Reviews of The Market At Malcolm Yards
Caleb Shaeffer
This is a happening spot for sure. All of the cool cities I go to have multiple spots like these. Multiple vendors for food and booze with a really slick operation. When you enter you get a card that is connected to your debit/credit card. You use this card at all the stands and they even have like 20 pour your beers that charges you by the ounce. Then when you leave you just drop off your card and ask for a receipt if you want one. Gratuity it included. Our table ordered from a lot of different spots and they were all good. My favorite spot was the pasta and ice cream. I would like to try the korean chicken next time. All in all this place is clean, well run, and pretty cool. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting or local.

Very cool concept. You will spend much more here than you would at a regular restaurant or brewery, however it is worth checking out at least once. Best with a group with individual tastes. Under 21 welcome. Pet friendly on patio. Bathrooms are clean. Food choices are plentiful with vegetarian and vegan options.
Lin Brown
Thought this place was alot of fun, really liked the concept! The burger/ice cream place was having an issue with their computer's that day. Also, the posted sign for one scoop was $6.50 but I got charged $9.45 for a waffle cone. That was outrageous! All other vendors were great 👍

As always - have been here a couple of times.
It’s always busy, and it’s bussin! When you enter you give them your credit card and they utilize that for their indoor card that can be used at any of the restaurants inside.
Has outdoor seating, and indoors has plenty but gets packed.
Lots of choices for food , although a bit pricey. We spent about $80 on (4 things) an ice cream, a birthday cake shake, fries and fried chicken.

One of the best places in the Twin Cities to bring a group of friends or family. You can’t go wrong. Tons of high quality food and drink vendors, well-maintained and managed. Be aware it can get crowded, but it’s a high churn rate. Been here twice now and left super satisfied each time.
Franki Kung
Very modern, popular, multicultural food haul. You connect credit card to a card usable there for food and drinks. Self service beer was fun and has many options. Both indoor and outdoor options. Great to go with a group and try different things!

This is a good place to hang out with bunch of friends. There are food outlets that are delicious to try out. I liked the food I tried, but the beer could have been better. I visited the place on a rainy day but outdoors looked perfect for a nice sunny day.
Nick LeRoy
I thought it was a fun experience. Poor your own beer (cost is per ounce and different per beer) and choose between 5+ food stations.
My wife and I had 2 beer/seltzers and the fries+cheese curds pictured below.
Fries were great but I’d pass on the curds. All the other food looked good. I’ll be back to try more of the options available.
Al Sesler
Wow! What a great spot! Myself and company enjoyed our time. The vibe is good. Many age groups. The food was very good many eating options lots of restaurants inside. Seating both indoor and outdoor.
Kaitlyn
What a neat place! Walk in and get a little card to use and pay for everything at the end. Has a wall of different beers to try, many different restaurants and ice cream! The character of the building is worth the visit in itself. I highly recommend if you’re a foodie, great way to try different foods.
Kimber Lina
Love, luv ,❤️ this place! Sara(with no H) and Clara are great! Very helpful! Definitely will be back! Must use a credit/debit card for all transactions, they give you a card for all purchases. Scan at each food/beverage location. On the way out “drop it(your pay card) like it’s hot” No need to sign anything or tip. Gratuity is included. Easy peasy. Variety of food and drinks for everyone. 👏🏻
Sadie Innis
Visited The Market with a group of 15+. Everyone found something to eat or drink, and several of us finished off with ice cream desserts. We ate outside and pulled together some tables.
When you first walk in, you’re required to authorize your debit card which opens a tab. After this you receive a FOB/card to carry around the building and scan when adding items to your bill. I was initially thrown off by this, but it was convenient and fast. They stated their pricing structure pays all staff a fair wage. You’re not given the ability to tip, rather prices felt higher.
One thing of note was that there was a staff member touching the raw pasta with their bare hands at Joey Meatballs.
Kevin Franklin
I'd live here if it were possible. The food choices are all mouth watering and the beer/wine/cider/mixed drink selection and delivery system is such a treat. I will make the journey from Milwaukee to Minneapolis once again to enjoy The Market.
Emma Schreifels
This is a very fun concept - great place to all-in-one go from dinner, to drinks, to dessert with friends. The mixed drinks I’ve gotten are super good (definitely try the Argentine Sour), and I like being able to choose between all the food vendors available. I wish there was a better seating strategy that would better emphasize the openness of the space, however, and the screens on the menus move slightly too fast haha
Smith Smith
My family and friends absolutely love this place. Outside there is a fantastic patio complete with chairs and fires to keep you warm. Walk on in and you are greeted to purchase your card to use all of the different dining and beverage options. We have tried every food stand but our favorites are the Italian place and Bebe Zito’s ice cream, well and of course the wall of beer, seltzer, wine! You can’t go wrong here, something for everyone as each food stand has their own specialty!
Brandon Karow
Great place to get really tasty food, drinks and ice cream! Perfect place for a date night or bring the kids! The mix and match options are endless! There is also a self service beer, wine, cider wall! Highly recommended!
Chase Nelson
The best thing about this food hall in comparison to others in the area is the way the purchasing works. You walk in and get a card linked to your credit card. Anything you buy from the separate vendors is billed later once you leave. You just drop your card and you're done, loved that concept. I just wish they had some unique vendors inside the hall. Most of them I've either seen or their food isn't anything different from anywhere else. I'm not sure why the city is obsessed with this food hall concept but they need to bring some new life into the cuisine presented.
Ann C
It is a fun place to check out. Good food options. Would be nice to have a few more gluten free options. Pour your own drinks is nice. Cool building and atmosphere.

We heard about this place from a friend who invited us to their soft opening about 2 months ago, but we weren't able to make it. After a long gym session, we decided we deserved some great food and The Market popped into my head. We weren't disappointed. We enjoyed dishes from 5 different vendors. Our favorites were definitely the Korean chicken sandwich, Asian Fries, and that luscious burger from Bebe Zitto. That burger looks unassuming, but its Dee-luscious!! This is a great place for food, drinks, fun, and everyone.
Tara Pereira
Love the concept and love the variety of food! We’ve tried the chicken momos at momo dosa (not pictured). They were pretty good, but we really wanted the mutton ones and they were out. We’ve also tried wrecktangle pizza and oh my gosh, it’s SO good. It doesn’t look like a lot but I ate 2 pieces and I was full. We got the shredder (1/2 jalapeños because I’m a wimp), and it was crispy and savory with a hint of sweetness from the honey. The pecorino on top was light and a surprising amount of flavor. I’m totally biased to cry baby Craig’s because it’s my all time favorite hot sauce, but it was the perfect combination of flavors. We’ve also tried Abang Yoli… multiple times. Their fried chicken is out of this world, and the Asian fries with the nori salt is so flavorful. Finally, the perfect sweet treat to finish off a great meal can be found at Bebe Zito. They have a variety of fun, interesting flavors and honestly their chocolate milk shake was exactly what I needed for a hangover. Love coming here and will definitely be back!

Cool place to hangout! This wasn't here when i was a student at the U of MN, TC so this was a cool touch. It is super busy (we went on a Saturday at 6pm) so expect big crowds. I love how organized the workers are and friendly everybody is. I got the korean spicy chicken sandwhich and some fries from a different booth. Personally, the chicken was too heavy for me and really messy to eat so expect a lot of napkins. It is good at the moment but it gave me a really upset stomach later. The fries were good as well! My partner got some sushi rolls and really liked it from Bagu. The beer I had was great. I wished they had more fruity and sour options instead of ipa but overall, good experience for the first time but expect a lot of greasy/heavy food. Total spent for my 2 hours for 2 person was $108
Nick Koons
Great food hall. Lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Plenty if food for the rest of the folks too. Love the idea of the self serve beer, cider, and wine taps. Easy to pick and choose your drinks. The Empanadas at DelSur were very good and the Wrecktangle pizza was also very good. If you have a group of people, it’s great because everyone has options and choices. It gets busy so we had to hunt down seating for a few minutes but otherwise it was good.
Jess
We tried food from 5 different spots here and all of it was fantastic. The chicken was still crispy leftover which says a lot. Abang Yoli is the real stand out spot for me
Brieana F
The best place for vegan options at the food hall is Advellum Vegetable Eatery! There are quite a few vegan options as is and a lot of vegan adaptable (VA on their menu) options as well!
There were also two vegan ice cream flavors at Bebe Zito. Vegan pizza options (not cheese tho) at Wrecktangle pizza. Momo Dosa had vegan dosa & Joey’s Meatballs had a pasta option that was vegan.
Advellum: I got the Gyro My Hero (made it vegan for no upcharge with herbivorous butcher’s smokey ribs) and it was delicious. My partner got the bowl lotta love & it was pretty good but quite spicy. The gal working said the wild boomer burger & the vegan nachos were her faves.
Great place to go if you’re eating & drinking with other people so you all have options!

What a fun and unique experience it was to visit The Market at Malcolm Yards!
I came here with my family from out of town, in an effort to provide a variety of options for different dietary needs. Everyone was able to find something they could eat, and we all enjoyed sharing and tasting the diverse dishes.
We did not know it was the UMN homecoming, and despite the large number of people in the market, service was actually quite quick and efficient. The staff were all so polite, friendly, and helpful!
I loved this place and would highly recommend it for the food as well as the unique atmosphere!
Tracey Mechefske
So cool!! Renovated, reclaimed building with restaurants lining every corridor. Ultra modern mixed with rustic charm. Pick up your yard card, visit the restaurants and drop the card off when finished. Your preferred mode of payment will be charged for what you bought.
Sophia Tran
The food was good and the Hydroponic Mojito tasted great! We liked the Malcolm Roll, Korean Fried Chicken, and fries. It is pretty pricey but fun for a first time experience, we spent about $80 on two drinks and two food items.
Caleb Zimmermann
Wow! This place is so much fun. We had a group event here. Everyone seemed to like the self serve beer, there were food options for everyone, and the atmosphere was awesome. It just has such a fun vibe. 100% you should go.
Arbin Shrestha
Interesting place with lots of variety of food and drinks. You get to pour you own beer. Pet friendly. Kid friendly. Drinks are ok but foods are bit pricier
Alexander Paulavec
Hip food court with a lively atmosphere. Plenty of food options and pour yourself beer system is cool. However, prices are higher then in restaurants with similar food. You give them your credit card and get a card to use for every vendor and asked to drop it off to a designated box in the end. That's convenient, but you don't get itemized receipt which is bizzare.
Pulkit Kashyap
Very cool place with multiple food options and great bars and tap beers. For a food court, the prices of the a bit high for the amount of food they serve. It’s not a fine dining place, very casual ambience with historic and vintage looking walls. Definitely a good hangout place.
Arlene Coco Buscombe
Wowsa this place is amazing! I loved all the choices and the free pour set up for beverages. I had the salmon burger and it did not disappoint, griddled perfectly not dry. The slaw was very tasty too.
Thomas Kent
Great place with lots of good eats, in a great location! Beer wall and bar. Wrecktangle is delicious and so is Bebe zito and great chicken from Abang Yoli!
Can’t wait for summer for the garage doors and patio to reopen!
Been for a few events as well only thing they need to work on is the sound system in the back area. Check it out!
Tanya Miller
We're so excited to discover the Market! You simply must try this place.
Our first time today and we will absolutely be back. They've clearly thought through the experience from the customer perspective, making it super easy to check in (only one tab!) and enjoy roaming the restaurants with an easy payment system.
The Benjamin Bacon from Advellum was this amazing combination of textures and flavors. Bebe Zito's burger was a simple smash patty style and very good. Cheese curds weren't what we expected, but they were their own tasty delight. The stars of the show were the bison dumplings from Momo Dosa - definitely add the spicy sauce (and then dip your cheese curds in it!)
There is plenty of clean and comfy seating and all the staff was super friendly, from the hosts to the restaurant servers and the awesome floor staff. Thank you to everyone who made this a fun experience!
Lovely Thao
Ample parking spaces; delicious local chefs creating delicious food. The self dispensing beer wall is cool. Check it out. A good place to grab a bite and go or sit down, chat and hang out.
Shivika Singal
Cool place to check out. But very expensive. No point getting drinks here, it’s a bit of a rip off. My hubby tried to get a glass of Prosecco and it was 30 bucks!! Turns out the machine was out. The manager was able to help us take the charge off, but we still paid like 13 bucks for a small glass of Prosecco. The facility itself is great and clean restrooms lots of place to sit and chill and of course lots of eating options for everyone’s needs.
Gabriella Malave Cortez
I absolutely loved this new spot!! They have great indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of parking space. The staff was really friendly and helpful. This is a food hall space with a variety of food options. The market is unique because when you walk in you are handed a white card (similar to a credit card) that functions as your payment method - you can use it to pay at all the restaurants and it also has a self serve bar area (good selection of crafted beers, ciders and hard seltzers) where you pour your own drinks.
I tried the garlic cheese sticks from Wrecktangle and they did not disappoint. They grate fresh parmesan on top and it is delicious. The staff was friendly and quick, I received a text when my order was ready. The homemade ranch was ok - tasted more like a dill sour cream, however their homemade marinara was excellent!
I would definitely come back and try some of the other vendors.
Ian Dees
Wow what a wonderful experience! Walk in and set up a tab at the front desk, then wander around and order food and drink from the 8+ different mini-kitchens throughout the space. We went and got three dishes from Wrecktangle pizza. It was pretty expensive but the portions were big and the food was very good. We got a breakfast pizza which I had a slice of and it will last me 3 more days as leftovers. We got the Caesar salad with chicken and the dressing and cheese worked very well together. The chicken was light and the whole dish worked well on this warm day. We also got the garlic bread and it included some pesto dust that perfectly compliments the garlic. The beer wall charges by the ounce so it's easy to try small amounts of lots of things. Definitely going back to try the other options!
Pete Blagoev
Very spacious, excellent variety of food vendors. There is a pour your own beer wall and a full bar as well. Great spot to hang out with friends and bring kids as well.
We've tried the food from a number of the vendors and all have been good. Can attest for the Empanadas, Burgers and fries, Fried chicken sandwich is amazing and huge, and Pasta.
Ruthie Elizabeth
fun concept — huge open space with food options for everyone. the card system is clunky and annoying, the bar serves pre-mixed cocktails that were a little off. The space itself is really cool though.
Corey Travel
Great place to eat and drink in this new food hall in Minneapolis close to Gopher football stadium. They spent some serious money remodeling this historic machine shop warehouse into a great spot for foodies. Lots of great options and variety of foods to please everyone in your group. I tried the Korean fried chicken sandwich (pictured). My only complaint was their mobile experience trying to click thru the different vendor options was really hard to navigate on my iPhone. Please make your mobile experience a lot more user friendly to view all the vendors. Cheers!
Bay Wilkinson
A really fun place. Lots of delicious food options. Pour your own beer, wine, and bubbles. A craft cocktail bar. This place has everything - including ambiance. My favorite of the open market concepts.

Went with my wife, niece (18), and three boys (12,9,5). The food was okay, but by far the highlight was the ice cream. Really, there isn’t any kid’s options in terms of kids sized food. I ordered one spaghetti and meatball at Joey’s Meatballs and 1 Wrecktangle pizza to split for my two youngest boys. I ordered a single plate of Spaghetti and Meatball for my 12 year old. My wife had two empanadas and I ordered the 2-piece chicken at the Korean counter. My niece ordered the Fried chicken sandwich. We ordered no drinks, but drank free water. Then ordered ice cream. Our total bill with taxes and hospitality charge came to $125.90. Fairly expensive considering we didn’t order any drinks.
What I disliked the most about Malcolm Yards is the card they give you that is linked to a credit or debit card of your choice. You then make purchases with this special card. Although I have never been on a cruise ship, I call this the “cruise ship” payment method. How convenient?! Everything is on one card so you don’t get multiple receipts and you just “put it on your tab”. I don’t like this. It’s modeled for “convenience”, but if you like to drink alcohol, I would be cautious. You can easily run a huge bill. Pretty much everyone is aware that restaurants make a lot of money off alcohol sales. It’s almost discriminatory to non drinkers like our family. I just think this payment method is pretty sleazy, but I suppose people find it easy and convenient. I don’t mind the 18% hospitality charge. There is a shortage of workers and people need to make a decent wage. No one forces a person to go out to eat.
Regarding the food taste and value…it was a little high. $15 for a 6-slice Detroit style cheese pizza. It was just okay. Could use a little more cheese. $14 for one plate of spaghetti and a huge meatball. I would have preferred more spaghetti noodles. So the price was a little high. I would estimate about 25% more than you would pay at a similar restaurant.
The bottom line is would my family go again to Malcolm Yards. Yes, but we would only take someone who has not been there before. It’s a fun atmosphere, but the price was high and we wouldn’t go there again for about 1-year or so or we would just go for the ice cream. I think there are better options at that price point.
Jeff Jensen
Upon entering they get you a purchase card, that is linked to a credit card. A bit on the spendy side for the food, but very tasty. Beer is reasonable at per ounce pricing. Great place to try beer for the cheap. Will definitely return.
Carl Lacey
Great experience at The Market at Malcom Yards. Great summertime atmosphere. It’s an upscale food court complete with an awesome patio, a beer wall, and a wide selection of food fit for any taste. bud..!
Amy Workman
Here's how it works: Right when you walk in there's a check in. You swipe/chip/tap a card which they attach to a different card they hand you. You use that to pay for everything. The diy tap pours, food, everything. Then you drop it in the box on your way out and they run your total later. I like it. No signing. No tipping on the card either, so there are some cash tip jars at some vendors.
We found seating pretty easily on a Saturday afternoon and had no waits despite it being pretty busy. A Fri/Sat evening I bet would be a little too crowded for my taste, but any other time it seemed really manageable. Good sized patio.
The self pour tap was interesting. Nice if you want to just sample some stuff.
Bebe Zito was our reason for coming and did not disappoint. The honey butter chips were unique and delicious, great burger, out of this world ice cream.
Overall like it! Pretty different experience than the other food halls in town. Maybe not always the hustle and bustle I'm in the mood for, but will be back. Malcom Yards service was great. Super pleasant and helpful staff.

Guess which is the best new restaurant in town??? It’s this one!! They have renovated an old factory into a new restaurant and I would call it a brilliant move. Splendid atmosphere. Spacious to occupy nearly 100+ people at a time. Variety of cuisine and delicious food and drinks.
Maria Linn-Evans
Really fun and well thought-out food hall! They have a single tab system which makes payment easy and quick. The variety of food options is great and the beer/wine wall made it easy to get drinks without having a long wait. There was plenty of seating indoors and outdoors which we really appreciated. I'm looking forward to going back to try some of the other restaurants!
Darrin Rogers
Very cool place. Large amount of indoor and outdoor seating space. Lots of options for food and drinks, unique and convenient payment system (don't lose your card!). Fun architecture and vibe. Fairly expensive in our opinion, craft drinks were $16+, most entrees were also around $16. Portions varied, the nachos probably weren't worth it. Overall I give the location, staff, system and environment a 5, the food and prices a 4 at best because of cost and none of us had anything that blew us away. Two of us couples each spent around $140 for an app, dinner and two drinks.
Shaune Misgen
This is an amazing place! The atmosphere, food diversity, so many choices so little stomach space! I will for sure go back!
Jean
Very nice food hall. Seems to have ample free parking and nice seating both inside and out. There are several eateries inside, a pour-yourself beer tap wall (with wine and seltzer, too), a full bar at one end with cocktails, wine, etc..., free water near the beer wall. Nice restrooms, too. Plenty of staff that clears tables, etc..
The food options are quite varied - from burgers to sushi.
Upon entering you receive a card that will be tied to your credit card. You use this to pay at any station you go to and they will add an 18% gratuity on top of the bill.
We enjoyed it - returning twice in one day. The food was delicious, staff quick and polite. Prices seem high all the way around and then add the gratuity on top of that, it's an expensive outing. For example, a cocktail is $15 plus the gratuity.
We will return, though, because it was so tasty and fun. The only thing missing would be a good coffee counter.
Mikky Daub
This was a super fun spot for birthday dinner with a group! It was packed on a Wednesday night. Plenty of food and drink options for everyone (thank you beer angels for saving all the poorly poured beers from disappointing anyone at the beer wall)! All of the staff was fun, helpful, and kind. Definitely check this place out!
Victoria
A unique food hall new to Minneapolis! First thing when you walk in is their cashless system. They run your credit card and give you a card served as an open tab to each vendor you go to. There were a variety of vendors with different cuisines. Wait time for our food ranged from 10 to 25 minutes. We came on a Saturday night and it was packed. We didn’t mind the wait. There was a wall for tap beer which was pretty neat. As far as seating goes, they had indoor and outdoor tables but all the tables were filled so we had to wait until groups left. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend coming here with friends!
Food ratings:
• Shredder from Wrecktangle Pizza (10/10, the honey was a very nice subtle touch)
• Korean Fried Chicken with their spicy gochujang sauce from Abang Yoli (7/10, too salty)
• Char Siu with ginger chicken rice from Abang Yoli (8/10)
• Negi Toro Hand Roll from Bagu Sushi (9/10, good ratio between fish, rice, and seaweed)
• Spicy Salmon Hand Roll from Bagu Sushi (9/10, really spicy! They added Thai chili peppers**)
• Spaghetti and Meatballs from Joey Meatballs (7/10, mediocre and they forgot to give us garlic bread)
• Cheeseburger from Bebe Zito (7/10, similar to a Shake Shack burger but still very delicious!
• Beef and Ham + Cheese Empanadas from Del Sur Empanadas (10/10, must try!)
• Chicken and Mutton (goat meat) soup dumplings from Momo Dosa (5/10, not soupy as described but it was flavorful)
Jerica George
Cool concept and food was good. Agreed that you will spend quite a bit here. Had the chicken momo and the single Bebe burger.
Cha Vang
I'm in food coma if that means anything. Empanadas were delicious. I had the beef, chorizo, mushroom, and caprese! The chicken burger from Abang Yoli and that was good, char siu pork was ok and it was super tender, probably won't get it again. Bagu sushi was good; nice cuts with the sake and otoro (super fatty and melt in your mouth) and they were both tasty! The Negi-toro was alright but with everything having starch/carbs I would just get the otoro for $10 more. Beer selection was great! I think there's something there for everyone. It was extremely busy for a Thursday night so expect not to find a lot of seating. A nice couple split a table with me and my cousin so that was mighty nice of them. Overall, I'd go again. There are a lot of choices to try and I didn't get to them all. Also staff wise, they were great, very polite and cleaned up tables pretty fast considering how busy it was.
Chris Hoppe
Our group of 20 foodies went here for a casual get-together. We sampled a wide variety of foods and beverages from the large food court, land beer/wine self-serve wall. Unique card system that tied all your purchases to one credit card total bill worked very well. Service was slow for my food due to the busy rush at dinnertime. The helpful employees at the tap-wall came in handy for those who hadn't been to a similar place before. The separate bar looked well stocked with premium refreshments and house cocktails. Good experience overall. I do plan to return again!
Emily Lu
The food tasted good, portion size is ok for most dishes, but wait time was over 30 mins on average. Most people went for drinks and it was hard to find a table on Saturday night. We had the deep pizza, honey butter chips, salmon sashimi, hand roll, chicken ssam and Asian fries. The deep dish pizza was the best, fried chicken was crispy and flavourful.
Abel
The 4 star is for comparison to other foodhall experience I've had in the twin cities area. Generally pretty cool concept with one payment card to access all food and drinks. There are plenty of food options in general, but none of them are a really "Must try". They did a good job in fixing up the place and it's generally pretty spacious as well.
Ahu Unlu
Speacial place. An old factory building was renovated and turned into a restaurant. You have a lot of choise. You take a member cards, you use it for order. When your order is prepared, you receive a message on your phone.
Navin Thakurdial
This is a fun place to go with a group. You walk in, hand your credit/debit card at the check-in kiosk, and receive a card you use to pay at any of the restaurants. Once you're done, you drop the card in a box and they charge your credit/debit card.
I went to Abang Yoli and got the chicken sandwich with spicy gochujang for about $13. It was fantastic! I also went to Bebe Zito and got the cheese curds for $4.50. They were excellent, but it felt a bit overpriced.
When you order, they take your phone number, text you a confirmation, and text you when your order is ready to pick up
They give you a wristband at check-in if you want to buy alcohol. There's a wall with a bunch of taps where you buy beer by the ounce. You can pour it yourself or they have a couple of attendants to do it for you.
Overall, it's a bit pricey but still a good time
Pat Hanzal
Enjoyed our time here. We each had a wine and I had a beer before we left. We shared a burger from Bebe Zito (a single) and a small charcuterie tray. Both items were very good. We did think it was fairly expensive. Our bill was $69.00. We would have appreciated an itemized bill when we closed our tab, but it was not provided.
randy huff
Tucked away pleasant surprise.
Many food options.
Very unique experience.
Busy and loud to the senses but, lots of outdoor seating in two separate areas of the building.
Bar style seating that faces outdoors, open during decent weather.
Phil B
Really neat dining/lounging experience with a plethora of food options, a self-serve beer wall, and a full bar. Wine is expensive and not available by the bottle. Really cool building. I'll probably go again.

I’ve been here a lot this past week. It’s a great meetup place for groups. I love the “pour your own” taps, the food is great & there’s plenty of out door seating & parking. Super friendly staff & excellent decor.
Gayle Stodden
Such an interesting place that has food and drinks for everyone to enjoy! Went with family and enjoyed walking around to find interesting things to try and you can even pour your own beers to try what you like!
Carol Tesmer
Variety of restaurants and easy set up in regard to buying food. They give you a single use card after swiping your debit/credit card to use in the "market" hall. Tried one beef empanada and one bbq chicken empanada from delsur empanadas and the "very good breakfast pizza" from wrecktangle pizza - both amazing. Wrecktangle had very unique items, crust was crisp yet the top was still soft and delicious. Really cool to check out when you can't decide on one food option.
sarah baube
Kinda expensive but nice atmosphere and plenty of space depending on the vibe you're feeling: booth seating, bar, outdoor.
Alex Pellegrineschi
I like this place, multiple food/drinks vendors in the same place. Average prices and good atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Brody Clemmer
What a cool concept. Loved this before heading to the Gophers game - the pizza was definitely my favorite even though the burger and ice cream was delicious. The beer wall was easy to navigate and the staff was super helpful!
santhi muniandy-deisch
This is a unique concept. You first check in and they give you a card that connect to your credit card. This way you only have one transaction if you are ordering food from multiple vendors. Tips/service charge is already included so no need to worry about tipping. Which makes the food a bit pricey. It is a high end food court. My son and I went there on a Sunday so it was busy and loud but there are outdoor seating. I ordered from Momo Dosa and had the curry leaf dosa, chicken momo with sambar. Indian food runs in my blood, I grew up eating Indian food everyday. I would say their dosa is quite good, close to what you would get at at a typical Indian restaurant. Their momo is delicious and so were the tomato and mint chutneys. Their sambar on the other hand was disappointed. It was sweet for some odd reason and to diluted. My son ordered from Abang Yoli. They claim to serve Korean and Malaysian food but there was only one item (char siew pork). We tired the grilled Korea chicken with gochujan sauce and kimchi. The chicken was tad undercooked and not much flavor. I would try the fried next time. Gochujan was not spicy, catered to the Amercan palate. They need more variety, and ample free parking.

I visited this place today with my wife and two young kids. It's an interesting concept I had never experienced before. The place has a number of dining option inside and beer tap "wall". you could say it's a fancy food court. When you enter you have to get a card which gets linked to your credit card. You then use this card to pay for everything. When you're done you have to make sure you return the card or else... I'm not sure what happens. The food and ice cream we had was good. The place was super crowded and loud and we couldn't find an tables and so we ate outside. The seating arrangements outside was not great for dining. Not an ideal place for young kids. Maybe when it is not so crowded it maybe ok.
CJ
The Market is defintely a cool establishment with a variety of places to eat at. The overall design inside and out is classy. It definitely feels more like a hipster place with much higher than normal prices. There is parking in front and in the back but it does feel a bit hectic if it is busy. I'm not sure how much parking is in the back but the front lot was fairly small.
I ordered food from Momo Dosa and I tried the Bison Momo. I had seen that the portion sizes weren't that big in other reviews but for almost 17$ after tax and their extra fee, it felt like a highway robbery! It felt more like a quick snack then anything. The sauces were probably the thing that stood out most to me. Both the red and green were extremely flavorful. They were so good that I could've drank them. The dumplings leave a little to be desired. They were a little more chewy than I am used to and I didn't notice any filling when eating them whatsoever. I would say they were just okay but not something I would order again due to the value to flavor ratio being off. I don't mind paying a higher price if it totally blows me away but these weren't something that struck me as the best dumplings I have ever ate.
S Nelson
Love the concept of this place. It took a little getting used to how to order food, but the selection of foods were fantastic and the staff was friendly and helpful. I was a little skeptical of their batched cocktails, but they were surprising good. I’d love to see a bit more outdoor seating, but otherwise a great place. We will be back.
Phillipe P.
Several vendors inside uní can choose from…. Argentinian, Korean, Pizza, Burgers & more! They have a tap system where you can pour your own beer, pay ahead
Kris Brockman
This place is so fun! Families, couples, work associates, you name it can enjoy this place. There is a ton of choices. Everything was awesome. Including the service. There is even a big room with big family style tables.
Carolina Margaria
Fantastic food hall. There is literally an option for everyone and you cannot go wrong.
Del Sur is there with their authentic and delicious Argentine food, but you also have a full bar, sushi, fried chicken, burgers, indian, pizza, Bebe Zito Ice cream, pasta, and much more. All of the restaurants there are great. Finally an answer to the debate of what to get for dinner!
Tour Monde
great concept & fun selection of international cuisine - we got the Momo dumplings - hadn't seen them since our trip to Kashmir - the dosa was great (so was the price = $10) you'll need a credit card with lots of room on it - everything is pricey -
Peter Griffin
Really fun concept it had lots of different varieties of food to choose from, a bar for mixed drinks, ice cream, and a self serve beer wall. You give them your credit card in the beginning and they give you a plastic card that you use to buy everything in the building. A surprisingly big and spacious building. It was really busy when we visited, but we had no problem finding a spot to sit.
Alexa Bobyak
Awesome vibe & atmosphere. Lots of spaces to sit (inside and outside). All of the food was delicious and there was plenty of variety! The beer wall was very expensive - I had a $10 pint of selfserve beer.
The Whole World
The Market is a real sweet place to eat. Highlights include the multitude of options, fresh ingredients, good drinks, and simple yet futuristic ordering / payment method. However - it is hard to have a filling meal with just one course despite the price, and it can often be a rather loud atmosphere. Beautiful interior and outside seating make it a must try especially if you are looking for a wide variety of options in a single location.

Super cool hip place. NO CASH. You signed in at the from desk and they give you this card to keep tabs on each place you get food from. Each little place is a different restaurant, lots of exotic food and great selection. Outdoor and indoor seating. Overall great experience! We had the Argentinian food and the staff was incredibly nice!
Haleigh Duncan
Malcom Yards is a train of delight after delight. It has an awesome atmosphere and the people have a great energy. They have a unique card system that encourages you to sample from as many vendors as you want, with some of the Twin Cities' very best and brightest restauranteurs, including my all-time favorite Bebe Zito.
I have a new undying loyalty to Joey Meatballs, Boxcar, Del Sur, and Abang Yoli. In one night, you can try an Argentine cocktail, alfajores, dosas, raspberry key lime hand pies, an amazing and shockingly cheap selection of self-serving beer and wine ($2.50 for a pint of Grainbelt BLU!!), and so, so much more.
There's tons of parking and seating. It's a very convenient eating experience- you could spend hours here with friends OR stop by for a speedy solo 15min meal.
Stop by! You will not regret it! Perfect for date night, family night, a day out with friends-- any occasion!
Anna Cobus
Such an amazing building and great food! Love the history of the space and the atmosphere! The open market is such a great spot to meet people and socialize and have a good time.
Nick Bukosky
I really enjoy this place, lots of great options for food. Its fun with a group of people as everyone can do their own thing(s) and you can also share and try other things.
Couple things:
-There is parking in the back lot. A lot more than the few spots up front. It does fill up so sometimes you have to get creative :)
-The back room is VERY noisy, if you're in a small group and just trying to chat and catch up, this room isn't ideal.
-It can get very busy so be prepared to sit next to people. Also its a good idea to find a place to sit with your party and then go get food.
-Food can have a wait, if you want pizza for example get it ordered and be prepared to wait.
-Things can get pricey so just be aware and ready for that.
Benjamin Brummel
I love the open market concept. It's a fun way to experience a variety of food and drink. I'm happy to have a market in Prospect Park. It's much smaller than the nearby Midtown Global Market, but it's certainly a nice spot. The one drawback is the card system and priciness. You open a tab using one of their custom cards, which can be used freely within the market. An 18% gratuity is automatically applied when you inevitably forget to turn your card back in to close your tab. I spent $15 on 6 dumplings, which although admittedly delicious, was more than I expected.
Panouchi
A great place for family and friends to have lunch, birthdays, or just to hangout.
The food was good and drinks from the bar was good, as well as their beer selection.
Jill Barrette
The Market at Malcolm Yards is a fun and really unique dining experience for the area, and offers a great variety of food options. I thought that the card system for paying was really handy for trying a variety of food options, and I think that it would be a great experience with a larger group of people. The food and numerous restaurant offerings are really great, but I did think some of the restaurants ran a bit pricey for the serving. Likewise, some of the lines were really long, and I recall waiting close to 30 minutes to order a milkshake because there was only one person running the shop. It did not seem to help that just about everyone in line was clueless as to what they wanted to order when they got to the counter because the sign with the ice cream options was fairly out of the way and difficult to see. The market’s system for dispensing beer is really neat, but the number one complaint that my brother and I shared was the major lack of non-alcoholic beverages available throughout the market. We were only able to find a few canned soft drinks, and no non-carbonated options other than water. All things considered, the food was really good, and I would still suggest someone check it out that has not been before.
Paul
Fun place to go and try different things to eat. Parking is easy. Just go in knowing that it is expensive to eat and drink there.
Sasha Williams
The chicken sandwich and vegan ribs were delicious! Can't wait to go back!
Reed Osell
Friends and family night was an awesome success for Malcolm Yards. The variety of vendors and their care and skill that goes into their dishes is awesome. The self pour beer wall, and full service bar with craft cocktails is a perfect addition to the food being served. Well done!
Bill Harz
Pretty awesome place to grab a beer and a bite to eat. As indicated by the name it’s a market/cafeteria style place where there’s a bunch of restaurants to choose from and a pour your own beer wall. You just pick up a card and use that at any of the stations and the drink wall. You drop it off when you’re done and you get an e-receipt. All in all a cool place to stop into especially if you’ve got a group and everyone feels like something else to eat!
Will Bryan
I absolutely love this place. It's the first place I've been in a few years that just felt normal. So much diversity, nobody acting a fool. Seniors, college kids, and everything in between. Great energy, great people, great food and drink choices. Beautiful, spacious. Very important: plenty of free, nearby parking.
Eric Buck
I came here with a coworker late on a Monday night. We got the square pizza (ball 'til ya fall), Korean fried chicken with gochujang, and empanadas (mushroom, pork belly breakfast, and bbq chicken). All were excellent. The pork belly breakfast empanada was our favorite empanada.
There was plenty of seating, staff was nice, and the atmosphere was chill. Plenty of beer options - don't miss the good cider and seltzer options on the sides of the beer tap wall.
Ron Olson
Very interesting place. Had a good time. Lots of food and drink options along with ice cream
Aleksandra Jeffrey
Super cool place! Love how there are different restaurants that you can try! Good place to have a group. The food was great too. And if you like beer there is a self pour wall, and wine too.
One thing I would suggest tho, is maybe having the cooks wear hats or hair nets, the only thing I noticed.
All in all this place is 100! Love that there is something like this nearby!
Ryan Guilbert
Extremely cool set up! Lots of options. Prices were a bit on the higher end, but the quality of word was very satisfying. I'll definitely be back. The beer/wine wall is insanely priced, IMO, especially since one has to pour their own.
Ini Augustine
It's a cool atmosphere with lots of great food choices from different vendors. It is annoying that they make you use a special card that they attach to your debit card. If you forget to turn it in, they charge you. But then when you turn it in, there's basically a copy of your debit card with them. So for security concerns, I won't be back. Food was good though.
kurt eismann
What a fun place. Went there for dinner with daughters and had a great time. Indoor and outdoor seating. Give them a CC when u walk in and get a white card to go to any food service there. Poor your own beer and wine also.
Keenan Olson
People often say that a place has "something for everyone". Well this place ACTUALLY does. Probably one of the top 5 burgers in town. Best cheese curds ever. Both at the ice cream place Bebe Zitos. Fantastic pizza, empenadas, dumplings, Korean fried chicken sandwiches, and many more things from different restaurants. You also get to pour your own beer (usually about 10-12 options) from the tap. This place is great for dates, or large groups. It's my number one choice for lunch every time if I'm in that area and even sometimes if I'm not.
Meechi5000 Jackson
Depending your wallet. This place is expensive, but definitely worth the money. Try the truffle butter pasta, with noodles and sausage.
Edward Brunton
Macloom yards is an interesting concept. You get one card that orders from several different places - no tip is necessary and is covered as part of the price. Your card also let's you pour you own beers and wines, being charged by the ounce. So, at the heart of it, it is an upscale food court. I got a Cuban sandwich from Sun Day while here and it was well prepared. Seating was extremely hard to come by so try to avoid peak times if you can.
Chris Valenty
Abang Yoli has the best fried chicken sandwich in Minneapolis! Both sauces are really tasty, spicy gochujang or sesame ginger garlic!
Matthew Amundson
I truly love this place because it's a great concept done pretty well. The variety of food options, the beautiful space, and the full bar make it enjoyable. My only qualms come from the fact that it's a really tight space...I've often had trouble finding a spot to sit and maneuver the lines of people. That being said, I will continue to patronize this place!
David gandrud
An adult cafeteria. Full bar. Lots of neer on tap. Exceptional food choices. and lots of seatung choices. New pregame hangout!
Eugene Crandall
So, you don't know what you want to eat? Well, your in luck here, enough to choose from to satisfy any one! Restored old whare house cool! Lots of room,
Gary Kelner
Good food and awesome atmosphere. The payment method of tapping the card works really well. I would gladly go back.
J Fro
Really fun concept that is perfect for a happy hour or casual date. Variety of different cuisines and delicious food. Beer wall with about a dozen options. Only complaints are that some areas can get very crowded and a lot of the food is expensive.
Cecilia Hauer
The idea seems pretty cool, not sure how loud can get there to hangout in the winter the taps can be tricky if you don't pay attention after pouring make sure they stop fully or they keep running and charging your card. Great selection on the different food choices.
Paula Weakly
Food from Momo Dosa was good. A glass of wine at $15 was WAY overpriced. All places have a sign that in lieu of tipping, an 18% service fee is added, but it also says per MN law they are informing you it's not a gratuity and doesn't go to the servers. Which is fine, it's all counter service, and you wait for a text on your phone to tell you it's ready. But despite no one accepting cash, they all have tip jars out with cash in them. 4 stars for food because wine was overpriced. 4 stars for service for cashless and super awkward no tipping but tip situation. 4 stars for ambiance because it was loud and kind of confusing. The holiday market was cute and had a variety of vendors.
Stephan L K
A fantastic array of food options. The quality of the fried chicken sandwich at Abang Yoli has gone down a bit. A bit dry on the inside.
Sam Wright
Super interesting and cool dining experience. The Al La Cart style dining is a great idea. If I lived in the area I would be spending a fair amount of time here - particularly due to Bebe Zito's presence in the building.
Kathleen Nelson
We attended a work party here. Interesting building! Nice facilities. But LOUD. If you’re interested in conversation, this is not for you. I was disappointed we didn’t get to sample all the eateries there. The company chose Joey Meatballs, which offered two kinds of pasta, two kinds of sauces and meatballs the size of your fist. To be blunt, I would not recommend Joey Meatballs. So the 4 stars are for the entire premises and I’ll review Joey Meatballs separately.
Jamie Cook
Great variety of delicious foods and an excellent selection on the tap wall.
Todd Jelinski
I absolutely love this place!! This I believe was my fourth visit. I love the atmosphere! So cool!! Great vibe!! Great service by all staff and all vendors!! The variety of food options is amazing. I have enjoyed something different every time. This time I tried the Argentina food vendor Del Sur, having had the Milanesa sandwich and side of fries along with a sweet beef empanada. It was so very, very good! Flavorful!! I would highly recommend!! Had such a great time I can't wait to visit again and once again try something different!!
Ma Za
A bit on the spendy side but nonetheless a fun experience and cool concept that works…you have multiple food choices to choose from. I had the gnocchi with meat sauce from the Italian station and it was delicious. Theres even ice cream and shakes for desert. Im not totally on board with 18% tipping though added to your bill - there is no one serving you . Leaving a cash tip for people that clean tables is more appropriate i think. We will come again
Danelle
This place is a unique experience. You enter and 'start a tab' by using a credit or debit card. They give you a card you may use to pay at the different 'stations' in the food court. They have self service beer and wine. They also have a bar. I ordered one drink. They didn't have any prices listed at all. It was a mixed drink and nothing special. It turns out the drinks are premade in batches. For the one drink I was charged $19.51. We sat outside in a lovely deck area at picnic tables with umbrellas. It got very busy as the evening progressed. For the food we had empanadas, charcuterie board, cheesey garlic bread, burgers, cheese curds. The food was good and we had plenty of options. There is no table service. Make sure you return your card at the end of stay or they charge $2.
Chris Gapinski
Good food and drinks. It was crazy busy so wait times were too much and it costs a bit too much in my opinion. Beer selection was great.
Lee Williams
They add a 18.5% charge to your bill without telling you when you arrive. A but audacious given you pour your own beers?
Just tell people when they check in they’ll have an almost 20% tax added to their bill so they can spend accordingly.
Soleil
Wonderful staff, very accommodating of my allergies even during a large and busy event. The food portions were large and delicious. Clean bathrooms and a wonderful space overall. I definitely recommend!
Bella Bee
Fun concept and atmosphere. Also great if you have a group as folks can get whatever they want. However as an ipa fan they tend to be really heavy on hazys which isn’t my fave. When it comes to cocktails I question if anyone back there has cocktail/bartending experience. Like don’t know some of the basics. Do not get an old fashion here.
Erica Riehm
Awesome experience. The building is incredible. It offers a lot of space and they have a large variety of food and drink options. Great forca large group because there is something for everyone. The breakfast pizza from wrecktangle pizza and the sweet corn empanada from Del Sol were both delicious!
Matt Lehner
This should be a 5 star. Food was top notch. Sushi was amazing, burgers were tasty, the mixed drinks were good but not great. The only reason this doesn't get a five star, the person who helped us right when we came in to get our cards was awful and rude. She had red hair and was snapping at us. Clearly we are new customers based on our questions about the meal cards. Instead of answering our questions in a polite way she just snapped at us repeating the same line over and over again. We all have rough days, but if you know your attitude is not right, dont work the front. I didnt let this stop me from having a good time though, and I hope to come back soon with friends/family.
Update: Came back to Malcolm to have the sushi which was still amazing! I still ran into the same lady who was still extremely rude. She really should not be running the front. Its the first interaction with a person and it really spoils the mood. She needs some people training.
Megan Strehlke
I have been to Market at Malcom Yards before and had good experiences, however the last time I went was a frustrating experience. I was trying to get a glass of rose from the tap wall. I opened the tap and a few drops of wine barely sputtered out and the screen said the keg was empty, but it had somehow racked up $50. I asked for help in the moment but the person did not know what they were doing. I ended up not getting any wine but got charged the $50. I have tried emailing, filling out the contact form on their website, and leaving a voicemail to get this resolved, with no response from their team.
Edit: This issue was finally resolved after my boyfriend also filled out their contact form on their website. I do enjoy the food and setting of Market at Malcom Yards so I increased from one star to four stars. However, beware of the tap wall, it can rack up charges quickly, especially if a keg is tapped.
Jane Choi
I would recommend this place. A lot of tasty food. One caveat is there is a service charge, be prepared for that. I like the card system, it is fast and convenient to have that. The variety of food is great. I especially liked the pizza, empanadas and abang yoli. I am going to come back for more
Jason Eiden-Giel
Had an amazing afternoon today! Top 10 MN weather day and awesome food. The fried Korean chicken at Abang Yoli is AMAZING. Also loved the Asian fries, supreme pizza, and truffle ricotta gnocchi.
David Berggren
I just wasn't a fan. Place was crazy busy, took us probably 20 minutes to find a table much less order food. There is quite a variety of food to choose from just the whole atmosphere threw me, my wife was more of a fan.
Jeffrey Carlson
New venue. Kind of a cafeteria food court coffee shop bar atmosphere. Very pricey with a mandatory gratuity of 19% and then the state taxes you on the gratuity/fee. It probably will have a short lifespan, from a short lifespan senior.
Michael Skillrud
Good food. Decent value. Good beer selection. Not the best for a bigger group gathering (such as eight), as room noise is a bit loud.
Mai Yer Xiong
Points for the vibes and different options of food but the bar really needs work. You really need to hire a legit bartender not one who ask me what the main alcohol is nor looking up on the recipe in front of me on there phone. In the end the drinks were terrible.
Jess
I love Market at Malcolm Yards. Drinks are good, food is good, ambience is good. It's a little spendy but it's a unique experience and you're paying small businesses for delish food and drinks. Highly recommend!
Kim Hayes
What an amazing visit, the space is beautiful, tons of variety in food and the craft cocktails were well done! Highly recommend for a fun night out.
Brandon Kotek
The concept is neat and the self pour beverages are a good deal. It can get a bit expensive too so be mindful of that.
As for the food it was ok. The Korean style fried chicken at abang yoli is very greasy and didn't mix well with the Asian mayo.
If it's busy parking is a headache. If you can bike that's how I would recommend getting there.
Marissa Stromback
This place is great! There is a food option for everyone, and you can partake in many different cuisines! Great for a work outing since there is something for everyone!
DI Morgan
Urban Industrial Funk (funkurstrial?) (Urbustrifunk?) Great use of former industrial space to house trendy food court with unique, authentic and delish international flavors, from Indian to Italian to Thai to Greek to good ol' American. Don't miss the wall of local craft beers and ales as well! Digital pay by card only, registered at entry in exchange for an exclusive card for use while in the Yard (may sound confusing, but try it...Simple, fast, accurate! Just visiting, but I'll be back next trip to Minneapolis!!
Missy Isles
This place rules! We stopped to get some Bebe Zito ice cream, but we will definitely be back! So many cool places to eat and drink.
E
Nice variety of food but most of it is a low quality version of whatever the dish is. Food is expensive for what it is too. The vibe of the place is pretty good though.
Devon & Brian Letofsky-Peterson-Strand
We hate an Elote Pizza I think it was called from Wrecktangular Pizza (sorry if I got the spelling wrong lol) and two malts and fries from the American per se spot. Everything was rly good but prices are a bit high for what u get… Oh and where we got the fries - wish they were homemade instead they’re like “McDonald’s fries.” The one guy who works there said that and he was spot on. Lol
Adam Ramroop
Best place ever. Good selection of food and almost unlimited drinks on tap to help you make poor life choices.
Grant Stephens
Cool concept and fun atmosphere, I find it a bit sneaky they don’t tell you they are adding a 19% service fee when you’re pouring your own beer?
Amie Kranz
Love this concept - excellent food and variety in a great space. Highly recommend for dates and gathering especially when you’re indecisive.
Noah Raisanen
Fun spot. Plenty of selection for food and drinks. Super easily spend $50 on just yourself. Be careful.
Roc Communications
Great options. Needs a bit of fresh air on some restaurants that do not perform like the rest.
Is a great concept with lots of room to grow
Robert Hillestad
I met a friend for a drink. I did not eat.
It is loud when it is busy. Nice place.
Andrew Leaf
The shredder pizza was delicious, but plan on skiing at least 20k if you want to successfully crush a whole one.
Sydney Bieringer
This is a super cool place that has something for everyone. It is so busy here and can feel a bit overwhelming but once you find a table it get better. I really enjoyed my food here and found it was a good way to try things and share food with people. They have a good variety of options and a good system with the card that you get in the beginning and use to pay at every restaurant.
Andy Chrastek
Too noisy for most little kids but plenty of tasty options for everyone. Clearly marked dietary choices of necessary. Comfy couch was great! Good selection of beer, cider and wine. Plus a rather fine cocktail bar.🍸🍹
Erik Westgard
Think hipster food trucks with no trucks. Not cheap. But lots of selections. Good.
Nick Klemetson
This was a very interesting and unique experience. You check in at a central station, they give you a card, and you use the card to order food at a variety of vendors throughout the hall. There was a great variety of small-batch, farm-to-table style offerings, very multicultural and creative fare. The vibe is definitely... 'hipster'... I guess... not that there's anything wrong with that. It's a bit intimidating to a new person, but everything I ate and drank was fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Shawn Laibly
Phenominal venue. So close to campus. The variety of food is amazung. Excellent craft draft beers. Service is friendly and pretty efficient.
Elijah Steinbauer
Fun place to eat with a lot of options. They had some great gluten free options.
Reapentant
Great place for a casual business lunch! Despite being right off University Ave near the U of M campus, it somehow feels just off the beaten path enough to be a hidden gem. The feel inside is casual, but classy, with a wide range of individually unique food vendors sporting everything from Korean style chicken, meatballs with pasta, gourmet burgers and pizza, to Nepalese potstickers and crepes. In the midst of it all, there's an entire wall of self-pour beer, wine, and ciders on tap and a bar off to the side. Our group met in a semi-private separate banquet room, but there was also ample seating in the main dining area and an outdoor patio. The entrees are semi-upscale, so expect to pay $15 - $25 per plate not including drinks, but eating there supports local restaurant innovators and community based culture. If you need somewhere with a local feel and trendy flair to entertain clients or talk business over a few brews, this would be a great spot to try.
Tris W
Everything we tried was great! You can walk up to a wall and get hard cider for yourself from a tap! Best fried chicken I ever tasted and best ice cream too. Atmosphere is awesome. Vegetarian options. So good!
Anthony Harrington
So far it's been okay. We have gone twice and found both times to be very much on the pricey side for what you get. The first time we had pasta and that was delicious and fulfilling! This last time was a let down for my meal at least. Got a double burger and cheese curds from bebe burger. Cheese curds were heavily overpriced for the small amount, maybe 8 cheese curds in the tub for 5 bucks and they were small. Burger was good but nothing special. Going to try there one more time but for the two meals we got with drink spent over 60 bucks. Insane for that and the atmosphere isn't any better than a nice sit-down.
I have a hard time staring this place.. because it's all over the place.
Cynthia Farley
Elbow to elbow,, no place to sit or stand.. Lot's of eateries, beer ,cocktails, food for every palate. So Crowded , we could not enjoy.
Tor Hanson
The food, drinks, and environment were terrific! I had the mumbai mule and the Korean fried chicken sandwich which were both excellent. The drink had additional spices added to a typical mule which added a great kick to the drink. The Korean fried chicken was crispy and hot with a savory combination of sauces paired with cucumber and tomato slices which all complimented the chicken sandwich wonderfully. All in all the mood was lively prompting great company and conversation 10/10
Frankie MacGregor
Not my scene. Very noisy; chaotic environment. I went because I wanted empanadas from Del Sur, but they were closed. I got Slammin Salmon from the veggie place, and Dulcinea ice cream from Bebé Zito. Both were okay, nothing special.
Latisha “Hungry Hiker Hodgepodge” M
What a cool atmosphere. Looks to be some amazing food options. This was my first time here and I really enjoy the set up, but was a bit sad at the cost of my burger for how small it was and it didn't come with french fries or anything. It felt like I got a $2 Wendy's burger for $13. It did taste good so that made me happy. I will definitely be back to try again. Thanks!
Barnetta Johnson
Omg you have to go here, best time every time.
They have a dozen restaurants working together including a restaurant of ice cream
Everything is fresh, you get inside or outside or many different sections or just wander about trying everything. I love it. Also full bar, lots of great staff, and take out, dine in.
Great fire circle outside and cool natural outdoor dining. Ready for anything because it's right down the street from the Surly Brewery Event Center, another great place.
The ultimate interactive good time, casual and hip
Jerry Robertson
A really cool place to hang out for food and drinks. A couple of different sections to hang out including a couple of outdoor seating areas. Each section with a bit of a different vibe.
Lots of food selections. Sushi spot was the only one I tried and it was good.
Both a craft beer tap line and a counter bar for mixed drinks. The House Margarita with jalapeño was good.
We will be back for sure.
Jared Kolle
One of a kind venue. If you enjoy eating food and drinking beer then this is the place for you. The only downside is trying to find seating when busy.
Josh Zignego
A cool market with plenty of food and beverage selections. We got pizza, empanadas, and beers
Laura Farvour
Gorgeous aesthetic and community feeling creates a unique and attractive atmosphere in the developing manufacturing spaces near the rail yard that have so long given their service to industry.
Now these buildings are serving community and creating space for eating, drinking, and enjoying our beautiful city together. Really happy I decided to check out this gem hidden a few blocks off of University Ave.
Mindy Zea
Really really good food. Had the Korean fried chicken, the beet salad, and a cheeseburger. All so good. Can't wait to go back.
Billy L
This place is awesome! Expensive... but awesome! The set up is really cool and the food is amazing! There are 8 or 9 different restaurants inside this place and everything we had was great! They have everything from burgers to pizza to pasta to chicken to sushi etc... the alcohol choices are really great too! We will definitely be coming back!
Hanevy White
Great place if you are with a group and everyone wants something different. A little expensive but it was tasty. We had pizza, choripan and ice cream. The only negative is the M card, they make register and use their M card to pay. Don't understand the benefits to the customer. The girl at the pizza shop was very rude but the one at the ice cream shop was so nice and friendly.
Hon Ki Cheung
I went there for Momo and the dumplings are nicely done with a hint of south Asian flavor. The mango lassi is tiny but the flavor is really good. My colleagues also enjoyed really good food there. The beer wall looks very appealing, but I'd comment that the food variety is quite greasy in general. As I wasn't feeling too well that day, I basically had to choose between sushi and momos, or perhaps pasta that I could not really fully enjoy at the time. The price is also on the high side as well.
Eric Colón
Had a great visit during their soft open I can back with my classmates. They have a great variety of drinks and food. Im vegitarian and there were a good about of options for me. Great patio space and love how they kept the character of the building. Overall I would suggest this to anyone. From families to date night.
Erin Alyse
This is an amazing place. The beer wall has a decent amount of choices and if you don't know how to pour a beer, friendly staff are on hand to help. There are a lot of food options as well (the fried chicken sandwich is incredible!). Downsides are that this place can fill up quickly, so there can be long wait times for ordering/receiving food, and it's a bit pricey. Otherwise, this is a great place to go with friends or family, and have some drinks and good food.
Nima Ahmadi
The whole market is also an awesome concept. Excited to come back and try more food stalls but from our first experience tasting things:
MOMO DOSA IS FIRE — get the curry leaf Dosa with coconut and tomato chutneys on the side! Maybe just do yourself a favor and get two, so you don’t have to get up and order another one.
On first pass, I wish they had more non alcoholic / virgin cocktails freshly made — their cool restaurant themed cocktails are all pre-mix so they can’t make those virgin. Would be great to just not pour the spirit and still have a fun, artisan drink that’s not lemonade or kombucha when you don’t feel like drinking
Dan Mason
Tons of great food options, just about anything you'd want to eat or drink is available here. Unique and convenient payment system it eliminates a lot of the hassle and delays of credit cards.
Amber Crowley
Very awesome food hall. It was the best experience. If you cannot find something you like you do not deserve to eat or drink.
Dima Shchegolev
This place is awesome. Great food, awesome atmosphere. Many food choices. I had the Korean chicken, chorizo enchiladas, cauliflower from the Korean place and ice cream (which is smooth and creamy)
Michael Brown
Great concept! Nice to see up and coming chefs highlight their foods along side a great bar
Eric Doise
Great concept with all the vendor options. The card you get when you enter that keeps track of all your purchases is a great idea: very convenient. However, all the food we tried was just fine, a little underwhelming. Also, if you're with someone with noise sensitivities or who doesn't hear well, the noise inside will be a problem. I also hate that you have to download something to use the free WiFi.
Kanak Patel
More on the expensive side, but highly recommend. Plenty of great food and drinks to choose from. Fantastic staff. A great place for a first date or hanging out with a group of friends.
Sammy Nyquist
Awesome food and concept. It was super busy and hard to find a table, but the atmosphere is great, will be returning!
Brenda Pike
Several cuisines and menus to choose from, all contemporary and delicious. Beer vending kiosks.
Mike Nelson
Very neat food hall. The self service beer and wine was pretty cool.
siewchung wong
Nice food hall. Lots of food and drinks option from burgers to pizzas to fried chicken to nachos. Be there early because seats are hard to get.
David Lee
Great place for a date. A bit pricey. Food wise it is not the best. Food I would rate it 3/5. Alcohol is decent but pricey.
Michael Gauer
Very cool place and food
Mike Daly
Was a nice place . A bit expensive in my opinion. 3 beers , one app and meatball and spaghetti. Jus under $70. Beers are about $7 a piece.😟
John Giammona
1st visit I'll be back tried burger Korean chicken and empanad all 3 were great
Great options
Lina Kay
Lots of options for groups. Outdoor seating during warm season is great for a quick lunch.
Veronica Chan
Loads of options. This is Korean fried chicken and their Asian fries.
The ice cream was also great!
Daniel Fernandez-Baca
This is the place to go when you have visitors coming into town. Great food, tons of food options, with great music and a chill atmosphere.
Tommy Dyson
Cool place for a meal and a drink. There's a few options to choose from. Joey Meatballs was really good.
Kaitlin T
Been to The Market a few times now. There are food choices for everyone, and everything I've purchased has been delicious! Sushi, pasta, burgers, salmon bowl, momos stick out the most in my mind.
How it works, you receive a card when you enter that is your tab. Each restaurant at The Market will ask you to tap your card when you order. You check in with your credit card at the beginning, and that is how your tab is paid at the end. There is a ton of seating but fills up fast, so I would recommend visiting when they open for lunch.
I would recommend visiting this place!
Peter P John
The beer wall is incredible + the concept is amazing, the pizza and empanadas are also great. Was a little disappointed by the fried chicken place, and we spent an hour trying to just find a seat tonight after getting food. When this place is busy it's super crazy, they need more chairs for sure!
Coral Ji
One of my favorite restaurants at The Market!! Their Benjamin Bacon is easily my favorite dish from there, with the Slammin salmon a very close second. Literally everything there is so tasty. Even the vegan burger is super good you can barely even tell it's not meat. Soo good! Definitely tell your friends about this place because it's worth it! And I love the pour your own beer wall as well at The Market!!
Nina Koller
The food selection is cool, and a huge shout out to the service staff - the bussers were very helpful. The text messages to let you know your food is ready is slick. Unfortunately, the lack of seating available made it a really stressful dining experience. Some sort of reservation, or standing room vs reserved seating would be a big improvement.
Mollie Joy
Super fun location! Great good options and perfect for groups!
Andres Perez
This might be my favorite spot in the Twin Cities to grab a drink so far. There’s an unbelievably diverse selection of food to choose from. They have a wide selection of self serve drinks that charge you by the ounce. Great place to have a social or hangout with friends
Rolando Benitez Ocampo
The ambiance if flawless. It's subtle, busy, classic-made-modern, and the variety is abundant. This place is great for 1st dates, 10th dates, celebrations, or casual grub pick up. My palate enjoyed the festival flavors. The ordering system is fine and simple. Don't forget to try Belezito's ice cream. I enjoyed and shared two scoop: frosted animal cracker, and a pistachio flavor, too. Being that I stayed at the hotel a few blocks away it was worth the 8 minute walking commute.
Eli Johnson
Been here several times in the past year+. So many options for food and beverage. Great place for social gatherings (options for everyone) with ample indoor and outdoor space. Options for vegetarian and vegan food and non alcoholic drinks as well
Chad Lang
Start with the bad, end with the good. The parking lot is a total disaster... muddy and might be walking a long way. Came on the weekend for dinner and cannot get seating. However, the cleaning service does a great job, there are a ton of food options and the food is great, and there's a good size beer selection.
Serena Cram
Originally went here for the holiday market, which I loved, but we also ate the food and it was fantastic. Some of the best cheese curds I've ever had (and I grew up on Wisconsin ones!) and the empanadas were fantastic (spinach and cheese, as well as mushroom for the win). Loved the ambiance of this place - very warehouse industrial style. Plenty of seating and there was also a pour your own beer and wine station, plus an actual bar. Wide variety of food options - sushi, pasta, empanadas, burgers, ice cream, and many more. Really looking forward to returning!
Noel Voss
Very neat concept! I liked that you could fill your own beer and wine when you were ready. They have a nice, microbrew beer selection. Not as much on the wine front, though. I LOVED the buffalo momo! The pizza was also very awesome. My friend had the ice cream and also loved that! It's a decent sized space but it was VERY busy when we were there on a Thursday night. They don't really have a soft closing time. Be prepared to be out the doors by 9-9:30. Still great, though, I'd go back!
Donna Knox
This place was amazing! It really encourages you to get a little bit of food from each spot and share with friends. The quality of all the ingredients is amazing :) My personal favorite spot was the SunDay kitchen, where I got the charcuterie board. Super tasty!!!! I will say, this place is VERY expensive. You will spend no less than 40/50 dollars getting food and drinks. Still worth it! The atmosphere is super chill, and will absolutely get busy at dinner. If you want a booth, get there before 5. I will say also, being someone who is very plus sized, I had a very difficult time squeezing into that booth. I did not get to try the tables, but the chairs scared me a bit too lol. But all in all, super great experience, I will go back!
TERESA ROTH
We like the variety. Good food but no really spicy food. The spicy tuna rolls and Korean chicken were very, very mild. Bring your favorite chili pepper or sauce.
David Zar
The food choices are terrific and the quality was very high. The place was crazy busy on a Saturday night, as expected, but service was still good. But due to his good it is, seating is an issue. There simply is not enough of it. We looked for an hour and never found an indoor spot for five available. We ended up outside under an animic heater on a 45 degree night. Many folks were camped out drinking and we simply could never find a spot. May I suggest at least one room have a number system where you can get a number to be called in when a table is available? Only "eaters" allowed and the rest can be open for folks drinking.
James Neldo
This place is awesome! Either for a simple lunch or a couple of hours in the afternoon with a few friends.
Jane Lee
Stopped by for the first time on a Sunday at 1pm with a holiday market going on. It was crowded; the lot was packed bumper to bumper. Once inside we checked in at a kiosk to give them our credit card number and they gave us a plastic card to touch scan at food stations to pay. They also gave us wrist bands to show we were of age for alcohol. You return the card to a Dropbox on the way out.
You can order a variety of things, from burgers and ice cream to sushi. We saw pricing listed for the food, but didn’t see pricing posted for the alcohol. You order at the counter and they text you when your food is ready for you to walk up and grab it. It reminded us of a campus cafeteria. For lunch we got one main + one beer, and it averaged to $30 per person. That’s including the automatic 18% surcharge. The building itself was cool and the half finished exterior kind of gives a nod to the mill city ruins.
Jared Jones
Been to a few of the restaurants here, I especially like the burgers and ice cream at Bebe Zito. Wrecktangle Pizza and the empanada place are also very solid. In addition to the serve yourself beer and wine wall, they also have a cocktail bar at the end of the restaurants that mix up some really good drinks as well. With this being a cafeteria/food court style of place, the card system works great and helps move business along.
Kezia Germ
What a fun night out! The cafeteria style and swipe cards were awesome and we loved all the interesting and varied food options (and appreciated the safer options too, for our picky friends). It was pretty crowded when we got there at 7pm on a Saturday, but by 8pm the crowd thinned a bit and it was easier to get around.
Kameran Hildreth
Wow the vibe the food im speechless everyone very nice. The foods amazing, you have to try the ice cream. Wow! GTF flavor wow
Rasikanand Harvind
Always a good time here. They give you a spend card they you link to your credit card. Final charge is placed when you close your tab. Its easy to lose track of how much you're spending. If you're sharing meals, you can save quite a bit of money while getting to try a variety of things. Portion sizes are pretty large here.
The alcohol dispensers are fun and they rotate the drinks every so often. Each glass ends up somewhere between $7-$15. It's per ounce so you can take smaller servings to try different ones too. If you're more into cocktails there's a separate place within the building where you can ge them.
There are about a dozen food options. Most restaurants serve a fusion type of food. Whether its south American empanadas or Korean fried chicken or Indian dosas, they find a way to Americanize it. This place gets crowded the later you get there and seating is limited. Parking is also a pain. There is Minneapolis street parking within walking distance as well as a parking garage a short walk away.
Overall an enjoyable experience. Definitely a great place to go with friends or coworkers.
Todd Watt
The experience here was phenomenal. Love the fact that you start a tab and use it throughout the building from drinks to food. We tried every food booth and there was not one I would not order from again. The beer on tap was a nice variety and the don't be afraid to ask for a sample. The retrofitted building had great ambiance and I would definitely come back. Best food hall in the Twin Cities.
Lyndsey Manning
Super fun! The food options are amazing! However don’t get the Rosé, very over priced.
Dave B
Great place to grab food or a beer. The serve yourself beer wall is great- no waiting in a line or for a bartender/server. Tons of seating available including outside. Food selection is great including the ice cream shop that also serves amazing burgers. The only downside is parking directly across from the market is very limited and the only street may have you walking a bit to get there. The walk is fine in the summer but I can’t see doing this in the winter.
elizabeth mazzara
Really cool atmosphere and layout. You pay with a card in the very beginning and you receive a card that you can use at every restaurant. At each restaurant on the checkout screen your running total of your purchases shows up when starting a new transaction. There was great food, great staff, great experience, and a very cool thing to try!
Amanda Ruddle
Cool vibe, but weird way of payment. Have to start a tab when you get there and use a hotel key style card to pay. Staff acted like it was obnoxious to close out the tab and get a receipt. This was inefficient and an annoying bottleneck. The food I had was overpriced and lines were long, hard to find seating. I'd try the place again on a weekday and see if I have a different experience, but generally I was underwhelmed with the experience.
Tom Kluis
New, trendy, and busy. Lots of food choices to pick from, some lines were 30 people long others had zero waiting. Korean Fried Chicken was quite good. They are still working out the kinks on the self-serve beer area with some taps moving or going down while we were there.
Fairly expensive, especially with the auto-applied "hospitality fee" even though everything is counter service and premium priced food/drink already.
Very nice reclaimed space with a good amount of parking nearby.
Eric Luoma
It is a neat space and can accommodate a lot of people. Went on a Saturday at around noon and it was busy and loud. I know that I am getting older now when I mention that but it's true... It's loud and hard to hear your friends and the employees. The dumplings were good as well as the veggie burger. It's a great use of the space and will be popular but I can't say that it had anything unique that would bring me back and time soon. But check it out for sure. Ohh and it's also kinda spendy but everything is now.
Adam Blom
Cool place. Neat food options and a wall of taps you pour yourself - charged by the ounce, so if you get a bunch of foam you gotta wait it out or waste beer and money. Not a cheap place, but a cool hangout with tables indoors and outside.
Went back again. Still cool, but I would like if they had a few more "regular" beers on tap.
Stephanie Weiss
Fun concept! We arrived before the dinner rush. I had a tuna roll from the sushi which was delicious. The green garden salad was yummy with the shaved fennel and hard boiled eggs.
Pouring your own beer can be dangerous - price-wise! We'll be back!!
Karen Backes
Great new space for the neighborhood! Welcoming variety of food for all tastes.
Tried food from 4 of the kitchens--all were quite good. Craft cocktails are tasty, beer wall has a broad selection. Spectacular space. Can't wait to go back, try more and enjoy the patio.
Barb Thompson
We arrived shortly after opening. You show them your credit card and they give you a card that you use to pay at each of the vendors that applies the cost to your credit card. Very cool. We had empanadas with two sauces - really loved the spinach! At the Korean food stand we ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and roasted cauliflower that we split. Delicious! Finally we had very unusual flavors of ice cream that were amazing. You order and then pick up at each stand. Everyone was helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and very fast. We just drank water from the Pour area. One negative- by the time we left the place was so loud it was crazy. Nothing to absorb the sound. You drop off your payment card as you leave and they close out your tab. We will go back for the food and service, but on a cooler day when we can eat outside and avoid the noise inside.
Rob Liebhart
Pretty cool concept, but it is very hard to keep track of how much money you are spending. Some of the beers seem absurdly highly priced per ounce. Most of the foods and apps are reasonable priced, but are of varying quality.
Crystal Monnens
Probably won't be returning any time soon. We were very excited to see such a unique concept, but it just wasn't for us. The card system is interesting. When you first get into the building you are asked to link your credit card to one of their cards. Then you funnel around trying to find what you want. There's a line to order at just about every vendor. You swipe their card, and it tacks on 18% automatically. I don't mind the 18%, but after two meals and two drinks, we were in it for at least $60. Couldn't find a place outside, so we ate inside the very noisy building. Our food took 25 minutes and wasn't well paced with the rest of our party. Our party had already finished eating by the time we got our food. By the end of our meal we were just excited to leave. Noisy, over priced, and unfortunately not a very good setup in practice. It would be nice if you could order online, pay online, and then go and pick it up. Streamline the process a bit more to make the lines flow better. Just my thoughts. Like I said, it's a neat concept, food was good, drinks were meh, worth checking out but likely won't be back unless they improve a few things.
Lauren Brooks
The space is nice and well-decorated showing off the original building as well. However, it's a little weird using one card for all and that without knowing it you're allowing access for the business to link that card to your bank account. I'm not sure how comfortable I am with that technology aspect of it and the potential sharing of information. Additional wait times for food at three o clock in the afternoon were around thirty minutes at the more popular places. Also for drinking options, it seems heavily alcohol-focused verse having alternatives. Few vendors sold soda and no none alcoholic options other than water were offered on the poured wall. The food is as delicious once received and then staff walking the floor made sure to acknowledge the guest. It's a nice place.
Christian Rogers
The concept of this place is that extremely cool: you open a tab and are given a card that does all of your purchasing. Simply bring the card to the food staff or pour wall and whatever you buy is added on to your tab. When you leave you just drop the card I'm a box and walk out (gratuity is included automatically).
There is a huge variety of food to find here. On our trip, my wife and sushi and I had empanadas. We finished off with some ice cream. There are also stalls for Korean chicken, burgers, and a few others I forget. All the food we tried was delicious, I especially love the empanadas.
Their beer, wine, and cider is out your own and pay by the pint. I really like this setup because you can try a ton of new things without having to commit to a full pint. The selection is rotating and mostly local beers and ciders though they also have wine.
Be aware this place is popular and finding seating can be a hassle. They have lots of spots to sit but some are pretty far down the building so you might end up sitting on the hinterlands so to speak. We went on a Tuesday and we had to walk around for a bit to find a place for the two of us to sit; large groups be advised! There are long tables for groups but they are few and far between.
We really enjoyed this place and I am sad I did not hear about it sooner. We will definitely we back.
katie bv
What an amazing new food hall. Plentiful food options and drinks. Must!
Karly H (Exploring the lakes!)
I loved the variety!!! I just didn’t like the prices. I will just come for special occasions!!! Want to come back in the winter time.
Ken Hagen
Very busy food hall with many options to choose from. Korean Chicken sandwich was outstanding.
Jacqui S-S
My first time here was with my sister. I enjoyed the atmosphere and our experience was pleasant and made special and memorable by the owner! She rocked customer service that I had to bring my husband back for an ice cream treat..
You must try the pumpkin ice cream!!! The pizza was amazing! I can not wait to go back!
Nick R
Great location for a work happy hour. Lots of beers on tap and easy to sample
Greg Hillenbrand
Great food and drinks. It was especially fun to walk up to a wall of taps and be able to pour your self a beer, or a glass of wine.
Ryo Flying
This is a very lively dining hall with 10+ local food vendors. From vegan to ice cream to Argentinean food, you have a plenty of options to choose from. It is great to see the prospect park neighborhood to come alive again.
Laura Graves
Great food hall!
Active, lively and yummy food experience!
Corey Butler
I enjoyed my visit here. The place has a great atmosphere and a nice variety of food. The Korean fried chicken at Abang Yoli was crisp and delicious. The serve-yourself beer option is a lot of fun. Unlike some reviewers, I like the card payment system and the automatic 18% gratuity. I do have one complaint though, making this a 4/5 rather than a 5/5. The transit way is a major bike route and you’ve got no bike racks? Seriously?!
James Kerber
Cool concept and lots of choices. This is great if you have multiple people who may be picky. Pouring your own beer at the beer wall can be frustrating and wasteful. Further, everything was relatively expensive.
Rae Burke
Prices are already a bit high to start, then they hit you with the 18% service charge on everything. Expect a $30+ tab for 1 for dinner, beer, and dessert. The wall of beer taps is a very cool concept, and Bebe Zito's ice cream is fantastic. Food was good but felt like it was missing something, maybe be more generous with sauces and spices (didn't appreciate getting charged an extra $1 for a teaspoon of sauce!!).
Mark Ouska
Brand new and very worth checking out. There are self-serve beer and wine choices along with many excellent food food options. When you arrive you check in you get a purchase card that is good for any of the offerings making it easy to mix and match what you get including beer and wine tastings by the ounce.
Marco Briceno
They have a little bit of everything for everyone. You will not be disappointed.
Tov N.
Great atmosphere although too crowded. Good food options.
Michael Reed
Excellent food selections and nice seating areas. Liked the open pay system
Ali
Fun atmosphere and many options to choose from. Something for everyone! Love the idea of this place and how large this place is. It does get pretty busy and can be hard to find a seat, but just have to time it right. Love the pour your own beer option as well and the payment system!
James Folden
We were there for a family event. Plenty of room, and fun place to explore. Best to go with an experienced person though, as it can be initially a bit overwhelming. Food was wonderful, and a fun choice of beers.
Justin Anger
Great experience! Everyone on the staff was super friendly. Food was excellent. Didn't drink much beer, as the cocktails were holding my attention all night.
Ashley Scarlett
So many delicious food options! The self-pour beer station was pretty cool.
Tessa Cox
I will be back, with various different friend groups. This place has so much variety, it is well suited to many meet-up types.
Service was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious! If you miss the State Fair, this gives you a little feel of that mixed with a mall food court.
Chris Clennon
Excellent concept with multiple vendors where you can run everything through one tab (one charge for your visit, no matter what you purchase). The self-serve taps where beverages are charged by the ounce should be the new standard everywhere. The space is great, too. Love everything about it!
Jeremy W
Expensive but fun! Great selection of different foods and drink options.
Ethan Polcyn
Lots of great options and a really unique environment. Would highly recommend, it's just a little expensive
John Konopa
Unique idea and very good food. Had the cheese board and a couple sushi rolls. The burgers look very good as well. The back parking lot needs to be improved but very cool idea and building.
Kristina
I always love going and chatting with friends and enjoying meal at Market at Malcom Yards. I am always surprised how reasonable the prices are and the food has all been delicious. I like that I can order a little of something from multiple venders and with the card, it is just so easy. I have not yet had a beer or wine there, but the beer wine and liquor selection seems to fit a variety of tastes.
Noah Jeffrey
Great gathering space with a nice selection of self-serve taps and great restaurants to order from. (Definitely try the empanada!!) The patio is large, dog-friendly, and has gas fireplaces when it’s cold! Nice touch. 👍🏼 …
Monica Vichet
"Sara without an H" working the self pour area, you were wonderful! My second time at Malcom yards and I love that they have an abundant amount of parking and seating to try out all the food + drinks. Everyone who works here is so kind and attentive. Definitely a fun time to meet up with some friends and grab a bite or drink after work with all the options you have.
Dave Feitl
A electronic swipe card is assigned to you when you enter and then you can pick up food and drink a la carte throughout the market, and there is something for everyone. Fun if you have a group with diverse tastes.
Duccio Mondanelli
Great "food court" with local high quality vendors. Love the Bebe burger and many other delicious options here. Shout-out to the cool and easy payment system where you open a tab at the main entrance and pay for all of your food at the end of the night. Much easier to explore and try out different stuff.
Tanner Samson
Lots of variety of delicious food, cocktails and pour your own beer.
Lisa Hull
Fun place. Within walking distance of Surly and O'Shaunessy Distilling. Had Detroit style pizza, ice cream and a tied a couple of drinks from the drink wall which has several great cocktail and beer options. Liked the easy card payment system too. I will be back!
Shaleen Meyer
Expensive, very busy, and parking is always packed. I like that they give you a card for multiple purchases.
Sasank Gadiko
Liked the vibe of the place. Looks very happening. Also like the concept of the self service beer. Basically you have to fill your beer and then you are charged by the oz. There are plenty of food options here, though I wouldn't rate them high. Tried few options and found them average. Also when you enter you have to link your credit card to a pre-paid card which you can use at all the food stores inside as well as to purchase your beer.
A DECOUX
Great space with excellent beer and food options!
Boomer
Cool lunch spot. Unique experience with plenty of options. However, it's not cheap and will cost you.
greg moser
Awesome! Loved the vibe! You check in with your credit card and get one of their cards to use at all vendors and the beer wall. You just drop the card in a box when you leave and your credit card is charged. Busy place. Food Hall concept works well here.. Outdoor seating too. Had empanadas on a recommendation from a friend and it was great. Lots of fun food and drink choices. Would rush back! Minor things . They closed at 9 on a Tuesday night, place was still busy. Parking was in gravel lots..a little hazardous walking back when pitch dark. Hoping new lots soon. Easy to get to.. Across the street-ish from Surly.
Ben Koch
I've visited a couple of times before a Gopher football game and it's a great spot for fans to gather. The set up is pretty slick with the internal debit card system and the text notifications. I also appreciate that they let you park there during the game with a food and beer purchase.
Karla Przybylski
This place is awesome. Great atmosphere, something for everyone, food and drink wise" decor is fun, so much space. We did a big group HH for work and we all had so much fun, had our own table and didn't feel crowded! Will definitely go back to try all the other choices there!
Handsome Acid
What a cool place! The staff were all very friendly. The card link system was a little odd at first but wasn't an issue at all. Our group all split up and came back to the table with different food to split. I ended my visit with the best double scoop cone of my life.
Angela Johnson
All the food was worth the wait despite how busy it was! The farmer’s market margaritas, fried chicken, steamed jasmine rice, momo’s mutton dumplings, charcuterie board and empanadas were all excellent and worth the 10-40 min wait for each item. Beer is self serve and cocktails lines were short. The card system makes things work smoothly. There is a ton of seating inside and outside too! Highly recommend.
Mary
it was Amazing!!! first timer. I like they have free refills on soda the meatball pizza was to die for!! the best icecream too. cool concept. everyone was very nice. a must try!!!! will be back !!!!
Erling Kurtti
I like the concept of how these restaurants come together as one. The food is great and provides excellent variety for different tastes.
Hatem Khalfaoui
Awesome vibes and great food!
Sajidah Alkhawajah
Very nice resturant the staff are amazing Halit give us good service thanks for him
Andrew Czernek
Very lively after work locale. Good choice of beers at the taps.
da xiong
A very cool blend of brick and steel industrial all the while maintaining a high end restaurant appearance in decor. Nice mix of different food vendors. Very open social concept and yet offers different areas from inside to outside to still find privacy if that is what you're looking for. Loved the place and atmosphere. Bagu sushi is the real deal, try the sake ceviche for a nice new twist! 😻
Aaron Shaw
The Market at Malcolm Yards intends to be the unique co-op food and drink destination that the city might be asking for. The initial experience is very unorthodox as you're given a card that acts as an "all access pass" to all the vendors of anything within the Market. This access card is tied to your credit card so theirs no need to keep using your credit card every time you want new food; just use the access card. Although the idea is somewhat unique and honestly a bit odd, it's the attempt to be different and more streamlined that doesn't make them an inconvenience or weird. The food itself is delicious, the drinks are broad and refreshing, and the staff are excited to be in this new space. Make this a date night or midday destination and you'll be exposed to a experience that feels adjacent to that of the Keg and Case Market in the West 7th neighborhood. Keep this place on your radar or list in the months and years to come as they add or even rotate new restaurants or pop-ups for your dining or drink desires.

; Lots of great food vendors and beautiful details to the building. Lots of seating indoor/outdoor and open floor plan. There is plenty of parking lot space, but most of it is on dirt.
There's a card system to track your order history, but aside from that cash is accepted and card is preferred. The ordering process is convenient; place your order and they'll text you once your order is ready for pick up at the pick-up window. The only criticism I have is to figure out a flow for lines waiting to place an order, as it causes blockage for traffic walking up and down the building.
Tip: highly recommend trying Bebe Zito's burgers and unique ice cream!
Michael Baumgartner
I would say it was unique. There were all kinds of different foods and beverages. But it was kind of loud and probably for a younger crowd.
Jim Angelo
Been here a couple of times. In both cases great food, including veggie, and love the self poured beers. Real informal and everyone can choose what they prefer. Staff is always friendly.
Mike Milburn
We hosted a small employee/partner event at Malcolm Yards last night. Everyone loved it. The energy, vibe and food quality was electric. The self service beer wall is fantastic. I wish i had this experience when I was in College. We will be back!
Peter Joncas
The perfect location for a good time with friends or a date! Extremely modern and welcoming environment. There’s food options for anyone, no matter what your tastes are. Shoutout to Sarah who was working at the tap, she was amazing! Definitely coming back
Gavin
Great spot all around from patio to 10/10 food options to beer wall. Had a great time here with friends

Must try place, so many options. This is by far the best food hall concept in the Twin Cities. Their concept of having you register your credit/debit card to a market card to use at all vendors. Think of getting a reloadable arcade card but a little different. This then allows each vendor to link your charge cost to your days tab. The POS system shows your current tab and also includes the 18 tip/service charge that goes to all the staff and vendors. Food and drink were great. Their is so much sheeting and a great variety of food and beverage. They also have tons of staff clearing glasses and plates. They kindly come up as well and ask if their is anything else you need.
Natalie J
This place has a great variety and an easy one tab system. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars, is because I am not a big wait in line gal. I don’t love waiting in a crowded space for delicious food, it’s just not my preferred method. The food and drink were all highly quality and great but not my style!
Would recommend to the right person!
Deborah Nelson
A lot of choices. Goodfood. Great atmosphere. Fun
Timothy McFadden
Like the concept, using one card for all food vendors. Love the food and beers on tap. Free parking and friendly staff. Great place to hang for a couple hours. We felt very safe.
Sue Halvorson
I loved how the bldg. was renovated! I loved all the vendors & choices available! Our Grandson loves the burgers & ice cream! I had tomato basil soup & grille cheese sandwich! delicious!
James B
The restaurants (food and drink) were all great choices. However, the entire layout isn't great. I get the footprint was pretty pre determined but all the restaurants are lined up in the same skinny corridor, thus pretty long unorganized lines, resulting in poor overall flow. The air circulation isn't great in the building.
Having a single form of payment doesn't make much sense except it is a way for the landlord to make sure they get their cut.
Jessica Schreiber
What a cool place!! Like the mall food court meets Dave and Busters, but with great quality food and drinks!
Breiah Simms
Had a great experience here hanging out with my best friend. We tried multiple restaurants, but my favorite dish was the avocado toast from Advellum. Looking forward to coming back for more good eats!
Terri Churchill
Fun place for lunch. A little hectic, but great experience!
Alex C.
This place was awesome and has great customer service. Would recommend to anyone who is craving a couple different things. The strawberry churro milkshake was a delicious treat and sharable.
Nick Klebs
Variety of food and front of house staff make this Food Hall standout. Vendors are passionate about their products, beer wall and mixed cocktails along with plenty of seating offer a relaxed but also expedient dining experience if you are on the go or want to hangout all night.
Eleanor Johnson
Came in today to check the place out with my friend. The entire place is full of such good food(I only got to try the Empanadas and sushi, but I'll be back) and the beer pouring station is awesome. The personalities of the employees there are fun! Thomas and Zack in particular were super helpful and personable. I'll be back soon and I'll be bringing friends.
Jayesh Naithani
The masala dosa and sambhar combo was spicy and quite good.
Shannon Davis
Super cool spot! Tons of outdoor (and indoor) seating with plenty of different food options to choose from. Beer and wine is serve yourself which is great for half pours/tasting a bunch of local beers.
Noah White
The idea is there - the hidden costs really add up though. 3x3.75 empanadas, 1x5 asian fries, 1x10 momo serving. Roughly 25 before tax, right? Apparently the real cost is 42 total. The card works as a great desensitization for what you're actually spending, and because you generally don't get a bill you can easily lose track of the cost. It's kinda like how modern mobile games use in-game currency to lure and target vulnerable users. Just make sure you check the cost at the counter every time.
Mike P
We visited a week after its grand opening. Very busy, but lines move fairly fast. The empinadas are delicious. Outdoor seating area is fairly spacious. Indoor seating also available. Great vibe. Highly recommended!
Jason G
Great food hall. Great beer pour-your-own. Great food vendors. Tasty and delicious. This model needs to take over. A real destination!
Jeffery Newville
Everything we ate and drank here was perfect. The Korean fried chicken blew my mind. It was quite busy, which made finding a table difficult, but once we did, it was a great experience.
Baramee Chindavong
Great spot with different rooms that have different vibes. Great spot for large groups. Works on a card system. The food is delicious. There are beer and cocktail options. Definitely a cool space.
Nick Gottlob
Great place & selection. Food & brews were great. Need staffing though at the taps. We ended up paying for pours we did not have- since the taps remained active after the pour
Laura Panthofer
I’m not local to Minneapolis, but if I was, this would be a frequent fave!! Lots of tasty options for all pallets — I got a spicy chicken sandwich from Abang Yoli and the Grapefruit Shredder from the bar. Both tasty af. I’ve had a lot of chicken sandwiches and that was one of the best - messy, but worth it. The drink tasted like a tart gummy bear! For desert, don’t forget to grab some ice cream at Bebe Zito - I’ve never seen such bold, innovative flavors. Had I ever thought Ritz Crackers in ice cream would work? Nope. But Bebe Zito made my tastebuds beg to differ.
Food aside, this place radiates good, social vibes — bring a friend, or five.
Will be back when I’m back in town. Y U M

Good variety of food vendors. Great, friendly service. Great place to meet friends, seems wide range of ages happy here. Like the self serve beer, wine, cider
A variety of seating options inside and outside, quieter places in the back. Loved the Korean fried chicken, charcuterie plates, momos
Stacia Marlett
Great place when it's not crowded. So fun to try a bunch of different foods and drinks, but terrible for any kind of conversation when it's crowded. My ears were ringing last time I left.
Noise reduction materials can fit into even an industrial decor, so please give it a try Malcom Yards!
Mike W
This is a premier food court. I hesitate to call it a food court because it is so much better than the usual ones; a wide variety of cuisines, excellent quality and a self-service beer and wine system that is perfect for sampling flight size pours or full pints. We're going back often.
Richard Roeser
Went there yesterday with my daughter and son in law.Good food alot of choices and a lot of beer and ice cream and big chocolate cookies.Staff was very good we met Pat the owner. She gave are dog some water too. Dog friendly out side I would go back again
Jeff Rockhold
Great little place! Has multiple food options and a decent beer selection. And a separate bar as well. Doesn't hurt being right next to surly and a new distillery.
Carmen's Critiques
Such a fascinating place with everything your hungry stomach is looking for! Check in, receive your card, and use it to get beer and food; when you're ready to go, you just give it back to them and they ring you up! It was super crowded but you wouldn't know with how fast the lines moved since the whole money transactions were taken out of the equation. Loved it!
Shrey Pareek
The only downside about this place is that there are too many options. I ended up spending so much. The variety of food options is mind blowing. The drinks wall is really cool. Everything we tried was great.
Timothy Payton
Noisey, good food not spectacular. I thought it was pricey for what is basically selfserv. Catering to a younger demographic. Some food stations were closed limiting options. Staff was very nice and personable. Not really a place for family dinning. Used technology very extensively, very user friendly.
Garmesan_Parlic
First time coming here, went with a big group of fellow students. This place hads a wide range of cuisine, cool atmosphere, self-service taps, and a super intuitive payment system. Perfect for decent-sized gettogethers. Will come again.
Becca Robbins
Such a fun new place to have in town. Boxcar showcased fanciful and delicious cocktails, Joey's Meatball was exactly what you would want a pasta place to be, and we had the most crispy, juicy, delectable Korean fried chicken. When places first open, as customers, I think we need to give a bit of grace to the learning process of opening. Staff are learning processes and all the kinks haven't been worked out. However, that was not the case at Malcom Yard. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind, from people bussing tables to the bartenders. Lines were short, there was plenty of parking and seating, and the payment process was simple and easy to use. We were impressed with how well this operation is running having only been open for two days. Way to go all of you!
Dan Krzykowski
I hate when restaurants replace gratuities with service fees. Hate it. Let's get that out of the way.
Otherwise, this place is excellent. Food options are broad and deep. Lines and payment are handled expertly. As of this review, they have you covered with:
Pizza, ice cream, burger, Korean fried chicken, sushi, charcuterie, a full bar, pour your own craft beer, a vegetarian place, and a momo/dosa place from the people at Gorkha Palace.
Just about anyone can be happy here. It is a pleasant and clean space, and I expect it will stay that way. However, with Surly and all the apartments nearby, not to mention the word of mouth about it, I expect it to be more crowded than it is now shortly after opening.
Douglas Hall
This is a nice place, but they need to review thier prices as they are beyond the market. A standard beer I pour myself from the beer wall should not be $12 a pint. They charge by the oz, but by the time the pint is full $12. Ridiculous. All other prices are high.
Jay Blazeman
Great venue with a variety of options for food and beer. The bar is legit too! Love the cashless pay system. Gets pretty busy since it’s THE new place to be but there’s tons of space so it works!
Cole Carter
Nice spot to hang out! Prices are a bit rough, hard to tell how much you're spending too with the way they do their card system. Also I'm pretty sure the na drinks(non-bottled) are spiked. Worth checking out but not for those who are price sensitive.
Stephanie Harms
Went for a work gathering and sampled from all the restaurants. Everything was fantastic. A bit crowded, but I hear that it usually is crowded. Will be coming again with the family.
Dan Atkins
Great concept. Eclectic offerings. Needs noise suppression. They have a few smaller event spaces. Warmer spring weather has turned the parking lot to mud.
Joel Abrahamson
A great variety of food vendors to satisfy whatever your mood, from American comforts to global exploration.
Tyler Pederson
Good food. Beer is about $.50/oz but you don’t tip, so that’s nice. Maybe I’ll go back, but won’t make an effort to.
Edgar Alfonzo
One of the best food hall at Minneapolis!!
Gabriel Politsch
Delicious food. Nice and helpful staff. Overall a great experience.
Jenny Schmid
Delicious well- run friendly place. Very active! Lots of delicious beers and great food- Dosas at Momo are the best. My advice: go on a weekday so you can eat outside. Indoors feels like a Delta variant superspreader event on a Friday night with few people masking, including the staff. I totally appreciate having real dishes and silverware! So rare in this kind of venue and so much better for the environment.
Sam Kosel
Really cool place with great food and drinks! So many options that it works for everyone :)
Jason Bjork
Cool place with plenty of self-serve taps (pay by the ounce) and cafeteria style food options. Had the Korean chicken...so crispy! Super good. 👍 …
Jaime Bresler
The food was great the experience was also great.
Mark Miller Jr.
Super cool space! I was in there for an MNFEA event where we were in on of the event spaces, but we were able to procure our own lunch through their Yard Card system, which is pretty cool! I had empanadas and they were delicious!
Linda McLoon
Many different food types, and an easy system for paying. They also have beers in tap for you to serve yourself. Best things? Wrecktangle Community pizza and Bebe Zito's maracuja ice cream.
Richard Gong
Great spot for lunch. Medium crowded on this saturday with vendors delivering tasty plates and bowls. I had a bowl of corn and sausage cream soup with baguette slices. My better half had a masala dosa with impossibly thin chickpea crepe encasing a savory potato mixture alongside an indian vegetable soup. Our table partners shared a charcuterie board loaded with cream and hard cheeses as well as spanish chorizo and other offerings.
Seating available in booths or long tables. After ordering from the kiosks some vendors will text you when your order is ready for pickup. Great go to spot around U of M.
Jake Bailey
I love the diversity of foods here. I haven't had choripan since I visited Chile. If you love brats, get yourself a choripan from the empanada place. Also, being able to take the food to the outdoor seating makes me feel more at ease with covid.
dessy
Really cool place. We walked around but was not hungry so we didn't get anything.
Milan Koppen
Food is great, but beer tap is a rip off. Great seating options outside, if you find one!
Nilesh Naik
Great place to have quality beer and decent food. The old factory ambience is perfect.
Hillarie Welsh
Really fun place for kids and adults alike. Many food options and lots of seating. Parking is pretty terrible right now, but it looks like there is construction so maybe that is being remedied.
mickey garza
A real nice food court with lots of delicious options to eat and drink.
Ojas Gokhale
Decent food court with many options. You register your card when you get in and this gives you a card which makes buying food and drinks faster if you are trying different places.
Logan Arendt
Cool concept, but way too crowded and busy. Lots of food options to choose from though. Parking can be a nightmare but hopefully that clears up after the nearby construction wraps up.
Subramanian K
Though old building, could see how they strengthened the column & rafters.New concept Five stars to food & variety.Momo Dosas very crisp
David Nestrud
Great atmosphere! I love the paycard concept and pay by the ounce beer self
-serve (great to try out multiple different beers). Delicious Korean chicken from Abang Yoli!
Brenda Metcalfe
The food here was great. What a nice idea for families who like all different kinds of food.
Vanessa Carrasco
Please try the honey butter potato chips at the stand with ice cream. I cannot stop thinking about them since we left. They're so good! Not going to find anything like it around. Also the spinach empanadas so so cheesy and warm and wonderfully delicious. I cannot wait to go back and have more. 💓 …
Sami Ghandour
Been here multiple times now. They stay busy but there is enough seating that I have never had trouble finding a table; a sign of a great place in my opinion. There are fantastic options on the beer wall. It is self serve and they charge by the ounce. I once got a bad pour full of head and the attendant came over and used their card to get me a better pour so that I wouldn't get charged extra. I was very appreciative of the service. If the beer wall doesn't do it for you, there is a bar as well that has other beer and alcohol options. There are many great kitchens to choose from; my personal favorite is the fried chicken sandwich from Abang Yoli.
Sean McGinnis
A lot of really great options in a cool refurbished building. Parking was easy. Some good local beer options too.
Jeffrey Funke
Great food drink and atmosphere!
Hirute Amlack
Interesting place to have lunch. Many vegan options!
Sam Herzog

James Henry

Great variety food location. The burgers there were some of the best I've ever had, and pretty affordable for the quality. Would heavily recommend!
Derek Rucker
Absolutely love this place. Huge variety of food, with chill, awesome vibe. If you can’t find something you like to eat here, you just aren’t hungry.
Kam Hanson
Awesome location. Fun historic building being used as a food and drink hall. Fun vibes. Upscale
Robert Ehlert
Had a few options that were available. DelSol was not listed as an option to rate but it is good food, daughter had something that she wanted. Plenty of space to allow for everyone.
Jessica Poindexter
Super cool vibes! They offer a Malcolm card to use for vendor food and drinks that will tally your bill and pay on your way out. They have a beer wall... very neat!
Karen McKernan
Great use of space, wonderful vendors! Tried the Wrecktangle Pizza (crispy pepperoni!!!), Del Sur Empanadas (the best) and some goat cheese mousse that was delish. We'll be back!
Jeff Hauck
This place is wonderful. From the beer wall to the many delicious options for dining. Love the vibe in here.
Denise Zechmann
Great atmosphere and fun place to hang out. Wide variety of food selections and unique way of managing the payments. Outstanding concept.
Timothy Albrecht
Good to go with a group and share food. Beer sold by the oz. Kind of expensive but was a good time will go again. Plenty of parking.
Lisa Williams
A great place to come with friends and coworkers so you can all choose your own type of food!
Kathleen Willis
Beautiful atmosphere and lovely variety and quality of food and drink.
Peter Nguyen
Great location with the addition of restaurants inside. Food is okay for the price.
Mia Bremer
Fun atmosphere, lots of great food choices and plenty of places to sit at a distance from others if you want after you order food. Easy to order.
Hello Neumann
Wow, what an experience! 3 of us split 4 entrees and enjoyed a few pints. Everything was great.
Patrick Poquette
Great variety of things to try. Ate at ABANG YOLI nice fresh ingredients, had the pork belly with ginger rice. Will be back to try the pizza
Jason Burford
The food selection is great and there's lots of craft beers on tap. I found the prices to be a little expensive but the quality of the food preparation is excellent.
Preston Podolske
Great atmosphere! Good beer, food, and service. At times it was a little loud inside. Outdoor space was pleasant.
J UV
Great place with great food
The day I came by this place I knew instantly I was going to eat good food. The livery, the music, the patio outside, and the overall feel of this place was extraordinary! I will come back for more!
Patti Yurczyk
Pour your own beer, cider and wine. 🍺 …
Terry Carter
Party of 2. We both ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, side order of bread, and a soda. Total bill was $55.00. The food was really good but way over priced.
Clayton Haapala
Lots of food stalls - huge variety. First experience with self pour beers, but there is staff on hand to help you get a good pour.
Chris MacDonald
The food options and quality are great. Having just opened within the last few months, they are still working through getting their gift cards to validate.
Luke Schneider
Fun atmosphere and delicious food. Just be warned it gets really busy on a Saturday evening.
