Quite possibly the best tacos I've ever had. After spending $22 on Broadway for 3 okay tacos I set out to find a better taco place, and thw i found this place the next day and spent only $13 on 6 tacos and a drink. I even went back to order two more after my first four. With the option of small or large you can easily have a great lunch for little money.

Fast and fresh Mexican fare. The staff is lovely, and the food is delicious. My wife and I have come here several times and then go to the international market next door. We’ve always had a very pleasant and tasty experience.

The food here is legit . A small little simple space for authentic mexican food. We ordered the gorditas , sopes , tamale and the chicken taco along with some fresh horchata and some delicious guac and tostadas. The service was a little slow but the food was worth the wait and made up for everything. This aint your fancy Mexican place to take your friends and family to . But if you are a food lover and love authenticity, this should be your go to place . Highly recommended!!

This place used to be a gas station but now is an amazing Mexican joint. Our server was the perfect balance of efficient, kind, and attentive without being overwhelmingly so. I was with my "buffet friend" haha so we ordered a bunch of little things and everything came out timed well and delicious. Yes, you might have to Google the names of some dishes, but please for the love of delicious food, get something you've never had before. Those are the best kinds of adventures. We had guacamole, which was the most perfect balance of ingredients. That citrus hit perfectly! We also had pico, which wasn't my favorite pico, but you cannot win them all. I got the pulpo enamorado, which was the dish we've never had before, and it was this amazing octopus seafood salad type dish that was delicious on crackers or the tostadas. We also sampled a gordita, a few tacos, and a tamale. Everything was great. You should really go forth and adventure here! Bonus is that there are international markets across the street to keep on adventuring!

Amazing tacos. We all enjoyed everything we ordered (mostly different kinds of tacos and one quesadilla). I especially liked the al pastor and barbacoa. We were served at our table and paid up front after the meal. Venue is a small place that kind of looks like a gas station from the outside.

The whole chicken here has kept me alive before and thru the pandemic. The beans are delicious, so are the rice and roasted peppers and onions. The tortillas are sometimes so hot 🔥🔥 you can't pick the foil package up, and always fresh. Love this place!

Good price for mediocre tacos. El pastor over cooked, carne has no flavor. Hot sauce isn’t even hot the verde is actually hotter than the rest but still no flavor no spice over cooked small tacos. La taqueria Santa Anita #2 blows them out of the water. I am Disappointed to say the least will not be back

Stopped by here after shopping at the Fresh & Fresh next door. Ordered a carne asada burrito because another review said it was the best they've ever had. While it was good (aside from the wilted lettuce they threw in there), it's far from the best ever. Still, I was very happy, especially with the salsas they give you. Next time, I'm getting extra salsa.

Excellent tacos, mariscos, and pozole! The pozole is only available on Saturdays and Sundays. Nice portions, very tender meat, flavorful. A little more oily than my family makes it but very rich and delicious!

This place is AMAZING!! This place serves the best tamales. They taste homemade and they take the effort to make good tamales unlike other restaurants. The “Gorditas” and “Quesobirria” are awesome too. Props to this place for being open on the 24 of December. The employees are also really nice. Go check this place out, its incredible!

I usually order their tacos, they are so good. But the key to their tastiness is the salsa made in house. I don't know how they made the salsa but honestly I mainly for there for the salsa.

Ample parking space which I like. The food is great. I usually get 8 tacos (4 al pastor, 2 bistek, and 2 chicharron, which are pork, steak, and marinated pork rinds respectively ), and horchata which is a cinnamon rice drink. My son had his first taco de lengua here (tongue). He said he liked it, beefy taste. And there is an international market across the way you can check out after you finished. I like it here because there is more parking space and more spacious inside and less busy compared to the other taquerias. You can tell the restaurant used to be a gas station.

This place is awesome! I randomly went there for lunch today because I wanted to support local small businesses and to my surprise this place is a real hidden gem. Everyone there was really nice and welcoming. The place is really clean. The shrimp tacos and fajitas were amazing. I can’t believe how inexpensive their prices were. For all the food I got I totally expected to pay more. I definitely will be eating lunch their more in the future.

This place doesn't have curb appeal but wow the food is amazing! Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. It is authentic and really budget friendly. I highly recommend if you are in the area. Way better than any of those overpriced hipster Mexican restaurants downtown.

Hands down best tacos in Nashville! Super authentic down to earth place. Don’t be thrown off by the fact that it looks like an old gas station. I was skeptical at first, but after the first time try their tacos I was hooked! If ur looking for something authentic and out of the norm try this place. I can’t speak for anything else on the menu since I hvnt tried them, but their tacos are legit!

I've been here twice. The pastor and chorizo tacos are absolutely wonderful. One of the best spots in Nashville to grab a bite to eat; in fact, I went there once for lunch and once for dinner at what would be normally considered peak times, but it wasn't busy at all. Highly recommend.

Very good authentic Mexican food. I had the carnitas tacos and tamales and it was delicious. Small taco for sure (like Bar Taco size tacos). I've been searching for tamales for awhile, so I'm glad I finally found a place. I'll be back for more of this delicious food. The service was fast for a Saturday at 2pm. Only 3 other tables and one server. Parking is around the area. I parked behind. Everything is in Spanish so know something before you go in at least. Server spoke some English but enough to get through. They take credit card. Server came to the table to get credit cards.

This is the first time I've ever given out 5 stars to a Mexican Restaurant in Nashville. My carne asada tacos with avocado were simply sublime. They served them with some pickled onions and a couple of sauces. I can't wait to return with friends. I'm saying it, I've done the research. Best Taco in Nashville, period.

I didn't expect to come to Nashville and have the most authentic tacos north of the border. I've been to Mexico and all over the southern US, but I can confidently say these measure up to ANY street taco you will find in Mexico. Sean Brock, chef at Husk, called these the best tacos he's ever had and I don't disagree.

Great value on a lot of delicious and authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend the Ensalada de Pollo with pickled onions on the side. You can eat inside or pickup for quick takeout for the family. Portions are well sized. Don't forget to ask for their green and red hot sauces. Amazing!

It's a good restaurant. It's not bad that's for sure. The food is a bit pricey. And I don't say that lightly. The people there are really nice and the restaurant itself is kinda small but it has a feel of an authentic Mexican restaurant. One thing I'd recommend if you were to eat here is to make sure you know exactly what your getting because Mexican restaurants tend to give more on the side and if you're unlucky they won't even note in on the menu. Furthermore, there's not too much of choices to choose from but what there is is something you would typically expect from a small restaurant like this. Over all, I'd recommend eating here just make sure you consider your choices first.

El a Amigo BY FAR, HANDS DOWN, has THE GREATEST TACOS in all of Nashville. I have had every single taco they sell and my personal favorites are the chicken, the barbacoa and the pastor tacos. Something about their chicken is just so superior to every single taco truck in Antioch. They also have these incredible habanero pickled onions that they bring out as an appetizer and HOLY HECK they have me praising the spicy devil himself, they certainly activate your tastes buds to prepare you for every other beautiful thing you choose to put in your mouth after it. I seriously can not sing the praises of El Amigo more, it’s an emotional experience that is incredibly affordable and worth so much more. 10000/10 do yourself a favor and go experience El Amgio!!

This restaurant not only has the best tacos I've ever had, but possibly the best food I've ever had. If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be tacos from here. The hot sauce is also incredible. And the price! I can get a full delicious meal for me and my family here for less than $20. This is a 10/10 restaurant. I'll never go to Taco Bell again.
