Reviews of The Lynhall No. 2640 LynLake

Awesome brunch spot. The pastries are made in-house and some of the best I’ve ever had which is saying a lot. The matcha cinnamon bun melts in your mouth. The bottomless drip coffee is a bit spendy at $4.50 but so smooth and I got plenty of refills. We tried the Braised Bison Hash, Rye Crepes, and a daily special of duck omelette. I highly recommend all of them. The crepes are definitely a sweeter option but so good.
Plenty of seating space and big windows. There were a few people working on laptops while we were there. There was no wait for us on a Saturday morning around 11am. They do add a 5% service charge to the check that is not gratuity. Can’t wait to come back.
Daniel Gerland
Lovely spot for breakfast and brunch. The interior design allows for it to get pretty loud when there are multiple groups talking. Pur food was amazing and our specialty coffee drinks were very good too. Can't wait to come back and try more great menu options.

this sunny cafe is spacious and warm. 10/10 in all regards - quality coffee (see my cortado) , delicious food (pictured here is the squash soup - creamy fall, the halloumi sandwich and fries - they make their own ketchup and hot sauce and WOW it’s good), and kind service. Would be a great place to work/study too. Nothing but good things to say
Cathy Bauer
Fantastic menu. Incredible service. Delicious everything!! Amazing service. How did I not know about this place before? A new weekend stop for sure. Can't wait to go back. Don't miss the banana bread pastry.
Elijah Steinbauer
This restaurant was pretty good. It's cute, but not what I would call cozy with the high ceilings and large room. Cranberry tea late was pretty good, not what I ordered, but tasty and warm on a cold day. The omelet was also pretty good, even if served a little tepid. Lots of mushrooms and good flavor. Shakshouka was good with a lot of flavor and I liked the chickpea fries.
Staff were all nice
Their hidden 5% 'gratuity to the house' is a little off-putting. I know restaurants are struggling, but I'd rather they be up front with prices. It's presented like they have to charge like a tax, but the law they refer to is just that they have to tell you when they add cost that WONT go to the service staff. I think a lot of people with subtract 5% from the tip, which is unfair to their servers.

Beautiful space, excellent brunch, amazing staff.
The Orange Hazelnut Toffee Latte was enjoyed by more than one in our group, and we all loved it! The flavors were all present but not not too sweet. Other dishes we enjoyed were the French Toast, Shakshuka, Winter Vegetable Hash, and The Classic Eggs Benny.

Lynhall is a great gem in the uptown neighborhood. Their food is excellent and the ambiance is lovely too. It’s big and spacious enough for families with strollers. There is a small section of outdoor seating too on Lyndale if you want to bring your dog. The pistachio croissant is the best I’ve ever had!
Brooke Nelson
Lovely atmosphere. Bright and airy. Attentive staff, incredible bakery menu. Food was delicious, and I’m going to have to come back like 6 more times to try everything that sounds good. And that’s just the brunch menu!
Michael Bédard
If you have one place to go brunch in Minneapolis, this is it. The farmhouse décor is just so wonderful. The selection of pastries was very large and the flavours were incredible. The pistachio almond croissant was so good. The breakfasts were just wow: i took a brunch special with benedict, coffee, mimosa and a pastry. You do not have to choose, you can have it all. The waitress was adorable. Take the bus from downtown and GO!
Karly H (Exploring the lakes!)
Not going to lie there pistachio croissant is one of the best pastries I’ve ever tasted!!! There coffee is amazing too!! Everything checks off the service, food and atmosphere is worth going.
Katherine Davis
Love their brunch, love the people who work here, I trust that everything on their menu is going to be good. My ONE complaint is that I ordered this beautiful carrot cake from the bake shop and the texture was very heavy, cake flavor was dull and low, and the buttercream was oily and tasted exclusively like butter. I was very disappointed with the cake for a $100 cake, and will go elsewhere for my next cake.
Melanie Lodermeier
Love the vibe. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate us :) Had the bottomless drip coffee with a pastry board. We had the waitress pick her 5 favorite pastries and they did not disappoint. Pistachio croissant, chocolate croissant, banana tea cake, Matcha cinnamon roll, and an almond muffin. ALL DELICIOUS!
Sonja Midtune
Great atmosphere for a classy lunch!
I met a friend on a Thursday, there was no wait and the tables were spotless. We got service right away and I had the peach and Burrata tartine which was delicious, along with some green tea.
On our way out, the waitress said they had leftover items in the bakery and gave us some to go! The salted croissant was perfectly baked. Will definitely come again!

Just amazing gourmet food, and considerable portions. Great place for large groups or sitting by yourself to work remotely. Incredible coffee!
Chris Duhaime
Had a wonderful experience here! Great ambiance, good food, and good service. The Tea Brine Turkey sandwich was awesome and the fries/aioli were yummy too!
We had some wine with lunch, which is why our tab was a bit more expensive.
Jill Lee
Great selection of food. The food was delicious and amazing staff. We made reservations on the day of and luckily they were not too busy. The burger was delicious and the Parmesan fondue melts in your mouth. I would definitely come back here again and try their dinner menu next time. Parking was limited since they offer outdoor dining. The outdoor dining took most of the parking spot with 4 open in the lot. Had to do street parking.
Kay Jay
Loved the atmosphere. Food was great. Our host was polite and helpful. It was a wonderful breakfast experience.
Jason Camis
What a find. Probably the most creative brunch menu across the board. Shakshuka was delicious, served with some type of polenta bites. Pastries were excellent and a great drink menu too. Wasn’t busy at 9am on Saturday so they easily accommodated our change from outside to inside dining.

Ploughman Buger (Summer 2022) is amazing. Had a friend in town last week for Craft Brewers Conference and wanted to get him out of the main downtown Mpls zone for lunch, so we went to The Lynhall on Lyndale because I have some history with the spot. Wasn't even thinking of a burger when we walked in, but immediately jumped on the Ploughman Burger as soon as I saw it on the menu. Nice-sized double Peterson beef patties well-seasoned. The caramelized onions, special sauce, smoked cheddar, and crisp pickles made a wonderful sweet/tart/savory combo with just a hint of cheesy funk (in a good way). Just the right amount of messy to make it fun beyond the flavor. It was the most pleasant surprise!
Virana Khairunnisaa
Been here a few times, and they never disappoint every time. Food is amazing, nice ambience, nice service
Erin Schulenberg
Afternoon tea, really fun experience. I do wish you could try more teas during the time but that's because I love tea so much!
Ian Collis
One of the premier brunch spots in the Twin Cities. A refined selection of dishes that range from experimental to redone classics. I had the classic breakfast which included some great bacon and sourdough toast. Very nice seating with a beautiful and accessible location. Would definitely recommend.

Wow, it's our first time and I have nothing but great things to say. Our server Corrina was amazing! The food was fresh and delicious. Great brunch spot. They close at two so come in time to order and enjoy the great ambiance.
Luke Larkin
Just enjoyed their new dinner menu and it was fantastic! The food is familiar, yet elevated. Cocktail menu is also great. This is a wonderful spot for a delicious, upscale dinner for a date night, or even a large group. Highly recommend!
Stephen Zander
Incredible GF options along with all the favorites. Staff was spot on and right there when needed. Employees masked up, just a wonderful safe environment. Can't wait to come back. A real must visit. They ran out of their cheddar biscuits so they made a croissant "biscuits and gravy". So good it should be considered for a menu option.
Hunter Ruth
Rock solid brunch. I got the cheddar scones and sausage gravy and it was delicious. Coming from Wisconsin, I really question the champagne chaser with the bloody. Seriously? I don't think those things pair at all.
Edward Stockard
Really cute place to take photos of food, but the food itself wasn't that good... Great customer service and stuff though. But not as a diverse group of workers nor customers. Felt a little out of place.
Ann Nusbaum
The food is great. Intersting combinations of flavors, well done. The bloody mary is the most pleasantly surprising drink on the menu. Try it. Great pastry options. The service was not great. It may have been just our server but he didn't know the menu and couldn't answer basic questions (maybe he was new). He didn't give us a drink menu, went to get one and took 10 minutes to bring it. Then another 10 before he came back to our drink order. Another 20 to bring us our drinks and take our food order. Food came pretty quick once order was in. Luckily we were there with friends and were having a good time otherwise it would have been very frustrating.
Pearlian
Beautiful lovely space with massive windows and low cozy lighting. The atmosphere felt like community and the food was delicious and decently priced. A great brunch spot for all 💕
Cory Christensen
Went for brunch. It wasn't busy but they put all of the tables right next to each other. Which is a little annoying. But the food felt a little too ambitious for what we actually got. Wouldn't recommend the crepes. But the server was super friendly and the food come out fast.
sarah murphy
Dinner service is back and so delicious! We shared the baked Brie app and trout entree and both were great! Can’t wait to go back and try more on the menu!
Hasan Makhlooq
We had a confusion on our order which was our fault. And because of that they treated us with a free dessert. Great customer service and I would give this place a full mark! Highly recommended! 100%
David Hong
Great restaurant with food that fit all sorts of tastes. I especially like all of the apetizer options such as the bread plate, tomato soup, and all the veges. I like that most of the menu have labels for vegan, gluten free, and dairy free options. The servers are pretty quick. I also like the atmosphere as it's the perfect balance between fancy and casual. The deserts are sub-par.
Preston Gutelius
Had a great breakfast, everything on the menu sounded so good that it was hard to choose and ended up trying a few things(omelet, French toast, roasted broccoli, and croissant), all of which were delicious.
Kate Baxstrom
What a gem! Fabulous breakfast items, I got the crepe with winter veggies and an egg and the flavors were exquisite. Followed it up with dessert, a sun butter and chocolate pastry that was delicious. It was a difficult choice for dessert too, everything looked amazing in the pastry case. You order at a counter and they give you a number. It's mostly community seating, but it's really well done so it doesn't feel hectic or loud inside.
Cassandra Utt
Absolutely beautiful! Everything that I've gotten here has been fantastic! I've really enjoyed sharing the savory scone sandwich, and the raspberry chocolate scone. The coffee is also great and they source fantastic brands from other cities. The only negative is that it is a bit expensive. Breakfast is reasonably depending on what you get but dinner is quite expensive for the portion size. This is also a decent place to work remotely.
ron heichert
Stopped in for lunch today by myself, heard the place was good and was just driving by. Staff was great, food was pretty good, and such a cute atmosphere. Felt like you could get lunch with friends or just bring your laptop and do some work. Casual but still well designed. Had the lobster roll, but will be back to try more things.
Sinthuja Ramalingam
Lynhall had one of the most delicious breakfasts I've had. Service is relatively fast, and there's a lot of seating available.
Their only dairy free milk option is oat milk, and it would be nice to see more options.
Adam Parker Goldberg
Beautiful atmosphere, fabulous food! The coffee is delicious and I LOVE the vegan mushrooms and toast! When you’re looking to flex the “ish” of “veganish,” savor one of (or multiple!) their pastries.
Chloe McElmury
Adore the Lynhall! Friendly staff, amazing menu, great drinks, cute wallpapered bathrooms! A favorite spot to sit and work on my computer, but also great for meeting friends for a drink and a pastry or dessert!
Brittany Miller
Great brunch place! Very filling plates. Most of there dishes (ex: Smoke Ham Benedict) have great contrasting flavors. Very much impress on the decor of the space. Feels like a high class cafeteria. Tons of windows and light make it a place you would want to hang out at for the day. Provides local coffee from St Paul!
Lynn Choi Perrin
The food was well crafted, tasty and quickly delivered. Due to the quality of the food, it was well worth the price. I really appreciated the ability to make reservations. Looking forward to trying them for brunch.
Rachel Ewell
I really liked the concept and the space is beautiful. Definitely thought the prices were a little on the high side and portions were small but food tasted delicious and service was good.
L
Giving this 4 stars because I literally got locked in the bathroom and the entire door handle came off in my hand. When I told the hostess she said “that’s happened before we fixed it but i guess it broke again” and then dismissed me???
The food was great though! They don’t have enough workers so service was a little slow.
Darcie Vandegrift
This was a gem of a brunch spot. Beautiful bright cheerful setting. Plant-forward menu of delights (don’t worry, carnivore, your choices are there, too.). My shakshuka pleased on the coldest of days, served up with these groovy chickpea fries and a salad. My beloved dining companion was wowed by an avocado tartine dressed up in the most cheerful of garnishes. Solid coffee, tasty shared matcha cinnamon bun. We left with higher spirits.
Patrick Kelly
I love finding places like Lynhall. Every detail has been considered and executed perfectly from the beautiful space to every drink and food selection. All the people I came across seemed to be genuinely enthusiastic and helpful. I'm sure this is going to evolve to a five star destination for me.
Sam Flood
We stopped in at The Lynhall for drinks prior to our reservation at The Nightingale for Valentine’s Day and it was phenomenal. Bottles of wine were half priced so we ordered the Brut Rosé and were not disappointed! The bartender was incredibly nice and encouraged us to come back for brunch sometime. We don’t often give out full fledged 5 stars on Google, but the service was so great and the ambiance was super cool so we thought, why not?! We are anxious to get back here and try their food.
Kaitie Kovach
Great cafe-style restaurant. We went for dinner and really enjoyed the crab croquettes and the shrimp and short rib entrees. Couldn't resist a mini funfetti cake for dessert. We really liked the counter ordering system. It make for a really nice, but also casual date night.
Marcellin Kopandru
Good food. Excellent dinning space. Beautiful decor. Substandard/disappointing service: the bartender and the waiter were too busy socializing with a group which appeared to be their mutual friends vs making sure we got what we ordered. The buss boy on the other hand was very professional and asked for feedback.
Isadora Tures
The Avocado Brioche was amazing- it was gorgeous and I was concerned that it may have been all-looks and no flavor but the brioche was buttery and soft and it gave the whole sandwich a nutty flavor that paired beautifully with the Avocado and lightly picked veggies. I was not so fond of the sweet potato. I'm a big fan of cumin and coriander but the flavors just didn't seem to come together harmoniously for me.
My husband loved the steak sandwich. It was simple enough for my husband's steak-and-potatoes palate but it has some really complex flavors to me. The cheese was perfect.
I had the lemon custard for desert and it was good but not amazing. The coffee was quite good.
The staff was very friendly and helpful as we figured that we should seat ourselves and how to order at the counters. The decor is fresh and bright.
Laura W
Beautiful ambiance, semi casual dining. Food was good but definitely a certain crowd will eat here and moderately pricey. Earl Grey tea was amazing but coffee was too strong for me.
Charlee Pepper
Started my brunch out with one of the best Oat Meil's I have had in a long time. I ordered the Smashed New Potatos and those took me down a amazing Rollercoaster of taste. Server suggested the house made hot sauce. Hooooollly cow! This sauce also takes you down a Rollercoaster of taste. This place is doing it right!

Oh lynhall. What can I say except you extreme coolness gets me every-time. When I arrive and look around I think wow this is where all these people hang out. It’s the perfect brightness (some tables have a bit too much natural light maybe) there is cool wall paper and decorations sprinkling the area. There are plenty of spots so even on busy days you can sit down. At time it is a bit noisy but life is happening so I get over it. In the winter there is a fireplace with comfortable chairs around it. They have great chai, a bomb aperol spritz, and bread for days.
At times it can seem a bit pricey, but it’s an effortless brunch, coffee, drinks, dinner place so I think it’s understandable. I’ve had my share of weird conversations here, but I have been comforted sitting in an oasis of cool.
Gabriela Truelove
Our delicious brunch was served outdoors under a canopy. View of the beautiful mural outside the restaurant
Tristan Klausegger
I visited the Lynhall once when I was new to Minneapolis, in my first summer here when I was looking for happy hour patios. Lynhall had tented their parking lot to offer outdoor service (this was during Covid). It was actually quite cozy, and we had drinks and appetizers. The brussel sprouts were very memorable. A bit pricier than the French Meadow next door, but the quality is definitely there, and the options are unique and upscale.
Chase Nelson
I've been hearing a lot about The Lynhall, so I'm happy I finally got to try it. Great service and affordable food. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
Autumn May
Unforgettable. My choir directors made a point to take the entire choir here when we were al on tour and in Minneapolis and now I cannot wait to go back to Minneapolis so I can go back here. Every detail in every arena flawlessly executed - nothing wanting. What a shame to not have enough money or stomach capacity to have ordered half the menu.
Sanjeev Singh
Great casual place for brunch. Great staff. We loved the ambiance. Very friendly staff. The polenta was very good.
The parking was little difficult to find though.
Anastasiya Melnichuk
My favorite coffee shop in the cities! Great coffee, food and service. The space is perfect to study, enjoy good time with friends or have a professional meeting. Love the interior!
Anna Vasyleva
I don’t even know where to start, everything about the Lynhall is fantastic!
The salads are amazing, staff is super friendly, and the coffee is heavenly!
The baristas/bar tenders know what they’re doing and genuinely want to make sure you’re satisfied with your drinks.
Great place to relax by yourself or even get work done with friends/clients.
I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!
Seth Waterhouse
We were at a wedding. The food was delicious. Polite waitstaff. So friendly. Timely food delivery. Some of the steaks were quite rare, a little too rare even for my taste, but still very good flavor. I really enjoyed my time there. I would recommend this as a small/med wedding/reception venue.
Ariel
Amazing food that tastes even better. Great service too. Recommend!
Lan
Staff was extremely friendly. The interior was beautiful. It was a nice experience. However, the food was just so and so. The menu was small and the portions were small. I got a matcha latte with almond milk and it looked pretty but it tasted like matcha with water. The food was different, but it was also very plain and simple. The hamburger I got was literally just fried cauliflower and lettuce even though it looked fancy. The fries look like they were air fried. I wouldn’t go again because the food was just not it.
Smruti Kimitch
Large space, spread out tables, good service and decent food. We had a nice Valentine's Day here.
Joel Weixel
Open and bright environment. Amazing coffee variety and wonderful food.
Nadesha Richardson
Good muffins, delicious oatmeal. Clearly labeled vegan and vegetarian options. Some options are pricey and expensive sides.
Kris K.
Had the breakfast sandwich and side of bacon. Everything was excellent. The sammy could use some extra sausage tho.
Nirmal sundhar
This place has a beautiful set up and an nice ambience. The food is good. Don't miss the Lynhall blend coffee. It was awesome
Lane Saldana
Staff and servers are attentive and thoughtful. I sat at the bar and can attest that they’re bartenders love their trade. Delicious food, baked goods make me want to move to Minneapolis, and those bathrooms are gorgeous.
Victoria K.
First of all, YUM. Second of all, GORGEOUS. This place is the cutest place with delicious food! We ordered the tomato basil soup & grilled cheese and it seriously was so so so good. You have to check this place out. It also has coffee, tea & bakery items :)
Ally Nissen
service was great, aesthetic was to die for
but what I ordered didn’t quite hit the spot. ginger pumpkin latte was delivered in a pretty pink glass, but it was so hot that I couldn’t pick up the glass to actually drink it. bison hash for my entree had great meet, but the dish was otherwise a bit dry and bland for an $18 meal
overall, not a bad experience by any means but didn’t deliver the flare it’s vibe set me up for
Daniel Hewhodareswins
Pastries were divine. Our service was very good, but you could clearly tell they were not ready for the brunch. Mother's Day brunch entrees were just ok. The duck confit was a bit dry and lackluster in overall flavor but the salad on that plate was awesome. The shakshuka was tasty, but very small in portion size for $45. I'll be back to try something else on their regular menu and update my post.
Update:
Management of Lynhall got ahold of me to offer to send something to me to try another time but I did not receive anything. I was once again contacted by them after commenting on another post telling me they sent something to me but would try again. I asked if they would like to confirm my address, but there has been no further communication. I really wanted to give this place another go, but I guess it isn't in the cards. The pastries were fantastic, but other than that it was not a great experience.
Beth Hodges
Delicious, good menu selection for everyone, meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. Large, well spaced outdoor area during pandemic, felt very safe. Very nice staff.
Shannon Riffel
Vegan options, OAT MILK, and yummy pastries. The environment here is casual and relaxing. I find myself meeting friends here for coffee and a light breakfast more and more. They also have plenty of outlets along the front windows for those looking to get some work done.
Quyen Tang
Great place. Got an apple sidecar and a polenta dish for breakfast. Both were 👌👌👌. The space is also quite large and spacious with ample seating. Would def recommend! …
Rob Bolke
Eggs benny was perfect! Great cut of ham, on sourdough, with a rich...yet light hollandaise, and a perfectly poached egg. The taters may have even been better!
Nick H
Yummy food and excellent serving staff. Walk up to the counter to take a look at their clip-board menu and let the food speak for itself. Impossible not to Instagram your plate...
Madison Foerderer
This place is so cute. I’ve had brunch here a couple of times with friends. The food is great. The only downside for me is I just don’t enjoy the coffee here. However, still a great brunch spot!
Abby Fleck
Amazing breakfast! The shakshuka was perfection. The aesthic is gorgeous, very clean and welcoming. The coffee is amazing. This will certainly become a regular spot for me.
Pranav Maddula
Good food, cool seating and excellent service. However, portions are small and the food is pricy
Daryle Mindeman
The Lynhall is located on Lyndale Ave, just south of The Wedge Food Coop. Wood interior & classy design with a laid back feel. I liked the fall spiced latte, made with vanilla & cloves, etc. Great looking food too.
Sarah Bauer
Cute place, order at the counter and seat yourself. Good for large groups of people. The food was delicious but small portions.
Tom Taylor
This place is very cool and unique. A cross between neighborhoody and chic. European style food hall. Awesome food, small serving sizes. Not overpriced.
Ryan McGee
This was an incredible spot for lunch.
If you are interested in pastries, go early. They only get so many each day and do run out.
Sruthi Venkataramanababu
We went here for a Saturday morning brunch. We called ahead to make a reservation for their outdoor seating. We had our puppy with us.
We took one of their brunch combos ( mimosa, tofu scramble and blueberry muffin). We also additionally added a side of toast.
Food was great. But service was once again on the slower side. The coffee, mimosa and muffin arrived as soon as we ordered. However, we spent more than half an hour waiting for one entree and side of toast. While we didn’t intend to have a super quick meal, waiting more than a half hour for just one entree is a bit too much.
Grace Glover
Obviously everything was lovely. Pimms to die for. Great bunch great service.
Catriona Stuart
Excellent food, great service and a lovely vibe. We had our wedding brunch here and the team went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We also got TONS of positive feedback on the food and pastries! And I can’t forget to call out the cake which was delicious.
Ben “Yung Hinoki” Wu
Lots of great things to say about this place. Very thoughtful design from interior to food. Every detail is spot on. I’ve been a few times and never felt a negative experience. Perhaps a little confusing to navigate upon first arrival and may be intimidating for introverts who don’t like open spaces and tons of people sitting too close. Good range of flavors and options, portions are average to smaller but I find a perfect amount. Staff are helpful and very nice. They coffee is fantastic for not being the focus, very unexpected. Again, the decor is elegant and bathrooms are fun. I like the openness of the whole place, it gives the atmosphere a creative flow.
shane Burgess
I wouldn't say the Wednesday brunch scene is the best gauge for an eatery. That being said, the service was tidy and organized. The French cafe themed menu hit on the taste but the portions were almost too big. The layout is light and airy with Bowie quietly playing on the speakers. I would absolutely return.
Mindy Ward
Excellent food! Wonderful space for gathering and celebrating.
Mahina Reyes
Attended this location for a private event. Staff of location were really friendly and the drinks were on point. An okay wine selection, you may want to call to see what the offer during regular hours. Even with a small selection it piqued my interest to visit this location again during regular business hours.
Dianne Schuchard
We had a great lunch experience. Once again, my restaurant impression starts when I walk up to the door. Large windows fill the area with natural light. The decor is rustic paired with urban loft. Loved it ❤️. We cook good food at home so when we go out I do appreciate wonderful ambience. The menu is perfect. It's a Goldilocks menu, not to big, not to small... just right. It's not confusing or overwhelming. Our lunch Chicken Pot Pie and the Salmon Sandwich outstanding. Very tasty!! This is a restaurant we would recommend and visit again.👍
Edgar V
Food and drinks are really good. Never had latte served in a glass before. The brunch is really good. Parking also available. Would go back again. The Martini is really awesome.
Carolyn
Great variety!! A lot of food and coffee and alcoholic drink options so it’s great you can bring a group of friends who’s all craving something different because there’s something for everyone!
Brittany Stamer
We used the Lynhall as an event space for our wedding. We worked with Kiri and could not have been happier with every detail she helped with! Our food, cake, the coordination, help with music, and ambience were incredible. I highly recommend for your wedding or any event!

Nice place. Best pastries in town so far!
Sharon Yang
solid food, great hang out ambience. had the grilled cheese with apple – rang in at $11.
Sasha DeMarre
Went for brunch with a friend and split the Brunch Bundle with mimosas, coffee, an almond croissant, salad, potatoes, and eggs benedict. It was the perfect amount for our girl’s brunch, or a great option for one if you’re feeling hungry. The almond croissant was melt-in-your-mouth good. The potatoes were seasoned well and had a nice crisp. The eggs benedict was cooked perfectly and the sauce was savory with just a little bit of sweet. Definitely recommend! Staff were helpful and tables were spaced well for social distancing.
scott soule
I had a cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso,
A cup of squash soup,
And the beet salad.
Wait staff, and host staff were excellent, the food was awesome, and I may not sleep tonight because the coffee was so good.
Love this place!❤️

Best coffee shop in town
- Cozy and modern atmosphere
- Tasty food and drink
Han Kim
Amazing place great coffee and delicious food.
Jeremy Mabis-Rowe
Recently ate here and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the atmosphere was. We had an extremely friendly server and a bartender who was really professional and knowledgeable about pairing cocktails with dinner. Will be going back for sure. Be sure to try their spicy ketchup !
Ryan Calvin
Fun venue and great outdoor seating. We ordered from the "family menu" which consisted of four different dishes brought out family style. The food was not only tasty but of good quality and just the right amount in quantity. We will be returning to this establishment.
Kate L
Been here a few times, and have had nothing but positive experiences. The menu is great (especially for brunch!), the servers are friendly, and the whole place has a great atmosphere. Nice to cozy up by the fire when the weather is less than tropical too!
The best thing I tried was probably the polenta.
Sean Miner
The Lynhall is a great option for brunch. Their Classic Eggs Benedict was executed flawlessly, and the Polenta Breakfast was extremely well balanced and flavorful. The honey rhubarb mojito (bourbon based and therefore maybe closer to a mint julep) was also delicious. We had a large group for a birthday, and the service was attentive and friendly.

I enjoy coming here on my own, for dinner dates, coffee meetings, or bringing groups. The atmosphere is really lovely. Coffee taste great, food is always fund to try from the case, as well as hot off the menu. Love going there in the evening to have a cocktail and a little mac and cheese to satisfy my cravings. Definitely check this place out for a casual night, or even a little fancy one.
Negma Farah
A fav place to brunch in my household.
Gianni Quilici
We had a great time at The Lynhall, as always. Their tables are well spaced apart, the menu is virtual, and they check people’s temps as they come in, so you can have a family meal without worrying too much about COVID.
Great food, of course. Today was my first time trying the short ribs omelette and it was amazing, maybe my favorite item on the menu. My wife had the polenta dish which was delicious too.
The pastries and coffee are always a go-to, so no surprise there.
We’ll be back!
Xander Hauz
Great place to go for brunch. Could tell our server was new but he was really resourceful and attentive.
Love the food that we ordered potato skillet was a realy surprising combo that feels that works.
You can just tell theres a lot of attention to details from pastrys to drinks.
Tu Tu
Pretty descent brunch, a good selection with pastry options. Got the egg omelet with ribs and the portion was good, the potatoes were cooked perfectly as well. Outside seating is a plus!
Walt Cygan
As you walk in, you can grab a clipboard with a menu and drinks list. Go to the back of the place to order. The service at the counter was great. Very helpful and friendly. There were many places to sit and the ambiance was very comfortable. The food arrived promptly and was hot. Everything was delicious. Great wine and beer choices. I have nothing bad to say about the Lynhall. Good food and drinks at reasonable prices and a great atmosphere to enjoy them.
Tom Meckey
This is one of my favorite meeting spots. The coffee and food is amazing. The space is incredible and the staff is awesome. Love it.
Sue McAlpin
We were at an intimate wedding reception for our daughter and son in law last night at The Lynhall. It was amazing! Sarah and Nate took such good care of us, they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and having a wonderful time!! The service and the food were out of this world!!
Trust me, you need to check out this restaurant and small venue for your event!
Geno Benshoof
Burger was ok , the salad looked amazing
Bita M
(+): Awesome coffee- Beautiful and clean interior- Polite staff- great pastries/ (-): My folded egg did not have any taste, seemed they did not add even salt to it. My bacon was rock hard, and I tried hard to be able to cut it and I couldn't, so I tried to eat it like chips! I did not get full, after brunch I was still hungry, so I had lunch when I got home. Also, there should be at least one option for people on keto diet.
Cole Carter
Classy hipster joint. Food was great as was the atmosphere - line to get food/coffee was very long. The food is made fresh to order (no servers here, order yourself and they drop it off at the table). The coffee is very good - they were giving out free samples when I was here. If you are getting tired of French Meadows, deffinetly give this place a shot. They also have a weird living room eating area which is perfect for chilling with a few friends. Check it out. Staff is super friendly and very accommodates well.
Mike Lee
I live in Kansas City and I just ordered Thanksgiving dinner for my mother who lives near the Edina location. The owner Annie personally took care of me and is going to make sure my mother can get her Thanksgiving dinner since we can't all be together.
The thanksgiving menu looks terrific and is mostly gluten free which is how my mother has to eat. Her willingness to assist me and customer service is over the top. She has already set up a time with my mother for the food to be delivered. I am sure my mother will have a new best friend after it is delivered.
I can't wait to dine here when I can get back to see my mom.
Janell Smith
Great event space! Had an event here a few days ago in one of the private rooms. The room is really interesting the food is super good. We had a family style meal and everything was presented very well. When I'm stopped in here before I just gotten coffee and a muffin to check it out. That was great as well and I loved the atmosphere. There is a little bit of parking on the side but at times it can get busy. When I brought the group we came in a van so parking was not an issue for us.
Ingi E
everything here tastes great, the service is amazing, and the place feels welcoming
Sara Cudemo
Amazing aesthetics. Really well designed and awesome baked goods and breakfasts
Jake Freeberg
This is a very nice place. Upscale and somewhat expensive, but not so high end that you have to dress up for it. The Swedish Meatballs and Twilight Cocktail were great. I might skip the Cheese board and Polenta we also ordered. They just were nothing special.
Amanda Hennen
Amazing! One of the best eggs benedict I've ever had for sure. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is always lovely, and the service is great. A great brunch spot.
Giovanni G
Decent food, but slow service. We went here with our toddler and waited about 40 minutes from when we ordered at the counter until we were served. Not kid friendly really, no kids menu, no booster seats (they did have high chairs) and no crayons or coloring paper. I probably wouldn't go back again with small kids. The food itself was good but not amazing, and not exactly cheap.
Maisong Francis
Great pastries and coffee. If you come earlier in the morning, the pastries are sometimes still warm. Overall very good, but I didn't care for the cup the coffee drink came in. Felt a mug would've been easier to hold.
Halsey Hall Lindquist
I've ordered the classic eggs benedict twice because both times the menu item that I originally ordered was said to have been all out at that particular time. I love the varying sizes of tables. With seating arrangements like living room chairs, small outdoor sidewalk tables and large long indoor tables you can accommodate almost any size gatherings. Order at the cashier and they'll bring your food to you. But the coffee is self-serve!
Taylor Peterson
We came here on a Saturday morning for brunch with a group of 5. We were able to get a table right away. The seating is first come, first serve. You order at the counter, and then they bring your food out to you. They have a great brunch deal where you get a coffee, bloody mary or mimosa, entree, and pastry. We thought lunch would also be served, but they only serve brunch through the lunch hour. The food and drinks were very good. Will definitely be back!
Cassandra Harvey
Lynhall is an interesting dining experience. We ordered at a counter, deli style, but the menu is upscale...as are the prices. The portions are okay but definitely not generous if you have a big appetite. We ordered several items to share and of everything we ordered, we agreed we would only eat the bread plate again. The bread and butter was delicious! Everything else did not seem worth the price. I would come back and try breakfast though.
George Daniel
Probably the most attractive scenery for Minneapolis coffee shops. The coffee is hot and they offer free refills, plus you don't have to bus your own table. Also the pastries are awesome. Lastly the baristas and staff are charming.
BUT I don't trust the management. My car was hit in the parking lot and they weren't willing to check the tapes to see who did it (no note was left either). They skirted it in a fishy way. I'd love to give a five star review, but this means a lot to me.
Also if you need an outlet for a charger, don't go here. There are very few.
Andrea Godsave
The location is more than beautiful. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this venue for small or large groups. The menu features a large variety of items for small to large plates. And the presentation of the food could not be any better. Specialty drinks are also great. If you have not made it out here, be sure to check it out. You will be a repeat customer like I am.
Leah Brooks
I thought i loved the dinner here until we went for brunch. OMG sitting at the bat eating my croissant and sipping coffee genuinely gave me vibes of being in Paris. Their coffee is serve yourself out of a couple different big carafes so i wasn't expecting much but it was actually fantastic. I got shakshuka and polenta fries and was amazed by the depth of flavor. My bf got something with shrimp and said it was great too. The meal was a little pricey but overall fantastic. Definitely will be back!
Tobias Mösle
Ruined Mothers Day - We ordered take-out brunch at the Lynhall on Mothers day, and they forgot our quiche. We understood that they were extremely busy that morning and it was a mistake, but the brunch was not cheap, and it was the main course, leaving us needing to purchase another quiche last-minute from a grocery store, which cost us another $20. We immediately called twice and left feedback via email, but noone has reached out. Understand it was a mistake, but they should have tried to make it right afterwards instead of blowing us off- we will definitely not be returning. Edit: after I left a comment on their Instagram they reached out to me and refunded us in full. Their phone system was down so they couldn’t take any calls or listen to the voicemail. We will definitely be back to actually try some of their food.
Keli Gilbertson
Always my first choice when we have big groups. Beautiful, modern space with lots of big long tables and counter service. Lots of menu options for veggie and vegan friends as well as a really wonderful coffee program.
Jinsoo Choi
Good taste of desserts and coffee. Nice interior.
Julia Holm
The atmosphere is classy yet comfortable. The pastry display is eye candy. Get a cheesecake sandwhich cookie - it's heaven! The egg on a crepe breakfast is the perfect size, so delicious- will be back for it! Friendly staff. I'm proud to have this place in Minneapolis and would recommend it to everyone.
Emily Preston
I had my wedding here and it was an incredibly perfect venue from atmosphere, space, food, drink and flexibility with the events staff. I worked with Erin to make my day become a reality and I can't think of one thing that went unplanned. Erin worked with us well ahead of time on our ceremony, menu, wine and beer needs, dessert, timing and layout. She worked behind the scenes with our day-of-coordinator and those two worked some serious magic behind the scenes.
Multiple guests commented on the space and how beautiful it was and that it was a perfect, cozy winter wedding. And guests LOVED the food. The short ribs, mashed potatoes and roasted chicken with mushrooms were huge hits. I had many compliments on the quality of the food, which was always hot and the staff made sure the flow of the lines was good and that food was always replenished. We also had a hot vegetable (brocollini) and a salad. We picked 3 mini desserts. One thing I really appreciated was that the chefs and bakers would have worked with us to make special off-menu selections. We ended up keeping it simple but just knowing that is an option is a big plus for future special events and weddings. They accommodate for children and dietary needs as well. Everyone was able to eat a filling and delicious dinner and dessert!
We had the ceremony in the Ambleside room in front of the mantle and it was so lovely, they had the room set-up perfectly and took it down seamlessly before the reception.
I really can't speak more highly of having our wedding here. Every detail was attended to and nothing was overlooked. It went as smoothly as possible and now this restaurant will always hold an extra special place in my heart.
Miquel Medina
Classy and cozy spot to grab a quick bite or just hang out for a while. Counter-service only, but the staff is super helpful and friendly. The dishes lean towards the pricier side, but I think it's worth it once in a while. As far as the food goes, the few things I tried were outstanding. Definitely worth checking out.
Kimberly Rashad
They had this tomato jam that I loved. They do t Serve the dish it came with anymore though. Quality food in a upscale yet casual setting.
Julia A
The Lynhall has an amazing indoor open space with a fire place. During winter it’s a great spot to grab a cup of coffee and sit by the fire and enjoy it. Their food is amazing. And they had a big variety of pastries to choose from to go along with your drink.
I will highly recommend for others to check this place out!
Uri Neren
$22 for mediocre eggs n coffee? The environment is nice here but you can get better eggs down the street at two different places that care about the neighborhood and the environment for 1/3 the price. There's nothing high quality, environmentally sound, or healthy about the ingredients or preparation here even though they pretend it is - the space and food are just dressed in yuppie packaging.
Allie Mehra
Hands-down, one of the best places to have brunch or coffee in the twin cities right now. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. Portions aren't necessarily large for the price, but the flavor is amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful. Super friendly staff, too.
M Burnett
Good for brunch or lunch. Super inconvenient for ordering more than one cocktail. You have to return to the end of the line for a second drink or if you decide to get dessert. Some items were overcooked and not as enjoyable. ("Soft" cooked eggs and the lemon poppyseed dessert was way overdone.) The switchel cocktail was so good! Disappointed we had to wait so long to order a second. I probably won't go out of my way to visit again.
Kathryn Nelson
Our first time dining out after Covid amd it was very nice! It was a little windy outside but that couldn't really be helped. The stagf was cheery and the food was very tasty. The portions were bigger than I've experienced in the past, which was a nice surprise!
Keith Ford
In addition to the bar service and casual food service that features, among other things, their wonderful bakery, you can buy bread to go. Everyday they feature a different kind of sourdough bread and it is terrific. The type of sourdough bread apparently changes every day but I haven't noticed much of a change. For me it's simply very, very good bread. So much so that we pick up fresh bread probably three times a week.
TIP - they often run out by mid-afternoon. Also you can order in advance and have it ready when you show up - and they'll slice it for you if you wish
Vye Shay
Delicious coffee, and an overall wonderful space. This is a great work space! Met here for a meeting, and it was easy to hear one another with just the right level of background noise to give privacy for our conversation. Plus, there is a parking lot!!!
Abhishek Reddy Chamakura
This a very good place to collaborate and work as a team or individual. They have good collection of in house made bakery items , plenty of tea and coffee options. They also serve liquor and food. Service is very good and friendly.the pricing is also reasonable.
Very neatly maintained , staff was very friendly , ambience was very good
They do have free parking in the back.
Ashley Junghans
Always amazing food and coffee here. While it is still warm enough to do so, go enjoy a meal at an outdoor table. As an aside, I got the Impossible Burger and it was delicious!
Chelsea McCay-Bachtiar
Only giving it 4 stars because the portions are a little small for the price. Otherwise I loved this place. Bottomless coffee with an awesome vibe and a limited amount of patio seating. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.
Jake Moroshek
Had a reservation and were not seated at a proper table. Requested to be reseated, and were ignored.
The menu is somewhat limited, but food is quite good... Though, I was still hungry after finishing my meal.
J Storkamp
Very attentive server, great food, was a smidge loud during brunch.
Aniela Crescini
The breakfast poutine was my favorite breakfast! I would have it every time, and now it is no longer on the menu. Pleaseeee put it back on the menu!
I’ve also had the eggs benny before too...also very delicious!
The roasted chicken and farro was to die for as well!
Ughhh I love this place
Mike Kurfess
Beautiful cafe to enjoy good food and coffee. They change up the menu every so often and everything is delicious. It can get a little pricey but worth it if you stay and hang out. It’s a fun place to get good food and get work done in a relaxing atmosphere.
Karen Sedlacek
Had great breakfast good today! Our party ejoyef the mushroom tartine, waffle with peaches, syrup & whipped cream, and spicy potatoes with a poached eggs. Plus an assortment of bakery items. One food better than the next! Walk in, take the clip board menu and go to the back to order. When ready, your food will be delivered to your table.
Barbara Norrgard
Picked up dinner and dessert for 4 last night in the middle of Covid. Food was excellent! We had salmon that was prepared to perfection, stayed moist and tasty- even after we drove home to eat it. e
Cary Walski
This place is like walking into a Williams Sonoma catalog. The high hipster vibe may make you feel under coiffed, but the service is great and the food and drinks are excellent. Forgive them their handle bar mustaches, sit down, and enjoy a damn good cup of coffee.
John Jameson
Pleasant atmosphere. Makes me feel real cozy. Unique food menu. Coffee is better than average. Deserts look amazing, haven't tried them yet.
Robin G
The craft cocktails are so creative. Love the atmosphere, very relaxed and amazing attention to detail. Yummy pork belly sandwich on amazing bread!! Going back with a group of friends for sure!!
Ashley Janssen
Beautiful little spot with great food!
Andy Hawkins D.C.
I've been extraordinarily impressed by The Lynhall. When you step foot in the building, you'll understand!
From the friendly staff to the wide selection of coffee and food options, you'll want to set up your laptop and stay awhile.
And as a last testimony, for those who frequent coffee shops around the area, they have outlets!
Lauren Tomlinson
I live out of state now but managed to make the Lynhall a priority, visiting 2x in 4 days. Men don't seem to be very impressed but every woman I've taken or talked about it with has been hugely impressed. It's just beautiful, all my friends try to mimic its design 😁 the food is also great, I've gotten 4-5 different dishes and several pastries and each one was beautiful and delicious. Prices aren't too bad and everything is adorable, what's not to want?
Becca Freeman
The place was great for the event we had, but I didn't think the service was spectacular. It was slow, we had to ask for water, and it was a high tea and they didn't have unlimited amounts of tea. I heard people saying the drinks weren't anything special either. I like the space, but service could be improved.
Erin GIll
Great place for brunch. Beautiful environment, great food, and friendly service. Fun place with very unique and rustic chic vibes. Only complaint was I didn’t think the coffee was as good as it could have been.
Char Terrana
Love the vibe, the open yet cozy decor, creative coffee drinks, and the food is prepared and served with care. So far we've had breakfast and lunch there and I can't wait to try it for dinner. However, a simple cup of coffee is quite expensive!
Danielle Jirele
Very unique and interesting pastries and plates. A little pricey for the portion size but great quality ingredients and worth it for something that would be challenging to make at home. It was hard to pick just one thing- I am eager to go back!
Brett Donnelly
My favorite cafe in all of the twin cities. Excellent espresso, great atmosphere, amazing food/pastries, and even serves alcohol. I work a lot from coffee shops and prefer the Lynhall over all others!
michael rock
i wish we could have spent more time here, the interior is absolutely gorgeous; it's clean, simple and cozy all at once. the menu mirrored the decor, and the coffee/tea menu was both interesting and classic at the same time. i absolutely loved my time here
Juhyun Kwon
Always a great place to eat. They have great bakery selection and food menu that caters to all dietary needs. Also their interior is amazing. I love how bright it gets in the common area!!
Nicholas Konetzke
I had a mimosa, a chocolate croissant, and the shakshuka. Everything was amazing, I just wish the mimosa had no pulp. Still a 5 star experience though.
Judy M.
August 2020: came back during pandemic and the food is just as good plus they do a good job of protecting customers and staff from virus exposure. Tables far apart (12 feet?) outside under high awning, everyone masked up, tables wiped down constantly. This pandemic is so tedious.
Aug 2019: High ceilings, fantastic chow (crispy spicy fried red potatoes, plus best burger and more elevated always fresh and overachieving offerings), chill yet warm (!) waitstaff, great buzzy vibe. This place is a community asset - they have salon-type speakers occasionally, professional kitchens you can rent to develop your own culinary killer app, plus a big room can be closed off for a private party. Industrial chic.
Laura K
This place is chill and tasty any time of day or night. We love the pastries and coffee, the food menu and cocktails and the overall ambiance. They have a small parking lot, but we often find a spot!
Mike Larson
I'm not traditionally a cocktail drinker but they make some really great drinks here that has got me looking to that portion of the menu more often. Food is on par with the drinks. One of my favorite places.
Bess Kandle
The food was delicious but I didn't expect a 15-20 minute wait to order food because you have to go to the counter. Due to chronic pain I have trouble standing for long periods and order at the counter restaurants are a nightmare for me. Luckily we had a reservation so I waited for my friends to get close to the front before I joined them. I'll probably only be back for take out if I order ahead.
Jessica Norgaard
I liked the decor, mimosa, location, the pretty yogurt, and the London Fog drink but found the 3 dishes we ordered to be rather mediocre. I would go again because they change menu items regularly just to see if it was a fluke.
Christopher Howe
Ok, so it's unique when you come in. You get the lay of things, and then find a clipboard and instructions on where to go. Peruse the items and order at the counter while staring at massive pastries you won't have room for later on. Coffee is hot and fresh and the mug was nice in the hand. The bison hash was smoky with tender cubed pieces of bison and other proportional things like Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, and sweet potatoes. Eggs on the side and some rocket on top. Wicked half slice of buttered toast with a nice aroma. Busy but the food came quickly. Staff were kind and knowledgeable.
Andrew Meggs
This place was great! I LOVED the more country-esque decor (I'm a sucker for wood stuff; especially the open rafters they have there). You order at the counter, which I'm kind of on the fence if I like or not, and they bring it to your table, which is mostly long wooden benches (once again...enh?). Still, everyone was friendly and the food was AMAZING. I had the scones and while they were a tad too salty, I still found them absolutely delicious. The bloody mary's were very interesting, as well. Super fennel-y. But it led to an odd mixture of tastes that overall I enjoyed. Would recommend.
Carolyn Smith
Potentially the best breakfast I have ever had. I never write reviews but every aspect of this meal was delicious. Came for the atmosphere, stayed for the food. Service was also very friendly and prompt.
Will Dinski
Place looks nice. The two different sandwiches we ordered tasted the same, and weren't particularly memorable. Friendly staff. If I go back, will just have coffee.
Scott Wilke
Wonderful staff. Amazing atmosphere and the food is to die for. Don't forget pastries they are amazing!
Dwight Anderson
Lovely "third place", cashier and servers were great. Happy atmosphere. People working, talking, relaxing. Nice physical space.
Might be too much ambient noise for folks with hearing aids....
Rachel Herr
It does not get more instagram-friendly than the Lynhall! Amazing coffee/tea drinks, dream-worthy pastry case, and decent food, it's almost a perfect 5-star! The only thing is that the food is just good, not great, and is very expensive. The chai tea cinnamon roll is the best thing in this place though - do not miss that opportunity!
Joshua Davis
It's hard to do unique french toast, but this place managed. I'd have the French toast again.
Henry Raether
Coffee served cold. Ordered pre-made pastries that we asked be heated up. Waited 10 min for pastries that we had to check up on twice and were served cold. Cool aesthetics but relatively inexperienced staff.
Lauren Aust
The perfect brunch, study, or coffee date spot. Love the open concept with lots of seating. Free parking and good wifi too. Only downside is that it takes forever to get any type of coffee drink.
James Pham
Lynhall is one of the top cafes in Minneapolis. The interior has hints of modern French with large separate spaces and an abundance of natural light against mainly white decor make for a clean and refreshing environment. Ordering up front at the counter is simple and the food is delicious and fair priced. Try the best biscuit and gravy here for $12; it's the best version you'll taste anywhere!
Morgan Burton
I always make a stop at The Lynhall when I am in Minneapolis. Its light and open dining hall style seating allow for as much or as little conversation as you like.
I'm a fan of breakfast, so this time I had the polenta breakfast skillet and kombucha to get my day started. It was all very tasty, and I plan to visit again the next time I'm in town!
Kathy Maxwell
The food was amazing. BUT, if I am going to wait in line, order at the counter, try and find an empty table and refill my own drinks I'm gonna need either bigger portions or smaller prices. It was brunch so maybe lunch is different? It wasn't amazing enough to find out any time soon.
Rachel Domenichetti
Somehow this spot is doing it all! Dropping in right now for some wine, work, and to-go food. Last week we had a spontaneous dinner for 7 people. Lynhall has the space for large groups and we shared everything family style. The meats were tender and delicious. We couldn't pick a favorite side. I loved the beet and farro salad, tomato tart, and the polenta. I'll probably stop in for coffee, pastries, and work this weekend. Best restaurant to open in Uptown in FOREVER. Thank you! And for the people who are like, OMG so confused, it's like Common Roots, but 1000% better.
Dannah Dean
My London fog and shakshuka were delicious! They had a nice selection of GF options for my friend and the desserts were beautiful and tasty. This is a fun place and I'll come back.
Faye Kelley
very delicious food! beautifully displayed and filling! the almond croissant is recommended by me! For Covid, the seating was well spaced, and I felt comfortable.
Ayse Irem
I love the menu overall. Especially shakshuka. I hope the chef reads this. The ratio is a bit off. You need more eggplants in shakshuka. Coffee specials are amazing. Matcha one specifically.
Sarah Morrison Olson
There’s so much to like about this place! But every time there are just little hospitality misses that make it less than perfect — unknowledgeable staff, getting water is tough because you have to wait for a bartender to refill for you instead of just having carafes available, not opening Pellegrino so we have to go back to the counter, not giving napkins with food. And this last time, the giant hair/dust ball in the bathroom was disturbing. I hope you clean your kitchen better than your public restrooms!
Aaron Larkin
Ate New Years brunch year to kick off 2020. Super tasty food, cool atmosphere, and quick service. All 3 of us were so happy we decided to change our plans last minute and end up here.
Ulvard Jaswal
Good food but not for everyone
Willow Muscovitz
Everything is wonderful here. Savory crepes, pastries, elegant (and delicious) cocktails and tea/coffee drinks... You can take a date, bring the family or just work or read solo. Lovely place!
Rohan Hemrajani
Love the atmosphere. They had put together a very nice outdoor tent in the parking lot during the pandemic summer. Love this spot for brunch!
Tracy Reese
Warm and inviting with excellent counter service. The shirt rib toasty was delicious and I don't like meat! The roasted Brussels sprouts were devine and the fondue sauce on the burger - oh my!
Jeff Forrester
Very good selection of pastries and cocktails. Had a couple of the small plates and was very happy. The ambiance was very warm and cozy so I was in no rush to leave.
Tim Marass
Such a wonderful place! Great for coffee and pastries or for dinner and cocktails. It's a low key environment with ordering at the bar or from the counter in back.
Neeti Kambale
Great ambiance! Food was delicious. I ordered the mushroom toast and Orange blossom almond roll. Really yummy. Good place for groups.
Steffi Johnson
Lynhall is absolutely delicious. Have't had or seen anything that didn't look amazing. They have a huge space, and service is fast casual, order in line and then take a seat and food will be brought to you. It does seem like they are still adapting to their immense popularity. If you go at a peak time the place does look quite full and leaves you wondering if you'll get a seat after ordering, turnover is pretty quick and that's never actually been a problem before, but is a strangely stressful place to find yourself if you're in a group.
What knocked off a star for me was the their coffee, it's self serve, which is totally fine, but they had one crafe or regular and one of decaf for the entire packed restaurant and it ran out every few minutes, it was an elusive thing trying to get your coffee or warm it up. Just invest in a few more crafes and it will be perfect!
Morgan Redemann
A great place for Saturday brunch with friends! A real wood fireplace made for an especially cozy atmosphere after an April snowstorm. I ordered the shakshouka and my significant other ordered the morning poutine - both excellent! The shakshouka had depth and richness in flavor, embellished with the cucumber-mint avocado cream, one of the better shakshoukas I've had for brunch! The poutine was a midwesterner's dream dish - braised beef ribs with cheese curds to add flair to the fries, covered with béarnaise. The cheese curds added an accent of bold dairy nut-notes to make this dish even more indulgent! Highly recommend brunch, with friends, a book, or work.
Cathy Schlegel
Chai tea doesn't have much flavor, though the chai cinnamon roll was very good. I had the eggs benedict, and it wasn't good. Having it served on bread pudding is a big mistake. There is no crunch, so it just tastes like mush. Plus the bread pudding was pretty tasteless. The ham was good, except a third of it was a big fat peice. There was also an eggshell in my food. I won't be back.
Ashwin Mathews
Their deserts and coffee are what I really go here for. The croissants are spot on. They have decent food options but nothing that really stands out for me.
Laura Rose
What a cool space! It is filled with a lot of natural light. The chai latte and blueberry muffin were delicious.
Aubrey Olson
High level of noise! Had a meeting here and it was so loud even when it was fairly empty. The food was great but ordering process could use a little help. Might be easier if there was more than one person.
Sergio Najera
Amazing decorations, amazing staff members, the entire feel and look of the place was phenomenal and staggering!! Would recommend to everybody who wants to grab some quick coffee or tea or food with someone and feel extremely comfortable
Iselin Donaldson
The Lynhall is a favorite place for our team at MAVEN to meet with clients! The environment is welcoming, the service is terrific, and the curated food and beverage offerings are truly top notch! Also a fabulous place for a weekend brunch! A Minneapolis-must for sure!
Peter Thomas
This place is big, bright, roomy, and also somehow cozy....sort of like a cafeteria, but with warmly artful and vintage decor, giant tables of heavy wood slabs, iridescent romanesque glasses scattered around the wraparound shelving, intermixed with antique farm country kitchen items.
The servers are friendly, attentive, engaging, in almost perpetual motion, but with palpable cameraderie...the coffee is pricey, but bracing, yummy, and bottomless.....and the food is amaaaaaazzzzzziiiiiing !!!
Some of the absolute best croissants and Danishes...(May Day Café is another peer!)...
today I had a savory Danish ...lush, juicy Roma tomato, Romano cheese?... basil, asiago...so good I had to stop myself from crying while writing this since I can't just have another one right now !!!
A lot of different communities represented among the throngs.....you get in here too !!!
Devin Batkiewicz
Decent restaurant/bar/coffee shop. A hybrid vibe of being able to get work done but also have an atmosphere conducive to conversation. They didn't tell me that they didn't have what I ordered until a substitute (which I couldn't have) reached my table. They were unable to make it right.
Lauren Nelson
Had a great time at Lynhall yesterday for brunch! Enjoyed the egg crepe and a cappuccino. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, and will be heading back myself for more delicious food!
Jim Steffel
What a marvelous addition to LynLake. Large bright and warm welcoming space with lots of original food and drink options all of it created with the same joyful mastery. Warm and welcoming serving staff. Can't wait to visit again.
Adam Kobler
Cozy place with great food! The brunch special is perfect for standing a little of everything. Highly recommend for a casual breakfast/brunch with friends.
Brian Hon
Fantastic food, and quick knowledgeable service. Plate side is relatively small, but the quality makes up for it. The daily bread starter was the underdog winner of the meal.
Dustin W
Staff is amazing and was the best part of our experience. Cocktails are unique. Place is emaculate. Would definitely recommend for large groups!
Olivia Bernauer
Super delicious pastries and creative coffees. Loved the fun, hip atmosphere of the restaurant. Food was beautiful and creative; service was quick.
Sophie Wallerstedt
This is one of my favorite places on Lyndale. A one-stop shop for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or an afternoon pick-me-up. Quiet in the mornings, with delicious pastries. Would highly recommend trying their feral kombucha or one of their switchels!
Jenna Powers-Page
Overly complicated polenta, with toppings that make no sense and a $6 coffee "drink" served in shot glass. The saving grace here is the amazing pastries and great service.
Steph B
Had the french tartine with Brie fondue. So delicious!!! They actually know how to make a legitimate latté (i.e. It tastes like coffee and not just steamed milk).
It is beautifully restored. I loved admiring the beautiful craftsmanship.
Suzanne Hanle
Yummmm so good. Have never had anything on the menu I didn’t like. Absolutely love the atmosphere and the quiet study room is a great place for a book!
Pamela Nelson
Tried small plates: potatoes, collard greens, roasted mushrooms, couscous salad and pistacio-rhubarb cake. All very good. Atmosphere is casual. Noise level, loud.
Arjun Berry
I liked the interior and the overall seating. It's definitely classy and very clean. We got an early grey tea and a latte(in the picture).
Chris Lance
Casual atmosphere with a touch of elegance. Satisfying, comforting dishes that are well-presented and well-priced, with options that cover a variety of diets. This place is a new favorite!
Jenny Ness
Fantastic spot with fantastic food. I will be back for more! I had the pork belly with egg, and it was delicious. Also grabbed some banana cakes for a dinner party later and they were a hit.
Asa Morral
Great patio seating. Scones and Gravy was good not great. Great glass of cold brew.
Brandon Wold
The staff is friendly, the space is gorgeous, and there is a wide variety of food and pastry options to choose from. Great for Saturday brunch.
Nicole Battle
This place has an exceptional atmosphere and very friendly staff. Not to mention good food, coffee, drinks and pastries! One of my favorite weekend spots.
Zelda Curti
Love this new place, excellent food and drinks. Want to help them choose a better coffee bean and can offer and help with more vegan options which I know they are capable of concocting- but the experience and the vibe is great!!
Erin Toner
Decor and ambience are perfect. I thought the breakfast/brunch items were significantly overpriced for the quantity. May try dinner menu to see if that balance is better.
Leah Norris
Wonderful food. Pretentious atmosphere. I watched as several customers came in as first timers and were confused, but not helped to work their way around. Try it for food, learn your way, and then go back.
Josh Brook
Have tried multiple things on the menu and it's all been great! Cocktails are awesome too.
You can also set up and work here, too.
Raha Moaddeli
Filled with natural light, Open, nicely decorated floor plan. Nice waiters, great bathroom wall papers. Good food.
Scott Wolfert
Love going here, the bottomless coffee and a pastry really hit the spot in the cozy space. It does get busy during peak times, but there is usually ample space.
Taylor Kneatson
The food was fabulous but our bartender didn't know how to make our cocktails (martini) and it took them almost 10 minutes to get our drinks to us and the place wasn't that busy. Would go back for the food and just stick to beer next time.
MacLean Hawley
THE BREAD Y'ALL. THEY'VE MADE SOME BREAD TO MAKE MINNESOTA PROUD. Really great breakfast food too (best tofu scramble in the state!). Only thing to note is that it's not a great place to work at, even if it's slow, since there's pretty much out a free outlet in the place, even though it kinda gives off a cafe vibe.
Patrick Fuentes
Great staff, excellent menu, beautiful space – this place has a lot going for it. The food was delicious, beautiful, and surprisingly filling.
I'm glad this joined the scene
Lani Basa
Love The Lynhall for meetings , brunch, lunch, dinner, coffee, just because... 😊 …
Jen Gisler
I love the feel of this place. It is stylish but still very comfortable. The food is really good but a bit expensive. The vanilla honey latte is amazing!
Celestia
I found the method used for ordering a little complicated. The food was pretty good but there aren't very many options, especially if you are picky. Overall my favorite thing was the freshly squeezed orange juice.
Dara Gruber
Chicken salad and turkey sandwich are both delicious. Great chill open seating coffee house vibe but with an extensive and posh food menu.
Matt Cohen
Great rotisserie meats and sides, fabulous desserts, great drink selection and friendly staff. Note that often the pastries are not out for a half hour or more after opening.
Arasu S
Nice place. Big. Small menu. Big prices. Friendly service.
Aurora Hiraeth
The is place looks the part. Nice and shiny on the outside. I’ve had a few visits and fail to satisfied with the food, coffee and service. Not all visits were bad but not the best cafe in the cities by any means.
Phyllis Roden
Love Lynhall. Gorgeous space and exquisite food. You order at the counter. They bring food to table. It's a favorite breakfast place. Try the shakshouka. Sublime!
Thomas Vescio
Laurel B was a gem! Best service yet and the food was awesome
Michelle Mausi Cohen
Always welcoming, always something delicious to try! I love their cocktails, they're bread plate and their warm, cheerful fireplace!
Shivani Desai Smulski
Fantastic dining option. Great atmosphere and open layout. Fresh food, very well done. Strong bar also.
Melissa Prostrollo
Beautiful atmosphere with even more beautiful food (and really delicious). Check out the bakery case before you order - and maybe again before you head home.
Jeffrey Wright
Great space, great food, great staff, very well run. A unique space that always delivers - lunch, dunner, brunch, coffee. Highly recommended.
Faith Frederickson
I like Lynhall. It's a expansive coffee shop and gathering place. The grub and drink is great; on par with any other hipster joint in Minneapolis.
I don't understand their Wi-Fi, however. They are using an unsecured network and a questionable provider. Furthermore, US Internet gigabit is available on their street, which would offer better service at potentially lower long-term cost. It seems pretty naive. Make sure you use a VPN if you use their Wi-Fi.
Ben Hancock
Fabulous French countryside decor aesthetic, mouth watering desserts, wonderful wine list, and fantastic service. Always a great place to visit on special celebratory events.
Louise Halverson
Noisy for the few people that were there mid-morning. Excellent raspberry cream cheese pastry. Chai latte a little spicier than I like.
William Neve
Great atmosphere and the food was good. Only downside was the typical Minneapolis parking (AKA very little). I'll definitely be making a trip back though!
Tanner Stevens
Nice space, unique menu with a cool atmosphere. Pretty busy for Sunday brunch, and they were out of my preferred dish this time.
Jay Sivasailam
Just opened and the trend is positive. Small, deli style sandwiches in a cozy environment. Just watch out for the patio table up front which are on a slope.
Jessica Swartout
I have become quite attached to their oat milk chai latte, it’s incredible! The cozy/clean atmosphere makes this one of my favorite spots to take out of town visitors.
Jon Mitchell
Delicious food and great atmosphere but COLD eggs Benedict. Asked to reheat. Still cold egg just warm toast.
Rachel Graff
This place is cozy, yet spacious. It's the perfect spot to meet with a friend or small groups. Fantastic desserts and drinks!
Brent Timm
One of the best dessert Selections in the Twin Cities, also offering a wide menu of healthy options. The interior aesthetic is incredibly I pleasing.
Matthew Erickson
Beautiful space with a great rotating stable of chefs bringing their own spin on food. We'll be back for sure. Word to the wise, get the crispy red potatoes, they'll change your life.

The ambiance of this place is crazy. Each room seemed like a new restaurant. Was cozy and inviting. I’d recommend not sitting in the main room since it gets cold in the winter.
Mitch Nesset
Great brunch food, service, pricing and atmosphere. It's a fast casual place -order at the counter and they bring the food to you.
Brenna Proczko
Somehow like a French farmhouse and a cozy den, the baked goods are amazing and the coffee quite nice. Looking forward to attending one of the cool events here!
Isabella Wallace
yummy tofu scramble, good service too
Caitlin
This place is like a perfectly curated Instagram picture that looks flawless and breezy but was actually super intentional. It's a little gross and uncomfortable in that sense but...their desserts are off the chain. 🤷🏼♀️ …
cindy c
Cute place, lots of seating, good for a foodie. Food was decent, but blander than I expected. The vibe is men in flannel shirts, tight pants with beards.
Cindy Andress
The food and service was great. The time to connect in the setting was outstanding!
danielle hance
Gorgeous space with amazing attention to detail! The food was delicious! My 6 year old said "the steak sandwich is life changing!"
Kfluff Cooks
Their chocolate croissant is to die for!!! And I fell in love with their English Potatoe Skillet. Great food and friendly staff😊😊😊 …
Denny Stallman
Excellent fresh food
Very friendly and pleasant staff
Amazing coffee
Kate Giguere
The bartender named Jack makes a killer hot coco. Seriously out of this world. The lynhall would be a great place for coffee, or a beer, or both. Plus they have impossible burgers!
Sam Hasler
Too big. Lots going on. Concept indecision masked as variety. Good food-- small menu but the offerings all impressed. Stars subject to change depending on future visits, if future visits occur.
Sam Palliser
Best brunch we've had in the USA hands down. Beautiful environment, food and service. Highly recommend.
Maxim C
Great cozy place on a great Minneapolis street not far from the Greenway
Ray DeLaCruz
Packed, people seem to think they're upscale, seat yourself (French I guess), no parking (must be a French thing too) but the only good thing I could say is food was super good.
m vh
Cozy hipster ambiance, but with reasonably priced and honestly incredibly delicious and creative menu items suitable for anyone's taste. My new favorite place ☺
Laura B
Great place to grab a bite to eat and get some work done by yourself or with a group. Good prices. Lots of choices for seating inside.
Matthew Carper
Good crowds and bright sunshine for brunch on a weekend, upscale feel. Would pass on house beet juice bloody mary but great food.
Tom Peets
They carry Lavender Uprising from Broken Clock Brewing
Rich Marshall
New favorite place! My one ask: non-nitro cold press coffee. Nitro is a a fun trend and all but I’m a fan of the regular stuff. That said, expect me there at least once a week :)
Derek Rahm
Service was great, food was delicious, out door seating was accommodating during pandemic. Would definitely recommend.
Arman Oskooi
The Lynhall has a great atmosphere mixture of cafe, bar, and restaurant vibe. The food was good, but a little pricey for the quantity.
Juhyun Kwon
Love their brunch. It was so busy so we had to wait a while. A little more pricey than i would have thought though

Kaleb Rumicho
Love this place - especially its unique interior design. Whether you’re looking for food, pastries, coffee, or adult beverages, you’ll find it all here.
mickey garza
Very friendly staffers, unique and delicious entrees, specialty cocktails and a deli/dessert case for easy morning/lunchtime gourmet food and pastries, quickly.
Isaac White
A little highfalutin for my tastes, but a good place to brunch at the end of a get together with friends or just pop in for a quick meal and do some on the go business
myra wang
Food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely would recommend and will be going back.
Lisa Gallagher
Honestly, this place is amazing. The brunch bundle is one of my favorite menu items OF ALL TIME.
Laura McSherry
Tasty lattes and breakfast sandwiches! The prices were a bit high. Neat decorations and not too crowded.
Ty Wilson
Beautiful place! The ambience is amazing, the place is beautiful, it's a fun, cozy, yet busy place to escape to. Food is good, but portions are small.
cassondra henning
Food was fantastic! Atmosphere is pretty sterile which can feel a little uncomfortable, but I suppose its geared towards a slightly different clientele.
Rachel Chiang
two words: the bakery 😍😍😍 this cafe is so nicely decorated and has a very helpful staff. definitely recommend. …
Julie Teran

Margaret Rosenberg
We loved it. The pasteries were awesome as was the coffee. A very enjoyable experience
Danny Horan
Beautiful space, coffee drinks are great but the breakfast food is just so so - especially with so many great options nearby.
Sherzad Kordian
Nice place and good food. But if your coming from out of town or are not from the area be ready to get that "look" by the hipster community.
Kaleb Smith
Fantastic spot for a coffee or light snack. Very tasty food but small portions.
Kay Clement
The atmosphere was very nice. Most meat products were pork. But the food was good
Lynn Chen
We love the food and the decor but the Americano was so sour taste.
Kayla Gearin-Foxcurran
This place has fallen flat for me both times I've gone. the portion were small and it's tasty but not quite the quality for the price.

Christina Lira
Loved the family style seating and comfortable home vibe. Food was great, but a little over priced.

Good food and ambience on restaurant row. Food is pricey for not having table service. You order at counter. Restrooms are unique.

I live a block away and by far best breakfast option within 5 blocks. I love their fried red potatoes
Martin Ostrem
I loved this place, great food & atmosphere. Though, this isn't a quiet place so don't go there if you need to be on a call!
Greg Meyer
Very nice and the pork ratatouille soup was amazing. But expensive and felt a bit elite for this city boy.

Great open seating concept. Sitting in line at register is laborious and may not be the most efficient way to serve customers
