True Italian done extremely well. It's a very cool place to eat dinner. The staff is very friendly from the time we met the guy at the door till the time we sat down our waitress and everything was 1st class. Our waitress was very accommodating very informative and gave us all lots of options.. We had a party of 8 so we tried 3 different appetizers and most everything on the menu. Not one single complaint and everyone actually ranted and raved about how good it was. I would not hesitate to go back truly top notch food and service! A rare combination now a days

The food was spectacular here. I’d highly recommend giving one of their specials a try. You might end up having something incredible like their braised beef gnocchi. Also, save room for dessert. The flourless chocolate cake is heavenly.

We decided to give this restaurant a try while we were waiting for our airbnb house ready. It was easy to find. The street parking was full so we ended up park at a parking lot with fee acrossing from the restaurant. The atmosphere and decor were excellent. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately, we had to wait 15 minutes for our table and 30 minutes for our food. We sat outside since the weather was nice at the time. The food was delicious and delectable.

Authentically Italian. The “sapore” of the pizza is the same as back home in FVG. The recommended wine paired perfectly with my Margherita. The owner, Francesco, offered a beautiful, aromatic and chilled limoncello that was simply INCREDIBLE!! If you haven’t gone, GO!!!

Amazing, quaint, and absolutely worth it. A rare yet, prestigious find in Nashville, Tennessee. A combination of Litte Italy and authenticity will leave you saying "Yes!" to a cannoli or two. Been coming here for like 12 years…. Maybe eventually I’ll correctly pronounce capricciosa! One of my favorite classic Neapolitan pizzas ever, and the outside area is very cute if you go in the summer. Lexi was our server she was great. Also got a cappuccino but I drank it before I could get a picture just trust me that it was good

Everything is fantastic every time I go! I always order a plate of prosciutto crudo and mozzarella di bufala as an appetizer which is always delicious and fresh. Their pizzas are to die for and the owners (both of them from Italy) are the kindest people ever! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you want to have a real Italian experience!

Really love this place. Open kitchen so you can watch them make the food. It really is authentic Italian. Very busy place, I would recommend getting a reservation. Great service. The Nutella pizza is a must for dessert.

A simple but solid menu of Neapolitan pizzas and pastas plus a few salads. All very good and enjoyable if somewhat unremarkable. The service is very good though they were a bit in the weeds the night we visited. We came on short notice without a reservation and were able to get seating outside. Of course, summer heat and flies made for a slightly less enjoyable experience. But we managed and had a pleasant meal. It’s just not for everyone. If you want to eat indoors, just know that reservations are required for popular evenings and weekends. And be sure they’re for indoor dinner and not outdoor or as available. Parking is available on the street or in the lot across the way.

Very lovely family business. Very kind and friendly service, not the fastest, and an overall wonderful experience. The food was delicious, we had a party and they were very accomadating. The menu is great for parties that don’t want to just share a pizza, and the pasta is just as good of quality. Unlike most pizza places. Didn’t take any pictures but it looked beautiful too!

I've been here 4 times now. Absolutely GREAT pizza. We went a few days ago and there was a mix up with the servers and they assigned the bar tender to wait our table. He was incredible! Again, great salad, great wine and pizza. I will visit again!

Had a great meal here earlier today. The staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant had a welcoming and warm feel to it. Our server Noah was amazing and the food was as well! Highly recommend to anyone wanting some good Italian food, looking forward to having the pasta next time!

Service was great! Everyone was very nice and helpful. However, I was shocked at the price considering how little food we got. My husband got the penne alla vodka which he didn't like. He said it had no flavor and he would have rather went to Olive Garden. I got the white pizza special which was decent but a little too burnt. That's all we got with 3 little artichokes and one glass of wine and it was over $100. The pizza's are too small. The place looks cute but I wouldn't go back because I can think of a million other places I would rather spend $100 at. I'm only giving 3 stars for service alone.

Food's pretty mediocre. Our calamari was just ok, with a pale batter that tasted on par with what I'd expect and a pretty uninspired sauce. Pasta was bad, basically on par with something I'd have microwaved from some ready-to-eat frozen bag. We took two bites of the enormous plate and took the rest to go, which we gave to a homeless man. Pizza was substantially better, with a fairly well done crust, but toppings were only adequate, with large hard chunks of cheese and excessively leafy greens that created too much volume when trying to enjoy a slice, but still acceptable. Look, it's not awful, servers were nice and the portion sizes are extremely generous, but ask yourself why are you eating out and then why are you eating here? There are better Italian places, there are better pizza places.

We absolutely love Bella Napoli. The pastas are pretty good. The pizzas and Caesar salad you can never go wrong with. We have been here at least 10 times and continue to love the vibe and the owners. Highly recommend.

My name is Oliver, and I want to say that this place is amazing, excellent service, I was hosted by Francesco very cordialy and then my waiter was Matt, both are great examples of peak service in the service industry. But the food, was as amazing as the service. The desserts where also amazing. There is nothing negative at all about this place. I recommend the Tortadella Nona as dessert, that is an explosion of a perfect combination of aroma, texture and taste. 10/10.

Delicious lunch at Bella Napoli. We ate outside on the patio and the service was excellent. Very accommodating with my daughter too. The food was fresh and well prepared. The pizza crust is exemplary and the panini made from it may have been better than the pizza! Only complaint was the pizza was a little soggy in the very middle, but the flavors were on point and the crust had great color and texture.

Nashville isn't known for its pizza, but this place surprised me with authentic Neapolitan Pizza comparable to that I've had in Napoli. The restaurant is also very cozy with brick walls, a brick oven in an exposed kitchen, and friendly Italian faces at every corner from the hosts to the guests. A true hidden gem in Nashville.

As a New Yorker, I can honestly say I’ve found the best pizza in Nashville. Delicious ingredients on this authentic Napoletano style pie. The brick oven creates a perfect crust. Staying at the Virgin Hotel. Asked for a suggestion and I ended up at Bella Napoli. Great Italian food in Nashville and I am Italian. Server was great. She made some great food recommendation and paired my wine. Pizza special with the artichoke cream and speck was the bomb. Pinot Nero from Alto Adige hit the spot. Glad I had dinner here. Will definitely be dining here again if I am ever back in Nashville!

This place is the best.. we came in with 6 people on a friday night.. Francesco seated us within 5 mins .. great service by Matt who was so patient with all of us... Francesco was amazing! He offered us some homemade delicious lemoncello (not sure how to spell it) .. they made us philadelphians feel so welcome and gave us some recommendations on where to go... and the food was great!!! 10/10 recommend ... thanks everyone!!!

Nice to find napoleon pizza. Nashville. The staff and owner seem to be all Italian, so that explains the great taste and service. They are always busy, so maybe make a reservation. Thin crust that is hand tossed.

Bella Napolis has the best Italian cuisine in the south. Came here for the time back in ‘19 and have always had the best service. When I think of Italian food I always think about Bella’s. Sadly I don’t live in Nashville anymore but this place will always hold a special place in my heart. Cherie “Brooke” was the best server there and made my friends and I feel like family whenever we dined in.

Pizza was just OK. Nothing to rave about. The margarita pizza was literally cheese pizza. Very blah. Lasagna however was very good, but the portion seemed a bit small. Our server also did not tell us the specials. We only knew there was an app specials when we overheard another server telling the table next to us. Finally, they were out of calamari which is one of the reasons we went (as we looked at the menu online).

DELIZIOSO!!! Did not disappoint. Make a reservation well in advance if you don't want to sit in the courtyard. The Limoncello Cream was a perfect ending to to a lovely, authentic Italian feast.

Location is unique and parking was not an issue, most of Nashville is used to paying for parking. Staff was friendly and attentive, food was good, not that good is bad. Menu is small and not overwhelming by any means but ask your server about special dishes. We ordered salads and they came out with very little dressing, seemed like all we were eating was lettuce. The main courses were very tasty, love the homemade noodles.

I'm currently having to avoid dairy and soy due to my breastfed sons sensitivity and not only was the server knowledgeable on their menu items, he informed me that they don't use soy at all, which is amazing. Yum! Great pizza! There is indoor and outdoor seating. I would definitely recommend. We got some dirty dishes and the service took a long time, but the pizza was really good and the servers were very polite about everything so it was worth it.

Incredible! We met some friends here last weekend and had to go again this weekend because it was just that good. The food looked great, and tasted pretty solid overall. I think for the price it wasn’t anything particularly special, but it was a welcome meal after a long day. If we could do it again, we wouldn’t have ordered the calamari, simply because it came out about five minutes after the pizzas did even though it was ordered as an appetizer. The staff was very friendly.

1 year ago today, I found myself in Nashville taking a trip with my other half and we love a good traditional wood fire oven pizza. We went to this place on a whim. Nestled in a little back alley we didn't know what to expect. We walk in around noon and we're the only people there. Naturally we got skeptical but once we got our pies... Well let's start off by saying I'm a self proclaimed pizza expert. This pizza blew me away. It was perfect. Light, yet flavorful. Just perfect. 10/10 pizza.

We were in Nashville for the day, Had no idea about dinner place. This looked good. We called( last minute) they were booked. We were told it might be 20 mins without reservation. It was about 15 maybe 20 . Francesco got us a table and apologized to us for the wait ( mind you , our fault not his) offered lemonciello . So personable and nice . I am shocked by the overwhelming praise for this place. I went with a party of six and we variously got pasta and pizza. My lasagna was pretty good but forgettable and that seems to have been the consenus among everyone I was with. I am not sure where good Italian is in Nashville but I find the current 4.6 rating of this place to be way too much relative to 4.5+ ratings on other restaurants. Unrelated to the rating: Our server was friendly and attentive but felt like a used car salesman in terms of trying to hype up the food. He also couldn't tell us what kind of pasta was being served with the chicken parm ("could be spaghetti, could be penne") which makes me wonder about how the kitchen staff is organizationally disconnected from the wait staff. They also couldn't make any modifications to any of the meals because it was "a busy night”. If you're going to play it that way the food has to be exceptional. It wasn't. I suggest heading up to Germantown.

A local favorite! The pizza here is amazing! My wife and I like to come here for special occasions, although we shouldn't, we should come more often! We've tried probably half of the pizza's on the menu and have loved each one. The wine and beer lists aren't the most extensive, but what they do have is at least good. The deserts are great as well!

We visited Bella Napoli for the second time this past weekend. I really like this place. The location is charming - set back in a little cobblestone alleyway. We have never eaten outside, but the outdoor dining looks really cute. The inside is broken up into two rooms, and it reminds me of something you'd find in Europe. We had excellent meals - everyone enjoyed their selections - we had a variety of pizzas, pastas and meal dishes among the 5 of us. Our waiter, Spencer, was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu - especially given that he had only worked there for a short time. He also was nice enough to run out after us when my son left his hat in the restaurant. We definitely will visit again!

Authentic pizza and spaghetti. The whole family loved the food, including the salads and homemade "croutons". You can taste the quality in the ingredients used which makes a huge difference in the sauces. The parking is tight but worth it. They have friendly service and are quick to get your order out, so even if they are busy I doubt you wait long for a table.

Ordered two pizzas and a salad. Overall, pretty good! Would've hoped that the toppings would've been roasted in the oven too (got the ham, peas, mushroom). They were cold. The dough though was fantastic! Knocked a couple stars because the host kept ignoring us in favor of chatting with friends. Looked like he was annoyed by customers needing help/picking up.

Why go to Italy when you can go to Bella Napoli here in Nashville? This is as authentic Italian as you can get here in the states. The ambiance is cozy and warm, the food is incredibly delicious and reasonably priced, and it's off the beaten path from the hustle and bustle. I recommend the fried calamari, Margherita or quattro formaggio pizza, lasagna or penne alla vodka, and you have to get the canolis! We went all out and it was worth every cent.

Service wear decent. The pizza was a little underwhelming, we got the special margherita, it fell apart trying to cut it or eat it and felt a little soggy/wet. The brioche appetizer was very dry on the edges it almost hurt trying to bite into it. Maybe will try a non pizza menu item next time. also its all street parking unless you want to pay 5 dollars for an hour or 9 for 3 hours for the pay to park in front of the restaurant

We've been going here for years. Authentic Italian family who moved here and opened a real Italian restaurant. They import many of their ingredients from Italy. In my opinion this is one of the few solid restaurants in Nashville. And it's tucked away and typically frequented by locals. Amazing place.

Their wood-fired pizza is amazing! I have been here twice now and I've had nothing but good experiences. The waiter was great and the bartender made delicious drinks. Our food came out in a timely manner and it was warm and delicious. I just moved to Nashville about 3 weeks ago and have already been twice. This will definitely be a regular dinner spot for me. Excellent menu choices! Pizza crust is thin, light and airy just like the server described it. The caprese salad was very good and the presentation was beautiful. Prices are moderate for a place that adds little extras in the quality of the food, the ambiance of the dining room and the presentation on the plate. I would definitely eat here again. The service was great and we almost closed the dining room down with only 3 minutes to spare. The staff was courteous and friendly.

Great local Italian bistro and pizzeria. Their crust is reminiscent of some of the joints in South Philly. The Margherita Pizza is excellent. My only regret is no raviolis! It tucked away down behind Taco Mamacita. Check it out, you won't regret it.

This place was absolutely magnificent we got an appetizer with eggplant in it you have to try it it was so good. But if you're going on the weekend make sure you have a reservation we were able to make it in a little early so we actually got a table when we walked in. Authentic Italian restaurant in an old industrial building with a great atmosphere. Everyone loved the pizza alhough I and a couple of others got lasagna and fettuccini, which were both delicious. The only negative is I would like to see more pizza and pasta selections which are each ~4 choices.

The place is far back through a short alley walk. It is definitely a hole in the wall. The place was small. The kitchen had a brick oven in it that looked nice. The bathroom was clean. They seated me quickly as I had a reservation. I really enjoyed the bruschetta, it didn’t look like much but it was super flavorful and delicious. The spaghetti was like any other spaghetti I’d tasted. I liked that the noodles were a tad bit firm and not super soft or mushy. My sweet tea was okay. I enjoyed the flat bread, it was the perfect texture and was very nice. The waiter that served us did his job but wasn’t really nice or extra friendly. Overall, a pretty good place to get Italian but not the best place.

All I can say is WOW! We stumbled in late Sunday afternoon around 3pm and it was not busy. We ordered 3 pizzas and spaghetti for the kids. The pizzas are a "personal" size, but huge in my opinion. The crust is light airy and just perfection. Family owned and operated made with love and a passion for amazing food.

This place is tucked in a back alley way. If I had not been with friends I would not have found it. The atmosphere is nice, and it gives you a vibe for that Italian mob setting. Which made me want to talk like the Godfather 😂 The bruschetta is amazing. Mouthwatering, amazing. Especially with eggplant on it 👌 whoo! So delicious. I hear the pasta and the pizza are killer too, but for my first time I went with the Turkey BLT and loved it. You should check it out!

The food was good, and portions filling; however, no kids menu existed, and they charged $6.95 for plain, buttered noodles and $6.95 for a FEW pieces of dry, unflavored chicken. That's nearly $14 for far less than a full adult size meal at nearly the same price. Better Italian restaurants exist, especially at these prices.

I was given a great recommendation to try this place and I wasn't disappointed. Pizza is cooked on a wood-fire oven which in my opinion is what takes it from good to great. I wouldn't have ordered it if someone hadn't previously told me to but the gnocchi was a SHOW STOPPER, holy guacamole it's good. Edgehill parking is a bear but they have a valet which is awesome.

Love this spot for lunch! Never crowded and always good service. I have been on an eggplant parm panini kick there recently because I love my double carbs. The panini bread is so amazing and I like their sauce too. Prices are reasonable and it's good for medium size parties. Definitely recommend!

Every time I come to Nashville, I always make sure to stop by here. It's a great Italian place, but I'm a big fan of their wood-fired pizza. They serve it uncut so you have to cut it yourself. That way it stays warmer longer.

Really enjoyed the food and service! The location and decor is really cool, which gives a nice atmosphere. I recommend lunch because the prices are lower. It falls somewhere in the middle between the fine dining and pizza shops that you normally think of for Italian food.

Bella Napoli is a hidden gem! We found it a few years ago and it is one of our favorite date night spots. Not fancy, and hidden in the Villa Place / Belmont area. Pizzas are incredible - as is their chicken parm, salads, and deserts -- the tiramisu and cannoli are must haves. I suggest fasting 🤣 before coming. You will want antipasto, caprese, Caesar salad, pizza, chicken parm, two deserts and wine. Just sit back and enjoy the cool ambiance - likely to see some college kids and other locals. Owner is always there and kitchen staff doesn't seem to have high turnover -- consistently perfect. Not a huge wine list - but good enough. You can get a nice bottle priced very fairly. Bar is decently stocked - again not an overly fancy bar but adequate -- never had a bad drink, bad bottle of wine, or bad meal. Best Italian fare in Nash.

Crisp crust with a soft chewy center and baked in a wood fire oven - this pizza dough was just about perfect! We had several pizza variations along with the spaghetti al pomodoro, which was delicious. Tomato, garlic, and homemade pasta - simple and pure. Truthfully I could have made a meal out of the tomato sauce and pizza crusts. Sometimes the most simple of meals are the best. Plus the location is tucked away in a old brick building, making it a bit of an adventure finding it. Would definitely go back again.

When you arrive at Bella Napoli Pizzeria, it's like taking a walk in a European courtyard. I love this place and it has become a weekly treat. The pizza is the way pizza is supposed to be, you simply cannot beat ingredients imported from Italy cooked to perfection in a wood fired brick oven. My friend was bragging he found a great true Italian Pizza at the farmer's market and I asked if he'd been to Bella Napoli and he had not, so I told him to try Bella Napoli Pizzeria (since we'd both been to Italy and know what good pizza is) he confessed this is the best pizza in Nashville. I am a health snob and I feel good about the ingredients in this pizza, the best of the best and fresh too. You simply cannot beat this pizza, it's superior on many levels. I also love the Salsiccia & Mozzarella panini, delicious, now I'm hungry!

Bella Napoli is a perfect neighborhood Italian place. It's become one of our favorite local spots, because you can have a quiet reasonable lunch as well as a wonderful intimate dinner. The atmosphere is rustic, homey, inviting, and fitting for any type of evening. And the food is just straight out of Italy, literally. Their ingredients are 90% imported from Italy and you can hear Italian being spoken through the open air kitchen. If they have a special pizza with the fresh truffle oil mozzarella ball....GET AT IT. The pasta is always a great choice, it's often finished in their wood fire oven to make the perfect crispity topping. This is the kind of place you stay and talk after your meal is over, because it is such a comfortable atmosphere. We're on our way back now...

Well as you can see by my last name I'm Italian and I'm pretty particular about my food so when I was told by a good friend that an Italian from New York came because he heard Tennessee was desperately in need of an authentic Italian restaurant and "He was it" well okay it was decent but it wasn't exactly Italian Mana from heaven. Since you asked I've got to say that I liked the ambience and it was a clean place, although women's bathroom was freezing cold. But here's something I noticed the most, the music was anything but Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin, in fact it was some weird wind instrument new age music. Thanks for recruiting my opinion, not sure I'd go back. It was not bellissimo!

We go to Bella Napoli all the time and it is consistently delicious. I have never had a bad experience in my countless visits. They use San Marzano tomatoes, which are simply the best. I read a review on here complaining that the sauce was too tomatoey. Honestly, I don't know where this person eats. Bella Napoli's sauce is the absolute best I've tasted--and I'm from an Italian family of chefs. (Shh, don't tell them I said that!) My boyfriend always orders the Quattro Formaggi pizza and it's dynamite. Sure, it's more expensive than Pizza Perfect or other traditional American joints, but HELLO, the dough is from the family's mill in Italy, the sauce is made from the best tomatoes on earth, the buffalo mozzarella is also from Italy. Importing delicious ingredients isn't cheap. We have always had a good experience with the waitstaff, as well. They're attentive and precise but unobtrusive. I was surprised to see that a few people have had bad experiences with the staff. Maybe these were just off nights? Don't know. It should go without saying by now that if you love Papa John's, keep ordering from Papa John's. This pizza is QUALITY, and it's different than you might expect.

My husband, son, and I eat here often. We lived in Italy for three years and I must say this is the closest I've seen in the U.S. to good Italian (not American) pizza. I've had their penne alla vodka and my husband has had their chicken parm and those were good as well. It also has a nice patio to sit in during the summer. I would definitely recommend it.

They are located in the Edge Hill area, off Music Row, 3 minutes from Belmont University and Vandi. The staff has always been friendly. I've been to Bella Napoli Pizzeria several times and have always had a great experience. Their authentic Neapolitan pizzas and pastas are always delicious. For some, it may be a little different not having pizza cut ahead of time, (unless you want them to) but with this kind of quality cheese, cutting the pizza one piece at a time savors the flavor of the cheese and keeps it from drying out, at least from what I know. I've had their, Tiramisu, Panna Cotta as well as the Nutella Pizza desserts and they are all very good. I will continue to take my wife, family and friends to Bella Napoli Pizzeria and highly recamend it to you. Give them a try if you live in or plan on visiting Nashville.

Allow me to preface by saying that we lived in Napoli. For years. So we know "authentic" food when we taste it. Plus my Darling Bride was a chef... so we understand and appreciate good food. We began with Mussels Marinara, which were superb,. I opted for the Caprese Salad and was stunned to see three slices of un-ripened tomato and three slices of Mozzarella arrive, drizzled with Balsamic Vinaigrette! Folks, that is not a Caprese Salad. For the main course the Darling Bride had spaghetti with clams. I went off menu and the chef prepared Spaghetti Carbonara for me. Instead of steaming the clams in wine and lemon, they were presented in a rich, red tomato sauce that dd not look or taste like fresh tomatoes. My Carbonara was authentic enough, if not a little dry for my tastes. For takeout we ordered a pizza, which WAS, in fact, great old world pizza. THIS is Napoli pizza, folks... except in Napoli the pizzas are not sliced. You cut the pizza as you eat it to prevent the crust from getting soggy. The final surprise of the visit was the bill. We were in total sticker shock when, for two humble appetizers, two entrees, two beverages and a pizza to go, we were presented a bill nearing $100. I can understand that in New York, Los Angeles or maybe even Chicago... but NASHVILLE? Just know that if you're going to indulge Italian style (which means a lot of food), it's gonna cost you! Service was satisfactory, although it wasn't very busy when we were there. The server was friendly, cordial and knowledgeable about the menu. No complaints. You really can't go wrong with authentic Neopolitan pizza, and these guys got it right. Everything else? It's a loose translation of "authentic" Napoli cuisine, at best.
