First Time Experience, I really liked the Rum Punch. I had the lamb chops while my girlfriend had the Brown stewed Chicken. She would rate hers a 3/5 and expected a more well seasoned dish. I loved the plantains and lamb chops. The mac n cheese side was subbed with no problem, so there was no issue. It reminded me of kraft and was not seasoned. The mashed potatoes were authentic, but could use more seasoning as well. The jerk wings were great, I expected slightly more value here, but oh well. Overall Rating would be 3.5 Stars

This. Place. Was. Amazing!!! It's some of the best Jamaican food I've had in a while. The atmosphere was chill, the food was great, and the people were so friendly. We went for brunch and it didn't disappoint. The oxtail stew was so flavorful and they gave a good amount. The fried green tomatoes melted in the mouth and the scallops were seasoned to perfection. And the drinks were on point. This is a place you should definitely visit when in New Orleans. I know I'm going to be back.

Very very good food. The curry shrimp were delicate and tender but full of flavor and spice. The rice and peas were tender and tasty, the plantains were melt in your mouth soft and fluffy. The jerk chicken quesadilla was well seasoned, bright, delicious, and filling. The fried cauliflower could've used some salt, pepper, and a little bit of heat before being dredged and fried but it was still good and the chili sauce was good. The jerk wings were phenomenal and juicy. The coconut mojito was perhaps the best I've had. The rum punch was really strong, so if you're a rum lover, definitely go for that. My only hesitancy was with the atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a little stiff feeling, maybe everybody was still dragging from the weekend, perhaps. The food quality was top notch, though.

I loved this place! Their juice is absolutely delicious! The food came out quickly and it was fresh!! I had curry chicken, rice & peas, cabbage and Mac & cheese and it was all fantastic! The curry chicken is the best I’ve ever had and perfectly cooked. The rice & peas was exactly how I like, there’s actual peas in it (so many places want to put beans in it these days). The cabbage was cooked just right and had great flavor. The Mac & cheese was so good. I was in New Orleans for a few days on vacation and I think I miss this place most out of everything there. I can’t recommend this place enough! Don’t pass this place up it’s the best!! 🖤💛💚

We were welcomed at 14 Parishes for a private luncheon filled with yummy and nourishing food….even the drinks were amazing! The staff were attentive and so friendly. Above all the ambiance and decor were a whole vibe. I highly recommend spending time to enjoy this amazing restaurant!

So yummy! Went as a family of 4 and enjoyed everything. All of the meats were great, coconut shrimp was my favorite! Service was attentive and atmosphere was relaxing.

One of the best restaurant in New Orleans. The food is fantastic and they surely know how to make great cocktails! We first went a week ago as a party of more than 10 people and we liked it so much we came back yesterday. Since there is a long table, it is perfect for a consequent group of people. The staff is very accommodating and understanding. 14 Parishes is a New Orleans must!

Salmon slidders were great, definitelythe highlight. The oxtail was ok, the plantains were dry and lacked sweetness, the cheesecake sounded great on paper but was very disappointing.

We brought about 28 middle school children and their mothers here from Maryland. We loved the food and beverage options. The mothers especially loved the rum punch!! Excellent service.

It was my birthday weekend and I wanted to find a new place. I read about the restaurant and it seemed good. It was far beyond my expectations, the food, my drink, the atmosphere and my personal birthday song and cheer. Rachel , our server, my new friend:), was awesome. She sang Happy Birthday to me!! Wasn’t sure about the jerk seasoning so I ordered the jerk wings to start off. The fact they asked grilled or fried should of been the red flag that stopped me from going further. So the jerk wings cost $9. Normally that comes with 6-8 wings. They only came with four, two legs and two wings and one wing was so small it just being there was ridiculous. And it came with to a side of Sweet BBQ sauce(no jerk sauce). And when I received the food I wasn’t given any utensils or napkins( I guess that was the eat it like you are on the beach in Jamaica, part of this authentic Jamaican food experience). If you want to have an idea of what Jamaican food taste like this is the place to be, they serve Carib.

A must try!!! We got the beef short rib (o.m.g.), curry chicken, plantains, mixed veggies (which are grilled and have amazing flavor), and patty with curry chicken. The patty is like a savory hand pie with a crumbly buttery crust. I need another one. All of the items above are frickin amazing and packed with flavor. The portions are big so we had awesome leftovers next day. Gonna try other things next time. 14 Parishes is going to be a staple for us since we live so close.

Took my cousin there for his last meal in town. We were very happy with our service and food. We split the platter and ordered a couple sides. We assumed we were going to bring some leftovers home because it said feeds 2-4. The platter was ment for 2-3 people to share with three ribs and the sides were split in threes as well. That being said. The food was so good we finished it all. Will definitely be back

Very clean environment. Very friendly attentive staff. Everything was cook really well and served beautifully. I particularly enjoyed the chickpea chana entree. Overall though, the meal was rather "pricey", and I would not be able to return as often as I would like.

The food....OMG, the food. We had some of everything and it was all fantastic. The service was outstanding. The Rasta pasta was so good. It felt like I was eating in someone's home. Fresh vegetables and the seasoning was perfection. The ribs were so tender and flavorful. Then the mango cheesecake. I hate cheesecake....I ate the whole thing. This is my new favorite place.

I came in the opening weeks. I sat down for lunch, ordered jerk chicken, mac n cheese and washed it down with a sugary ginger beer in under 20 minutes. The tasty charred chicken was falling off the bone with plenty of salt and spice followed with a splash of house jerk sauce and beignet bread as a side(That's Nola Jamaican). The Mac n cheese was good but not trying to be gourmet either. I might make this my regular lunch joint. We'll done. Best $20 lunch on 0ak Street.
