Reviews of Luogo

Fresh delicious pasta with big servings that also comes in half orders? Sign me up!
Their cold brew infused Negroni is also one of the best cocktails my husband had in a while. We shared a grilled Caesar (only complaint of not enough salad, too much delicious crouton), but someone might prefer that. Our server Brandon was wonderful and actually talked us out of ordering more food due to portion sizes. But I secretly wished for leftovers after we tasted these pastas… Wish sharing a salad and 2 pastas we actually took leftovers home.
Biggest advice for this restaurant - bring friends to share more food!

Absolutely loved our dinner at Luogo! All of our drinks & food were beautiful and came with generous portions. Our server made great recommendations: we started with the potatoe & zucchini chips and split the speck cream sauce pasta and the bolognese between the two of us. Everything was delicious! They also offer 1/2 sizes of their pasta if you want to try several and don’t have someone to split it with. For dessert, our server suggested the banana pudding which was absolutely incredible, highly recommend. We took home a lot of leftovers which tasted just as good, if not better the next day. This is definitely my new favorite Italian place in Nashville!

Had a great time at Luogo this past weekend with an out-of-town friend! The place was packed on this Thursday night and the energy was great! Recommendations from the server were very helpful, service was definitely on the fancier end. The restaurant itself was beautiful, drinks were a little backed up and tables got confused by the runners, but for a new restaurant they did a great job! Eggplant and zucchini starter was one of our favorites! Will be back soon to try more of the menu!

Wow, really really good. Highly recommend the pappardelle with duck. The banana cream desert was delicious and easily enough for 2 if not 3. Attentive wait staff and relaxed industrial atmosphere. There is covered valet parking as well. This spot definitely helps fill the void of exceptional Italian food in Nashville!

Local here. This is exactly the type of restaurant Nashville has been needing. Fantastic service, amazing food, and a great atmosphere. A little on the noisy side so if you’re going for a business dinner, maybe not the best place, but great for date night or time out with friends. Great service. Will be back soon.

Some friends and I went to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is open and spacious. The service was IMPECCABLE. The staff is super attentive. New silver ware was placed after each course, water was always looked after, and the staff was so approachable and sweet. The crowd was diverse. The Food was DELICIOUS. The pasta just melted in your mouth. The meatballs were savory. The duck dish was great. The Margarita pizza was my husbands favorite. It’s so good to share or eat alone. The grilled Caesar also a YES! Before we walked out we saw the owner. He was so gracious. Shook my husbands hand before we left. You can tell they care about this place. 10/10 recommend. Can’t wait to try lunch!

This is my new go-to spot! The food is fantastic. Great drinks and the bartenders are amazing. Cole is an absolute standout behind the bar. I think he uses telepathy or maybe he’s a wizard. Either way, he always keeps my drinks full and makes sure I’m taken care of. Love this place!

It was all so good! Walked off the street, luckily got a table.
We ordered off of the appetizer menu, and it was the perfect light meal.
Waiter, Chaz, could not have been more considerate.

First, I would like to say that Anthony and Theresa Scotto are very gracious hosts. They make you feel extremely welcomed at their new Luogo restaurant in the Gulch. They make their way around the restaurant meeting/greeting the guests while making new friends. The atmosphere is very light and airy…can’t wait for the patio to open. We have been going to Luogo since they opened and have had amazing food each time we have been there. We have tried a variety of items on the menu (can’t speak about the meat dishes since we do not eat red meat). The complimentary bread sticks and olives are a really nice touch to get you in the mood for what else is coming. The appetizers and salads that we have tried include: the potato and zucchini chips (a Luogo staple) which is easily shared; my favorite is the fritto misto which is lightly breaded, cooked to perfection, and is gluten-free; the grilled margarita pizza is thin crusted and extremely delicious; and OMG the Winter salad is to die for (we always get this). As for the entrees, we tend to stick to seafood which depends on what is in season. Check the menu each time and/or ask your server. We have had the pan seared salmon…can’t go wrong with it…very tasty; the red snapper which we have had two different ways…collar and filet both were excellent; and fluke. All of these seafood entrees are delightful. We tend not to do desserts but on occasions we have ordered the banana pudding (comes in a jar), tiramisu, and the bomboloni (gluten-free) and my favorite. All desserts were a good way to end the meal. I cannot end my comments with saying something about the bartenders, servers, and management. They are all very friendly and accommodating. We have gotten to know the bartenders well (Will, Derek, Cole, and Johnny). Also, Evan, Mary, Matthew, and Phil are always on the floor making sure that the guests’ and staffs’ needs are met. You should experience Luogo yourself. There’s always something on the menu for everyone. Bon Appetit!!!!

Great experience! They had only been open for 7 days and the place functioned as if it had been there for years! The food was amazing! I don't think you can go wrong with any menu item you select. Such a great team effort from the staff, everyone was super friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit!

A belated Valentine’s Evening shout out to our private dining room team, Laura & Camille!! Awesome help with last minute name cards for our 20+ group! Service above & beyond!!! Food absolutely amazing!! How cute is that Tiramisu in the coffee pot?! Outstanding evening! Hope to come back again for a future event!!
Regina Pisacani
Nashville meets New York City's highly acclaimed restauranteur Anthony Scotto- we were highly impressed and can't wait to go back!
What a fabulous experience. From the moment that you walk in, an amazing, relaxed atmosphere, and is located right in the center of The Gulch! Magnificent bar: I had the Amalfi Aperitivo, and it was perfect. My friend had the Scotto Tesoro which was even better!
When we were ready to sit down at our dining table-so many tasty options on the menu that it was difficult to decide. They start you off with a wonderful assortment of olives and the most irresistible peppered breadsticks-delectable! Of course, we ordered the famous Potatoe and Zucchini Chips with Gorgonzola cheese & Grilled Pizza- these are a MUST. We also ordered a Winter salad and a Frito Misto. The Frito Misto was exceptional, lightly fried to perfection and the caper herb aioli was so complimentary. The meatball was shared by all and the fresh ricotta was on point!
The entrees at our table of six all looked like they were on the cover of a Bon Appetite magazine. More importantly, ALL of the dishes were met with the same review "EXCEPTIONAL"! Our table ordered the Luogo grilled sausage with butter beans and broccoli rabe-A+ and a Mediterranean Harvest Vegetarian plate- we did not know that Polenta Fries were something you could fall in love with! The Strozzapreti with Jonah Crab Fra Diavolo was cooked to perfection A+. The Paccheri Bolognese was my favorite- you have to like the savory taste of saffron for this dish though A++. The Grilled Veal Chop made my husband say "This is our new go-to place for sure!"
Welcome to the neighborhood Luogo- we are so happy that you are here. Once word gets around- reservations are going to be impossible to get!

I went there 2 weekends ago with 3 more people. Drinks were good but it took them a while to bring the glass of wine for one of my friends (cocktails arrived way faster). Food was amazing and the portions were just perfect!
They brought the dessert before removing all the dishes first and while someone else was still working on it.
We sat very close to the Kitchen so we could hear everything and it was definitely not a good experience. Looked like Mr Scotto - the owner - wasn’t having a good day and everyone looked stressed. He was just upset all the time. Waiters walking nervous from one side to another, talking between them, etc. While we were there at least 2 times we heard glasses/plates breaking (not in the kitchen, outside with clients). We weren’t sure what was going on.
I hope this happened because they just opened and they are still in the process of learning how to work best together (not an excuse but I really hope this is the reason). The place is beautiful (amazing location), the food is great, service could be improved.
I would give them another chance for sure!
Hay C
Nashville needed this! Absolutely loved the flavor and options of the dishes. My only complaint that the lady fingers in the tiramisu was dry. Everything else was spot on!
grace wheeler
This place was amazing! Our waitress Alexa M was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us fantastic recommendations on what to order. We both got different pasta dishes and they were phenomenal. The service was fabulous and the GM Evan checked in to make sure we enjoyed everything from start to finish. Luogo is a must to try!
Matthew Leff
Update: second visit, excellent food once again, and you can really tell the kitchen and staff have found a good groove. We ordered the red snapper which was excellent, and don't sleep on the tiramisu and raspberry sorbet. Make sure ya ask for Keith, he is a great server even though he is from Jersey 😜

Wonderful new Italian food in Nashville, good location and easy $10 parking!
All the food was flavorful and well seasoned. Impressive overall for a restaurant they opened 3 days prior to our visit.
Started with 🍆 zucchini pie and winter salad, perfect start. Followed with Frito misto (must order!)
Then spicy crab fra diavolo pasta and classic spaghetti and meatballs. The crab pasta was rich and intensely crabby in a good way! Meatballs were Perfecto!
Ended with ricotta cheese cake (the best way to make it) and a pour of amaro.
Look forward to returning especially once this place finds it's groove, can only get better.

I spent my 40th birthday at Luogo, and it was FABULOUS!! From the GM, to the incredible and attentive staff - every person my party raved about the top-tier service! I was made to feel so special! The birthday celebration they do is SO fun and festive! The food - and I mean every single thing - is superb! Try the Caesar salad (best I’ve ever had!) The staff are all so knowledgeable about the food and what wine to get… and they are so personable and fun! I give it a 12/10! 100% recommend Luogo!
Darby A.
Decent food but overly priced for what you get. We ordered the winter salad and Frito Misto for an appetizer but found it too salty. The Pappardelle with Duck Ragu was great but the bolognese was bland/dry and missing the ricotta as advertised on their instagram. Cocktails were the star of the show and they do a nice birthday celebration. Overall good experience but $200 for 2 people with 1 drink each just seemed too high for the ambiance and quality of the food.
Christopher Highsmith
Good:
Meatball app - perfectly cooked and great flavor
Burrata
Lamb chop - looked very good and not overcooked
Sausage and peppers - Surprisingly good
Just ok
Special salad, eggplant app
They are just getting going so I will give them benefit of the doubt on a few things.
No sparkling water, literally every high end Italian place should carry something similar to Pellegrino. Server stated they are "waiting to get it in". Hopefully they are aware it is sold at every grocer in America and they can mark it up.
Décor was nice walking in but mixed on the fine touches. Some tables have white tablecloths and others (including ours) are just wood top. They charge white tablecloth pricing. Cheap led lamps on the tables from amazon kill ambiance. TV in back room playing fake fireplace video on the wall is super tacky, I couldn't stop looking at it and not in a good way.
Christine
Luogo is setting the bar extremely high for Italian food in Nashville. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, spacious and it's the perfect spot to enjoy a date night, or a night out with your friends or family. The food is absolutely spectacular - the frito misto is incredible with the caper aioli. The pasta dishes are some of the best Italian pasta dishes in Nashville. The Duck Ragu and the Bolognese are incredible. They also offer gluten free options! Would HIGHLY recommend.
Hannah Jorgensen
10/10 recommend Luogo. The aesthetic is bright and open concept with subtle Italian touches. Perfect for date night and for big groups. Food was unreal and the service was exceptional. Cole, Emily, and Will behind the bar made our experience unforgettable. This will be the top Resturant in Nashville for 2023.
Chelsea Maxwell
My husband and I went for a date night and it was Amazing, we will definitely be back! The banana pudding was to die for! The spaghetti and meatballs is the best I’ve ever had, and the pizza appetizer was so good! The entire staff was attentive, nice, and welcoming.
Nathaniel Allen-Slaba
Absolutely loved it! Great service, great atmosphere, and perfectly seasoned and salted food. 10/10 recommend, can’t wait to go back!
Allison Sheely
The food, atmosphere, and hospitality at Luogo are fantastic! It was my first time visiting Luogo, but the bartenders, Darrick and Cole, made me feel like I was already a “regular” there. They most definitely made my experience at Luogo top-notch!
Prince Huang
We had very good dining experience and received good service that went above our expectation. Keith our service provider showed professional manners and he made us feel welcomed and delightful during our dinner. Good variety of menu options and prime location in the Gulch area. On-duty general manager greeted us as well. 2 details that impressed us: 1) when we were away from table, our napkin was folded by Keith and 2) before serving beverages, service staff used clean towel to wipe the glass making it shiny without any water stains or finger prints.
Lydia Stubbs (The Blondely Way)
Chaz is the best! And the food is incredible. 10/10 recommend the banana pudding
Elizabeth Poland
We celebrated three birthdays and had a party of 10. It did not phase Keith and Alexa! The service and the food were fantastic!
Carol M
Great service, OK house wine, food was mediocre. For an Italian family from Long Island, New York, you would think the food would be amazing… The thin crust pizza was not pizza at all! Not quite sure what it was. The parpadella with duck Ragu was extremely oily. The creamed pasta with spec was overly salty. The Italian donuts were burnt. Additionally, $15 for valet parking was outrageous. The attendant told me that half goes to the restaurant and half goes to the parking garage. I tipped the attendant with cash, and he was grateful. I would not go back
sara Mauro
Our server Steve was great! He was attentive and made good suggestions, was glad he was our server. Our food was good, need a sharper knife to cut the Caesar salad, the Arancini was good just needed more sauce, the pasta dishes both flavorful and the banana pudding was great but too big for two people. Only complaint is where we were seated if you place a table next to a server station you need to measure daily as my chair was bumped into at-least 4x and the person with me knocked a glass trying to walk to his chair.
Jason Thompson
Loved our experience here. The food was fantastic and service was great. Would love to come back and try some other dishes!
Amy Teeters
The food was absolutely delicious and Keith was great, very helpful and we never felt rushed. The cheesecake was the best we had ever had!! All the staff were friendly.
George Ward
I was in restaurant management for 15 years and Camille is the best server I have ever seen. She has a big smile, her food descriptions were enticing and she is great at the give and take in conversations. Simply outstanding. If you go to Luogo ask for her!
BOHICA 63
Had a party of 7. Everyone enjoyed everything! Cody our server was great. He’s a keeper Luogo!! Staff was very good and attentive. Definitely going back and will be on best of Nash list.
Michael Wojnowski
This restaurant recently opened in Nashville and it absolutely fantastic. The space is open and beautiful. The food and service were absolutely incredible. We were treated like family! You can't go wrong!
Ginger Courtney
I really do wish the best for this place. But after seeing a clip on The Today Show about it, I expected a lot more. The people are great! The atmosphere shows like a daytime diner though. Very white, sterile, bright lighting. The cushion for the bench I was sitting on was so hard that my butt was hurting halfway through dinner. We had to send back our sparkling wine, because it wasn't cold. The food was just ok. Salmon tartare was not good quality fish. The duck pasta was pretty good. The weirdest thing was that they did not have fresh Italian bread. They also offered grated parmesan vs fresh shaved. That may not be an issue for some but just shows level of detail. There were just cracker sticks and this really crispy hard "bread" that we couldn't eat. I'll keep an eye out to see how this new restaurant does. If the necessary changes are made, I'll give it another shot. So in summary, the staff is the only stand out.
Samantha Hayes
Luogo was wonderful. We enjoyed our meal. Codi was a kind and personable server. We will absolutely be back
Carolyn Maher
This restaurant is now my new favorite in Nashville! Love the pasta dishes and appetizers especially - so fresh, so tasty! Real Italian cooking has finally arrived - thank you to the Scotto family for bringing the goodness of New York City to Nashville - you have a winner!! 👏🏻👍🏻
BeNice ToEveryone
Great space. Great, attentive service. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. Nice wine list. Just barely okay food and cocktails. Look forward to trying again once they’ve been open a few more minutes to see if quality improves.
LDI Printing
Food was exceptional and our server Chaz was awesome, will definitely be back!
Darius Rybinski
Ambiance and design was great. Food was just too salty. Every plate (winter salad, the cheeses, clam spaghetti, chitarra with meatballs, and even the vegetables on the salmon/trout plate) had an element of way too much salt. Also took the food a long time to come out relative to parties around us. With some tweaks, this place can be great, but they gotta go lighter on the salt. I'm from the east coast and have been cooking my own sauces for years, and there is no need to drown out good food with too much salt.
Hayley Hutson
Luogo is exceptional! Dined here with friends and everything we ate was delicious, from apps to entrees to dessert. I'm not normally a banana pudding person, but theirs was a must-try... just incredible. The waitstaff, managers, and owner were all fabulous as well. We loved our experience!
Vicky Reddish
The service here is great! They are highly attentive and helpful. The food is good but not incredible...although it is some of the best Italian food in Nashville. Definitely recommend but it will likely not blow you away.
Amy Fazio
Had dinner at Luogo Thursday evening, one of the best Italian meals I’ve ever had. I live in palm beach Florida. Food a ten. Service amazing . Ambiance elegant. A must try dining experience.
Allison Czerski
A large group of us went for dinner and it was incredible. The service, the staff, the atmosphere, and of course the food! You're greeted like family and they're happy you came.
I had a drink off the menu that I still dream about - the Scotto Tesoro.
I sampled a lot of different dishes and my two favorite dishes were the Caesar salad and the flat bread. Everything was delicious! The meatballs were incredible, the zucchini chips were a surprising treat, the eggplant pie was a table favorite, the veal chop was huge and cooked perfectly, the tiramisu was alllmmoooost too pretty to eat (but you'll be glad you did), and the cheesecake will be the best you've ever had - you just can't go wrong at Luogo.
If I'm in Nashville, it's a must that I eat at Luogo before I leave - such a treat!
michael clemente
We came in with a party of 11 and I can definitely say we’ve never felt more VIP. The staff here is unreal and absolutely amazing. Even at the end when there was a problem with the bill they took care of it and made sure we were happy. Could not speak more highly of this place Mary was the best. And that’s not even to mention the fantastic food! Thank you Luogo for making our friends birthday special! 10/10 recommend
Holly Dunlap
We visited Luogo in Nashville this past week. Overall the food was okay, not great, but not bad either. A bit overpriced. But we had phenomenal service from Robyn. She helped us determine what we should order and I’m glad we went with her recommendation. Based on our overall experience, we plan to visit Luogo again in the future.
Christina Wiltshire
-Things we loved: atmosphere and ambiance, the wine, friendly and attentive staff, presentation of food, clam pasta
-Things we liked: food - it was good but not exceptional. We felt everything was a bit under seasoned (trio of dips, spaghetti and meatballs)
-Things we did not like - PRICES were way too high on everything except the bottle of wine and they nickel and dime you to run up the bill even more. My gelato was $14; we felt very pressured by the waiter to order a dessert. We also were charged an extra $3 for more bread to go with our already overpriced appetizer.
All in all, I will probably not make an effort to go back. There's equally as good, if not better, Italian food in Nashville for considerably less money.
Kevin P Norton
Saturday was their third night open. Atmosphere was great. Service was attentive. Food was exemplary. Only challenge was deciding what to chose for dinner. Looking forward to our next visit soon.
Francis King
Finally! We have a GREAT Italian restaurant in Nashville! Not a good Italian restaurant, a GREAT one! Looking try a new dining venue in Music City? Go here first!
MK
the best “authentic” italian in Nashville! the vibes and food are on point, the Scotto’s have a way of making you feel at home inside their restaurant! my favs included the amalfi cocktail, zucchini chips, frito misto, duck ragu, spaghetti meatballs and the tiramisu! can’t wait to go back.
Timothy Fickes
Enjoyed our meal here. Chic aesthetic and entrees were delicious; our server Brandon was excellent as well. Will be back for sure!

Sublime Italian food. Instantly, one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. The service was phenomenal, Keith was outstanding.
Daniel Al-Nimri
The ambiance is inviting and warm. The drinks are well balanced and the food was amazing. Highly recommend the Beef Meatball and the Duck Ragu. Will be coming back!
Paul Dion Jr.
Great place for dinner and the food is great. The staff is amazing and very attentive to your needs. These days to me that is great as most places are not on top of things for the customers as they should be. Enjoy!!!
Arthur Jones
Keith (our waiter) made this birthday dinner spectacular. He was so kind and gave incredible recommendations! Can’t wait to go back!
Janna Thompson
Best food, great atmosphere. Will, Derrick, Avi and Evan were absolutely amazing l! We will be back again and again, great experience and a must!!!

I’ve been coming in since the first week they opened in town sitting at the bar. Met Cole the bartender, great people, great place! Generous portions!
Rishab Jain
Think this restaurant could cater more towards vegetarians, specifically more pasta dishes. Service seemed a little cold at times. Really enjoyed the music, vibes, and ambiance.
Brandy Wright
Amazing. The food as amazing and the service was outstanding!!!

Easily the best italian food in nashville and it isn't close. However our experience was almost a bad one. We did use the valet which is only 15 dollars. We made reservations I suggest you do the same if you want a table. We were greeted with olives breadsticks and water almost immediately after being seated. What a great start I thought. Then our server(Camile) let us sit there for almost 15 minutes. The head bartender came and brought us to the bar. The bar is amazing with friendly knowledgeable staff and amazing service. The bar manager and staff totally saved our dining experience. We ordered the duck ragu and the spaghetti with meatballs. The ragu is amazing we will be back to confirm but I would be amazed if it isn't the best pasta dish on the menu. You can tell that the duck is slow cooked for days and the dish is perfectly balanced. Every herb and spice comes through clearly. The noodles were buttery and delicious melt in your mouth. They will top with fresh grated parmesan cheese if you request it at no extra cost. The meatballs are perfectly cooked and generously portioned. Think tender, juicy, savoury and succulent. The sauce is amazing on this meatball dish. Like mom's homemade marinara sauce simmering all day for supper. Now the spaghetti noodles were a bit disappointing. The flavor was there but the noodles were a bit undercooked which can happen. Overall the dining experience was a good one. If you love authentic Italian food Anthony Scotto crushed it and Luogo is worth a trip for locals and visiting tourists alike. Just make sure you make a reservation!
Sandy Weatherford
Everything was amazing- the food, the atmosphere and the service. A great lunch find but also it would be great for a romantic dinner
Theresa
Enjoyed yet another fantastic meal at Luogo Restaurant last night. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the food and service are outstanding. They're grilled margarita pizza and fritto misto are delcious appetizers, they're pastas are beautifully created, as are the entrees, and their drinks and desserts are excellent. And so much of the menu is available gluten free. Our waiter this past visit was Keith, who was knowledgeable, gave us great advice and made the experience that much better. Luogo is our new go-to for the best Italian food in Nashville.
Oceanthebartender
Finally some quick service in Nashville. Food was good too.
Danielle Jackson
Restaurant has a very open concept. During peak hours your going to have a little difficulty hearing the person at your table as the general atmospheric noise is high. Managerial staff is very involved in ensuring customer satisfaction is met. I recommend trying to go early or at low traffic hours for the best experience. If dinning later in the evening, you may experience shortages of the more popular dishes.
Mike Mohr
Some of the best Italian I've had. The salmon, chicken, and Garganelli alla Bava was out of this world. Highly recommend to anyone who likes good food!
Glynis Fisher
Enjoyed dinner, very tasty! Good server and nice outdoor patio
