Reviews of The Diner Nashville
Matt Lamb
Fun place. 6 story diner with breakfast/brunch, lunch and dinner, full bar, milkshakes, etc. We ate brunch on the top floor bar overlooking the city with great views. Nice menu with some diner basics and even sushi and oysters. Had the hot chicken and waffles and the oysters. Both were very good. Good cocktails also. Place was busy but we didn't have to wait long. We had our 2 teenagers with us and they liked it too.

This place is so nice. We aren’t from the area. We were looking where to eat. This place did not disappoint me. The food was amazing. The views that this restaurant has so amazing. I will come back when I go back to this area. The blue cheese they gave with the wings. It is probably one of my top five favorite blue cheese.
Brent Moseng
Nice location. Food service is interesting as you seat yourself. Very packed but only place I could find downtown where we could eat. You have to be flexible on seating and menu for kids not great but doable. I believe menus are different on some floors (Oysters only available on 6th floor). Not my favorite place but really liked we could get seated fast and eat relatively quickly. Our food was alright and I enjoyed it.
beautiful world
The only good thing about this place is the location and how the building looks. It has 6 floors, and the higher the better the view of the city. Not too expensive but food and service were average. They charge fee for being in downtown and another fee that is not a tip.
Edward Glynn
Always a seat available on one of the 5 floors. Fast, diner fare with good service.
Average cheeseburger and fries. Hit Nashville Chicken salad is a good deal and tasty. Shrimp and grits is variable- but good tonight. Sometimes it’s dry.
Gumbo has a nice spice. Smashed potatoes are 70% instant with a lil’ real. Not worth it.
Cheesecake and Carrot cake are well worth it. 7-layer bar sat around so was a bit rough.
Cappuccino spot on.
Yachai Reilly
This restaurant is 6 levels & each level has a different cuisine. You would never know it unless someone told you. It was amazing & so unique. I would definitely suggest eating here. The staff were amazing & helpful.
Tiffany Betts
Staff was so great! The hostess on the 4th floor had some amazing customer service!
Food came out super quick and everything was delicious!
Definitely would recommend.
Michael Freer
Good food. Great customer service. Awesome view. Alcohol available if you want. Very reasonable price. Located one block from the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Caro Wood
Stopped in here during lunch tine very hungry and tried the rattlesnake pasta and shrimp and grits. Really good portions and tasty. I was able to get a latte espresso to go after the meal and really appreciated that. The decor on their first floor is 50s cute but gets a bit more tired as you go up to other levels of the restaurant. We did go back for breakfast a few days later and didn’t enjoy it as much. Eggs tended to be over cooked and orange juice was more like a pint of cloudy water.
Christopher Frometa
We had just landed in Nashville and wanted to try something that had good reviews and a large menu. My order was delicious. The maple syrup was the added touch the breakfast sandwich needed. We also did bottomless mimosas which was a huge success amongst our group. Overall it was a good dining experience and we would definitely go back!

this has been my favorite 24 hour restaurant for years. Until covid came and the restaurant had to change their hours. the place offers a number of menu items as there are multiple floors that have multiple options. i have ordered many things here and all are pretty tasty :) my favorite thing to order is definitely their milkshakes
John Mcdonald
Felt like we were eating at a chain restaurant. The food was good not great. Nothing about the food really stood out but was brought ouht literally within 5 minutes of ordering. Super fast. The coffee and espresso drinks were good. The Hunny Bunny and Bees Knees would beat any Stabucks latte. The Birthday shake was too thick for the small straws that kept breaking but a spoon worked just fine. It tasted good as well. Our waiter was awesome but the hostess was rude to the point we almost left. There is some view from the 6th floor as shown in one of my review pics. I would try again
Jeff Rice
6 Floors and great food and service. We are only in Nashville for four days but we will be back. Breakfast was excellent and we will try dinner. Highly recommend a visit.
OK, two times in one day. The gumbo was excellent and the dessert cheese cake topped it off.
Nidhi K
Brunch with my girls before everyone traveled back home.
Amazing view of the very happening Nashville downtown.
Was amazed to know that the diner was on all the 5 floors.
Fredrik Otter
Great place, at least for breakfast! Nice and modern place with excellent service. Great menu with tasty shakes. Can totally recommend.
Teresa Foskey
This is a charming diner in the heart of Nashville. The prices were a little high and the breakfast menu is very limited. The food was delicious though. If you want to eat and enjoy the view of the city I would recommend it. If you want more food options and a kid friendly menu I'd go somewhere else.
Eveie Edgar
Absolutely delicious!! After trying to eat at two other places that had extremely long lines, we found this place and got sat immediately. And it didn’t take long to make our food either.
Amanda Yoch
We had breakfast on the 4th floor on the last day of our visit here in Nashville. Our meals came out fast and the service was outstanding! Ask for extra spicy if you get the hot chicken and waffles! I felt like the hot option wasn't hot enough.
ericka arreola
Cool concept but you definitely pay for it. The cocktail prices are not on the menu and the one we had was $16 so expect to pay $20 a drink. We didn't try any of the food but the food prices seemed fair. We sat on the 6th floor which is a bar with a good view of the city. It was fun to check out but we probably wouldn't come back.
kelly fisher
Amazing service and food. Ate here twice because we loved it so much! Shrimp and grits were the best that I ever had. Spiked mimosas are sooo good!
Lora Lovinger
Food was good, the prices seemed reasonable until they add their Own tip and fees. They charges so many extra fees that the bill was almost doubled. We asked about it and they said there was nothing they could do…
Tracy Coe
GREAT view from the 6th floor! Wish we had been given a sushi menu. Didn't know it was an option until we saw someone else receive his. Smallish menu- not like a quick diner at all. Now that I think about it, there might be different menus for the different floors? I guess we looked like regulars that didn't need any inside info. Food was delicious, and service was friendly.
Christopher Gross
Good clean restaurant. Stopped in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Will return to try out the sushi bar on the upper floors.
Bob Ritchey Jr
The hot chicken was good nice to try. The other food was ok . The service was not the best to be honest for it not being busy. So for our crew not a spot that was great.
Robin Huffines
We came before the CMT Artist of year awards the night before & night of the actual taping. Gavin was our waiter. Tuesday we ate on 1st floor. Night of awards we got a bit more ritzy & ate & drank before awards ceremony on the 3rd floor!! Great place, we love the atmosphere.
Aimee Jamieson
Just check the pictures ! Food was scrumptious. Atmosphere was fantastic on the 4th floor with window/doors open to the outside . Great staff
Michelle Vasko
Food was good, but expensive imo for what we got. Two orders of Nashville hot chicken with biscuits and gravy. $47...no drinks, just water.
Eliana Lamson
It was ok. Pretty average food. My sandwich was a bit bland. Interesting concept, but it really wasn't a Diner up where you can order food. Maybe stay on level one and get a milkshake instead. That looked a lot more diner like.
Dustin Barrett
Great location with a great view. The food was good and sizable portions. Our server seemed like she had MUCH better things to do. There were a couple of things that turned us off. I wont be back nor do I recommend. Nashville has a million and 1 other places to go.
M Velez
This was a cool place to check out. It's 6 floors. We dined on the top floor for sushi and apps. The garage bay windows were open for a beautiful view of downtown.
Gloria Ornelaz-Sandoval
Awesome food, loved the 4th floor view. Bradley was awesome and very informative. First time in Nashville and decided to try this place. Definitely met expectations and more.
Laura Conklin
Cool concept of multiple floor restaurant. We walked in without a reservation and ended up with a window table on the 6th floor. Drinks were great, service was fast, the food was mediocre.
Daniel Jansen
A most excellent choice for breakfast! We had stayed at the Hyatt and almost ended up eating breakfast there, but the wait was terrible. So we strolled down to The Diner Nashville and could not have been happier. Great service, great food, and a pretty cool environment.
K B
Great overlook into downtown & good food. I like the different levels as well you get different vibes with each floor.
CraftyWheel
Usually come here for breakfast and lunch with positive experiences. The staff is attentive and polite. If you can sit on floors 3 + and get a window seat, great views. Food is good but not out of this world. Pretty on par with a standard cafe.
chris Hardemon
Great establishment with 4 floors ordered the Kung pow wings and rattlesnake pasta everything was delicious will definitely be a repeat customer
Sammie robinson
shrimp and grits were to die for! amazing drinks with beautiful view! just the right atmosphere we were looking for!
Rachel Kern
Such a fun place to enjoy dinner and have a great indoor/outdoor experience and see the bustling city from the balcony. Best chicken I've ever had. I am from Central Illinois, so take that into consideration about my experience with chicken lol. This stuff was really good chicken though!!!
Amanda Bush
The food and cocktails were perfect. This is a great lunch spot. Unfortunately our waitress had an attitude and acted like anything we asked for was an inconvenience. We would come back for the delicious food and drinks though!
Steven Pike
Out favorite diner for breakfast whilst in Nashville. The diner actually has 6 stories to it - unfortunately, we only visited the ground floor while we were there.
Linda Davis
We had a wonderful Sunday brunch here - Harold took great care of us, and made excellent suggestions for our meal. I never, NEVER finish my meals but I devoured the (Nashville Hot) chicken and biscuits with country gravy - SO good! We also had an arugula and watermelon salad which was terrific as well and the caramel brownie cheesecake (decadent). My bloody mary was just the right level of spicy. Highly recommend!
delinquent_5oh
Good food and nice staff. Good views also. Price wasn’t too bad considering it’s downtown Nashville.
Ludovic MASSON
Great diner place - food and service was good ! Chicken salad and shrimp&grit were good !!
Jim Phillips
On vacation, we ate here two times with four people. Every meal we had was great, especially the hot chicken and waffles. The staff is friendly and does not rush you out. We sat on different floors each time. Clean bathrooms and friendly atmosphere
Brandon Rivera
As always this place is great for breakfast or late night cravings.
Not a fan of the 1 beer at a time rule but hey I’m sure it’s there for a reason.
Food is okay and service is good.
Marc Blansit
The place was clean, quiet, and very good food. Kind of out of our league but still enjoyable. People were very upbeat and on top of their game. Nice place to eat in the middle of all the chaos a couple of streets over.
Todd McCalla
Solid breakfast, food was better than I expected. I would go back if in close proximity but not out of my way due to location.
Theresa Bell
Get reservations if you don't want a wait, even if told you don't need them. Eclectic diner photos on first floor, nice black and white tile diner decor with red beaded chandeliers.
Food is a bit pricey for standard diner fare.
Julie Walters
In Nashville visiting for work and hotel suggested this place on our first night. Had a great meal that night, but the kitchen was struggling on another night the same week when the work team reserved for 20 people and several steak plates for our large party came out at incorrect temperatures. The rest of the meal items were great that night and our servers were well on top of resolving the steaks issue.
Doodle M
We had dinner on the 3rd floor..the atmosphere was great overlooking the city they had the window open so nice! My husband said the salmon was very good he liked the side of aoli that came with it. I had a salad medium flavored chicken all very fresh .. not able to finish it.. prices very reasonable
Ali Carlton
Went to this place on a whim and I’m so glad we did! Delicious food and views. We got to sit on the 6th floor and the breeze was perfect. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. I highly recommend the Belgian waffle!
Autumn Barnett
Easy to reserve a table. Fast service and good food! Cool decor on flour four
Thad Walsh
Great service! Good food and atmosphere! The hot chicken & waffles are some of the best in town. Their coffee drinks are amazing as well! I definitely recommend this place when you're in Nashville!
R B
Went here twice right before the game and for breakfast. The bartender that served us before the game had a terrible attitude! Should not be in the hospitality industry! But server fire breakfast was great! Shrimp and grits must try and biscuits are delicious!
Amber Toomer
Great place! Unique in that it's multi-level. The windows are garage door style and roll up which is also super cool, especially on the 4th floor.
Recommend: chicken and waffles - delicious!
Catherine Phillips
Excellent brunch! We were first sent to the fourth floor, but it was so hot we went back downstairs and were seated in the much cooler area. Great service from hostess and server/bartender.
Roann Lara
Tried the Diner Nashville when we stopped to get food on our road trip. We had breakfast and it was overall pretty good nice portions. Yummy food. The setting was pretty retro it was cool. Tried their Belgian waffle sliders which was pretty good. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I had to wave my waitress down she would check on all the other tables around us except ours until I waved. Other than that solid place to eat. They also have coffee there.
Reina Gattino
All I can comment on was the breakfast. It was close to our hotel and the food and specialty coffee was absolutely delicious. However it is pretty expensive. Also it's advertised as 24-hr and we had plans to eat dinner here after a concert. However when we arrived around 10-10:30 they were closed, leaving us disappointed and hungry with no other options.
Tess Harm
All in all it was good. The kitchen can't take eggs to order...only scrambled. I would have gladly come into the kitchen and make my own eggs and would have happily taught the crew how to make eggs over easy.
Kelsey Michalsen
Brunch with a FANTASTIC view!! Each floor has a little bit different options to offer on the menu. We sat on the 6th floor and our server Bradley was wonderful. Can see a great view of a rooftop garden across the street and the city. I had the California sandwich and my husband had biscuits and gravy, we weren’t disappointed. They also open at 7 am which is hard to find down here! We found out about this place the night before when we walked by and grabbed some treats we saw from the window (those were amazing as well). It was lively in here yet peaceful and relatively chill all at the same time.
You need some brunch? Come and have it here.
Kayla Schaapveld
Delicious food and fun atmosphere. I was happy they had brunch options since I prefer lunch over breakfast. My friend got biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were very fresh and delicious.
William Zaderiko
Great food. My grandson is a bmvery picky eater. He loved your Belgium waffle, it was on point. Thanks for giving my grandson a Great experience. Spectacular views from most areas.

Update: 12–05-21 - Owners have changed this place and no good anymore. They serve Bacon with burgers but you can’t get À la carte (until you beg and pay $7 for 3 pieces). They also do not stay open 24/7. This place is going downhill quickly.
Old review: Three words: smoked Gouda grits... best freaking place ever. Open 24/7, serves alcohol 23 hours the day. Only town they do not service from 5 to 6 AM.
Charity C
This place has a variety of options and the service is great. The view from the 6th floor is beautiful. The chicken parmigiana portion was exceptional. The plate itself was decent - not roll your eyes good, but not nasty either. I would say the best parts of the meal were the calamari with the banana peppers they were really tasty. Lastly, the brownie cheesecake is TO DIE FOR 😍😍😍🤤
Joss Slagle
The food was good. The milkshake was incredible! The waitress seemed more interested in talking to co workers and a frequent customer then dealing with her two total tables. The bus boy or cook that brought out our food was incredibly sweet. There was no live music which was what I was looking for. I like my ear drums. The place had a great decor with a genuine vintage theme. Masks were required to tables.
Stephanie Nesbitt
Wonderful diner with 6 floors of seating!!! The view was beautiful where we sat (on floor 4). Everything we tasted on the menu was divine. I had a simple avocado toast that really hit the spot. The breakfast sandwiches are hearty and delicious. And their mimosas are so fun: we tried the orange Creamsicle, strawberry, and cinnamon apple and all three were absolutely delicious! I loved this place all around.
Gabriel Latchaw
My partner and I shared the Rattlesnake pasta and the Shrimp and Grits. Phenomenal! The atmosphere and service were also excellent even on a busy New Year's Eve night.
Ali xx (lil lobo)
Biggest positive, serves food late. Food was okay. Small variety, but okay for late night. Coffee was good. Automatic gratuity after 11pm- understandable, but we weren't familiar with it.
Tanya Stiles
Ot was ok. We had a large party (13) and they were able to seat us in the Diner themed area on 1st floor. Food was average and quick for a large party. Nothing bad, but nothing great. Waitstaff frie day, but didn't seem knowledgeable about the menu, may he new.
Terrence King
One of the best kept secrets just a block off the strip. The drinks were great cold and the bartender were very friendly. If you want a drink without being overwhelmed by the crowds this is the spot. Did I mention the view, the view sealed the deal. The next we are in Nashville I will definitely be back.
Linda Frame
Fantastic breakfast on the 5th floor. Great coffee & Bloody Mary. Foid was very good, love the cheese grits and the biscuits and gravy are out of this world. Service was excellent and wonderful view ❤️
Mark Mutza
This is a very cool place with 6 floors of a very narrow building this vertical diner has seating along the windows, which open, overlooking the street below. Enjoy the sounds of downtown Nashville as you enjoy some great food.
Lexi Bolton
There are multiple floors to The Diner. Pre-Covid, each floor had a different menu, but currently they are serving the same menu on each level. There is a good selection of desserts in the display case up front. I had a philly steak sandwich. It was decent, but the cheese sauce made it soggy pretty quickly. They do serve alcohol, so that is a bonus for a diner.
Johna Davis
Wow best chicken and waffles I've had! Everyone has recommended the Nashville Hot Chicken and The Diner set the bar high. It was the perfect amount of heat (I ordered hot) seasoned delicious and so juicy and tender. Waffles were awesome also. My husband got the burger and fries and it was good too. A must visit in downtown Nashville. 😋🔥❤
maggie moore
They call themselves a diner but the only kind of eggs you can order are scrambled. Kinda sus if you ask me. Three stars because our waiter was a nice old man.
Keith Kuchler
Fun place and atmosphere. Food was meh. Chilli should be piping hot, not like warm. The Nashville hot chicken and the cheese for the pretzels were bland. Overall a good place to spend time.
Nikeeta FoxFive
We had a great evening here the hubby and I. Ashley was our sever she was knowledgeable on the menu and was able to recommend some items as well I would suggest a few improvements. The tea wasn't sweet, and a very limited menu, and bringing a new glass for refills instead of taking the old glass back to the kitchen (COVID PRECAUTIONS). We opted for the chef special Pork chop with apple chutney. Asparagus and mashed potatoes with sweet potatoe pie. The location is beautiful, it's downtown Nashville with a great view. Parking garage right next door. Will definitely visit again.
kathy kelley
I walked in on a Saturday morning and it wasn't what I expected to be.
But, where I'm from in Chicago the diner food pretty good, so I was optimistic. The the hostess showed me to my seat. The busboy, very nice guy brought the water and sent out my waiter Max. I looked over the menu, and I just couldn't figure out what I wanted. So finally when Max came to check on me and I asked him what he liked. Max recommended a few things, and I decided to go with the hot chicken wrap. Unfortunately they have to dull down the spicy hot chicken wrap for tourist. I had to add Tabasco sauce, and it was still really good. I also ordered the mac and cheese which can easily be turned into a lobster mac and cheese. it was awesome the sauce reminded me of a lobster bisque I had once. I can see the menu changing to offering a half sandwich and a cup of mac and cheese it would still be a full meal. I had enough to eat. I was full when I left. Max gave good service he didn't hover over my table. I will be going back for chicken and waffles. I'd like to try the lemon bar.
Jena Dunham
What a really great place for a bite! They are open 24 hours a day and have 6 floors. There is an oyster and sushi bar and a coffee shop. You can get vegetarian food and kids food here. They have fancy plates and they have good comfort food like pot roast. Pretty much they have something for every taste. I was expecting something different than this place but I was pleasantly surprised. We did not wait for a table and the food came quick. The food was Amazing! Nice atmosphere and view as well. I am already craving a return trip. Too bad I am from out of town.
E Owen
Nashville food at its finest. This is as close to a diner experience I could have hoped for Breakfast in Nashville. The Diner is famous for its many floors and different meal options. Because of its diversity I classify this as a must go for anyone who visits here!
Sammi
I came here with a friend for dinner on a Sunday night and sat on the 6th floor at the window. The view was great and the breeze felt nice while we were sitting there. The server was attentive and made sure to check on us often. The gouda grits were really good and I highly recommend them, very filling. The sushi was also a pretty decent size, but it was a little pricey.
john lara
Cleanliness: good
Service : fair
Food: fair
Overall it was a good experience and the place looked nice but want wow’d. Waffles were great and the chicken was okay. Eggs were also pretty good along with potato’s. Social distancing was fine with the scan menu which is kind of nice but won’t ever understand a mask to the table but that’s not their fault and their doing well with enforcing.
Zac Johnson
I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. 4th floor dining lent itself to a great brunch experience with a gorgeous view. I had the Nashville Cheesesteak sandwich with fries, and was highly impressed. Service seemed a bit slow, yet the wait staff was attentive, so I can’t say too much more about that. Overall, a great place to grab brunch, as they serve breakfast from 6-3, and the rest of their menu is open all day.
Joe Dezzutti
Food was good, friendly and quick service.
They had 3 levels with with difernet themes, same menu. Menu was nice and simple
Renee Fini
We had a big group and were well taken care of. The food was amazing. Fresh, warm and big servings. Definitely will go again!
Jerod Tolson
Can I add another star!?!? Ate breakfast and everything was delicious!
I had the SoBro Breakfast and wifey had the Omlette. The biscuits were soft and fluffy and made fresh. I'm no culinary genuis but my guess is from scratch. My bacon was great...not too crunch not too fatty. The star of the meal was the potatoes! Words can't even describe.
The design and concept of The Diner is intriguing...5 floors open 24 hours, with each floor offering a different cuisine. Don't be alarmed you can order anything. We ate on the 4th floor which had a traditional atmosphere, while the 1stvfliorbhad a Silver Diner theme. There was a TV on one wall of the 4th floor, while the space is small enough to offer every patron views of the Nashville skyline through the all glass windows.
I'm dying to try the oysters. We had dinner at the Southern the night before and I had remorse after the breakfast home run at The Diner. We'll be back!!
Robert Motondo
The Diner delivers excellent food and service on every floor! Eric was the best server and the food was delicious. My Gumbo was FIRE!
Nick w
The food was good but not great. I ordered the Hot chicken and waffle. I got it hot as I love the heat. The syrup was real maple syrup that comes in a small bottle. The spice was not was mild with slow rise with the heat the more I ate. The chicken was of really good quality and the waffle was tasty but it seemed to be missing something to make it great.
My wife ordered the turkey club with fries and the fries where the frozen and not fresh cut, which the fresh cut is what I would prefer. So the fries would rank a normal not great with me. The Turkey club was on perfect toast and the bacon stacked was of good quality and really complemented the sandwich. The avocado like spread was very tasty and was acknowledged by my wife at least twice during our meal.
We ordered waters and I had a small glass of OJ that was served at or just below room temp.
Server was great and very attentive but not pushy.
We had our meal on the 4th floor as this restuarant is multi-level. Summer months they open the garage doors and I could imagine on a nice day it would be a pleasure to dine. Overall the restaurant was clean, appealing and service was very good.
K McCullen
My husband and I was visiting Nashville, TN last weekend. We decided to try The Diner bc of the reviews on Yelp. We walked in and was seated right away, up on the 4th floor. The waiter was nice and welcoming, asking if we had dined there before or our 1st time. Of course, it was our 1st time, so he explained some of the dishes to include Chicken & Waffles and Waffle sandwich as the best. He explained the Chicken and Waffle could be ordered in 3 different degrees of "hot", no spice, mild and hot. I ordered no spice chicken & waffle with a side of grits and my husband ordered the steak & eggs meal with a side of grits. The steak medium rare and eggs fried hard. It took about 15-20 minutes for the food to come out. Right away, my husband checked his steak & it was well done & his eggs were runny. The waiter apologized for the mix up. He took the steak back to the kitchen. We also received 1 "big" bowl of grits with several shrimps. Remember we ordered 2 sides of grits ($4 each). Meanwhile, I'm trying my chicken & waffle meal & it was a 2 out of 5 at best. The chicken was regular tasting like my home made chicken & the waffle was just blah. We did dig into this bowl of grits w/o realizing it wasn't what we ordered. This bbq shrimp& grits was delicious (costing $22). Meanwhile, we still waiting on the steak to come back. We told our waiter just box it up bc we had to leave. Oh i was also offered a bloody Mary or mimosa. I opted for a mimosa. Well it too was just ok.
The upside to this place was the desserts on display at the entrance. I got a slice of red velvet to go. Now that cake made up for all their lacking areas.
Overall, this place was a low 3 & I don't think i would recommend it.
Erin222
Great breakfast/brunch in this classic Americana diner with a cool, fresh vibe. I only wished I saved room for dessert.
Eddy Frisk
The Diner commands a presence from its massive exterior, 6 floors of uniquely different types of dining experiences. Tried the first level, which was their coffee and pastry section. The interior was great, but it seemed that they were understaffed as the service seemed overwhelmed and unorganized- perhaps just a rough night. The cheesecake was average and the cake was dry. This place has a lot of potential, but they need to step it up.
Billy Draper
We had friends in town over the holidays and one needed to go to leave early so on the way back from the airport, we decided to give The Diner a try. Glad we stopped by for breakfast. Parking can be a bit of a challenge in Nashville. Since we were going to walk around a bit after breakfast, we decide to use the parking garage across the street. Upon entry at The Diner, we were treated by a hostess that was going to seat all 4 of us at a fairly small table. We asked for something larger and were directed to the elevator and told to get off on the 4th floor. Once off the elevator, we e were greated by a hostess, that promptly sat us at a very nice table with a nice view of downtown Nashville. Our waiter was friendly and prompt with our drinks and food. Just enough time between drink deliver and our food for some sight seeing and light conversation. The breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. If you are in Nashville give The Diner a try, each floor offers something a little different and as a added bonus some nice views of Nashville.

The food was Delicious! The food is Worth the price. The Nash Vegas drink is a Must Try!! They have several floors to their restaurant. We were rushing against time so the host said the first floor is the quickest to get food. Our waitress was very sweet. Beautiful Diner!

Here on a work trip, came in without a reservation. Headed up the elevator to the 6th floor to dine. Had nice views and a pretty decent menu. We got the calamari with fried pepperoncinis, boom boom shrimp & bbq shrimp and grits. The food comes out very quickly too!
Nate Rock
Just got back from being out on the town ~3am... this place is rocking 24 hours a day!
The service was fast and the food was great for a late night/early morning grub-fest.
We had chick n wings, Ribeye and a build your own mamosa configuration that hit the spot!
One thing to note is that at the time we went, only the 1st and 6th floors were open. The first floor was full menu and the 6th floor was drinks and bar menu only
Fantastic place to watch the sunrise in Nashville =)
Danette Mahabeer
First time here and absolutely loved it.
The food was amazing. I had the beer cheese (cheese steak sandwich).
Yumz
We watched the NFL games while hanging out. Very friendly servers.
Highly recommend
Laura Simonetti
Attended a company Christmas party and the food and service was great. Filet was excellent, mashed potatoes and asparagus was fabulous.
Shiloh Burns
Been here a couple times and both experiences were great. The first time we went (on a weekend during dinner), some floors were reservation only. We were still able to eat on the 2nd floor at the bar without a reservation. The most recent time we went (on a Thursday afternoon) we were able to walk right in without a reservation and eat on the 4th floor with table service. The food is delicious and a good price. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant if you're going to an event at Schermerhorn Smphony Center, Ascend Ampitheter, or just visiting downtown.
Adam Reviews
Overall, perfect for a family meal. Great service and ambience. Good job! Food very high standard.
Stacey Williams
I cancelled reservations at an Italian restaurant, as I was looking for an “experience” vs cuisine type. It’s our first time in TN (drove in from Houston) and we wanted a non-traditional Christmas dinner. When I stumbled on this spot, the 6 floors wowed me. Then the menu had multiple options I’d actually eat rather than an option because it’s the only thing I’d eat. I was trying to decide between The Hot Chicken and Waffles and Shrimp and Grits and Zach our waiter wasn’t annoyed by all my questions hahaha. I worked in the restaurant industry both FOH and a BOH kitchen and I know how it is. Impeccable service, food was Mmmmm Delish!!! From the hostesses on the first floor to the 4th and the waiter. Thank you all so much!!! Absolutely loved it!
scott arbuse
Atmosphere was great and took us on time for breakfast/brunch. The service was VERY VERY slow, and it was NOT crowded and there were enough servers. Took 20 minutes to get a glass of water. But the view was great as was the food.
Vauixrose Lewis
Great spot several floors for different t experience very small menu but they heave charm all their favorites to melt in your mouth and they have sushi. TV screens to watch sports and it’s in the heart of bourbon street.
Tory Markwell
Gavin, thank you for being so awesome. We really enjoyed our dinner this evening. Glad we didn't dine on the 6th floor. 10/10 would recommend 🤍 …
Gil Gonzalez
Quaint diner with a good selection of traditional diner fare. A great alternative to the country music eateries in Nashville.
Dennis Hood
Plenty of room in the multi floor bar/restaurant. We were sent to the second floor bar which is pretty dreary, and is heavy on the concrete. We may have been sent here because we came in from a heavy sudden rainfall. Our bartender/server was very nice and provided great service. The food here is good on flavor and freshness, but not high on originality. Similarly the cocktails are what they claim to be, but underwhelm for the price, in size, flavor and alcohol content. It reinforces my tendency to get out of the downtown for the best food and spirits.
Hugo Santacruz
Cool brunch spot with good food had a little bit of everything here best two for me were the waffle sliders and chicken and biscuits and can't ever go wrong with mimosas
Joshua Beitler
I went in here after not being able to get into anywhere else for breakfast. Glad I did because it was great. More modern than a traditional diner, but also had a more modern menu. Food was good, portions large and priced well. Coffee was really good!
Jim Smith
Stopped by late evening for a quick dinner. The atmosphere and people make you feel comfortable and like you are at home. I had chicken and waffles and I have to say it's probably he best I ever had. It's just off the main Broadway where all the bars are which means a little less busy on the street
Ernesto
The biscuits in this diner are absolutely wonderful along with the grits and the Country Fried steak and gravy. This staple in Nashville is open 24 hours and a beautiful Decor. It boasts 4 floors from casual to elegant dining. Before I forget amazing coffee.
James Hair
The limited menu was a disappointment. They serve some dishes at lunch but not dinner. I looked at other reviews and had my heart set on the chicken Parmesan. But… they only do it at lunch? It was clean and the staff was nice. But the quality of the food for the price and the limited menu makes it so/so

Now this was a surprising find in Downtown Nashville. After searching for over an hour for an available restaurant we came to The Diner and was pleasantly surprised at the 0 wait time gtrat atmosphere great food and multi-level dining experience. For your classic diner feel, stay on the 1st floor, visit the 4th floor for your traditional dining experience or fo on yo to the rooftop 6th floor for a bar feel. It was such a great choice! Highly recommend!
Tomeka Ford
Food was ok.. nothing spectacular. Dined on the 6th floor and the view was nice of the city. Chase was nice as well!
Greg Andrews
WOW! Just WOW! Great place for breakfast, and excellent way to start the day just before your tours of the Country Music Hall of Fame and RCA Studio B! or... excellent way to polish off the evening with a late night snack, since the place is open 24hrs! The Hot Chicken and Waffles as well as the salt cured Ham Steak with Biscuits and Gravy are a perfect way to kick it off! Did I mention the AMAZING Hot Chocolate?! Love this place! The wait staff are fast, kitchen service was super fast, and even apologetic for what they thought was delayed service.
Sarah Goodman
Stopped by for breakfast. Loved the atmosphere, cocktails and service--we sat by the windows on the 4th floor--but the food was just okay. I'd recommend the waffle over the avocado toast, which was disappointing. It was our 1st time dining here. We might try a different time of day if back in the area.
Alex Rittenhouse
This place is adorable. Great location, shaded, open side wall windows for great air flow, friendly (beautiful) service, appropriate pricing and GREAT FOOD/DRINKS! Will definitely recommend to anyone.
Dalton Davis
This place is amazing.
Came here for a meal and got the Chicken Parmesan dish.
SO GOOD.
You definitely get what you pay for.
I can't describe how good this was.
Great view as well, it's at the top of the building on the 6th floor.
Our waitress was really nice too.
Check it out!
MikeyG
It was good food, with great service. The sushi bar was not open so I couldent get the shrimp boil or the oysters
Benjamin Miesel
Each of the six floors in this restaurant has a slightly different theme, with the sixth floor having its own unique menu. I finally was able to try Nashville hot chicken in their chicken and waffles dish and I was impressed. The view from the restaurant overlooks the downtown which I really enjoyed.
Dianne Monk
For the price, I expected a better quality. Grits and sausage were great. Eggs were over cooked and didn't seem like eggs that were cracked and cooked there. Biscuits were just so so. Never had jelly in a packet similar to ketchup packs from fast food.
Daryl George
Great atmosphere and staff. The food came out fresh and of good quality. Enjoy a nice wine and dine environment and a beautiful view of the city.
Denise Hill
The area is nice walking friendly.
The restaurant was great food, staff and atmosphere. The restaurant is good for casual dining for lunch or a great date night in the evening there are multiple restaurants within the diner which make this place awesome.
Daniel Stoltz
Perfect breakfast spot for family and friends. The views are spectacular and the service and food is great! Recommend getting the chocolate cake too, it’s amazing!
Riley Winters
The service and food was fantastic here and the happy hour is buy one get one free cocktails! The decor is also lovely, 50s style diner. The views were amazing as well looking out towards Broadway and the stadium.
Thomas Spurlock
Wasn’t expecting to like this place, but I really enjoyed it. We sat on the 4th floor with the windows open. Our server was great and the food was very good. I had the chicken and waffles...would definitely recommend.
Gaylynn Crosby
The diner has wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. The view was fantastic. We didn't have to wait and everyone was so friendly.
Cheryl White
Loved the atmosphere. 4th floor is the best spot. Service was very slow but food was great. Avocado toast was amazing! Servers were very nice.
A Djuric
When we visited Nashville, we closed the bars down every night. At 3:30 am, we would be STARVING!! This was our go to spot every night! Open 24 hours, the 4th floor is the BEST floor!! The lighting is just beyond perfect! The waitstaff was AWESOME and attentive. The food was Delicious! I ordered hot chicken and biscuits with a side of gravy every night! This place did not disappoint and is just a short, easy walk from the strip!!!
Tony Long
Private dinner on fourth floor. Enjoyed some sushi on another floor, prior to the event, and the waiter (bartender) accidentally put a large party charge on my card... He corrected it but could not give me a credit receipt showing the correction (which is not right) but the charge did come off the card a day later. Good food and service.
A Gandhi
Ok, so there is some novelty at dining at a six story "diner" at any time in the day and this restaurant does have a pretty cool environment, but the food is pretty awful. Now, one could argue that this is what should have been expected, but I still have to write about it. The veggie burger was meh and the spinach artichoke dip tasted like it was just reheated, but The Diner is more conveniently located than an otherwise desirable Taco Bell or dare I say Waffle House.
I'm not going to lie, I'll probably eat there again, but I'll try to fight the decision to go there....until I don't.
Happy late night eating!
Chrissy Brown
The shrimp and grits were great!!## but staff. Don't assume everyone is always on one ticket in the party. There were 4 of us. And you were not that bus. Maybe cuz we weren't a drunk group of women.....we wanted great food....ps. Dish the frozen potatoes ...
Eliska Jonck
Had a great experience here. Great food. Yummy hot chocolate. Can’t wait to come back here to try some of the milkshakes. We were on the first floor. Friendly staff.
Mr S Cox
The Diner Nashville is not your typical diner. We were looking for something away from the hustle, bustle and noise on Broadway. This is a 6 story diner with different food options depending on the day and time you visit. We had past by this establishment a couple times while venturing out from our hotel. We decided to give it a try after skipping breakfast to do late brunch one afternoon. The turkey avocado sandwich was delishious. My wife ordered the ham and cheese omelet with a side of diced potatoes. She said it was cooked perfectly. We would definitely dine here again. Breakfast and brunch have reasonable priced offerings but the dinner menu is more expensive. Since we haven't tried the dinner options I can't comment on portion sizes or taste but if our brunch was any indication you will not be disappointed. A definite place to try to get away from bar food.
Amber Daniels
Fast service and it was late. Not many restaurants are open after 11p in the area. Several TV's at the bar if you want to watch the game
Cameron Coppoletta
The Oysters are super fresh and the view is amazing. Sarah was very awesome with service. So nice you don't want to leave.
M D
So it is a modern diner styled like an old school diner. Cassidy was great she was nice, prompt and made me feel welcome. The patty melt was good, cooked the way I like it, wish it would have had grilled onions. Will be back. Still looking for a place like Rotier's...
Ricky Hicks
Awesome views of downtown Nashville. Food excellent, drinks 🍸 on point. …
Art Lochrie
Great views. Great deserts. Love it! We sat on the sixth floor. Amazing views of downtown! Hope to make it back soon. Will eat there every time we are in Nashville! Promise you that.
Jay W
Our favorite breakfast nook in Nashville.
Leslie Brown
The establishment was nice, but we weren't checked on for refills of our waters or if it food was okay. Other than that, i thought the food was great!
Anna Otis
I had the shrimp and grits. It was very expensive and I was still hungry. Cool idea but not worth the money sadly.
Bryan Walker
A very unusual concept. 6 floors with 3 different experiences. If you look at the menu online it isn't clear that some options are only available on one floor.
Lisa L.
The turkey sandwich was great! Even the fries were tasty. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.
Heidi Reams
This was a really cute lunch spot. The biscuit and gravy was amazing and yes they have bouji Lattes that were awesome too! I loved the open air 2nd floor views!
Ally W.
Cheesesteak was so filling and prices were expected. But such wonderful portion, enough for two meals . The diner has a really good atmosphere.
Ruth
Great place to eat in Nashville. Wonderful view, very attentive staff. Outstanding Bloody Mary's !
jacob dolph
An incredible 6 story atmosphere, I would highly reccomend for any and all events. Careful sushi lovers it closes after 11, have fun yall!
Robert Warren
Really cool atmosphere and great views of the city from the upper floors. Interesting design with 6 floors. Food was good but seemed a little pricey. Will definitely go back and give it another try.
Amanda Paxton
Went in for drinks and was not disappointed. 6 floors with a wonderful and panic inducing(I have a fear of heights) views of the city. Both drinks were on par in price for the rest of HT Row.
Kevin Jason
Food was excellent and the view from our "room" (fourth floor dining room) made the experience great. Unfortunately the service did not match the rest of the experience. It was a quiet morning (our floor was half full) and the server was not attentive.
April LaRae
Great location in Nashville by Bridgestone Arena. Really cool restaurant with different floors serving different types of menus. Service was excellent, I had the Dinner Special Bacon Chicken Gouda Mac-n-Chz 100% amazing! I also had the Rattlesnake Pasta substituted with grill shrimp, I’ll definitely come back for that dish!!!
Natalie Bowman
We ate on the 2nd floor. The waffle slider was the perfect combo of sweet and savory. The pineapple upside-down cake mimosa was very yummy. The server/bartender (John Wayne - that was his name) was fantastic!
Anthony Despirito
The chicken wings are awesome and the steak sandwich was just as goodGreat atmosphere 6 floors of restaurant great place to go after a game or even for lunch I must see when in Nashville
Kelly Salter
Very cute, tasty drinks, social staff. Tried the Bee's Knees per staff recommendation and it was tasty! Decently priced for the area it dwells
Rebecca Swafford
4th floor (pictured) is a very relaxing dining experience, especially if you're looking to get away from all the noise.
6th floor is a bar with a few tables, sushi bar.
Service was great, the atmosphere is casual (everyone is wearing shirts and jeans), but the place itself feels nice/a step up from casual.
The food was good, I got the rosemary chicken but oddly, I didn't see any rosemary on it. It had gravy and mashed potatoes. My friend L had the rattlesnake pasta which she said was very flavorful and the best thing she's had in Nashville.
Go try it!
Thomas Crawford
Nice food prep & selection, service was a little busy that night so, attention to our table was a bit slack. But, a worthwhile overall stop on our Nash-Vegas crawl! My Old Fashioned was way too sweet, was that one, or two sugar cubes?!
Helen Tran
I went 8/28/2018, close to midnight after going to a concert. Consider it was my 1st time eating in Nashville, the hostess was very nice and well informed. I went to the 6th floor and the waitress, was very nice and well knowledgeable. I order the salmon and it was the best I ever had! So tender and flavored! I recommend this place if not looking for live performance.
Dan Tye
For an inland place, the oysters were amazing!
Don Johnston
Dissapointed in the bartender on the top floor. After requesting to sit up there when we made our reservations we were told we could not have a table for four, because thete was only two of us. Even though the hostes took us to that table.😡
Arena Dixon
The customer service was so amazing. Our waiter was truly first class. I was there on my birthday in January.
Lauren Caylor
The drinks were delicious and my hot chicken wrap was pretty good. The atmosphere was excellent and the staff was attentive.
Rhonda Sproles
We had reservations for the 4th floor. The service and food were excellent. Beautiful view of Downtown Nashville!
Johnny Moore
It would have been more pleasant if the waitress wouldn't have gotten hateful because we needed to hurry for work.
Max Penny
Food was excellent! Dessert & Mimosas too!
Deffinently on the pricey side but worth it.
Jennifer Adams
A great place to get dinner and a drink without the insanity of Broadway but still close to it and the surrounding venus. The bottom floor is a retro diner scene with booth seating, second floor is a bar scene with a lot of tvs and the 6th floor is another bar stool setting with an extended menu with sushi and oysters. We got sushi and a frozen cocktail on 6 but spent the most time on the second floor watching football. They had tables by an open window so great for a pretty day. Food was decent a little expensive but portions were huge. Has a pretty complete drink menu so most anyone can find something. Would definitely go again.
Madison Burns
Really great food here! I got the wing and they were such a good comfort food.
Jacob Collins
We had breakfast and were able to get right in. Food was good but the view was awesome.
rick parrish
Prompt wait staff , food ordering and delivery. We were asked many times if we needed additional service. This was also a holiday weekend.
Marie Hayes
We, party of two, walked in without a reservation and was immediately seated on a night when there was a hockey game two blocks down at the Bridgestone. Service was good. Food was fresh, hot and prepared to order. I had a chicken club sandwich with fries, and my friend had a burger with fries. Everything was very good. Nice atmosphere. No complaints.
The building is 5 stories with an elevator, so it is completely handicap accessible.
Cassidy Strode
Tasty, we all enjoyed our meals and the view from one of the upper floors. The Edison bulbs across the ceiling and the open doors make for a very cool atmosphere. The dessert was also quite tasty. Would recommend
Majesti B
This dish was amazing. It was the blackened Mahi Mahi with grits and asparagus. My family and I came for spring break and this was our 2nd time we loved it! We will be back!
I also had a cali roll that was tasty.
Arnitia Goodman
The waffle is perfect! The chicken and sushi are ok. Def a great spot to see the city!
Ross Jones
Went here to grab some sushi and was very disappointed in the limited selection.
They billed the sixth floor as a seafood, oyster and sushi bar but was surprised at the lack of seafood and sushi on the menu. The best option seemed to be the role of the day which was a rainbow roll. Nothing special.
There's five other floors to this restaurant and this was the only one I tried so maybe the other floors have better offerings. Just don't come here looking for sushi.
Melissa Bullington
Sushi and oysters were amazing. Friendly staff and great views from the 6th floor.
Daniel Palkovic
Always a pleasure eating here. The food is actually phenomenal. The drinks are a bit pricey but that's sit down prices in downtown Nashville for ya.
Definitely a fun spot to eat on a date or with friends
Nickie Dunker
1st time experience before stadium show. Enjoyed the bar atmosphere on 2nd floor that played 80s music. Friendly servers. Great tasting food. Traditional American (burgers, fries, etc).
David Roddy
Good simple breakfast. Great brunch cocktails. Nice views from the 5th floor. Outstanding air conditioning !
DeCosta Hastings
Location amazing wonderful downtown skyline view and amazing food 24 hour restaurant. It is a Nashville must visit Location
Brooke Davis
Stopped in for breakfast. Ordered the California sandwich and chicken-n-waffles. The service was quick and the food was good. We left full!
Ieshia E. Butler
Food was pretty good and the service was excellent!
Kevin
Can't beat the food, atmosphere, and bartenders. A great stop before our after some time on Broadway.
Pj Ortmann
Enjoyed a great brunch here. Nice change up from the "busy" crowd on Broadway. Enjoyed the open air view of Nashville. Definitely recommend
Akinde Olagundoye
Where else can you go at 4am to get a sushi roll, burger, or rib eye steak, along with a beer and a shot of Sambuca? Or some chicken and waffles and people watching? Maybe just a coffee or a fun latte and a piece of cake. The bartenders are nice. Food is served 24hrs a day. Drinks 23hrs a day. No alcohol from 3am-4am. Not a bad deal.
Joe Sutton
Breakfast for two was very good, reasonably priced and service was great. Close to Broadway Street.
Alora Quartz
The food is good (my friend had an amazing breakfast sandwich). If you want to try some really tasty coffee this is your stop.
Christian M (cmm1003)
Great spot to go to after a night of drinking in Nashville. Bars close at 2am and people flood here. They serve alcohol close to 24 hours per day.
The food selection is great, I got the breakfast burrito on two separate nights because I enjoyed it so much the first.
The second night wasn't as good but I was also more drunk the first time, so there is that.
Staff was crazy friendly despite it being 2am.
Place has 5 floors for eating and is quite nice.
Phillip Klohr
Great views service was slow for the party, and before we were seated for the reserved room they were kind of rude
Glenn Grabbe
Great location with great views of downtown. Service was good, prompt and friendly. The mimosa drinks were really good. The chicken tenders were just ok.
KP Kilpatrick
Quieter place off the tourist drag to chill, have a meal and talk. Limited menu.
Heather Ivory
Friendly wait staff. Great food and drinks. They even sold us a bottle of hot sauce my man loved!
Linda Filizetti
Very busy popular place recommend not going after 11pm as there is a bigger menu selection
K L
The Atmosphere is fantastic! I recommend eating on the 6th floor. The food was great but the location and Atmosphere sets it apart from the other local spots. The customer service was good as well. I had the Gumbo and it was savory and delicious.
Virginia Terry
The Diner experience was alright, though I was hoping for more (based on all the hype). We ate at the 6th floor seafood and sushi restaurant. The fish tacos were average and the shrimp with the shrimp cocktail was overcooked and tough. The views were beautiful though! We will give The Diner another chance in the future, just maybe a different floor.
Robert Christiansen
Exceptional view from the sixth floor! Highly recommend! Clean, bright, prompt service for drinks and foods! Delicious menu!
Anna Andresen
Great food, amazing view and atmosphere. Vegan options in the sushi bar on the 6 th floor!
Pete Gardner
Good food and nice pleasant comfortable environment. No loud music. Good service.
William Hedgcock
Great food selection and choice of atmosphere..sit down or diner style..in style on multiple levels and views!
Emery S
Excellent oysters and sushi. Collin was great and attentive server! Nice quieter spot off Broadway.
Luis Valentin
You have to go and see this place ,it has 6 floor .and the windows are garage door and they open. And also great mac and cheese, that was not the only thing I had. And bailey the server was great.
Jaye Lenchis
Very mediocre food in a town of amazing food. Definitely not a repeat for us. We had the cheesesteak, chili, and a few sides to share. The asparagus was good but over salted. The smashed potatoes were ok but didn’t seem fresh. Not even close to worth a $60 meal. Nice staff and view
Fat Boy
This place is a must when in nashville. The food is soooo good and the staff is super friendly!!!
Summer Wood
Food is wonderful!! Waffle sliders are impeccable. Just amazing!
Claude Smoot
Woefully understaffed, is an understatement. The wings were good. Philly cheese was a bit chewy, and fries were undercooked.
Jenny Dague
Great food and staff, fun to visit more than once as we were seated on many different floors. It was right around the corner from out hotel. Big bonus my son proposed to his GF there and the kind staff to photos for them.
Greg Williams
Are on the 4th floor. Very nice vibe and good food. Waitress was very nice.
Dee
Loved! Will return!
Hospitality was on point. Didn't have to ask for a single item, every waiter/waitress frequently made rounds. Courteous, and enjoyed the view from the balcony/roof top.
Food was delicious!

Cool spot to post up before a night out in Nashville. Diner food is what it is but the coffee and pie is top notch. The staff was outstanding too. I’d do back for more coffee and pie.
Dorian Dixon
A good restaurant with good food. The omelet waffle sandwich with bacon was very feeling. I would change it up and offer it with chicken sausage instead of bacon to offer more options. I liked the concept of having multi floors for the seating arrangements for the guest.
Akaash Raja
Great location. The biscuits were just "okay" considering it's a main menu item. Nashville hot chicken isn't the best around. Good coffee and fast service
Kirsten Otken-Lemon
Service is very slow at busy times, but nice and pleasant, Food is good. Plan on being here for a while.
Jeanine Kadrie
The Diner was recommended by hotel staff for a great breakfast spot. The restaurant was busy but not packed which was great for a Saturday morning at 9am. Those without reservations are guided to 2nd floor for open seating at the bar or window counter. The staff was attentive but not overly friendly or chatty and the food came out quickly. Not an overly exciting menu but food was fresh and tasted good which is just as important as selections. The diner is a good choice for good breakfast without the fuss.
NUALA OLEARY
Seated well under the 45min wait time we were given. Meals were good - this is not a 5 star resturant. Good place to grab a drink or a meal before the game. We sat on the 1st level - a true diner feel. Only dish that I would rate 1 star would be the chicken and waffles - had no spice and it was BLAND. If you do not like heat, I would reccommend at least going for Mild. Very friendly staff & fast service.
Timothy Foley
Friendly staff, seated us immediately. Delicious food and they're dog friendly!
Aaliya Chyanne
I went in for a to go order last night and the staff was super friendly! The wings were pretty good too and the menu is extensive!
Nicole Bond
We had our wedding reception dinner here and it was amazing!! They made the whole process incredibly easy and simple! The chicken Parmesan, creole mahi-mahi, and bbq shrimp and grits were all amazing! We also choose the carrot cake which was amazing!! Special thanks to our servers Chase and Talia! They made the night go incredibly smooth and the service was spot on! Nobody ever had an empty drink which was impressive for two people and a group of 39! They were super friendly and couldn’t have made our night any more perfect!! Definitely planning to come back for our anniversary!!
Jennifer Talley-Ash
Service on the 6th floor bar was incredible! Staff works together as a team, are pleasant and very informative if it's your first visit to Nashville. Spinach dip was great as were the drinks!!
W J
Love the vibe in this place. I think if it weren’t for the pandemic this place would be wall to wall with customers! The large open windows makes the inside feel like the outside. Decent food, but a little pricey.
Christine Kelleher
Sat at the bar on the 2nd floor for Brunch.
Was okay, food good, service decent but overall nothing special.
John Barnes
Good food! Nice view of Nashville from the 5th floor dining area.
Crystal Hively (ThatsNoMo0n)
Really nice food in historic part of the city! First thing in the morning is the best time... Nice and empty!
Dan Michaels
You're paying for location. Food was ok. Atmosphere was cool.
Dusty Marshall
Atmosphere is fantastic. The food good and service is phenomenal. 10/10 will eat here again.
M Godlewski
Food was good but limited menu due to covid.
Alzona Parker
Perfect spot for college grad dinner.
Darren Scott
Just beautiful and you can kayak, bike and walk across the pedestrian only bridge.
Jarvas Thompson
Nice 6 story restaurant with bars and dining in on each floor. Great view of the downtown skyline on on the upper floor levels. Food was pretty good and prepared well. I had a great bar tender the evening and following night I visited. Great proximity to Nissan Stadium.
CHRISTOPHER KERNS
An amazing 6 storie diner! This is elegant dining experience! A fun menu! And wonderful food! Brian our waiter was excellent! Attentive and helpful! Great prices and very centrally located! A true win win win!
Cubby Things
If you're looking for a relaxed spot off of Broadway, give The Diner a try! Cold beer and an excellent basket of Nashville Hot Chicken with a killer view 👍
Alexander
Came for drinks on the 2nd level, service was great and the bartender made some really good off the menu cocktails.
Leah Carothers
This is my husband and I favorite spot to go to. Every time we go, the staff is always friendly and the food and cocktails are very very good. I love that this restaurant has multiple floors that you can be sitting at, so room is no issue at all if the restaurant is too packed and full. The cocktails and meals are not too overly priced. We love The Diner Nashville!
Anna
Our waiter was one of the best waiters we've ever had anywhere. We came from Minnesota and this gentleman was amazing to us. Chandler definitely made us want to come back next time we're in town.
The food was amazing, I had the salmon and I've never had that good of rice anywhere. 10/10!!
kelsey remondino
Such good food, service, and views! I went there with 8 other people and they were all so nice and accommodating! Food was super delicious some got breakfast and some got lunch no complaints!
victoria green
Always good amount of food, tastes good and great price. Servixe
Nick Aiken
It was my first time trying out The Diner today. I ordered the hot chicken and waffles as well as the diner scrambler. The chicken and waffles came out hot and fresh and were very filling. The diner scrambler was good as well homestyle potatoes, bacon, and biscuits were amazing. The only negative for me was my scrambled eggs being slightly undercooked. Other than that cool environment we were on the 4th floor next to the windows with lots of natural lighting. Our waiter, Chase, was really kind and attentive. Overall a great breakfast place I would come back here again in a heartbeat.
Jordan Maust
Many floors and different menus. Super fun Nashville vibe. Above average food. Great coffee. Delicious desserts.
Kristin Edwards
Nice view. Great atmosphere. I wanted a milk shake but you can only get that on the first floor. The host told us to go to the 4th floor and it didn't occur to me to say I wanted a milk shake before being seated. The server had too many tables and was having a hard time keeping up. I would go back and give it another try.
Patrick Harding
Atmosphere and location are awesome. It was a bit weird to figure out which floor to go to, but we had a great view, and the other patrons were very nice! It was crazy busy, and our orders got mixed up, but you really couldn't blame them, with how busy it was.
Chad Edwards
Great food (Mahi). Better than Hampton Social which we had the night before. Server was great.
Jason Moeller
Fun multi-level diner with cool vibe. We did brunch on the first level. Our server Taylor was fun and attentive. Our brunch came quick and was delicious. We tried 2 different flavor mimosas and they were fun. Located close to Broadway. Check it out!

Best breakfast food in Nashville! If you have an hour and are near this place, go check it out! One of the best places to eat in Nashville!
Mique Michelle
6th floor staff was epic.
Coffee was good and fresh .
It was packed!
Patty Reynolds
Food is great, a bit pricey but everything is anymore.
Suzanne heffingeR
Great food snd service….. several floors to choose from, some with a view.
Megan
6th floor great views. Only 1 bartender and server up there got pretty busy on Labor Day weekend long wait. Server did best she could and was very nice! Food was just okay. Drinks good. They blast the AC , most of the visitors including us were complaining of how cold it was
robert zenor
Good service. Fun place. Roof top bar is on point. Could have gotten a 5 star. But lost one due to the food being just okay
Marion Jackson
Service was just ok ..food and ambiance keeps it from being a 3.. pretty cool.
Carlo Cooper
Great place, it's like four or five levels of similar themed diners and I believe there's a bar up top. Food and service were great. Definitely check it out and ride the elevator to see what's happening on the other floors. We ate inside on the first floor. A fun dining experience. What else do you expect in Nashville?

Despite the crowds and the chaos of a Saturday night, the staff did their jobs flawlessly. Being a local, I can only imagine what they put up with on a nightly basis, my hat is off to them. As far as the food goes, the hot chicken and waffle was pretty good and the fries are on point. Not bad for only having one kitchen for 5 floors. If this is your pre-concert stop, be prepared and get here early.
Jason Clark
Amazing place great to have dinner and see Broadway Street while eating chicken in waffles.
Catherine B
Nashville hot chicken and waffles are super HOT but very tasty. Great cup of coffee and old time decor
Justin Smith
Food was decent and I really enjoyed the ambiance here. I love the open outdoor area on every floor. Bang bang shrimp was great, mahi was way overcooked, cheesy grits were tasty. Friends said the spicy fettuccine was really good. Service pretty slow.
Jen Briggs
All the room they had in there was great! they were able to seat many people.. The food was good but our server forgot to put our order in so we sat and watched about 5 other people that came in after us get their food before us and then I finally approached him and he didnt have anything to say but ran to the kitchen and came back within 5 minutes with our food. I would eat there again as like a 4th or 5th choice..
Destany Hope
Delicious pasta, delicious drinks, and the best bartender downtown 😍 Taylor is amazingggg! …
Symmbol Sanderlin
My cousins and I came here before a concert. It was a bit busy. The food was very good. We ordered the wings, shrimp and grits, and Creole Mahi Mahi soooooo good!!!! The drinks were great also. The bartender could’ve been a bit more attentive but I was understanding he was super busy. Overall I would return
Sarah M
Good food, wonderful atmosphere, GREAT drinks, but the waitstaff is what really made this rating go from a 5 to a 3. My SO and I were there not even 15 minutes yet and our waiter asked us four different times if we were ready to order. We felt extremely rushed! Not only that, but we were shot ugly glares the entire hour (that's right, only an hour!) that we dined there and took up a seat. He basically threw the check down at the end of our dinner too as if to say "thank god you're FINALLY done". Wish I got this waiters name, as I'm sure his actions do not properly represent this establishment and what they stand for.
Jason Winstel
Very nice restaurant! Great vibe n bar area upstairs! Desserts n shakes are amazing!
Scooby Doo
Where else can you go downtown Nashville at 2 am and have 7 floors of kitchen and dining experience. Sushi, steak, burgers, chicken... C'mon...
Dave B1
We got the creole mahi mahi, boom boom shrimp and smashed potatoes.
The mahi was very fishy, suspect frozen not fresh. It was dry, the grits were awesome the asparagus was good, the sauce was excellent. The boom boom shrimp were great! Was it worth $50, more like 30-35 but its tourists pricing and everything is more expensive.
Would recommend, but not necessarily the fish, we are of course land locked so fresh might not be available.
Meghan Elmore
Filet was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Asparagus was ok, but a little heavily seasoned on the tips. Fun atmosphere. Slower service but you can certainly tell they are hustling and doing their best. Fun atmosphere with the different food on different floors. Would definitely recommend.
S. Robinson
Good food and courteous server.
Michelle
Clean, friendly and welcoming staff! Big food portions. Very good ham and cheese omelet.
Abby L.
Stumbled upon this nice establishment by accident as my children were starving and couldn't walk any further. Kids had the tempura shrimp rolls, which was satisfying to them. They enjoyed the milkshakes as well. We had the salad with the fried chicken and we would totally come back for that! Not just that the food was surprisingly good, the waiter Gavin and other staff members were also super friendly. I'd visit Nashville for this joint for sure!
Felicia Smith
Burger was okay. May have been overcooked a bit but otherwise not horrible. Drinks were made well. Service was good.
Tom Rainey
I've had multiple experiences here and enjoy the look and feel of the place. The location is also super convenient for people staying downtown that want to step away from the party on Broad and be able to have a conversation during their meal. Beyond that, as long as you have reasonable expectations for your food and service, you'll enjoy the visit, because while it is above average, I would hesitate to suggest that it was an elite experience. Side Note: The setting is great for dates and business dinners.
Katie Gillmore
Nothing special with average food at decent prices. You can find better in the area.
Richard Kingston
Nice enough, good was cold and never got the biscuits I asked for😔 …
Karen Galuszek
Hot food. Tasted great. Nice atmosphere
Aiden Dumlao
Did not tell us what the kitchen was out of until after we ordered. Forced to reorder.
Carolyn Burton
Very nice looking place. Service was great. We ordered kids meals for all 4 of us. 2 cheeseburger wh fries and 2 chicken tenders wh fries. One of the burgers wasn't cooked all the way. The server apologized, and took one meal off total. She had kitchen make burger again cooked right. Cozy place. Good for family dinners or date night! Please go experience this place!!!
Lorraine Tajii - Nakamura
This was a nice place to eat an early breakfast. The service was nice and the atmosphere was beautiful!
Erin Keys
Great tasting food and a beautiful view of the city if you dine in on the 6th floor. Also seves alcohol.
Aubrey Kruger
very cute brunch place, decent selection of food and it was good. Kind Staff as well.
Tracy Cornett

Carmen Arif

Dean Laforgia
Trendy restaurant with Friendly service, good food with a great view of the city.
Matt Lead
Very good food, but little pricey and there will be a wait.
Amanda Rau
Love The Diner! We eat there every time we are in Nashville. The shrimp and grits are delicious! If you have room for dessert, get the chocolate Lava cake. Yummy! And, make reservations! The Diner is always packed!
Bob D
The food is good and the service was excellent.
Derek Grubb
First time for my wife and I at The Diner and we couldn't have had a better experience. The food was delicious (Nashville Hot chicken and buscuits!) and the service was second to none thanks to our server Harold! I highly recommend this to anyone who finds themselves in Nashville!!!
M Miller
The menu was rather limited but the view was amazing! My friend and I went on the perfect night. They had a table open on the top floor right next to the railing. There was a light breeze blowing to cool us off, too. Definitely recommend for the experience alone!
JanisHolton
Don't miss the sushi/seafood bar on the 6th floor (each floor is a different experience) - the view of Nashville while eating (especially during sunset) is as stunning as the food and service.
jason stich
Waited 20 minutes to finally get or order taken as we watched the server talking with fellow worker and never worried about the customers.
Reggie Fenton
Great food. Amazing service. Definitely hit the 6th floor, view is great. Coffee downstairs ❤️❤️
Marina Banasek Radman
Always a great experience..thanks Gavin for your great service and conversation!
Andrew MacDanel
The view from the 6th floor is awesome. Brunch was very tasty and staff was friendly and courteous.
Katrina Schubert
Could hear the traffic outside as the fire department went by with there sirens on. Very loud even on the fifth floor but other than that they had some of the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had and the fries dipped in the gravy was the best. Great service and nice, clean place.
Vlad Betancur
The reservation was super easy, the food, and the service were outstanding. Zach did a great job explaining the menu and making our drinks. The views are nice. Didn't have enough space for dessert, buy definitely having some next time.
Love this place.
Little Bear
Nashville Cheesteak was pretty good. View on 6th floor was Great! Service was Awesome!
JaNeisha M
Seated right away. We were in the 4th floor so we got the perfect view of downtown. The coffee I ordered wasn't served fresh and the food was ok but the staff was friendly and accommodating. We had Baily as a server. She was sweet and prompt.
Amanda W
We sat on the 6th floor. Only floor available for brunch i guess? Limited menu but we were able to find something we liked. Gravy and biscuits were my favorite. Also alot of brunch drink options.
robroi keelean
Jasmine is the bomb bartender! She made sure we were taken care of awesomeness all the way around. Recommend highly.
Randy Simmons
Large portions. Good good food.
Carrie Fabrizio
What a wonderful restaurant. The food was fantastic. The staff was fantastic. The drinks were fantastic. We had a wonderful meal and had a great time!
corrice thompson
Food was pretty good. Waiter was nice. Had the Chicken and Waffles.
Natalie Isom
Food was good, but not amazing. Service was excellent. We loved our waitress, Trista. Fun part of town.
Anthony Camacho
Service was great and their appetizer of spinach dip was bomb!!! Plus they had a happy hour special of buy one drink (anything on the menu) get the 2nd for FREE!!
Brooke
Less than friendly with a lot of sass. Food was just ok and too spicy. Nice views, uncomfortable seats, furniture is worn. Carrot cake was very good.
Chris E
The spicy nashville hot chicken and waffles is spicier than I thought.
Deborah Binstock
Cute diner decor. Service was good. Food was good.
Rick Brooks
We stopped in for a late lunch. The service was very good! The spinich dip was one of the best I've ever had, and the serving was very generous...too.much for two! The Nashville Phillys were also very good. They had a nice selection of desserts available. Would go there again!
Christopher Cash
This place is a great place to visit when in Nashville. The 6 stories are all places to eat at eith great views of downtown. We ate here twice on our visit and would definitely make it a stopping point on future visits to Nashville.
Nicole Agnew
I came to the Diner on Oct. 27, 2020. My mom and I came to visit Nashville from Chicago. When we first came to the Diner we wanted to order breakfast but it was too late. So later on that day we came and ordered dinner. I ordered a cheeseburger with french fries. My mom ordered a salad with chicken. It took a little while before our food was ready but it was worth the wait. My burger and fries were good and my mom enjoyed her salad. The atmosphere was nice and had a Southern feel to it. Two days later I came back to get some green tea and a slice of Pecan pie. The tea was good and hot and the Pecan pie was heavenly!!! I definitely would recommend this place you won't be disappointed!!
Jany Walsh
Great service. Good coffee. Good food
Amber C
Food was adequate. Kind of cool by the time the waiter brought it to the table. I think the view is what you're really paying for here.
Judy Quick
I got the waffle sliders it is it was too large waffles made up like a sandwich with omelet bacon and cheese Cut in half with home fries it was very good and then they have mamosas and they were wonderful. There are 6 different levels of eateries
John Hendershot
Stopped in for coffee but will definitely be back. Great menu and open for breakfast. Very clean and great service.
James Lajeunesse
We had a nice table up high on the 6th floor with a view of the churn of the crowds below walking on Broadway. This was well above the noise of blaring music, which often renders it impossible to talk at a table for two much less even think. We enjoyed the Boom Boom Spicy Shrimp and Spinach Dip for starters along with a bottle of Merlot. I really enjoyed the Pan Seared Scottish Salmon for a main entré. Very good! 😋
Jere King
Love to sit in the 6th floor bar. The view is always fantastic. Food is good and the service is extremely good. The desserts look yummy. Drinks were tasty!
ant knight
Awesome. All the foods were top notch. Service was great. Price was a bit much but we got what we paid for and more.
Chris 5150
Good diner. Multiple floors so it was very quick to get a table. Great place for breakfast or snack
Lisann Beck
Great fun food. Terrific options for seating. Different floors offering unique food options. Great for people watching from all floors.
Jen Krost Adolph
Harold the waiter is THE BEST! Recommended medium hot chicken and biscuits with a side of gravy. We gonna be dreaming about that meal for a LONG time! Classy joint!
Cindy Slovak
The bartenders were friendly and accommodating. The drinks were great and the bartender was willing to make a frap even though it wasn't on their menu. Pretty awesome job on it too. Definitely a good place to shoot the breeze and get some info on what's happening around Nashville.
Call of Foodie
Best chicken and waffles in the Broadway area, sweeter waffle with a spicier side of chicken.
I passed the Nashville sauce because the portion is three strips and that seemed destined to be too much heat.
Showed up at midnight or so, sat on the 5th floor with great view of the city.
Little pricy but was good.
Spencer Rollins
Not a whole lot to say. Always delicious, great service and atmosphere. Top recommendation for friends and family to try out. It's not cheap food you but won't leave hungry! Parking isn't really a thing unless you pay but still worth getting to regardless.
Karen Amos
As someone who’s had many brunches in Nashville, this place is not worth the pretty penny for brunch. So many other places here do brunch 1000x better for the same price or cheaper. For a ham, egg, and cheese omelet, it was $15. Service is slow. Food was okay.
I’d come again at night and try the 6th floor, but all the reviews that are 5 star I guarantee are 90% tourists.
Not worth it for brunch.
Andrea Cantu
The food and service was great! Nashville chicken and waffles 😋 …
Amanda Starr
Ate the Rattlesnake Pasta! It was the perfect amount of spice with thin sliced chicken and peppers. I completed my meal with a made in house Peanut Butter Chocolate Milkshake!
Jenn Lake
First time eating here. It was ok. We had the Nashville cheesesteak and the southern salad with hot chicken. The chicken on the salad was overcooked. The cheesesteak was average. The service was excellent initially but then it got really busy and the service slowed down a bit. I probably wouldn't eat there for dinner again but I would try their desserts or shakes on the first level.
Ricardo Mendez
Exceptional customer service! They helped me charge my phone!
Brandy L. Wright
Dining open air 6 stories up right next to the edge was a unique experience in and of itself! Add perfectly cooked Mahi, sauce and seasoning flavors that tantalized and a bartender/waiter with experience, flare, and a kindness about him and we were simply delighted with the entire experience! The cheese steak and fries were both note worthy as well.
Arturo C.
Great views and they open till late
Owen Kennedy
Definitely get the chili when you go. The first floor has the best menu and vibe.
Becky Smith
With 6 floors there was no wait for a table. The garage door style open windows was a nice feature. Food mediocre at best
D G
Great menu, excellent food, friendly wait staff.
David Hardy
The food is good and comes out quickly despite it being busy. The multiple levels is cool, I guess, but the level you get determines what you can order. I like draft beer but they sat us on level 4 and draft is only available on 2 and 6. The service was good considering how busy they were, but she was not able to process a Visa gift card. Went to the Arena right after and used it no problem so not sure why she couldn't process it.
Edison Coronado
Good place to have breakfast in the downtown area of Nashville. The place can be a little crowded. We had to go all the way up to the 6th floor where they have a bar and a Sushi bar. Good customer service. Great view.
deborah flowers
A nice Diner. We had a variety of food. Plates were cleaned. So everything was good. The mimosas were very good. Strong for early morning but very good. I would go back, if ever in Nashville again.
Mary Rodriguez
Great food great service. Loved it!
