This place is seriously amazing! Right from the start the service was great. Our server Brandon was top notch. The cocktails were really creative and tasty. Appetizers were great, the perfectly seasoned, crispy smash burgers lived up to the hype! And the bananas Foster bread pudding was to die for. We will definitely be back!

Birthday dinner with my family. Started off with appetizers, Brussels sprouts which were excellent and short ribs. For dinner we chose 2 burgers, 2 jalapeño pesto pasta and 1 skirt steak with mushrooms. Everyone was extremely happy with their choices. Fancy drinks were ordered and beautifully presented. Dessert was a must, we ordered the Banana split with banana bread and homemade strawberry sauce and chocolate mousse. They also gave me a large piece of chocolate cake with sprinkles. Happy birthday to me !! Thank you for a very nice evening!!

This happens to be one of our go to places to eat. Been here many times and the food is always very good. The mussels are my absolute favorite and must have. I tried a new appetizer on their menu, blue crab with avocado on endive cups. It was a miss on several levels. First it was a very light smear of the mashed avocado with a little amount of blue crab mixed in which I could not see or taste. To make it worse it was topped with Fresno chili and spice mixture which overpowered such a delicate dish. This one needs to be rethought. Can’t win them all but I will be back for my favorites!

One of our favorite restaurants not just in Northeast, but in all of Minneapolis! The vibe is great, drinks are good, and every single thing we've ordered for food has been fantastic. Pork chop - fire! (But sadly not on the menu anymore.) Brussels sprouts are amazing. Fries are a must. Jalapeño pesto pasta is unique, and great! And I saved the best for last - get the burger. One of the best in the city!

Happy hour has some worthwhile deals, but service was slow on a Monday at 5 oclock. $8 brisket fries were mostly tastey, but I got a really fatty portion of meat. "Delilah" cocktail tasted a bit soapy due to the rose flavor. Good atmosphere, I would give it another try but today was just a 3 star visit.

Absolutely blown away by this place. Indeed beers on tap. Delicious grilled Romain Caesar, one of the best burgers I've had (think culver's style but fancy wagyu with a delicious sauce). And leveled up with our terrific and attentive server, Devon. Tried mussels for the first time and regret not ordering them sooner. Will be back. (Picture is after they were half eaten.) Update: their brunch is obviously unreal, but see some photos. Really enjoyed the Biscuits and Gravy that somehow photographs well, as well as the chicken and waffle. My partner loved the crab cake Benedict. After a year plus living in the city I can confidently say Sonder Shaker is my favorite restaurant. We will be back again and again.

I had been here once before in 2019 and enjoyed the food and cocktails. I recently returned after hearing rave reviews of their burger! The burger is fantastic, two perfect smash patties with a perfect charred crust, paired with a delicious bun and cheese! Fries were great accompaniment! Cocktails were excellent, well balanced. Happy hour pricing was an excellent perk. Looking forward to returning for another burger and trying the fall cocktail selections!

Great atmosphere and good service throughout the meal. The Wagyu Burger was very delicious, melts in your mouth, almost identical to the burger at Parlour. The burger went well with a Mirror Universe from Fair State Brewing.

Great place for happy hour. The cocktails are refreshing and the food is a great pair. I recommend the animal fries and Brussels sprouts. I’m not big fan of the salmon appetizer, but that’s more of a personal preference. The ambiance is perfect too outside of downtown and great location for date night.

Jackpot! Mind bending drinks, dishes that require 100% consumption, top notch service and quite possibly the best (or top 2) burger in MPLS! Do not sleep on this one. Animal fries, amazing! Burger, REQUIRED! Duck Poutine- only if you enjoy decadence. All cocktails- well thought out with clever combinations. I loved the Pool Rules with mezcal, passion fruit , pineapple, apricot, pisco, and habenero. Lovely.

We thought we’d try this place after hearing of their post-Covid reopening. I’m so glad we did. What a charming place with friendly staff, good food and comfy seating. I mean it has to be cool with Wes Anderson artwork/photos on the wall. Our server Devon was spot-on. He answered our menu questions, was friendly, offered tips when appropriate..... overall very professional. The food and drinks were fantastic. We tried the special, boar chop with an excellent sauce which came with elote. I had salmon and wild rice (rice subbed for farro risotto due to gluten allergy) which was fixed to perfection. We also shared Brussel sprouts with a maple glaze. E ended sharing the berry pavlova. We found easy street parking, but a public parking lot is a block away.

We came here for carry-out, although I would have LOVED to dine in. The ambiance, aesthetic and overall charm was out of this world! We ordered the half chicken entree and waygu burger. The fries are wedges and are simply delicious. The chicken was very well seasoned and came with mashed potatoes, gravy, and wild rice. Everything was so dang good!! Definitely coming back here next time we're in town!

The food overall was good: the pork wings were tender little nibbles of braised pork w/just Amt of crunch. Roasted Brussels sprouts with crispy pork belly also a plus. Crab salad in endive cups a little bland but the walleye in red curry, and the Wagyu burger were hits (get the green salad with burger as it was a little salty and the greens help cut that). But only three stars as here are Two tips to management- lose the high tops right up against the open kitchen counter (or save them for folks who want drinks) and do not offer them to customers when there are clearly other tables and booths open. It’s a rude welcome to your restaurant to be shown high top next to kitchen and stacked plates and bowls and by the swinging kitchen doors when one has a reservation. We were at least then seated at a table but then left with three menu folders in which two paper menus were missing. Service- when it came was a pleasant server - but don’t forget to focus on those first impressions. They’re make or break for some places.

I was mildly miffed when a table wasn't available in the lounge section when I had reserved one. But my ruffled feathers were quickly smoothed when someone whom I assume was a manager offered to buy both my wife and me cocktails. And very fine cocktails they were (Smoke & Mirrors for me, Pool Rules for my wife). I'd like to rattle off all the great dishes I've tried on the menu, but I can't seem to get past the Wagyu burger, one of the best burgers in town, and the equally delicious fries.

Great experience! Service was wonderful - he was very patient with us and gave great drink recommendations. The craft cocktails really do live up to the hype. The Lush Life was fruity and refreshing without being overly sweet! We got the seasonal bass and jerk chicken, which were both flavorful and cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend!

Elegant, yet comfortable and casual. This place has affordable food and drinks that are unique and delicious for both formal dates and casual outings. The lighting is pleasant and the music is very mellow so it’s perfect for parents bringing in sleeping babies!

Had great food and great service. The food choices range from hamburgers to Lobster mac'n cheese. I had the seared scallops and they were awesome, melted in my mouth. I highly suggest going to this great must eat at place. Will definatley be returning.

The truffle/caramel dessert was very sweet. Melted in my mouth. I had the shrimp linguine recipe and it was good, very tasty when I added the lemon juice. The ribs were a little sweet but flavorful and tender.

The five stars is based purely off their cocktails, as we did not have any food. However their food menu looked pretty solid and we were kind of disappointed we had just had dinner elsewhere. Nice cocktails, well balanced and reasonably priced. My favorite was the seasonal slushie with white wine, aloe and another interesting liquor I can't remember off the top of my head.

Great cocktails, good food and service in a chic but cozy venue. The drinks in particular were fantastic, the "Sunnyside" cocktail being a particular favorite. Food was good, but set your expectations at upscale, quality bar food, and not at haute cuisine. They seem to have put a decent amount of thought to creating menu items which would work with their drink selections, so all in all the dining experience was great. Would make for a good date spot! Our server was friendly and helpful. Price was a little on the high side, but not unreasonable given the quality of the fair. I would definitely go back again!

Amazing atmosphere, great wait staff, and even better food. We walked in thinking "burgers at the bar" because of a sandwich board ad on the sidewalk, but we ended up finding a pleasantly surprising trendy menu that could satisfy most anyone who walked in. We started with Tostones... house braised pork, pickled onions and fresh cilantro atop queso fresco and mole. Then we added fried cauliflower with herb aioli. Dinner was pan-seared halibut atop risotto with fresh peas and mushrooms. The halibut was perfect with a crusty outer layer and aoist flaky middle. The risotto was creamy and those peas just poppes in your mouth. We chose an added accompaniment of their fall salad comprising of radicchio, endive, shaved fennel, champagne poached pears, marcona almonds, gorgonzola, and a light champagne vinaigrette. It was the perfect balance of hearty, light, salty and sweet flavors. My tummy is sooo happy!

Absolutely amazing burgers. I've gone a few times and accidentally had to get something else - brunch when I got a great chicken and waffle, a Monday night where they had delicious ramen. On days they have burgers though, I'm not getting anything else. Staff is great too. Brandon comped us a free entree the last time we were there and gives great drink and food recs. Going to keep coming back and bringing new people with :)

This restaurant is one of my favorite places in Minneapolis. The cocktails are great, I recommend the old fashioned and the grumpy old men. The food is also fantastic. The crispy cauliflower is the best I've had. The waygu burger is one of the best in the Twin Cities. The king salmon was perfectly cooked when I had it. I've yet to have a bad experience here.

Wonderful space and great staff. Ordered half the menu and the Butternut Squash Lasagna was the standout. Hands down the best dining experience I've had in Minneapolis since the Coronapocalypse started. Prices aren't crazy high and there's a good selection of Cocktails. Sit by the kitchen if you can.

We had the most fantastic time at the sonder shaker. Our server (pink hair, I wish I remembered her name!) was polite, knowledgeable and absolutely fantastic. Seriously some of the best service I’ve had in minneapolis in quite some time. Our table has wine & old fashions, we were very pleased with size of pour and the quality of cocktail. Dinner was fantastic! Two of us had the waygu burgers and we could not stop talking about how it’s the best burger in town. The walleye was also a hit. My only advice is don’t get the eggplant lasagna as your main dish unless you plan on getting additional sides. It was delicious and prepared beautifully, just not enough for a main meal (it’s listed as a starter so don’t make our mistake and think otherwise.) Overall, I am thrilled with our meal and experience at The Sonder Shaker, check this spot out to discover one of your new favorite spots.

Stopped in to have a Passport drink on our way to a birthday (if you like cocktails don’t know about the MPLS Passport Program, look it up!). Really cool atmosphere, friendly service, and great cocktails. We’ll have to come back sometime to try the food (maybe that would put it at a 5 🤔). Try and get the sidewalk level window seating, great people watching.

Wow. Came here by accident for happy hour and was blown away by the quality of the drinks and food. Best old fashioned I've ever had. The animal fries are insane!!! The Waygu Burger is the best burger I've had in a while. Will be coming back for sure! (This goes out to Craig).

The food was great. I was told by the waiter that everything on the menu was shareable, which is true in theory, but the dishes weren't all made to be shared - some seemed like entrees while others were appetizers - just not labeled that way. My friend and I ordered three food items, and they were all great. The burger was perfectly greasy, and the quail was perfectly seasoned. Definitely would go again.

Love the ambiance and cocktails are always delicious. I usually go on a different night than the ramen and pho night. I was expecting the pho to taste like traditional pho, but it seems like they did a spin off. Would recommend more flavor in the broth and meatballs in the meat version.

Visited the Sonder Shaker last evening with a pal. The apps we had were delicious and the ambiance was very cool. Nice place, great service! Only 01 complaint, they carry no ‘lagers’ only ales? Seems easy to have a Stella or some form of ‘lager’ or even a pilsner in stock…needs to improve. Otherwise excellent experience.

There is a Chef. Her name is Bridgett. She prepared my Squash Lasagna. It was spectacular! Our server was a young man named Devin. Meticulous in his attention to our needs both stated and unbeknownst to us. We've eaten there several times now. Each time they knock it out of the park. My dining partner stated that the Wild Rice Soup was the best he had ever had. Folks, you need to get to the Sonder.

It was my first time here a few nights ago with a friend, and I had been hearing about the great cocktails here. Sonder Shaker did not disappoint! Great beer and mixed drinks no matter what you’re into. Hannah was our server and was FANTASTIC- very attentive, compassionate, and made recommendations from the menu. I definitely consider myself a food connoisseur and oh my gosh, I just found my new favorite restaurant in Minnesota! I went on my birthday with about 20 people a couple weeks ago and we tried almost everything on the menu and I had some of the best tasting food that I can remember. Their appetizers are absolutely amazing, the brussel sprouts are simply to die for, the fried cauliflower is phenomenal, there white asparagus is delicious, and the mussels were out of this world. Literally the best brussel sprouts I've ever had and are almost like candy with their maple glaze infused and tasty pork belly incorporated and the mussels might have been the best tasting mussels I've ever ate and the broth they were served in was absolutely amazing and I even have family on the east coast. Lastly, their wagyu burger is definitely one of the tastiest and most flavorful burger I've ever ate. Also they have a very unique and eclectic drink menu. The staff and service was also superb. After going there for my birthday a couple weeks ago, I've already been back 3 times. Love this place and I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone that loves food like me! Thanks Sonder Shaker for becoming my new favorite restaurant!

This restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere, some of the best food and cocktails in the city and some lovely culinary presentation. The food we ordered were mussels, fried cauliflower, ahi tuna sandwich, grilled quail, and the into the wild ( chocolate mousse). All of these dishes had the most amazing flavor profiles. The cauliflower was light yet fried and the aioli was so well balanced and subtle. The mussels were the most uniquely flavorful dish I have had in a very long time, a perfectly played together dish. The quail and ahi tuna were so perfectly cooked I was in awe, bread perfectly toasted, not too crisp not too light, the quail was charred to perfection that matched the wild rice it was presented with. The mousse was a perfect ending - both light, but interestingly flavored with the basil & mint sugar dust and a surprise of gummy worms at the bottom. TL;DR: This is our new favorite restaurant and will definitely be recommending to all.

Solid cocktails and a fun atmosphere. Bartenders are super friendly and easy to chat with. The burger is hands down the best - super juicy and great flavor. This may be controversial but preferred over the Parlour burger which I find just a little too salty.

This is our favorite cocktail restaurant! We stumbled upon it on our first anniversary a few months after it opened and it's become our place for both special occasions as well as just random date nights. We love sitting at the bar and watching the bartenders work their craft on our drinks, and they're the perfect friendliest bartenders as well! Watching and talking with them has upped our cocktail game at home as well, it's always an experience here. It's the perfect amount of noise level to feel like you're in a vibrant place where you can still hear each other The food is also always delicious! We really can't say enough great things about this place!

Great ambiance, professional and attentive staff, and then there's the food and drinks .... our group shared four different apps, did the burgers and tried basically every craft cocktail they were offering. Everything was amazing. The different palllet takes and the sheer expertise going into their signature drinks are nothing short of stunning. Order anything from their options with confidence, you're going to have an amazing drink dropped in front of you regardless of your choice. The appetizers were all more decadent than the one that came before. Duck poutine for the win people! Our only regret is not being able to run the whole menu ... Lastly, that burger. From guys who take some pride in knowing the burger scene in MPLS, this thing is top two available in the metro, period. Parlour, Vincent and Animales are in there, up to my experience today tells me they have a new bar to meet. Plan ahead and reserve the chef's table next to the open kitchen. Chat with your chefs, get a great look at all the all the things you didnt order, and basically have a ringside seat to watching the magic of this kitchen happen.

They really know how to make great drinks, new and exciting options on the menu and very familiar with the classic cocktails as well. I ordered 'the last word' and it was one of the best versions I've had. The food is fun, tasty and very sharable. We ordered the bacon jelly crostini, deconstructed elotes, fried chicken sandwich and the burrito bowl. Craving to go back. Also, met the owner and found out his family's history with a Wisconsin super club, they know what they're doing. They also make a great Irish coffee, NE is lucky to have this new gem!

Unfortunately this location still only rates 3 stars because of how long it took. One of our party was seated for 10 minutes before getting any service. Our waitress was very polite and helpful explaining the menu, as we have some dietary restrictions. It would have also been helpful had she explained not only what was on the burger but what was in it. On delivering our meal, she mentioned there was ground bacon in it, and it had some spices in it as well. Good thing we eat pork. Their window advertised an "American Kitchen", which we took as more basic foods. All their dishes seemed to nclude extra ingredients to enhance flavors and make them unique, which is great if that's what you're looking for. Unfortunately, we weren't. We were just hungry and not looking to experiment. We will probably not return.

I had been to Sonders for brunch, but tried happy hour and dinner. I highly recommend the Goonie drink and the FBI! Great HH cocktail prices, plus full HH menu if smaller portion items. Must order the crispy ribs. And cannot miss with the Sonder burger. Fries are reminiscent of McDonalds, only better. And if you just want a beer or wine, plenty of choices. And if your lucky to have Cassidy as your barkeep, ask him about his place. His passion for his establishment and what it offers is infectious! I will be back!

8 out of 9 happy hour food options include meat. I get they are going for a throwback vibe but lack of vegetarian options is something we should keep in the past. Even the brussels sprouts have pork in them. Good drinks and vibe otherwise. Fries were wildly disappointing. So pale and undercooked. Sent them back and no better. Weird thing to not have down. Not seasoned either.

The food did not stand out, it did not have much flavor and we did not like it very much. (Original) Restaurante bonito, con fácil aparcamiento.
