Great beef pho! Absolutely loved it. Gave four stars because this establishment only accepts cash. Had to walk to Walgreens to an ATM. So bring cash with you if you visit. You will love the food.

This place is the best. Great people, great service, fantastic food. Everything is good here. Love the different curry dishes, but I also frequently get Pho from here. The inside is small but welcoming with great people all around. Can’t go wrong with Takeout or Dine in. On the weekends they also have some special dessert item made in their kitchen. As everyone mentioned they are cash only.

A little, family run vietnamese place. They only take cash, so keep that in mind if you're planning a trip here. Everything I've had here has been delicious. The family that runs the place is also very friendly and have provided stellar service during all of my experiences there. Support this place because they seem to be genuinely good people that have some pretty delicious food. I recommend the beef and carrots stew. Each spoonful just makes you want more. It has big, super tender chunks of beef, and comes with french bread. One of the few places around Nashville that my wife and I revisit.

I love coming here! It’s quaint but the food is SO good to the point where you don’t even care. Staff is very nice and it’s clean. Only complaint I have is they never have soft shell crab when I come. One day. Till then there’s more than enough choices to leave you satisfied!

Food was amazing, and the service is good. # 31 is my all-time favorite. If you are also a tomato lover, this is absolutely a must-have. The only inconvenience is that they only take cash. But the food is so good and I believe it is worth the trouble.

Love this little quaint spot. I ordered a small pho special and egg roll. The egg rolls were fresh, hot and delicious. The pho was delicious too and so flavorful, beef was super tender. The special comes with tendon and tripe which is hard to find and is my favorite. Very nice owners and staff. There isn’t a lot of seating when it gets busy so be mindful if you’re dining as a couple not to take up big tables. They prefer cash so plan ahead.

Love this Vietnamese family owned restaurant. Maybe one of the best in Nashville. They are very decently priced and food is of great quality and yummy. Must Try's: - Fresh Coconut Water - Their Shrimp Tempura is the best - Veggie Tempura - Chicken Broth and veggies is great - Meatball spicy soup - Fried rice with fried egg on top ** Desert ask for their Coconut milk bun, its just amazing. This is my mom's favorite place, and she brought me here for lunch recently while I was visiting. Ever sat down in someone's kitchen and been served their signature family dish? That's how it feels to eat at Vinh-Long. I had the seafood pho. We shared an order of steamed dumplings and an order of spring rolls. Every bit of it was fresh and delicious.

Lady's and gents this place is where you want to eat Pho, not only is the Pho in this place one of the best I have ever had outside of Vietnam, the chicken was fresh and flavorful and the broth was on point I literally spoon feed myself every drop of this Pho and the pork gyozas were awesome food wise this is the place and it gets better the gents who run this place couldn't been nicer and more courteous to all the customers and trust me the place was packed buy loved the whole mom and pops charm will most definitely be back if passing through again and recommend you give this place a try you won't be disappointed.

My mom had the pho and I had the beef stew. I thought it was just ok. The broth was too thick and sour for my taste. My moms pho broth was also not as good as some other places. The dessert tho was bomb!!! The white mush w taro and coconut milk at front was so so good I couldn’t stop eating it. I wouldn’t necessarily come back just for the pho/stew but maybe the dessert

saw this place while exploring my new neighborhood. It caught my eye because there was a table filled with men outside. They were smoking and drinking iced coffee from clear tall glasses and the coffee looked really good. had to go in and decided to get a to-go order... got chicken tempura and a coffee with condensed milk to go. It was all fantastic but I just loved seeing people gathering outside their local eatery enjoying the morning. I cannot wait to go back and try the Pho with my husband.

Wow! This is the closest to pho back in California I’ve found so far in Nashville. The service was extremely fast and the food was amazing! I ordered a large bowl of Pho Tai and I can eat a lot, but I couldn’t finish the bowl which meant left overs for a second meal at home. The seaweed salad was not that good and I wouldn’t recommend it but the pho was amazing!

Let's start this off right: STEW!!! If you are anywhere near Nashville you owe it to yourself to have lunch at Vinh-Long. It's the very definition of hole-in-the-wall and it is amazing. Plan on arriving early if you want a table quickly and make sure you have cash, as they don't accept anything else. Once you've sat down at one of the eight or nine tables in the place don't bother with the menu, just order STEW, not Pho or anything else, just Stew. You can get small, medium or large, I would recommend medium unless you are super hungry. I've never had anything else like it and if you go and don't try it then you've failed at lunch. It's that simple. STEW!!!

this honestly might the best pho in nashville. a hole in the wall but family run, owner is very kind. the chicken pho is my go to. large size is available but medium will do just fine. generous on meat portions. overall my go-to on my days off from work! it is cash only: so be aware of that but they have it posted everywhere.

This is the best pho I've ever had. It's the first place I've tried pho from 8 years ago and ever since I compare every place to it. Nothing comes close so instead of being disappointed I wait til I'm on this side of town to get Vinh long ❤️

Heard lots of good things about this place and finally got to come. Came here three times in a week because everything was great, foods was definitely delicious & authentic and very homemade type of Asian foods, have tried different foods and love all of them. They were busy everytime I came but their service was always on point and very accommodating and friendly. Enjoyed my visit every single time! Have tried both the regular pho, seafood pho, shrimp fried rice and egg rolls among other things and was not let down by anything, they are extremely consistent on quality, taste and service! The place is kinda small but spots tend to clear up pretty fast and staff is really on top of cleaning tables quickly. The only accept cash so just keep that in mind!

To me, this is the best pho in Nashville. The pho special (or pho dac biet) is my favorite. It has thin slices of beef, simple meatballs, and tender beef tendon. All in a savory broth. My wife had the rice with grilled pork chops. The pork was tender and we'll seasoned. My mom had the beef stew (Bo kho) and it great with fresh bread.

Update: still fantastic Vietnamese food and fantastic service. Bring cash if you want to eat. Absolutely the best around Nashville. Best Vietnamese food in Nashville, hands down. Sure the neighborhood is not Brentwood but the authentic and delicious food is outstanding. Had the spring rolls and pho and both were fantastic and what I would expect from an authentic vietnamese restaurant. Loved it and would go back. Cash only so bring some money with you.

I came here at the recommendation of a friend. Food is decent. The menus online are very outdated so I recommend ordering at the restaurant. Also, the place is cash only with no atm around. I got the porkchop plate($17), gyoza ($6), Vietnamese coffee ($5). Pork chop plate was delicious. The shrimp gyoza was meh. The coffee was good, but the cup was way to small for $5 and Siam Cafe has a bigger size for $3 of Thai coffee which is not much different.

Super delicious! It was my first time having Vietnamese food and it was so amazing! The spring rolls were delicious. I really enjoyed the seafood pho and beef egg rolls. I'm not sure the name of the dessert but it's coconut milk, green strips that resemble jello but have a firmer consistency like gummy bears and kidney beans or great northern beans all in a cup. Amazing!!!! I was nervous to try it but so so glad I did. I've been back since my 1st visit!

It's amazing. I've been there three times. Tiny little place but they make the most of it. I've only ever had one main dish of theirs, but it's AMAZING. The beef Pho there is the best I've ever had. The main server (who I believe is the owner... Not sure, but he handles a lot of the business and it seems to be a family run thing.) Is one of the friendliest people I've ever met and is a great conversationalist. Now, the only downside I've seen is that they only take cash, no credit cards or debit cards. Still, it's worth the trip to the ATM.

We are over 2 hours from home while my husband is doing a training for work. We ended up finding this little Vietnamese restaurant. Our favorite restaurant at home is the Vietnamese Bistro in Dayton so we were glad to try this one. We were not disappointed. The food is great. We actually liked their fried rice even better. Lots of Vietnamese people were eating there so that says a lot. It is a hole in the wall for size and atmosphere, but the food and service make up for it.

I’ve recently been to Vietnam and I have ate some food from there and I can say that you’ll get the full experience of Vietnamese food here. Their Pho is pretty great and doesn’t have any complaints, usually at other places it’d be too greasy or would have a funny taste. Although here their Pho doesn’t have any negative remarks. The service here was superb and I wasn’t left unattended. The waiter would check up on the tables time to time to see if anyone wanted anything else. In overall this is the place where you want to go to eat if you want Authentic Vietnamese Food.

The chai-tea and beef stew are excellent. Lemon-grass chicken is good too....thats all I have tried so far. Egg rolls and Gyoza are excellent as well. Service is good. They are CASH-ONLY so make sure you stop by the bank if you aren't used to carrying cash. Totally worth it!

Great beef stew. Loved the spring rolls and the ambience. This is classic Vietnamese restaurant were local Vietnamese come to eat. Service is fast and the price is quite low. There are other options that would serve good like the noodles. The bowl is pretty big, medium serves a large man.

Having lived in multiple states...to find your go-to Vietnamese spot in the city you call home is bliss, this...is my Nashville Spot and has been for the past couple of years since transplanting from San Diego. The food is great and caters anywhere from those with a general take on Asian food to specific Vietnamese dishes (Yes, they have Phở - pronounced Fuh.) and several other true Vietnamese staples. Family owned and operated, non-assuming and the prices are on par with every other spot I've been a regular at. Some Business Owners still have Cash Only businesses, this being one of them..if that's something you just can't...your loss. Bring an appetite and try something new every time you visit, you can't go wrong!

We live in Mt Juliet. Tn. . Recently almost every Sunday after church James and I go there to eat lunch. My husband is Caucasian. He use to not like to try new things. This is his all time # 1 Asian and espescially vietnamese restaurant. He also like to watch the traveling shows of people eating and experiencing asian food when are there. I like to bring the young gentleman's mom roses and flowers every Sunday . When we are there. She is the main cook. She is very sweet and kind. She make the best pork fried round buns and sweet sesame fried buns. You should try it . It's a vietnamese delicatesy to me. It's delicious. Not only does this restaurant has wonderful food but the family that owns it are wonderful delightful people. .Thankyou to the wonderful main cook and nice sweet family

At first I wasn't so sure about the area that it was in but I'm definitely glad I went in. The food was amazing. I asked the waitress for recommendation. Everything tasted very fresh and flavorful. Portion size a was way more than I can eat. I had the medium sized bowl. Remember to bring cash because they are cash only. I paid $14 for my meal. very reasonably priced especially considering I also had an appetizer.

As advertised, best Vietnamese Beef Stew in Nashville and I think I have tried them all. Eat one there and take one home. Normally I don't dig cross cultural mash-ups but the Japanese additions to the menu work well here. The family proprietors are very welcoming. As a fan of Vietnamese food, VINH LONG is definitely worth the cross town drive for me. Do yourself a favor and check this place out !

I came here for lunch with a friend of mine and was pleasantly surprised. It is worth noting that this location is cash-only, however, the quality of the food was astounding and the Jasmine tea is authentically loose-leaf and very good. I'm giving 4/5 stars due to the restaurant/menu presentation itself being a bit lacking visually and the lack of a card machine but these have no impact on the food quality. If none of the above issues are a problem for you, I do recommend stopping in and trying Vinh-Long for yourself!

Best Vietnamese food I have found in Nashville. I moved here from Atlanta and we have hundreds of options for very good Vietnamese and this is the closest I've found since moving. Make sure you go early if you are going for lunch, it is a small place and it fills up fast also it is cash only. If you want good pho go here.

This place is hands down my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Nashville. It is super authentic, the workers there are really friendly and the cost of their food is super affordable. We forgot that it was cash only and our server was nice enough to let us order then go next door to get cash back at the Walgreens. The pho there is super flavorful and delicious. Our server brought us out two different sauces that is made with homegrown spicy peppers straight from their home garden. If you want tasty and authentic Vietnamese food, this place is where you want to go.

This place might not look as decorated as some of the bigger brands named restaurants but the food here is astonishingly good. Of the three ocassions I have been here, I chose the spicy beef soup, it contains massive chunks of beef and plenty of spice. The portions are generous and the taste exceptional. The grilled squid tenticles are also very good.

On the road trip and first time here. Small place and Cash only. Order appetizer spring roll and grilled squid. The grilled squid is very soft and tasty. Then we order medium Pho special and large chicken pho. Both are good and tasty. I am little surprise by the chicken broth because the soup is not greasy at all and thin sliced boiled chicken is not dry and easy to eat, not like other places. Will visit again if we are in this area.

One Major down fall is they DO NOT accept cards CASH ONLY! Recommend by a friend to try the Pho here and it’s a Great little place for some really good Pho! 🍲 I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to try some for the first time. I had the Chicken Pho and I was not disappointed at all it’s a great serving at a very inexpensive price as well. And I got the lemonade as my drink which was Phenomenal it’s home made with lime instead for lemon and not too sweet or sour a perfect cup! Will definitely be going again!

I am of a Vietnamese descent. Dad was 3rd generation hotel/restaurant owner in Saigon. The Pho here is one of the best in town. But unfortunately not quite to what a flavorful Pho is in Minneapolis, Paris or NY, let alone my family's. I've also tried some of their other Vietnamese dishes. Some shortcuts have been made in their dishes; arguably possibly because of the lack of finer local pallet. It is Vietnamese family owned and obviously, once you get there, frequented by the local Vietnamese folks. It is a nice little glimpse to what Vietnam is. They are also missing a lot of business closing at 7pm. CASH ONLY!

Admittedly, I'm kind of a pho novice. I've had it a few times and wasn't super impressed. For some reason I was craving it, and drove out of my way to Vinh-Long to get some. The guy running the register was very friendly and well spoken, and after answering a few questions for me, recommended the regular pho. I got the large, took it home, and boy was it fantastic. Highly recommend this place! **this is a cash-only establishment**

I recommend this Vinh Long to everyone because their food is fantastic. Great portion. The pho is the best-- great aroma and the tasty broth, without adding hoisin and the extra sauces.. Then I add a tiny bit of hoisin or sriracha depending on how I feel. Anyways!! The rice platters are always good. All soups are great. Calamari. I always grab a cup of dessert to go. Small place, you might have to wait for bigger parties but I never have that problem. You can't go wrong with the place. Been going for YEARS! The servers is fast and they are very nice. Bring cash 😁

I was in the neighborhood and saw this gem in a strip mall. Service was fast. Food was very simple but delicious. I had a medium bowl of pho, and it was huge. It was served with traditional condiments, plus little extras such as fish sauce and two types of chili sause on the tables. I don't live in this area but I wouldnt mind taking the drive to visit again.

Very nice but small location. Big fan of their soups, but as a Cash Only location it can be tedious to have to get money before coming to eat. A word of caution: If you want to entertain your toddler, do not seat them right next to the fish tank. They leave the tank maintenance materials right under it and our child almost put an aquarium heater in her food.

I spoke with the owner's son who I believe told me that they are open since 2002? When a restaurant, especially an Asian place, ask for cash only, it means they are confident of their food, to me it is. Why? Figure it out. Found this place on Google map search while driving from ATL, and I am glad I stopped by this place. Out of over 100 different Phò places I've visited, this place is in top5. Two pescatarians here — meaning we eat fish but not meat. We venture out to this hole in the wall to try their Vietnamese fare. We ordered the seafood pho, spring rolls with tofu and lemon grass tofu. Our favorite items were the salad that comes with the meal. The homemade ginger dressing is to die for. The spring rolls were excellent. We would definitely order again and add shrimp. As for the pho, it was mediocre. I wish they would have chopped the vegetables into more bite sized pieces. The lemongrass tofu was good but I would try something different next time. Our bill was only $35. Great value. Also, 10/10 on service.
