Updated 5/24/22 Still awesome food and service on our second visit! First time coming here, and we used a coupon, but would come here without a coupon! The food was fresh made, large portions, and really delicious. The waitress was fantastic with food recommendations (everything was great!), as well as awesome to talk to and learn about the specials/entertainment they have on different nights.

I have mixed feelings about this place: the burger and fries I got were good (the one with mushrooms and swiss cheese) but I also got a basket of fried pickles and they were awful, most places I had them before they’re always crunchy and very tasty, this were so soggy like if they were fried an hour before someone ordered them; the fries were hot like they just came out of the fryer and this pickles weren’t even warm. I would give this place a second chance if I’m in the neighborhood and without any other option (not the pickles tho). They have happy hour mon-fri from 2 to 6 and all day on wednesday, the service was just okay.

Good food. Decent place to watch a game. The bartender is ***dreamy***! The truth is this is a pretty good place to relax and escape the cruel reality that our world is ruled by terribly self-obsessed rich powerful white men with capricious desires and destructive agendas. Best not to think about how we are in control of our own destinies as much as a feathers on the wind. Yes, drink another beer and watch the game. Tomorrow we are dust and none shall remember our names.

OMG the salads are a meal within itself? Catfish is delicious and I can't believe while talking to my son showing him the meal we had I didn't take a pic! Wow good food and worth the visit feeding Bellevue nicely! Thanks

If you are in West Nashville you've got to go to Hillwood. Great food, wonderful service, sports on the TVs and music in the air. I have been a faithful customer for over 5 years and I keep going back. Even during the worst of the pandemic, they kept this business going strong. There are daily drink specials and food specials. Try the cheeseburger wrap on Tuesdays or the AYCE Catfish on Fridays and you won't be disappointed. The salads are also wonderful. They even have oysters on the menu as well as BBQ. A big thank you to all the employees and managers and the owner of Hillwood for making every visit enjoyable!

Don't let the term bar in their name keep you away. They have great servers, an awesome array of food (the Cuban sandwich is delicious), reasonable prices and yes a well stocked bar. I'll be back again soon even with all the choices in Nashville.

Stopped in, after a long day, for a quick cocktail & some food to go. The drink was great (just Burbon, but a good pour).The prices were perfect for this economy .._(although, I do bartend on Broadway, so my price opinion, may be very screwed). But, dinner & a drink for 2….including a $10 Tio was only $38 bucks & the food was great. Other than they forgot BBQ for my pulled pork, I was pleasantly surprised.

Just recently moved to the area, and have been a handful of times. Friendly staff, has been very welcoming! The food is quality bar food from what I have had so far. Seems to have different things going on most nights as some form of entertainment, trivia, rock n roll bingo, karaoke. Great neighborhood bar!

Friendly folks. Steak sliders are the jam... it actually has a decent chunk of steak which is tender and flavorful. I prefer a darker setting but cool spot. Going back to try more grub.

Service is slow. They had one waitress for the NFL playoff game. I ordered the 4 sides plate and it was ok. I had the fried okra, turnip greens, cucumber and tomato salad and green beans. The food was warm. The green beans were Italian cut and flavored with bacon but not great. I did enjoy the cucumber and tomato salad as it was refreshing. The greens were dry and with little seasoning. I would go back for the convince and a drink, but that’s about it.

One of my most favorite places to get a meat and three, always good beer and great oysters great price. Never miss a chance to have lunch when I go to Costco. The staff is always very personable.

Outstanding Chef created entrees in a Pub at the end of a old strip mall! Outdoor patio and newly renovated. Kentucky Barrel Bourbon Ale on draft along with a variety of local creations. All you care to eat catfish some days too! I love this place! Sunday brunch menu

EDITED REVIEW (Mar2019) New Menu Prices jumped significantly. Overpriced for the style of restaurant and the neighborhood. My last 'To Go' Order was screwed up and when I called about it, I was treated rudely. They assumed I would know that they changed their Menu and Prices, that what I ordered was No Longer Available? They tried to blame their mistakes on me because Google hadn't Updated Their Menu Prices? I have been ordering the exact same thing monthly for almost 2 years... I won't go back because of the way I was treated on the phone. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Fun neighborhood sports pub serving Cocktails and Beers! Clean, roomy establishment with a long 40ft BarTop, ample seating and a fabulous large Outdoor Patio, families welcomed. Food here is delicious with daily specials, appetizers and deluxe dinners. My fav, Steak Sliders and meaty fries!

Great local place to stop for a bite and a drink. Very chill environment. Would give 5 Stars, but they are not very versatile on Vegetarian food items. I usually order the same salad every time and then we share appetizers. Would definitely recommend to other West Nashville folks.

Love this place. My favorite neighborhood hangout. Great food at a very affordable price. Great drinks with an excellent rotating selection of beer, a plethora of whiskey (they have Jack Sinatra and Angels Envy for the best prices I've seen ANYWHERE). I love the staff too. best friend green tomatoes on the planet! That was 2 or more years ago. as I wait, after driving past a myriad of new eateries, I am heart broken to know these treasures have been taken off the menu. At a time we emerge to return to the things we have missed, these are a true loss to the lackluster options on the far west side if the amazing foodie city Nashville has become. just another sports bar. solid but only if you happen to be in the neighborhood.

Hillwood Pub has a nice variety of food for lunch. Today I had the black & blue burger, first time for this burger and it didn't disappoint my taste buds. If you haven't, you need to give the pub a try.

Sporty pub atmosphere. Cheese curds are delicious. They have several TVs if you're looking for a game. Live music on friday night. Karaoke on Saturday. Its seat yourself when you walk in. These bad reviews here are pretty silly. If you dont like sports bars in general dont write a review. When you walk into a crowded sports bar you might not get greeted right away. It is understandable. The staff here is very friendly. The pizza is thin crust and super delicious. I will be here throughout football season. They have the Sunday ticket and MLB package so all football and baseball games. There are many regulars that come here to make it cozy and fun. Love this place.

Some of the best service I've ever experienced! We're three people from Wisconsin and Jacob went out of his way to try to broadcast the Bucks. He went as far as trying to chrome cast our phone onto the TV. Beers good, service is awesome, can recommend! (If you expect a sports bar). Five stars for the service alone.

I had the mushroom swiss burger, my partner had the steak sliders and our friend had the peanut butter burger. We all enjoyed our selections. The service was OK... We asked for a fork and got a knife. I guess the server decided our friend didn't need a fork lololol.

The menu here is incredibly varied. If someone can't find something they want to eat here, they just aren't hungry. That having been said, the coleslaw in particular is consistently terrible, so you might want to avoid it. The service is, well, downright bad. The staff is nice enough, but they're incredibly lazy and forgetful. Every time I've been there, we've asked the server for something that honestly she should've already taken care of without needing to be asked, the she's gone and sat in the corner for a while apparently on break (no really, they pretty much stay in break mode here), then eventually they'll come back around having completely forgotten you asked for anything. And this happens repeatedly within the same visit, every time. On the plus side, it doesn't get busy until really late, so the service is kinda bearable as long as you go during a time when no one else is around to distract the staff and make the issues that much worse.

The negative was the pub food. Not sure who is cooking but definitely needs improvement. Salad was drenched with dressing and missing ingredients. Chicken strips were beyond cooked.

A nice place. Lots of sports on many tv's. Wings won best in town a few years ago. Really good. Chicken Penne Pasta is excellent too. Big selection of beers and other drinks. Well worth a try.

I ordered a turkey rueban. They gave me a turkey wrap and told me they removed the rueban. So I asked for a French dip. The French dip was not for me. It has thick cuts of beef instead of shaved. I had to go back in, again, to ask for auju. And they gave it to me in a tiny little plastic cup meant for side dressings. I know a lot of people who really like this place. But I was not impressed.

Been here a few times for Trivia night. It’s not to crowded, but you want to make sure you have a table. Service has been hit or miss. I’ve had times where I need a drink and had to wait 30 mins before the waitress got to me and other times the waitress had kept my glass full.
