What an awesome and friendly place. Owner was pleasant to talk to as well. Initially typed in Al's and it was completely packed and I am glad it was because we ended up going here. We ordered the Sausage croissant, meat lovers omelet, a crepe and french toast. Look how big the omelet was!! Oh and the french toas was absolutely with the cinnamon in it👌. Everything was absolutely delicious and when we come back into town we are definitely coming back.

Great choice for grabbing a quick bite in the heart of Dinkytown. Service was friendly and the food came out very fast. The gyro was very tasty and I would definitely order another!

The customer service is excellent and the food is even better. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I had a breakfast sandwich and my friend had the cinnamon french toast. It was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had, we both left very satisfied and agreed to make this a regular breakfast spot.

I love the avocado toast. Has two eggs, pico de Gallo, and avocado slices served on perfectly toasted slices of bread (of your choosing). Even more in love with Tony's pancakes. (I got chocolate pancakes) They were fluffy, thick, and just a mouthful of deliciousness with each bite! 🥞🥞🥞 Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner whether it's by yourself, with friends or the whole family.

Expected something else from the restaurant since I wasn't aware it isn't a full service restaurant. Pretty decent food quality for the price. Overall pretty good, but they have to improve the customer service. I've been there twice so far and I think the best items they have on the menu are the breakfast meals. I went for an Alfredo once and I didn't enjoy it as much. I also expect at least to be asked if it is my first time at the restaurant when I order instead of just waiting for an order from a menu I've never seen and bringing the food to the table. Many restaurants that are far from being full service restaurants do it and it definitely makes the difference on customer satisfaction

Very adequate breakfast. Decent portions, fresh ingredients, pretty tasty, arrived VERY quickly, reasonable prices. But nothing super fancy, good quality just not great. Got the very veggie omlette. This pic is after two bites, so not HUGE portions, but quite adequate.

The huevos rancheros are amazing! The chorizo is so juicy and tasty with the black beans! It all ties together so well! MUST TRY! And it comes with hash browns. I asked for the pico de Gallo to be put in the side so I don’t know where it would have gone on but even the pico was also tasty!

No frills, but the food was good. The eggs in my omelette weren't beaten that well, but even though it wasn't the prettiest sight, I enjoyed it. The hash browns were perfectly cooked and the pancakes were above average. Definitely worth the trip.

Surprisingly, the best pancakes I've had in the Cities so far. The other food is pretty good, pretty standard breakfast fare. But the pancakes were buttery and not overly filling!

Stopped here on our way back to KC. Best biscuits & gravy made with italian sausage!!! Fast service and Tony delivered food and chatted with customers. He even recommended trying a locally made hot sauce that he has (Mr. Fuzz’s). Highly recommend!!

My friends and I were looking for an inexpensive place to have brunch and Tony's was conveniently right down the street from her place so we decided to check it out. Really glad we did! I moved here a little over a year ago and I've been looking for a good place for pancakes, been to a couple of highly recommended diners and actually been disappointed. Came here and they let me get a short stack with one plain, one blueberry and one chocolate chip because I couldn't decide! Very friendly excellent service and the food was delicious! Can't wait to go back and try the rest of their menu!

Great food, good prices, and quick service! The gyro burger is amazing, as well as the blueberry pancakes! Tony does a great job with feeding Gopher sports teams and the U of M campus. I graduated a few years ago and will still drive to campus just for his food!

Worried it would be "college town food". Actually it was very good! Gyro had fresh ingredients and nice dressing. French fries are creamy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Staff is very nice!

I absolutely love eating at Tony's! I am obsessed with the blueberry pancakes, hash browns, and omelettes. Everything is reasonably priced and the customer service is unmatched. It's wonderful to actually get to see the owner, Tony, walking around the restaurant and checking in with customers. I HIGHLY recommend Tony's Diner.

We went to Tony's for breakfast (party of 2 only) and was a pretty decent overall experience. Our pancakes and hashbrowns took quite a while to show up, but the prices are reasonable for a breakfast place, unlike so many around, and the food was tasty. If you like eggs, they're sure to have something you like, as there's a ton of egg options!

Love going to Tony's Diner. Awesome spot on Campus and in Dinkytown. Quiet Atmosphere with delicious food. Order at the front and seat yourself. Great prices and great staff. Been multiple times and have never been disappointed with my meal. Can't go wrong with breakfast food or a burger here. Rating 9/10.

What a fun place. We stopped here for a late brunch on a Sunday. The breakfast options were delicious. I was able to watch a football game as my friends all player Pokemon go. There are several pokestops near enough to spin while eating. There aren't many large tables and it was steadily busy.

This is our go-to place when I visit my sister. They make a hearty split pea soup and I always have the basic grilled cheese and tomato always done how I like it--really hot and melted. Service is not always great...and sometimes we have to wait to be seated.

The food and service is good, but it is all food that you could make with ingredients you most likely have in your kitchen. Omlets and toast type deal. It's where I go out with friends for breakfast when one of us is too lazy to cook. (Also there's no waffles)

A typical diner location in a college area. Solid food at good prices. All day breakfast is really nice to fix that hangover if you're a college kid. Pretty quite when there aren't sports on the TVs. Nothing that is 'die die gotta try' but if you're in the area and looking for a bite it's a good choice.

The food is really good, esp. the pancakes! But the service is pretty terrible - I’ve been there multiple times where I never got my food after waiting for about 45 mins to an hour. We go back because the food is so good, but wish the service was better.

Notably nice staff. However, unable to make substitutions for gluten-free patrons or customers with an allergy. Tony's, please consider revising your practice of zero substitutions. There are lots of customers that would appreciate this.

If you want a classic american style breakfast fast, Tony's is the place in dinkytown. Service is fast, and you get your food relatively soon. The food is very standard - the potatoes I got seemed to be grated, which I found odd. Nothing superb, but fast, and right in central dinkytown.

Been there a couple of times and never fails to dissapoint. The food is good, decently priced, and with quick service. Usually pretty clean. Always going to have college kids there. It's relatively small, so if it gets busy you may have to wait for a seat.

Enough with the hash browns! The only two breakfast items without them are the pancakes/French toast and the English muffin sandwich. Things were clean, service was quick, the food was overpriced — though that could just be the location. I'd go there again for the French toast, but not much else draws me back to this place.

A dinkytown classic for breakfast, its fast, cheap, and tasty but dont expect much more than simple american breakfast food. No eggs benedict or biscuits and gravy to be found, but they do have several omelettes to pick from.
