Reviews of West Indies Soul Food

Our company had a luncheon event for 200 people. The staff at West Indies Soul were a pleasure to work with! They responded to my inquiries and questions quickly and were very helpful. The food was amazing and affordable. There were lots of compliments and happy bellies. I would not hesitate to use them in the future. Thanks for a great job!

They recently opened up at their official brick and mortar and it was awesome. Ordered takeout and had the beef patty, jerk chicken, plantains, and lemonade. Everything was super good and amazing! Definitely check them out. Will be back often!

Finally a Caribbean restaurant in the Twin Cities that makes Jamaican jerk chicken grilled. My husband really liked the curry goat and I thought the jerk chicken was pretty good and it was grilled not sure if it was smoked but it was grilled really good. Very good jerk sauce. Employees were very kind with good customer service. It is worth the drive from Brooklyn Park if I'm not driving Uber or Lyft in the area.

Tried the jerk chicken, plantains, and a mild beef patty with my partner. Everything was 10/10 good! The lemonade was delicious too. We will definitely be back! So happy to have this spot in the neighborhood.

Exceptional, the fact the young man on the phone explained the business and going between food truck in the sunmer and an actual location in the winter months. I was skeptical at first, but don't let that stop you from this amazing food. I believe she was the owner hand cooking all meals and the smells of carribean goodness filling the room. I didn't even know they existed tucked away across the street from The best steakhouse. Real food, real spices, the portions fitting to the price. I ordered oxtail it came with rice and peas and choice of side I did cabbage. I would have a picture but I was too excited, I left not one peice behind and would continue to support this local business. Parking is tough but pickup is quick, you order online or over the phone and it's ready pretty quickly. So you can quick park and run in.
Thank you for bringing real food to the cities, I was losing faith in real careibean food that isn't watered down to fit Minnesota. Amazing! Order the homemade lemonade it's a good touch to any meal or spice.

Amazing curried goat and beef patties for our Jamaican feast! Fantastic, gracious, and professional service as well. Thanks, Summer and Sharon!

As a staff member at High School for Recording Arts, Sharon's West Indie Soul Food has catered delicious, nutritious food for over 300 daily. Having been in the education field for the past 7 years I can without a doubt state this is the best school lunches students in Minnesota can get.
Outside of "school" lunches, the food truck is smacking. As someone who is a baby to spicy food, she is one of the few people who can get me to eat spicy AND my vegetables :) If you see them around the state fair make sure to get a Jamaican patty and some ginger beer. You cant go wrong!

I was a student at the High School for Recording Arts, and this company was the caterer for our school’s lunches. Now, as a student I can confidently say I’ve had some pretty bland and boring lunches with the same depressing 7 day meal plans. This company blew the roof off of my expectations, everyday was something new and exciting and I was never perturbed by them. The portions were always just enough to keep you satisfied, and the entrees were incredibly savory. The vast amounts of different items on their menu ensured I was never eating the same boring old school lunches. They always went above and beyond with their craftsmanship of dishes. If you are looking for exotic, excellently crafted dishes with both original and traditional tastes of Carribean cuisine, than West Indies Soul Food is the place you need to book now.

Sharon cooks with so much love and passion that you can taste it in every bite. Using the curb side ordering is simple and convenient for all! I also make sure to follow West Indies Soul Food on social media to see where the truck is. I recently had the new jerk chicken tacos and they were delicious!

The food was so authentic and delicious. We had the food truck come to a conference we held. It worked out great and was more cost effective and tasty than a buffet lunch we could have arranged. I’d Highly recommend!

I’ve enjoyed West Indies Soul Food for many years: through their food truck and booth at the Minnesota State Fair. This was my first visit to their new brick and mortar location in St. Paul. I was absolutely blown away by the flavors and quality of the food! I ordered the fried jerk chicken special. Spicy and crispy jerk chicken with creamy mac and the best veggies I’ve ever had. I could eat the veggies alone with nothing else. The oxtail was tender thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in the family. Everything was made fresh and with care. WISF truly has some of the best Caribbean food you will find in Minnesota!
