, and did not seem interested as to whether we were having a good experience.
trish mcdermott
The restaurant is beautiful and the staff are all suited. It is a truly beautiful experience. We went to the jazz brunch. The chargrilled oysters were delicious, the Rockefellers, not so much. The soufleed potatoes were delicious. I got the eggs sardou, which had perfect poached eggs, but the dish was otherwise bland. My daughter got the pork belly confit Benedict and she was very happy with the dish. The experience was amazing and the service was top notch. I wish I had reserved for lunch though, instead of the jazz brunch. Next time!!!
Tony Iorfino
Incredible culinary/hospitality experience. The food, the service, everything was perfect!
Erik Davis
We decided to try this place and it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable. They congratulated us on our anniversary and gave us complimentary champagne. Our server made great recommendations and the food was wonderful and perfectly cooked. The charbroiled oysters were amazing and I highly recommended the amandine with crab and of course their soufflé potatos! My significant other got the lamb and was literally drooling!

This place is a must. I went for the 2020 three course meal. Everything was delicious starting with hot french bread. The Gumbo was tasty. The Rosemary Chicken was savory. And the Eggnog Carmel dessert was sweet. I had forgotten my umbrella at the hotel and as soon as I was done eating, there was a downpour. I stood outside waiting for the rain to let up, and the manager comes over to me outside and asks if he could assist me. I told him I was waiting for the rain. He asked me to follow him to his office upstairs, and he gave me a red umbrella (TRUE STORY). I am blown away by the southern hospitality at this restaurant!! Giving a perfect stranger your umbrella. Process that for a moment.

We had such high expectations for this place, this was our first restaurant outing in NoLa, but unfortunately we didn't enjoy it. The great: service was top notch (so lovely), and the drinks are unreal. The good: Filet with marchand de vin, oysters foch & baked alaska. The not so good: the oysters rockefeller we couldn't finish, souffle potatoes are meh, seafood gumbo was bland, the atmosphere was stuffy, we felt like we were at a lame wedding. Maybe try the boozy Friday lunch for a better experience.
Barbara Dondero
The food was delicious! The beef tenderloin Marchand de Vin fantastic! The Baked Alaska dessert was superb! It should get 5 stars except for our waiter Chuck! Waited 15 minutes before he came to the table and only after the bus person Gregory reminded him twice. Paid no attention to us; was rude and condescending and we waited another 20 minutes for the check. Gregory tried so hard to make us feel welcome.
Kelly Nelson
My girlfriends I had lunch at Antoine’s on our recent trip to NOLA. The restaurant itself, the ambiance and overall experience were 4 stars while the food was 3-4 stars. We all had the $20.20 winter lunch special. Everyone enjoyed the oysters and shrimp and grits. Mixed reviews on everything else. Nothing spectacular but not bad either. The sweet potato cheesecake was only a tiny square. I thought the food was decent overall for $20 but the atmosphere and getting a tour of the restaurant upon request after our meal by a waiter who has worked there for over 50 years was a treat! If you’re looking for a fancy meal in NOLA, our favorite was Brennan’s. If you’re looking for a lot of history and the oldest family owned restaurant in the U.S. with pretty good food, this is a neat place to come. Having done it once though, I doubt I’d come back a second time. If you go, be sure to ask for a tour!
Nicholas Roth
A great place to visit for history-related reasons, and because they claim to have invented oysters Rockefeller in 1899. They also have the second-largest wine cellar according to our server. The food was okay too!
Cory Douglas
The history is exceptional and it was overall a nice experience. Although, the service was not equivocal to what you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. For a $300 dinner/wine for 2 people, Shouldn't the bread crumbs be combed off the table? The assistant waiter spilled food twice on the table and never cleaned it up.
Rick Feineis
Great meal with my friends from around the world. They all said that it was the best place to dine during our 5 day trip to New Orleans. Make sure you walk around to see all of the Mardi Gras photos in the back. Lots of artifacts to admire. 2nd largest wine cellar.
The Oysters Rockefeller were not what I expected. They are nothing like what you have had in other restaurants. No one at the table liked them. My friend from India said that they tasted like Indian food.
HIGHLY recommended place to fine dine.
Eric Semple
A great meal with outstanding service. Try the baked Alaskan for dessert.
Desiree D'Alessandro
Absolutely beautiful and high class experience! The shrimp and grits was divine! Loved exploring the artifacts and wine cellar that holds thousands of bottles
Mike Zubrowski
Amazing...all around. Wonderful food and service.
M Eden
We wandered in with no reservation at lunch-time, thankfully we were tastefully well-dressed, and were seated almost immediately in the beautiful front dining room. Our server was very kind when I explained I was on a mission to taste the best of NOLA for my first visit. The St. Germain champagne cocktail was inspired, the oysters Noch amazing! I simply must figure out sauce Colbert! Fabulous escargot. There is some kind of MAGIC involved w souflee potatoes!!! Thank you, even more, for inviting us to explore the back rooms. We really appreciated learning the amazing Proteus history of Antoine's. What an amazing first visit to NOLA. Thank you, for exceeding in every way. I'll be seeing you on my next trip, because now... Im hooked! I'll be sure to make a res next time, I promise.
Dianna Mock
My husband had the fish amandine with the lump crab meat and he liked it so much he asked the chef to come out and hugged him. He said it was the best meal he had ever had. So glad we tried it!
Georgia McWhorter
Thank you for making my birthday special. Our host Jamal was so kind and personable. He was so sweet and knowledgeable. It is the people that makes a city special. Jamal is one of those special people. Oh and the food was incredible.
Kelly Folk
Last night we had a lovely dinner unfortunately my husband got sick in the restaurant nothing to do with the meal the staff and the patrons around us went above and beyond. My husband stopped breathing and total panic set in the amount of comfort and reassurance thatI received was amazing. The city of New Orleans was great also thank you again for everything.
We will see you soon sincerely

Wanted the world famous Oysters Rockefeller. They were terrible. I really wasn't sure what I was rating. They were dark, dark green and tasted like grass. The filled was average.
Marc Albert
We ate lunch there. They have a great special - a three course meal for $20.19. You can order up to three drinks of the day for $0.25 each too!
The food is just plain wonderful. The charred oysters were some of the best things we’ve ever eaten. The praline bread pudding was fantastic.
*** Highly Recommended ***

I had the Antoines Salad which was good. The Baked Alaska dessert was extraordinary. Scrumptious. My all time favorite dessert. Definitely recommended.👍🏽
Paul Nebel
Super slow service. Took 3 hours to complete the meal, constantly waiting for the server to come around. Server didn't want to split our $550 check... said the bank would make a mistake if she tried and suggested we Venmo each other. We refused and she eventually split our check just fine. Food was okay. Nothing memorable. Nice venue with tons of potential.
Gilbert Trill
Brunch at Antoine’s with my wife was very good. The service from Larry and his assistant was excellent and made the whole experience exceptional. We will definitely be back.
Charlie Ho
A was a bit disappointed in my experience at Antoine's. We had a reservation for a party of 4. While we were seated quickly, we were in a small table top compared to the larger 4 tops that only had 2-3 guests. The table they gave us was only set up for a party of 3, so we had to wait for a fourth chair and cutlery setup. Didn't make sense to me. Also, they seem to make a fuss about the dress code on their website, stating no shorts, jeans, athletic wear, collared dress shirts preferred for men... But when we show up, there are people with tshirts and shorts. The service was not great, took about 10 minutes after we were seated for someone to come to the table. One person just placed four loaves of bread on my plate and left instead of putting it in the center. We got the 20.20 lunch special on addition to drinks and other appetizers. The charbroiled oysters were amazing, the best part and probably only redeeming part of this lunch. The shrimp and grits had a very good sauce, but the shrimp were overcooked and mushy. The pumpkin cheesecake was not memorable, felt like something I could get a Rouses. Not sure if I'll be rushing to come back anytime soon based on this experience when we have so many other great restaurants in New Orleans.
Libby Lee
Finally trying this place after many trips to New Orleans. The oysters Rockefeller was created here and a definite must to order if you like oysters. After, ask about the tour of the restaurant, you can see the wine cellar and some Mardi Gras Krewe rooms with some of their costumes and history of the Krewes
Cindy Ibarra
Very underwhelming. The food is unfortunately very bland. It came out super fast which made me feel like it was not made fresh to order. I had a lot of bones in my fish filet. The oysters were very good though. I would skip it.
Kieran Clark
This is probably the most amazing restaurant I have ever been to.
There is so much history and tradition oozing from every inch of this establishment, that you can't help but feel a little awed. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable - many of them part of families that have worked here for generations.
The wine selection is top tier and the food is impeccable. My God, the food...
I was dining as part of a larger group, and we were able to sample a wide range of their menu. There wasn't a single item I tried that wasn't one of the best versions I'd ever had.
I have eaten in some fantastic restaurants here in the US and Europe, and Antoine's easily goes toe to toe with any of them.
If you ever find yourself in New Orleans, make an effort to have a meal at this wonderful establishment.
Betty Fraser
The gumbo was okay, my oysters rockefeller needed to go in the trash...overcooked to the point there was a film on the spinach. My boyfriends entree was also quite bad. I will give the devil coffee drink and presentation 5 stars and the baked alaska was stellar. Service was wonderful too
Sofia Clariana
Wonderful french cuisine! We waited 15-20 mins to be seated without reservation. The $20 lunch menu is fantastic for 3 dishes. Portions are European style, much smaller than American usual. The sirloin was spectacular! We also tried the Rockefeller oysters which were too dense for my taste. It was hard to taste the oyster. The gratin crab lump was really good! Despite the size of the restaurant, which is huge, food came out pretty fast. Service was ok.
Dominique B
I absolutely loved the environment and food. The lunch special for the year also amazing. What I absolutely hated was my service. My server name was Sterling. I watched him help other people and talked with them for awhile. He never came and took my drink order. It wasn't till someone else took my drink order that he even came and greeted me. When I finally gave my food order he shushed me when I was about to order my dessert. I would recommend this place to anyone. Hopefully they don't get Sterling.
Melissa
Outstanding NOLA gem. The food and the service was unmatched. Our waiter Eddie was so great and truly was the part of what made our experience top notch. After our meal he showed us around the other parts of the restaurant and it was like a museum. Can't thank him enough.
ROBIN WALKER
Another Office Christmas celebration in the books. Everything is absolutely delicious. Our service was impeccable. Outstanding experience all the way around.
Liz Hamlet
We attended the Jazz Brunch and it was absolutely sensational - it was a great experience and I have to call out Jack at how attentive and wonderful he truly was. He is the crème da la crème and made this brunch truly fantastic.
Sangtawun Miller
Fantastic lunch deal! 3 course meal (appetizer, main course, and dessert) for $21 in a beautiful restaurant. There are also bottomless mimosas!
Samantha Ruiz
5 stars all the way! We went for dinner last week and such a nice experience. It’s a very quaint upscale restaurant, in the French quarter. We ordered from the 3 course menu and it was perfect. We had the oysters, tuna, ribs and blueberry cobbler. All 5 stars. Shout out to Paul and Tyrell for their excellent customer service. The restaurant has a cool history and they were sure to tell us about it. They deserve all the tips! You are also able to walk around and see historic rooms and wine cellar. I definitely recommend going here for a date night or special occasion. I will go back to visit for sure! Cheers!
Juan Lima
First visit. Fabulous heritage and great history of the restaurant which dates back to the 1840. We had the coolinary menu with drinks costing only a quarter. Oysters were terrific and we ordered escargots as an extra appetizer. They were deshelled.
Street Guy
This is a must do on the list. Said to be one of the oldest restaurants in New Orleans it is awesome. Went for lunch and it was so tasty. Service is second to none!!!!!
Dress code, well everyone from t-shirts to suits, all are welcome!
Also have 14 dinning rooms which they encourage you to have a look around, reason for all the pictures.
A must a the list!!!!
Matt Lamb
We wanted so badly to love this place. First time here. Excellent atmosphere with tons of history. But our meals were just ok, service was so slow. We waited forever after we were done eating and couldn't get more drinks. Just not up to par for what the bill was.
Carly Hagins
We went to Antoine's for lunch the day we arrived in New Orleans, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is like a museum, and all the food we ordered was tasty. My vieux carre was artfully crafted. I appreciated that service was not rushed, even though we arrived about an hour before the end of their lunch service. The cafe brulot is a splurge but was an absolute highlight of our entire visit.
Charles Helms
A tour guide with Gray Lines recommended Antoine's, telling us about the great lunch special. What an awesome recommendation! I asked for the $20.19 winter lunch special menu. I enjoyed a 3-course meal, including 3 charbroiled oysters, Shrimp and Grits, and Bread Pudding for $20.19. An amazing meal at a truly amazing price. The waiter also asked me if I would like a lemon drop cocktail for 25 cent. For that price, I enjoyed 2!
Additionally, the wait staff was courteous and helpful. Sterling, an employee that has worked at the restaurant for more than 50 years, came to my table to meet me. He said he is 67 years old but loves his work and has no plans tp ever retire. Everyone was very friendly and the service was superb.
The restaurant is beautiful with 14 dining rooms.
Can't wait to go back to NoLa and pay another visit to Antoine's!
Kenneth Hui
We came by to Antoine's Restaurant for lunch. Their lunch special was a 3 courses meal for $20.19 and an option to buy unlimited Martini for $0.25. Our server (Sterling Armour) was amazing to show us the restaurant before it was opened at 11:30 am. It was like a history lesson and walking tour inside this historic restaurant. The restaurant is the oldest restaurant in the North America, it is family own for 6 generation. The foods were delicious and I highly recommended if you are visiting NOLA.
Anish Mukherjee
We went for the winter lunch special which is a 3 course meal for about $20. For the price the food was good, but nothing to write home about. Also if you are coming really hungry to this place, the food will probably not fill you up. They also had 25 cent cocktails for lunch, which in our case was a screwdriver martini, with what seemed like unlimited refills. Now that's a great deal if you want to get drunk quickly during midday on some really average cocktail.
Rachel Templeman
Trout Amandine is the best in the city! Love their food and service. To date, I've found two pearls in my oysters there - lagniappe!!!
John Hsieh
We visited Antoine's as one of our final meals in NOLA (saving the best for last). In case you don't realize, Antoine's is the birthplace of oyster Rockefeller, and we hated the oyster Rockefeller. Wait... what? Yeah, we learned that the original Rockefeller sauce is made from parsley (not the usual spinach), and well, we don't like parsley, at least not in this dosage. But... 5-stars? Yeah, it's so unique, we're so glad to have tasted the original so that we can come to decision that we didn't like it. Fortunately, there are plenty of other items on the menu. We ordered our baked oysters in 3 varieties, Rockefeller (didn't like), Thermidor (interesting), and Bienville (interesting). As every restaurant we have tried in NOLA, the gumbo recipe is all slightly different, and Antoine's gumbo was uniquely delicious. The entrees were the veal and the fried filet of gulf fish topped with crawfish. Both entrees were done well, but nothing to write home about. What blew our socks off was the "Baked Alaska". What the heck is this thing?!? It was so good that we just kept eating until we could barely walk out of the restaurant. If it wasn't for the fact that I was in business casual (dress code) that restricted my stomach expansion, I would have finished the last few bites. Anyways, we had a very good time, the service was good and the decor was very classic with pictures of other more famous people that had visited before us.
Oskar Mattsson
Very, very nice top tier restaurant. Pricey, but you expect that as part of the experience. Definitely fine dining by the book, N'awlins style!
Stephen Cassidy
Unfortunately despite its excellent reputation, fine service and amazing history, the quality of food was disappointing. While some dishes are outstanding including its timeless and signature dessert Baked Alaska, the chicken and meat entrees during our visit were uninspiring.
Kris Bilbrey
Had lunch here with my wife on NY day. Food was amazing and the staff were very good. A lot of history and atmosphere.
Amanda Nunez
My family had a wonderful visit. Everything we tried was delicious. The staff were exceptionally great with my 2 1/2 year old which isn’t always the case in a nice restaurant. Too often they assume kids are going to ruin other peoples experience so I appreciate it when a place will give my kid a chance and we all enjoy a delicious meal.
lynn marshall
Had lunch with my friend on Thursday 23rd December.I had never ate there before and as I hadn't seen my friend in months we took our time between eating, drinking and chatting. We were both deeply offended when 2 to go cups were given to us and explained that we could pour our drinks in these and leave. We informed the staff that we lived here, both in the service industry and it was not exactly a subtle hint!.The restaurant was empty and we had both spent more than enough on our lunch and tip but because we had Irish accents we were being shued off.I never expected such treatment and will be reluctant to return or recommend. What had been a good experience had turned into us being a nuisance
Carolina Lugo
The place is like a museum...it has plenty of rooms and all of them have stories to tell, this restaurant has an unique atmosphere.
Food was great, the oysters were superb and the shrimp bisque was delicious, entres were good too; we went at lunch and the portions were little but it 's what you expect in a french restaurant.
Desserts were fine...specially the pecan bread pudding.
They had 25 cents cocktails...fruit punch with vodka that were very refreshing.
Severs were very nice, but it was a little slow after entres, we requested more bread that never came and we waited about 15 minutes for dessert.
This is a pricy place but they have a good deal at lunch for $22
Janice McDonald
It never fails to impress. The food is amazing and the service impeccable. Bottomless champagne for lunch? If you insist!
Lisa Lam
Came here right when they opened at 11:30 am for solo dining. Got the new winter lunch menu, a 3 course meal for $20.19. I started off with the winter salad, it was mediocre. Should've been mixed more. The artichoke leaves in it we're rough. For the 2nd course, I got the stuffed pork chop. They don't ask you how you want it cooked, so I'm guessing all their pork chops are cooked well done. It was a kinda dry, but the eggplant andouille saved it. The mashed sweet potatoes were good with it as well. For dessert, the cranberry bar was a nice. I was done eating in 50 minutes since I came in. Overall, the food was okay (nothing spectacular) but it's the price point that you'd come for. My waitress was nice. Some of the people serving water just ignore you as you say "thank you" which was a small observance. They could definitely improve in the overall food quality and service a bit. Great presentation on the plates though!
Pedro Colón
Expensive but the baked Alaska, bread and cheese appetizer was spectacular
Jennifer Short
Rich with history and the food lived up to expectations! Our waiter was marvelous and clearly loves working there! He even gave us an after-dinner tour and invited us to look around on our own. I highly recommend the Cafe Brulot Diabolique!
Drake Williams
Very good service, waiter had interesting historical information on the place. You can order the drink of the day, up to three at a quarter(.25) per drink. Lunch special good value. Courses average to good, however the dessert was excellent. They are currently under a renovation, adding an elevator. The interior itself was the most interesting part, especially the wine corridor. I would have given a 4.3.

I've always wanted to try this place, going back 20+ years. Girlfriend took me for my 40th birthday. This was a truly special meal. Got to have three different kinds of oysters including oysters Rockefeller, gumbo, and a delicious chicken entree. The piece de resistance though was the baked Alaska for dessert. They even wrote a happy birthday message in the merangue. I will never forget it. Thank you Antoines for making my milestone birthday so special!
Mariana Dominguez
A must see when in New Orleans! They're not messing around with the .25 cocktails, and the food was delicious. Our server was amazing and recommended we tour the place after eating, which we did and were blown away at the size and beauty of the place. Definitely recommend going
Danielle Barger
Great staff and lovely atmosphere. The food was stellar and my server helped a lot with cocktail recommendations. We were attended to with care. Our server didn’t come to the table 20 times to ask how we were getting along, he let us carry on with our dinner in peace at the same time knowing exactly when to offer us more water/cocktails/etc. great experience and large portions. Quite large.
Megan Cortney
When we chose NOLA for honeymoon location, we made this reservation first and foremost for our trip. We are so glad we did, because the entire dinner from start to finish was delicious and the portions were the biggest we had out there for sure. Definitely recommend that baked Alaskan for dessert! You'll never forget the presentation 😁 …

This place is an iconic restaurant. Great food and awesome service. I highly recommend their Filet de Gulf Poisson aux Ecrevisses Cardinal and Pudding de Pain de Noix de Pecan. We also had the Filet de Boeuf Marchand de Vin. It was tender that I actually used a butter knife to cut it.
Perks Advisor
This is a well known New Orleans restaurant serving various tradition dishes such as fried fish in hot butter. I had the grilled fish and the potatoes au gratin. It was good but not really a culinary experience for the relative expense. Granted it is in the middle of the French quarter and you would not expect low prices
David McConnell
absolutely a challenge to decide between appetizers. the main entree Veal took the award. Dessert another roulette of decisions. Lastly topped with a coffee flambay...
Ashley Lloyd
Such a cool place and experience. We got the oysters and seafood gumbo, it was so yummy! Then we got a tour as well! Definitely recommend this place!
Amber B.
Classic French New Orleans at its finest. Tradition survives here, even with their city"s best lunch deal, three courses for $20.20. Service never suffers, nor does the cuisine. Find yourself a piece of tradition and civility in NOLA.
Nian Liu
The lunch special is a must have for the new Orleans visit. Very good value for a taste of the gustatory history and fine dining tradition of NOLA. To be honest, there are many good resteraunts in new Orleans, some of which had even better food, however, no other restaurant can compare to Antonio's legendary history and the unique atmosphere.
D.B. Norton
Antoine's is one the finest dining establishments in New Orleans where its history is as rich as its food. There's a reason this place has been in business for over 175 years, it's because the food is good and the service is even better! Our waiter Boudreaux ws amazing! He expertly guided us through the menu making great recommendations with cajun charm. We dined on an off menu oyster trio of their famous oysters Rockefeller, oysters Bienville, and oysters thermidor. It was awesome. We also had French onion soup and the deleicous veal chop! For dessert, we had their famous baked Alaska, which has been on the menu longer than Alaska has been a state! We are definitely coming back!
Michael Fraser
We are here mid-afternoon and their $20 pick three items was awesome. Charred oysters were phenomenal and so was the flank steak. We suggest the casual tour they offer after your meal. #pintsforksfriends
Fernanda Alves
Good restaurant with uncountable years of tradition and history... When you go, make sure you ask for the tour, totally worth it. I thought the food was quite basic. The Rockefeller oysters was a little bit too strong for my taste but it was my personal opinion, definitely you give a try.
George Tassin
This is a must eat place in New Orleans. The classic prepared food was absolutely delicious. The staff was super attentive and very happy to serve you. Make sure you do the Jazz brunch so you can hear some wonderful New Orleand Jazz music as well...
Lisa Lin
Went here for the summer lunch menu. We were seated but no waiters came to use for about 5 minutes... I think the hostess forgot to tell the waiter she had seated someone at their section.. finally got a waiter who seemed less than impressed with us there. That could just be his personality. Monotoned and disinterested. I wish we had a more engaging waiter as it was our first time at Antoine’s and they have good reviews.
Charbroiled oysters were very small and mildly disappointing, all I tasted was garlic and cheese. The crawfish etouffee was delicious and just the right amount. Dark chocolate mousse was very good as well. My friends had the chicken entree and they both enjoyed it. Good value for a lunch in New Orleans.
Jody Staples
This place was recommended to us while taking a tour of the French Quarter. I think the restaurant paid the tour guide for making the recommendation. After the tour we found our way back to Antoine's for lunch and it really wasn't worth it. My husband and I ordered soup and we split the appetizer for two- neither one of us enjoyed the meal. It sounded like it would be good, even interesting from the description on the menu but it definitely did not translate to the plate. The service was just average.
Jay Sea
Really good food in amazing staff. This restaurant has been around since forever. if you go back even a year later, ask for your usual person and you have the same experience year in and year out, apparently a lot of people work there for very long term because of this. Absolutely worth every minute and Penny we spent
Carl Forman
Best Gumbo I have had. Baked Alaska was excellent. I will be back!! Atmosphere, service was great!!
Eryn Hodges
One of the best experiences while we were in New Orleans! We did the $20.17 autumn lunch special which was fabulous and so many great samplings of their local specialties. Our waiter Winchester and his assistant Randolph were awesome and made everything so enjoyable. Randolph gave us a great tour of the restaurant after our meal, and the history is so fascinating! Everything about it was great, especially the value of what we got compared to what we spent! Must do when in New Orleans!! Can't wait to come back next time!
Miguel Lopez
Great food but what's more impressive is the service.
Karen Vlahos
Old school restaurant with lots of charm. Wish I could add a video to share our dessert experience. Lets just say, if I we you, I would order the cherries jubilee. 🍒❤️🍒 …

Antoine's Restaurant never disappoints. It is the oldest restaurant in the country that has been continuously owned by the same family, since 1840, and the 8th oldest in operation. The chateaubriand on friday evening was the best I've ever enjoyed. When it reached my location in the mirror-wall dining room, it had a lightly crusted exterior seasoned just enough to bring any pallet to attention without overwhelming the taste and quality of such an excellent cut of beef. It arrived as one very generous portion for two, carved and served tableside. Sorry I didn't think to acquire evidence throughout the event, and at least for this country farm girl, it was an "event". 😲
Today's Sunday brunch? Well, once again, it was nothing short of amazing. I had the 3 course Sunday Jazz Brunch special that started with a trio of oysters Rockefeller, Thermidor and Bienville. FYI, Antoine's is famous for being the originator of Oysters Rockefeller. Now, I am not and have never been a huge fan of duck or goat cheese, (having had a very unpleasant experience with a four-legged horned nanny as a child), but I decided, what the hey. Get over it. Live on the wild side for a bit. So, I ordered the thing. And OH my stars!! It was a succulent tender and mildly flavored generously portioned duck quarter served over a very light and airy cornmeal waffle that had been ever so slightly smeared with a buttery soft and mild goat cheese, and the whole of it adorned with a kumquat tomato fig jam. ABSOLUTELY AND COMPLETELY AMAZING.
And the final course? Yep, one of my all time favorite little old southern lady delights - the most decadent, warm cinnamon filled and perfectly textured pecan bread puddings EVER. Topped off with a silky smooth caramel type rum sauce accompanied by a decorative smidgen of fresh whipped cream on the side.😋 It took all of my female wiles to keep Vic from licking the plate. Although, I'm pretty sure I left a few utensil scrapes.😂 Go ahead and laugh, but I promise, they were there. The jazz band was equally delightful with 3 old guys mixing instruments and breaking about every 15 minutes, no doubt to gain time to recover oxygen levels. Not so incidentally, the service at Antoine's is unsurpassed and with good reason. It takes 3 years of apprenticeship to earn the title. Antoine's - always, always a pleasure. Hope you make it there on your next trip to NOLA. Know that you are loved. t

I spent months scouring restaurants in the French Quarter for a special birthday dinner to kick off my father’s 60th birthday weekend and couldn’t be more satisfied with our pick of Antoine’s - a perfect place to feel you are dining in the heart of the history of New Orleans + experiencing authentic creole cuisine. Our waiter Austin went above and beyond to make our table feel special and we enjoyed hearing his history of working at Antoine’s for over 40 years! We enjoyed Sauzeracs, both types of oysters, pompano and fish amandine, and closed with a birthday dessert and exquisite coffee drink. After the meal, we walked around the various rooms of the restaurants with keepsakes from across the restaurants history - our favorite rooms being the wine cellar, queen of Mardi Gras and display cases of ash trays from around the world. Thank you Austin and Keisha for a wonderful dining experience. My one nitpick would be that the maître d’ made us feel uncomfortable upon our arrival - not very welcoming and felt uppity even though our group was in the appropriate dress code and had our vaccine cards ready. We were worried this was going to ruin the experience but luckily was just an initial blip!

This place is a must! We went there for brunch and took the winter special set menu breakfast. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, service was excellent. Charcoal baked oysters were AMAZING! And, of course, 25cent martinis.
The place is huge, I highly recommend to walk around after you are done eating, the place is like a museum. Second floor has amazing lavish private dining rooms (if I understood correctly they are on a first come first get basis).

Wonderful restaurant, so nice and the food is wonderful the originators of the oysters Rockefeller!!!, we stay 4 days in nola and we came 3 times!!!! The food was exquisite tbe servers and manager was great!!!! I will go back just to eat at this restaurant.

Went for the 20.18 winter luncheon special. The food was ok but nearly as good as I expected for a historic NOLA restaurant. The Yukon mashed potatoes had a few big chunks of potatoe and while the shrimp bisque had good flavor, it was a brown broth with no shrimp at all. Others in my party enjoyed the chargrilled oysters. Cocktails were all way too sweet- .25 cocktail (which we over heard another server mentioning) and the regular priced lemon drop- sent it back to be re-made. Service, though friendly, was not as expected. Had to request bread other tables received. Several times food was brought to table that wasn't ours and entrees were more room temp warm, not hot.
Wish I would have gotten the offer to hear about the history of the restaurant that others mention as 2 of us arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time and were seated, and had about 25 minutes before we ordered. Not worth the $40/person we wound up spending-we each had regularly priced cocktail. We will celebrate our birthdays somewhere else next year.
The architecture of room we were in was beautiful.
Yes, we are local New Orleanians.

Such an amazing historic place. Very cute and the staff was amazing meeting all of our needs. We were a large group with some needy people but they were so nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and I'll definitely be back when I visit again.
Michelle Stoller
Exquisitely delicious food. Superb service... formal yet friendly. Beautiful ambience.

We went to Antoine's on the recommendation after a walking tour. The place itself has a really interesting history and is wonderful to see and experience.
The service from all the people who welcomed us, walked us to our table and served us was really first class, they really know how to treat the customer well.
We ate from the lunchtime special al a carte menu, basically three course meal for $20. The food we had was great, I was expecting to be underwhelmed by the food but I definitely wasn't. The warm fresh bread rolls were a delicious start. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience.
I would definitely return for lunch, well worth the cost. Oh and you can get 25c cocktails, naturally we had to!!!
Thank you for a memorable lunchtime experience.
Stanley Harris
An iconic venue; my dinner partner enjoyed his first meal there in 1961. Order the gumbo; order the pommes soufflées -- one can't go wrong.
Christina Sims
Oldest Standing Restaurant in the US. We came in during their Lunch Special offer $20.20! What a deal. Oysters Rockefeller were bomb... .25 cent lemon Drops 🍋😋 Austin was a server and he over delivered. What a delight! …

I'd probably give this a 3.5. Antoine's is an institution obviously, and it is very unique. The scope and look of the place is really unbelievable, and just eating here feels like you are a part of history. The service is so different from anything we regularly experience, and overall very good. The food is very traditional, but also very good. I think this place is good especially for a big dinner with a group. The downside is that overall it can feel a bit dated. Because I'm sure they get a ton of tourists, the service can sometimes feel a little contrived and patronizing. My wife and I have eaten here twice, and have been given the same talks both times by the waiter. On our last visit, he kept invuting us to take the paper menus for a souvenir, which we did not want, and then actually brought us a bag to carry the menus, which made us feel basically obligated to take them. It just kind of felt like we were labeled, and then treated in a very specific way. That being said, I do feel like this is a place where I could get anything I wanted. They are serious about accommodating guests. A piece of history, a great place to take the family, but probably not a place we will visit frequently.
David Patricio
We had Mother’s Day brunch here. It was very nice. The soufflé potatoes were great. The service is top notch. Thank you Chetta and Walter for taking care of us so well.
Gary Buckley
The food and history were awesome. I will say their take on the oysters Rockefeller was little to be desired. I have never had an issue with oysters, but these I had to force down. Other than that I would definitely visit again. If on Bourbon Street it is definite must!
Margaret Smith
Wonderful lunch at Antoine's, always a favorite place to go. Consistently amazing service and excellent food. Beautiful and inviting spaces.
Lisa-Marie
Went for the set lunch menu and 25cent cocktails. The oldest restaurant in New Orleans with a lot of history. Food delicious, ambience was rather old timey. Was offered a tour of the building and dining rooms mostly themed and offered history on Mardi Gras traditions. Would go again.

Everything was perfect! Shout-out to Chad, he made our experience even better!
Kim Middleton
The service was amazing!!! Chuck took care of us. We went in for the oysters Rockefeller and was totally disappointed with taste, presentation and smell. We switched to the chargrilled version and they were delicious!!! The picnic chicken was great, mac and cheese was bland, collard green were fresh but barely seasoned. The pontchatrain (sp?) was bland but light and tender, no butter sauce as indicated in the menu. Bread pudding was delicious!

First of all, this review is a little late in the making. My wife and I travelled to New Orleans at the end of April for my 50th. We couldn’t go to Paris, so we went to the French Quarter instead. I had always wanted to go to Antoine’s but for all of my previous visits to New Orleans, I was broke. This time I wasn’t. First of all, the place has been around for 180 years. That’s just CRAZY. The place looks exavtly like the pictures online and from the moment that you enter the restaurant you are transported to another world. We started off with the Escargot Bourguignon and the Souffle Potatoes. The escargot was delicious, but nothing out of this world. Now, the souffle potatoes were INCREDIBLE. I’m talking finger-licking good. I would go back just for these potatoes. My wife had the Filet with Marchand de Vin and I had the Creole Shrimp. Both were very good, but the star of the show was the Baked Alaska. This just happens to be my wife’s favorite dessert and it did not disappoint. My wife unequivocally stated that this was the best Baked Alaska that she had ever had. That says a lot, my friends. The French 75 cocktail that I had was good. Overall, we truly enjoyed our experience at Antoine’s and even though I didn’t get to go until 25 years AFTER my first trip to New Orleans, it was well worth the wait.

I had dinner at Antoine's the other night while visiting New Orleans. It was easy to make a reservation through Open Table. I opted to go fairly early, 6:30 p.m. and was greeted and seated right away. The room I was in was really large and close to the check-in stand. It wasn't as quaint as other places I've been, but the food was certainly the star of the show.
I started out with an escargot appetizer and it was delicious. The loaf of French Bread that came with each table was great with this appetizer. Opted for the soft-shell crabs and a side of cream spinach for my meal. Both were delicious and properly executed. Wait staff was on point and provided great service and recommendations.
I recommend.

The Classics. What can one say? Its been around since 1840 and still going strong. Recent (well, since the end of the Depression) competition had allowed them to off an amazing lunch Special: 3 courses for $20.19! With (!) .25 cent cocktails. LOL keyboards now don't even have a key for "cents" anymore... They will make a "cocktail of the day" as the special... When we went it was a Cosmo. Don't forget to ask about the upstairs Mardi Gras museum-quality exhibits. Heck the whole place is a living museum and probably one of the few places still serving classic European escargot. Forums the Picnic Fried Chicken to have a delightful sweetnessbto the beading (honey?) and the Shrimp Creole was so bright it felt like the veggies in it were picked that morning. Oldest restaurant in the US and in New Orleans? For $20.19? Don't miss it. We go back every season...

My grandma celebrated her 50th in 1977 with the family. I have treasured pictures of that day. I had been to NOLA many times but never Antoine's. Wanted to go to commemorate this and experience the famous Antoine's. The dress code is lax compared to years past and it was a tad disappointing to see what some people were wearing. The staff is dressed in almost tuxes. I ordered the crawfish bisque. Excellent. Not overly salty or fishy.
We ordered the baked Alaska because that was what Nan had for her 50th. I'd never had it. I was glad to try it at a restaurant with decades of experience. It was small but too much for 2 people so we shared with another table. Overall excellent experience. Apparently it's mostly tourist that go these days vs locals. Sad. There are so many restaurants in NOLA it's hard to visit one multiple and if I do its Emeril's delmonico on st Charles. Smaller building that is easier to get to. As they say, NOLA is my favorite restaurant!

Great food with a free historic tour of the oldest French restaurant in town

Had brunch at Antoine's all the while Julie Jules and her jazz band provided beautiful ambience. The gluten free options are not easily identified. But be careful to specify as even my gluten free order came out on top of bread. Their food was delicious, nonetheless. Also, be sure to take a look around. This is an establishment that just keeps going.
Rachel T
"Coolinary" menu items were delicious! I also had a hard-to- find Basil Hayden bourbon to accompany the meal. Perfection!
Viki G
We went to Sunday Jazz Brunch, and enjoyed the ambiance and live music. My food—I had the fried oysters with rice—was really more 2.5 stars. My husband’s steak was good, and the bread pudding was outstanding. The service was very good, especially in regards to the tour we got of the restaurant after our meal. Their wine cellar is the 2nd largest above-ground cellar in America, at just under half the length of a football field. The drinks, the service, the history... that’s why I gave it four stars. You’re there for the experience.
Dave Silva
Very happy with Antoine’s. The food was good but the overall experience was better. Very cool place with a ton of different dining rooms. The waitstaff were very nice.
Charles Conti
One of the most iconic restaurants in all of New Orleans. Requested Sterling a waiter that has been there 52 years. Took the tour with him to see all of the facility which is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the veal chop with foie gras.
Michael Bryson
An impulse walk-in at 6 on a Saturday, and they were able to accommodate me immediately, despite the fact it was obvious they were going to be very busy that night. The food was fabulous--the center-cut filet was a perfect medium-rare (in a world where nearly everyone, even the better places, turns medium-rare into medium or even medium-well). Two French wines and a Gateau de Chocolate later, and I was very happy to have taken the side paths away from Bourbon Street. (Though Antoine's is on St. Louis between Bourbon and Royal, it is a world away at the same time.)
Rennie Schafer
Have read the mixed reviews on this place but my experience was definitely 5 star. In fairness we had a private room with top shelf wine and a chef recommended sample of the food, all of which was delicious. Particularly liked the soft shell crab and the baked Alaska to finish was ideal. Then took a tour of this remarkable building literally brimming with history. A very memorable night.
Henrique Barbosa
I came for lunch, on a Saturday, at about 2pm. I was alone and it took about 5min to get a seat. The special lunch menu is a must! You get all Antoine's experience and atmosphere for a budget price. They don't have espresso, but my waiter ran next doors an got one for me! Wow, I would give 6 start if I could.
Jill Dahlburg
The best anywhere, any time. Dinner, lunch, the Sunday jazz brunch .. we walk in serene, knowing that we will have a great experience and always leave happy and content. The ideal of what a restaurant should be! Perfect Eggs Benedict, too. : )

A really great experience.
Food was amazing and Chad is 10.

Excellent food, our server Chuck was the very very best. Excellent knowledge and great personality, touring the restaurant to see the wine room was amazing.

Sunday Jazz Brunch was great! The food was delicious and the service was impeccable! I highly recommend the Sunday Jazz Brunch experience when visiting NOLA! ❤️👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾❤️
Carmaletha Watley
Really tight seating for our group size. Tabke cloth was stained and my napkin had food on it. Not what I expected for such an expensive place.
Esteban
The food is good but I got the 1:30 reservation and my whole family felt like the people working there were rushing us out. There was still a lot of people there. Lunch coolinary price was fair, tasty food 😋 …
Missy Galang
Come for the lunch special which includes a three course meal for 20+ and 0.25 drink of the day. the food was generally not memorable but their grilled oysters were pretty good. The charming ambiance and great service makes it an experience you'd want to have.
Joseph Feliciano
Oysters, Oysters, Oysters! If you have ever wondered where Oysters Rockafeller was invented, this is the place. They have 2 sections there, formal and informal, on this particular day I chose informal. I only came here for their oysters and I was not disappointed. They have several options on how you want your oysters dressed. I can't say I liked all of their options but 90% of it was fantastic.
John Redcorn
Very beautiful restaurant. 10/10 would visit again! Waiters are super courteous and attentive!

Whet to Antoine’s for dinner tonight. We were in town for the GROW conference. VIP ticket holders went and had dinner together. We had the shrimp remoulade to start. It was amazing the sauce was excellent without overpowering the shrimp in the dish. I then had the filet petite as the main course. It was cooked to a warm pink center. The mushroom gravy was great with the dish with mashed potatoes. We finished it off with the baked Alaska. It was a rich combination of flavors that while sweet was not over powered. All in all a good experience for me.
Farrel Silverman
A place that has survived over 100 years can't be bad, right? Antoine's reputation precedes them, and everything was wonderful including their charbroiled oyster sampler, the rack of lamb, and dessert (their famous Baked Alaska). Lovely French Creole cuisine.
Chuck Bennett
Had the lunch special. Have been to Antoines many times, but this time was not up to par. Menu items were few and of average quality. However, peach cobbler was to die for.
Garrett Zimmer
Very very nice restaurant. Saw it on the Travel Channel and just had to go try it. We had a blast. Highly recommended
Josh Seamon-Ingalls
Delectable food (shrimp grits and bread pudding perfection!) paired with an incredible ambiance and stellar service make Antoine’s a super memorable experience!

The best restaurant we visited so good we went back. Everything is perfect.

Sunday Brunch
A must dining experience while in Nola .
Service is unmatched as well as the deliciousness of the food.
Elizabeth Pinella
This was an amazing experience. It did not disappoint in any way was more spectacular than expected. Had the wine and dinner 3 course pairing and was delighted. Others in my party were amazed with their choices also. So happy to have eaten here. Should be a must for anyone coming to NOLA. Bucket list entry fulfilled. THANK YOU!
Josh Ecksmith
I had a great visit here. I did not know the history before going. I had zero expectations. Great flavor, great service, great ambiance. Would go again. Would recommend.
Jamie Green
We had amazing service! Paul was a fantastic server and his assistant was always quick with refills and anything we needed. The food was delicious and the Cafe Brûlot experience was everything we imagined. I recommend ordering the suggestions from your server. We skipped breakfast and made the earliest reservation at 11:00 AM and it wasn’t busy for a Friday lunch until about 12:30. This definitely helped with the attentive experience we had.

Reserved the Tabasco Room (also called the Last Room) 3 months before our trip to New Orleans so that we could have private dining in the French Quarters oldest French eatery to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We were not disappointed, everything was more than we could have hoped for. Very attentive waitstaff, very courteous host, perfectly cooked dinner, a dessert that was absolutely to die for, and complimentary champagne to start our celebration. I can't thank them enough for such a perfect night.
cynthia willis
Excellent food. Fun 180 year old history. Really appreciated server who kindly took us on tour of restaurant showing us 25,000 bottle wine cellar, special use rooms, parts of restaurant used for jail, speakeasy and escape door and other historical collections. An excellent dining experience with a bonus!
Nicole Poling
Rich in experience, flavor, class and history. I can't wait to go back. I love that the menu is small and simple. Oysters were amazing. My bff and I never found the bottom of our Bottomless mimosas. The staff went above and beyond with both knowledge of restaurant and of course the food. Best brunch location.
Catheen D'Antoni
The food was good but not as good as my memory of time we visited before. The waiter was good but I wish he would have told me to order the trout almondine instead of the pompano Pontchartrain; the pompano was good but felt it lacked flavor and I had bones in my fish. I felt he recommended the pompano because it cost more.
brian froese
Came for a bachelor party and had a fantastic experience. Ordered the Baked Alaska and they put on an absolute SHOW. Then our waiter gave us a tour of the place afterwards. Didn't realize how much history this place has. Super authentic. Get those Oysters Rockefeller!
Jeffrey Pinhey
Great atmosphere and history! Jacket is required, but, saw diners in t-shirts and jeans which was a little disappointing considering the stature of the establishment.
That aside, everything from our waiters, from cocktails right through to desserts, was AMAZING!!
Laura Ezell
Wonderful dining experience! Our waiter was great. Love the history of the establishment and the food was great!
Scott Jackson
5 star white tablecloth restaurant service and food were excellent 4 dollar signs pricing but it matches the quality of the product and experience
brandon schwartz
Stopped in to try the originator of oysters Rockefeller and was not disappointed. Tried the sazerac as well, both very good!
Nancy Pantone
We were there to celebrate our 50th anniversary tonight. Everyone knew. Our waiter ignored us all evening after taking our order. He hung with one table of his regular customers throughout our entire meal, leaving his second to deliver our food. The food was terrific, our waiter's service was lacking. No managers visited our table. Before leaving i told our waiter how disappointed I was and that he did nothing to make our evening special. He gave us 2 little plastic Antoine glasses and apologized.
Kailey Rose
I would give ten stars if I could. The service was incredible - Gregory is a real keeper - we had a reservation at 1:30 pm and with the restaurant closing at two he was beyond understanding and accommodated our every need. He even made a Baked alaskan happen which I know cannot always be done at lunch. We had the cold shrimp and crab salads which were excellent as well as the oysters "chocolate sauce" which have a different name I just can't remember. We had the chicken salad which was divine, a burger cooked perfectly with delicious fries , a pompano don't forget to add the crab meat and also the shrimp creole which was so fabulous. The drinks martinis beers and bottomless mimosas were all excellent. The atmosphere is amazing its like a fancy old museum. I loved getting to see the old wine cellar. If you are headed to New Orleans this fabulous restaurant needs to be top of your list.
Sewar Sawalha
Very good food, excellent service, a bit pricey though. Had the pompano fish, was excellent. The gumbo was also very good. The bread budding was nice
Nicholas Zolnerowich
Great place to go if you want good food and a really top-notch service experience. The waiters were extremely professional. Our server recommended the bottomless mimosas which seemed expensive but turned out to be a great deal since he came by and topped us off with champagne every five minutes (and occasionally orange juice; no complaints here). The food was great, especially the chargrilled oysters. If you're worried about cost, their summer special is a nice deal. Very cool experience.
Raymond Raffety
I had read a lot about Antoines before I made the reservations. The restaurant building is beautiful and huge with 14 dining rooms that are each unique. We ate in one of the main dining areas.
Service was great with a main waiter and several helpers.
We had their Oysters Rockefeller and puffed potatoes. They invented both. I would not recommend either of these. We also had the Escargot Bourguignon. This was great but not a lot of extra sauce to mob up with the bread.
My wife had the Fish Amandine which was OK but nothing special. I had the Chicken Rochambeau which was exceptional and unique. I made sure to get every last bite.
Overal it was a nice experience but we won't be back. Once was required and enough.
Lisa Romano
Chuck was an amazing server. He went above and beyond.
Oysters Rockefeller must try dish. Seafood Gumbo delicious. Highly recommended.
Paula Edwards
First impressions last and this was a good one. New menu, old favorites, friendly and helpful waiters. Excellent meal. Lovely venue and although reservations recommended (we had them) there were a few places available at the earlier hours of the evening for those who did not.
Cody Louviere
Amazing, traditional French fine dining. The service and food were impeccable.
I had a light lunch consisting of Escargot, Crawfish Bisque, and a Roquefort Wedge salad. Each dish was prepared perfectly.
The escargot were so very tender and the sauce was rich but not overwhelming. You could taste the garlic and mushrooms play together very well with the escargot and a little sprinkle of cheese added some nice texture. I wasn't planning on eating the whole loaf of bread, but between the escargot and the bisque it disappeared fast.
The bisque was dark, almost like a roux, and was full of crawfish flavor. It was the proper thickness and consistency for a bisque: right in the middle of a soup and a sauce reduction.
Lastly, the Roquefort Wedge salad was the perfect size. Some places offer an entire half head of iceberg and it seems wasteful, Antoine's had the right balance of greens, dressing, lardons, and cheese.
I will be back to try their other dishes and can't wait to delve into the entree selection.
Thanks Antoine's!
Dee Stafford
Antoine's never fails to impress! My 1st visit was in 1973...Dad had to order from the all-French language menu...never forgot the beautiful dining room & flaming cherries jubilee! Went back in 2005 for Anniversary...wonderful food and exceptionally nice staff...brought us complimentary bottle of Champagne ...perfect! Now, in 2022, we returned, w friends celebrating their Anniversary. And, ANOTHER perfect evening of fab food, excellent service and nice memories. All the bragging we did over the years about Antoines was backed up...our friends were most impressed. Oysters Rockefeller & Charbroiled Oysters were a hit with the guys, Ladies loved the Souffle Potatoes w Bearnaise Sauce...YUM!
Only thing I missed was the Cherries Jubilee...but the Baked Alaska was top-notch, worth every penny. If you are looking for a place to celebrate or just have some fine dining between poboys, head to Antoines..you wont regret it AND you'll understand why we keep going back👍👍👍

The food was edible but nothing we had wowed us. For a starter, we ordered the Oysters Rockefeller because this is the place that invented the dish. It was a disappointment. The spinach part of it is puréed. I’ve had the Rockefeller preparation at other places and I guess the reinvention is superior to the original. It was a bit salty as well. The shrimp creole bowl was gorgeous in presentation, but also mediocre. I hate to compare it to the Zatarain’s boxed version, but when the diced tomato chunks taste like canned tomatoes, at this price point I want to feel like a chef is truly preparing this dish from scratch, not just garnishing it beautifully with microgreens. The pompano dish with the crabmeat on top was good, but not delectable. The baked Alaska desert was massive. Our party was two people and the desert easily feeds five. It felt wasteful to leave it behind, but it’s not portable with ice cream in the middle. Fine dining is not rare in New Orleans and amazing food is a staple of our city. Antoine’s missed the mark. Service was competent and the main dining room was spacious enough where if there were more people there, it wouldn’t be uncomfortable. I’m not even opposed to the prices but for what we spent, I wanted to have a religious food experience. We left disappointed. Save your time and dine elsewhere. There are plenty of places to choose from.

Outstanding old line New Orleans Creole restaurant!!! Many people describe Antoine's as a "Food Museum" as so many of the dishes haven't changed since they were first put on the menu. This also has the effect that many of the dishes are very old school French Creole preparations (with no new fangled light Nouvelle cuisine preparation, no light & heathy, no vegetarian, no Tex Mex spice rub, fusion anything, no molecular foams, and no vegan special requests) so expect lots of heavy sauces and piles of glorious flavorful butter!!! This food (just like Galatoire's) might certainly not appeal to everyone but it is what it is and I LOVE it! Antoine's is also like a museum with all of the different theme rooms where you can see so much New Orleans history on display. The traditions live and the restaurant is also still very much alive and granted there are some dead periods when it is not that crowded but other times of year it will be buzzing with locals doing what we do best and living life to the fullest.
I find it very entertaining to read other reviews complaining about the Oysters Rockefeller and how they think spinach is better. Antoine's INVENTED Oysters Rockefeller back in 1899 and nobody else has cracked the recipe anywhere else; so all those other versions people have tried and base their comparisons are not real Oysters Rockefeller as you can only get the real deal at Antoines and they never had spinach on them!
I have dined at Antoine's many times and have almost always enjoyed my food and service. I've only had one less than great dinner here when I attended a private group function once with a set menu and I found that the portions were far too small for me and I was still hungry but the quality was still excellent. Often I will make a dinner simply out of several appetizers and find that a great way to introduce people from out of town to numerous treats that are available on the menu (without breaking any budgets). I usually end my dinners here with the Café Brûlot Diabolique (which has a mean kick and will certainly get you ready for a night out on the town or a nap if you drink too much of it). I also have enjoyed Antoine's new Hermes Bar where they have some additional lunch options and will allow you to order some things from their regular menu (but not everything). Dress to impress and enjoy yourself!
Paul Flores
Good, not great. Was a recommendation from a friend that experienced something that has since lost its luster. Servers were very good, guy that sat us seemed to not want to be there, but soft shell crab was delicious.
Kayla Guillory
Historical restaurant and very friendly service! I enjoyed this place (especially the bread rolls) but was slightly more impressed with the food elsewhere. I wouldn’t call it a “can’t miss” but this is a great place to go for a meal.
Lois De Lisle
It was our Anniversary And we totally enjoy this place.
Hector Garcia
Work luncheon during coolinary "Aug" month. Food was very good. We'll have to come back for dinner one day.
Lynn “Sunshine” Carter
Beautiful lunch! Wonderful service and good bottomless mimosas
Kael Parker
Great historic place! Loved looking around the many rooms and enjoying the stories and architecture. The food was good, but the breading on our softshell crab was quite heavy and made it difficult to eat and enjoy. Our server was a bit distracted, but we had everything we needed, so no matter.
lalala Miao
My most satisfied dining experience in New Orleans!!! Historical decorating style, cute waiter, and amazing food!
Highly recommend pompano pontchartrain

Great dinner- must stop in New Orleans! Yes order the Baked Alaska and tour all the dining rooms.

Great tradition but the food is above average. The wait staff gives every effort and are to be commended..

One of the best Restaurants I have ever been. Oldest French restaurant in USA and top 5 in oldest Restaurants ever. Seafood is awesome. Their original chef invented Caked Alaska and it's delicious (picture attached).

$20 lunch special and 0.25 cent cocktails how can you go wrong? Oysters were fantastic!

One of the all time, great restaurants! Wonderful personalities taking the best of care of their guests. Phenomenal food and wines. Not to be missed!

I was there for a large group dinner and we had the whole restaurant. The cocktails were in the front room which has no sound dampening so the volume reached a measured 110 decibels. The dining room was slightly better. Food was fine.
Carson
Good food and ambiance. We received a tour and were allowed to roam the top floor.
t tiff
Attractive set lunch menu brought us here. Felt more like buffet food than high quality white table cloth food. Will say that the trout was the better choice of the two main dish.
Emily Korenek
The food was great, but the best part was the tour from Jermaine. He was fabulous!
Stephen Walsh
I ordered the crab, crawfish cake. Waitress was good. The appitizer showed up drenched in some horrible red, mayonnaise sauce. The cake might have been good or bad who knows w the drek all over it. Meh! I mentioned that maybe they should put it on the side and allow the customer to decide on putting sauce on it. She, the waitress looked doubtful. I'll miss this place, next time.
Aiden Keller
The food was some of the best I've ever eaten.
Bruce Jacobs
Zyjaun was our server and was on point. He made wonderful recommendations and didn't disappoint. Chad took us on a tour of the various rooms in the restaurant and was patient, polite and courteous. We will definitely make it a point to dine here whenever we visit the city.
Vanessa Catania
We made reservations for our first night in NOLA. I am so glad that we did! It set the stage for what would prove to be an amazing trip. If you have the opportunity to eat here, I would highly recommend it. The Oysters Rockefeller, Escargot, and Baked Alaska were particularly amazing!
Kurt C.
Like many New Orleans fine dining restaurants, Antoine's is an excellent experience. Char-broiled oysters were very good. Service was very attentive, as Darrell was an exceptional server.
Lynyell Hensley
Love this place, spent my first anniversary here, the food was great, the staff was great as well. Very classy place.
Bobby Calabrese
Excellent food and service in a historic atmosphere. I was led here by Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern, and it is definitely worth the hype! I arrived at lunchtime on Sunday without a reservation and was seated immediately. Oysters Rockefeller, Pompano Pontchartrain, and Baked Alaska were all excellent. Once you visit, you will know why Antoine’s has been here since 1840. It’s a fine dining experience like none other.
Sharalyn Staricka
Great service, but dishes were a little bit hit or miss. The coq au vin was amazing, but skip the lackluster gumbo and oysters Rockefeller. The salad was not very flavorful and the bread pudding was average.
Samantha Strasser
We enjoyed our experience, but the food and the service were just okay. For the price and the hype we read online, we honestly expected a little more. We ordered the wine pairing, and our second wine was forgotten, which somewhat defeats the purpose of the wine pairing. They did provide it to us, but we got it when we got the check. We didn't have an opportunity to notify our server before our main course came out, because our table wasn't visited very often.
The food itself was good, if a little buttery. I think the main course probably stood out the most and was excellent, but the other courses were just alright.
I respect that COVID has hit a lot of restaurants hard, which may explain some of the lapses. Everyone was very friendly, and we appreciated the opportunity to visit, but we would likely not return if we ever visit New Orleans again.
Zan H
Had the 3 course lunch for
$20. Small portions the bread pudding was the best
Thing
Jeffrey Agular
Can’t beat the atmosphere and the tour of the private dining rooms. Also love the $20 lunch specials. Everything here is the best version of whatever dish you’re eating.
Ilene Larson
Had a wonderful dinner experience at Antoine’s . Food was outstanding. We had oysters Rockefeller and grilled, soufflé potatoes, gumbo, classic fish amandine with crab, shrimp creole, and the baked Alaska. Delicious. Our waiter Russel Nicolosi was fabulous and attentive . We enjoyed his company as he showed us around this classic historical restaurant . Definitely will go back .
Nan Ray
Mediocre overpriced food. They only show the gorgeous green room in their advertised pics. They have several other non-fancier rooms they use and seat you in. So don't be surprised if they don't seat you in the fancy room. We sat for 10 minutes without anyone coming to wait on us before we asked the manager for our waiter. Service was good from then on. The seafood gumbo was nothing special. The pompano was average. I would not pay $42 for it again when it was simply grilled fish with rice and 6 string beans... I've had better pompano and food for that price in Greenwood, MS. The only thing I would recommend is the chocolate torte!
Marc Montemayor
Food was great. Not amazing but better than just good. Service was pretty good as well. This place was recommended up and down by many of our friends and the hype was a lot to live up to. I feel like going into our first experience there was a little unfair. Regardless, $500 dinner for 4, I expected a little more. The history and ambiance of the place is almost worth the experience. Also, the wine cellar is breath taking. Over 18k bottles of wine was a lot to take in. Only reason it didn't get the 5 stars was the food didn't wow me, everything else did though. Would recommend for a one time visit to say you went and experienced it but probably wouldn't return for the fact that there's plenty of other places for cheaper and better food.
Kristen Verberne
Great food. Great drinks. White table cloth experience. We had reservations for opening time. There was a bunch of staff, but we did feel neglected at times. We had to ask twice for drinks....each time we ordered. I think it was due to a customer showing up without a covid vaccine card. They were not allowed admittance. A negative test or covid vaccine card is required in New Orleans restaurants. It was very clearly stated all over website and I was warned about 5 times during the reservation process. Still get 5 stars. Food is amazing. Best Gumbo in New Orleans IMO.
Cheryl Edwards
We've frequented Hermes Bar for years, and have tried a variety of bar bites, but finally ate in the restaurant for a special occasion. Definitely go with the server's suggestions. Our server, Paul, has worked there for 34 years, like most, and had been eating there as long. The food we selected on our own was ok, but where we ordered what he recommended, was absolutely delicious. Everything including the service, food, coffee, even down to the water was delightful. Even enjoyed a surprise gift bag from him at the end of dinner with 2 complimentary Antoine's reusable old fashion cups. Will definitely eat here again, likely only for special occasions though, as it is a bit pricey!
Marie O
3- course lunch for $20.19. Very tasty. Enjoyed the meal. Good service. The building and the interior have a lot of history and you can feel it. That’s part of the charm.
Monica Bastola (Elyse)
Not the greatest food. Oysters were good. You go here because of its history.
Mitch Diamant
Had reservations about going here, with the plethora of amazing restaurants in the area, a venerable old tourist trap was not high on our agenda, but the $21 lunch special was just too hard to resist. What a pleasant surprise! Our server Terry was perfect. Dining here was like dining in a museum with great food. We could have spent the day browsing thru the small dining rooms, reading the walls full of New Orleans history and high society. The food was great and the bottomless mimosas were truly bottomless. What a delightful place to dine.
Peter Coutinho
Oysters Rockefeller! Get em! Fantastic food and service! Beautiful restaurant with its history on the walls. Take a walk around!
Jule Slicho
Was there for work Christmas luncheon. Is always an amazing experience. Tha js to Paul and Ray for knocking it out of the park.
Christopher Aw
Fantastic food and excellent service. Terry was great and I look forward to dining there again soon.
Rachel Ann
Exceptional restaurant. The food was incredible and our waiter, Rev, made our dining experience an A+!!
Marilyn Okita
Antoine's 'Winter Lunch Special' for $20 total with 3 Courses to choose from for Appetizer, Main Dish and Dessert plus 25 cent martinis was a delicious find in New Orleans French Quarter!!!!!
Joseph Miskuf
Food was delicious. Service was top notch .would recommend eating there
Michael Freeland
We had the Pecan Crusted Drum and the Charbroiled Oysters. They both we absolutely tremendous. We are even Drago's fans with the charbroiled and these were just as good or even a little better!
Natalie Floth
Food was okay great service and ambiance
lindsay h
The food was okay but for the price we expected better. The oysters were the only thing that was amazing. We left feeling a little disappointed in the food and atmosphere for the price.
Brendon Welosky
Great food, the restaurant may get by on it's heritage as a selling point. The food was good, but I wasn't floored, and I'm pretty sure that my waiter was hammered.
patricia santana
Excellent location, 3 courses meal with a 0.25 cents plus for 3 drinks, friendly staff, nice environment. Awesome experience! I’ll go back for sure!
Mike Turner
Was told by a number of locals to try their lunch special for $20, and how they had cocktails for .25 cents, and how we should ask for tour after our meal. So we made a reservations, all 4 of us were excited. But, unfortunately we left disappointed. The place was busy, possibly understaffed because we sat there for over 25 minutes before anyone took our order. Our waitress barely said anything to us. I don't blame her, she was obviously working hard, and assigned to way too many tables. We all got the lunch special, and food was nothing exciting, and portions were very small. They said they didn't do the .25 cent martini's anymore. So we got the bottomless mimosa's, but they were $15 each, which may have been worth it if our server wasn't so busy. We didn't ask for tour in the end because our server basically disappeared and we were all ready to get out of there anyway. I know it's been a tough year for restaurants, but this one of the few places that is very busy, but it seems management has either stop caring or stopped paying attention. And I fear their reputation and popularity will begin to slip rapidly if they continue what I saw today.
Robert Diamond
Historic, still serving great food and the best baked alaska!
Christina Garrett
Winter lunch special was awesome! It was a great deal. We had a great tour !
Jim Hart
The Oysters Rockefeller were a little gritty. Food, service and atmosphere were all good.
Shiva Mishra
One of the best restaurant in town. Great food and atmosphere.
Olena
Food and atmosphere are awesome! Great choices of oysters. Wide variety of cocktails !
Dominique Cobb
the food was delish! Special thanks to the manager Vinny he made us feel at home!
Fred Herman
For Over 50 years we have been celebrating our important life events at this storied house of cuisine. Actually doesn't have to be a special occasion...we just want a great meal. Fine dining ! End of Sentence.
Peter Schutterlin
A New Orleans institution. The food is good, especially their famous bread and butter pudding. Missing a star as they got our intro drinks and wine order wrong; they were quickly corrected and the service afterwards was great.
Greg Ellis
So good! Bloody Mary's and coffee. Pastries and breads. Phenomenal entrees and amazing desserts including this fun coffee dish that came out on fire. Table side live music. We felt like we were in the past, in the most regal of ways. Thanks for the lovely time,
Alison Lafleur
Best service ever. Charles was amazing. Food was amazing as well. Great ambiance too
Jeffrey Rothschild
We had our wedding dinner here. The food was delicious and the staff were very responsive. We had so much fund in one of the private spaces. We would definitely do it again.
Hayden Eaves
Ray and Jeuti did a great job with the service.
Definitely go for drinks and appetizers.
Walter O'Niell
I had the lunch special which included charbroiled oysters with lots of butter and garlic, pan fried trout with Brabant potatoes, and peach cobbler with ice cream and raspberry coulis for dessert. Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere in that historic building was magical. Our waiter, Paul, was incredible, too.
Sandra Weister
Felt we were taken care of by person helping our waiter instead of him. Staff not very friendly otherwise. Disappointed.
Jasmine Naquin
Roy and Chad were awesome host/waiters. They went above and beyond to make our birthday gathering experience memorable! The food was absolutely amazing! I will definitely be returning!
Maria Lynn Simonetti
I wish I could leave 10 stars! I came to Antoine's back in 2008 with a work trip. My husband and I visited in April of 2021 and had the most amazing experience. Our server was Hazel (from Maine). She was so helpful with our decision, suggested great wine. The food was out of this world. We ordered the Oysters Rockefeller (of course!). Everything was amazing. But you guys ran out of Baked Alaska! We will be back for our one year wedding anniversary in August.
E. C.
I had the Fall Lunch Special and it was absolutely divine! The customer service was magnificent. The food was exceptional and the dessert was delicious! This place will not disappoint. Definitely a favorite in the books!
Dawn S
Sterling was great with 52 years of service and Benny with 19 years made our day. The lunch was wonderful too.
Devin Moore
The food deserves five stars alone. I was disappointed on how little effort people made to dress for Antoine’s. It is a fine dining establishment that has a dress code and I wish people would respect that.
Joseph Bodenmiller
This is of course a NOLA classic. Although our initial reception was stuffy and somewhat unfriendly the wait team that served us were delightful and the meal wonderful! Crabmeat Ravigote was nearly the star but the signature soufle' potatoes gVe it a run for the money. However the Baked Alaska with Chocolate Sauce ended up the winner of the day.
Christy Nottingham
Had lunch at Antoine's today. My husband and I both got the 3 course lunch time special along with endless sparkling wine. Everything was absolutely delicious! Austin our waiter was outstanding! Very attentive. Our glasses were never empty. Can't wait to return on our next trip to New Orleans.
David Leuterio
Great food! The baked Alaska was excellent! Oysters Rockefeller are a must too!
Sara M
This is an absolute must for NOLA. Antoine’s is a historical gem and rightly so
Oleg Fedoroff
Wonderful menu. Dishes not overly complicated. Large, courteous waitstaff. Walls covered in NOLA artifacts. If you go at a time the restaurant isn't busy, ask your senior waiter for a tour.
We came for an evening of intensive conversation and our senior waiter honored our intent, but our junior waiters did not. They wanted to be the center of attention whenever they were attending our table, rather than letting us maximize our talk time.
We split a baked Alaska 3 ways and still couldn't finish it. Delicious! !
Alyssa Carter
Antoine's, opened in 1840, is the oldest family run restaurant in the United States. Make reservations because it fills up. The service was upscale impeccable. We owned the table and loved our waiter. All of the food was amazing. Of course, we had the Oysters Rockefeller, which were created at this restaurant. If you order them, you get a commemorative card with your order number. You're really treated to late 1800's fine dinning in New Orleans while at Antoine's.
Joel Koerner
We traveled to New Orleans two weeks ago for our 10th anniversary. We made Sunday brunch reservations at Antoine's and were a little nervous because we generally do not frequent really high-end places. From the moment we entered, we were put at ease by the professionalism and cordiality of the restaurant staff. All servers, hosts and other staff wore masks so we recognized that they are still taking COVID seriously. Austin was our server and did a superb job explaining the menu and giving us a history of the restaurant. We ordered Oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer and Austin explained that they were first created at Antoine's. They were quite tasty as was the rest of our meal including a seafood omelet, seafood gumbo and eggs benedict. The bottomless mimosas were also well worth the price and our designated drink server, Becky, made sure that our mimosa glasses never ran dry. When we were done dining, we enjoyed walking around the multiple other dining rooms to see the historical photos and other memorabilia. All-in-all our Sunday brunch at Antoine's was a wonderful experience with exceptional service and greatly our expectations. We will certainly be returning to dine there again upon our next trip to New Orleans.
Juan Caraveo
The food the service and the dessert were absolute excellence. Our server Terry W took care of us as if we were an old friend. Highly recommend the place.
Joanie Cox
We had a fabulous lunch. There were 17 people in our party. We all ordered from the menu and the staff handled this large party as if there were just 2 of us. The food was delicious and the staff very competent and helpful.
Yasmine McGruder
Went for a corporate event. Had the short rib. Small servings but very good
Justin Helms
Good food, had to stop here to get the Oysters Rockerfeller. They were fresh, tasty and the other appetizers were good according to my other guests. Bucket list stop for sure.
We were worried about dress code, however for lunch at least they seemed to be more relaxed. Dickies and T-Shirt appeared to be just fine as they seated us.
MATTHEW STEWART
Ask for waiter Paul. Service and food was great! History of this place is amazing!
Lynn Carangelo
I loved having dinner here. The food was fantastic and the ambiance was exactly what I was hoping for. My only complaint, our server was mediocre. The water/bus boy was very attentive and so much better than our actual server. First time in NOLA and I wanted to experience Antoine's, I'm very glad we did and I recommend it.
Jacqueline Glusac
We ate Sunday brunch at Antoine's and had wonderful service. The selection was varied and recommended by our terrific waiter. We enjoyed our nonstop mimosas. It was just nice to finally get to eat at such a well-established icon of a restaurant.
Alison Thonn
Antoine's is a staple restaurant! We absolutely love dining here anytime we are visiting New Orleans! The staff always gives friendly and knowledgeable service, something every restaurant strives for! The food is always impeccable! Thank you for always making our heart, soul, and tummy happy Antoine's! As a New Orleans native with my entire family in the restaurant business, my expectations are always high. But rest assured Antoine's will always exceed them! I was very proud to see how well they were handling this crazy pandemic. Infinite stars, always!
To the Antoine's family: Thank you for always being so amazing! I know times are tough right now, we are all feeling it. You are doing a fantastic job, as always!
Much love, a server from Texas who just misses home.
Mahmoud Madi
Amazing location. Extremely classy with an incredible menu with wide variety of choices. Loved the atmosphere. The food was great and I did try their steak which was fabulous. I took my wife there to celebrate her birthday and she absolutely loved the place and their seafood options saying their grilled gulf fish was the best fish she ever had!
Tara L
Was here for a wedding. The buffet style was amazing. Most wedding buffets are cold or lacking taste. This had many flavors and was warm. I also enjoyed tasting multiple dishes the bride had chosen. Nothing disappointed. The room itself was clean and had a great balcony to hang out on. I would recommend this location for a reception from a guest point of view. Great location as well.
Will
Awesome ambiance, service and food. Can't go wrong. Lunch special was the perfect portion and good!!!
Lea Holcomb
My boyfriend and I had lunch here, today was the first day of the new menu and it was delicious. We both had the 3 course meal, with the veal as the entree. The chef did an excellent job and our waiter Mark G and his busser did an absolutely fantastic job! They even gave us a tour of the building. It was a great overall experience and I highly recommend it to others.
DJ L
Living on the west coast, it took a while for my husband to complete this bucket list restaurant. Antoine's Restaurant did not disappoint in any detail of our dining experience! So much history around us, special thanks to the staff for letting us "geek out" on it all and for sharing stories with us! It was hard to choose on the menu which plates to indulge. My husband started with the Oysters Rockefeller that was amazing. Entrees were the 4 Course Dinner Special and the Filet with Marchand De Vin. Both were absolutely delicious!
In a dining world full of new fusion dishes and staff that stands around checking their phones every 3 minutes, this restaurant is a gem. . The lost art of tasteful service down to the smallest detail can be found here! We look forward to dining again next time we visit New Orleans.
Brice Schagane
Excellent! We ate here for lunch on Saturday and were fortunate enough to get the $20.18 Summer Lunch Special. What a bargain! The food was excellent! I started off with the Charbroiled Oysters and then the Scallop Etouffee. Both were were excellent. We also had the Oysters Rockefeller and they were awesome! I had the Chocolate Mouse for desert and it was good as well. They had a drink of the day special for 25 cents each (limit 3), and of course, we each had all three. Lots of interesting history with this place. I would highly recommend it!
Susan Stacker
If you're looking for the best experiences in NOLA go here and ask for Austin. He has been there 43 years and part of the legacy. The food is fantastic and don't worry about what you choose, you'll love it!
RJ Davis
Excellent service. The food was good though perhaps not as good as what I had built up in my mind. The oysters Rockefeller fell short perhaps because I was expecting an out of body experience. I got the lunch special of tomato basil soup and seafood and grits. Both were good. The atmosphere was steeped in history. Overall it was well worth it.
Marty terrebonne
Good location, the waitress we had was excellent. We did have to bring back two or more drinks because they were made incorrectly. And we were not able to get a couple of the items on the menu. However the food we did eat was very good.
We were pleased that the "smell" of Bourbon Street did not reach this restaurant. We also enjoyed the waitresses story as she detailed to was the history of the restaurant.
Craig laland
I had the pleasure of visiting Antoine’s for the second time recently with a small group of colleagues. It was a wonderful experience!! I was able to request service by Austin who’s worked there for more than 40 years and gives the history of the restaurant and his service to the company in a creative way. the ambience is something you’ll find nowhere else and is unique the food was excellent. Thank you Austin
Antoine staff
N. Green
Wonderful evening! Great food and attentive service. The food isn’t too be ignored here. The baked Alaska is unforgettable. Beautiful dining rooms.
Kim Hall
My husband and I went after reading about the great lunch special. We're not "fine-dining" folks but we decided to take a break from our flip flops and dress up a bit to experience this historic setting. It was wonderful! From the moment we checked in for a reservation every one was friendly and welcoming and the service was top notch. The .25 cocktails were offered and recommended right away and hot bread came out to our table. Nobody made us feel like we were there for a cheap lunch, I feel as tho we had the complete experience. From the bread to the dessert, it was just great and everything we tried was really good. Love the fall menu but especially the bisque. My husband mentioned it was our anniversary and complimentary champaign was brought out to us, the nicest gesture we've had in a long time! Thank you for the true NOLA experience we were hoping to find on our first trip to LA.
Yash
Service was excellent! Try the baked Alaska - it’s fun!
David Burgoa
The food is just incredible. Staff is friendly and they definitely know how to treat their customers while providing a great service
mardi claw
always a stellar time up in here.
Mister Austin was our waiter du jour. We had the winter revillion, the artichoke soup.... creamy delicious and unlike anything you've ever tasted. The salad looked like a christmas wreath with yummy goodness, pecans cranberries and beyond. soft shell crab with rice and wow that was super lovely. French Dip with fries, pompano with crab on top, and of course char grilled oysters. endless mimosa's and good company on their last day of vacation. finished with antoines bread pudding. delicious.
we got a tour afterwards with Mister Austin, which made this even more special. then we just enjoyed the history on the walls, photos and collections of mardigras memorabilia.
this is a must.
Joanne Ratkowski Ross
Impeccable service. Food was good but not upscale. Grant it I just had a chicken and bacon salad but it was on the dry side. Terrific wine list and ambiance.
Michel Personnaz
From the minute we walked in to the moment we walked out, we felt welcome to an institution with a lot of French héritage.
The food was excellent and very traditional the service was very good, especially Terry was the super welcoming and show us around the property… the wine cellar and the different kings room
Great place to go!!
Robert Sipe
The wait staff was great, very good service, enjoyed the tour of the dinning rooms after dinner. Food not so good and very expensive. The fish dinners were bland and unexciting. My friend ordered the filet with soft shell crab. he ordered it medium rare and it came out well done and very tough, he sent it back and the new steak came out practically raw, either the chef doesn't know how to cook or doesn't care about the quality of the product there putting out.
Was really excited to eat here but the poor quality of the food really made it a disappointing experience. Would not recommend this place and would not go back, too many other really good restaurants to choose from.
Eliza Petznick
The service at Antoine’s is outstanding, especially if you ask for Sterling Armour as your waiter. Order the Baked Alaska at the beginning of the meal for an impressive presentation and decadent dessert. This trip we went for jazz brunch, where the band was entertaining. My husband’s eggs Florentine were delicious and our son’s veal with mushrooms was very good. The only disappointment were the omelettes. I ordered the crab omelette, and there was no crab, but I did not send it back because we had already waited 30 minutes for food to arrive. Our daughter’s Cheese omelette had little if any cheese. I had ordered the crab omelette several years ago, and it was loaded with crab. So that was disappointing. Stick with the eggs Sardou or the eggs Florentine.
Barry Edwards
As well as an excellent dinner experience, it is great for business lunch too.
Sherry Smith
This was recommended to us by many. We read the history. Our party of four decided to try Oysters Rockefeller keeping in mind I'm not an oyster lover. I didn't mind the oyster but not a fan of the topping. Two other diners loved them. Our waiter Byiuan was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The restaurant was clean and we loved the feel of the place. Two of us had fish. The other two had beef. All was delicious. We couldn't finish our wedge salads. We loved the French bread. We split two desserts - chocolate torte and cherry cheese cake. Both are excellent. We kidded Byiuan about not taking us to the wine cellar. We weren't in need of anything. The history, the food and the service makes this a must in New Orleans. Loved it.
Rachel Wolf
I had the meal of my life at And Twins'. Loved the sexy blonde twins bringing me my bucket of Coors Light. I normally love football on TV, shots with Gina Lee, hanging with my friends...and occasionally And Twins' restaurant.
Kim Taylor
Visiting New Orleans a second time with my daughter was fabulous, thanks to your restaurant! No one made us feel more welcome than Antoine’s. We received first class service with wonderful atmosphere and the food was amazing! We ordered the oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer and I was delighted at how delicious they were! For the main entree, I had the pompano pontchartraine which was fabulous! And if that wasn’t enough, for dessert we had the flourless chocolate torte! Such a delight to the tastebuds! Definitely a must-eat at restaurant when we visit again! Thanks so much Antoine’s!!
Patrick Kiernan
Fantastic experience. More than food or service it was a total fabulous experience.
Elizabeth R
We visited Antoine’s for the first time this month. It is an absolute gem! The staff is simply amazing! You can make a reservation for the lunch special and you don’t pay more than the current year. For us, it was $20.19 per person. Not to mention $.25 cocktails! The honey fried chicken was SO good! You have to try this place at least once! My first experience was an unforgettable one. I will now make it a priority to stop in every time I come to New Orleans!
William Zain
Excellent food and service. A great wine selection.
