Holy Wow! This place is so very amazing! We walked in and were welcomed by the friendliest dude ever! He was so patient explaining all of the amazing things they have and everything they could do with the amazing fresh seafood they have! And damn was it good seafood! We all loved it and can’t wait until we can go back!

Living in Old Hickory there aren’t great seafood options around here (I thought), so I’ve been resorting to the Juicy Seafoods in Madison and E Nash. I came across this place on Google Maps and… wow. Im a seafood novice, but Kojo guided me through it. I ended up going with 12 raw oysters, and 1lb of royal reds (steamed, and seasoned). The oysters were just over $1 each and completely on par with the $4/ea I’ve had at Henrietta Red. Delicious! The royal reds, however, were outstanding. 10x fresher and easier to peel than JS and for the same price. I just called in a carry out order and am on my way back in right now.

Recently moved to the area and I was at a nearby market when I noticed Gandy Seafood so i decided to walk in and check it out and I'm glad I did! Super friendly staff and great options! I got the spicy cajun crawfish pie and I'm excited to try it! I will be back soon

Do yourself a favor and go get some fresh royal reds shrimp and have them steamed. By far the best shrimp I've had with the Cajun cocktail.i don't even like tuna but the tuna dip was so good, shrimp dip was amazing. Broccoli and potatoes were so juicy and full of flavor. Might be my new Sunday spot with the salmon salad that got devoured in just a couple mins. Everything we had was phenomenal and I can't wait to get some fried lobster tail in the future

This was a very pleasant stop! I was just passing through Nashville and was excited tipi find an affordable seafood stop. And an awesome polis is that it was Black Owned! I got the steak tenderloin, 1/2 pound shrimp, sausage, and clued with a 19iz Dr. Pepper for under $22!!

From walking in to this place to getting the food home and eating it, our experience was amazing. The guy working there welcomed us with a smile and great attitude. He guided my family and I through the wide array of seafood. We ordered many pounds of royal red shrimp and scallops with quite a few sides. I also got cod and asked him to cook it however he thought would be best. Man, that is the best seafood that I have had in this state in my 41 years of living here. Kudos Gandy's. I'll for sure be back!

I’ve had a variety of meals here and really enjoy the seafood! The gumbo is rich and full, the dips that I’ve brought to parties have always been complimented. Plus, the owner is willing to help you out if you need a specific order - I asked him to get me a lb of lump crab that I could use for a party and he came through. It’s definitely worth stopping by and trying out

I had the pleasure of ordering the seafood Mac and cheese along w the house special gumbo and it was the best decision I made all day. The Mac and cheese had flavor with every single bite! The gumbo was so good I cursed myself for not bringing home more. The next visit can’t come soon enough! I’ve found my Cajun seafood spot in Nashville!

I can't give Gandy's all the stars that I want to. They deserve WAY more than 5! The freshest seafood around and I have had numerous different specials and they are ALL amazing! I take them to work and make my co-workers drool! And the service..... Y'all! You quickly become family! I have a challenging diet. And I expressed it to the manager, and he recommended their blackened salmon. I am able to eat that and I can tell you it is the most delicious salmon I’ve ever purchased out. The flavoring, the moisture, topped with the best customer service will keep me coming back. I highly recommend. My husband is a chef and he enjoys. Going to Gandys and experience the delectable choices of seafood options. The prices are fantastic. Compared to some other restaurants when you go and get salmon, you pay quite a bit and the taste is quite lacking. Not at Gandys!!!

1st time here. Friendly gentleman took good care of us. Place your order, ready to take home and eat in minutes. Best shrimp I've ever eat. Will definately go back. Shrimp, lobster, oysters, all fresh. Place smells clean and looks good. They have King Cakes!!!!!!

I'm so excited to have authentic Cajun seafood so close to home! Be aware, though, this is a market with carry out only and their daily specials are only prepared that day. So, I'll be back Monday for the shrimp and grits I'm craving. Tonight I got gumbo and it is WONDERFUL! And I'm looking forward to cooking the crawfish andouille another night. Actually, I'm looking forward to trying everything they have! They actually have fresh royal reds!!! I was bummed that some items on website weren't stocked, but the friendly cashier told me I can order anything they're out of and they'll get it for me. I do wish they had a dining room, but I definitely understand financial caution with a relatively new venture in this economy. I have high hopes that Gandy's is in Hermitage to stay!

The food is delicious. The online ordering feature needs some work (the reason for the 3 stars in service; 5 stars for the gentleman who was working there). The online ordering feature shows and allows you to order and pay for options that actually aren't available. Excellent selection of fresh fish and seafood.

I am not much into social media or writing reviews but here goes. THIS PLACE IS PERFECTION!!! CoJo is a class act in customer service!!! The place is spotless!!! I ordered blackened red fish with broccoli and potatoes. Struggling to find the words to explain how insanely good this was!!! Everything fresh, seasoned amazingly and cooked to perfection!!! CoJo, I seriously need to tell Guy Fieri about you!!! Moved here from Alaska (born and raised), so I kinda know fish. This place is the real deal!! After being disappointed with so many restaurants around here, finally found a gem! I don’t mind if it’s take out only, when it’s this great!!! You can buy your fresh seafood in this awesome little market or have them cook it up for you! Way cool!

I had the Rockefeller Salmon and it was so delicious. The most tender and fresh salmon I think I have ever had. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. It just melts in your mouth. If you have not tried this place you are missing out on something great.

We had the seafood boil today. Such fresh shrimp and crawfish. Nice helpings of corn and new potatoes to go with it. Great sauces. So happy we can get fresh seafood in our neighborhood! I like that you can buy it fresh or have it prepared there. Definitely going to be a regular customer! Fresh Sea Bass next week!

My husband and I are thrilled to have a true seafood market in town! We have tried the Royal Red Shrimp and grouper. Also, oysters Rockefeller, and the crab Mac & cheese. All have been excellent! I see us eating a lot more seafood in the future from Gandy!
