The inside is beautiful. Our waitress disappeared a few times but was very nice. The cook didn't want to correct an order, but did after we explained the issue with the menu confusion. The food and drinks were delicious 😋

Our server was also the bartender and often just yelled over to our tables instead of coming over to us. The vegan options are just dumbed down versions of the originals. Don't order the house margarita! The tequila they use is beyond bottom rail! Definitely overpriced for underwhelming food and service.

This place was amazing! The service was superb and everything tasted sooooo goooood!!! They accidentally gave me the wrong taco and when I told them they fixed it within minutes and were so apologetic and kind! Would 1000% eat here again! Also BEST strawberry margarita I’ve ever had in my life!

This is a good taco place. For the price, I think it’s OK, but there are cheaper and better taco places in Nashville. You do pay for the ambience for sure. The chips and guac was good. Fresh tasting, and the chips were thicker than normal tortilla chips so they didn’t break as easily. Their Baja fish taco was tasty and light, but the star for me was the Korean bbq taco. Exactly what I expected and was great. It could’ve used a bit more sauce, but still really tasty. I wish the tacos themselves were a bit bigger! Overall a good experience, but I do suggest exploring other options in Nashville if you are looking for good tacos for a better price.

Great find. Excellent tacos, nachos and margaritas. Food has a Nashville twist with Sloppy Joe flavor to ground beef. Korean bbq and jerked chicken tacos were awesome. Fabulous margs and local brewed beer. Comfortable, casual and friendly staff

I've never had a bad experience with any of their restaurants! Food is always fantastic and this new location is awesome! Germantown gained a great one. Definitely worth a visit.

My new FAV taco spot located in Edgehill. The menu is a fusion of Mexican flavors and Southern ingredients like beef brisket and braised pork. Thai, Jamaican and Greek influenced tacos also make an appearance on the menu. Also note, the tacos are bigger than those of most competitors in town so the $9.99 lunch special (2 tacos and a side) will more than satisfy most appetities. On my last visit, I had the Sloppy Joe and Shrimp Po'Boy tacos. Both tacos were packed with an interesting combination of flavors leaving me with an unforgettable dining experience considering that it was just tacos, but they weren't JUST tacos! Must try taco(s): Sloppy Joe Want to try tacos: Black Bean, Korean BBQ, and Oy Vey. Pls like if this was helpful

I wish I remembered our servers name. She had a fade haircut and she was very funny and made great suggestions on the menu. The Cadillac was just what I needed. I'm definitely coming back.

Had the sloppy joe taco and hot chicken taco. I followed it up with the passion fruit sangria. Everything was wonderful. It's a beautiful place with a nice outdoor space. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

This is my favorite Nashville restaurant so far. There are so many delicious taco options that are very creative. We also ordered the chips and queso which were very tasty as well. Finally, their margaritas did not disappoint. There was a bit of a wait, but they had an online texting system so we could simply walk around the nearby stores and walk over when we got a text that our table was ready. The environment was super eclectic and fun, service was friendly and highly recommend.

Wow, wandered in here after hearing the wait at Barcelona and was so glad we did! There was a wait here too but bar seats opened up and they serve full menu there. I'm not usually a fan of flour tacos but these were awesome. The Memphis was my favorite followed by there double taco. Wednesday is 2 for 1 margaritas and their house margarita was one of the best! Service was very good all around and food comes out super fast. They have a huge menu so can't wait to come back and try more dishes.

Great location for tacos and fun drinks. We got the loaded nachos to start. A solid choice! Wednesdays are two-for-one margaritas, and everyday is $10 for two tacos and a side. FYI The tacos are large compared to most street tacos. Will be back!

AMAZING tacos. Get the appetizer sampler, you get all three of the best dipping sauces. Best place for lunch! The royal taco and the baja fish were out of this world. Would recommend this place and definitely will be back.

The food here is quite tasty, but modern, so if that’s not your flavor this might not be your place. The wait can get pretty long too, making a reservation or at least calling ahead is a wise choice. Beware of that guacamole, it’s great but the portion size is deceptively small.

Taco-bout a great place! I am a frequent visitor of Taco Mamacita and I have never had anything less than an amazing experience. The food is always absolutely perfect, quick to the table and crazy affordable! The staff are friendly and helpful no matter the day or time. Even at their busiest times, they are courteous and accommodating. I am happy to see the hot chicken taco is now a permanent item! It's incredible. Definitely also recommend trying the queso, street corn and the Korean taco. They even went off menu and made a cheese quesadilla for my girlfriend without hesitation. Truly a great place from top to bottom. You'll love the amazing staff, delicious food and fun environment!

Dined at Taco Mamacita with my daughter and was quite impressed. I would recommend weekend dining here as you also have the ability to select from the Weekend Brunch menu where my favorite is available. So for an appetizer we went with the Chips Con Queso, your standard smooth traditional white cheese sauce with a slight zing if you got a piece of jalapeno. Personally…a bit more jalapeno would be nice. Now on to the taco’s!!! My daughter went with the Sloppy Jose Taco which is basically a Sloppy Joe on a taco…they totally disappeared. She selected a side of the Mexican Street Corn…MUST ORDER…on the cob…Delicious!!! I went with a 3-taco sampler without a side. So in order of last to first…here are my opinions: #3 Steakhouse Taco with beef brisket topped with horsey sauce, chopped green onions, Bourbon BBQ sauce and onion rings. The initial bite from this one was overpowering with the horsey sauce but once you got past the initial hit the flavors were good. #2 The Loaded Gyro with lamb, lettuce, Baja white sauce, cucumber, Pico de Gallo, and feta cheese was a cacophony of great flavors, but was missing maybe a spicy version of a Tzatziki sauce versus the Baja white sauce? Just seemed to be missing the final "zing" to really make this taco exceptional. And no...I don't want or expect it to imitate a traditional gyro. #1 My absolute favorite was the Chorizo & Potato Breakfast Taco…INCREDIBLE!!! I’ve enjoyed many breakfast taco’s in my life…this was probably in the Top Five of those I’ve ever had…ranking up there with homemade ones I've enjoyed in Texas. The combination of egg, chorizo, roasted new potatoes, Pico de Gallo, homemade red chili sauce and melted Queso was spot on. I found the chorizo sausage was delicious with the sausage red oils coating everything…YUM! Instead of scrambled eggs, they medium fried an egg until the yolk was solid/soft and sliced it in half into the taco…WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! The flavors of the egg yolk (not runny) with everything made for a very different taco. I did get the red chili sauce on the side as I wanted to experience the flavors without the sauce masking everything. The service we received from Madison was excellent…she took great care of us. I can’t wait to visit this place again but I am a bit worried if I go on a weekend as I might only get the breakfast taco’s {sigh}. Note that parking (free) is not easy but there is a pay lot across the street.

Many creative tacos to choose from, and the best part is that you can have your taco as a salad rather than the Taco shell. I had the Oy Vey Taco salad. Good flavors, especially the brisket. A little heavy on the cream sauces, it overpowered the lettuce. By the end, the last of the salad had pretty much drowned, so I wasn't able to finish it.

Great taco place with plenty of beer and drink choices! Staff is super friendly and nice and food is amazing. Wide variety of options, especially for the tacos, they are fantastic. Might seem a little pricey at first, but they are worth the cost.

Huge portions of decent street tacos. They have a brunch menu. Crowded on weekends. Parking is a pay lot unless you're lucky to get a street space. Staff very friendly. Margaritas are on the strong side.

The food is really great and they have a wide variety of tacos to choose from. They also have things that aren’t tacos on the menus if tacos aren’t your thing. They’re drink menu is pretty great and everything arrived in a timely manner. The aesthetic is pretty cool and the wait times weren’t awful seeing as they are often pretty busy.

Went here this weekend during a bachelorette party dinner. This was probably the best tacos I have ever had. I had the California Club taco and the Loaded Gyro taco, with a side of Mexican street corn. The tacos were so flavorful and delicious! The corn was very creamy. Their salsa was hot and spicy, which I loved and their queso was yum as well. The bride in our part wanted fajitas and they do not offer it on the menu, so the chef came out and prepared her a meal similar to fajitas. Our waiter was pretty nice and friendly. My only complaint is that it was small portions of food for the money we spent. They also had some pretty cool decorative lighting (shown in one of my pictures)

This place has a great menu and friendly staff. Outdoor seating was nice and place was clean. Had a separate vegan menu which was fantastic. The mojito was fantastic, my wife's a huge fan of them now. The rice was a little bland, but the rest of the food was good. ESPECIALLY the plantains! My wife said she didn't like plantains. But then she tried these and it changed her life!

My boyfriend and I have always loved this place, but typically just do pickup orders. Tonight we decided to get out of the house and dine-in and everything was perfect! Shannon was our server and she was super attentive and helpful in answering my questions regarding some of the drinks they have on the menu. Food was also great and came out in an efficient time! I wanted them to cater a gathering because their food is amazing, but he said they are still working on their catering service and as much as he wanted to do it, he didn’t think they were the best ones for it right now! He was very apologetic and I know it was tough for him to do, but I so very much appreciate him making the right call and avoiding a potentially difficult situation for both of us. They’re definitely my solid #1 choice for the best Mexican AND customer service in town!

Been going here for years... if you're looking for a reasonably priced taco, you'll find it at Taco Mamacita. The 2 tacos and a side special is always delicious and available, the salads are excellent quality and portion sizes are fair. I wish they had more selection for hot sauces, but they are still very tasty.

The best tacos in all of Nashville! I used to go here way too much when we lived in Midtown and miss not having them over here in East Nashville. Pretty much any taco you pick is going to be good, The staff is friendly and the food gets to you very quickly. Only downside is it can get really packed and the parking situation is not ideal.

Overall, I have visited Taco Mamacita about 7 times and have consistently great experiences, however my visit last night as off the mark. Although the guacamole, shrimp taco, and sides were great, the fish taco and enchiladas were very bland. Overall though, I still recommend this place. There are plenty of options that are delicious and the staff is always great!

It's a nice place. Not a great place, but still worth stopping by if you are hungry and need a quick bite. The area and the place used to be more popular, but not anymore and you can tell. Still, the food is good quality, the staff is okay. Coffee is worse than engine oil, but who comes to taco shop for coffee, right? At least these days you can get a table much quicker than before. Nothing bad about the, place, but it's loosing its competitiveness compared to others in the area

My husband and I went just for a snack and a drink. We needed something to hold us over before dinner and it was close to where we were staying. We love Mexican food! The food was decent. Not bad, but nothing special. The waitress did not seem interested in us because we didn’t order a lot. We were sitting at the outside bar which faces the street. That was a nice location. I asked the waitress for lemons twice and they never came.

The good is good in general. Not my favorite sasa as it is heavy on the tomato and doesn't have much cilantro flavor. The Peruvian chicken is the best value on the menu, and very good. The chicken taco soup is very fresh and always amazing. The tacos is general are very good. Finding parking is the hardest part of the experience, but there is a big pay lot across the street.

This is my go to brunch place around midtown. Great drinks, generally great service, a menu to satisfy pretty much all tastes. They've had no problem making sure I get my allergies taken care of. They get it right 85% of the time. I love going here because the staff is attentive, the atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. As a soon to graduate college student, the price is the only thing that keeps me from coming here more often. 8/10 $$$

So so delicious. The staff were amazing and more than willing to accommodate my wife who is pregnant with the tacos. We had to send them back and get a different kind because the original ones were not sitting well with her pregnancy. The staff was more than willing to help and checked multiple times to make sure everything was alright. Great place and staff and the tacos are very filling. Will be going back.

Okay prices are paired with okay flavors at Taco Mamacita, although the service is solid. The location is decent, during peak hours it can be a bit challenging to find parking. The outdoor seating was nice, not crowded or uncomfortable. Overall, better food can be made by someone with a bit of experience and above average effort.

Only came in for drinks withe a business partner to gameplan in advance of a later meeting. For that purpose, it was an enjoyable experience. The bartender was attentive and personable, despite it being a pretty busy lunch rush on a summer afternoon. Food coming out looked pretty tasty, so I'll be back for that in the future. Drinks were reasonably priced and the selection was great.

Really impressed by the quality and attention to providing a gluten-free and vegan menu here. Vegan enchilada was great, and their guacamole is just excellent. No complaints about the staff - they all seem on top of things and did an excellent job. My second time and I would recommend it and will go again.

Update 07/05/2020 My visit earlier today was perfect. The food and service was on point. I was beyond impressed with the changes made and spent most of my meal watching the bartender prep drinks in plastic bags. Seeing all of the staff wearing masks made me feel comfortable walking in with mine on. Whomever changed things up in the face of the pandemic had to have taken a cross contamination course. Those five stars are well-deserved.

One of the best places to eat on music row! Have a wide variety of AWESOME tacos among other things. I've eaten here probably 10 times and have gotten something different every time, and have enjoyed every bite. They have good specials too! Definately a place to check out.

This place is usually packed in the evening due to its location around other bar/food places. I've tried food there and to-go. Overall the food is nothing to write home about, plan on paying $10.00 plus for a decent meal with average to small portions. The draw is the environment and drinks. I will say they have good salads.

This is a place I will definitely come back to if I come back to Nashville - we had a large party that came late at night so we did have to wait about 45 minutes, but once we were sat our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Awesome modern taco shop near Vanderbilt University. Interesting tacos I highly recommend the taco royale. Friendly staff and a very nice outdoor covered dining area. Due to the covid 19 they are requiring masks at this time however once you are seated you are not required to wear one. I enjoyed a black Cadillac which is a bourbon based Margarita it was delicious. Parking is on the side streets around the restaurant but there is plenty and there is no restriction as long as you don't block a driveway or park in front of a fire hydrant. My wife and I enjoyed our visit to this place and we plan on coming back.

I've been here countless times and normally the food, beverages, service are fantastic. I've had to bump my rating down after my past visit. I came in for happy hour drinks with Co workers and we were informed a particular drink was 2-for-1... It wasn't. Rather than just rolling with it, we had a super akward conversation with the manager... He really should have just offered to make it right instead of blaming a new server.

It's my favorite taco place in town. Not authentic tacos, but really creative and just delicious. I really love the atmosphere as well. The service is a little bit slow during busy hours and depending on who you get, it might be hard to get the attention of the waiter/waitress. But otherwise, I love everything else.

Love it. Have had 6 different tacos between several visits and loved them all, especially the California Club Taco and the Korean BBQ taco. OH, and get a side of the succotash. Fantastic. My son considers himself a connoisseur of nachos and he had rave reviews for what he had, for what it's worth. Can get loud at night on the weekends, but not unexpectedly so.

The food was excelent!!!!! The only reason for not five stars was because the service was a little underwhelming. Our waitress was very nice. However, she was a little distracted by talking with a girl who seemed to be her friend. We had to ask the person who bused our table for the check. Regardless, I would still go again.

A+!! Seriously, best food, best service. If you're pregnant and sensitive to tastes do NOT order the Caribbean jerk chicken. I made that mistake and almost threw up on the table. The staff was SO friendly and quick to act and help me with my wacky aversions. They were so understanding. Also, if you're visiting and you use the Nashville visitor's website for a "pet friendly" place... This place only allows service animals, so that tourist website for Nashville is a bit misleading. Highly recommend this place.

Taco Mamacita is a personal favorite of mine when I'm looking for a fun atmosphere and good food to share with friends. It's not a dive by any means, but the food is reasonably priced and very tasty. Also, the nice variety of tacos (the gyro is a great choice!) makes coming here every Wednesday to pick up 2 for 1 margaritas even more appealing!

The tacos were "OK", a bit overpriced...guess that should have been expected. The jalapeno corn slaw was the best part of the meal. While it was a bit light on flavor, it did have a kick of heat on the back end of each bite. I can't imagine finding myself craving another visit, but if someone wanted me to go there with then or I happen to be in the area and was hungry, I wouldn't not eat there.

The food her was pretty good and the drink price/selection is nice. Our waitress was relatively slow and it was hard to get her attention while we were trying to check out. But it's a great place to grab something to eat

REALLY great food. Went here for brunch on a Saturday, which they do on weekends from 10am to 3pm, and got the three little piggies torta along with a taco royale. Really delicious and filling. Only complaint was that the service was a little slow. Didn't have to wait long to be seated though, so overall, the experience was excellent.

Great Tex-Mex. Everyone always says, "this is the best Taco Soup I've ever had," and I agree! I'm pretty sure I've never had a bad meal in more than a dozen visits. While the food is good, the apathetic young people who work there, particularly the hostesses, oftentimes seem to go out of their way to care less about your positive experience. The other negative is the restaurant is in a neighborhood with limited street parking... the lot across the street is expensive.

Taco mamacita was always a great place. However, last night we reached there 15 mins before closing time and asked if they could serve us. They did accommodate us. That's great! Brooke served us and she was fantastic. With two kids in the group at and after closing time, she was patient and served us very well. Food all round, vegan and chicken was fantastic. Some of the best tacos ever, after travelling 23 countries, I can say that. Love the place for its ambience and service. Thanks guys!

Amazing tacos! Ate here for the first time. I was a upset to find out that $3.99 gets you only one taco, but man these tacos were delicious. So I'd say the price is worth it. My main complaint is that I got two tacos and a side on special for $8.99. This was enough to eliminate my hunger but failed to fill me up. Most Mexican places give you free chips and salsa. Not the case here. If I would of had chips and salsa plus my meal I would of been full. Service was great as well as the decor. The taco menu was impressive with many different flavors to choose from. I highly recommend this place, however if your starving doesn't expect to be full if your getting tacos

Mehhhhh. If you’re passing through and are looking for good Mexican, keep driving. This restaurant is perfect for white people who won’t drive to the less desirable areas of town in search of authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is the epitome of white guilt, social justice, and cultural appropriation. Not all things need to be “Americanized” and not every dish needs to have a variation of brisket. Best thing on the menu was the nachos off the kids menu. Cheese dip was good. Chips and salsa should be free. Avocados weren’t ripe enough to be turned in to guac. Service was alright. Nothing special. “Gringo” enchiladas would be offensive if it wasn’t Nashville. If you live here, you’ll like it. If you love Mexican as much as I do, keeeeeeep on truckin homie!!!

Taco Mamacita is a decent staple in the neighborhood - but we don't really get the hype. What we do love is that they have a vegan menu and gluten sensitive menu, so it takes the guess work out of it if you have allergies. The caribbean jerk tacos and taco royale are our faves, and we don't love the drinks (they are super sugary and filled with ice). If you're wanting to do something a little lighter, I love their chicken tortilla soup. I'd say it's a really fun vibe so if you're going with a group of friends and looking for something affordable, it's a solid choice.

My daughter had been talking about this place for months. She talked me into going tonight. It was more than worth the trip. I had the Korean bbq taco, the carnitas taco, and the jalapeno corn slaw. It was so good. My daughter says the Mexican street corn is the best!. We also had the appetizer sampler. You get queso, salsa, and guacamole with chips. It really was some of the most delicious food I have had. I highly recommend you try this place!

This is my favorite taco place in Nashville right now. They have amazing tacos but perhaps the best thing on the menu is the peruvian chicken. Just... Wow! The sides are authentic and delicious as well. The sides are not just an afterthought. The staff is so awesome and even though I personally do not have dietary restrictions, they cater to every need and the chefs are on top of their game. It has a chill atmosphere to just hang out in all afternoon and they have outdoor seating as well with heaters if its cold. I hope to try the Chattanooga location too!

Hands down my most visited restaraunt in Nashville. They are not a traditional Mexican restaraunt. They really specialize in specialty tacos, but I've had almost everything else on the menu, and it's all great. My favorite tacos are the general homeboy, California club, and the Memphis. I visited Taco Mamacita for the first time this past Saturday (suggested by a friend whom has never been) and we loved it. The atmosphere was amazing. Ben was our server and he was so patient and knew his stuff. The queso was delish. I was craving guacamole but I looked at the price and was hesitant so I asked for a sample. You just can't eat anybody's guac. Ben explained that they can serve it in smaller portions but if you want to get your money's worth, the appetizer portion was the best. He was right. It was so fresh and flavorful and was different. Ben explained that they didn't use lime. So delish! I also had the California Club Taco. My friend had all of that and a Memphis Taco. I can't explain how good it was. Different taste to it and the food kicked and popped as it needed to. I suggest Ben if you go. He was a huge help. He even got my water to taste like I wanted it and 4 cups later he got a nice tip from us. I'm planning on going back within the next 3 weeks.

Don’t skip out on Taco Mamacita if you’re in the Belmont/Vanderbilt area. I’m always pleased with the tacos! The corn isn’t great so don’t waste your side options with that. Jalapeño margs were a hit at our table as well as the yummy queso. Don’t bother celebrating birthdays here because the server brings fried ice cream without a candle and just plops it down on the table. Also, drink slowly because drink refills are hard to come by. Food makes up for mediocre service.

I'm fine now, but something was bad in that salad or the dressing, maybe in the meatless enchilada? Don't know, but not cool Mamacita, not cool. . Holy Guacamole for real! First, I hate onions and since they make the guac fresh, I got to omit the onions! I'm also gluten free and had no problem with this menu. We got the "Whole Enchilada" with street corn, dip trio, and house salad to go, on our way through Nashville. It took them less than 15 minutes to have it all ready, it cost about $30. THE. BEST. MEXICAN. EVER! My favorite enchilada was the meat free by far, the flavor was amazing. Not that the chicken or beef wasn't super juicy and fresh and equally incredible. The street corn, I could have had 6 orders of and wanted more it was so delicious! Our new Nashville Tennessee spot for sure!

My wife and I absolutely love this place! EVERY trip to Nashville means another trip to this place. Everything we've tried is delicious. Some of our favorite tacos are the Korean BBQ, Memphis, Oy Vey, and now (not currently on the menu) buffalo chicken/shrimp. The salsa and chips (are not free) never let us down. There are also seasonal salsa options if you'd like to try them. If I'm remembering correctly, the current one is pineapple jalapeño - to give you an idea.

WHAT A FIND!!! The General Homeboy taco has Thai inspired shrimp and grated cabbage with a sauce that can be ordered spicy or mild. The spicy version was delicious. The Sloppy Jose taco (think Frito Pie on a taco, but better) was good. The Oy Vey taco (brisket) was good, but is even better with green Tabasco. We will definitely be back.

During dinner, we ordered a sampler appetizer, and I had the Vegeladas. The queso is delicious, and the guacamole is fresh. My single con is the amount of cilantro; there's a LOT of cilantro in the salsa and guac. However, they'll leave out the cilantro from the guac. My Vegeladas were amazing! They are so flavor-packed, they're a joy to your taste buds! The prices are also really reasonable.

Hard to say a bad thing about Taco Mamacita's. Excellent bar and a plethora of tequila from which to choose. Pomegranate Margarita is probably the best marg on the menu. How do I know? I've tried all but one. They rock. The menu is diverse. Yes, there are standards you will find in every Mex place but the folks at TM's incorporate some flavors I've never had anywhere else - escabeche on their Shrimp Po'boy taco - yum! It's a "great take on an old favorite".

They even sell tacos too and they're authentic as a Nashvillian wearing a cowboy hat.

Not giving the 5 starts because I didn't have tacos that day (ridiculous I know). But I did have an awesome au naturel michelada, a mouth-watering corn on the cob and a not so tasty vegan soup, I expected more on the soup to be honest, but it basically tasted and looked like they just poured hot water into a pico de gallo mix and sprinkled (when I asked, even though is on the menu) some tortilla strips (not home made). The place is eye catching and according to my date his taco tasted very good, but nothing over the top.

Taco Mamacita has a great atmosphere and even better food. Taco Mamacita is located off of Villa near Belmont University. I go here often because it is in a very convenient location for me. I would describe Taco Mamacita's food as "gourmet mexican". It is reasonable priced, as most meals come with more than one taco. It MUCH better tan Taco Bell, but not as good as Cantino Loredo. If you like mexican and are on a budget, I would highly recommend Taco Mamacita.
