One of the most authentic mexican places you will find in town . Huge portion size reasonably priced and delicious and tasty food . You cannot ask for more . We got the tamales 🫔, horchata drink , a couple of spicy pork and pollo tacos , tostada ceviche along with some liver and onions. Came with fresh tortillas and beans and rice. They are short of staff so u wont find tables being clean immediately but i believe that is fine as long as they do it when you are seated at a table. Highly recommend this place.

Tacos are my fav, and this is my favorite taco spot in Nashville. Everything on the menu is consistently delicious, but my favorites are the pastor and chorizo tacos (photos in this post), gorditas, chorizo quesadillas, and the shrimp ceviche (photos in the post), which is very fresh. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. Long live Lopez!

My boyfriend and I recently stopped in Nashville on a road trip and it was my turn to pick dinner— this was the best meal we’ve had in a long time!! This place is an authentic Mexican food hole-in-the-Wall. You have 7-8 choices of meats (pastor, lengua, barbacoa, asada, etc) on whatever food item you want. The tacos and quesadillas were EXCELLENT. Moreover, the salsas served with each plate are also delicious! Overall, a very affordable meal with a ton of flavor packed in. Highly recommended for a quick bite in Nashville!

It's a small place where you can find something quick to eat. We're served fast and had a group of 10+ people. Service was fast and staff were nice. Very convenient that they're opened until midnight. We're satisfied with the food. The carnitas tacos tasted a little better. The carne asada was good as well. The meat was soft and tasty.

Only place I've ever been to that gives you enough tortillas for your dinner. Food was delicious. Restaurant was clean. Staff following covid precautions. Everyone was wearing masks. My only complaint is they started mopping the floors about 5 minutes after they delivered our food. The smell from the cleaning solution overpowered the food, but I understand and appreciate the sanitation. The horchata was delicious.

This little place is not very visual when your driving by it unless you know it's there, but if you do see it you have to stop by and try it out. The food and drinks are just soooooo good!

Authentic Mexican fare made fresh to order. Last time I saw tacos served like they have on the menu was in Acapulco, Mexico. The athmosphere is very basic - looks like a 1970's style diner, including the chairs and booths. The exterior is not much to attract those looking for fine-dining, either. But the flavors, service and prices more than makes up for the lack a elligence. The barbeque is especially recommended for those who enjoy a good zest.

First time trying tacos. I had the spicy pork tacos and the vegetables were so fresh it seemed they just got it off the farm. Also the the lime half that was offered was a perfect compliment. I also had a hamburger with fries and the buns were soft and decadent, burger and just the right flavor and the fries were fried perfectly. The meal took about 15 minutes to arrive after I ordered and the waitresses we're courteous and engaging. I will definitely be going back there

I visited 2 times during by business trip and it was very good Mexican food, it's kind of difficult to get real Mexican food, most of the time due to the ingredients not easy to find, but this place serves almost real Mexican food (I can say this because I live in Mexico) 👌

So this place was actually very good, super authentic Mexican food, the only thing that I did not like was it a very limited choice of drinks and the waitstaff seem to not be too attentive but all in all I will suggest to anyone and I will go back. Be careful this place is in a rough area of Nashville there is a lot of homeless people, a lot of strange people as soon as you walk out you will be asked for money you will be asked for food and some of the people get very aggressive about it. Try to park somewhere near window where you can keep an eye on your vehicle the entire time.

The amount of food was way more than what I expected bc it wasn’t very expensive. They quality, the seasoning, the sauces were so delicious. We’re moving from Seattle to Orlando and driving across the country. We got into Nashville around 9pm and strangely a lot of places are closed which I found weird for somewhere like here. We found this restaurant though and the food is awesome!! Got fish tacos and a quesadilla, the best I’ve ever had!! Such a great job and it was fast. Highly recommend.

Excellent, authentic Mexican food. Every single bite was absolutely delicious. I had 2 tacos (pastor, lengua) 1 Green tamale, 1 Mulita (Pollo), and 1 Gordita (pastor). I just wanted to sample multiple different items from their menu. I didn't have a single bite that wasn't absolutely delicious. Will definitely return for more soon.

Love this place! The menu is stripped down the bare essentials, but if you want cheap, awesome tacos, this is the place to eat. They also make fresh hot sauce everyday, so be sure to try it. Tacos are $1.50 apiece, and they regularly have daily specials. If they are offering pork chops, be sure to try them. They are perfectly seasoned and have a beautiful crust on them.

This is the most authentic Mexican food in Nashville, especially with seafood because I rarely eat meat. My Son and I was in the area and had the fish tacos with fried flour tortillas and it was on fire. They speak mostly Spanish but the food quality is excellent.

Left Nashville in 2007. Came back in 2019 and it was still just as I remembered. Consistency and flavor. Love this place. I have to literally pace myself on how often I eat here 🤦🏾‍♂️. I’m from the the Caribbean so my go tos are the tripe and tongue tacos, pollo entero and tostadas mixtas. I simply inhale my meal and I’m probably missing 50% of the flavor if only I were to take the time to chew. I’m 46 years old and the first time I saw a Chinese person eating/getting food at a restaurant other than a Chinese restaurant was at this place...lol, that’s saying something. Please consider getting a mobile truck and cruising neighborhoods like the ice cream truck 🤷🏾‍♂️

You MUST try their street tacos! Lengua, chorizo and steak are my favorites. Served properly with a grilled pablano ( ?) pepper and sauteed onions with fresh cilantro. Buy a pile of them for $20. Beware the red sauce 🔥 The green has a range of mild heat so approach with caution.

To improve the ratings, I suggest that the servers (girls) take some customer service training classes. Over all the food quality is very good and the cooks are fast. This could of easily been a 5 start rating if the servers were more friendly.

They have a super friendly and cozy environment! The food portions were way better than expected for the price. Staff was friendly and attentive. They have TVs and music too. There's also a gumball nachine and they serve half liter glass bottle coca cola!

This is hands down the best Mexican food in Nashville! Not scamingly over priced items either. You can still get an amazing authentic taco with LOTS of meat for 1.50! Trust me the others try, but ask them if they have Tamales or Horchata! The answer is always no, and are usually ran by a different culture using the word Mexican, in their name with lousy food!

One of the best & authentic Mexican restaurant in Nashville. Nothing fancy. Just great food. I guess you can call Lopez 2 a little Mexican "greasy spoon". The servers are amazing! The food is your typical mexican food. I am giving it a 3 because there's is a huge problem with the attitude of the cooks ( Who you can actually see and hear from the guest tables) everytime the client makes a special request to something in the menu the cooks let the servers have it!!! I mean yelling and using profanity that the clients can actually hear. The servers will even tell you not to make changes because the cooks get mad. I personally used to go there often because it was conveniently located close to my work place and stopped going due to this matter. I contacted the owner to express my concern as a loyal client and never got a response from him. Besides this issue, if you go there you'll get typical food, friendly servers, small portions of an unchangeable menu in a small (kind of moms and pops environment) so don't expect the chips and salsa/queso and fancy mexican food.

LOOOOVE this place! Interior is cozy, and even if there's a lot of people it's generally quiet. Food is fresh and hot!! The tacos are too die for, especially with carnitas. These are authentic tacos with corn tortillas, onion, and cilantro! Each taco is 1.50 each and comes with radishes, cucumber, and a pepper. If you're ordering, be considerate of the waitresses and use your best basic Spanish--they really appreciate it. For the reviewer below being upset about the waitress struggling with English: to discount this place because the staff speaks primarily Spanish is absolutely ignorant. It's authentic Hispanic food made by Hispanic people in the part of Nashville with a huge Hispanic population--of course they're going to speak Spanish! This place is amazing, the service and food are quick, and it has delicious food. Definitely worth a trip!!

I visit this place at least twice a week. The Pork Carnitas are my favorite. I Love the fact that they are authentic and served with radish, fried onions, and a pepper. I also like how they have the daily special which is also an authentic dish that you won't see at traditional Mexican restaurants. The only thing missing is Cerveza. The tacos come with radishes, which is interesting and very good. This is the type of restaurant where you walk in and only see Hispanic families and the TV shows soccer in Spanish. Unfortunately, the waitress spoke to me in English even though I spoke to her in Spanish. I know my Spanish is not perfect but I go to Mexican restaurants all the time and most of the time the waiters speak to me in Spanish. Sometimes it was difficult to get the waitress to come to our table. That being said, the food was really good and the price was very reasonable. (Original) Comí en este restaurante hoy y estoy seguro de que volveré. Ordené 5 tacos: 1 de pollo, 2 de carne asada, y 2 de carnitas. Fue deliciosisimo y me pareció muy auténtico. Los tacos vienen con rábanos, que es interesante y muy bueno. Este es el tipo de restaurante donde se ingresa y solo se ven familias hispanas y la televisión muestra fútbol en español. Desafortunadamente, la mesera me habló en inglés aunque le hablé en español. Sé que mi español no es perfecto pero voy a restaurantes mexicanos todo el tiempo y la mayoría de las veces los meseros me hablan en español.
