Reviews of The News Room
AMY MUNNS
Great service & atmosphere but foods were so so. None of my families food were great like we wished.
The bartender and server were great. Everything was fast. I just wish foods were better.
The interior design of this place was amazing. Very interesting & enjoyable. Since we went for a lunch, I care the taste and qualify of food the most. Too bad, I spent close to $70 (including tip) for 3 of us for which we didn't care so much.

I wish I could give this place 5 🌟 across the board, we were in Thanksgiving night prior to the vikings game, which might have been the issue. We had a party of 11, but had some of the worst service I've ever had. I dislike bagging on wait staff as I've done, as has my wife, but I felt I was playing hide and go seek with the server. Once we got past the "flag her down" phase to the "do you think she was just doing our drinks?" I finally started asking other staff to help the table of people I organized to attend the venue. Which is fairly embarrassing.
Now that that's done with.
The food quality for price point is freaking great! The steak I had was second to only one other place in Minneapolis and that's saying something. The Brie cheese curds were a big hit. The BBQ chicken flat bread was fabulous, and everyone who had the Thanksgiving preset meal loved it. Especially the pumpkin cheesecake.

Delicious food and fun atmosphere. Two friends and I went last night and couldn’t decide what to order so we split three dishes. The Fish & Chips, the pulled pork tacos and the tortellini. The batter on the fish and chips melted in my mouth. The flavor of the sauce on the tortellini was amazingly tasty. Will definitely be back!

A very unique restaurant/bar! This restaurant has multiple rooms and bars. It's has a huge sports bar. They have very good quality food at a good price. The hamburgers, pastas and Salmon are amazing. The decor is amazing! Staff and bartenders are great. Only complaint is they close early!
Born Awsumb
Worth checking out for the ambiance alone.
The patio views and fun feel of the inside are 5 star for this area, but I wasn't as impressed by the Salmon, and overall plating of dishes, or service.
(Sadly, I didn't get a chance to try any Bar drinks because I was driving)

Another place I’d give more than five stars if I could. Great food and wonderful atmosphere. Bar area is really cool. Entrees range from $15 to $30. Good local beers as well. Try the castle danger cream ale.

Pretty good restaurant in the heart of Minneapolis. The theme itself is worth visiting, they really take the whole newspaper idea and run with it. We started off with some drinks and the margarita flatbread, very good flatbread I must say, the cheese was delicious! The jambalaya pasta was also very delicious. Sometimes I can find jambalaya a tad salty but this one was just right. In my opinion it can be a little pricey but the food quality is there and service is good too.

Got to restaurant 45 minutes before closing. Restaurant was very busy but we were seated quickly. Staff & service were friendly. Food was delicious. Ordered brie cheese curds, filets & fish & chips. Everything was hot & cooked to perfection. Loved the ship bar.

This is restaurant/bar has a very cool atmosphere and the service was fairly quick. I had the Chicken ‘N Waffles. It was good with potato chives waffle, fried chicken breast with Buffalo sauce. It was ok but was lacking some flavor. I prefer my chicken and waffles sweet and savory.
Amanda Seutter
Love the roasted cauliflower and the chimmichuri steak salad. Both are super fresh and healthy tasting. I'm very happy with the service that Molly provided last Friday night. I loved their Butternut Squash Soup. Wish they'd bring it back. It was incredible.
Izzy
I had the gnocchi with steak as a recommendation from the staff. This was actually my first time trying gnocchi, the seasoning of the sauce was delicious - creamy mushroom, onion and spinach. The gnocchi itself was a little salty and very soft… is it meant to be that soft? Lol idk but i wasn’t a fan of the texture. My friend had the lasagna and finished the whole thing!
Cory D. D. Miller
We had an AMAZING time at The News Room. We were trying to post up for the Villanova/Michigan game and they were a bit packed but the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great spot in front of a tv with our game.
The food was awesome as well. I went ahead and built my own burger, but the menu is so eclectic that if you can’t find something on it you are crazy.
Overall, this may be a new staple for me and my travels to MN.
Lizbeth de Padua
Great place for relaxed indoor or outdoor dining. Extensive drinks menu. We had several appetizers: chicken wings, cauliflower bake, mozzarella flatbread all excellent. Carne asada was delicious. Staff were attentive and friendly. We'll be sure to return!
Love the newspaper "wallpaper" with both historic and made-up headlines! 😂👍🏼
Lyndsay Bruns
Such a cool spot! And the menu was jam packed with soo many awesome choices, it was hard to choose! The potatoes are absolutely delicious!! We loved that there were menu choices for kids but it would be nice to see an actual physical menu...rattling it off for an indecisive child was not ideal. But overall great service!
Kari Dorsher
Great food and unusual but beautiful decor! Started with Monte Cristo Croquettes - very creamy and delicious. The bacon and fried rice had the most wonderful smoky flavor, while the gnocchi was pillowy soft, smooth and rich. We will be back!
Hannah Weiland
Went there for lunch and it was great! Fun atmosphere, good food, and fast service. The only reason why I took off a star was our server. It seemed like he was grumpy, but he might’ve been having a bad day. I also do not recommend sitting at the table inside next to the automatic door leading to the outdoor seating. I kept getting gusts of wind that would blow everything away 😂
Gabe Emerson
Great food and a fantastic sailing ship bar! I have no idea how the ship fits into their newspaper theme, but it's outstanding! Bartenders literally climb the rigging for top sail (top shelf) bottles. They have a large variety of on-tap beer as well. We had a selection of appetizers right before a show and the service was very quick despite them being busy. The apps were unique and quite tasty! We want to come back and try everything else on the menu, it all sounds very enticing. Prices are a little high, but seem par for downtown, and the food is definitely worth it.
I would have given this place 5 stars except for the extremely confusing restrooms. They're very hidden and sort of blend together in a hallway, plus the signs are quite small and high up in a dark area so you can't see them. I walked into the ladies room by accident and then several women walked into the men's room while I was there. That's not a huge deal these days but can be disconcerting if you're not expecting it.
Michael Ullmer
Amazing place! You could spend hours walking through the rooms just looking at the newspaper headlines and stories. The food was also phenomenal absolutely a place to eat if you are in downtown Minneapolis.
Ishmam Ahmed
This place is like if Rainforest Café were newspaper themed instead of rainforest themed. The atmosphere and decor really stand out from other restaurants in the area. As you dine on the American fare, you’ll see historic articles all around you and a large scale model of a sailing ship that functions as a bar. The food and cocktails were great. I highly recommend the Bangali to drink, brussel sprouts, and root beer cookies for dessert. Everything was on point except that our server seemed to have forgotten about us toward the end of our meal as we were trying to pay and leave. Nonetheless, this place was unique, memorable, and a great place to get dinner with a group of friends downtown.
Marty Seutter
The lasagna was probably the best I've ever had! Cool atmosphere and friendly staff! Second time we've been here and will be back again!
akilah
The place is so cool! I can’t lie though, the lasagna made me sad.. idk if it’s like a deconstructed lasagna but I had nothing but meat sauce and no pasta :( We did try the buffalo wings and fries, those were yummy.
Thomas De Schuyter
Best place in town for food and drinks. Super food, nice varied menu, great beer and cocktail menu. Incredible staff. Came back 3x in 2 weeks.
Ronald Greene
Great atmosphere! The walleye Fish & Chips were outstanding. Friendly wait staff. Nice selection of wine, beer, and cocktails.
emily luvsunicorns
Went here for a date night while in the city visiting. The food was pretty good! My boyfriend got the jambalaya & enjoyed it very much, along with a drink that he said wasn't skimping on the alcohol. I got a salad without the chicken & it was quite large and tasted great too! This place is more of a bar/drinking oriented establishment in my opinion. They did not have bathrooms available for public use, but it says that right on the door upon entering so it's no surprise. Server was very nice & helpful.
Loretta Leone-OMalley
Clean, comfortable and interesting interior. The tables display typeset letters and boxes with a little history behind the print industry. This is also found hung on the walls.
Two of us enjoyed an awesome Reuben. The ice tea was refreshing.
Highly recommend this restaurant for a great lunch with a friend.
Kevin Scott
Very cool ambience the wait staff was exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious. My only complaint was the lasagna was ice cold in the center however the taste was really good and the chicken vegetable soup was to die for.
Michael Orr (UglyBassMike)
Super busy, hard to get a seat and you get turned away at times. Good food, neat stuff to look at, outside dinning.
Tonya Coleman
Both dishes could take some more seasoning a little bland. I added some salt and pepper Brussel Sprouts are tasty 😋
Didn’t get the food tax 🤔
Jonathan Flores
Went out for a dinner prior to a show at the Armory and landed on checking out The News Room. We made a reservation online and were seated quickly once arriving at the restaurant. We were placed in what the host said was he favorite seat in the restaurant, which was a booth in the back that faced towards the restaurant that provided a quieter feel. The booth cushions were quite dirty as the material seem to have things stick to it. We were able to wipe off where we were sitting so it wasn't a huge deal.
We started with the brie curds which were served with a delicious blueberry ketchup. The tempera breading on the brie lacked flavor but the blueberry ketchup help provide a little something extra.
We split the balsamic sandwich and the fish and chips. The balsamic sandwich was delicious but the fish and chips was lacking. It was mostly breading that was overly greasy. The menu listing said it was served with cajun potato wedges which sparked our interest, but when dropped off we received just fries. When our server came back by, she seemed confused by the fact that the menu said cajun wedges and after asking the kitchen, found out that they were actually out of them. Her response to us after saying that was our main reason for ordering was "yeah it sucks, but thank you for understanding" and walked away.
I was a little taken back by her response but she was pretty swamped with a lot of tables so took it as just being overwhelmed.
Overall the atmosphere was nice and most of the food was tasty but probably not enough for us to return for a second visit.

9/2021: back for dinner w/the GF.
I had the jambalaya and that was good, Brussels sprouts were really good as well! We sat outside and service was really good as well.
8/2019: Me and my work crew ate here, we sat outside and our server (Krystle) was really good! Great beer selection, good bread basket too. I had the pasta with salmon, it was good but the portion was kinda small. Others ordered different pasta dishes and had larger portions. I'd certainly return to try other dishes. Friendly staff and a cool place inside as well. Thanks-
mrs martin
I Googled this spot while staying at the Marquette hotel and walked there for dinner. It was the perfect night for a patio meal and I was having a solo Mom's night away. I was really looking for a good meal and experience.
Right from the start the staff was attentive and personable. I had never been, clearly, and I wanted the experience so I was that lady. The "what do you recommend?" Lady. My server Dan took the question without pause and spitfired follow up questions to hone it in.
Honestly, I think Dan was really understanding the vibe I was going for and suggested an incredible cocktail that I can't remember the name of, but was gin based.
The entree Dan recommend was a watermelon marinated salad with salmon atop. Soooo good. The salmon, which I'm a stickler for was cooked perfectly. The salad had more pepper than expected but that was okay by me. If I could give one note to the chefs working last Saturday night, it's take the time to crumble that feta around the plate. It's a while different salad for the guest when you have to break the cheese apart and incorporate it.
I'd go back again. In fact I will, and I'll probably ask for Dan.
Stacy Okhman
Absolutely OK. Got the tortellini and chicken panini but the chicken in the panini was very thick and bland. Also had the Greek salad which was okay but the lettuce wasn't very fresh and had that reddish orange tint on the edges.
Chris Roy
Was thankful this place was open on a holiday, and had a delicious dinner and drinks while watching some football. Our server was great, but hearing the bar manager berating and swearing at him wasn't. It changed our experience, and others noticed it as well. I hope our server quits, and that he got the cash tip the BM was eager to snag when we paid.
Jessica Schenk
Great food, nice menu. We loved the cheeseburger and brie cheese curds. Fun theme and a really cool bar. We ate here before a concert downtown and enjoyed it.
Claire Rosenfrisk
We had appetizers, entrees, dessert, and assorted beverages. Great service and recommendations by the staff. Save room for the freshly made root beer cookies, surprising and delicious!
Ojashri Basnyat
It’s downtown Minneapolis! We went there for late Saturday lunch and the street that it’s on was nice and busy with the right amount of sun. This place is very well designed and the interior is a beautiful work of art as you can see from my pictures. The washroom is neat too covered with newspaper wallpapers. The ambience was pretty nice however our server was not so helpful. He didn’t smile nor suggest nor bring us enough cutlery & napkins.
I’m giving it a three star because of the food and the service. I’ve never had flatbread that tasted so weak before and the wings weren’t well cooked and had a smell. We weren’t satisfied with the food hence we had to move to another place.
I don’t know if our server was having an off day or the kitchen as well, but I wanted to try this place out because my friend had recommended it. I’m not sure if I’ll go back either. If you are only looking at trying out drinks at the stylish ship shaped bar, then go for it. But for food, I would recommend looking for another place.
Linda Giller
Great atmosphere, food and service! Conner was an excellent bartender! Cheese curds were great!
Jim Yang
We had a big party 18+ and the drinks were served quickly. Took the server 1hr to take our order but she was very apologetic about it as the night was super busy. Food came super quick once it was placed. Much prop to the cooks as the food was amazing. Great place for big or small groups.
Kasper Bosscher
Food was good.
We went for some pasta's which had nice flavours.
Sitting outside was nice. Inside they build some news themed walls, which unfortunatly made it hard to find the restrooms without guidance. The restrooms where however very clean and well maintained.
The waitress was polite and came frequently enough to check if we needed some more drinks or food.
jeje43
A very unique decor but very fitting. It's takes you on journey...every room is is filled with news of travel (I was told that). From the walls to ceiling there's a story. You have the center bar that's shaped like a ship with big busting mermaid at the bow. Theres something on Amelia Earhart plane, James Dean car and other-interesting historic stuff (Capone to Nixon). It's all about Newspaper. They had old press letter blocks built into tables, there big newspaper sculptures hanging from the ceiling.
The cheese Curds with Blueberry ketchup was tasty. The burger was cooking to perfection... juicy and tasty.
Everyone in the group really liked their food. Fish and Chips, Cobb Salad and Parmesan crusted chicken salad were all given thumbs up.
A great selection of beers on tap. Their own beers on tap were quite good was well
If you're in the area ... definitely stop by.
Kennedy Borman
Cool atmosphere downtown Minneapolis with tons of old newspaper clippings on the wall. Food is decent, definitely not outstanding but a solid place to eat dinner.
Kandice Ocheltree
A cute little place downtown Minneapolis, it had a great craft beer selection. Their style is sort of 1920s. The food here was good. I believe I got a pasta, as did most in my party. They also offered vegan dishes, if I remember. The drinks were strong and no one had any complaints!
Ben Fadell
First off, 5 stars isn't enough. My wife and I had a great date night on a very cold Wednesday night. You notice the warm, detailed environment with good music immediately. The menu has a variety but not overwhelming, same with the draft beer list. We ordered two pastas with meat and they were delicious.
The photo is a half plate of the gnocchi pasta, minus the perfect steak that I couldn't wait to eat.
Service was excellent! We will be back in the summer for the patio!
Devon Waldron
Great atmosphere, friendly service, decently creative menu. Stopped by for breakfast a couple of times. Food is tasty, though portions aren't large and the prices are a little steep, but neither in such a way that I'd find it unsatisfactory. Brie curds were delicious, biscuits and gravy were excellent, and avocado toast was above average. Also enjoyed a mocha with their "fresh-roasted" coffee; not amazing, but worthy. Staff was pretty friendly and helpful.
Amanda Tinebra
Fabulous food and great cocktails. Loved the aged Manhattan, and the Brie curds! I got the bourbon gnocchi and it was incredible. Hubs got the lasagna, which came our cold, but our server was great and fixed it. Overall, would definitely come back!
Karly H (Exploring the lakes!)
Went here for a dinner rehearsal!! Everyone did a fabulous job. The food was amazing. There bar is super cool.
Amy Mertz
Sat at the bar which was super uncomfortable. Bar was made out of a boat which did not fit in decor... bar top was too low, awkward and uncomfortable. Service was good. Dry rubbed wings were awesome, French fries very crisp and delicious. Pannini was very good, bread a bit dry...needed more sauce/cheese. Overall very good, we love to sit at bar so I would not go back because of comfort.
Fayth K
Came by one Friday night at 9pm with a light appetite, wanting a nice beer selection. I had the tortellini with pesto cream and a Jamaican style stout. The pesto cream was delicious and the stout is tasty, on the light side for a stout. My significant other hard the steak salad - the steak was seasoned nicely and was tender. The kitchen closes at 9:15, so it wasn't crowded, which was exactly our goal since neither of us wanted a noisy crowd. The restaurant is big, so you can get a table away from bigger parties. From the hostess to the server, and the person who bussed the table, everyone was friendly. This is a casual place with a nice variety on the menu. Though there are tv's in the bar, the volume wasn't on so it doesn't take on the characteristic of a sports bar. As far as the 10th Street Mall goes, I think this place is nice to pop into and not be part of a scene or packed with tourists. If I lived around here I'd be by regularly as it's an easy and tasty option.
J. Winter
Temperature checked and personal information taken. ID checked for my martini. Martini called "The Classic Monroe" was one of the best martinis I've had in a long time. Goose, dirty, stuffed BC olives. Perfect.
Brie curds: fried served with blueberry ketchup which taste like ketchup with hint of blueberry. The curds themselves were awesome!
Beer: Fulton Lonely Blonde, a local blonde ale, taste like Budweiser. No go. Switched to anchor steam from good old San Fran, can't go wrong with an old friend.
Food: Reubens with chips. Housemate chips with great potential. The oil the chips were fried in was in need of changing, not worth sending back but you could tell it was a little stale and occasionally I would get a little taste of something, besides a potato, that was previously fried. The sandwich was delectable! The meet is slow roasted to perfection with very little to no fat, homemade 1000 island isn't over bearing with the taste of mayonnaise like so many are and the fennel kraut gives the sandwich a touch of sweetness tying the whole thing together. Luckily for this sandwich I ate the half I did first, the second half was not so good. Drenched with the homemade 1000 island you could really taste the mayonnaise and not much else, still a great sandwich but the reuben at Govenor Stumpys in KC is still #1.
Dessert: Chocolate Old Fashioned, made with gin and very refreshing. Its served over and ice square with a sprinkle of dark chocolate. Absolutely delicious.
Bathrooms: clean, however, there are 2 way mirrors which could potentially make things a little uncomfortable considering that the room next is the men's room.
Over all this place is a must visit and the service was fantastic and personable.
PGAmos
WOW! I was told about the dessert and drinks...but not about the food. So many choices of both, it was hard to decide. A gal sitting next to me (from the northwest) recommended the salmon. Again, another hard decision. I ended up with the perfect drink and meal. 😁👍
PS- I’ll be back!!!
Jamal Hoye
The food was great. I sat at the bar the service wasn't to good but hey I get it. Making drinks for the rest of the wait staff. I had the Make your own burger which was really good. I also had the croquettes and they were amazing. Casamigos water and lime to drink.
Matt Gates
Good food, good atmosphere, wait staff was great. Bathroom was a little interesting. Couldn't figure our which one i was to go into. Eventually I found the sign above the entrance. I would definitely go back to this restaurant.
Mark Beedy
Excellent food at a reasonable price. We dined outside. The wait for food seemed long but we we were in no rush. Our waiter, Allen, was very attentive. I would dine here again.
Benjamin Rattle
Easy to give this place 5 stars.
We came in here with a party of 24 people and they were able to accommodate us with no issue. Even leading up to the day, we kept adding more people and they were fine with it. They split us into two tables right next to each other, got a second waitress and the service was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals: my wife and I had the mint gnocchi and meatloaf flight and both were very tasty (I could have used a little more of the sides). A friend also got the meatloaf and we kept changing out minds if we liked the beef, lamb, or chicken one the best, they all were very unique and delicious.
It was also our friends birthday and we were able to bring in our own cake for a small fee, which they cut and served for us! This is a great spot in downtown Minneapolis, would love to make it back out.
Michelle Foy
Laid back and casual dining atmosphere. Food was good the night we went (On a Tuesday night)
Great place for any occasion or meetup. Food was really good and was all fresh. Salmon was wild caught Atlantic and both dishes both hot and cold (salad entree) from people at our table were delicious. Pasta tasted like they got it from a pasta maker (homemade) and not out of a box! Only drawback was that I ordered the pasta dish that had salmon and while I could see the salmon pieces, I felt there could have been a few more ounces in the dish. Appetizer of fried Brie with blueberry ketchup was very unique and tasted very good. Something different from the same old thing! Service was great as well. Price point was good and not overly priced. We’d go back there.
Pat Turocy
OMG - the drinks here are incredible!! And the food was delicious also. Our server Jonathon was attentive but not too intrusive. It was a great dining experience!

I made a reservation several weeks ago for a group of 13 people for brunch prior to seeing Wicked at the Orpheum. Arrived yesterday morning in time for our reservation to find a locked, dark restaurant. Their website still says they are open Sundays, as does their google listing, but according to a server at a bar across the street, they are no longer open Sundays. This left me scrambling to find somewhere to accommodate a group our size, (thanks Wood + Paddle!), and ended up wasting enough of our time that we had to rush through brunch in order to get to the show on time. The person who took my reservation had all my contact information; it would have been easy for them to let me know about the change in hours but no one reached out.
Jana Castelan
One of my favorite places in Minneapolis. Ate there a couple of times each time the food was outstanding in the service was excellent. The handcrafted drinks were delicious. Pricing was fair and reasonable. Highly recommend The News Room. Had dinner at the high price steakhouse it was not as good.
Lacy Helget
Delicious! Scallops Carbonara and Lemon Garlic Salmon - gluten free fettuccine option for $4
The flavor in these dishes was robust and had many layers. I can't wait to come back again.
Ivana Babicová
As a non-American, this was the most American restaurant I have seen. Very maximalist, huge decorations plastered everywhere but it worked. Staff were friendly, food was good and reasonably priced.
Josh Rueckert
Amazing food, unique atmosphere and we got dinner and a show! Only the show was a drunk homeless lady that was whisped away by police and paramedics. Still one of the best restaurants in Minneapolis.
Franki Kung
Has a coherent "newsroom" theme. Abundant choices on menu. Ordered shrimp appetizer it was fried well. The outdoor patio is casual yet cute, though it's a busy street.
Mark Madigan
Went for Dinner on St. Patrick's Day. Great food and drinks. Always great Service.. thanks Stu!
Diamond Wartenbee
Great food great drinks awesome atmosphere would recommend. The decor was original and the service was prompt and accurate. Food came to the table together and was fresh and delish. Drink was perfect.
Alison Petroski
Fun atmosphere. Great food, but spendy. Nice selection of beers and ciders. Fun cocktails. The bar is shaped like ship and they climb a rope ladder to get high booze. Each room is different theme.
Alvin H
Ordered the Beef and Brocoli Stir Fry as an entree and a chocolate torte for dessert. It is really rich. I couldnt finish it, a little to much for me. If one loves chocolate this is the dessert for you.The bartenders were really nice. They even let me charge my phone. Nice atmosphere.
Kannone Lee
Food is great. My family stayed in downtown for a few days, so I was happy to find this to be family friendly. Loved the kids meal options. It came in a traditional lunch tray type platter that kept all the food from touching each other. My kids loved that. I had the meatloaf, which was great. My husband had the braised pork which was also very good. I only got a photo of my meatloaf.
Brendan Walker
The atmosphere is very nice and lively.
I had the Italian beef sandwich and home fries for lunch. The sandwich was pretty tasteless which was pretty surprising since I ordered it with the spicy peppers. The peppers weren't spicy at all and the dipping sauce had no flavor.
It was just ok.
Carol Smith
The food was AMAZING, and we had great staff service. We asked for the burger menu and we had a Ruben sandwich, pull pork sandwich and the world's best brussel sprouts side dish. I would go to Minneapolis agsin just to eat here.
Kinny Kins
Very awesome place to be in. They certainly nailed the decor and the food was really good. A little overpriced but I definitely enjoyed my experience. The service was also excellent and very friendly! No complaints!
Nancy Anderson
Very unique, fun place. The food was good. Cocktails were wonderful
Patrick Turnbull
First time in the Minneapolis area for a work event and went with a large group for dinner. Absolutely loved the place, perfect experience, thank you!
Nicole Nyarko
I've walked by this place DOZENS of times wandering around Nicollet Mall and never cared to go in! I'm glad we decided to stop in for dinner before a show at 7th Street Entry! It's surprisingly good food and a very laid back, casual atmosphere. My buddy had a Sangria and it was awesome. I had the Cosmopolitan which was also pretty great, and very potent. Lastly, I shall return to the Newsroom to eat more and more Thai Rice Balls. Who knee this was a thing?! Original & Delish! APPROVED!
Insu Park
Very good👍. First time but will come again 🤗 …
Louise
Friendly staff very cozy place and great food. Loved the decor even though they are kind of pricey it's worth every penny.
Molly Killingsworth
Awesome experience!! Great food, great drinks, and great service! Alex, our waitress, was awesome!
Sreenivas B R
I've often been here for happy hours more than for lunch. I love this place both during winter and summer patio time. Fast service and like the interiors. I love their Tea-Bag drink and recent featured Maui Sandwich was delicious. #LocalGuides #OnGoogleMaps

While in town for a Twins-Sox game, we headed to this spot for dinner after the game. What a pleasant surprise. Very unique atmosphere and the food was excellent. Will be back next time we’re in the city
Angela Larson
Food was above average. I had the short ribs with risotto and it did not disappoint. I especially liked the cherry compote component. The portion size was adequate, but for a gentleman it might have seemed a bit small. The service was passable but not at all warm or especially friendly. The only disappointment was the dessert. I tried the creme brulee with seasonal fruit. It came with 1/2 of a strawberry. Yes, 1/2 of a strawberry lol. And while the creme brulee was decent it lacked the crispy top that should be cracked open to enjoy the decadence inside.
Jessica Moore
Sssooooo good! If the conference group would have been down to do there every night, I would have! Sorry busy when we went, but even with that, the service was still outstanding.

I had lasagna and a couple of drinks. Food was well made and the drinks were too! If I was in town again I wouldn’t mine stopping here.
Rory Rusinek
Went on a Sunday 4pm after a matinee play. Was promptly greeted and seated by the attentive staff. Was given some recommendations from the menu but given time to review before ordering. Had the croquette appetizer, jambalaya, Meat loaf flight, and kids mac and cheese (not blue box which is nice as my daughter won't eat boxed mac and cheese). The croquette were breaded rice balls with a nice spicy sauce. The jambalaya (without shrimp per request) had a nice spicy kick like you would expect. The meatloaf flight was lamb (which I don't usually eat but thoroughly enjoyed), beef, and chicken; each meat had a different side and topping which complemented them nicely. Originally had wanted the salted chocolate torte but they were out so we had the Cheesecake which was deliciouse. It was a bit tamgier due to the goat cheese but the black lava salt and sauce added nice touches. Will definitely be back to try more.
shawn dixon
The atmosphere was lively! food was seasoned well and came out quick. Our server was very attentive.
Azzam Alnahed
Really cool and diverse drink selection. Molly, our server, was great too.
Robert E Adams
Server was awesome
Great food. I had salmon linguini
Pasta portion was smaller than expected
But worth a try
Bartender with curly hair. Was trash
Unprofessional ,
Short. And not willing to upsale when a certain gin wasn't in stock ....
I only say this because I spent 17 years behind the bar

Absolutely delicious. We went on a Friday night around 7pm and we didn't need a reservation. We started with the brie cheese curds. As a Montréaler, I cannot say they were cheese curds but that did not detract from their deliciousness. Squares of soft melt brie encasses in crispy panko with an outstanding blueberry ketchup on the side. Delicious.
I decided to have the beet salad for my main. It was huge. Lots of lettuce, tart beets, creamy goat cheese and crunchy candied nuts. My only only only complaint is that I wish they had cut the lettuce to smaller bits. I ended up with very big mouthfuls.
My husband had the gnocchi with steak. He found it absolutely delicious. He had a hard time deciding if he wanted to have a last bite of gnocchi, steak or onions, so he created a perfect trio of flavours and finished his meal very satisfied.
We ended our meal with the root beer cookies. Absolutely fantastic. The ice-cream with the cookies was delightful.
All in all a delicious meal with very good service. Was about 93$ USD for the both of us and that included all the food, tip and plus my husband had a cider and I had a diet coke. Highly recommended.
Rob Hatton
Had the fish and fries also the chicken sandwich and chips, I put hot sauce on it.
Lindsey Schreiner
A lovely restaurant in which the theme lives up to it's name. All the decorations and walls reflect an upscale news room, and the menu takes the style of a newspaper. The food and drinks were all fantastic! Highly recommend the Manhattan Barrel Aged Gnocchi. This is a great setting for a celebration or a classy night out.
Lyndsey Murphy
The food was divine (get the gnocchi!) and the bar staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Jc Jannarone
We had good food and server. Sat in the bar area. Recommend the steak salad, good size portion. Also had the bruschetta with salmon, recommend some sour cream if you order.
Ted Gautsch
This restaurant planted in the downtown district of Minneapolis is another that offers a unique touch to the city.
Located near a light rail station makes it easy to get to if you prefer not to try and park downtown which can be a nightmare, especially on the day of a ball game.
The newsroom provides a unique atmosphere with the look and feel of a newspaper. If you are going to eat for lunch or dinner I recommend calling in a reservation, due to the fact there is quite a local business population going for lunch or after work drinks. The atmosphere later in the day reminds of a NY bar and grill full of colleagues getting together after the long workday. With it being somewhat dimly lit and plenty of windows I think the ambience is very relaxing.
The menu offers a very wide variety of selections, I prefer a nice juicy Kobe burger and fries here. They are flexible to ensure you get the food just the way you prefer. I have been told the lasagna is quite good and made with fresh ingredients.
The staff are very personable and most have a wonderful sense of humor, they also provide bar drinks. One of the important considerations when selecting a quality restaurant is also the bathrooms, dry clean always and you will enjoy the unique design I'm sure. Cheers!
Cynthia Farley
In the downtown area so we just stopped in for drinks. We ordered a margarita and it was not too good,, the bartender remade it,, and it was way too strong,, could not drink it.. However, very nice atmosphere. Large dining and bar area. It's apparent that this business has taken a hit during the pandemic and possibly protest last year. It was basically empty. Still lots of potential for gatherings, so hopefully The News Room turn the corner soon and things start booming again.
Ryan
I was expecting it to be grander with all the hype. The food was just ok. I got a Cali panini which I could make at home better.
Melanie Sartain
This drink is delicious. They soak the watermelon balls in vodka as well. Worth the price! HH isn't too shabby either and the dry rub jerk wings are delicious.
Deepak Kumar
loved the place...nice and drinks served as well...pasta was awesome !!!
Denise Zechmann
Still trying to figure out the ship in the middle of the bar. Totally disconnected from The newsroom theme that the rest of the place has going on.
Atmosphere for a Sunday lunch was great for conversation. Wait staff was attentive. Bloody Marys were tasty.
I had a cup of broccoli cheese soup that was good but not great. The flatbread was a fairly huge disappointment. It truly was as flat as a sheet of paper. The edges were burnt all around with good inch and a half into the bread. The toppings were less than generous.
Ru Be
I went there for dinner with some family, and it was not your traditional American food, but it also had your traditional American food. There's an appetizer there called cheese curd bites in there with brie cheese and then they have a blueberry sauce that goes with it They're amazing! One appetizer and two steaks was worth it. You'll definitely pay for it though. Meaning, three items basically cost over $100 before tip. That was a lot of fun. It's a great atmosphere. Service was great. I would highly recommend grabbing it by ear or sitting down and having great conversation with friends or family.
Marissa Indimuli
Amazing food! Yes on the pricy end but worth every bite and sip! The Brie cheese curds are SO good!! Our server Dan was awesome too when we ordered he made suggestions of how we could think differently about our order and all the recommendations he made were delicious! Great place to enjoy a date night!
Cheryl Hood Langel
Great atmosphere: low hum of conversation but not too crowded. All meat cooked exactly to ordered doneness and great flavor. Pork appetizer too dry, cheesecake just ok. Excellent service.
David & Beth Jackson
Food was great. Had the Jambalaya that had a nice spicy kick to it. Draft beers choices were a bit limited and pricey. Service was just average.Atmosphere is really neat.
Anil Singh
Great food and excellent service. Had the pork shank and was awesome.
Max Tran
Great juicy burger.i got the coffee rubbed one. Perfect combination with fried egg.
Sharath Gangadhar
Different infrastructure different ambience!! Drinks are nice they have very nice cocktails and nice service.
Denise hiknee
I. Remember when this place was packed every day. Its still quite good, just no one is downtown
YC “Claire” L
The decorations are very cool. I love the mermaid pirate ship. I am not big into drinks but I got a raspberry mojito which was so so good, a little pricey though
Dirk Koenig
I live in the suburbs, so I don't think of The News Room for dining out often, but when we're attending events downtown we find ourselves there regularly. It's a convenient, central location for walking to wherever our event is, so it always seems like a "fallback" choice. But, convenience aside, I'm continually surprised at just how good the cocktails and food are, innovative and fun. Delightful.
Dan B
Good food friendly service...hard to beat especially in the heat of super bowl week.
Patrick Shaw
Out door seating. Good craft Beer list and eclectic menu
Saurabh
Ordered the flatbread pizza. The serving size is huge. Cannot be finished in a single sitting. The taste is decent.
Idahofoodie
Awesome service and delicious food and hand crafted cocktails. Ate there several times during our visit to Minneapolis.
Toni Carlson
Food was great, friendly staff and I love the decor!
David Quamme
Friday night at 8:50. I walked in solo with no reservation. No prob. Everyone/everything was Covid compliant for what I could see. But here's what matters...
That tortellini was a sonofabitch. Bartender said "good choice" when I ordered it. I thought, duh, I only make good choices (😅).
It looked good upon arrival and tasted excellent (maybe the best Ive ever had, but I'm not like a tortellini expert or anything), but 25% of my way through, I was worried the portion size was too small. (to be fair my BMI would think otherwise).
However, it turned out to be the perfect amount. They also didn't skimp on the sauce, so when I started fearing the end, I could fight it by slathering everything up in it.
Overall, eat the tortellini. No idea about typical atmosphere, staff, or drinks other than an IPA (was good but pricey), but that tortellini was a sonofabitch.
John Helling
Great service, food and atmosphere, I'll be back!
Sarah Fadell
Where to start...Thank you for being open when it's -17° out and for providing exceptional service. EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Atmosphere = excellent also. Very cool design abounds - even loved the winding walk to the bathroom. The beer selection was great (they even tapped a new keg when one pour came out not-great-looking BEFORE it even came to the table), and the food was amazing. I wish I had taken photos of the chicken/tortellini entree and the steak/gnocchi entree before we ate them because they were gorgeous but they were SO DELICIOUS we devoured them. They were split without asking and still presented perfectly, by the way - somehow our server deduced that we were both going to eat both entrees and they both came out perfectly plated for each of us in individual servings. Did I mention the exceptional service??? We will be back. Thank you and goodnight!!
Evan Jensen
The News Room is a very neat spot down town. Decorated with news memorabilia and has lots of seating for many different size groups. The food is spectacular; especially the brie curds with the blueberry ketchup!! Overall, I'd highly recommend the News Room, but make sure you give yourself enough time. The service is a bit slower than most places, though this could be due to the tough staffing situation COVID has caused. Hopefully this will get better soon.
Pearl Martinez
Love the food! The waiter was the nicest, great place!
Sarah Leatherwood
Service was good. Food was just OK. I got the rueben, which was good, I was just surprised with the saurkraut taste. It was very sweet. My husband got the mushroom ragout which was very bland. The drinks were excellent. The raspberry mojito was delicious.
Sarah Sweeney
The atmosphere was the best part. With a fun decor and great staff we were happy. That said, the food was average. When you factor in the cost our dinner and drinks I was expecting to be more impressed.
Roshan Rajkumar
With only a few sit down lunch places in Downtown right now, Newsroom is a great option. Indoor or outdoor seating. Easy to make reservations. Pleasant and competent staff. Good lunch options and a full bar. Good place to support for lunch Downtown.
Jeff Owens
Great appetizers and an amazing drink list. Love the newspaper-themed atmosphere. Definitely come for happy hour. All the appetizers we had we're great, but I especially recommend the flat bread pizza and the prosciutto. We had a large group and they accommodated us well, though it also looks like a good place for smaller groups and couples. Regular menu prices are a little high, but everything was generally excellent.
Kelly Reese
First time at this location. Absolutely loved our experience. Great cocktails, apps and very friendly staff. If you're dinning in, call ahead.
Leonard boyd
The layout/decore is really unique. Definitely worth checking out.
Logan McD
Do not get the pork belly! I got the pork belly and coconut fried rice, it was lackluster and that it had zero pork belly portion in it whatsoever. Maybe my expectation was a little too high but I was thoroughly let down that I didn’t have a fatty piece of pork belly in the dish. The server never really asked how we liked our food but she came by to refill cocktails.
AmandaNBS
Great food! My favorite Happy Hour spot
Jeff Kott
Food was outstanding
Drinks were pricey!
Susie Sooze
Been going here for years! Delicious food and the staff is so nice! Lots of long term staff which is always a good sign! Tourists can be douchebags so if you are from out of town be nice and tip well!
Loren Wheeler
Great downtown Eatery with inside and outside seating. By the way if these comments help please give it a thumbs up :-)! The food was very good, in the selection was very creative enlarge. Overall in the service was very good, the servers were attentive and courteous. The only downside was a little bit of inconsistency and delay with the orders. The great place for after work or Hanging With Friends!
Michael william Thomas
For the price, not the best experience. There were 3 of us, they place one paper menu on the table. I asked for another menu, and the servers response was you can just scan the code. I said can i get one more paper menu, she still made an excuse. Maybe its just me but i didnt go out for self service, i went out to be served. The food was just ok. I had a kobe burger medium rare, it came back just medium to medium well. Barely any pink. I go out for lunch almost every day and it seems like service is lacking and then its just blamed on covid. Its similar to how everyone hid behind "9.11" a few years ago.
Daniel Scheetz
Different atmosphere, good food reasonably priced, friendly staff.
David Braun
The eggs benedict flight is a nice treat. Been here a couple of times when visiting the city and have left happy both times.
Patrick Brown
I came in with a large group (12 people) with a reservation. We were immediately seated in a charming nook, at a long table and greeted by Krystle, one of the most personable servers I've ever seen. She handled our complicated drink and appetizer orders magnificently. The food was delicious, most of us shared from our plates so everyone could enjoy the eclectic menu items. We finished the night with multiple shared desserts, laughs, and a group photo courtesy of Krystle. I can guarantee that I will come back to The News Room the next time I'm in Minneapolis.
Tony Carr
Bartender Christina was fantastic. It was a slow afternoon but she made the time to connect with everyone at the bar. Great drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere. Thank you!
Devin K
Came here on recommendation from our hotel and we were not disappointed! The restaurant atmosphere is very neat and the staff very friendly. My wife has Celiac's and has to eat gluten free. The server was very helpful with her dining options and made us feel very comfortable about ordering. The drinks were great and our meal was terrific. We will absolutely come back in the future and encourage everyone to try it. Words of wisdom, before entering the restroom, make sure you are walking into the right one. It's a learning curve your first trip to say the least.
Trevor Ferguson
Service was ridiculous. Took over 30 minutes to get our food order. Then after it was taken he sat with another table for another 15. The table behind us who came in after us got their food before us as well as the table that he sat with that ordered after us. After 10 minutes of everyone having their food except for us, I spoke to a manager. He was very nice and comp’d our meal.
I will say the food was amazing once we got it. I had a chicken Cobb. One of the best I’ve had. And my friend had fish tacos and fries which she loved.
Just wish the service was much better. It wasn’t even busy inside.
John Chandler
I went on a Monday night which was very quiet.
Service was really good.
Drinks were really good.
I ordered some pasta and my colleague ordered a streak. The streak looked amazing. My pasta was quite good. I ordered a side of broccoli and it was slightly undercooked.
Overall, i would recommend, especially if it was a bit busier.
Arvin Silva
One of our go-to restaurants before going to The Orpheum for shows. We like the theme of the rooms within it. The food has always been consistent. This last visit I had the Pig Mac with home fries. Both were delicious, and I'd highly recommend ordering it. Our server was courteous, and the entrees were served timely.
Ben Graves
Had dinner here and enjoyed it. Ordered the lasagna and it was huge and delicious.
Couldn’t find the bathroom to save my life, ask for directions.
Great atmosphere and decorations, easy to have some food and watch a game.
Staff was nice.
I’d come back for another meal!
Aidan Read
Went here for my girlfriends birthday. We had 6:30 reservations made a week in advance, which they had lost. We had to wait 20 min to be seated because they lost our reservation. After being seated waited 40min to actually get drinks. an hour after being seated we finally had our order taken. Food came quickly, and it was good. Food appeared very plain. huge serving of pasta with no sides or even garnishes. Not much on presentation. A few minutes into our meal they brought us bread which would have been nice when we were waiting for an hour. I liked the decor but the service sucked and the food was good, just nothing special. Probably wouldn't come for dinner again.
Linda Leitz
Good basic food. Excellent service.
Brittany Misuraca
I've taken large groups of students here several times for dinners and they love the atmosphere. They have a great burgers menu that you have to ask for. I like ordering a build-your-own-burger. They are very accommodating for large groups and I like that you can make a reservation online.
I've also been here for happy hour with friends and they make really good cocktails!
Tara Hanson
Went here for dinner before a concert on a Saturday night about 5:30. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Service was great/quick and both mine and my friend's food was delicious. Fun atmosphere too. I would definitely go back. Only funny thing was we had no idea which side of the bathroom was for women. I saw 2 others who were confused as well as it wasn't marked.
C S
The drinks are good and the atmosphere is nice. The bathrooms are interesting and very different from what you usually see for a public restroom. Not the best for large groups (6+) as the tables are small, and tables need to be pushed together for a sizeable group to drink and dine together. I'd return for happy hour as it is conveniently located. Probably not so much for food as I eat plant-based, and there is little on the menu that is plant-based.
Sara Jamieson
We went before seeing Frozen at the Orpheum. It was delicious and quick service as is needed before a show. Staff was friendly and prompt. Kids were intrigued by the bathroom.
Burke Tagney
My GF and I headed there after a night at the orchestra and it was a fantastic experience! The theme is great, he staff was friendly and it has a lot of space so you didn’t feel cramped. We order appetizers and they were phenomenal, I think my life is changed after eating Brie Curds with blueberry ketchup. And the flatbreads and calamari were top notch. We didn’t get a drink, but planning on going back again to check out the cocktails!
John Howell
The beer selection in bottles is definitely a plus here. They have a good selection of local and other craft beers. I got the bone in short rib risotto. It was good but a little sweet. I don't think I would get it again, but don't regret having it once. My wife got the chicken artichoke alfredo which was underwhelming. Kind of watery, could use some better flavors, would not get again. Doubt we'll come back, but also wouldn't avoid. Just not our style.
Ari Villafuerte
Beautiful presentation on their dish but food was bland. Service is okay but value was in purchase was not equally balanced. This is a great view but not worth the time or money on a short trip or even as a regular eat
Matthew Collings
I've eaten here a few times and found the food to be good, decor to be unique and the staff to be friendly. The location is great and close by to what I to to in the cities. It's broken up in to three sections that I've seen with the most distant section offering a more intimate experience. The prices seem a little high for what I've had but that is like most places in the area. All around it's a decent place to grab some food.
Rumi Mohammad
Mixed bag. Went here 3 times during my stay. First time a friend picked the place and the duck fried rice was good. Second time I suggested it since it was pretty good the first time. The steak and mushrooms were terrible. Badly seasoned and way oversalted. I had to stop halfway. Third time I went with a big group that already picked the place. I played it safe and the duck was still good. I'm a bit confused. Maybe the chef was out sick and the dishwasher had to fill in on steak night? Anyways the 50 day oak Manhattan was consistently good. Pricy gamble here. Good luck.
terry eulberg
Service was outstanding Quinn was quick, informative had great knowledge of menu and he was a lot of fun. Also he went above and beyond to help find menu options that fit into my diet restrictions The variety of the menu and unique options had something for everyone and made it hard to decide. Not a terrible thing to happen! Food came and did not disappoint.
Erin R
Root beer cookies a surprisingly delight, good food and service
Sharyl Gandara
Always great food and service here! The menu always seems to have something new. The atmosphere is great with the buzz of a bar yet you can have a private conversation at your table or in a separate room/area. The Servers are very knowledgeable and efficient, they work as an experienced team together.
Stephanie N
Delicious food and great service! Enjoyed a great dinner outside during the summer. Unfortunately, a few local people came up to our table begging for food. But the restaurant staff handles it great. Highly recommend!
Tina Wu
I went for dinner and loved the great vibes! The newspaper theme makes it quirky, the comfortable atmosphere created by the many TV screens (especially since there was a Vikings away game that day) makes it casual (much like a pub), but the great service and delicious food from their nice entree selection makes it a solid restaurant. My sister and I loved the salmon linguine and the bread they served before our food came up. Our server and all other waiters we interacted with were super friendly.
Erik Marksberry
Phenomenal. Solid, fast, and friendly service. Ahi crisps were creative and tasty. Salmon & scallops wonderful. And the salted caramel cheesecake was absolutely decadent! Will be returning soon. Oh, and when we walked in, we thought it was a sports bar. We were SO wrong. It definitely has a laid back feel, but their food is all business.
Jason Peterson
Great food with an awesome atmosphere. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Minneapolis
Scott Ellich
Very disappointing meal. Definite decrease in quality from 10 years.
Felipa Cespedes
Super yummy mojito that had me feeling it 👍🏽! Nice atmosphere and quick service. I got there 40 min before closing and I should have arrived soon! …
amanda hayne
The drinks are always good and people are always nice. I will visit here Everytime I'm in town.
Jessica Mariani
Really great service; very attentive server. Food was well made and tasted great. Drinks were superb. Atmosphere was 10/10. Overall, a great spot and highly recommend.
Laurie Herman
The french fries and raspberry mojito were great. Decor was fun! The service was very inattentive to the point that we had to ask for things multiple times (menu, ketchup, etc.) - never did get ketchup. Our deserts seemed to be taken right out of premade box, not good. I anticipated better for the price point. I will not return.
Jeremy Andra
Great food and great company. Loved the place and it's staff. The restrooms will freak you out a bit when you realize the mirrors let you see through the opposite room on other side which is the restroom for the opposite sex. Was funny to see the reaction of those that thought they came into the wrong restroom. If you found this review helpful, please like it. Thanks
Liza Lomax
Okay food. Nothing super special. Ask for burger med rare, came done done. Fries were a little warm, seemed like they had been sitting for awhile. It's an alright restaurant if you are downtown and can find another restaurant to go to.
Rebecca Martin
Son had Kobe burger and loved it. I had the Pig Mac and it was delicious. Long list of beers on tap. We were there in the middle of a Saturday afternoon and it was not busy. Decor had oversized newspapers everywhere. Quite unique.
Emily Hauge
Absolutely perfect service and... oh, the fillet... Worth. Every. Cent. Potatoes are over whipped and sub par, likely intentionally, so as to keep focus on the definitively BEAUTIFUL, PERFECTLY PREPARED, 48 day wet aged fillet. True Perfection. Host and bartenders were absolutely lovely. The Brie cheese curds are remarkable. This was an absolute highlight of my visit to Minneapolis.
Drew Losure-McDermott
Amazing atmosphere, very good food. My experience was dampened by the fact that service was sub-par and the food took an astoundingly long time to come out to our party; I am aware that during the busy part of dinner, nobody's food is going to be immediate, but if food is taking in excess of an hour to arrive at all that indicates something of a staffing problem if nothing else. I know it wasn't just our table because tables around us were clearly affected as well. Server wasn't rude, really, but wasn't exactly friendly either.
Food was good enough that I'd still probably eat here again, I'd just be careful to come at some time off of peak hours.
Thomas Umgelter
Very cool place! My girlfriend and I just went here for breakfast on a very cold day in February, and the place was pretty empty. I ordered us a couple of bloody Mary's right away. They were a little spicy, so much so, I couldn't even tell if there was any vodka in them or not. I then ordered the corned beef hash, which was not your normal has for sure. It came with only two poached eggs, but really needs three to strike a balance with the amount of spicy and greasy hash. My girlfriend had the eggs Benedict flight, and that she thought was very good. Their coffee is very weak, and nothing special at all. I would like to go back and try their lunch or dinner though.
Ada Loveless
24-hours after my first visit, I simply cannot stop craving the food I experienced last night. We both loved the food. I had the Tortellini and my friend had the Gnocchi. We both were in awe of the food. Deep, rich flavors, fresh exotic ingredients. This was no ordinary meal.
Sharon Ketterling
Our dining experience at the Newsroom was exactly the opposite of the previous review.
There were 5 of us that ate dinner there on Sunday, August 21, 2016. The food choices were unique and delicious. Our appetizers, as well as our meals, came promptly and were hot.
Our server was very conscientious, making sure our water glasses were always filled.
She happily separated our bill into thirds; even offering to split the shared cost of the appetizers as well.
I'm looking forward to another dining experience there in the future.
Peter Ray
Bartender was great, beer recommendations fantastic. Jambalaya had all fresh ingredients, with just the right mix of spice, crunch and overall taste. Great atmosphere, make sure to sit at the shipwreck bar.
Chaz Eustice
We went for valentines day and were very pleased with our experience! Great drinks, great atmosphere, and super friendly staff. I'm vegan and our waitress really went the extra mile to make sure I enjoyed my meal. Would def recommend for a date night, it's a little on the spendy side. But worth it!
Ethan Turan
The food was delicious, but it wasn't the atmosphere I was expecting. Not necessarily a bad experience, but the music was rather loud, and the inside has a cheesy feeling to it. I also had trouble having a conversation in the presence of the giant sailboat that makes up the bar in the restaurant.
Anthony Fenner
Great food. Been ages since we've eaten here and still enjoy the food and atmosphere.
John Lannon
The food was a little weird but delicious. The atmosphere is very unique, a cross between pirate bar and editor-in-chief's office. The bathrooms are super weird though. The mirrors for the men's and women's rooms are shared, and they're only partially reflective, so you can literally gaze into the opposite gender's bathroom while washing your hands. It was a bit unsettling to be in a men's room and suddenly lock eyes unexpectedly with a stranger. Make sure you use the restroom before you go unless you want to pee and people-watch in the same 30 seconds.
Matt Wendt
I have dined here twice in the past year. I most recently enjoyed the jambalaya pasta while my wife really liked her salad. They have a pretty good happy hour with discounts on select apps, drinks and tap beers. I love the atmosphere and decor!
Nick Hall
Nice menu and always good service
Nate Chrastil
Cool atmosphere in a good location downtown. Drink menu was unique and thorough and the food was excellent. Don't recommend the smoked salmon bruschetta due to the tiny portion size, but the pork shank was phenomenal.
Michelle Colson
Service was lacking. Food was good, but not memorable.
Kathy Mc
Good cocktails, we didn't eat.
Joseph Mullins
Crazy good breakfast!
I wish I had stayed here long enough to have breakfast and lunch both, because I am certain it would have been an amazing lunch.
As it was between my wife, 3yr old and myself we had a beautiful array of breakfasts that were all tremendous.
Their breads were all delicious, even their wheat bread. And I HATE wheat bread!
additionally I ordered a couple bloody Mary's, ordered a couple different ways and they were perfect.
Emilia Diamant
This spot is a good, easy standard for dinners and drinks. I've been often during my trips to Minneapolis and I'm always impressed by the food, beer menu, and service. It's a bit loud, but I don't mind excited sports fans. Gluten free pasta is good for my dining-mates. I highly recommend the pasta dishes!
R Crockett
Delicious food, amazing hand crafted drinks and a cool, dimly lit atmosphere. There is a huge wooden ship that serves as the bar. Little higher end price wise, but we thought it was worth it. Would visit again.
Adam Roberts
Good service and great food. I had the jambalaya and loved it. Giving four stars because the wait was pretty long and the restaurant was slightly chilly
Matteo Stucchi
Nice downtown spot! The kobe (us one) burger was great!
Megan Yvonne
The bar is a pirate ship! It's beautiful and fun. Best martinis on this side of town. Weekends are always super busy. Use round table or call well in advance for a table. This is a favorite hangout for happy hours after work.
Aaron Chittick
My group of 9 was seated quickly and the wait staff was polite and accommodating. The food was incredible, even the teenagers tried something new and loved it. The decor was very pleasant and I felt very comfortable.
Garrett Anderson
Good cocktails, decent food. Great all-around place to meet up for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Can't go wrong, but I've never been blown away, really. Just an enjoyable and predictable meeting spot for friend groups of any size.
Lewis Butler
Short staffed while I was there. Good ambiance and drinks once we got them.
Jaycey Cleland
I really enjoyed the food. The curbside tables, friendly staff. A little pricey but fair for the value. I really have nothing negative to say. 5 stars.
Maggie Bloomington
I was disappointed with my entree. I wasn't too hungry when I arrived for dinner because I had had a big lunch but, it was my friend's birthday and she had chosen for our group to go there. Looking at the menu, I was thinking of getting something lighter but just didn't really want a salad. I saw the ratatouille and thought it would be a good choice-- a ton of vegetables and little pasta. Nope, not at all. It was a dish with a heavy cream based sauce, a TON of pasta, and very little vegetables. Not at all the "light" vegetable pasta dish I was expecting. It tasted alright but just did not fit the typical ratatouille dish the menu had led me to believe I would be getting. .
Also-- the service was terrible. Yes, there were 11 of us so we expected the food to take longer to come out but the typical refilling of waters and asking if we needed anything after the food arrived did not happen. Our waitress would arrive at our table, do whatever she came to do, and leave before any of us could ask a question or request more water, another drink, or even a take-home box at the end of the night.
Brian Van Duyne
Food was very good, small portion for the price.
T. Duke
I've been here twice and had the same server, who remembered me and a few different Friends from our previous visit, almost a year ago! Each time my friends enjoyed their meal, I only had fries as I'm very picky. It's a nice place to go, with lots of parking options
Preston Fobbe
The environment was really good. Good drinks and a good waiter. I ordered meatloaf flight. It was okay but one of the Wolves had a lot of Rosemary in it. It was okay but not the greatest and the side dishes with it we're okay
Shelley Kaste
Fantastic food! Great atmosphere! Family friendly, and patio dining!
Thom Walls
A good place for a quick meal of great food.
Ryuuie Ryuu
Went here two years ago and loved it then. Came back in 2019 and still love it! Try the steak salad entree. It rules.
The lasagna is good too.
Also get the peach cider.
Chris Parker
Went for happy hour and got the salmon bruchetta which was smoked and awesome but it was the gnocci and meatloaf entrees that stole the show. Incredibly cool interior and food was amazing. Will definitely be back and will try for breakfast while we're here.
Keren Amaya S
Good choice. I had a delicious ribeye here, it was great. Make sure you try the maple butter with bread, omg, it's sooooo good.
I also Had the brussel sprouts, mmm, yummie... you'll leave this place with at least +3 pounds in your body, hahaha, but worth it.
I also had a tea bag cocktail, it was different, good different.
Service was very good too.
tony sterzinger
Chicken sandwich, best I've had.
Christopher Wagner
Fantastic Burger / Fun Atmosphere
The build your own burger was in the top 3 burgers I have had in my life. The style and decor of the restaurant is quite unique. The service was fast and courteous. I will definitely come back.
Josh Sumption
Was more than I planned to spend on supper, but went with the Ahi Tuna and don't regret it one bit!
Katie Nelson
Tortellini was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Great environment, crew, grub, and drinks. Highly recommend.
Alex Hatzenbuhler
The atmosphere of the Newsroom was great. I went during lunch time and it wasn't busy. The food was delicious. And the waitress who helped us was friendly and fast. I recommend any of their sandwiches. Great place downtown.
Lola
Nice atmosphere but Rachel the waitress did a bad job with checking on us after we ordered. We saw her only once after she took our order and that was after we were all done eating. She never offered us more water or soda. She never asked if our food was brought out how we ordered it, nothing. She wasn't mean or nice...she just wasn't there!
Donna Myers
Top shelf service and beautifully prepared dishes. It's clear the chef thinks about the patron. The martinis are bird bath sized, ice cold and well worth the $12.50 price tag, and this includes premium vodka!
Bailee Lass Dungan
Good food, kinda spendy for the portion sizes you get. My date had the tortellini and it looked like he got about 15 pieces. I however had the chicken artichoke alfredo, which was very good, but much bigger than his serving! So beware of the portion sizes - you never know what you're gonna get.
Ben Hess
I come here for breakfast as much as I can; they have good corned beef hash and their tomato sauce is nice and spicy. Their cocktails are ok - bartenders do a good job but bartending isn't their "hobby", if you know what I mean. Overall, it's good.
Shanèe
Food was good. Service was good. The environment was mellow (when I went). The design of the restaurant is awesome! Drinks are a little pricey for what you get, but that's expected for Nicollet Mall Downtown Minneapolis
Donna Hawley
You can always depend on the News Room for good for great food and a good view of Nicollet Mall and great service! Owner, Pete is ALWAUS there🙌 …
Mark Musselwhite
This place was walking distance from my hotel. Cool vibe and decor. Solo dinner while on business travel. Didn't feel rushed in any way. Great service. Cobb salad and cup of beef stew. Both were fantastic. I will be back.
Sheila Cole
Brie curds were disappointing and the rest of the menu seems to be double the price from pre-COVID times. Thankfully the service is still amazing.
Kylie Junk
Service was great! Food didn't really have much flavor other than the brie balls, those were good.
Brian Tran
Great decor, location. Very good food and staff. Had strawberry mojito, Sunday brunch menu, fried chicken sandwich, avocado toast and chorizo omelette. All excellent.
Sara Baker
I had the bone-in short rib risotto. It was sooooo good! My husand had the Kobe beef lasagna, which is also really enjoyed. We got deserts to go, which were the creme brulee and the rootbeer cookies. The only thing we didn't like was the price. We also got the ahi taco, so amazing. We spend over $100 on an appetizer 2 entries, a kids meal and 2 desserts and I had one alcoholic drink.
Colton Schlumpberger (Schlumpenstein)
Excellent restaurant! Our server was great, and was awesome with our party of 14 people. Her recommendations were great and the service was good for our party. We all had a great time and enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Bruce Kuyava
Our server was attentive, pleasant, and efficient. My food (the Thai Shrimp Wrap) was one of the best things I've ever eaten. No joke. I would recommend The News Room to anyone and would return tomorrow if I could.
Alex Sneed Miller
Nice restaurant for casual or more formal times. Interior is decorated with news print. Wide variety of items on the menu for both lunch or dinner. Food is reasonably priced for downtown Minneapolis. Great patio if you are able to make it there during the summer months.
Sid
Nice ambience and good staff I had the fish and chips, it was good..
Kathy Vachon
Was not impressed. Was with a group and my meal was not as warm as it could have been. Did not receive my Apple side with my pork. One person's meal didn't show up until we hailed down another server. Would have mentioned my issues but never saw our server to order
Curtis Cox
Ruben sandwich was good. Atmosphere was great for lunch. Everything in Minnie is pricey, so lunch was not out of line with the other places in town. Service was great and folks were nice. Will go back.
Cynthia Nelson
Really cool atmosphere. I totally nerded out here. Pretty substantial "libation" menu. Food was choice
Keith Rench
Stopped in here for drinks after the Yankees dominated the Twins, because we were trying to find a place to watch the end of the Raiders game. Luckily, they were open until 1am and it was nearly midnight. We only had drinks and the waitress seemed to be pissed that we were there, but in her defense, we all should have been asleep at that time on a Monday. Unfortunately for her, she made her life decisions and now has to live with them. Still had an overall good experience there though.
Cid S
I love the place order Johnny Walker blue and watch them climb the ladder. The food is great too always a must stop for a drink
Dave Brue
Almond chicken salad was great!
Danila Whitcomb
Newsroom never let's me down when we stay in town. Great service and amazing food! Highly recommend the Brussel sprouts
Dennis Lowry
Interesting decor - a mix of news reel and a nautical theme. Oddly it works. I had the Classic Breakfast which came surprisingly quick. Good portion, the potatoes were amazing. Bottomless coffee is the size of your head and comes with a soup spoon.
Phatcat09
I got served fish and chips in a can. I mean it was good, but the can was kinda dirty.
John Hamm
Neat place inside but good was inadequate. My wife got the jambalaya and it was quite delicious. I got the chicken cordon blu. That was a different story. They were trying to be unique with the filo pastry bread. The inside was super set and lacked flavor. With so many options on nicollet ave I don't know if we'll go back.
Andy Kaasa
Staff is always friendly. The food options are extensive for their location. Fun variety! Oh, and the kitchen is open late! Good bar. Not cheap but not expensive.
Vaisakh Nair
Perfect American restaurant with a good happy hour menu . Definitely a place to hangout with colleagues
Cedric Long
The News Room has a fun, casual environment and offers outdoor seating on the sidewalk on Nicollet Mall. Food options are fairly basic but tasty. It is one of the few places available in the covid era for a good casual business or social lunch in downtown Minneapolis.
Russell Lee
Solid American fare with lots of options. Not as busy as some of the neighboring bars and restaurants but right in the middle of the action on Nicollet. Service was a little spotty, and that's the only reason for not giving 5 stars. It's a solid 4.5. the brussel sprout and parmesan side is amazing! Food is reasonably priced and includes sides for the most part too.
Jon McCarty
Upscale dining and atmosphere. The Ahi was super fresh and delicious. The brie curds with blueberry ketchup were amazing!! Definitely recommend!
Aurora Goldberg
Everything about our lunch was spectacular!
Started with the Tres Hummus. One as awesome as the next one. Later I had the best Rueben ever! And to finish off an amazing Creme Brule. You need to stop and enjoy good eatery.
Mallory Moran
Wonderful decor and impressive bar menu.
pirspektiv
First and foremost... The food was incredible. Our service was not. However, I do believe it was an isolated incident and management more than compensated for it. Highly recommend the lasagne... It was amazing!
Luke LeBlanc
Really cool atmosphere (the bar is made to look like a ship - it’s awesome). Attentive and friendly customer service. The newspaper decor and its detail makes you wanna come back. Great place.
Robert Chaussee
Delicious food, great atmosphere, excellent and pleasant staff. Please cut veggies smaller. Hopefully the road construction doesn't keep people away, because it's always worth the trip to the Newsroom
Patrick Kelly
4/8/2017: I had the Corned Beef Hash which was quite good but my friend said her pancakes were flavorless. Nothing to get excited about here but nothing terrible either. Interesting decor with enlarged newspapers plastering the space.
D D
The very best in Minneapolis!!
You can’t get better food or service then the News Room. Jen, Nick, Marissa are all unbelievably Good!
Best in the business!!
Darren Wacker
Great happy hour and delicious appetizers. It was the perfect end to a work day. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Wine selection was on point as well.
Jay Mabry
Not because of the food. It was great and I would recommend it. But it isn't 5 star food and certainly at those prices. BUT, I would recommend it. You won't regret the food or the portions. The service was terrific and the atmosphere sealed the deal.
PhloxADR Mediation Arbitration
Excellent food and great atmosphere. Had the flat iron steak which was cooked perfectly.! Staff was friendly and the restaurant was very nice with reasonable prices.
Joseph Haake
Great outdoor seating on Nicollet mall. Huge beer selection. Food is alright, I don't typically come here for a full meal, but the hummus plate is great to graze on.
Lisa Gnoza
Pretty good food. When we went, the inside was empty. Outside eating area was busy though. Great mixed drinks.
Todd Morey
Food was great and service was great also. Had the surf and turf special and the steak was very tender with good taste. Had scallops for the surf part and they were very good also.
Justin Chang
Good for groups although a little hard to get out of some of the circular booths, nice variety of burgers offered. Outdoor seating on the side is great, especially on a summer evening.
Patrick Rath
Awesome place. Went 11:00am on a Sunday. Good service great food. Brie curds were so good!
Nisar Palla
Newsroom is my goto place every time I'm in Downtown Minneapolis. Fun environment, simple menu, friendly service. Great for Al Fresco dining during spring and summer. Popcorn shrimp and Mahi Tacos are my favourite. Also a great place to have drinks and hang out during happy hour.
A S
Have only been here for breakfast during the week. Nice ambiance. Good food. Easy street parking during the times I was there. Friendly staff. Interesting decor.
Isaac M
The food tasted great. Cocktails were great. Service was incredible -- our server even ran down the block after us when we forgot our card!
Susan Bedker
I was a little hesitant to go to this place because it looked like over priced bar food, but a group of friends picked it so I went. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised!! The food was awesome and cooked perfectly, the service was great and it was a comfortable atmosphere. definitely reccomwnd!
Derek Krez
Incredibly visual atmosphere. There is alot to look at. Incredible unique menu items. Would recommend staying away from the Meatloaf Flight. Everything else is special, and worth the price.
Brian Carnell
Really good selection of interesting tap beers.
Cameron
I’ll give them a break because of obvious staff shortages and what I can imagine is a difficult market to hire in, but slow/borderline dismissive service.
Mitch Hartsey
Good food, nice atmosphere.
David Hutchinson
We stopped in for dinner after a Timberwolves game. First time visit for both of us and we thought it was a great experience. I had the Tortellini: "Chicken breast in a creamy pesto sauce with spinach and cheese filled tomato tortellini, goat cheese, basil, parmesan" It was most awesome. My partner had the Kobe Beef Lasagna: "Kobe bolognese, bechamel, homemade lasagna noodle, mozzarella, fresh ricotta, truffle oil, parmesan, basil" He loved his meal as well. I enjoyed the Paulaner Hefeweizen for desert....:) The only negative was the lighting. A bit dark for our tastes, difficult to read the menu but all in all a great visit.
Brittany Valencia-Fritsch
The food is amazing!!!! At first the menu was a tad overwhelming, however I am impressed with all the dishes we had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Maple Sota
I like the Brie Cheese Curds and Blueberry Ketchup. Innovative and Tasty. Thanks for being open during these critical times. You make a difference.
Debbie Mortensen
A very unique decor but very fitting. It's takes you on journey...every room is is filled with news of travel (I was told that). From the walls to ceiling there's a story. You have the center bar that's shaped like a ship with big busting mermaid at the bow. Theres something on Amelia Earhart plane, James Dean car and other-interesting historic stuff (Capone to Nixon). It's all about Newspaper. They had old press letter blocks built into tables, there big newspaper sculptures hanging from the ceiling.
Elsy Rodriguez
BEST butternut squash soup ever! The salmon almondine was phenomenal! Drinks were OK, and our waiter left a lot to be desired.
Joseph Cole
Great atmosphere. Breakfast was awesome.
John Wichmann
I did not eat here. I came in to watch the hockey game and they were totally accommodating. The vibe is great and the decor is really cool. Very friendly staff.
daniel kessler
Food was reasonably decent, but not as good as the prices would suggest. You're not going to get anything terrible, but you're not going to get blown away either. It's like an upscale Applebee's.
Abby Kerr
The food here is always very good, although when busy the service is a bit less than ideal. Otherwise, super nice wait staff and delicious food!
Mark GS
Service is good. Food is average to good.
Mo 1000
I came here around the Superbowl event and amazing service even with a full house my meal came in due time and was perfect. Great service excellent food. Would definitely refer this place to anyone visiting Minnesota.
Josh Rishavy (Rish)
Amazing wagyu burger. The best in Minneapolis. Sweet decor with a pirate shop bar and a mermaid at the bow. Must try
Clint Heitz
Very friendly service, excellent food, and such a cool atmosphere. So many good choices to eat and drink...I can't wait to come back.
Kimberly Rekrut
Awesome meal. The chicken wings are a good size and delicious. The lasagna is one of the best I've ever had.
Lynnette Muhich
Fabulous food and service. The atmosphere is fun. A great place for foodies. I cannot wait to go back and try other dishes.
Erick Martinez
It's an amazingly decorated and themed restaurant. The service was amazingly fast for how busy it was. The food was good, maybe a little greasy on the burgers. But it's worth going.
Scott
Good food and beer selection (although most are bottle). Outdoor seating on the Mall is a great time to people watch. Overall recommended.
Jennifer Hofherr
A menu with something for everyone and great service. The tortellini with pesto cream sauce was wonderful!
Brendon Mckeon
Great friendly staff. Very busy, but they still made sure to check in with us . Hope to go again next time we are down that way.
James Holevas
Burgers were great, various word service was splendid. Great atmosphere definitely come here again great place for burgers.
Jesse Rapp
Good food. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. But in now way a shoot of fire ball should cost more then a pint of summit beer.
Allen S. Harvey Jr.
I ate the News Room in Minneapolis, MN tonight. Wings were cooked well with lots of meat, but they were too hot for my liking (all hot sauce, little or no butter, but at least they had bleu cheese). My entree was a flatbread called "The Oinker". It had pesto, mozzerela, arugala, pepperocini, braised pork, apple vinigerette, and some other stuff. It sounded good, but tasted 'meh' at best. Razor thin would be too thick to describe the crust and it was very greasey. I chose poorly. :(
Otherwise, service was ok, atmosphere was ok, service was ok, prices seemed ok for what they were describing.
Gabby Brown
I loved the atmosphere and the food and drinks were good; alcoholic beverages were strong; but the service was pretty slow. We were waiting an hour for our entrees.
Graham Fischer
Good food and cocktails but prices are a little steep. Unique old décor fitting of the restaurant name. Service is nothing crazy but it's a good dinner or afternoon sandwich spot.
Aura Holmes
Wings are not good but a great place for pictures.
Kris Kreider
The food was great and the service was fantastic! Great atmosphere and a good place for a date. I really enjoyed my time here. Thanks!
erik maltby

Great drink selection, good food, and the service was top notch.
Cheryl Heitkamp
Small menu but great options for all types of eaters.
Andrea Linton
It's a fun place to grab a drink or two! Staff was friendly and the decor was unique.
Shell Martinez
Hip, modern decor. Wait staff incredibly friendly. My eggplant was a little rubbery but blackened chic wrap was tender and fresh!!
Anita Larson
Everything is good here.
Order a too shelf whiskey and watch the server climb the rigging! The bar is a boat and mast!
Aaron Chiodo
Great downtown locale, perfect for before a show.
Jeff Davies
I had some doubts about this place when I was reviewing the menu. I went with the tortellini and is was phenomenal. The service was top notch. I look forward to my next visit to Minneapolis and the News Room
Agne Vilkaitis
Great drink menu and nice dinner dish choices. Very spacious, and comfortable. Wonderful service and staff
Flo
Really cool newspaper theme restaurant in downtown Minneapolis. Every room is a different section of the paper. Food, drinks and staff are great. The chocolate martini 🍸 is potent! …

Bryan Hopkins
The Kobe burger with goat cheese and grilled onions and mushrooms is literally the best burger ever.
Kyle Torfin
The Brie Curds with blueberry sauce were delicious.
Doug Black
I ate there because they were open on Thanksgiving which is nice. The food was good but maybe a little over priced. The service was excellent and the building was very cool.
Karissa Eckert
Food was amazing, service was great. Neat atmosphere. Great selection of food, wine and beer.
George Magyar
Where I was on 9-11. Putting the planking on the ship bar. Just visited 20 yrs later Erie feeling. Great food enjoy 😉 …
Rachel
Very interesting combinations of food onto a snadwich, but very good. Prices are reasonable, but they forgot part of my order which took another 15 minutes to arrive
Mike Makes
Good drinks and food. I go there every time I have a night in Minneapolis.
Jian Feng Kong
Nice place and service.
Chris Jenkins
Great Food, Service, Atmosphere and Reasonable Pricing...I would be a regular here if I lived in Minn.....Soups, salads and pasta dishes good...I would avoid the reuben..as I thought the sweet taste (carmelized onions?) gave it an off-taste..The Pastrami seemed to have been shredded for some reason too..(make it tender)?..Wish I had gotten the club sandwich..wow...
Charlene Rineer
Fantastic food and fun classy atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Marshall Michelle Herman
When you discover the Midwest serves a beer chaser with your Bloody Mary, your day is made.
Kari Obey
The guacamole was very good. The fish tacos have wonderful sauce. The margarita was good but expensive, in my opinion.
Paul Kaefer
The Watermelon Feta salad was perfect for a sunny spring/summer day. Zesty, fresh, and flavorful.
Jeremiah Johnson
Nice menu that doesn't have the same boring stuff as everything in the neighborhood.
Try the specialty drinks. Good booze selection.
Steve Brecht
Absolutely wonderful food in a fun environment. Never too noisy, just a nice balance. Looking forward to my next visit to Minneapolis.
Joanna Lane
The Brie curds are soooo good! I've never had a bad meal here, one of my favorites!
Jacob Keelin
This is the greatest burger I’ve ever had in my entire life. I cried. I literally cried. Kobe burger with Brie and bacon.
Scott
Excellent food, decent service. A bit pricier than I would have thought based on the decor, but the food was really top notch and worth it.
Samantha Nolan
Very cool atmosphere and decor! Went for breakfast and it was good portion and tasty! Staff was very nice, definitely recommend!
Audrey Sparks
The Roasted Root salad was a perfect lunch of mixed sweet, sour, and savory flavors. The environment is quite entertaining.

Great food and atmosphere! However, our service was a bit slower than it should have been, as was the kitchen.
Allison Justin
Always an enjoyable time at the Newsroom! Love the decorations, and the fun mirrors in the bathroom :) Our friend group went to the Newsroom during the Final Four, and truly enjoyed our time!
Valerie Wassmer
Fabulous themed decor with a delicious drink menu.
Sue Chaney
Really good Cuban sandwich here and service was great! Nice looking patio but all the seats in the shade were taken so we ate inside.
Michael Temby
Staff is friendly and fastidious. Food is amazing. Kudos to our waitress Crystal. Great sevice.
Dan P
We ordered the chicken cordon bleu and shrimp linguine, amd both were great! The service was very good too! It was also a fun atmosphere.
Lauren Peabody
Expensive and hard to get to if you don’t live downtown, otherwise 5 stars. Get the Brie cheese curds if you want the perfect sweet/salty mix <3
Erik Westgard
Excellent service and great happy hour pricing. The flatbread was good. They had a nice beer selection.
Mary R
Such a unique and fun place. We went for a drink before dinner and sat at the bar shaped like a ship!
Highly recommend.
Mark Bobnick
Good food and attentive staff with unique fun atmosphere. 4 stars only because of how loud it was with 20+ tv's on. Hard to have a conversation at times.
Bruce Rodich
Pretty good restaurant and bar in a convenient Nicolette Mall location right across the street from WCCO with alfresco seating if you choose. Foods pretty good, wait staff is excellent.
Jorge Monroy
Food was amazing. Portions were generous, staff was attentive and the place is cozy and nice. Highly recommend.
Stewart Kramer
Pleasant spot, good for groups, especially with the outdoor seating
Robert Deeb
Food average, not worth the price. Service was also average. Would eat there again if I were in the area, not worth a separate trip.
Amy walker
Service upstairs is slow, can't speak to main dining floor. Food is mediocre American food, some inventive dishes like kobe lasagne but nothing stood out.
