I will be honest, I was a bit on the fence about eating here after I read some of the reviews. Just remember, everyone has their opinions. So, I gave this restaurant a chance! If you are looking for a romantic place to eat with your spouse for a birthday or anniversary, this is the perfect place. Reservations are highly recommended. When you make a reservation, you can make a special request for a more cozy atmosphere. My food was truly excellent. I ordered an appetizer, they give you bread. Also, ordersd the cesar salad, steak (I wanted prime rib), it is only served on certain days. I do love the atmosphere and my waitress was knowledgeable and a great server. The servers I saw were smiling and very friendly. Highly recommend you make your own opinion of this restaurant. Give them a chance to WOW you!! I also ordered the French Onion Soup to go and had it for lunch the next day and it was so very good!

My husband and I had a date night dinner at Stoney River and truly enjoyed it. I had asked for an intimate table when I made the reservation, and I was not disappointed. The service and our meal were just right. The previous time we had eaten at Stoney River, we were less than pleased, so I was happy that things were better again. We've loved Stoney River for a long time!

Took out the family for an adult bday tonight. Excellent service (ask for Elijah's section you won't be sorry). Excellent selection of bourbon, some hard to find. All in all we couldn't have asked for a better dinner, this is a must visit steak house if you haven't been, and once you have you'll be back.

Came here years ago and was not impressed. Received a gift card and decided to give it another try since the risk was low. So glad I did! The entire meal was incredible, as well as the service. The Wedge salad was one of the best I’ve had, and was so large I took half of it home. Will be back!!

Omg this place was wonderful!!! I even had my 2 little one again 2 and 4, so you could imagine how restaurants go for us... but this place is a must. Beautiful decor, nice staffing, peaceful environment, and last but not least food delicious!!! Although, I feel the appetizer menu could use a little boost.i give this place an 8 out of 10 a must go!!!

Food was delicious but service was lacking. Our reservations were at 715, did not get sat until closer to 8. We were able to get drinks at the bar while we waited, the dirty martini was perfect. Our server was training a trainee and she was better than the actual sever. We brought in a bottle of wine and the server didn’t know what the corkage fee was or what it even meant. So we explained that to her…she also didn’t know what a Pittsburgh style meant. Had to explain that to her as well. You are a steakhouse correct? Asked for water multiple times and it took multiple asks before they brought us one glass…for four people.

First time dining here and it was amazing!!! Our waiter was on point and very helpful. I can’t remember his name, but I think he went by Izzy. I will definitely be visiting again. And I highly recommend the cowboy steak 🤤

Stoney River on West End is a fantastic culinary experience. This establishment is the pilot restaurant for the regional chain. The service is great, food is incredible and the drinks are cold. We enjoyed the mussels and hot chicken biscuits for a primer before the meal. The Coffee cured filets are absolutely fantastic. Bone-in ribeye was well received and we enjoyed the parm crusted halibut. See below for the perfection we received! 5/5

Well I don't were to start. So here it goes. Well I heard good news about this place from several people so I wanted to take my friend girl for her bday. I was looking at the menu , valet parking, everything before I book so I'm like ok this seem nice. BOOK! Wen I got there Friday night there was no valet parking so you had to find your own parking spot an a small lot so Yu circling a around for a min lucky if you find one so I was irrated about that. Then I walk an it was a nice welcome cool. Proceed to the table order appetizer spinach dip. It's ok It's not the best had better. There rolls are really really good. My waitress name was Heather with glasses she had a trainee with her that night. I didn't take pictures of everything but an the middle of eattin something told me to take a picture an I did. Then we proceed to entrees I order the bistro chicken with Au gratin potatoes, smoke gouda mac and cheese. My friend girl order steak and mashed potatoes everything was salty everything. I end up eventually asking her how her food was an she said the same thing. I was Not pay $30-$40 for a plate we can't eat. So we had to return both plates because the food was so salty I couldn't eat it so I end up ordering salmon, broccoli and asparagus with no salt and my friend girl end of ordering creamy spinach. By time the food came I took the salmon, broccoli, an asparagus to go.They did fix the plate with no problem. Like I told I don't mind spending no money I will even get some the same price as wat I order but I couldn't eat that. But overall Its a Nice romantic spot for a date. Hopefully if I try it again it will be a better experience with my food.

Absolutely, without a doubt, one of the finest and most delicious meals we have ever enjoyed!! From the cocktails all the way through to dessert was Pure Heaven! In addition, the entire staff from hostess to bartenders to servers were top-notch. We will be back. Period. :-)

This place. I’m not a big steak lover, but Stoney River is my birthday tradition going on 3 years. The coffee cured filet mignon is quite literally something I dream about. This year our experience was put over the top with their stellar spinach dip and chocolate ganache cake. Do yourself a favor, treat yourself!

We sat at the bar and had a good experience. Two out of the three of us were completely satisfied. The third got prime rib and it was undercooked for him but they really tried to make it right. They don't have the best selections of beer but what they had were okay. It is a pricey place to eat but they really try to treat you good. Always great service and good is unquestionably good!

Service and atmosphere are excellent. I ordered the "Legendary" filet mignon medium rare with loaded baked potato. Wife had the famous biscuits and steak. My steak was cooked perfect on the inside but the outside was very well done. I suspect because 12 oz of steak is pretty tough to cook all the way through without over cooking the outer layer. Either way, this steak is well seasoned and quite delicious. The herbed butter was a nice touch but added a richness that didn't really compliment the steak's natural flavor and seasoning used. The biscuits and steak could have been great, however they were very dry. Biscuits by nature are kind of dry, they need something to help with chewing and swallowing them. These biscuits were outstanding, well made and flavored perfectly - add some white gravy, forget about it. The steak medallions (filet slices) though were definitely over cooked and tough. There didn't seem to be any butter or sauce or anything really to make the dry food easier to chew or swallow. There is definitely something there with that meal, or could be at least, my experience with them fell flat though

Very busy place. The Wedge salad was huge. A whole head of lettuce with an excellent house made blue cheese dressing My Coffee Crusted fillet took longer to come out than my friend's meatloaf (which was a huge portion), then I had to send it back as it was undercooked. Two other people sitting next to us at the bar also had to send back their steak and burger to to temperature. Sad for a steakhouse not to get steak temperature right the first time. Once I got it back I realized that it was so salty that it stung my mouth. But the meat was so good that I shaved the crust off the top and bottom and enjoyed it (second picture) A nice wine list and hard working, pleasant bartenders

I had the amazing salmon, as I am allergic to beef and dairy. My waiter was very conscientious, especially when it came to my food allergies. They make fabulous broccoli, and I never thought those words would come out of my mouth! The salad was so fresh! I have to admit, I had a few bites of the wonderful chocolate cake with real whipped cream that was served to the other guests for dessert. This was a very good meal, and I definitely want to come back again. The atmosphere is warm and beautiful. Totally clean throughout.

Herb is the best manager ever!!!!! He always makes you feel seen and heard!!!!! Oh My God!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!! The check ups from staff are amazing here. People need to dress up to meet the caliber of this place. It’s the perfect place for a candlelight dinner. My friend and I had an amazing meal. It’s located in a convenient spot on West End. I had the Steak and Biscuits and it never disappoints. This is my favorite steakhouse in Nashville. I love the price of food here the best. You don’t spend as much compared to other steakhouses and still receive a great experience.

Husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. They surprised us with a card and two glasses of champagne to toast! They have a wonderful staff, and excellent food. The filet mignon was mouth watering delicious, and the spinach dip will not let you down. We will come here again and again.

Absolutely fantastic! We found this place accidentally and it was worth it. There were 16 of us (sitting at different tables) and everyone loved their food. The carrot cake is the best I've ever had. The tuna tartare was the freshest (and best!) I've ever eaten. The servers were all nice and friendly. The ambiance was ritzy and cozy. I would definitely eat here again.

With such a beautiful uoscale atmosphere, great staff and service I expected a bit more from the food. Margarita and burger was not as impressive as I expected from a highly rated Steakhouse. French onion was delicious and one of the best I ever had though. I seek out uniqueness and nothing really stood out to me here. I would recommend it for an after hour dinner as their private rooms looked nice but with so many options in the area I don't think I'd consider this one for my meal in the future. Mixed feelings on this one but I won't remove it from the list.

The steak was perfect. I had the ribeye. The atmosphere was nice and somewhat secluded. We were in a room with four tables but ours and one other were the only ones used so it was very nice. The server did everything he could to make the meal enjoyable. And don't forget the keylime pie for dessert. 😊

I got there at 9:35 pm. The hostess said no tables but we could sit at the bar. When I got to the bar, the bartender told me I could have a drink but the kitchen was closed. I told her the hostess said I could order. She looked at her watch and said I had two minutes. Overall, the food was good, but a bit over priced. Just don’t come late because they really don’t want to deal with you when it’s too close to closing. Oh, and they close at 10 pm on a Saturday night in Nashville, TN. Kind of early for the vibe of the city.

Went here for a pre-birthday dinner. We had reservations so waiting was not an issue and Covid compliances were practiced throughout. We ordered Whiskey Shrimp and Steak Rolls for appetizers...omgeeee-awesome...almost a meal alone! For dinner, we had an order for Ribeye steak, French Onion Soup, Salmon and 2 Crab Cakes with sides. Our meats were cooked perfect and the sides were delicious!! Had Long Island Tea and wine for our beverages. The whole ambience was great! The only issue was the parking lot was packed out (@6 pm) so we had to park on street...but no issue with our car. Absolutely would go back!!

The website advertised Brunch on Sunday but they don't offer brunch food. The bread tasted like day old bread definitely wasn't fresh. The food overall was not the same, maybe dining early they are using the leftovers from the night before.

We went here during our Nashville vacation (twice). Our server Kylee and trainee James were friendly and knowledgeable about all the menu offerings. They have a special grill that got the regular cut filet to a medium rare with a delicious crust and it was beautifully glistening when cut. Maybe the best steak I've had ever eaten. The au gratin potatoes, the garlic whipped potatoes, the deviled eggs app, and the whisky shrimp on country toast appetizer were simply delicious. They were worth it as add ons. Both the ganache cake and carrot cake were satisfying closers to the meals. Come hungry and you will satisfied. It is not cheap, but it is very good. I didn't leave feeling that was more expensive than it was worth.

We went for my moms birthday and it was absolutely delicious! The steak, chicken, shrimp, and salads were all good!! Especially the Caesar salad is a must with your meal! It’s big enough to share with two people. We all enjoyed our plates we had a party of 8 and they were able to break us up in two groups but with tables next to each other for the current situations. My mom Is still talking about how much she enjoyed her birthday dinner and it’s going on almost two weeks !

My 2nd time eating this food. Dined in the first time and carry out this time. It's wild because I've NEVER had a steak and A1 sauce didn't cross my mind. This was the best seasoned steak I've ever had. The best tasting steak I've ever purchased in a restaurant, just juicy. And without a doubt the softest tastiest baked potato I've ever purchased. This restaurant is spectacular place for a fancier dining experience in Nashville. Form start to finish, the food and service are fantastic. The service are amazing, and are attentive to needs such as refilling drinks or accommodating questions you have. The bread they give are easily the best break I’ve had at a restaurant. They taste like a funnel cake without powdered sugar or like a condensed O’Charley’s bread roll. Slightly sweet like a Hawaiian roll, and they are given warm, so it is even better. Their steak rolls are amazing. crispy exteriors with a cheesy and meaty interior. The sauce they give with it perfectly balances the fattiness of the roll with its acidity. Their shrimp on toast is also tasty. It is covered in a thick, creamy sauce, and placed atop a piece of bread. The bread itself is toasted, which is a clever move to avoid it getting soggy from all the sauce. The shrimp are large in size and perfectly cooked. We also had the house salad. The salad itself was extremely fresh, and the vinaigrette was light and complemented well. Now for the filet mignon. I got it medium-well, and while it was closer to medium, the seasoning was impeccable. It was incredibly tender and every bite was as delicious as the first. The vegetables were also great - the broccoli was extremely large and crisp, the mashed potatoes were fluffy and buttery, and the creamed spinach was extremely creamy. Dessert was awesome. Their chocolate cake was extremely dense and fudge-y (it was not flourless). It was cold and chocolatey, which are enticing. There was also a key lime pie that was great. Just enough tartness in the filling to balance the sweet graham cracker crust. Overall it was an amazing experience, and this should be a destination if you want to splurge on a great dinner.

This experience was amazing! My wife and I went here for our anniversary and we could not have been more impressed. We did not taste one item that wasn't enlightening to our taste bud's. I am just going to come out and say, "This is the best steak either of us have ever had!" and we have been all over the world just to place this phrase into context. I would have taken photos like I usually do of great food I come across, but this is not that kind of place (business casual). The service was very good, they even went as far to ask us if we were celebrating anything special. They did provide us something complimentary, but we were not expecting it. We were so full from dinner, we took the carrot cake home, which also turned out to best we ever had, by far. I would be remissed if I didn't mention their amazing bourbon selection. I am a bourbon collector and there are selections on this list I have never come across in my years of searching, but be prepared for the price tag of those unicorn nectar selections. The manager went as far to come talk to me about their selection process, exclusive selections they receive and the full barrel that was hand picked by them for their restaurant customers. I challenge you to try this place and not like it! 😳 My wife and I plan to be regulars at this location, so we hope to see you there sometime! 😉 Now we did spend well over $100 per person, but more than half of that was from the exquisite alcohol selections we indulged in. Without the alcohol, probably $60 to 70 per person for their best plates. Life is too short and you can't take it with you.

Excellent meal and service. I will definitely come back. It's a bit pricier than I normally consider (about $30 per entree) but it was worth every penny. I had the petite filet and it was one of the best, juiciest steaks I've had and was cooked perfectly. My friend had the prime rib and said it was everything she wanted.

The food here is magnificent. I had deviled eggs, the 14 ounce ribeye, topped with whiskey shrimp. It was accompanied by fabtasic creamed spinach and roasted brussel sprouts. For dessert, you must try the creme brulee. Great atmosphere, great service. I'll definitely be here again!

Was with a large group for dinner. Had been to the Cool Springs location before but not here. Really wished the table setup was different. We were separated into 4 tables so you really only got to talk with the people at your table instead of the whole group. Not sure why it was arranged that way. Servers did their job, the food seemed to be just okay. Probably because of the large group. Will have to come back minus the numbers to see if things are better. Overall, the staff handled the large group well, we enjoyed the dinner.

Premier Steak House, much like a Bonefish, but maybe a little nicer... From the French Onion Soup to the NY Strip Steak, everything tasted fantastic... The French Dip was great also and very moderately priced... Whatever you do, DON'T pass on the Rolls that they offer... they were unexpectedly good!

Celebrated our 10th Anniversary and Stoney River did not disappoint. We were greeted by the hostess when we walked through the door, seated promptly, our waitress Brooklyn greeted us with Anniversary wishes and was awesome throughout our dinner. The Halibut and the Bisto Chicken were perfect. Wife had a One Fine Day and I had the Lemon Drop Mohito and both were very good. Complimentary Chocolate Cake for our Anniversary and it was delicious. On Thursday August 25th I had reservations for one here for my birthday. As I arrived the Hosted greeted me with a SMILE. It actually was 3 nice young ladies at the Podium. One of them took me to my table and seated me. My Server Ms. Shirley took good care of me all through out my dinner alone with other co workers! I had The 14 oz Ribeye Steak MW, Asparagus and Garlic Whipped Potatoes. My meal was Delicious. The Compliment Chocolate cake was soooo Delicious. I couldn't eat all my food or cake LOL, so I took a to go box home. Thank You Stoney River Steakhouse! I enjoyed myself at your Classy, Nice Atmosphere Restaurant. By The Way, I told Shirley that I was a Former Waiter from The Nashville City Club Lol, she definitely passed my Grade as I watched how she and others attended to me. The staff was great with our large group with four littles in tow. The server we had (missed her name) was so sweet and even though things got mixed up at one point over an app, she figured things out and took care of us. Very thankful for the very sweet gesture of writing my Aunt's name (my cousins mom) on the plate for her bday. I attended a local Travel Agent event, and this was just a portion of the meal provided. Everything from beginning to end was simply marvelous! We had carrot cake for dessert, which I'm not normally a big fan of, but I would have it again and again here. Oh, and the steak wraps I had as an appetizer were simply divine!

Generally pretty good, but don’t spend $18 for their crab cake! Mostly bread and very little crab. There was a hint of a seafood kinda taste, but certainly not nice, clean crab. Maybe what to expect if they were charging <$10, but $18!! Our wedge salad was very good, though.

This is what a high-end restaurant should be like. Everything was carefully excellent. Every single sauce managed nuance and complexity without being overwhelming. The steaks were wonderfully aged cooked perfectly and then seared masterfully with a compote that melted and drew into the steak with its own juices finishing it wonderfully. The shrimp and grits had a gravy and was cooked to such excellence and that it truly was fine dining. Every single part of the menu is deserving of exploration from what we've seen so far with three unique dishes, the appetizer, two different salads, and four sides. If you are willing to pay $75 to $100 per plate for an amazing meal, this place is very very worthwhile. You could probably also very much enjoy yourself for $30 to $50 a plate, but you would likely be missing out on many wonderful things.

The food was good. Better than good. The service was mediocre at best. I sat at the bar as a solo diner and was greeted promptly but had to clean my area myself. The wine glass I was given was visibly and tactfully dirty- quite disgusting honestly. I ordered the steak and biscuits (the signature dish) and they were out. So I ordered a salad. I watched people sit down, order drinks, apps, dinner even. They were being served. All while I waited 45 minutes for my salad; after I had to ask about it. For the price of the restaurant the experience is as important as the food and here I only got 1 out of the two. I’m not sure if I will come back or not, but if I do and the experience is just as poor I’m sure this will be it for me. Perhaps the 45 minute wait for the salad was a single mistake. Can’t imagine the price and service level being so far off.

I ate here while visiting from NC, I use to live in Nashville until January 2021. I had previously eaten there once while living there but only had a salad! I wanted to take my dear friend out for a delicious meal on me. They were luckily open during the snow and kept true to my reservation I made weeks earlier. The hostesses were kind, beautiful and sat us quickly. Love the vibe...place was clean, dark lit, high class, quiet but fun, booths were company. Definitely a high end, romantic, lovely spot. Wait staff was polite, well dressed, well spoken, knew all about the menu, very nice and social and accommodating. I had lobster bisque, it was absolutely perfect, perfect portion and so tasty. He had the French onion soup, it was HUGE and decadent and delicious. We shared a crab cake appetizer, I was worried because Nash is land locked and I currently live on an island on the NC coast called Carolina Beach so I'm picky about my seafood... However, it was fresh, cooked and seasoned well, quality lump crab and the mango salsa was fresh and perfect. For our main course, I had the pan seared Atlantic salmon in lemon buerre blanc with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Best taters I've had in a long time at a dine in spot, broccoli was fresh and cooked to perfection. The salmon was absolute perfection, cooked and seasoned well, fresh, high quality and the sauce was incredible. He had the coffee cured filet mignon. Worth every penny. Cooked perfectly, thick, fresh, and definitely unique to try. It was incredible. I also got a french press coffee...was amazing. And he had wine. He said it was delicious, we gotta believe him because I don't drink! Haha! Our entire experience was perfect and was so pleasing to the soul and taste buds. I spent about $150 plus a tip and it was worth it. Next time I'm back in town, I'll be back. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience beginning to ending! You guys are excellent!

The waitress Shirley was prompt and attentive to our needs and requests. The biggest surprise was our portions and what you get in what you're ordering. The three of us ordered something different from the specialties along with the French onion soup and salads and could've been just fine with the size of the salads. First time here and we really enjoyed it. Made a reservation via Resy as I figured it would be busy on a Friday night. Our reservation was for 8:45 and we were seated at 8:41. We had the steak rolls for an appetizer, amazing!!! All of our meals were cooked perfectly and flavor was abundant. The coffee cured filet is to die for. The prime was so tender! The legendary filet and ribeye were enjoyed by my son and his fiancé. Sides are plentiful. The spaghetti squash with caramelized onions was different. Not bad, just different. Capped it off with some chocolate cake that was tasty but not too rich. Overall a really great experience. Our server Shirley was 5 star! Attentive and a pleasure to be around.

Absolutely delicious! Parking was a little hard to find upon arriving but we ended up finding a spot after circling around a few times. The experience was top notch with amazing service. Every employee was accommodating and respectful. Restaurant was a little more noisy than we expected but it did not bother us but could see how it might for someone else. Food was ahhhhhmazzzing! Do yourself a favor and get the spinach dip and creme brulee. Make sure you make a reservation.

We are currently living in Nashville for 3 months due to my father having a lung transplant. One of his doctors recommended Stoney River and we've eaten there 5-6 times since June. Food is always great, servers are attentive and polite, and the restaurant is very nice and clean. I'm not a big steak eater, but the filet is awesome. It's always cooked perfect and hot when it comes out. The parmesan fries, mac and cheese, asparagus, and spinach dip is our favorites. It's definitely worth the money and don't compare to the other local steakhouses that are the same prices and statue. I'll choose Stoney River EVERYTIME!!!

We were having Easter Brunch today. Lindsey, our server was fun, laughed a lot, kept our glasses full and we enjoyed her. The biscuits we served were stale and hard. Crab cakes were ordered and they ce out just fine. We also ask for a side order of eggs and they were cold, hard and not cooked properly. The brunch menu lacked eggs, bacon,, general items for an Easter brunch. I like Stoney River and eat there often. I say skip Sunday Brunch because it lacks brunch menu items (bacon, eggs) to below average biscuits and overcooked food.

They were very disorganized. We had a party of 20 or so. My app came after my entre. My drink took forever. My friend side never came out. My steak was a little over cooked (though very well seasoned and cooked had i ordered it medium well). Drinks were on the wrong tickets. Sides served to the wrong tables. All in all the food was good and the service and atmosphere was friendly but I didn't feel like the business is upscale enough to charge nearly $40 for a 14oz ribeye.

Zero empathy or care for employees here. My waitress Dani last night was CLEARLY going through something hard last night. She was crying, unavailable, and wasn't given any breaks. The managers didn't bat an eye, didn't send her home, nothing! We were at our table for over 3 hours and left her a big tip, which brought on even more tears. She did her best to serve us in a timely manner and we truly appreciated her, as should her leaders and bosses. Treat your employees right, Stoney River! Mental health matters. Shame on this company.

We had a business meeting here on a Wednesday night. Despite the low traffic night the staff was outstanding. Opened at the bar and they brought over complementary flat bread that was very good. Then got a couple of drinks and headed to the table. Multiple wait staff stayed focused on keeping our drinks full and to make sure we had all we needed. The way that they prepared their steaks is really impressive. They have the perfect amount of darkened crust on the steak to give it a strong flavor with every bite. Great dinner area for all types of occasions.

Took my lady here for valentines day and it was great. We only waited about 15 minutes for our reserved table. The waiter, atmosphere, food, drink, and restrooms were all 5 star worthy. The steaks were cooked exactly right and the mac and cheese was amazing, its def a must try. Very good selection of wine however, it could have been colder. Very clean, neat and quiet place. Overall its a great restaurant. Our bill was $125...worth every penny.

I found this restaurant on trip advisor and was so glad I did. My husband and I were celebrating our 24th anniversary - I had mentioned it when making reservations. They made it so special. Don’t know why this restaurant is not #1 in Nashville! I had a ribeye steak that melted in my mouth - literally the best steak I have ever had!! Husband got the cowboy steak topped with Oscar… delish! You cannot beat the excellent staff and affordable food. If you are ever in Nashville - GO!! Gets a 11 out of 10 in my book!

We arrived for dinner around 5pm and were seated within 10 minutes. The hostess and our waitress were both very kind. My parents and I all ordered steaks and they were cooked to perfection. They were so tender, flavorful, and were the best we've had. Everyone was completely satisfied with their side dishes as well. Food was really delicious. Upscale restaurant. No reservation required. Prices are high but really good service. Atmosphere is relaxed and romantic. Live music in the background. Friendly customer service and great servers. Restaurant has bar with high chairs. Valet parking available. Restaurant is visible from main street. There are dishes for adults and children as well as vegetable dishes. I had the grilled fish with vegetables and it was palatable. There is a name for it and it falls under the healthy food. But there are steak, salmon, and other favorite dishes. Credit and debit cards accepted. Opens at 4:00PM local time. Restrooms available and well maintained.

My sister & i split the blue cheese wedge, surely large enough to share. Don't order unless you really like the blue cheese chunks, I do. We both ordered the ribye, stressing on the red side of med. rare. It was pink, but still okay, I would definety ask to cut out some salt on the steak. It was very good & we each brought our left over portions with us. In a hotel room so we butterflies & put on their rolls next morning. Very good. The bread is good * little round rolls with Cinnamon/sugar sprinkled on. Very good but kind of unusual for a steak dinner. Probably they have other bread alternatives. We also had side item of some kind if potatoes & I forgot what its called. I've been there a few times, definetly recommend it

Fantastic place to eat, the prim rib was cooked to perfection and very little trimmed off ( the fat) and the carrot cake, my gosh, is soooo big. If you haven't been here and are looking for a great meal please try them. Ask for Katelyn, please forgive me, I know I spelt her name wrong, she was the best. So friendly and out going and fast. Wow! But like I said, stop in give it a go. You'll be glad you did.

Traveling from out of town and just wanted a nice relaxing date night with my husband. This was by far the best service at a restaurant we’ve ever received. Literally every single worker in the restaurant made you feel like they cared you were there. We have a Stoney River at home and they should take notes from this location because they are superb. The service you receive here is top notch. We didn’t have to ask or want for anything. The manager came and talked to us then heard we’re from out of town and gave us a free appetizer. Then we didn’t realize there was valet for parking and had no cash on us so we asked him if we could somehow put it on our bill and he said don’t worry about it I’ll take care of it for you. I would recommend this restaurant and this location to anyone.The food is out of this world! I get the coffee molasses cured filet and it is AMAZING! We will for sure be back to visit!! Thank you!

Our experience on 12/16/17 was definitely not what we are used to. We come there always in a group of 10 and usually have an awesome experience. Last night not so much. Had to ask and then wait for drink refills. Same for rolls. One person had her steak redone twice and still couldn't eat it. Maybe with a group that large there should be two people waiting on the table. Also when service is bad the customer should be able to determine the tip instead of it being forced. Like paying for bad service.....not cool.

Very nice steakhouse that won't break the bank. I had the 22oz. bone in Ribeye, two mixed drinks and shared a dessert for $80. Very reasonable in my opinion. Steak temperature was exactly what I ordered and service was very good. All around, had a nice experience and would recommend.

We had a big event here with Vanderbilt, and the staff was very accommodating in our set up and the changes we made to the tables last minute. They offered us glasses of wine while we were setting up and getting our place cards together. We had a full menu planned out and it was executed beautifully. The food was great. I love their food but it is way too noisy in here. Every time I go, it is like a party or something in there. The ambiance is very romantic but the level of noise throws it off. The au gratin potatoes are very good. The sea bass and salmon are the reasons I come. Very tender and moist with great flavors. You can tell the fish is fresh. Servers are very attentive if you have a large party because gratuity is included in the check. When I went with other 3 other people, the service was less than but overall this is a great place to eat.

One hostess staff was very unfriendly and not very understanding. The rolls and mojito are definitely worth coming back for. Overall the food was good but I expected more as far as taste compared to the prices. Needed to wait 10 min for a table on a Tues. night at 8 pm. The waiter was at the table looking for drink and appetizer orders before we were settled and opened the menus. I needed to look at the beer/wine menu and he never followed up with my drink order. We both ordered entrees under $20. The waiter kept asking for us to get a soup, salad or appetizer. The entree was a chicken specialty with capers. Delish. True to form, he wanted to add dessert. Took a long time for him to return to process the payment. He would have got 20% tip if his mannerisms we're better. Food was great.

When I went to attend a group dinner the staff was utterly professional and helpful. Though a few mistakes were made they had no trouble quickly fixing it and making sure everyone in my party was having an excellent time. In addition, the food itself was fantastic and the smell alone is enough to make your mouth water. Their rolls are sweet dough and almost doughnut like, and their desserts that I had the pleasure of sampling were delicious, though I doubt you'd be able to finish their chocolate cake in a single sitting. All the portions are generous and I can easily say it's one of the best stake houses in town for both service of staff and quality of food. Fully reccomend.

I had the coffee crusted filet mignon and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. I asked that it be cooked raw and they complied. Usually I'll ask for cold centered rare and restaurants will bring it out Med Rare. SRS did a great job of grilling it as I like it. All the sides were fabulous as well. The cherry cheesecake was delicious. I would highly suggest a dining experience there. It is not budget friendly, but it is an awesome meal.

I wasn't too impressed with this restaurant based on the prices of dinner. Here's why: The deviled eggs were spicy. I wasn't sure why they were spicy, but I wasn't a fan of that. The steak roll appetizer was way too greasy. The cesar salad came in such a good sized portion. I was very pleased! But... again, they added some seasoning on it that made it spicy. I could only eat half of it. My dinner: The fries came out cold. I'm not sure if they were good or not, I wasn't interested in eating them cold, or asking for hot ones. The steak biscuit, what a surprise menu item... I really enjoyed it! I've never seen it on a menu, but the biscuits were buttery and delicious! The reason I came up from a 3 star rating is the wait staff. They were absolutely marvelous! They waited on us hand and foot, AND they were incredibly friendly. They have a superb staff! I can't stress that enough. All smiles in this area!

This is a great place for date night or a corporate party, but not so much if you have kids tagging along. The portions for the price seemed fair. My husband ordered the "Cowboy Cut" ribeye steak and it was massive and cooked exactly to order with a nice crust to keep in the flavor. The price for 4 adults and 3 children was right at $150. I would go back, but not with children.

Been there a couple times recently and service is attentive, but not very knowledgeable about special dietary issues like avoiding gluten. Asked for my meal to be gluten free and it came out with fish and vegetable and no rice. I asked if the rice had gluten in it, and server said she would ask. Came back with rice. I would expect a bit more knowledge from service and kitchen staff at a high end restaurant like this to be a bit more up to date on these issues.

I have mixed feelings. First off, the staff was very accommodating and friendly which helped me leave w a good feeling. Most of the food was truly great. But...the most important things to me were disappointing...this was the quality of the steak and the total cost. I had a gift card to offset the large bill ...otherwise I would have been really mad. The steak quality was similar to a texas roadhouse or logans but the price was $35 to 40.00 each steak. I dont think we would go back because of this.....if my bill is going to be over $100 for 2 people, the main entree better be worth it. There are too many other high end restaurants to choose from where I know I will get a great steak.

It was a bit busy but the hostess was very polite and reassuring that the wait would be short. She didn't disappoint, we got a table even before we got our drinks. The waitress was super polite, friendly and cheerful. I am not from the area and only happend by the restaurant because I was starving and I am glad I brought my apatite, the porttions were not oversized but with the salad and roles it was very worth the higher than average price of the food. The side salads were great with the variety of lettuce, cabage, and toppings, it was presented well and tasted even better. We ordered the famous steak and biscuits, and the salmon. Both were fantastic and I would have them again. It was nicer on the inside than the outside, so I was not prepared for fine dining but am very pleased with the atmosphere and service we received.

I frequent the Stoney River in Franklin, TN. (which I give "excellent" reviews across the board) and decided to try this one because it is closer to my home. Big mistake! At the Franklin location, the food runner will stop at your table when they bring the steak and inform you that they are going to wait for you to cut into your steak, and be sure it is cooked to your liking. I saw the red flag when they put my steak in front of me and disappeared before I could make my first cut. The manager did show up at my table right as the food runner walked away asking "How does everything look?" I replied "Well, it looks okay, but I haven't tried it yet" he piped out a quick "Great!" and walked away. I purchased the second most expensive steak on the menu ($32 coffee-cured filet), medium. It came to me bloody rare. I sent it back, of course. When the manager brought it back out to the dining room, he went to the wrong table, and proceeded to walk around the restaurant with my food. Finally when it did make it to my table, it was medium-well on one side and well done on the other. My wife orders her usual steak salad, which comes with two small steaks on the plate. One was cooked medium as she asked, the other was bloody rare. She didn't send hers back. I stopped the manager on my way out, told him our server was great but the steaks were poor. His response was insincere and the look on his face was dumb. My advice: Drive the extra half hour to Franklin and visit the location there, you will not be disappointed.

Best steak I've ever had. The coffee cured filet is the best. It's is an interesting concept of a flavoring. Coffee and molasses. I wouldn't have ever thought that would make for good, but it is awesome. The rolls are probably closer to donuts than rolls, but they are outstanding. If you go, you should try the Steak Rolls appetizer. It's kind of like a beef stroganoff egg roll. That's a realty basic description. They are very very good. Make sure to get reservations, although not required, it does speed up the process when you get there. All of the staff is super polite and helpful. This is my go to steak place. I can't even eat a steak at other places anymore. I find my self comparing it the Steak here.

1-st time at the Nashville Stoney River Steakhouse on New Years eve. They were real busy but also professionally operated. We ordered filets, prime rib, ribeyes & seafood. All our meals we cooked to perfection & very tasty. We also ordered crab cakes & onion ring appetizers. The crab cakes we absolutely delicious and the best ever. I normally don’t eat them even on the coast since they usually taste like cake and not crab. These were full of crab and cooked perfect with a touch of crunch. Well after we placed our appetizer order Mr. Joe the MGR came over to apologize and told us the onion rings were going to take several more minutes and was sorry and offered us another choice on the house. That was only 2-3 minutes after we ordered so I thought that was very efficient & kind. We all were very please and said we will return to this fine establishment. We came on a Sunday about 3pm in early August, but during the Covid-19 pandemic. The place was empty when we arrived but diners trickled in during the hour. They require masks and maintained plenty of distance between tables. The interior is dark with a low ceiling creating a cave-like atmosphere. There is patio dining. I had the filet trio- Blue cheese crusted, bernaise and au poivre- with parmesan fries. Excellent, but all three were heavily peppered. She had the Cumberland salad, but they left off the pecans. She was unsatisfied. The service was mediocre. Prompt, but they were empty. The drinks were good. Classy and not liquor forward, but well-poured.

Took way to long to get our order. 15 min. Finally got our order tried our rib eye steak, her's medium well and mine medium rare. Hers was overcooked to well and tough, mine was overcooked to a medium/ medium well, was tender but salty. I can stand a little extra salt but this was a little more than I could handle. Sent mine back, the first time I have ever done that, took another 10-15 minutes to get the waitress to come over and take it back then another 15 minutes to get the new one. It was okay. For the cost of the meal I expected more and got less. Hopefully just a bad night

Awesome service and a great meal. Our family (wife, son, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, and myself) ate here. We had an issue of a water glass, dropped by a server, breaking between my toddler son and I. Glass on me and his pants were soaking wet. Since there were no bathroom dryers, I walked over to starbucks with my kid's pants in hand. As soon as I left, the manager came to the table to offer to go across the street to see if he could buy some pants. The server was very apologetic and did a wonderful job taking care of us as did the manager. When I returned, with the now dry pants, the table had already been reset with new drinks (water and all). When you pay for a meal at this price you expect great service and this is exactly what we received.

For the exorbitant prices, the food should be much better. Was average. My daughter and I each ordered a $30 filet. It was ok, too much pepper. I would not recommend the au gratin potatoes, they were horrible and looked equally unappetizing. I also don't recommend the Oscar style lump grab that the restaurant recommends pairing w/filet. Reason being is that the blood mixes w/the crab meat and is less appealing than it sounds. I ordered the creme brulee for dessert and the caramelized sugar was burned. The service was excellent, our server was from Russia. My 12 yr daughter a wonderful time and enjoyed her meal so that's all that really matters.

The best thing on the menu, by far, is the Coffee Cured Filet. Such a great sear and flavor. (Don't have to like coffee to enjoy). It's always cooked perfectly at medium rare and the potatoes are a great pairing. They have an excellent drink menu with some amazing allocated bourbon options at a very reasonable price. One of our favorite steak options in Nashville.

Just wanted to comment on the excellent staff and management. Just had dinner there tonight. I had a small issue and the waitresses would not allow me to leave unsatisfied. The manager was also just as awesome. That is some of the best customer service I've seen in a long time. Great management and great staff you'll definitely have a great dinner and a great time!

This place has real service standards which is rare in Nashville. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and facilitated a fantastic evening for all eight of us. Food was on point and came out perfectly timed which again for Nashville is something you don't see very often.

Great medium-rare Steak au poivre with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Atmosphere was enjoyable. We didn't have a reservation so we had to wait 25 mins (understandable) and then tables were taking longer so we had 10 more minutes tacked on. Other than the additional wait time, the night was great. The servers and manager were delightful also.

I don't write reviews very often, but I find them very helpful so I am going to start. This is an awesome place to start. My husband and I were celebrating our 29th anniversary and looking for a special place. We arrived early, unsure of the traffic and not wanting to be late for our reservation - No Problem, we were seated promptly. Our server, Logan, was just amazing and surpassed any expectations. The french onion soup was the best ever, the house salad (with house dressing) was so pretty and tasty, the wine was good, and the homemade rolls were such a tasty addition. Hubby had the New York Strip and he said that is was probably the best he had had. I had the Petite Filet and (I don't normally eat steak, but decided to try something different) it melted in my mouth. We walked out so pleased and FULL and headed to the Opry. We will definitely be going back. A final note, you will definitely need a reservation because this place was so busy - Sat. night.

My family and I have been going to Stoney River since 2001. We love this restaurant and can always depend on a great meal and generally good service. Our last visit on 10/26 was on the path to being exceptional until the bar staff and kitchen got severely backed up. To add insult to injury, my ribeye wasn’t served but rather a tough and bland NY Strip. We waited long enough for our food so I ate half the steak and told the waitress to make sure she charged me for a strip instead of the ribeye since that’s what I was served. The manager at the time, Joe, came over to apologize and assure me that he would take it off the bill, but Joe had to throw a little insult at the end of his speech that “sometimes the end of our ribeyes look like strips, but we’ll take it off for you anyway”. I know that wasn’t a ribeye, and if it was I’ll never order another one from Stoney River in the future. Out of the dozens of steaks I’ve enjoyed at Stoney River, it was the manager that made this steak the worst, despite the bad cut and wrong steak. Advice for Joe and the management at Stoney River: own it or don’t. When you straddle the line it’s just as bad as not owning it.

Here's why you need to eat at this steakhouse tonight! My wife & I were disappointed that her filet was served medium well instead of medium like we ordered. Before we had a chance to complain, the waitress recognized the filet was not cooked properly and brought out a new one cooked to perfection. No restaurant is perfect but you have to appreciate one that owns up to & takes care of their own mistakes. We will eat here again!

I read the reviews of the top 5 steakhouses in Nashville, TN prior to making my choice of where we wanted to go. I based my decision based on said reviews. I chose Stoney River, I never heard of them and to my knowledge they are not in MD. Many other places weren't in MD either but the reviews stood out to me. Now, I am no local "Google tour guide" but I'll tell you what, I've have grilled steaks for years and I've even slow cook grilled a prime rib more than once that was to die for.....brisket is next. Now, I called made a reservation then I upped the time because we were hungry. They accommodated without hesitation. We arrived it was raining and someone on thier staff opened the outdoor gate so we could get into cover of canopy without even thinking of himself(southern hospitality?). We are seated and inform our waiter Chad that it was our first time there and we had some questions. We asked about the choices he would make from the menu, we asked about the arrival time to the airport to meet our departure time, we asked about the "local" hangouts to get away from the busy Broadway, he had quite the list of suggestions for it all but let's talk STEAK! Based on his suggestions we chose the coffe Filet and the "cowboy cut" rib eye(bone in). You know, I devoured that big steak it was cooked to perfection! I even told him to thank the chef of which he did. I know because I asked if he did. Only a Chef who doesn't interact with the public would have given the response that Chad willingly shared but I won't mention here. It was the proper celebratory response. Chad wiped our table down between mixed drinks and individual entrees(appetizer, meal and dessert). Oh my I skipped the appetizer.... the Whispy shrimp on Country Toast appetizer with the sauce was delicious and also suggested by Chad. Dessert was the infamously loved everywhere "Creme Brulet" which was lovely and melted in your mouth. If I could say one thing about Stoney Creek is that it succeeded in surpassing my expectations from the reviews. When I come down again, I will be stopping here. Worth it and yes I left a big fat tip too. I appreciate great service and I highly recommended this becomes your steak house of choice in Nashville. If you don't believe me, find out yourself. My dates exact words were "that was the best meal we have had down here the whole time". I'll be back.

Come for the atmosphere; stay for the steak. The Coffee Filet is amazing. But stay away from the steak rolls. Abhorrent. I'm pretty sure they came out of a box and were thawed just before serving. Place is pricy, but the valet outside should tip you off.

We happened upon this gem driving by on a friday night on the west side of Nashville, the wait was long but were told the bar is full menu and open. we are laid back so this is perfect. Though a bit dark in the dining room, the bar service was helpful in menu presentation and local beer and wine selections. We ordered crab cakes...amazing moist and hot not dry from overbreading, and the 3 filet entree with potato Au gratin, cooked, seasoned perfect huge portions glad we shared, for under $100 some beers and app, an entree and 2 add on sides. A must stop if on the west Nashville area side close the I 440 as well

Originally it said 15 minutes and then after entering all our info, we were alerted that time was no longer available. We almost left but decided to try just walking in. The only thing that was frustrating is that even though we had a reservation and got there in plenty of time, we sill had to wait about a half an hour, but hey, it's a busy time of year around then so we let it go.
