Came across this food truck on the way to the park and the vibrant colors caught our attention. Takes a bit to get the food, but worth the wait once you get it. I also appreciate that it’s cooked to order. Adds a level of freshness to the plate. The shrimp Po Boy is a southern and NOLA classic. This is surely one of the best you’ll find in Nashville. The fresh and soft bread perfectly matches the well seasoned shrimp and generous serving of fries. In true NOLA fashion the macaroni had some kick. Great customer service from a young entrepreneur. Absolutely love buying and supporting local.

The food was cooked fresh to order. I had the burger and Cajun fries. The meet was cooked to perfection. The fries were seasoned great. My husband got the crawfish nachos. He said it's the best crawfish he's had in a really long time. We tried the gumbo and it was really good. It a bit spicy for me but still really good and with water it would be fine.

First time here and ordered the seafood platter with some gumbo. It was very good. Only complaint is the portions werent bigger, but I am not a small person. And I will gladly pay that price for good food.

I ordered the Shrimp po boy with extra shrimp, the shrimp and fish plate, and when I thought that would be all he offered me a sample of the gumbo which is amazing. So of course I ordered a small of that. When I tell you it all was amazing. I threw some hot sauce on my fish and shrimp and I wish I ordered more for later. The food is great and so is the owner.

I’ve seen this truck so many times, and today, I finally passed by during operating hours. I recently moved to Nashville from Texas, so I’ve really missed authentic Cajun food! This place did not disappoint! I had the gumbo and a shrimp poboy! Both served hot, fresh, and delicious! Be prepared for the heat, not overwhelming, but wow! Great flavor and the right amount of spice! Excellent service! I can’t wait to go back!

Ever since I moved to Nashville I’ve been trying to find good Cajun food in the area, and this is by far the best. The crawfish tasted like it was fresh out of New Orleans. On top of the incredible food, the prices are plenty reasonable and the customer service is wonderful. The man running the truck even had us try the food after it was finished to make sure everything was good before we left. Highly recommended.

Cajun kids has the best sautéed crayfish I have had since leaving Louisiana. The owner is a sweet and engaging gentleman that goes above and beyond to please his customer. We got the fried shrimp poboy and fries and a side of sautéed crayfish. Just the right amount of spice and authentic flavor. I highly recommend trying this place out... you won't be disappointed.

I read all the other reviews on google before going and let me tell you: it lives up to the hype. Amazing service and absolutely delicious food. My only regret is that I didn’t order more!! We had the crawfish po-boy (which was perfect), tried the gumbo (it’s messed up how tasty that is) and the cajun fries (fire). Please make your way here - even if it’s out of the way for you. It’s worth it!

I SHOULD MENTION I GOT MY FOOD FROM THE FOOD TRUCK I FOUND WHILE SHOPPING IN RIVERGATE Overall the food was good, the catfish could have been cook a little more (i didn't finish it cuz of this) it was quite slimy That aside the pungent smell of burning oil (i get it you cook food in oil but coming from a person who worked a restaurant for a long time i know just by the smell that that oil was burning) That aside food was good, i don't recommend you NOT have a beverage with your food (this is a personal preference or just the fact that the food is heavily seasoned/not even enough as one bite would be far to over seasoned and another not seasoned enough... That said if it were evenly spread the shrimp they have is paradise)

Having just moved to my new neighborhood in Madison from South Nashville, I was pleasantly surprised to see the Nawlin's themed purple and gold Cajun Kids food trailer not 8 blocks from my new house. I never seemed to catch it when it was open though...until yesterday when I was finally rewarded with a killer crawfish Po'Boy & fries plate seasoned to spicy perfection! I also asked when they're going to have boiled crawfish for sale by the pound and was told this weekend! Anyway, based on the generously portioned tail meat in the Po'Boy I highly recommend Cajun Kids to anyone lucky enough to catch 'em open and can't wait to get a pound or two of my favorite mud bugs this weekend!
