Stopped by for a quick lunch while shopping around at the Farmers' Market. Ordered the Goat Curry, Vegetable Rice, Lentils, and Vegetable Samosa. Service wasn't too friendly, but was efficient. Since everything is already made, they packed it up in a Styrofoam container and I was on my way to find a table.
Food was decent and good for the Farmers' Market, but I've had better options. It was a little lacking on the flavor and spice for me, but not necessarily bad. If you're in the mood for Indian Food at the Farmers' Market, then it's a good option.

My favorite quick lunch spot! The chili chicken and Veggie Curry are both incredible and it’s one of the most reasonably priced Indian spots in town. Try the Samosa too if they have it.

Best Indian food in Nashville. Go for the meal if you want to taste a little bit of everything..delicious!

I've been dining here for years and have to give a well deserved shout out to Swagruha. The quality of the food and taste is always on point but what sets them apart is the owner who really cares about giving good service along with great food.
Don't be fooled by this tiny little stall. Some of the Indian restaurants in their brick n mortar buildings have nothing on her food quality! For $9.49 you get rice, 2 curries and naan. It used to be 2 meat curries before the pandemic but with rising food prices she kept the price low and offers 1 meat and 1 veggie curry.
Her pricing is probably the best of all the food stalls in the Farmer's market as well as authentic and delicious!

I have eaten at every Indian restaurant in the Greater Nashville Metro area, and this is my favorite Indian food around. The quality is outstanding every single time. I love all of the spicy meat curries, the vegetable korma, and chili chicken. It’s Southern Indian, so lots of great spicy options. My wife and I are regular customers, and the owner is always so friendly. I hope this place is around for a very long time.

All the reviews are right - truly reminiscent of a restaurant in India itself with hot delicious rice, vegetarian, and meat dishes. A taste of home away from home

I thought I would be disappointed by the appearance but it blew me away. This is some of the most amazing food I have ever tasted. WILL be back!

Nashville-native and I can't find anything that matches the quality and taste of Swaghura. I've been going for years, sometimes weekly, for the chili chicken and paneer. This spot never disappoints. Best Indian in Nashville by my account. Highly recommend.

We make sure to stop by every time we are at the farmers market. The food is delicious, the service is always kind, and the portions are very generous.

Unbelievable taste at an unbelievable price. We have eaten here many times in the past and brought along quite a few to eat with us as well. The consensus is always the same. The best. Hands Down. If you like hot then this is the place to go, get the goat curry (amazing flavor) and the Chili chicken. I always grab two cheap bottles of water while enjoying the heat! While the atmosphere leaves much to be desired the quality and value more than compensate. Oh yeah... they close at 4PM on sat. and sun. so make it a lunch!

Employee was very polite and courteous and the food Chicken Tikka Masala with the yellow rice and bread was delicious

they are the reason i fell in love with Indian food. They were a vendor at Bonnaroo in 2015 and my friend told me to give it a try and i did. It was the best decision EVERRRR. I ended up eating there 3 more times during the festival and i just want to thank them because if it wasn't for them i would most likely never tried indian food. I wish this place was closer to where i lived but if i am ever in nashville I know i will have to stop by and eat there food again!!

I've eaten here nearly once a week for going on 2 years. For your money, there isn't a better spot for lunch in all of Nashville (if you typically enjoy Indian food, you will absolutely love the chicken tikka). There are lots of delicious options, lots of spice if you want it, and very generous portions. The fact that it's local and family owned is also a big plus.

I can’t get myself to eat anywhere else any time I’m at the farmers market. 10/10

I have not been to the restaurant but I did get to try their food at the bonnaroo festival! The workers were very kind and helpful and let me try samples of the vegan dishes. I got the channa masala (chickpea soup) and their spinach dal over rice. The channa masala was my favorite! So delicious and very kind staff, would definitely stop by their real restaurant when I'm in Tennessee again!

I travel quite often all over US, by far this little whole of a resturant is one of the best Indian food I experience yesterday. Most definitely come back again. Excellent taste and service

Loved the dosa dish! It's vegetarian. The spicy tomato-based sauce on the side was my favorite. Friendly service and great recommendations made.

Swagruha has really good Indian food on the go for a quick lunch. There’s butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, goat curry, chana masala, vegetable korma, dahl, chili chicken, mattar paneer, chicken samosa, vegetable samosa, veggie rice, chicken rice. Sometimes they have vegetable fritters and dessert they give complimentary. I heard you can also have them make mango shake and other items. Everything on the menu are good. I love the sauces which Ms Siva generously puts on my basmati veggie rice. For less than $13, you can have 2 entrees, rice, samosa and a drink. Ms Siva even adds some chili chicken for free! And this real home cooked food not fast food. For a quick bite, this place is a gem.

This is our FAVORITE Indian food stop in Nashville. Food is authentic, spicy and rich. Recommend to all our friends!

I ordered the basmati rice, chile chicken, and the curry chicken knowing they would be "hot"; especially given the bright orange color of the curry chicken. The lady serving the food even chuckled and asked if I knew it would be hot. I was not disappointed, it was hot but not at all as bad as I feared. Even with the heat the flavors were quite distinct and varried between the 3 foods. Will return next time I'm in the area.

Hands down the best Indian food in Nashville. If you're a vegan (like me) or vegetarian you have to try their vegetable korma. I promise it will leave you in a food coma :-)

I was at Swagruha on Feb. 27th and had late lunch. Had been to Swagruha several times for the best south indian food. I got on google to write a review, finally. I was surprised to to Asish review. I was there in line with my friends, when this incident took place. My version! This place is like a food court type restaurant at a mall. While we were in the line, this indian lady went inside the restaurant through employees only door with an empty plate (ate the entire dosa) and wanted her money in a threatening way. The lady at the counter told her, that she was sorry, and will make fresh dosa and idli, but she wanted her money, got her money! Her husband sitting at a table in the food court, listening to his wife wrote a review. What an Idiot! We told the lady at the counter, you have to careful with the indians and gujjus for their cheap tricks. Feb 16, 2012 sr979 review. Sat for a long time? This is not a sit in restaurant. You be the judge!!!! I was at the night market on 8/17/12 and had a Dosa, it was the best. The service is Great.

No joke. Literally my favorite restaurant. Excellent service. Perfectly spicy goat. On the cheap; on the quick. It's literally the best of everything.
Greg H
Good Indian food with plenty of spice. Only issue I had was the goat curry was mostly bones with very little meat.

I grew up in India and when I ate this food I felt like I was home! When my brother visits from Michigan we go every day and get the masala doses! I go to as many Indian restaurants as I can and this is by far # 1 in my book!!
Wendy Perry

The food is fabulous! The goat curry is excellent if you are looking for something with a little spice.
Kevin Stefanescu
Wasn’t really a curry, more like a broth w/chicken. Coming from California it was an underwhelming Indian food experience.
