What a phenomenal experience at Oak Steakhouse Nashville. We were greeted at the door in a timely manner with a beautiful smiling face. Once to our table, Dominick introduced himself as our server. What a delightful human. He provided the features and his suggestions. All courses were delivered in a prompt manner and cooked to perfection. There is not one negative thing I can say about Oak Steakhouse Nashville. Absolutely Great Job!!!!

We hosted a private group dinner for 30 this past weekend. It was the absolute best. Everyone in our group raved about the food and the service. Robert was on his game. He and his staff provided amazing service and attention. Every dish was amazing, the steak was cooked perfectly, the potato's and asparagus had so much flavor and the chocolate mouse bomb was delicious. Thank you so much Oak Steakhouse for a memorable evening. I would also recommend working with Sarai who helped us set everything up, she was a delight to work with and very responsive.

This place is incredible. The atmosphere inside is as good as the food. Came on a Friday night and it was busy. I was able to get a seat at the bar and watch my Carolina hurricanes play hockey and have some appetizers. The staff was so nice and friendly. I will definitely eat here everytime I come back to Nashville to visit my son. I would recommend this place to everyone. It is in a great location and they have free valet.

Fantastic option in downtown Nashville. Order the house version of the old fashioned; you won’t regret it. I order the swordfish which was topped with capers and served upon a smashed/roasted fingerling potato; it was absolutely outstanding. The Brussels sprouts are also a solid choice.

Have eaten here 2 times (once in May 2019 and then Sept 2022) and each time I’ve said “best meal I’ve ever had”. WE LOVE OAK STEAKHOUSE!!! Our server this time, Andy, was exceptional. He went over the top to celebrate my 30th birthday. Thanks Andy!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Waiter was excellent, service was quick, and food was delicious. The ambiance and decor is amazing contributing to a upscale yet casual enough environment where no matter what you are wearing to dinner you won’t feel out of place. 10/10 recommend and will certainly be returning soon.

Absolutely loved my meal here back in March and look forward to returning next month! The rabbit was to die for. I’m bummed it’s not currently on the menu but I’m hopeful that will change before February 8th. The steak went too quick for a photo.

We had excellent service and delicious food. Highly recommend the Japanese wagyu and Brussels sprouts. Everyone at the table had tasty cocktails. A bit disappointed that antique collection bourbons weren’t available, but maybe next time!

This was such a wonderful experience for a birthday dinner. The BBQ grilled oysters were THE BEST I have had and I am a big seafood fan and have traveled all over. That was going to be difficult to top, but the Filet Trio was such an amazing display of the best surf and turf!! 4 ox filet medallions topped with a fried oyster (my favorite one), a Cajun butter lobster tail, and AKC with a buttery flavor. It was all so good. The sides and dessert were also fantastic, but one thing really stood out above the rest- the mocktails! I’ve been doing dry January and it’s tough going to a high end steakhouse and not having a glass of red or a whiskey drink. They had a zero proof old fashioned that was satisfying and helped to round out the delicious meal. Highly recommend this place!!

Everything you would expect from a top notch steakhouse. Worth every penny. Service was fantastic and offer a wine selection to pair with our steaks. Sides of Brussel sprouts/Mac n cheese/ asparagus/aligot potatoes were all delicious.

Such a good experience here! The vibe was great, the server was amazing and very knowledgeable, and the food was to die for. Definitely endorse the Brussel sprouts, the mac and cheese, and the filet. Both my cocktail and wine were amazing too! Will be back even if just for cocktail hour!

Great ambiance when you walk in. Service was outstanding and the food was excellent. Rich flavors and a good variety of sides. I started with the house Old Fashioned which was expertly made. I got an aged ribeye ordered at medium/plus. It was still a bit undercooked for me but was still excellent. We all shared the brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, and the sashito peppers. I had the half creaser which was a great start. After seeing the chocolate cake being delivered, we had to try it. Very well made rich, moist chocolate cake with layered mousse and a light peanut butter frosting. Definitely a great place to have a fine dining experience.

Went here for a work dinner. The appetizers and drinks were amazing. The dirty martini is rated one of the top drinks in the country, and for good reason. The steak was not great. Everyone in our group was underwhelmed. Overcooked steak and cold. I’d go here for a cocktail and appetizers, but probably skip the steak.

45 day aged bone-in Ribeye, Brussel Sprouts family style and a Filet Mignon for my wife. I am no connoisseur so I paired it with a coffee stout beer. I enjoyed the flavors as the steak melted in my mouth. The waitstaff is excellent and knowledgeable always available yet are unseen when not needed making for an enjoyable dinner.

Wow what a great steakhouse! It invites you in as soon as you walk through the doors. Great atmosphere, friendly and professional staff. Great cocktail, wine, and spirits selection. The food is prepared perfectly, had a 12 oz filet that was at least 3 inches thick and my wife has the 8oz., both cooked to a perfect warm pink in the middle. Great seasoning and sear to it. The side we ordered were really good too. White cheddar Mac n cheese and Brussel sprouts. Let me tell you... those brussel sprouts were delectable. Definitely going to come back.

We celebrated our 1st anniversary here on 10/02/2022. We ordered the filet mignon, the carved bistro filet, the aligot potatoes, and the roasted mushrooms & onions for our dinner. A mule & draft beer for drinks and crème brule with coffee for dessert. There were a couple of critiques throughout our meal, and I mean just a couple; mushrooms & onions were a little bit overdone and the coffee seemed old(we were ordering coffee at 9:30 pm). However, the compliments could go on for hours. The meat itself was cooked to perfection, I truly have never had a better steak. Both the frites and the aligot potatoes blew us away with their flavor and the crème brule had the best texture throughout. The staff was kind, friendly and attentive (Jordan was our server who made great suggestions, gave tastings and even took our photo for us) and the atmosphere was nothing less than relaxing; it was, all around, enjoyable. We have visited Nashville five years out of the past six and we will be adding Oak to our yearly stops. Thank you again for a perfect end to our anniversary, keep up the amazing work!

We had a wonderful Anniversary dinner! AC was a fabulous server! She took such good care of us. Very nice and attentive! And we also saw something incredible while at our table! There was a server (Matt) that was waiting on a nearby table. He actually removed an elderly mans boot for him so that he could retrieve the money he had stashed on it to pay for their meal. And then helped him put the boot back on! He was so kind to him! Now this is over and above great service! You have our vote for Nashville’s best Restaurant!

This post is all too late and was truly an unforgettable night. From the customer service to the wine, the custom touches'. This place is quality at its finest. I will start by saying that our waiter went above and beyond. We had enough mineral water to become fully hydrated. We started our appetites with the Artisinal Meat and Cheese Board. I will now get only this as my starter whenever I come here. Afterwards my wife ordered Gioia Rosato di Sangiovese. It is wine for those who do not know. Very rare blend. Thankfully that they had it. The wine with the meat and cheese gave an unbelievable flavor. For our main course we had steaks. And not just any steaks. Oak Steakhouse has Wagyu steaks! They are pretty expensive, but if you are coming here expect to spend at least $100 a person. Treat yourself. It is beautiful. Our steaks were made perfectly seasoned so that I did not need sauce. Along with the steaks, we had Atlantic Lobster with Mac and Cheese and a side of potatoes. I would recommend this place to anyone celebrating anything special, because it will be a night that you will not forget.

Amazing service from Cassie and the medium rare filets were perfect. The cut was super thick but cooked great. I wouldn't butterfly them despite others remarks. The cocktails were good, the bourbon selection was great. We've enjoyed dozens of the Nashville steakhouses, this is a top 2 and we will return.

I work throughout some of the best cities when it comes to steakhouses and I must say this was a top experience. Our waitress was Raven, beyond incredible. Recommendations were exactly what we wanted and the best service I’ve had. We met the area manager, GM and were greeted by the executive chef personally. Attention to detail of the plating, pairing of wine and dishes to our needs, and atmosphere of feeling at home. Absolutely spectacular!!

We ordered oysters rockefeller, the 16 ribeye & 12oz filet with a side of truffle fries. & oak chocolate cake we got to go for desert. You will likely need reservations but we'll worth it! Dillion was our waiter, he was fast, polite, just verry good service!

I don’t even know where to begin!!! The Service is absolutely first class and the Food was beyond amazing. They have literally the best Brussel Sprouts on the planet. We had an opportunity to talk to the General Manager, the Area Manager and the Chef while we enjoyed our amazing meal. They made us feel like family and went out of their way to ensure an unforgettable experience. The personal touch has made this one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in recent memory. If you are in town, make it a point to stop here. You won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic service! Our waitress and the manager are top notch! I hate that I forgot our waitress name (she’s from Pennsylvania and in a band) was outstanding! She made sure to recommend alternative dishes for my diet. However, the chicken was dry. The aesthetics and service is 5 star! The chicken was a 1. But they bounced back with the well seasoned steak my boyfriend had. It was phenomenal-5 stars! And the Old Fashion was the best I’ve ever tasted!

We came here for the first time as we were visiting Nashville from New York. The place looked great. Casual country cabin feel, yet elegant. Our waiter Logan was by far the best waiter we've ever had and the experience was brought to a whole another level despite the amazing food. Great steak restaurant on top of the hill in Nashville. The atmosphere is hip and classy. They have a full bar and even have a private dinning room upstairs for your private function. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Steaks are obviously their goto items to get on the menu. The steaks are really good, dont get me wrong, but I do think they are a bit overpriced. The sides are good as well. We had the Brussel sprouts and the mushrooms. Dessert was a little disappointing. They only had three items on the dessert menu and one of them they were sold out of. Only two items to pick from???

"Fancy" dinner night for my birthday. The lighting & environment is perfect. Not too dark & not too loud. The bartenders were funny & made the most refreshing drink. Our waiter Sean/Shawn was so inviting, funny & well versed on all of the items on the menu. All of the staff will acknowledge you every time they see you. Steak was the most perfect medium I've ever had! They even gave me a creme brulee with a candle/ no singing though, lol. Would definitely recommend this place.

The sides were delicious, but the steaks were ok at best for this level of restaraunt. Mine was over-salted (and I love salt), and my wife's was supposed to be medium but came out rare and cold in the middle. The server was phenomenal and got hers fixed. The sauces that can be ordered with steaks were all good. My wife liked the house sauce and I liked the compound truffle butter. Would go back in a pinch, but for this amount if money, there are better options in Nashville.

We love this steakhouse. Probably go once a month. Easy to get reservations or sit at the bar. Drinks are always perfect and if they arent they strive for excellence. We get the charcuterie board and beef tartar to start off they pair great together. Enjoy a salad we rotate between the chop and cesar cant go wrong. And they have an amazing selection on sides and entrees. They have this trio that is the best tatsing plate of steaks. We loved Heather but she moved and have had 3 different servers. Only one we thought was terrible so we ask to not be seated in her section. [She legit ruined my husbands birthday meal]

We went here for NYE and Valentine’s Day this year… because it’s that good! Highly recommend the oysters, tuna tataki, burrata, cab prime ribeye, mac and cheese (w/ bacon), and crispy Brussels sprouts. Can’t recommend house dirty martini (the house made olive brine is not very good) or the mushrooms and onions, but this didn’t affect our overall satisfaction. Our servers were incredible both visits. Will most definitely be back many times.

I had no idea what I was walking into but oh my was I blown away! After browsing yelp for 30 minutes in my hotel room trying to find the right place to have dinner, Oak kept popping up. I can be admittedly picky and indecisive when it comes to picking a place, but I’m always looking for good reviews, pictures that look good, and a solid menu. Oak checked off all the boxes so I decided to check them out. I sat at the bar and I appreciated the chill atmosphere. I was dressed casually and the host actually complimented my hat instead of making me take it off. I hate when I walk into some of these steakhouses and they’re looking at me crazy for having on casual clothes. I understand dress codes and respect them but it’s nice to be in a place that is more chill. I knew I was in a good place. From the moment I sat at the bar, one of the amazing bartenders, Brandon, jumped straight into action delivering great service. He helped me narrow down a cocktail choice and made great suggestions before taking my order and helping me decide on dinner. The food was incredible from top to bottom. I started with the grilled oysters. I was born and raised in Louisiana and these were hands down the best oysters I ever had. That BBQ butter is phenomenal. From there I had the wedge salad which was really good, followed by the 8 oz filet with the crabcake Oscar, truffle frites and Brussel sprouts. All of them were some of the best of I’ve had. The steak was cooked perfectly, the crab cake was all crab meat, barely any filler, the homemade steak sauce was soooo unexpectedly good and the brussel sprouts were perfectly cooked and seasoned with a really good sauce. And finally for dessert I had the chocolate cake which was really good and didn’t have too much of a peanut butter flavor from the mousse, which I liked. Throughout the meal, Brandon made me a couple of other cocktails based off of what I told him I liked and they were all so good! I can tell he, and the other two amazing bartenders- Victoria and Maggie, were all passionate about what they do. They appreciated the fact that I was easygoing and allowed them to make whatever drinks they felt like it for me and that that trust was there. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and honestly just pleasant to be around. Felt like I could’ve sat there hanging out with them all night. Having great food is one thing, Oak has that no problem. But it was the amazing service and experience that I had that has me wanting to go back. The next time I’m in Nashville, this is the first place I have to come to. Will you have the same experience as me? I honestly can’t say. I just know that if you have half the experience I was so blessed to have, it would still be 5 stars. That’s how great it was and how above and beyond Brandon, Maggie, and Victoria went to make sure I enjoyed my experience there!

I made reservations for a Sunday evening at 7:30pm. The restaurant was busy but not packed. I was seated immediately. There are a couple of parking lots ranging in price close by. There is also free parking on the street a little further up. The ambiance is nice. I got the 8oz filet mignon, white cheddar mac & cheese, brussel sprouts, and street corn. The steak was cooked as ordered, very tender and had a great taste. The sides were just as good. I also got a half cesar salad and the crème brûlée cheesecake. I got a tequila based cocktail on their drink menu. Everything was really good. Service was great. The bill was $300. I would return and I do recommend this restaurant. Make sure you go with good company.

This was an amazing place to dine at with really good food. I highly recommend the crab legs. A bit pricey but you should learn to live, love and laugh when you can! They even gave complimentary food and drinks to the birthday young lady! THE OAK ROCKS!

First off, I have to start with the food. We got the sweet corn tortellini, caesar salad, and tomahawk steak with the cheddar mac&cheese, alagot potatoes and grilled asparagus. The food was promptly served and absolutely delicious. Special shoutout to the sweet corn tortellini as being the most unique and delicious thing we ate. Second, and possibly most importantly, our service was impeccable. Shoutout to Chris for being the single most pleasant waiter and person in general we ever had the pleasure to interact with. He was extremely knowledgable about the origin of the food, and offered stellar recommendations on the food. We absolutely would come back simply to get to experience his warmth and kindness. Overall a 5 star experience and couldn't recommend highly enough to come try this place. Worth every penny and then some!

Had a great dinner and the biggest steak I've ever seen. Food was delicious and the price was what I expected. What I didn't expect is the service, it definitely did not match up to the rest of the experience which was disappointing. The atmosphere and overall space is fantastic, and I really like the individual bathrooms. I'd definitely go back but and I would hope to have better service. I'm hoping they were just overwhelmed because it was Valentine's day.

Fantastic steakhouse in Downtown Nashville! Excellent service where our server took care of use for every want or need. She even surprised us with a piece of decadent chocolate cake to celebrate my wife's birthday. Now to get down to brass tacks. The steaks are great, but the sides are what made the whole experience. The brussel sprouts are flash fried and the sauteed with what tastes like a sweet chili sauce. They are to die for. The beef fat potatoes melt in your mouth. No need for condiments on these bad boys. And the mushrooms... I'm not big on mushrooms, but I couldn't stop eating these. All in all the meal was one to remember. Oh, and that chocolate cake? Fantastic. The wife was in heaven with every bite. I even splurged for the carrot cake since that's my favorite dessert. I was not disappointed. It was probably the best carrot cake I've had the pleasure of enjoying. It also came with fried carrot shavings which I didn't know was something I even wanted, but ended up eating most of them. All in all, we will be back!

I don’t normally do reviews but felt the need because of how underwhelming my steak was. I consider myself very knowledgeable of all things steak. I dry age my own subprimal cuts of beef at home and take a lot of time and care into research on different methods of preparing both prime and wagyu cuts. Last night was my birthday so I was planning to splurge on a more than average portion of wagyu which runs $20 an ounce here. That’s a very solid price for Japanese A5 but the 22oz Bone-in ribeye got my attention, since it was one of the few steaks listed on the menu that was dry aged. I told my wife I’ll go with the dry aged over the wagyu strip I had planned on ordering if the ribeye was dry aged over 45 days. Our server (who was awesome by the way) told us it was a 70 day aged ribeye. That was certainly enough for me to pull the trigger but I have to admit I was skeptical because the price point was much lower than expected for such a longer than average dry age. Pricing typically goes up the longer the beef is aged because you don’t yield as much weight, thus driving the cost up. My skepticism ended up being true. I hate saying this but this steak barley rivaled the bone in ribeye at a Texas Roadhouse chain. In no way did my steak reflect any characteristics of a dry aged piece of beef. No extra tenderness and not even a hint of the funky blue cheese flavor that comes with steaks aged 45+ days. Now let me say, we got the scallops as an app and those were some of the best I’ve had. All of the sides we ordered, mac and cheese, frites, and brussel sprouts were excellent. My wife took me here for my birthday dinner so I didn’t have the heart to tell her or the staff just how disappointed I was in the steak but had it been a casual occasion I would have voiced my concern in person. 3 out of 5 stars mainly because of how friendly our server was and the sides and apps being good.

First our server Andy was the best! Very knowledgeable of the preparation and details to each dish. We started with a crab cake, and my wife loved it! She doesn't eat sea food by the way. The Brussel sprouts and potatoes were amazing! We both had about 5 cocktails for the bourbon lovers i highly recommend the Manhattan. I also loved the grizzly.

Great service, warm atmosphere. We sat on the upper level which was so much more private. Our waitress, Leah, was awesome. She was prompt and took time to explain a few items and make some fabulous suggestions. Our steals were cooked perfectly, he had the new York strip and I had the filet! The wine was great. The sides for the table....awesome! We had the potatoes and Mac and cheese. We went for his birthday, so dessert was on the house. We got the chocolate icebox cake that had some caramel gelato from Italy with it. The chocolate icebox cake was great y'all, but that gelato was amazing!!!!!

This place was EXCELLENT! My wife and I had been looking to have a tomahawk steak and octopus we decided this would be the place for our anniversary. That was the deciding factor in coming here specifically. Upon entering the place they were real professional and courteous. The waitress was very detail oriented and as she poured water into a glass she saw had some smears immediately swapped glasses super stealthy. Now for the food... Octopus- I started with this because it was the least favorite. I liked it, tasted like seafood and was juicy. It was charred but unfortunately to the point it was bitter. Not too bad where it messed up the meal but not what I was expecting. I like char but once you start going bitter it takes away from the flavor. This could've been because of their marinade but unfortunately not something I would order again. Carpaccio-AMAZING. Literally melts in your mouth. The bread was toasted just perfect. I would seriously make this alone my meal. Tomahawk 36oz- I don't even know where to start on this piece of art. The presentation automatically brings a smile to your face. Its cut up for you and ready to be plated. The bacon jam and house sauce were awesome compliments to the steak and I usually like mine without anything else. The medium cook was perfect and the juiciness in each bite was just absolutely delicious. This was charred just right and I will definitely be back for this. Is it expensive? Very. Is it worth it? Yes. I highly recommend coming and splitting it with friends just to try it at least once. You'll all have something delicious to remember always.

Stopped in for lunch while in town for a trade show. My husband had the lobster grilled cheese and soup, sister had shrimp pasta and I had the shrimp chop salad with a side of Brussels. Everything was delicious! The lobster grilled cheese and brussels were the star of the show. I also had a coffee which comes out in a lovely French press. I can wait to eat here again!!

Went there to celebrate a birthday. Order tomahawk steak, it was delicious. Only i wish they asked if you want it pre cut or in ontr peace. I would say in one peace, they brought it cut. It was convenient, but i would still prefer see it in one peace. Filet mignon was excellent too. Other than that, it was a nice quiet experience for special occasions.

My husband booked us a reservation to celebrate our anniversary. Confirmation was confirmed for 8 but when we arrived at 8:02, after using valet parking, the hostess shared our table would be available shortly for our 8:15 reservation. Okay then...moving on. Our dinner was amazing! The crab cake appetizer was out of this world! I ordered a filet and my husband had a ribeye. Mine was cooked perfectly and evenly to a medium. The season was on point. It did have some charring from the grill and some parts of the filet tasted burnt do to the charring but it didn't completely ruin the steak. This was my only complaint about the food. We enjoyed the ice box cake for dessert. The table next to us was celebrating their anniversary too. We overheard the server wish them congratulations and we started talking with them about how we were celebrating. Our server overheard us and ended up bringing us complimentary champagne which was super thoughtful and appreciated. He had already brought the table next to ours champagne. We thanked him for the drinks and he told us when we book the reservation you can indicate the occasion. My husband said he did that. So it seems that quite possibly the hostess mixed us up with the 8:15 reservation. That and the slightly burnt filet is the reason I'm only rating 4 stars! I would still dine here again though. I loved the ambiance. Overall great dining experience and would recommend.

Came here for an anniversary and I cannot praise the food, service, and atmosphere enough. I try to taste steaks from all over as much as a person possibly can and the Oak had the absolute best I had ever had in my entire life and the drinks were also some of the best I've ever had. I had the dry aged Kansas city stip with a frenemy and another drink the waitress had recommended. The steak I cannot even begin to describe, cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. First one I've ever had that was this delicious. The drink was perfectly balanced and reminded me of a beyond perfect lemon drop. Perfect steakhouse and I cannot recommend enough.

We were in a pretty large business group, so that is my caveat. With that said, the service was good, but not exemplary. The appetizers were also good, but not incredible. The NY Strip was a little overcooked, but not so much as to send it back. The asparagus was very good, and Brussels sprouts were absolutely incredible. This was by far some of the best steak I've had anywhere. The restaurant was amazing. We had a very knowledgeable waiter who even gave us tips on local spots to go to after dinner. I had the A5 Japanese Wagyu NY strip and it was literally like butter. I could have cut it with a spoon that's how tender it was. It was cooked to perfection and hit with a little flakey salt on top. Ok, so I'm going to make this easy for you. You want to order the house Old Fashioned. A few of them. No, don't look at the prices on the menu. Next, once you get to your table, you're going to want to go with the Beef Carpaccio and the Cheese and Meat Board. Trust me. Ours came with a rabbit terrine and just wow. Next, go with the 22oz Dry Aged Bone In Ribeye. I had mine with the foie gras and the black truffle butter, but you don't need both. Unless you're fat like me. We had 4 people, so we got the asparagus, the aligot potatoes, and the mac and cheese for the table. I defy you to not like this meal.

We’re 24 and look young so I assume that’s why we got a horrible table right by the bar so I have no clue the ambiance in the dining room. They have a beautiful ceiling and chandelier when you first walk in. Okay he cocktails were really good as well. We got the bacon and it was mostly fat, my boyfriend likes it though. I got the chicken and it was bland and not memorable, with slaw and my favorite part was the slaw, it was very good. He got steak and said it was amazing. Not too happy since we spent over $150. Overall pleasant experience at the bar. Ordered the 8oz filet at medium rare and came out with a temperature around medium well and fairly dry. For the price point, I would have expected closer to the range of request. Bartender beverages are well created and tasted amazing! However, my only concern was watching the bartender drop the fruit peeler on the ground and rinsed under sink faucet for roughly 5 seconds in total before using to peel numerous oranges and lemons for nightly prep. Their bread rolls are off the chart delicious and the brussel sprouts are very flavorful and made very well.

Decided to stop in for some last minute dining and we had a great meal. We made a dinner of a bunch of small plates and sides and were very satisfied. The waitstaff was helpful, service was good, and food was tasty. Jordan and Danny were helpful and friendly. 10/10 for buttered rolls, but of course the scallops were very satisfying. Took 3 days to get reservations. But it was worth it. Food and service was great. I love the decor and ambiance. Our server's name was Andy, and was very pleasant. I had the prime ribeye cooked medium rare and was perfect. The peppercorn sauce on the side was delicious and for a few dollars more I highly recommend it. I would definitely go back. Prices are about average to just above average for a good steakhouse.

You know a place is exceptional when they close 2 hours after you've finished eating and the wait staff never makes you feel like you're imposing on their free time. The wait staff was impeccable the food was amazing and the service was beyond top-notch. We had a table of at least 15 and everyone felt the individual service of the entire wait staff which was perfection.

Very nice place. We usually do the steakhouse in Marriott when we're in town but wanted to try something different. I got the NY strip. Asked for it medium but it was overcooked. By a lot. Here's the kicker... I ate it anyways. It had such an amazing sear on both sides that I cut around the overdone parts and still enjoyed it. Definitely will try again but next time I'll make sure to get a correctly cooked steak.

I recently went to Oak Steakhouse with some old colleagues to celebrate and left a bit disappointed. First off, the staff were all very kind and knowledgeable. They recommended the brussels sprouts, which were some of the best I've ever had. When it came time for dessert, our server recommended the chocolate cake, which was both decadent and very good. Unfortunately, every guests' steak was severely undercooked. And I'm not talking about one level over or underdone (i.e. ordering a medium steak and getting medium rare). Everyone at the table ordered their steak medium and what we got were, at best, rare. One of the things I enjoy most about nice steakhouses is you typically get a steak cooked exactly as you like it. I'm not one to complain, but most of my steak was so rare that I couldn't even eat it. Other than this, our experience was great - but it's hard to rate a steakhouse higher than 3 stars when the biggest disappointment in the meal was the steak itself. (Note: this isn't a knock on the quality of Oak's steak either, which seemed to be very good).

TLDR, expensive price for sub-par food and below the bar service. We were visiting Nashville for the first time and after a searching for a nice steakhouse we arrived at Oaks. We were sat and asked sparkling or regular water, explained to about a pretty self explanatory drink menu, something about 1 specific appetizer they were out of and our server left to give us a minute to look. She arrived back and we decided on a drink and informed us all food orders were taken at the same time and to decide on all at once (apps, salads, entrees, ect) she disappeared. She arrived again with drinks, mine was decent, my fiancés was terrible. We placed our food order, after having to drag out of her some information about the menu items... she disappeared and was seen once when app was dropped off and not again until after entrees were delivered. Someone other than out server brought us rolls, which we didn't even know was a thing until he dropped them off 5 mins before our meal came out. Someone else refilled our waters a couple times, clear app plates and generally seemed more concerned, during brief interaction, with our visit than our actual server. Our steaks were ordered med rare. My fiancés was cooked correctly, mine however was rare. It was warm all the way through so I decided I'd just keep it as we had been there an about hour or so at this point. The steak was good, it wasn't 60/70 dollars a steak good though. The aligot potatoes were great, as was the bacon app but mushrooms were not very good texture. I left feeling disappointed. A $300 dinner here was a sub-par experience for the cost. I've had better steak, and I've definitely had better service for less. I wouldn't recommend.

I actually just left this restaurant! My husband and I sat at the bar, (we didn't have reservations) and had drinks first. The bartender (Brandon), and the barback, (Kyle), were fantastic. They are truly cocktail artists. Very professional, and so friendly, even when it got busier. The food was soooo good, --we had several "small plates", including scallops with hazelnuts and a sunchoke puree, encrusted tuna , and beef tartare. All were heavenly. An explosion of flavors in every bite. Dessert finished off our evening. A butterscotch bondito with a lovely creme fraiche, and caramel. Perfect. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I highly recommend The Oak Steakhouse.

When we first walked in we were greeted with a warm welcoming smile from the host. The place looks beautiful and it has uplifting vibes. The staff at Oak Steakhouse were very knowledgeable and friendly. We came out to celebrate our two year anniversary and I will happily admit it was the best choice of the night. My wife and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary here and I put a note when making the reservation about this. They made it so special from the moment we walked in! Yes, this place is pricey but it is on par with the other high-end steakhouses in Nashville. I can honestly say I think the filet I had was one of the best ones I've ever had. Phenomenal filet mignon. Do not butterfly it!!! I was glad the server asked if wanted it butterflied or not. And the black truffle butter was excellent also the Mac and cheese was awesome. Not cheap but Worth every penny! Staff was very nice courteous and informative.

Ended up eating at the bar. Brandon was super accommodating. All the staff was pleasant and helpful. We had the rabbit which was absolutely delicious and it’s something I will want again. I let Brandon choose my two cocktails and they were very yummy. Sorry I have no idea what they were. We ordered the ribeye which was plenty to share and the carrots and mashed potatoes. The sides were delicious. I would’ve given a 5 star but I did feel the ribeye was just good. For $58 and being a steakhouse I was looking for GREAT steak. The atmosphere is gorgeous and you’re so close to Broadway you can make a night out of it. Would definitely go again but would probably try a filet not a ribeye. Like I said though the steak was good just not great. 😊

The restaurant is beautiful and continues the oak them throughout light fixtures, decor, and furnishings. Service is exceptional - friendly, helpful, but unobtrusive. The food is fantastic. The crispy brussels sprouts are the stuff of dreams, steaks are flavorful, and seafood is fresh and perfectly cooked. The dessert menu is small, but the creme brulee and chocolate cake are exceptional. There is also a good whiskey selection for those so inclined.

I have tried many great steak restaurants in Nashville and they all have strengths. I was impressed with so many aspects of Oak on our recent visit. My steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. The sides were equally as good. Often the sides don't keep up with the steaks at some establishments, but Oak delivers here. The brussel sprouts were my favorite. The service and atmosphere were stellar. We tried three appetizers and the pork belly was my favorite. The desserts were also great. I would do the chocolate cake. Feeds several people. Oak is a great edition to Nashville's restaurant options. I think we will be back again soon!

We went here for my bachelorette party and it did not disappoint. The service was beyond our expectations as well as the food! Andy was our server and his twin brother Matt even made an appearance at our table to wish me congratulations! Andy went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. The GM Dom also was GREAT. He was out on the floor talking with the guests and helping serve which was great to see! When we left Jessie talked with us outside making us even more happy we chose Oak Steak house. The hospitality was superior!

This is the second time we have eaten here. Our first experience was wonderful and this time was no different. We were celebrating our anniversary and my husband’s birthday. Andy was our server and, just like his brother who was our server last time, he was a joy. Our food was delicious, and after talking about how delicious crispy brussels were yet my husband not liking brussel sprouts, he brought out some with our dinner which was so nice! The staff also happily obliged to surprise my husband and bring a piece of cake out with a candle for his birthday! We have just been treated so well both times. We couldn’t recommend Oak enough! We dined her 7/2 for a dinner after our small Nashville elopement and the food and service was exceptional! Jessie was our server and she was amazing with everything. She recommended items and explained everything for us. We had drinks, salad, entree, and sides and everything was perfect! It was 100% worth the price for an excellent dinner to celebrate our wedding! Since it is dining during Covid, we also felt so safe. Temps checks at entry, staff all wearing masks and they kept them on the whole time. Tables were spaced out appropriately per Davidson Co mandates. I also watched staff clean a few tables while we were at our and they did a great job with that.

Excellent dining experience! Celebrated an anniversary and was impressed with the friendly greetings and little details like a small champagne flute toast that was their surprise to us. Typical prices for upscale steakhouses so don't plan on a cheap bill, but all steaks were well prepared and side dishes were great for sharing. Manager was very personable to ensure our experience was to our liking, and the atmosphere was nice for a date night dinner before heading out to hear some live music later! Recommend the visit!

Oaks Steakhouse is amazing! The atmosphere was great. We didn't feel like we were being rushed in and out, like at other places and there's not a ton of tables so it's not crowded. The Wagyu steaks were FANTASTIC!! I'm not a big steak person, but this was delicious! I ate every bite!! And, of course, we had to try a dessert - it was more than expected, like the rest of the meal. Our waitress was so sweet and took her time with us. Made us feel very welcome. I had a great first experience at Oak. Beautiful decor, wish I took pics. Our waiter, David did an excellent job. Pricey but would return again. I tried items I never had before or had at other establishments but not as tasty. Lol, bare with me but had the opportunity of sampling porkbelly (which I now regret not getting an appetizer) caesar salad, CAB Prime Tomahawk, mac & cheese with bacon, aligot potatoes, truffle fries (omg..) brussel sprouts, salted rolls, moscato was excellent, Caysum (a different experience and pleasant outlook on red wine, it wasn't dry and harsh...I was extremely smooth. Lastly, I had caramel creme brulee with charred pineapples.

I run a business here in Nashville and often have guests from our corporate office here in town. We have tried several restaurants here and many have been great. However, Oak Steakhouse has been our favorite by a mile. The steaks have come out perfectly cooked consistently. The bread is fresh hot and served with honey butter. The sides are all great, my favorite is the Brussel Sprouts. Even the craft cocktails are out of this world. If you have a chance try the Old Fashion or the Black Sparrow, both are delicious. My favorite thing about this restaurant is the staff. I have been here at least 8 times and every time they offered a free appetizer, a great recommendation for a new dish, or a different way to try an existing dish. The blue cheese crust on their steaks is amazing by the way. I can’t say enough about my experiences at this restaurant. A truly 5 star experience. Don’t miss while visiting Nashville

We were spending a night in Nashville and drove by Oak steakhouse downtown We read reviews and decided to try. Best decision. Our meal started with service from Matt. He was fantastic!!! We had the ribeye topped with King Crab ( very good), mashed potatoes melt in your mouth. The star of the meal was the hot yeast rolls and the Brussels Sprouts . The Brussel Sprouts were the best side dish we have ever had. Great place, I will visit again.

Amazing food and wait staff. We had a party of 6 foodies who can be persnickety. We had appetizers, BBQ octopus, crab cakes and oysters, each were delicious. Salads were very good with the right amount of dressing, tossed from the kitchen. The steaks were perfect and seasoned perfectly. The CAB certification lives up the hype and with the month. We had the chocolate and carrot cake for dessert, delicious. Plenty to share between 6 people. It is not a cheap place to eat, but it’s with it. Definitely a do over.

Honestly, the best steak I have ever had! Be prepared to wait a little bit for them to slow cook, but well worth it. The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly and all of the side dishes (brussels and sweet potato hash) were amazing. The sauces paired great. I opted for their house made steak sauce and it was a great compliment to the oak flavor of the steak. The ambience is beautiful and not like some crazy steak house. You can actually have a conversation with those around you without feeling like you're shouting. Service was fantastic. Jordan was our server and did not steer us wrong :) I would highly recommend.

We chose Oak Steakhouse for a birthday celebration. A special occasion at a top notch restuarant! We loved the atmosphere, our waitress Hannah, and the food was superb! First of all, I will say that the food was very good and the servers were very friendly. However, the food took far too long to come out of the kitchen. Absolutely top shelf. Had a very nice perfectly cooked ribeye. Reasonable selection of whiskeys and a very good selection of wines. It was not very noisy in the dining room and we could easily talk amongst ourselves at our table without a lot of background noise of other tables or the dining room in general. Everything about this place is wonderful, from the acorn decor and oak themes throughout to the locally sourced delicious food. Had a tremendous dinner and even better experience last night at Oak Steakhouse. Our table was available 5-10 minutes after our reservation time, which was absolutely not a problem on a busy Saturday night, yet three people apologized profusely. We could tell from the get-go that these people cared! We were sat at a comfortable table along the edge of their very stylish dining room and immediately met our very friendly and very capable server, Jordan. The next couple of hours brought us craft cocktails, fine wines, unique appetizers (try the Kilpatrick oysters!), friendly banter, perfectly seasoned and cooked steaks, to-die-for sides, attentive service and a decadent dessert. The entire staff was a delight, from Jordan, to the numerous bussers that kept our water glasses filled and never had a miss when bringing us our food and drink to the two managers that checked in on us. Either they mistook one of us for a celebrity, or this team is very professional. My money’s on the latter. Whether you’re a trust fund baby or you need to scrimp and save to eat here, do yourself a favor and check out Oak Steakhouse!

However, our server was excellent and she changed out the "fishy" oyster that was left on the plate for a new one that we knew we liked. Had dinner at the Oak last night and service was prompt. I ordered the Ribeye medium rare but it came medium. They offered me another steak medium rare which I gladly accepted. My waitress was very good. The wine was fabulous and I had two glasses. The side was the sweet potato hash which I found a bit too spicy but didn't come for that. Dessert was a nice bread pudding and I topped it off with an espresso. A very pleasurable dining experience and I will definatly be coming back.

Fantastic service and great food. Our server Heather was delightful. We loved the crispy pork belly that was ordered as a starter, especially the salad underneath. It was the perfect balance between the richness of the fatty pork with acidity. We also really enjoyed the tomahawk ribeye and the side of brussel sprouts we had as our main. In addition to all the mains we enjoyed, my wife said she would return based solely on the delicious pannacotta she had for dessert. Oak is definitely a Nashville steakhouse that should not be missed.

Absolutely incredible food and above average service. I cannot say enough about the quality of the experience I had here. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. The side items were tasty, and they even brought us a bonus charcuterie board of misc items for free. When I think of Steakhouses in Nashville, this is currently my first choice.

My wife and I are in Nashville for the week for our honeymoon (Got married on Saturday the 23rd) and we wanted to have a nice dinner together to celebrate. We saw this place walking the streets on monday and decided to give it a shot tonight. It was absolutely AMAZING in every way from the beginning of when we walked in to the moment we left. My wife got the short rib dinner and I can assure you there was nothing short about it. It was a huge meal and was absolutely delicious. I went for the 22 ounce dry aged bone in rib eye and it was the best steak I've ever had ! When being friendly with our waitress we told her at the beginning of the meal we were on our honeymoon, she ended up buying our dessert for us. We got the apple pie and it was fantastic! When we come back to Nashville again, we will absolutely be coming back here!

My lady and me came in for our anniversary, and had a fantastic experience. Server was knowledgeable. Dry aged ribeye is the best steak I've had in forever. The idea is scary, but you'll be glad you took the chance. The sides were ok, but the entree more than picked up the slack. They even gifted us 2 glasses of wine to help us celebrate. Highly recommend.

Really good dinner. Ambiance was really nice and modern. I got the bone in filet mignon and we got the macaroni and cheese, sauteed mushrooms and onions, and the fingerling potatoes with parmesan cheese. All delicious. My husband and I took my mother to Oak Steakhouse for dinner for Mother's Day and the meal was impeccable from start to finish. The service was wonderful - I'm sorry that I can't remember our server's name, but she was a sweetheart. The manager also came by our table a couple of times over the course of our meal to check on everything was, and she had a compliment for someone at our table each time. We started off with two appetizers - the smoked ricotta ravioli and the crab cake. The ravioli was my favorite of the two - the pasta was perfectly al dente, and the ricotta filling was delicious. For our entrees, my mother and I both ordered the 8 ounce filet mignon. I ordered mine medium rare with horseradish cream. To my pleasant surprise, the steak was actually cooked medium rare (at many restaurants a medium rare steak is anywhere from rare to medium well). It was tender and very flavorful, and the horseradish cream was a nice touch. My husband ordered the 14 ounce NY strip and he ate every bite. For the table, we ordered two sides. The sides are large and meant to be shared. We ordered the mac and cheese with bacon, and the truffle frites. Mac and cheese with such a nice meal is a little strange, but it was some of the best mac and cheese I've ever had. Creamy and wonderful. The frites were nice and crispy. In addition to the incredible food, I also enjoyed a cocktail called Leda and The Swan, which was sweet without being too sugary (a great recommendation from our server!). Until now, Etch has been my favorite upscale dining experience in Nashville and it's still up there in the top 3. But Oak Steakhouse is a serious contender! I didn't even talk about the beautiful interior, but you'll just have to go and see it for yourself! We've already made another dinner reservation for my birthday in a couple of weeks : )

I planned the visit to Oak Steakhouse with a reservation for my girlfriend and I about a week and a half before the Music City Bowl. After a poor showing by Purdue (where we are both students), it was a much needed night out. When we arrived for the evening, it was pretty busy because of the bowl game (quite a few people were wearing Purdue attire and were probably there to forget about the game). However, because I made a reservation about a week and a half earlier, we were seated rather quickly. Our server for the evening, Catherine, was charming and excellent. She gave great recommendations for our meal and was attentive enough to keep our glasses full, but gave enough space for a young twenty-something couple to have a very pleasant evening. Now for the food. We began our night with the Smoked Ricotta Ravioli. The pasta itself had a smoky, almost nutty flavor that pairs perfectly with the kale, pecans, and sweet potatoes. The apples also added the right touch of acidity to the dish. The two of us had the 8oz Hanger Steak as our main course for the night and we both thought it was hands-down the most well-cooked steak we had ever had. The truffles, onions, and sauce added to the already stellar taste of the meat. We also got a side of the Three Cheese Mac as a much needed “comfort food” after the football game. If you don’t think that mac and cheese could get any better, you need to try this. It’s seriously that good. Dessert needs an entirely separate paragraph because, as Catherine described it, “Anything you would find in heaven is on the dessert menu.” Boy was she right. We had the Salted Dark Chocolate Pot de Creme. The custard itself is thick enough to make your spoon need a little extra oomph to cut through it, but not so thick that it coats the mouth. The caramel drizzle on the popcorn was just sticky enough to make your teeth stick together, but the custard really helps to take care of that. The best way to eat it, in my opinion, is to eat some of the popcorn and then take a bite of the custard to really bring out the contrast between the salt and custard. It was, indeed, a heavenly experience. The entire dining experience was fantastic. Excellent wait staff, excellent food, great atmosphere, and above all, a perfect way to end our time in Music City before heading home the next day. We will definitely be back the next time we find ourselves in Nashville.

We ordered the bacon appetizer, ceasar salad, tarter, wagyu steak, short rib, sides of mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts; finished it with creme brule. Fabulous food and great atmosphere. I had a filet which was superb; along with unbelievable bacon appetizer (thickest bacon I've ever seen, very tender, and DELICIOUS!). The truffle fries I only ordered for carbs, but they ended up being absolutely amazing, and I hate brussle sprouts but tried theirs and couldn't believe how delicious they were! Highly recommend for a fancy dining experience.

Last night we visited The Oak Steakhouse for date night. We had a great time. Chris was our waiter and we had impeccable service and he was very attentive. The wife has the scallops which she describes as the best she had ever eaten! I ordered the A5 waygu, it was delicious, no knife needed! So tender and favor full. The brussels sprouts with chili sauce was some of the best brussels I have ever eaten. And I’m a big fella and eaten a lot of brussels sprouts! We will most definitely be back!!

Was at a group event so we had a limited menu. All of the appetizers were amazing and my filet was a perfect medium rare. My husband's grouper and dessert were just ok. Didn't take off any stars because the service was so on point. Can't wait to go again.

I’m from Texas and I would say this is just as good as any steak house in Texas! Second post 8 months later: this place still doesn’t disappoint. We have many options for cities to stay as a halfway point to the Northeast. We chose Nashville and a large part of the reason is for this steak house conveniently located to the Westin. This is such a great place. I went there twice and both the time the food was great! If you are there, do try their octopus. But my review is more about the great experience I had with their staff. I was sitting alone and the server (Claire) attended to me. She made sure my food was gluten free (BTW they have yummy gluten free bread and with honey butter it was absolutely scrumptious). Not only that, I received a complimentary gluten free key lime pie.

My husband and I enjoyed our experience at Oak Steakhouse. Hubby ordered rabbit for an appetizer and he loved it. We ordered an aged NYStrip for 70 and shared. It melted in your mouth literally. The only thing I didnt like was a sort of mushroom like muttony taste but in all fairness, the waiter did mention it (although I was thinking it would not b that strong). I've had other aged steak that didnt have that flavor. Next time I will try a regular (not aged) steak there. We had carrots which were full size grilled carrots of different colors (white, purple, orange) and I didnt like the bitter taste of those carrots either (guess I'm used to regular sweet orange carrots lol). We ordered potatoes and they were pretty good. My favorite thing was the gluten free bread hot out of the oven. Such a nice surprise. This is a very expensive restaurant so b prepared to spend 150 to 200 for 2.

Oak Steakhouse is an overall very pleasant experience. The ambience of the restaurant is lovely. It has class but doesn't alienate any guests by seeming overly upscale. The food, however, is definitely upscale. Everything my table ordered (steak, mac & cheese, asparagus, brussel sprouts, truffle frites, the chocolate cake and a variety of drinks) were outstanding. All the steaks, from medium well to medium rare, were cooked to exactly the liking of each of our party and were very high quality. The steaks are CAB or Certified Angus Beef or there are two Wagyu steaks available. The sides are mid sized and I personally would recommend 1 per person in the party. Grab a variety, you won't regret having a lot of options. Our waiter, Ian, gave us excellent service and any other staff we interacted with were great as well. This is definitely my family's favorite steakhouse in Nashville and we will be returning for sure.

Excellent service! My husband and I started with chopped salads and testamento malbec (which was amazing). I ordered the dry aged ribeye and it was the best steak I'd ever had. A friend and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Oak Steakhouse, and the experience was impeccable. Our server, Catie, carried a sincere, welcoming energy, and delivered a thorough well-versed demonstration of the menu. We started with a handful of small plates that did not disappoint – we recommend the rabbit, ricotta ravioli, steak tar tar, and crab cake. The crispy brussels sprouts, glazed carrots, and aligot potatoes were perfect sides to accompany our 8 oz filet mignons (which were, of course, prepared to perfection). Our table was visited by two different managers to ensure an enjoyable experience throughout the evening – which we both felt was a nice touch of service excellence. We will certainly be back!

It's been our favorite steak house by far—nothing else came close—and we’ve raved about it to friends regularly (that’s the reason two of them wanted to try it). But on Sunday, everything was marginal: service, food, experience. Nothing was terrible, but every part of the night was only acceptable. First, we waited probably 15 mins. before anyone came to greet us at the table. Then, our server wasn’t attentive. Consistent with the evening, she didn’t totally ignore us—she just wasn’t regularly available—when we needed something (we asked other servers for extra bread, for example). Then, one of our steaks (a ribeye) was tough or the other (a filet) seemed much smaller than the menu suggested. Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but we'll never say to our friends—either from Nashville or out of town--"You MUST try this place--it's the best steakhouse in the country" because it's clearly not, at least based on our Sunday dinner. So, if your time is limited in Nashville, go to Kayne Prime. It may be a bit more, but the small difference in price will be well worth it.

Best steaks you'll find in Nashville, they are very juicy and have a great selection. Their sides change seasonally but are always delicious. Get the Brussels sprouts and the sweet potatoes with jumbo marshmallows if they have it, you won't regret it. Bonus: after you've eaten, head to the top of the Westin for a great view of downtown and some more cocktails.

Very nice place. Exceptional food. Don't feel you get a great value but if you are looking to impress you wouldn't go wrong here. Had to dock a star because the placemats had a bad smell. They must be ran through the dishwasher and mine had an odor. Talked with the waitress and she was very nice and handled it. Edit: The owner has taken their time to respond to the issue and that says a lot about a place! I really can't wait to come back. Top notch service from the waitresses as well.

Went a couple weeks before Christmas 2019. There were 4 of us and we ate in the main dining room. Service was very good and friendly. We like to have fun with our servers and ours took all of our shenanigans and silly jokes in stride. Food was quite tasty. We had a couple of apps, a salad and several entrees (steak of course) and all was well prepared and good tasting. We did think it was a tad overpriced. Not crazy egregiously priced but pretty high for what it was. This may be subjective for some but I definitely had a little sticker shock when the bill came. The drinks had a lot to do with that though. Finally, the ambiance. The restaurant is attractive inside and seats are comfortable but, my god, the lighting is horrible. There are practically no lights in the downstairs dining room. It's very very dim, which isn't the worst thing but then there are these 25' tall, floor-to-ceiling windows that face 8th ave. and the main lighting is accomplished but this horrible, orange colored, street light from outside. It's one of those off-color, high pressure sodium street lamps and it is just sickly colored. I absolutely hated sitting by it because it is the most unappealing lighting source I can imagine. Truly. No bueno. So in summation, would have been a 5 star experience if the price were just a little more inline with the market but really the deduction comes from that awful lighting. I really was uncomfortable because of it. The upstairs seems to be lighted much better but they didn't seem to be seating up there for some reason.

Amazing food! there's honestly nothing negative to say about the taste of all the entrees that we had, which include the fillet mignon, sauteed mushrooms, goat cheese salad, the ice chest from the raw bar, mashed potatoes, charred octopus, lamb, and two of the dry aged cuts. Our issue was the service. There's no need or reason as to why service was that slow and unattentive. It wasn't that packed. They just seemed unorganized. It took twenty minutes to get drinks. for the duration of two and a half hours, our waiter only stopped by four times... To bring food and drinks, never to check in or see if we needed anything. FYI, it was a $500 meal. Service should be better.

The oak steakhouse is in the center of downtown Nashville. You need to park at the valet of the Westin but Oak will validate your parking for you so it's convenient. The restaurant has wheelchair-accessible seating and there's an elevator to take you to the second floor where the restrooms are located. Now to the food. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. The servers are not stuffy but they still treat you like royalty. I recommend the brussels sprouts and the Giffords bacon. The steakes are very good as well. The atmosphere is also not stuffy but still nice. The server told us everything is farm-to-table and everything was very fresh and tasty. Looking forward to going back and trying some of the other entrees. They still serve beef tartare the old-fashioned way. I highly recommended if you're going to be in downtown Nashville

The wife and I are foodies and have eaten at alot of places. I would put Oak in the number 1 or 2 of all time! We started with the charred octopus (try it, it wasn't chewy and had awesome flavor!), for our meals I had the swordfish steak and my wife got a filet. For our sides we got the mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. My issue with most restaurants we go to is the meats are cheap if you know what your eating and mostly the flavors are lacking. NOT AT OAK! Everything was delicious and high quality. The swordfish was fresh and perfectly cooked. My wife's filet was also cooked to perfection and was high quality beef! Then the brussel sprouts, oh Lord these things are a delicacy all on their own. I don't know what they do to them but it's amazing! Do yourself a favor and go to Oak. Don't hesitate or even think about it. One last weird side note, their couch styled seats with pillows were also very comfortable and service was outstanding. We will be back!

Great decor, yet relaxed and inviting. We ordered the parmesan truffle frietes as an appetizer, were delighted with them and the fresh rolls. The 8oz filet was perfect and had great flavor without sauce. The three cheese macaroni is a must. We topped it off with dark chocolate cake for dessert.

The bar staff (I forget their names, but the young woman with blonde hair and tattoos and the brunette really know local faire) and the filet were amazing. The goat cheese and beet salad was fantastic. I love when you find staff that know they have great food and drink. Flawless meal from apps, wine and entrees. Excellent, excellent fillet, octopus and sides. Service was stellar. Celebrated anniversary and it was recognized by the manager. Exceptional evening and highly recommend.

Great place for a work dinner. The food was incredible, and atmosphere very upscale. Get the Ribeye! Only complaint was the valet parking... they were horribly slow, and seem thrown off by manual transmissions.

Of course the world is crazy right now but they did an outstanding job of serving a menu with lots of choices (I don't know if it was the full menu or not) The service was good and attentive all while enforcing mask, temp checks, and social distancing and the food was perfectly prepared. I would give it a 5* but the price is above the food for a steakhouse. Overall the restaurant is a solid 4.5 as service was outstanding as was the entire restaurants layout and presentation. I have eaten at plenty of steakhouses and price was not equal to the steaks.

I have not eaten here . I was picking up a order for postmates the lady and the bar keep making faces , and was rude . Then the hostess came over and apologized that they don’t do postmates orders anymore and that is fine I understand that . So now I guess the reason the lady was being rude is because she knows postmates don’t tip .
