Ordered take out for a bandeja paisa with meat (carne). I received a bandeja paisa with chicken. They did a good job at packing the chicken quite underneath. While the chicharron was delicious, the rice/ beans were tasteless and the sweet plantains were very very soggy. By that I mean the plantain was just way too 'maduro'. I don't think this restaurant can currently meet the standard for Colombian food. I hope they work on this. Will not return and cannot recommend.

We went in for Buñuelos and stayed for the empanadas and sancocho. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly. There was a small language challenge but we were patient and our Server was very nice and apologetic even though there was no need for apologies. Highly recommend.

We came here with a friend who was born in Colombia but was adopted at 3 months. He was so eager to try this place out and it did not disappoint in the tastes and service. The ambiance was very calm as we came at 7pm but after about 30min there was soon a few tables being taken by locals hungry for some Colombian cuisine. We’re vegetarian so we ordered sides but our friends ordered meat dishes that looked yummy and said it the sausage and meat tasted just like what they had in Colombia less than a month ago. Get the Lulo drink, sweet plantains and the pandebono when you check out to take home, a sweet cheesy bread pastry: we got guava! Highly recommend checking this unique restaurant out and supporting the culture along Nolensville Pike.

Their food is the best Columbian food ever. It’s always fresh. Not once have I gotten anything under cooked or overly cooked. Amazing I recommend this place 100% they are quick to bring the food out and the customer service is great off the roof. Love it

Great food and great service. I was so hungry that I did not take any pictures. We ordered two bandejas paisa and share between us (2 adults and 2 children). The bandeja was amazing, very tasty and well prepared. We took 20 minutes to get there but it was worth it.

The food is very tasty and the location seems very authentic but I haven't been to Columbia. The arepa loaded with chicken was a great texture and flavor. The empanadas made with corn (didn't try the flour) were crunchy on the outside and the filling was tender and very good. I had the chicken with mushrooms, rice and tostones, all very good, the salad it came with needed a dressing of some sort. My husband had the tostone topped with pork (tostones are savory fried plantains, pressed into a tortilla shape). We will be back to try more!

My mom is from Colombia and I was ecstatic to learn there was a Colombian Restaurant near Nashville, so we decided to check it out. The employees were very attentive and kind. We both ordered juice, my jugo de Mango was delicious 😋 I ordered the Pollo de la Planchas which was a ton of food, including the beans and rice plate , a side salad, and fried plantains which were so tasty, and the chicken wasn't overcooked and rubbery as you might expect a pounded piece of chicken to be..infact it was tender and just right, and flavorful. Mom ordered the Arroz Con Pollo which was loaded with ingredients and SO yummy. We even got Empanadas to-go for the following day lol, those were equally impressive and savory !! The prices here were not bad , and the overall experience was lovely. It was so neat seeing my mom get nostalgic when viewing the menu and discussing the popular food and recipes she grew up with...I think I speak for both of us when I say we will be returning!!

I googled empanadas near me and this place popped up. Empanadas did not disappoint! You can buy them frozen to go or order them single and hot. They’re served with an amazing spicy sauce. The coke here was different. They serve it in an original glass bottle imported from Honduras. How cool?! Staff does not speak English. But, that’s ok! My companion ordered for me in Spanish. Lucky me! Will definitely be back!

The food was so good! Best Colombian food I've had since New Jersey! The place is small and intimate, plus not the best area in nashville. But the food more than makes up for it! Look forward to eating here again!!

Sadly we will not be able to go again. On our first visits, there was someone that speaks English. Now they can't understand what I'm saying on the phone. We will certainly miss the food. So sad. Chicken Empanadas! Any of the breads! 👌

La Cucharita is a hidden gem when it comes to Colombian food in Nashville! Tucked away in a little stripped mall, it is very unassuming from the naked eye. My go to is the Bandeja Paisa which will leave you wanting more. With your choice of steak or chicken, it comes with chicharron, plantains, a fried eggs, and other goodies! Definitely a taste of Colombia in the South!

My mother's family is from Colombia and I have been many times. The food here is 100% authentic and delicious. A Nashville treasure. I recommend the sancocho and arepas but everything is so good. Tastes like my grandmother's cooking. Can't wait to go back.

I've never had Columbian and figured I'd try it since it's in my area. I tried a bit of everything and it was all so good. The lady at the counter was nice and helpful on explaining what things were and made me feel very welcome. I will go back and experiment more and hopefully learn what everything thing is because the food was so yummy. Also service was very prompt and portions was very large

What an amazing meal! The owner was very funny and sweet. I had the bandeja con Carne and my husband had the same but with pollo as well as the Carne. We ordered empanadas and oh delicious!. Before leaving the owner helped me pick the perfect coffee to take and brew at home. We will definitely be back!

More people need to discover this place. Colombian food is very different from Mexican food. It has a very unique style and is delicious. The empanadas were light crispy and tasty. The chicken is prepared in a feathered and crispy way that is hard to describe. The sausage was homemade and excellent. The rice and beans are very uniquely prepared. Just go, and be prepared for a truly international food experience.

Amazing food and great service! I was visiting Nashville from Miami Florida where I have tried a wide variety of Colombian restaurants and this is by far one of the best. Prices were very reasonable for the generous portions. I had the sancocho and the empanadas which were beyond delicious.

I go there nearly every weekend with my wife. The coffee is the best you are going to find. The juices are made there. You come to La Cucharita not for drinks but for the food. You leave full as a king with the taste of homemade Columbia food in your mouth. Don’t expect a “fine dining” experience, but you will get some of the most welcome and hospitable service. It will make you come back time and time again, leaving with a smile on your face.

First and foremost, the people who work at and run this restaurant are very friendly and provide good service. The atmosphere makes me reminiscent of the brief time I spent in Colombia. The bandeja carne is delicious, and so are their baked goods. Popular snacks and coffees from Colombia are available too.

Place was good. I have never eaten Colombian food so it was a treat for myself. I asked what was a good representation of Colombian food. The recommended the arroz de pollo. It was like latino fried rice. It was good with plantains. Price was a little high, but with a 99 rating on their health inspection I felt like I was paying a decent price near nashville. Service was friendly, and the place was clean. I will be bringing my gf here next time.

If you are looking for authentic Colombian food in Nashville, this is the place to go. It's a total hidden gem in South Nashville that has a big menu with lots to choose from. Make sure you give their Bandeja Paisa (typical platter from Colombia) a shot and try their Passion fruit juice, it's definitely some of my favorite food along with their Arroz con pollo (chicken rice). I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The food was absolutely phenomenal for what I paid for. I ordered a Mojarra Frita with a side of french fries and it blew my expectations. The fish was very savory and the sides that came with the dish compliment each other well. I tried one of their amazing authentic Colombian sodas. I had to top it off with a chicken empanada to end my experience. Not to mention the staff is very friendly. You pair that up with a beautiful ambience of Colombian culture and its like you're genuinely at the real thing. Words don't do it justice though, you have to go and visit yourself. Definitely recommend 10/10!!!

The restaurant needs to improve many aspects, 1. More waiters to serve, Sunday, full restaurant and only 1 waiter, the person at the register helped sporadically but for hygiene it is not recommended to handle food and handle money, we spent 20 minutes waiting for them to clean the table, then they brought the cutlery and have put it on the dirty table. 2. The delivery times, it was evident that there was also a lack of staff in the kitchen, the appetizers (4 empanadas) arrived 1 hour after ordering them, the food 1 hour and 20 minutes after ordering it, it arrived incomplete 3. The presentation of the food It was not the best, in the main dishes it was 50% salad, the other 50% rice, 2 portions of yucca and breast, the other the same but with meat with onions, but it came with 2 small squares of onion, delicious but it really wasn't Meat with onions, we love the Salad, however, a lot for a dish like that and very little rice and protein for the price and the expectation of the dish (for those who are interested... we found out from another table that the Salad can be changed for bananas or something else, they never offered it to us) 3. Dirty bathrooms, without toilet paper. It definitely needs to improve 95% in service, hygiene and response times. I hope it will be helpful for new visitors, but above all for the restaurant, they have a lot of opportunity to be the best Colombian representation in a constantly growing market. Blessings
