The sushi was above average for buffet-style. The rest of the buffet entrees were seriously lacking though, in both variety and quality. Shockingly few chicken dishes. No spare ribs. Missing a lot of common buffet items.

This is 17 dollar seafood hibachi Asian sushi Buffett restaurant in west St. Paul. It was pretty clean and well stocked. The hibachi is good and worth the 16 dolllars. The shrimp and sushi is also good. They also had some pork buns and seasame balls for a Chinese desert. Waitress kept up with tray and water and offered a seafood cracker for the crab. Well worth a try on a Saturday night for 17 dollars what you waiting for ? Give it a try

This buffet has grown just above average from last year. The food is fresh, there's a variety of selections (meat to vegetarian), and sushi was good but mostly crab and not fish. Hot pot was below average because of ingredient selections (only vegetables, shrimp, and chicken- no other meat) and broth was average. Hibachi was great only because the chef seasoned the dish very well. Dim sum looked great but I only had the pig feet. Adult price on weekday lunch $14

Food was amazing, many different varieties and cuisines. The staffs are so nice we had a fun time. Great price for the quality of the buffet! Definitely recommend!

Don't be fooled by it's appearance. Once in side you are transported to one of the best buffets in the Twin Cities. The selection is top notch and the food was well above average for buffet food. The sushi choices were incredible.

Very spacious, clean, and staffs were extremely NICE! We went for dinner so it was $15.99 per person no drinks included expect water. I would say they do have a very good variety of dishes. Their sushi is actually pretty great (most of the buffet sushi rice kinda suck). Not many options for dim sum but they have stew pig feet BIG yes to a Cantonese person lol! The only thing I feel a bit disappointed is their seafood bc that what I came for. It wasn't fresh. I can taste the texture decomposed and some ammonia. Hope they'll do better in the future.

Crab legs were delicious and not the cheap kind. It was very busy and New Years Day but staff were very nice and food was fresh. Only issue were unattended kids grabbing dessert with their hands at buffet.... NOT COOL.

Huge selection! Food could have been warmer. Kung Pao and Sesame chickens tasted like they had been sitting out for a bit. Mtn dew tap was off...little too much syrup. Lots of room during lunch and great service with refills.

Friendly staff, one lady saw me struggling with the chili crab and so she came over and gave me the tools without me asking. I am very surprised with the choices and how they tasted - for $20+! Definitely coming back here!

This place has a sushi bar, Mongolian BBQ and a Pho/Hot Pot Bar on top of the full food buffet that includes dim sum. Over all a great experience. You can even add snow crab for $14.99.

You can't go wrong with the buffet and hibachi here. The amount of food that is served out on the carts can easily form a mountain. There is a wide selection of Asian style like food with a few American foods (pizza, waffle fries, and etc). The food selection for the hibachi is decent. The service here is good and nothing to complain about. This place is great for getting lunch with friends and/or dinner with the family. Take-out is something that they do here as well. The pho is not the greatest or authentic like to Vietnamese pho, so don't come here for that.

Excellent food, great service, amazing atmosphere. They have seafood, a massive sushi bar, a hibachi grill, ten tables of entrees, and great seatings. It blows me away the variety they have here, it's far more diverse and authentic than anything else I've had at any other restaurant in the twin cities. Come in at noon for the best prices, you won't regret it!

Very tasty food in affordable price. Visited this place on a Sunday and I was completely satisfied with wide variety of Asian food. Hot pot, hibachi (no frozen meat), clams, crawfish and ambience are my favorites here. If you are a foody, I’ll definitely recommend this place.

You must catch this place in the 1st hour it's open. When the food is fresh, it's good. Over the day when it's not busy, it sits and get cold. My biggest complaint is cold food. The staff is nice and the price is reasonable. Also, 1hr before closing they discount 40% off takeout!

Good food, good variety. My only dissatisfaction was, trying to put sweet and sour sauce into a small plastic portion cup. The container couldn't stand the hot temperature of the sauce and buckled when I tried, repeatedly, to snap on a lid for carryout. It was quite messy and my hands wound up covered in sticky sauce. Never did get that lid on. Aside from that everything else was fine.

I've come a few times and for the price it's a really nice place! Sometimes the food gets a bit lukewarm, but they usually switch it our often. Gotta remember to be patient that's all. The guy at the desk was very sweet. My only concern is the crawfish meat, I've felt a bit sick after eating it before (unsure if it's from it) but the meat is a greyish-green/yellow. I'm not entirely sure that's good color crawfish meat, I did some research and grey usually means undercooked or spoiled. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but another than that greet service.

I visit asian buffet atleast once a week and dont really leave a review but this one of the best asian buffets i been to so far. Interior cleanliness is highlight, service is top notch, tasty food and a lot of varieties to choose from. Food will be moving fast because of its tastiness.

Food is usually good with a nice selection. Waiters/waitresses are always friendly and on top of refills. The servers clear the tables and sweep the floors under as soon as the guest leaves. Some food items are not as popular as others and can thus look a little dry. The lighting could be brighter and the booths are a little worn, bit otherwise kept up.

Loved that the buffet had choices that all the kids liked, and not just pizza. They chowed down on the good chicken wings, fruit, and pastas. The seafood selection was awesome, and overall a ton of choices. We didn’t try the build your own soup or hibachi but seemed like great selections. Best part handsdown was the service. The older woman that took care of us was so friendly and attentive, which you don’t normally get at a buffet. Very good!

Poke! Lychees! Tiramisu Mousse! Sha Mui! Went on a weekday lunch. Not busy but everything nice, clean and well stocked. Most was what other Asian buffets have but several unique offerings including Poke and lychee. Sushi roll spread was bigger than most and well attended to. Hibachi grill was nice. Included some dim sum offerings. I enjoyed the buffet for $8.99 before drink and tax. Will be back.

We really like this buffet. I love steam buns and my husband loves brothy soups...they offer both. Unfortunately we won't be back because we don't eat shellfish and my husband observed them cook shrimp in the same broth they gave him for pho.

Food was ok. For the high prices I expected better. They have hibachi and a pho bar but they don't list what is what so it's a bit confusing when trying to make your food. Dessert was very minimal and ice cream machine looked like they skipped a few cleanings.

Food was decent. Our first time there. Found the place by searching on Groupon and thought it was going to be a hibatchi like Osaka. It was a buffet, with a hibatchi type grill. There were a few things I was interested in trying, but didn't know what they were. Several items were mislabeled. There was an Udon station, but I wasn't sure where the bowls were. I walked away and came back and a man had a bowl. I asked him where he got it, he said out of the sink at the end of the station, but he wasn't sure if it was clean... HUGE selection of food, sushi, some new things I haven't seen at a buffet. I gave it 4 stars because the bathrooms were in serious need of attention.

It was a very busy day we had to wait about 30mins in line which was fine. We went on mothers day late afternoon. All the food was fresh, service was decent. The food taste was actually not bad at all, the food tastes better than most buffet. Not very greasy. They even had pho! The pho broth wasn't too beefy, it taste water down, but after putting some condiments/herbs, it was doable. Definitely would come back again! Hopefully service and food will be the same quality or better.

So it's a Chinese food buffet. Get that set in your mind immediately. After that you realize it's really good for what it is. The hibachi has somewhat limited selection, but is really good, soup bar is the same.

It is a buffet with affordable price not expensive fine-dining restaurant. Food and services are fantastic. Free birthday celebration is awesome. As long as everyone especially kids in the family has a good time together, it is the best restaurant to me.

Everything else went well at the buffet except when I was done eating and getting ready to leave, the waitress questioned, "no tip?" and then stated me to leave a $5 tip. I did tip her but just for future purposes, please let your waiter/waitress know and to stop asking for tips.

Tasty food, great staff, a nice place to eat!!! Update: I went back on 4/18/22, and their General Tso's chicken seemed to taste different, more like tomato sauce, than it used to. Not a good development. It also seemed to have gone up slightly in price; but maybe that's just the difference between lunch and dinner. The staff is still pretty awesome, though. They were the reason why I didn't go down from 5 stars to 3. If the extra $ goes to pay the staff what they're worth, I'm all good with it.

The place is beautiful. However, the food itself left much to be desired. Flavors weren't great, and some hot food items were not kept at the right temperature; they were quite cold actually. They were also quite quick to assume your meal had ended. They brought out a little plate with fortune cookies after we had only gotten 2 plates. Of which we didn't eat much from, so you wouldn't know we were ready to go that fast, I thought. So, unimpressive overall.

I know some things about Chinese/Pan-Asian buffets. This place is top-notch. I was there off-hours on a Tuesday and still found every sushi platter and steam tray heaped with fresh food. Wait staff was quick on the refills. Sushi was reassuringly chilly, impressive in variety, and competent in construction. The buffet standards, lo mein, egg rolls, dumplings and assorted sugar-chickens were all excellent, and the inscrutable buffet outliers were likewise a dubious delight.

Dim sum was amazing! I enjoyed the variety of sushi and they all tasted fresh and good! I wish the hibachi bar had constant staffing because I would would have liked to see the grill. The pho bar was also unmanned for a good amount of time but worth the wait. Being able to customize the quantity of cilantro and basil was really fun! The hot foods options were lackluster and very average for a buffet. If you're nearby and craving some sushi and dim sum I would recommend!

My boyfriend and I come here at least twice a month just because we love it. Both for different reasons but still the same love for coming here. The staff are always a pleasure to see as they're always happy! I would highly recommend coming here, they also have a wheel to spin if you eat on your birthday!

Our family loves this restaurant, we visit often. Dinner service tonight was exceptional, the sushi is always fresh and they have some of the best dishes available in the buffet. The seafood is by far the star of the show!! This place is a must eat!!!

First buffet I've been to since the pandemic arrived upon us. Was curious how they'd handle shared utensils. It was back to normal in this case, glad I still carry hand sanitizer. Food was average, however, we were there for a late dinner and it may have been due to our timing that it didn't taste as fresh. I must call out that the staff was very friendly and attentive.

Good food, but lacking in quality. The taste was decent, not terrible, but not amazing either. The chicken bites (General Tso's, Orange, Black pepper) were all too sweet. The sushi rice was underwhelming, but the other ingredients made up for it. The crab sushi were delicious.

I've been there 2 times during the last 6 months. everything is great except the part where waiter/waitress asking for tip. Their dishes are great. The pho though needs to be better. Of course they're not Vietnamese so can't expect that outcome. I will always go there. One thing though, they force this tip fee. When they forced a tip fee it's no longer a tip. But a fee. Tips should be a choice.

This place was pretty good and the prices reasonable. They were a little slow on bringing fresh stuff out but not too bad. The food was pretty good and a fair amount of variety. I wish they had the Mongolian "make your own stir fry" but unfortunately they dont. There were a lot of people of Asian descent eating here when I went. I took this as a good sign before I ate, that the food is decent and quality. They would on average probably know better than I.

I like the food there always. I always came here. But today a thing happened made me kind of a little uncomfortable. Normally we just paid tips at the reception when we paid our bill ahead. But today it was my friend’s treat and I didn’t know if he paid tips or not cuz it’s his first time in this buffet restaurant and when we just about to leaving . A waitress came and said YOU Didn’t GIVE ME TIPS YET. So I was a little surprised that the waitress will ask customers for tips. But we still gave the tips anyway. But It did made us very uncomfortable.

Some items where very good, some was downright nasty that I had to spit it out. (Literally.) I love sushi but, their's wasn't worth eating. Same for the desserts. Hit or miss. ...I should have but,I didn't try the hibachi where I put my own ingredients, sauses, seasonings together and have the grill master sauteed it up...hmmm. may go back just to try this out and see if that would be worth a their visit..stay tuned.

Kind of annoyed with the waiters constantly coming to ask how many more attending and what the ages of the kids were and gave us the bill within the first hour of arrival when we told them we were expecting 3 more guests. My family and I eat here for my Birthday. The popping candle was the most lovely surprise. I always feel so good here. I feel like I can just get what I like & the staff isn't all up and in my face. They're courteous to let us take our time. The best part of course is the variety. My little nephews can have pizza, my sister can have sushi, my dad can have soup, my mom picks the freshest & I can just mix and match. I love that part. I have been here a couple times, but tonight was the best service out of all my visits! The waitress was attentive and super nice. I came mostly for the soup bar, but did enjoy the sushi bar as well. The sushi may look plain but had great flavor! As always, the bufffet was clean and stocked. I appreciate the dim sum too- small variety but tasty. I will definitely come back!

They have a wonderful selection and all the food items are mostly done well. People in St. Paul should be glad that they have a place like this because a whole lot of other big cities don't have buffets with this kind of variety and overall quality. Overall, it's really hard to get a deal this good for the price. The food again, is really good and the value is hard to beat. Don't go to old country or what's that other place called? Come here if u want good food at a reasonable price.

Came here around 8:25pm Aug 13, 2019. The Cashier (Also the one who seated us) was professional and nice. Some food was good and some were dry. Probably the coolest restaurant I’ve been to in a while. The indoor design is very interesting and fascinating to me. I love the little fish in the entrance. There are so many good options ranging to straight pizza to sushi to squid legs and regular hibachi. Everything tasted amazing and our server was extremely polite and even made a few nice comments on our Christmas attire. Would rate 6/5 stars if possible

The place was ok. The staff was a little unprofessional. We went there on a Wednesday afternoon, it wasn't busy at all. We paid at the front, and got our booth right away. We had gotten up and gotten our food but were still waiting for our drinks for a good 10 mins. When the waitress the finally came by with our drinks, she was on the phone! Head tilted, holding the phone with her shoulder, talking away. The food was ok but most of it was cold. The staff behind the sushi bar and grill were on their phone. I went to prepare my own hot pot soup but the cook was on his phone in the back and didn't come out until another staff member went to yell at him. Even when he came out he was still on the phone! He asked me which flavor I wanted and I told him spicy, but he was busy on the phone and just put the regular flavor. I understand it was slow but come on people!! Get off your phone's when you have work!!!! I didn't expect the best service, but I expect people to be professional. The place has lots of potential, and maybe the staff just needs more training but the over all experience for me was just ok.

Went there right when it opens and gotta say the food was alright. They didn't had other food out which I'm assuming it was for dinner time only. Some food was pretty cold after grabbing them. Wasn't warm or hot. And also need to check if the floors are dry because 1 side of the floor was pretty slippery and I almost slip while grabbing some sushi. Other than that maybe I'll come back again someday for dinner or maybe not.

Pros: The food is really good especially the hibachi bar. We had a birthday there and they made it really nice. The staff is friendly as well. Cons: After paying, we were about to meet people that was already there. We were stopped by a not nice (I assume) manager and told we had to all go back and pay a mandatory 10% tip. He argued with the cashier, who I think knew how bad it looked. I would've tipped at least 15% if it wasn't for that. We were very put off by this and hasn't always been the case for this place. They have a policy that after you pay and start on your first plate, you have give them back your receipt. It's very inconvenient stopping the first part of your meal to search your pockets for the receipt, not to mention you don't have your receipt after that.

Food was flavorful, but not hot. Lots of choices to choose from. They serve crab legs, but unfortunately it's a la carte at $7.99 a cluster. We ordered it when we paid (you pay for your meal before you are seated,) but didn't receive it until we were all on our second plate of food... Which was over 30 minutes. The waiter came by multiple times to grab plates, but didn't fill our drinks at all. We were seated by the wall with mirrors on it and it was very dirty. Fingerprints and marks all over. Seats also had very noticeable wear and tear.

They had a hot table that had a sign stating that it was malfunctioning so the food wasn't hot 😑 The soup station was a little odd with little instructions. I disagree with a lot of the reviews on here about customer service. I received excellent service from the staff here and was treated very well. However, they could use a little more rotation with their foods. Some of the hot food that I picked out was not very hot. I do, however, appreciate the wide selection of choices. Of the two asian buffets in town, we will choose this one over the other.

As soon as i arrived the server was already asking for me to leave a tip. Not only was it the first thing she said to me but also repeated it 3 times. I saw a group of ppl leaving and the server actually stopped them from leaving and demanded a tip. The other server was nice and humble. The food is pretty good. Its a nice restaurant. Just be ready for a server to constantly remind yu to leave a tip. 4 start on the guilty of the food and 3 on costumer service.

I probably would have given this place more stars but it was the experience with the waitress we had that left a bad impression of the place. My family and I were celebrating my sisters graduation from college; her boyfriend paid for our dinner but was short one person because he wasn't sure that my other sister would come. Long story short he paid for my other sister but when it came time for the waitress to clear off the table she kept asking us for the receipt after we told her that we would have it once the boyfriend got back from smoking. She came back several times asking for the receipt and at one time she yelled across the restaurant to the cashier, I'm sure it was about the receipt since it happened shortly after we told her again that we'd have it when the boyfriend returned from smoking. Prior to her asking about the receipt she literally stopped by mom and step dad from entering the seating area because she didn't believe that they were already paid for. I can understand that there may be times where people take advantage of the buffet by not paying and just eating the food and leaving but last night everyone was legitimately paid for yet we were being interrogated for a damn receipt after telling her she'd have it before we leave.

I've been a regular weekly customer and until recently was very happy with both the service and the food. It seems the dinner menu has changed quite a bit since the new year. Things like garlic shrimp and other more spicy favorites have been removed. The overall quality of the meats used seems to have went down as well. They also switched from having wooden chopsticks to plastic reusable ones. We also observed one of the people working the sushi bar without gloves working with food, then boxes off the floor, ect, then back to food. Lastly my guest went to take a spoon full of rice from a freshly placed tray and along with it came a long black hair. I'm hoping these folks just had a bad day and are not going the way of the other buffets on Robert street, lowering the quality of their food and their staff. Gonna give it one last chance.

The variety is what makes this one stand out. Sushi, teppanyaki, hibachi, pho, dim sum, plus a very generously sized regular buffet and deaert bar. Also the atmosphere was great, very clean looking, and very reasonably priced. A few dishes were hit and miss, (dry beef, cold octopus, salmon was too fishy) but they had so much to sample from that that was to be expected. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My experience from Tokyo 23. If you want to get served fresh, time is very important. Around 11:30 am , is the just fresh time for lunch, and 5:30 pm is the fresh time for dinner. The taste of food is slightly different in different time. So, I always catch the fresh time. I like variety of selections, soup, sushi and fruit. Overall, i gave 5 stars because of quality, more variety and fresh.

This place is surprisingly good. Large selection, cleanish, with a hibachi and bold your own soup. And those dumplings they eat in king fu movies. I just had never seen one in person. They often have things I've never seen. So if you are a bland crusty white dude, like my dad, you may prefer Lee an chin. But if you like to try different sometimes strange dishes, this place is fun.

It's your standard cheap Chinese buffet with the typical variety of Chinese chicken options that have been sitting on the warmers for hours and have become dry but edible. Plenty of inauthentic sushi which I know plenty of people don't mind but if you need very fresh sushi, this isn't the place for you. It's a good cheap option for lunch if your standards aren't high.

This buffet really sets the bar for all others in the region. It blows away the lake street Hibachi, which is a feat. The food is amazing for a buffet, the sushi is actually really good and made fresh by hordes of sushi chefs you can see as you walk to your table. I don't usually do the mongolian part so I can't rate, but the seafood here is off the chain! This place is extremely clean and there is a person scrubbing and sweeping something everywhere you go, we even saw them wiping the backs of chairs! That's a refreshing change compared to some buffets. They are very polite when taking plates and cover the area well. Awesome, awesome buffet!

This is one of the best chines buffets for the price you will ever have the pleasure of eating at. They have a nice selection of sushi and a great hibachi grill. All the rest of the food is great as well. Just go there once.

If your looking for a good buffet this is one to try. The atmoshphere is nice and the set up is really beautiful. Locate in the Signal Hills Mall. This place has some ups and downs. First the wide range of food is excellent! They even offer Mongolian barbeque , hibachi grill, and the new thing Pho'...The sushi bar is great and set-up nicely. They even label each sushi roll with ingredients for you , which is a great help for new sushi lovers... The basics are there (rice, beef& broccoli , chow mai fun(rice noodle) , spring rolls) even whole small fish, pot sticker and dim sum . little when it comes to the desserts but hey after eating who's got room for cake..lol.. Ok now the bad. The owners haven't mastered the skill of keeping the food hot. It looks and taste good but it tend to be room temp or colder( maybe it the exhaust fans on high over the steam tables but it less appealing cold. The crab legs (no snow just Dungeness) are way over cooked , they are mushy and not all that enjoyable. All in all even though the price is high for dinner, it's worth the try.

Good buffet with a number of more traditional Chinese selections like chicken feet, pork trotters, etc. As with all buffets like these we tend to take little from the set out foods and prefer to get the items cooked to order. This buffet offers made to order pho and other soups, hibachi items and others.

Very nice oriental buffet, with large selection of sushi and a competent, but minimalistic, hibachi grill in the back. The buffet itself is also quite large, with crav and other upscale items. Definitely worth the admission price.
