Super busy on a Saturday night, drink prices weren't terrible. Place was packed wall to wall with college kids and super loud music, everyone had a good time. Solid security in place, all staff were very nice even while the place was slammed. Drinks took awhile to get but there was plenty of good music while we waited. If you show up after 10pm expect to wait in line outside.

I ordered the chicken Tenders and small plate Mac& Cheese. I liked the garlic fries that came with tenders. The Korean BBQ sauce was okay. 3 stars because server never gave me utensils to eat my food with. Servers make sure utensils are on table before food arrives.

My friends and I have dined consistently recently for both brunch and lunch! The brunch is AWESOME! Prime rib, eggs to order, omelets, individual eggs benedict, Belgian waffles and al the other usual brunch items. All for ~$20! The food is consistently fantastic! The staff is both friendly and fun.

Ordered to go food for the first time from here. I got the quinoa/mushroom burger. What I look for and liked about this is that it feels like a veggie burger, it tastes like a veggie burger. The toppings are not the standard burger toppings, and I appreciate that.

One more coaster taken advantage of. We just lunched at The Loop in Minneapolis and I had one of the BEST apps I have ever tasted. A,n egg roll skin stuffed with chicken, herbs, and cream, cheese and lightly drizzled in Buffalo sauce. I could eat 50 of them dang things. The pizza, was also awesome with a very unique basil pesto sauce covering chicken, bacon, and a 3 cheese blend. Washer her down with some Loon Juice (made from honeycrisp apples) from Spring Valley Minnesota. Another win!

This bar was pretty decent for a Wednesday night. The crowd was just enough, and the service was speedy. Plenty of brand variety combined with knowledgeable bartenders left me confident that I would have a tasty drink. The only thing that was slightly lacking was the vibe. Low light and an updated playlist would call for a good time. Enjoy the chill vibes. 🥂

Great atmosphere, food and cocktails! We started with a few of the specialty cocktails and they were delicious! Then we had the sweet potatoe fries for an app- yum! For dinner we had a variety- the Mac n cheese pizza, tomatoes/pesto pizza, cherry salad and steak salad! The portions were big! We definitely could’ve gotten by with 1/2 that for four people! However it was great to try it all! The best part of the loop was the service - Isabella and Antonio were phenomenal! You can tell the restaurant is well run because Antonio takes care of the staff! He was very friendly and was helping bring the food out! Isabella was on top of things! We were never waiting for a drink. She was prompt and very friendly!!! Thank you for a great experience when high quality service is hard to come by!

Love coming here for the nightlife on the weekends. The music and drinks are always great and it's a fun place if you like to dance. Only con is that there's usually a very long line which you're probably going to wait anywhere from 30 minutes- an hour to get in. Also, the bar can get pretty crowded.

I’m usually at the Loop in SLP but met a client here for lunch. The Steak tacos were fire, fire fire. Came with a side of black beans and rice. The Loop in both locations has the healthiest and most delicious bar food you’ll ever eat. This was a gym day for me.

Came in during game day. I ordered apps and drinks, which both were good. But we had to wait a little to get service. I booked a reservation on Open Table and found out when we got there, it was open seating. Not a big deal, since we were able to find an open table. I plan on giving them another look. Again the food is good, Not sure if they should be set up on Open Table yet.

The food was good and our server was wonderful! The atmosphere and seating options were great! But, I dislike that they have so many televisions. In my opinion, it's a negative and out of place feature to an otherwise fully enjoyable atmosphere.

Best Hawkeye bar in town. Im impressed by how clean this place is! The speakers are pretty loud, at least during hawkeye games, so maybe don't bring a baby or have plan to have a conversation here

Great drinks and best burger in town. Prices rival that in California but are actually worth it. Ordered basic loop burger and Moscow mule with titos. Best cocktail I've had and greatest burger as well. Wait staff is happy to help and make your stop satisfying. Good atmosphere for young adults

I am not a review person but I have to say... The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great! However, Sara is a terrible server. I'm not gonna accuse her of being bias but she definitely didn't help us as much as the other tables. We finished our drinks and asked her politely for water. After 20 mins and her walking by us a million STILL NO WATER! We finished our food without drinks. Eventually got tired of waiting and ended up going somewhere else for drinks. I really wanted to cut her some slack but watching someone go to the table next to you and asking "How are you doing?" multiple times and never coming to you is kind of annoying. This is an awesome place, don't let bad servers like this bring you down!

The first time we came here for lunch we were super impressed, just had some dry rub wings and fries but very tasty. The second time we ate here, I ordered carry out and ordered the exact same thing but a double order of wings. On order of wings was just regular naked wings - not seasoned at all, the other order was fine but not as good as first time we had ordered them. Kind of disappointing when food isn't consistent.

Hi! I was at the loop tonight, and while a girl was grabbing her friends’ pile of jackets she also grabbed mine! I would really love to have mine back, as it was a gift. Mine is a black, very light “puffer” jacket filled with down. Probably a small or XS. If you’re looking for your jacket from that night, there was a peacoat style jacket left in the booth where my jacket should have been, and I left that one with employees at the loop. I wish that I could give more than 5 stars! We brought a very large group on a very busy evening, and we got nothing but top notch service. Food was great, and the manager checked in multiple times to make sure that everything was going well.....EVEN though the entire bar was so busy! Thank you for making our outing such a big success. Really like this place. The atmosphere is nice with plenty of TVs and perfect balance of formal and casual. The best part about this place is the diversity of food. You can get anything from healthier salads to rice bowls to pizza. This restaurant is a people - pleaser. It makes people happy regardless of their food preferences.

2021 only 5 people total. Awkward time. 3pm. Please support this wonderful restuarant! Nashville Chicken was Amazing. Loved the chicken wild rice soup also. So much flavor, so many veggies! Green beans, potatoes spinach corn, bacon, & a lemon cream sauce; who knew it went well with spicy crispy chicken & PICKLES?!?! Damn no bread meal but still pleasantly stuffed. So happy!

Tried to go to another restaurant down the block for brunch with a group of 12, was going to be an hour wait. They had open spots, seated us in a party room, and got to us quickly. Brunch was delicious for everyone, and they even baked cookies fresh to celebrate my wife's birthday. An awesome turn of events for skipping out on the wait for our first choice. Would return

This is a pretty good bar. I've only been there on weekend nights, so when it's pretty packed, loud, and busy. Naturally, it might take a while to get a drink but they have everything you might want. The men's bathroom has only one stall and one urinal, so a long line always forms which can be a little frustrating. The music can include too much pop for me (I'm more of an R&B/rap guy), but there's always the Basement Bar across the street if you want better music. Overall a fun place to go and dance.

This place is alright. Drinks are expensive but the pours are pretty strong. It gets unbelievably packed here and isn’t conducive to moving around and dancing. However this is a happening bar so if that’s your thing go for it. Line is quite long so be prepared to wait

Met relatives for breakfast here and it wasn't packed and the music playing wasn't overwhelming. Great variety of choices (I've had lunch here too and great choices for that meal). Service was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The North Loop restaurants in Minneapolis are mostly geared to folks in their 20s and 30s, so can get noisy if full. Parking can be difficult to find, as well. Like the decor in this restaurant!

My rating is split, because I have dined here during the lunch hour and the food was great and I had no complaints. The second part of my review is based on their late night bar/party scene. The DJ was great and the drinks were great. The crowd was young professionals (think late 20s early 30s) and clean. It was a perfect balance of sophistication and laid back. My only complaint is the layout is just horrible. They have a 360 bar so it's very congested and it's a long "shotgun" style layout. There is really no designated dance floor either. The DJ is right by the entrance up against a glass window and therefore the entrance essentially becomes the dance floor (or just a crowded mess of people). We would not return for the late night scene unfortuantly because of this. Too bad cause the music and everything else was great. Just that massive 360 bar right down the middle is a huge disadvantage.

This was a great stop before going to Acme. Park once and walk between the two! Food was better than expected. I order the blue cheese burger. My sweet potato fries were perfect, but the bun was overly sweet and the blue cheese was a flavored mayo rather than actual blue cheese crumbles. Otherwise we had an excellent meal!

We came here before going to the Acme Comedy Club and it was amazing! First of all, the place is beautiful. Our drinks were incredible. I ordered two Summer Vacations but they were a little different each time and delicious. My fiancee got two burbons and the second one had a piece of bacon in it. How fun is that?! 😀 Id love to go back again. The guy next to us at the bar ordered something with meat and noodles that looked so yummy i almost asked him for a bite. Lol!

Good music after 10:30 on the weekends. Was approached really rudely to be carded after some friends bought drinks-I did not have one but the bartender sought me out of the crowd (I'm 25) to ask for my ID, but didn't ask any of my friends who actually had drinks for theirs. Big dance floor, interesting mix of people. Giving it 3 stars instead of 4 because of the odd interaction with the bartender.

20 oz beer special is a 16 oz cup... ETA owner responded to this review saying they reduced price by $1 from advert, which didn't happen on my bill (and FYI should be $1.20 anyway, bc math). I get there are price hikes and supply issues with COVID, but just change the advert or verbally notify the customer! Nobody cares about the $1.20, but people do care about honesty.

This restaurant and bar is frequented by locals. On Friday and Saturday nights, the dining tables are removed and a DJ turns the place into a dance club that caters to young professionals. The food menu is upscale bar food that is of decent quality and flavor. Cocktails seem to be very inconsistent quality and wait service can be slow and forgetful.

The food here is awesome! The pulled pork quesadilla is absolutely fantastic. The pizza is very good when fresh. It does not reheat well in the microwave. The one knock against this place is that when slow they do shutdown early, which is understandable, but makes late night planning require a backup plan.

best burgers i've ever had! there are a lot of tv's in there, so good for game day but i found them easy to ignore too. service is good and the food is delicious, with pretty big servings so you won't leave hungry. haven't tried the drinks but I will for sure be back!

The loop offered a variety of good dinner options. The food was delicious. The chicken sandwich was bursting with flavor. However, the loop appeared to be short staffed and our table was forgotten for most of the meal. The atmosphere can be a bit noisy at times too. But the food would make me come back.

It's a fun place to go if you are in the North loop area and want to dance. We were there earlier in the evening and enjoyed sitting at the bar with a wonderful drink (bartender had more time) and visiting with our group. Later in the evening, it gets very crowded with a younger crowd and the dance floor opens up.

This place isn't really in my preferences for a place to stop, but the experience has never been bad. The food has been tasty when I was there. The staff has always been friendly when I was here. I haven't been on a Saturday night, so I can't say anything about the weekend crowd. If you are in the area it's not a bad choice, but I wouldn't go you far out of my way to pay a visit.

So much to say about this place. I'll start with the food, it's good, I'm inlove with their steak salad but it is a bit pricey however I think it is worth it. Their drinks are good. It's a fun place at night it turns into a dancing club. I once organized a surprise birthday party of around 15-20 people and it was a success! But the real reason I'm reviewing is because back in October/November 2016 this happened: One night I was having dinner with friends, then I moved my purse behind me and raised it on top of the booth where I was sitting. It got crowded infront of us because people were dancing. Then I moved my phone behind my purse.... AND that's when I realized it disappeared into the black hole. It went down 7 feet. There was no way I could get it back, the booth was attached to the floor and the wall. I went back in there the next morning and then again 3 more times with other coworkers and more equipment trying to get it out. We lost hope. We couldn't even see it at that point. So I gave up. It was a brand new Google Nexus 6P, worth $500. The Loop said there's nothing they can do because the booths are attached. So they offered $200 so that I can buy a new phone. That was nice that they did that, although I was very disappointed. Later on I knew other people have dropped things in there. So I talked to one of the managers and I requested that they cover that tiny hole. He said it would be unattractive?!!!! I was like what?! R U SERIOUS! No one can see it and that would avoid all the problems. Anwyays... FAST FORWARD the story to July 2017. They are getting renovated now!! And I contacted them, and they said they found my phone. I went over and they had it, it had no scratch on the screen thank God... a bit too late to get it back but better late then never. So Thank you for not throwing it away, or selling it and giving it back. Excited to see the renovation soon!!!

We had dinner with friends at 112 and had a very exceptional dinner with fantastic service. For appetizers we had the 112 Steak Tartare and Frog legs. Iowa Saturday at the Loop. I can't speak for the other days of the week, but if you want to be immersed in Black and Gold, the Loop is the place. Beyond football Saturday, the service is great, there are plenty of adult beverages, and the food portions are HUGE! Come early to get a seat. GO HAWKS!
