What a quaint little place! The food tasted so fresh. So much bacon on the BLT. The country fried steak had a great crisp with wonderful gravy. Everyone was SO friendly, even the other customers!

If you are in Nashville, stop in to the Country Cafe. Three service was awesome and the food was everything you would hope for in the way of a good ol fashioned country breakfast. We visited twice during our 5 day stay. It's an older place that is a bit run down and some areas were not as clean as I would have liked, but the tables were kept clean and the open kitchen allowed us to see that it was clean as well. It's cramped and busy for good reason!! I recommend the biscuits and gravy, but EVERYTHING we had was absolutely delicious!!!!

This is an old favorite of mine. Mamma is so spry and still mans the grill. The same group of employees have been working there for years with some new additions. Food is homestyle. hot, fresh and good and everybody knows your name. Lots of regulars.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside (or inside) but food was good and reasonably priced. Place was staffed really well and had quite a few regulars (that the staff knew by 1st name) which is always a good sign. Staff was exceptionally friendly!

Ordered the grilled chicken salad. It has a bit of cheese and a bit of bacon, a nice chicken helping, and a whole lot of fresh veggies. The way a salad should be. Thank you so much! The loaded potato salad was also quite delicious. Service was good and the staff is friendly.

Very rare I give 5 stars. Very friendly staff. I had eggs, country fried steak, home fries, and biscuits. I like my eggs over medium well. Hard to get right. They where perfect! Best darn biscuits I've had in a long time and the country milk gravy was spot on. I'll be back!

If you have any type of dietary restrictions check those at the door, cause you are getting full blow country goodness when you eat at Country Cafe. Seriously, they have great food, superb service. This is a truly sweet restaurant. As soon as you enter the atmosphere gives you a sense of home and welcome. The food is prepared in front of you, and is truly delicious. The service is definitely 5*. It does cost a little more. But, for a good home cooked meal, that is prepared with love is all the more worth it. I would suggest everyone try this place out at least once. ~.^

The food was really good. I had a veggie omelet and home fries. It's something about an omelet tastes like homemade that makes me smile. My coworkers said their pancakes were good, like homemade pancakes. Did get a pic of my food because I was too hungry to snap a pic, but it was worth it. And the prices are reasonable.

Posted with tongue firmly in cheek! Country steak entirely too big for the hamburger buns! Too much gravy for the poor thing too. French fries so fresh you couldn't eat them for the heat. Wife's tater tots so crispy and hot as well. Everything seems cooked to order, imagine that. Staff know how to handle a crowd, keeping everyone moving and served without making you feel rushed. Take your time, enjoy. True mom and pop diner. Outstanding

OMG! Went to Nashville to visit a museum & wanted to find a mom-n-pop style diner for lunch. Well, this place fit the bill. Didn't look like much from the outside but we noticed it was crowded with the locals so we decided to try it. Very small inside but they seemed to know to handle a crowd. Hubby ordered a country fried steak sandwich w/fries and I ordered a patty melt w/tater tots. All was wonderful! The steak was so big it hung over the sides of the bun by a good inch all the way around. Patty melt was delicious. Fries & tots were crispy and still HOT - so much so we had to be careful when eating them. They also knew how to cook them - they weren't blond and just barely cooked like most places want to do. If we are ever in the area we WILL make plans to return.

Just went with a basic b breakfast, 2 eggs over medium, sausage and toast, very friendly, and attentive staff, eggs were perfect, 2 sausage patties, so plenty of meat, and hot of the grill, delicious, coffee was a little on the weak side for my taste, so can't give the 5 stars, but a pretty good, all around experience.

It's a hectic, vibrant, friendly little neighborhood diner inside the heart of Nashville that provides an atmosphere that was in the old restaurants like Hermitage Cafe. The Pie Wagon. Rotiers and Varallos chili. Hopefully she'll be around another 100 years. As a native Tennessean I realize we are growing. And fancy high price restaurants come with. But there's an attraction to the "greasy spoon" where staff provides an affectionate mix of humor, sarcasm and care and delicious foods in the community they are in and serve. Thanks guys! Keep it real! Tennessee style!

Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. The food is truly SOUTHERN COMFORT FOOD! Just like your Grandmother would cook! Its worth the 30 minute drive for me! If you have an appetite ( yes, you would need one the portions are INSANE!) for a good home-cook meal breakfast or lunch, Go the County Cafe way, IT WILL DEFINITELY BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY!

A small Mom&Pop meat-and-three that's only open for breakfast and lunch. They serve traditional Southern food. The daily menu is displayed on a board at the side of the dinning room. We went there for lunch after the rush, for which there is a wait for a table if you don't get there early. I had the chicken salad sandwich with chips. I asked for lettuce, tomato, bacon, and cheese and it was no problem. My friend had the vegetable plate, which looked delicious. He said that everything was well seasoned. That's important to us Southerners! My sandwich was delicious. The bacon was thick cut, just what I wanted. To summarize, the service was great, the server was friendly and prompt, the food was delicious in this small family owned meat-and-three in South Nashville on Murfreesboro Rd just across from the new Police Headquarters.

I work right down the street from country cafe and go there often for lunch. They always have great food and a daily special. The meatloaf in my opinion is the best around. I often have the patty melt plate which is another go to for me there. Service is always great and staff are always polite and friendly.

If you love Mom and Pop cooking you will absolutely adore this restaurant. Everything on the menu is delicious and made from scratch. They are not open on the weekends and only open until 2 on the weekdays. So don't miss out on the specials. All of the desserts are made from yummy goodness
