Old fashioned was excellent and not too sweet. Portions are pretty small for the price but the braised rabbit and fried catfish were delicious. Rabbit was crazy tender and cinnamon forward with amazing, marshmallow soft gnocchi. Catfish was super flaky and tender. Not at all oily.

On my first night in Nashville, I visited Gertie’s bar for some cocktails. Brandon went above and beyond, making handcrafted delicious cocktails, sharing city sights to visit, and encapsulated southern hospitality. The drinks were phenomenal. This is a must visit on your Nashville tour.

Amazing cocktails and foods. Bartenders helped me to pick good foods and beverages. 404 old fashioned was the best modern OF I ever had. Great vibes with nicely decorated interiors. I will come back here again and again as long as they keep their quality up there.

All I gotta say is WOW! Reminds me of a bar back home that has a massive(diverse) whiskey selection, but also has great service as well! Michael and Hannah were awesome! Know their wall of whiskey really well. Willing to look for bottles in your flavor preferences that you haven't tried yet. They even made a fantastic mock-tail for my pregnant wife! Overall fantastic place, and must stop for whiskey enthusiasts in the Nashville area

I really wanted to love this place, but the only reason I am giving it three stars is because the bartender was awesome and the cocktails were good. Nothing worse than sitting at a bar sweating because the AC is not on and the owners/operators think it's a good idea to not have a single ceiling fan or any type of airflow. Not too smart when you are in a city than consistently has days 90° and above for months at a time! When I asked the bartenders if it was always this hot and stuffy and they said "it gets worse than this"... That's a sign that something needs to be done. What's even worse than that is there are no restrooms in the bar area. You have to walk upstairs to the dining room area and then weave your way through the seating area, dodging waitresses and servers, bumping into customers as they try to enjoy their meal, just to get to the restroom. Who thought this was a good idea?? Felt so awkward! They do have an extensive whiskey bourbon and Scotch list, which is nice...but they also think they can overcharge for just about everything, and thats even compared to other establishments in the same area, so you can't use being in The Gulch or "Nashville Prices" as the excuse. It's blatant they are using their prices to create an illusion of high class. Like I said, I would love to love this place but sadly it fell way short of being somewhere I would even come back to. There are much better whiskey bars in the area that are not as expensive, and way more comfortable.

Bar has a plethora of whiskey and bourbon. Website and front door said they opened at 4 p.m. Definitely opened 40 minutes late. Drinks are a bit high price, but tasty. The happy hour prices are ridiculous though! Definitely gonna head back for happy hour from 5-7 Monday through Friday.

I make it my goal to find at least one good whisky bar every place I travel. Mission accomplished! 👍. The selection and ambiance are first rate, but it's the staff that makes the experience. Adam, Zack and Anabelle are true professionals and will make sure you have a great time. Also met chef Matt, and well...he's the real deal. His pate' was on point and the cornbread was moist and delicious. Only sorry I didn't go upstairs to 404 for dinner. Oh well....an excuse to go back....😀. Had a great experience here. It's a shame they've taken the whiskey flights mostly off the menu but you can still get something off menu if you talk to the right bartender. Taking a star off because we were scoffed at by one bartender before getting great service from someone else.

Nice place and the bartender was friendly. It's a whiskey bar at the bottom (but they can make you anything) and a restaurant at the top. It's pricey so be prepared for that and pretty upscale but the dress is business casual. We were visiting from out of town and just stumbled across it.

Cool spot! This is a nice bar in 'The Gulch', prices for drinks were higher than most bars around, but the margaritas were good. Customer service was lacking.

This bar is great. We picked it at random. The Old Fashinoned is wonderful. I love that the drinks were all Alice in Wonderland themed. The bartenders were awesome and were very knowledgeable. The goat cheese Creme Brule was delicious. This is a place you should check out. I will be back for sure.
