The burgers are fantastic and a little greesy. The fries seemed hand cut they were very good. We also loved the root beer float the ice cream was the best. Pretty good service but forgot our wings so we canceled them. There's an extra charge for credit card use. Cash is better for them but the prices are very reasonable. All in all I would definitely recommend

Not a bad price. You get good sized juicy Lucy for the price here. We came in around 7:00pm and there was another table of 4 in the whole place. If you want a spots bar atmosphere go next door.

We came into town from Milwaukee for the Mall of America and a family gathering. We came here based on the Google reviews and it did not disappoint. I had a Black Maria, Juicy Lucy style burger, wife and daughter both had cheese burgers. They were awesome as well as the hand cut fries. I had cole slaw and it was also hand made and super tasty and fresh. Overall a great meal.

We let our kids pick the restaurant and they wanted to go to the Patty Wagon. The service was great and they had a good beer selection on tap. I got their signature burger that comes with pulled pork on top, it was really good. The fries were clearly from fresh potatoes (not frozen) and they were seasoned perfectly. Our kids loved the milk shakes. We will be going back, especially because the owner supports Washburn sports.

I love coming in for breakfast. BIG portions and decently priced. If you're hungry (or thirsty) before 11am this is a spot to hit. Lunch is mostly burgers and some chicken sandwiches, which are also really good. No complaints, just good times here

This place is amazing. No frills, no fluff. Old school American food at an old school price. Type of place you can get a solid meal every single time. Jamie was our server, and deserves a promotion! She was excellent.

Neat little place to stop for a quick snack. We had nachos and onion rings. Both were good. Maybe a little bit lighter with the refried beans. And put the nacho stuff one chips under all of the stuff. Onion rings were top notch!

This is a real gem of a place!!! Service is great and food is great. Reasonable prices for a good burger. Beats like red cow for burgers prices for sure. First time I had the V8 special and second time I had the Gobbler. My husband has the four alarm. My favorite so far is the V8. The sweet potato tots are AMAZING. Its $2 extra but absolutely worth it! My husband had the waffle fries with sour cream sauce that was so good! Don’t accept discover credit cards. Need a reservation for groups of 5 or more. On Sundays we notice kids eat for free! Smaller beer selection but still great choices. Tables are spaced out to be covid friendly

Recently voted, “Best Burger in Minneapolis”! There is a good reason for that. Unstoppable, I just enjoyably swallow the last bite of their superb Speed Limit Breaker, seven amazing flavors of fabulous all blended to perfection just tantalized my taste buds so much I stuffed myself with the generous portion of greatness! Then, I recommend substituting the french fries for their very amazing sweet potato tater tots. The service was top notch with excellent attention to their guests. I highly recommend going there when in town!

I am HIGHLY RECOMMENDING The Patty Wagon for a local burger & bites eatery here in the Twin Cities! Just happened to be located 0.4 miles from our groomer, D was hungry, and I was BLOWN AWAY! 🤯 Unfortunately, due to #civilunrest they still had very few patrons.... SO UNFORTUNATE because the food was INCREDIBLE 🍔 our server Maria was amazing 💁‍♀️and the MOD Jeff made it a point to stop by to ensure we had a great experience. 🤗 Richfield was majorly affected and they are still feeling the impact. So...please call...grab a burger, a shake, a hotdog, or better yet,, ENJOY the dining room cause ALL 3 were amazeballs and the Patty Wagon deserves a high five from our local community in the very least! 🥰 Soooooo Goooood! 💯

I had the Hellion and fries last November and today the Nutty Wagon with tater tots. Today I came with 3 others, and it took about 35 minutes for the food to come out, in November it was about 20 minutes for the 4 of us to get food. The tater tots are great, the fries are just okay. Kinda soggy, not much flavor unfortunately. The nutty wagon has maybe a tablespoon of peanut butter inside so that was quite disappointing, add more pb guys! Also, my friends food was burnt. He ordered a medium burger and it was charred, along with the bun. They took it back and it was removed from the bill. They asked if he wanted a new burger, but after waiting 35 minutes for the food, we didn't want to wait another half hour I'll probably be back, hoping for better

Nikki is always welcoming and super funny. Aye there twice on vacation (breakfast and dinner) and food was great both times. Beer is cheap and food is priced just right.

Found this spot while I was out thrifting across the street at Goodwill. I was looking for a burger place, so just so happened I lucked out. Their menu is filled with a good selection of different type of specialty and stuffed burgers. I opted for the suggestion of the server for the Bacon Cheddar Stuffed prepared medium. They happened to be out of tots due to a large table that came in the night before, so I got the fries instead with a side of ranch. The burger was pretty decent. It is a huge patty. Flavor was solid, but not out of the park. The bun was above average. The fries could have been a bit more crispy. The ranch was excellent. I’m curious if they would add on a vegetarian or vegan burger option, it’s noticeably absent from the menu.

The food and drinks are tasty, but not mind blowing good. They do have a good selection of American foods, and I think the atmosphere is a lot cleaner than many south Minneapolis burger places. The food quality for price is a good combo, and I like it as a week night dinner spot.

Voted best burger in Minneapolis and after trying it today I can taste why! Great burgers, fries cut fresh in house, and their coleslaw is wonderful! Very friendly, fast, and courteous service. Very family friendly environment! You have try their "Hellion Burger" spiced to perfection!

Amazing food, attentive and accommodating staff. Waitstaff from the restaurant next door came over to help (I was with a large group, and no one thought to make reservations), and made sure everyone had drinks in a reasonable amount of time. Parking is free, there's wifi, and the outside of the bathrooms are whimsical (see pics). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Minneapolis, and will definitely be back when I'm back.

The food was excellent all the burgers were really good and cooked perfectly. We tried the onion strings and mozzarella sticks both were really good even though some didn't like the marinara sauce I thought it was really good. A little thin but very flavorful and it tastes fresh like it was homemade (wish they had a pasta dish for it) gave them a 4 because of location. No parking and they're in the same building with another business that is a sports bar. We almost went to the wrong place next door.

Went here for lunch with a good friend. The menu has a lot of burgers, but also salad, deep fried cod, chicken and appetizers. They have stuffed burgers too if you want a juicy lucy. I had the Patty Wagon with waffle fries and my buddy had the Hellion. Both very good. Our server Dominique was terrific. Good food, good service. Price is right.

Overall, we were SO impressed with the quality of food! The burgers were juicy and perfectly cooked, the fries were crispy (the waffle fries were even better) and the cheese curds with some ice cold beer was a perfect way to start a meal! Highly recommend!

Apparently this place has been around longer than I thought! It was easy to locate from Nicolette and there is a parking lot that should accommodate most people. This place is wheel chair accessible and has suitable tables too. Sitting at the bar, we could not easily view any TVs. In order to watch a game comfortably, you would need to get a table. The menu had a variety of burgers and sandwiches. Nothing extraordinary or notable, but a good variety for people with different taste preferences (unless you're vegan, then you may want to find another place). I had a bacon cheeseburger and tots and my buddy had one of the stuffed burgers. Mine appeared to be a frozen patty that was thawed out on the grill. The stuffed burger appeared fresh and was definitely the better choice! All said, this place delivers good service in a nice atmosphere, but lacks in any exciting meal options.

This is a great diner in the south Minneapolis area with all the staples including a great milkshake. Kids even eat free on Sundays! The service is reliably personable and friendly as well.

It was super awesome for the kids to see Santa Sid again as he's been our Santa since 2013 at MOA. For breakfast stick with the waffles and bacon, don't order the biscuits w/ gravy, it's not traditional white gravy and quite unappealing.

Great burger especially for the price! I got the speed limit breaker with sweet potato tots. Very yummy- would order again! Ordered takeout and was impressed by the speed (only took 15 mins from time of phone call!) and the kindness of the hostess who helped me. Although, I wasn’t blown away by the atmosphere of the interior, it smelled like a pool (chlorine) when I walked in? Maybe they just sanitized 🤷‍♀️ But it’s also a bummer they don’t have a patio for summer dining!

Possibly the Best burger I have had. Had the "patty wagon" burger. Went at lunch time and the server was great and quick and polite. Nice looking place too! I will be coming back for sure. Very reasonable priced check. Oh and the shakes are awesome too!

Decided to stop by on a whim and was thoroughly impressed! The food was absolutely banging, got the cheese curds and the patty melt. They seemed quite busy, so there was a bit of a wait for food but the waitress stopped by several times to make sure we were still doing ok. Definitely going to be making a return trip!

Amazing burgers oh my God!! I never though a place hidden like that was so good. The waitress , the blonde lady was stellar she was funny and we enjoyed her company. Even though we showed up 30 min before closing the service was exceptional. This will become our go to spot after our soccer games

My family in and I came in here not realizing what time they closed. They closed at 9 and we got here at 8pm. I HATE being one of those customers that comes in after the kitchen has been cleaned and ready for closing. The service was impeccable. We felt welcomed and not like a burden. All 4 of us ordered burgers and they were absolutely delicious! Fries as well! Cooked to perfection. Get the Baja Burger, trust me. Our waitress was so friendly, and gave us wonderful service. Luckily, I live less than a mile away so it’s safe to say I will be coming back! Your establishment should be very proud.

However, when it comes to The Patty Wagon, gosh I tell ya, if you're picking "Patty WagOFF," well brother, you've come to the wrong Patty Wagon restaurant. Because the Patty Wagon doesn't quit. I'm serious as I type these things: I truly had a marvelous time at The Patty Wagon. Allow me to provide you with a concise, one-word review of their one-of-a-kind stuffed burgers that are only available at The Patty Wagon: Succulent There's literally nothing better than when you eat at The Patty Wagon. It's a vibe. Priced right. You could say it's a priced-right vibe. I wouldn't, but you could. Just kidding I totally would lol. And I just did. The decor is a little off and the lights were a little too dim. Listen:I love it here

We were looking for a quick lunch on our way home after a weekend in the Twin Cities. I am so glad I found this place. The food was excellent - the burgers were perfect, and they have some of the best wings I've ever had in a restaurant - so good. Our server was phenomenal (my glass never fully emptied and she never made us feel rushed). The decor is a lot of fun and they play amazing music. This will definitely become a must-stop anytime we're in the area!!

They recently started serving breakfast and everything we had was great. Fresh berries for the pancakes and French toast, Belgian waffle, and the biscuits and gravy were hearty and flavorful. Definitely a nice breakfast option for everyone.

BEST burger I've ever tasted! And one thing I pride on is a place that is welcoming for all. Did a order to go a while back and think this is a great family place to enjoy each others company. Or, even just for lunch or dinner with friends or even just by yourself when you have a taste for a good burger.

Looking for delicious, charbroiled burgers and seasoned, crispy hand cut fries?! Patty Wagon is the place to go! The Juicy Lucy is meaty with oozy, gooey cheese as no ketchup or mustard is needed. A suggestion on a little more salt & pepper on the burger patty. I ordered a burger with everything which was good and the pickle cuts through the richness of the burger. I should of asked for more pickles or a cole slaw that's vinegar based vs mayo based. Too much fat can leave your stomach feeling heavy. Overall, we will go back!

We love visiting here for a refreshing burger stop. They of course have the classic but there are also fun and excited burgers to try including multiple stuffed burgers. One of our favorites is the Nutty Wagon which has peanut butter stuffed in the burger patty and banana and bacon for topics, talk about delicious! They also have an incredible root beer on tap which such an extra special treat. We recently learned they serve cheesecake as a dessert option and will have to include that in our next order. The staff is always friendly and the venue is clean, they have a fun chalk board sign, pictures on the walls and TV's playing so it's a very comfortable and relaxed place to visit for a meal.

This place was awesome! Great Music! (Way better than the place next door to them) The waitress was wonderful and made some *top notch Long Islands. We showed up within an hour of closing but she insisted (and really made us feel) like there was no rush to finish our food/drinks. The decor is fun and I really enjoyed the celebrity mug shots on the walk to the rest room 😂

The food was pretty good. The beer came in a chilled glass and the environment is nice. There was a gentleman who kept coming up to tables and talking to folks, but not exactly in an enjoyable way. We might try another time, but between that and how empty the place was, I wonder if it's correlated.

This is a great place. It's not exactly a five star restaurant but I think this place has some of the best value for flavor. The fries are really good which definitely matters in my book, cheese curds are worth the price. You could spend more money for a better burger, but the ones here are great. The 5-8 club isn't bad but I think it's overrated, the patty wagon is doing something right. The staff are super friendly coming from a regular. A lot of people mention that the patty wagon is usually empty, I don't care. The tailgate nextdoor seems to get more traffic since it's just a sports bar that shares the same kitchen and great food. I like the one on one service and quiet atmosphere next door. My favorite burgers are the Bacon Bleu and the Hellion. Both really hit the spot.

We stumbled on this place while running an errand in the neighborhood. The food is excellent; many burger and side choices ( onion rings, tots, waffle fries, etc). I had the grilled cheese, which was amazing. Also loved the seasoned sour cream option. Added bonus: the service was excellent. Two people aside from our server came to check on us.

When walking in, we noticed right away, the place was empty. After seeing good reviews online we weren’t sure why that was. We all placed our orders (mainly burgers) and the wait wasn’t too bad. When our food came, literally everyone got the wrong burger.. some of the issue was wrong side item right burger. Mine however, was right side item wrong burger. It was a little frustrating because then you needed to wait even longer for them to fix it. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable and even the server was nice, which helped!

Meh, we are from out of town and this had good reviews.... was not seasoned well at all, pulled pork on the burgers was bland and the drinks tasted like sanitizer liquid..? Like they cleaned their nozzles and didnt rinse them out? Idk, was disgusting. Their bbq sauce isnt that great tasting... but their ranch is bomb and their onion rings were amazing. Made a good instagram post but wish the flavors of the burger and drinks were better.

Pros - Good food. We had burgers and fries. - Kid's servings were ridiculously large. - Good service. Glasses were full and our server checked on us regularly - Monday lunch crowd was slow but "chill" comes to mind. - Fair prices Cons - Buns were soggy. Grille and use fat-based spread to repel moisture. Mayo or butter or something. - Fries were hot but not crisp. I'd recommend to folks with kids but not a place I'd go for a date night as a mid-30s person.

The place did not live up to the height for me, frozen pre formed patties that were somewhat tasteless is not the best Burger in South Minneapolis. We started out with somebody rings that unfortunately were so oil soaked they were not edible. The tater tots that accompanied the burgers were really good, Crispy outside and cooked perfectly both the regular am a sweet potato. The staff was extremely friendly and started out being amazing service But by the time it was time to go service kind of ended. This is definitely not meant to be a slam but A hope of inspiring this place to start its own original flavor. The buns and the Sides were really good Let the Burger at South was mediocre at best.

Family friendly. Burgers were spectacular should have been rated #1in the cities. Crispy edges with great flavor. Service was very friendly and attentive. Inviting ambiance not like the open echo halls of some of the "trendy" burger places popping up. Decor was very nice. If you have never been here it's worth the drive!!

The restaurant is almost never completely filled especially on sports nights as the traffic goes to Tailgates. That’s not a bad thing however. The wait staff is very polite and attentive, the overall cleanliness is decent but the restrooms are a little tacky. The food is a total bargain. You get a great burger on a bed of fries for a decent price. I definitely recommend patty wagon if you’re in the area.

I stopped here for lunch on my way to the airport. I had eaten the Juicy Lucy previously so the bar was set pretty high. The place was empty since it was pretty early, and I ended up ordering a Speed Limit Breaker. This burger was AMAZING. It was juicy and cooked to perfection. The onion ring was giant and delicious. The cole slaw that came on the side was great too. All I can say is that this burger is worth the stop. Don't miss it!

The Party Wagon was a good place to be tonight. The burger we had were pretty good. Mind was a smidge over cooked for the medium that I requested, but still good. It was in the juicy Lucy style and had a good amount of cheese. They have excellent French fries and waffle fries. The tap beer is available in a frosted mug which is always a plus. Great burgers and a nice quiet atmosphere.

Brought the family here, and we loved it! My wife and daughter shared a cheeseburger and waffle fries, with the seasoned sour cream, both great. My other daughter had the mushroom Swiss burger with sweet potato tots, and both were fantastic. I had the stuffed jalapeno burger, which was amazing! We also had the cheese curds, which came with ranch and were also great!

I was craving a burger and swung by for a bite. I had the bacon and cheese stuffed burger and it didn't really have much flavor, it all tasted the same and didn't really have much going for it. I think putting some seasoning on the burger would give it some much needed flavor. The cheese curds and waffle fries were delicious though, along with the ranch sauce which tasted home made. Service was great, very quick to fill our drinks and take care of us.

Excellent burger, cooked perfectly to temperature. I had the burger topped with pulled pork which was tender and finely shredded with a pleasant mild bbq sauce. I upgraded to the waffle fries with seasoned sour cream which adds a few bucks but it was well worth the price as the waffle fries were awesome and the seasoned sour cream was well seasoned and tasty unlike many of the other places I've been to.

I had the burger stuffed with peanut butter and topped with sliced banana. Overall it was a good, big burger but the patty could have used a flavorful seasoning and I felt this burger should have had more sweetness to it seeing as it is a PB burger. The nachos were serviceable but lacked any kind of spicy kick. A satisfactory neighborhood burger place. If you're local it is a good place to go but I would not say its a place to go out of your way to if you come from a different part of town, which is the hallmark of a great restaurant.

My only issue is the service was SO SLOW! The food took a long time to come out. There were open tables so it wasnt even totally full. Then started waiting for our check. My hubby left to get the car as he was tired of waiting. I had to flag down someone else to get our check. They double charged us and dont accept amex. They corrected the bill.

Satisfaction guaranteed. My husband and one year old have visited the new south Minneapolis burger establishment 3 times and twice for take out. Never has failed us once. Burgers are delicious while also comes a very appealing price. Even the take out is spectacular after a short car ride to our home. My Dad recently visited and we did Patty Wagon for take out. Quote "Easily in my top 5 burgers of all time", says my Dad. He asked for medium on his Speed Limit Breaker burger, and medium is what he got! Not only perfectly cooked, but a well constructed flavorful burger. We also got the wings, which were excellent. The buns used with the burger are fantastic as well. Not sure if they are locally sourced buns, but the burger to bun ratio is spot on. Service is quick, friendly, and you feel at home. Try the Patty Wagon today - it is the secret gem in South Minneapolis.

Went around 5pm on a Sunday. A group of 3 adults and 4 kids. We went because all day Sunday kids eat free with an adult purchase. The restaurant was mostly empty, so we were quickly seated. It slowly started to fill up by 530. Service is quick and courteous. No one went longer than a minute on an empty drink. Food was fresh. Fries were house cut and homemade. They reminded me of Annie's Parlour or Five Guys. The Cheddar Bacon burger was thick and juicy. It was stuffed with Cheddar and bacon, topped with caramelized onions. A nice butter toasted bun. It does share a parking lot with Tailgate, which most of the parking is filled with cars going for that establishment. Would recommend for a good burger and to bring families. The only downside could possibly be is parking. But you can park at the abandoned tire shop next door.

They have a burger stuffed with peanut butter and topped with banana, bacon and cheese. That SHOULDN'T be good....but its the best frickin burger I've ever had. Sweet potato tots are the bomb, their malts are delicious, and regular and waffle fries are crispy and perfect. Plus the service and prices are outstanding. We love eating here!

Most of our party had burgers, which were well received. I had to get the namesake Patty Wagon burger which was great. Fresh cut fries were perfect, but I was jealous of the SWEET POTATO TATER TOTS. If you go, you have to try them. Everything paired great with the local craft beer selection.

I've eaten here around 4-5 times in the past year and always enjoyed the food. Elsworth cheese curds, decent selection of burgers, but they also have chicken sandwiches and other food for those strange people that go to a burger place and don't want a burger. The Four Alarm was spicier than the Hellion, and the Porky Wagon is my favorite menu item to date. Each time I've been here I was surprised at the lack of people inside. Service was average, food was delicious.

It's true when they say don't judge a book by its cover. I went there yesterday to simply ease my craving for a burger, and I was a bit iffie at first due to how empty the restaurant was. It gave an older feel, which was nice. I ordered the cheddar and bacon stuffed burger. The waiter was nice, he was quite attentive and when another family came in we all had a casual little conversation. The burger was very hearty sized, and it really did take like a freshly made burger! The bacon inside looked and tasted like the real deal, not the cheap stuff Mc Donalds or Sonic have on theirs. I would go back, and honestly I sit here at 6am craving it again...

I ate there this weekend because it was close and I wan't all that optimistic (probably because the place used to be Cintia's, which wasn't great). However, we really enjoyed this restaurant. I had a buffalo chicken salad and it was really fresh, like the had just cut all the veggies and the chicken was really nice, just grilled. My husband had a wonderful burger, it had bacon and a spicy sauce and an onion ring and it was delish. The fries are really good too. The service was very good. We will definitely be back, thanks for the great meal! Kids eat free on Sundays too!

If you want burger, you can't go wrong at Patty Wagon or the adjacent bar. The jucy lucy with pulled pork... mmmm. And the Nutty Wagon is a great change of pace.
