The Dutch was a pleasant brunch experience. Rachel was our server. Although they have a breakfast bar, we ordered from the menu. Nestled in the Gulch, it sits on the corner with parking lot across the street. It is connected the the new “W” hotel. The Dutch heralds from NewYork with a rebound Chef, the menus is delightful. The Dutch has a signature chicken, not NashHot chicken but good nonetheless.
We ordered the avocado toast, everyone has their version of this- the Dutch has a little twist- spoiler alert- it is a combination of sweet and savory. We also got the double burger- absolutely delicious. And the Shrimp cocktail (shrimp was an oxymoron- they were huge)
All in all great place for Sunday Brunch, we will have to try their dinner menu. We will be going back

Food was excellent, cocktails were fun and delicious. Not many gluten free options at this time but the server and kitchen were accommodating to my needs. The seats seemed to be crammed in beside each other to make dining with your neighbor a necessity. This also made it very loud, which I couldn't even hear the server. So, food and service a plus but atmosphere is a boo.

A friend and I tried out The Dutch yesterday afternoon and loved it!
They have a brunch menu Friday Saturday and Sunday which has lots of delicious options. We couldn’t decide so tasted some oysters and split three different dishes. The avocado toast, the crabcakes and the beet salad. All were beautiful and delicious, my favorite was the beet salad - though I am partial to beets.
The margarita was yummy as was the Bellini. It’s a modern, elegant place, even the bathrooms are fabulous. Cass, our server, was funny, helpful and the perfect amount of attentive.
There is a great public parking lot right across the street and the first hour is free.
Looking forward to returning for an evening meal!

Food was very good. I had chicken and biscuits. My wife had the Strawberry Shortcake French Toasts. She enjoyed her food as well. The Men’s restroom was immaculate. Super clean and looked very nice and smelled good. I was super impressed. We sat at the bar and the bartender was cool but didn’t say his name ( Hey guys welcome to the “Dutch” my name is… He took awhile to say hey guys how’s the food you two need anything? after we got the food. He wasn’t rude however he would of gotten a better tip if he service was a little better. The food is good but definitely overpriced like the mimosas for $13 for one and the glass they put it in is very small. When you come to South Florida go to Big Bear Brewing Company on a Sunday for brunch and ask for a mimosa or at First Watch Restaurant you will see the difference. They give you the little Champagne bottle and Orange juice and you pour it yourself. Cheaper and you get more. Great food but service was no so great and it’s overpriced.

We had a very nice meal here. Food was interesting and creative. We enjoyed it. Not pretentious at all. Would recommend and go again. Fried chicken was my favorite dish. Would recommend that!!! Service could be better might have been understaffed

I came to The Dutch because I heard the smoked beet salad was incredible! Upon arrival, I was presented with a “social hour” menus, and decided to shift gears to get a broader taste of their offerings. Boy was I impressed—From the cutest “lil’ oyster” sando, to the most succulent sticky pork ribs, to the jumbo shrimp cocktail; and let us not forget the oysters! Service was prompt, friendly and with a smile!

The Dutch just opened in The Gulch area. One of my friends is a chef there so I had to go check it out!
The restaurant is beautifully cozy and well decorated. The hostess was kind and funny. I reserved ahead of time, but was accommodated even after showing up 15 minutes early!
The entire brunch menu sounds delicious. This time I had the avocado toast with a side of chicken sausage. It was amazing! So the Bellini was very well made. I definitely need to come back and try some more of these delicious sounding dishes. He says the fried chicken and biscuits are something to try!

Upon arrival we were greeted with smiling faces. I had mentioned to them we had a reservation for outside and since it was about to storm the hostess offered us a table closer to the window so we wouldn't get wet if it poured.
She offered up to the bar while our table was getting cleaned and we ordered the Crooked Smile. It was pretty tasty. I definitely ordered another layer in the evening. The bartender was very chill and attentive to us. We were at the bar no longer than 10 mins when our hostess came to get us so we can sit.
Our server was terrific. Very prompt, caring, friendly and just over all awesome.
Now to the real review, the food. I'd give this place really a 5 star bc the service was exceptional, the place was clean, the vibe was superb but the food wasn't as I'd hope. This rating is for the food not the totality of the establishment.
For starters we order the broccolini. It was okay. We didn't finish it unfortunately.
The main course my guest and I chose was the fried chicken. It sounds terrific but in actuality, it was not. I've had better. The breading was way too much. It was hard as a rock. Thankfully the meat was still juicy and not dried out but the double batter was a bad move. I had to take off all the batter just to get to the meat. The batter and skin was extremely crispy yet lacked a great seasoning to pair with.
The biscuits were just alright too. They douse it in honey butter which tasted off. I can't tell if it was weird butter or weird honey. But it did keep the biscuit moist.
I did however enjoy the fries. They were probably my favorite of the night.
For dessert we enjoyed a Salted Lime Pie. We requested to omit the added salt on top bc I fine most places to over do it. The pie came with a mango sorbet which came on the side. Overall we thought that was a sweet treat for the end.
I feel like this would be a great place to come for just cocktails and maybe the desserts. But after this visit I can't see why paying $26 for half a chicken which was double batter to rock hard crispiness with out a good combination of seasonings be worth it. I'll probably give it another try bc I do like the location and being outside but idk.

Wonderful food! I will admit I was skeptical upon arrival as most all reviews I had seen were for dinner. I decided to go for brunch and try it out but the menu was a bit limited and even confusingly vague. Decided french toast was a safe choice. Purchased the "Strawberry Shortcake French Toast." It was possibly the best french toast I've ever had. Made with a thick piece of bread, possibly sour dough. It was soft, yet crisp at the same time. Was also topped with Strawberry sauce with a hint of mint on top. The way the flavors blended was simply brilliant. Well done for "The Dutch!"

I came here for Mother's Day with my family, and I had a pleasant experience. We sat outside; although we had a reservation at 2:30 and arrived on time, we still had to wait for a while to be seated. I also looked up the menu beforehand, and wasn't sure what vegan options there were. I was pleased to find out that they could make me a veganized version of the Grilled Salmon Salad. It was basically all the same ingredients, except the salmon and dressing were substituted with grilled tofu and a balsamic vinaigrette. It was really tasty! I would have liked to see something on the menu off the bat, but I'm very glad that I got something I was happy with. I don't know if I'll be back again, but my mom and grandma were very happy we all got together for them.

Cool place for brunch. My husband and I visited for a date. The atmosphere is very welcoming for a more intimate brunch or if you plan to have conversation. Their menu isn't as extensive as I've seen at other places but it's satisfying. I had the hanger steak with kimichi fried rice with an egg over easy. My husband had the burger and we shared an order of honey butter biscuits (2). The biscuit was a buttery and crunchy - almost like pie crust and was soft in the very middle. The honey flavor didn't come through as well as I expected but it was enjoyable. The hanger steak was very tender - cook perfect but I wasn't crazy about the flavor. The kimichi fried rice with the egg made the dish. My husband's burger was amazing- juicy, flavorful and cheesy. I didn't try the fries 😞. I had a bellini- white peach. The Prosecco dominated the drink so of you prefer a splash of flavor - their drinks are for you: bellini, mimosa and bloody mary. Overall, we enjoyed our visit.

Brunch at the Dutch was awesome. Service was excellent, Miriam did a good job taking care of our table, coffee cup was always full! Overall excellent food, the spinach frittata was awesome.

Very nice atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Food and drinks are delicious. Service was very good although a little slow. I think our server was over worked. Drinks very slow to be served. Food was served hot by other staff.
Marissa Plaza
We went there for New Years and it was great! Service was amazing even though most of the tables were occupied. Big trouble in little tromba was my favorite cocktail. For appetizers try the coconut lobster and the jumbo shrimps, amazing!
The only reason I don’t give this a 5 is because we ordered the Miso Black cod and it was just ok. But I really enjoyed the salmon. I would definitely come back and would love to try their brunch!
Jane L
Great restaurant at the W. The hostess warned me ahead of time that the kitchen was backed up, but I only waited about 15-20 mins for my food. The grilled chicken salad was outstanding, highly recommended. Friendly staff, good atmosphere.
Michelle Francis
Brunch here is amazing! The flapjacks were a hit with the entire table. Drinks were on point! Well worth a visit!
Justine Vild
Beautiful restaurant with great service. It looks like they have valet parking but that might have been for the W Hotel. There was a paid parking lot across the street on the hill and a $6/hr parking garage close as well. We ended up getting a metered spot right across the street. It takes change. We didn't have enough. That ended up being no problem though as the bar easily gave us change.
When you enter the restaurant, it's not quite clear but you turn to the right and the reception desk will be just a short walk down. I had made a reservation online 30 minutes ahead but the restaurant was not too busy and we were seated right away.
We started with a cocktail. My husband did not love his Old Fashioned but my Hot Tin Roof was amazing. I totally expected to hand it over to my husband after a sip. Kudos to whoever created that amazing concoction!
For lunch, my husband ordered oysters which were fabulous he said and the burger. He loved the burger too, I thought it was good but nothing spectacular. I ate his fries which were good but I wasn't impressed with the ranch. It was too...herby/lemony for my taste. I also ordered the coconut lobster from the raw bar. The lobster was cooked perfectly and the sauce was fine but I didn't really taste any coconut.
I ordered the Salted Lime Pie for dessert. It. Was. Heaven. Pure heaven. The ice cream was so yummy too. I would give this place 4.5 stars and it's definitely worth trying out. Especially for cocktails and dessert!

Always (4) a pleasant experience: food, drinks, service. Good cost/quality ratio. Inventive dishes that don't stray too far from its origin but still taste original (Avocado Toast, French Toast, cocktails). Superb service from all departments: host, server, bartenders, wait staff.
Delaney Lindstrom
Just had lunch at The Dutch and it was wonderful! We got the tuna crudo which was so soft and yummy and then for my entree I got the salmon. Cooked just right with the yummiest potato puree!
Julia F
Excellent food! Flavor of sources is so unique, rich, and exquisite.
Becky Richards
We were there as a large group (about 20). We were seated quickly, with drinks in hand very shortly after. The staff did a phenomenal job ensuring that our orders were taken and came out at the same time, our drinks never ran dry. As for the food, our group probably ordered at least one of everything on the menu and everyone was happy with their meal. I can only speak to what I had (cornbread, ribs appetizer, fried chicken) and it was all superb. The chicken was brined, crispy and had a very nice heat to it. Highly recommend and will definitely be back on our next visit to Nashville.
Aron Plucinski
Great place to eat and as a local resident of Nashville I really enjoyed it, yep it’s a restaurant in a hotel. Great service (wow imagine great service these days!) the ambiance was wonderful, bar, fireplace and all, seating was spacious not crammed and the food was delicious and well presented. Ate here with a friend last night and we will go back. The food was wonderful and tasty. The pumpkin soup was amazing. The burger and pomme frite were perfect, seriously a great burger and my friend had the pork chop (more like a tomohawk pork chop) it was amazing. Roasted beat and lebneh was divine. Great wine selection. Thanks.

We had an incredible meal last night. Appetizers were all delicious including a delicious tuna crudo and coconut lobster. All of our entrees were delicious. Stand out was the burger and the new pork they just added to the menu. Server was terrific and the manager made a perfect suggestion for our bottle of wine to pair with our meal. Highly recommend!

The minute I walked into The Dutch, I noticed how beautiful and inviting the space was. I was especially impressed with the staff. Unlike other restaurants in town who are trying hard to give off an LA vibe, I was relieved to encounter a genuine warmth and down-to-earth feel. I loved the oysters and tuna crudo (highly recommend)! The grilled pork chop was cooked perfectly and the burger was fantastic. The wine was delicious! Perfect place for local business meetings as well as a pre-show dinner. Centrally located for visitors to fill up on a delicious meal before heading to the honky-tonks!
Elizabeth Allison
Had a private party for 18 people and it was perfect! The apps (beets, oyster sandwich, ribs) were so good! Everyone loved the hanger steak and snapper. Our server and the Somm made it a great evening. Will definitely be back couldnt be more pleased with our food and the service.
RL KJ
A little pricey for the quality of food. The atmosphere is gorgeous and enjoyed the live music. They were very busy on a Sunday and there was not enough wait staff to accommodate all of their patrons
Kristina
The food & service was phenomenal!! Everything was so delicious. We even had a discrepancy in our reservation and it was honored & taken care of very professionally. I recommend.
Ryan P
THE place for dinner with a wonderful staff. The vibe is inviting and the food will keep you coming back. Start with the delicious oysters and cornbread - both fantastic. The hanger steak and burger are standouts, but you also can’t go wrong with the fish options or pork chop. Haven’t tried the duck or fried chicken yet - next visit!

I came here with a large group of 12, we previously made reservation. This place is beautiful! The food is TO DIE FOR, some of the best dishes I've ever had. The service was on par and we really enjoyed our experience. I recommend this for a date night, drinks, or family dinner.
michael stein
We had a great dinner. They were able to accommodate a party of 18 people and the fried chicken and cheeseburgers were fantastic as was the hanger steak and the halibut. We shared a few apps which you shouldn't pass on like the atlantic red crab with bloody mary dressing and the pork ribs in sticky glaze. You'll have a great evening.
Sue Roberts
Overpriced and not the best food.
However, if you sit at the bar it's a good time. service was better there than at the table.
Brent Holt
First time trying this restaurant. My wife and I both had the scallops with a side of brussel sprouts which was just excellent. The service overall was outstanding and our waitress was very attentive to our needs. The thing I did not like about the Dutch was the seating and the noise level. Couples were seated at tables less than two feet from other couples along the wall. It was almost impossible to have a conversation because of the seating and the overall noise level of the restaurant. Definitely not a place to go if you are looking to converse with your partner. We will likely go back, but there are so many great restaurants to try in the Gulch/Nashville area.
Susan Wright
3.0+ stars The bar and overall space is beautiful. The music was so loud we yelled across our table during our entire evening. (and so did everyone else making it even louder) Maybe I’m getting old but why do so many restaurants play loud music during dinner? I get creating a vibe but gesh we want to enjoy our company and have conversation. After reading about the restaurant our expectations were set for a high level experience. James Beard … NY hospitality group with multiple restaurants, etc. the needle is set higher with a ‘dining experience.’ From the moment we sat down it was obvious they were short staffed. Service was not just slow but disappointing. The bar was so backed up our first cocktail took 15 mins. Although our server was a delightful person the attention to detail was lacking. She would walk by and see our water glasses were empty but didn’t fill them. In addition the server would pick up an empty dish but leave the food crumbs on the table. Server 101 keep a table clean, glasses full and alcohol flowing.
The manager, or I assume was the manager, was very attentive stopping at our table several times to pour wine. We would have had a few more rounds of cocktails had the bar not been so backed up. First cocktail 15 min wait, the second arrived with our meal.
Food: The food - cornbread (yum), fried chicken (good) the biscuit with the chicken was awesome, hanger steak one of their specialities was ehh .. and halibut (good). The deserts, carrot cake and a chocolate something-something were tasty but not oh wow. The wine list. They offer a good selection of wine however the bottles are priced double than the retail price. Our bottle in the store would be $95, their price $210.
Overall our meal was a ‘good’ but not an ‘oh wow’ something special kind of meal especially for the money and the credentials behind the restaurant. Between the loud music and slow service and a ‘good’ meal I just couldn't give Dutch anything higher than a 3.0-3.5 stars. For the money, 4 of us; dinner + cocktails + wine + tip = $600. For that kind of money I don't want to have to yell across a table to have a conversation nor wipe my own table down to keep it clean. Granted the wine was $200, still this was not a $400 meal or experience. I'll eat at ETCH any day for less money and an exceptional service and dining experience.
Robert Mannis
I recently dined at The Dutch with 3 friends. We all ordered different items off of the menu intentionally so we could each try things…the red snapper, the Dutch burger, the hanger steak and the pork chop. The food did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and our experience was only enhanced by the great service.
Eva Patrick
Lovely atmosphere and solid food options! Ask for Jordan at the bar – then ask for the Life Coach (Mezcal, Vermouth, and cucumber) and watch this handsome dude mix you a unique drink with style and a hearty smile. You'd ask for another, I guarantee.
Natasha Jain
Great food, service and atmosphere. Would have rated higher if they were more baby friendly. Mommmas of little ones beware though- no changing table in the bathrooms!!! Bathrooms are huge but no changing table. Had to change my little girl in the hard sink counters.
Christopher Koegen
Had to wait 40min for our thanksgiving dinner booking. Waitstaff was great as was the food, but disappointing to have to wait so long for your booked table.
Nicole Flowers
Dined alone at bar on a recent trip to Music City. Had the grilled salmon with pickled mango which was a pleasantly interesting combination of tastes. I'm a strictly Pinot Grigio drinker and they don't have one on their wine list by the glass, but Jordan the bartender recommended the Albarino from Napa which was an excellent choice and so I had two! Very nice young man, had a good chat, overall pleasant experience with food and service and will return next time in Nashville.
Welby Lloyd
Good food great bar. Stanley is a great mixologist. The restaurant is really nice found inside the W hotel. You can have a conversation without being drowned out. But it's a pretty dark location. Small but good menu.
Thomas Fitzpatrick
Our server last Friday night was Emma. She was amazing! The food is incredible! Wat a fantastic experience. Can't wait to go back to The Dutch!
Kati Sharp
We had the best night out at the Dutch! Our server Emma was EXCELLENT! She had so many good suggestions and was cute as a button. We will def come back

Outstanding place for high end dining. Great service, something that is sadly lacking here in Nashville with many places. REALLY enjoyed my meal and unique cocktails.
Brian Alexander
Stanley, the bartender, was incredibly nice. The strawberry French toast was honestly the best I’ve ever had.. and the Crab Benedict was amazing.
My only critique is that the French Toast should be bigger than 1 piece. It’s $16.. and it’s an inexpensive dish to make.
Also, I couldn’t get a reservation online so I called and got a “no”, but I worked in a similar hotel/restaurant close by so I know the drill.. we show up in person and the hostess seemed ready to seat us till she asked if we were hotel guests, then we got a quick “no sorry we’re booked.” So I had to dig in my bag of tricks and ask “can we sit at the bar?” Finally she couldn’t say no so we went to the bar where only 2 seats were occupied. Like come on.. but as I said Stanley took great care of us and we’ll be back- the buffet looked awesome as well.

My experience at the Dutch was great. The food was very good and our server Kayla took good care of us. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for good atmosphere, good food and great service.
