Such a fun and warm experience! ❤️ The food was great. My friend got the Taiwanese pot and it was my favorite! I would highly suggest getting rice over noodles due to the portion difference as shown in the photo. I took one star off because the dumplings in the soup tasted sour. Tasty pot is a hidden gem in the heart of U of M campus. So what do you get if you wanna try tasty pot for the first time and enjoy it, I’d say keep it simple and order the beef or the lamb pots. Those are always a home run safe choice. # 1 & #2. Don’t forget to get the iced tea!

I love the spicy Sichuan flavor hotpot. If you've read my review about another spot and their hotpot. This one beats it hands down. I wish I could give it more than 5 Stars. Service is fast. Food came out fast. Food came out hot and spicy. The taste is just so good. Authentic spices. I ate half way before I remeber to snap a photo 🤣. The amount of food was wow for 2 people. Definitely a must try if you like spicy food on a cold day. Yes it's still winter in MN on 5/20/2022 unfortunately.

This place is so delicious. First time having hot pot and was told this was the best place on campus. I also love how you can make the dishes spicy. Lots of Minnesota restaurants are basically lying when they say they will make it spicy.

They serve authentic Taiwanese stinky tofu pot. Other hot pots are great too if you’re afraid of the smell of stinky tofu. Definitely should try this one out when you’re in the twin cities.

Had the #9 Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Pot. This was honestly the best choice of my life, and super delicious! If you are a person who generally cannot take spice, I do not recommend this dish. But if you love mild to spicy then this is the perfect dish for you! It was my first time getting this and no regrets at all! One thing I do not recommend getting is the Miso hot pot. I did get this my first time ever visiting tasty pot and it really strayed me away for the longest time from eating here. Years and years later I decided to try eating here again the #9 is what's going to keep me coming back :)

Newbie here- first time ever having hot pot of any kind/style. Not sure why havent tried sooner. Love concept of eating foods while piping hot. Ordered Taiwanese Supreme Spicy with side of udon at flaming spicy level. Broth seemed pretty spicy first few sips but oddly mellowed out while eating. Big fan of thin beef slices and sour mustard/veggies, not so much of seafood cuts (disclaimer: will eat but not seafood fan). Hotpot portion enough for two people. Didnt finish it all and still left pretty full. Service was good but felt prices were slightly high. May not go out of my way but def dont mind returning if in area..

They had a lovely variety of ingredients in their hot pot. Keeping in mind that I am used to Chinese hot pot and this is Taiwanese hot pot, I found this a fun variation, especially the unique bowl stands it was served in.

Nestled in between shops in Dinkytown you'll find tasty pot, a Taiwanese hot pot chain specializing in boiling hot pot soups that warm the soul. With a dozen menu item hot pots, tasty pot doesn't disappoint. From a Tom Yum style hot pot to traditional Taiwanese Supreme Spicy, each one didn't fail to deliver. The ambiance inside was great, warm, and quiet. The pricing wasn't bad for what you got. And I definitely left feeling really full. You can pick each pot, customize the spicyness and add on extras if you want as well. If you need a nice warm up on a cold day or a new tasty dish to try, I highly recommend tasty pot

The soup base is fine. But the clams had a lot of sand in it, shrinp kinda soft, tofu tasted a little sour...overall is ok.

All the soups taste pretty similar. I would recommend you take the lobster tail out right away. I saved it for last and it was over cooked and rubbery. Portions are big, though you do get a lot of veggies. Parking is hard to find. Service was good though it wasn’t busy when we went.

First time at tasty pot and wasn’t disappointed at all. Nice and clean for the most part. Tried the Taiwanese hotpot and was pretty good. Got the lowest spice I could with it and was still pretty spicy. Got a few pieces of stuff that tasted odd to me in it but that’s just my tastebuds. Overall was a great choice especially with rice. This would definitely a great choice in the winter cold. They had a milk cheese hotpot that got me curious and probably would get next time.

Craving hot pot on a cold rainy night? This is the place! Their unique combination of different style hot pots are delicious and all are worth a try. I highly recommend coming here if you are not feeling like dipping your own ingredients in there. The staff was nice and helpful during COVID and everything was sanitary. Pictures listed from one to three: kimchi dumpling, miso japanese, seafood lobster.

I always get the #1 beef. The soup is really good. Three sauces to create your dipping. I like hot pot in general, but it’s different because it’s less spicy and you can drink the soup. Very comforting food. Service can be faster.

So tasty and so authentic! I had the Spicy Taiwanese hot pot, and it was very similar to food I had when I visited Taiwan. I was surprised that they had actual blood cake! It's clear that they do a good job of sourcing their ingredients. The dinners have a regular size and a large size, so be aware that one person probably can't eat a large by themselves - I recommend sharing. The bubble tea was tasty as well. I would've liked to have tried their macaroon ice cream, but I was too full. We had a great experience and we can't wait to go back!

We came here with 8 people for a going away party. They accommodated for us all, which was awesome! This hotpot place is more similar to Taiwanese hot pot where people have individual bowls. I ordered the veggie hotpot. It came with a vegan broth, and a bunch of tasty veggies. The side sauces included a garlic sauce, chili oil and something with sesame in it. Overall it was a very tasty casual dinner! The only reason I removed one star was because service was a bit slow. However, they got each of our orders right which can be hard with a big group. I would definitely visit again.

Got number 9# spicy,and very delicious. The cool thing is the plate is on top of a burner so the hotpot stays hot. Very big portions but I wish there were other sides besides rice or noodles.

I came in with my girl around closing like thirty minutes before and they were able to get us situated and seated real quick. Our server, Dan, was very kind and served us quick and efficiently and the food was amazing per usual. Definitely my favorite hot pot place downtown. Also, as I was putting my food in a to go container, Dan was very kind and helped me put it in the container. A gesture that I’ve never gotten anywhere else and I highly appreciated it, thank you for the amazing service!

This is excellent, healthy food. I had the Lamb hot pot, and it was delicious. The broth is first rate, and there is a nice mix of vegetables, mussels, bok Choi, and tofu (i don't even like tofu, but this tofu was delicious). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the food is pricey...17-20 USD for the hot pot. But you get what you post for, i guess.

Wonderful experience and food! I had the Kimchi Dumpling Hot Soup (medium). My friend had the seafood hot soup, also medium. It comes with all the food already in the pot, steaming hot, with choice of rice or vermicelli. We both had rice. Delicious. Occasionally I had a bite that was really hot (spicy), but overall, I thought it was great! I like a little spicy, but medium was pretty spicy for me. It was a large serving. One pot is intended for one person. I was able to use the chopsticks, but they gave us forks on request, too, (as my friend cannot use chopsticks) along with big spoons, for ladling the soup, but it was too spicy for me to want to do that. The restaurant is in Dinkytown and a short walk from the parking ramp. I would go again, but maybe get mild next time:)

Food was pretty good...I ended up very full I feel like I could have shared what I got with someone else. Matter of fact we almost all agreed that we ordered more then we could finish, so I would definitely recommend sharing unless you have a huge appetite! Staff and fee of the place was okay nothing special and you definitely will need to pay for parking so keep that in mind!

My to go place! The place is so chic and modern. The Staff are super helpful and the experience is overall delightful. As a huge foodie, I highly recommend trying this place out. I got the Spicy Beef soup #1, black tea and passion fruit tea with pearls and matcha macaroons ice cream and it is too die for!

Delicious hot pot! It will fill you up. Just remember to check to see if you got the big single hot pot or not, it says it right next to its name. The addition of items are on the back of the menu, iys a great selection. Highly recommended the fish balls to add in if you want more or if yours doesn't have any. Their green tea is also very delicious! And they do use reusable cups for their Boba tea

One of the few places in Minneapolis where you can get authentic milk tea and boba. This place is a Taiwanese style personal hotpot restaurant and J strongly recommend you come here if you're interested in amazing broth and a great selection of food. Their selection of dipping sauces is a little limited, but still very tasty.

Perfect for snowy days!!!! It's one of my go-to hot pot restaurants near UMN campus. It's not like Chinese hot pots, which was surprising at first. Everything comes into the pot and cooked! There is also a small candle at the bottom of the pot so that you can enjoy your food warm entire time! I've been their customer for 4 years and will continue going there.

The broth was flavorful. Each is served in an individual pot: some flavors are Taiwanese spicy, Japanese miso, seafood, vegetarian, ... to one that even features cheese! Each comes with an assortment of meat and veggies, different things depends on the soup base you choose. Out of the 12 soup bases to choose from, I had the authentic Taiwanese spicy one with intestine and blood cakes 😝. Spicy level is on a hot side so medium is hot for many, just be aware of that.

Wanted to try what was said to be one of the best Taiwanese food in town. Never had Taiwanese. It was weird, but, flavorful - interesting. The staff was awesome. Our waiter took time to explain what we were eating every time we called him to the table, ever so nicely. ❤️

It a hit or miss depends on the time to be honest. Many of my friends try the place out but the opinions somewhat balance out in the middle. Sometimes it is extremely crowded. Sometimes it is dead. To me, I am not much of a fan of the restaurant. Neither the food nor the service impress me as a restaurant goer. My wife loves the restaurant so I usually just tag along. It has generous portion for the price. I would say if you really like it, the restaurant would be a great place to go to, easily filling out your empty stomach with generous price. The quality of service, once again, is a hit or miss. It is understandable when the restaurant is full and server doesn't have enough time to fulfill your need, then you are out of luck. Overall, I neither like it nor despise it. It just the middle ground that I find comfortably placed my opinion on. 3 stars. Perhaps it is the food? Idk. The kungfu pot right next by is even more horrible but there is something about this place that I can't simply explain what my disappointment about. I often find myself disappointed after the meal. Servers not responding well? Food Quality was hit-or-miss? Not sure

Was visiting Minneapolis and came to eat here. Not bad but not great. The price was high. I’m from Orlando and there’s tons of hot pot places here where it’s all you can eat for $19.99. NOT here, all the stuff found here came at a set price which before I was even full came up to over $40 already. SMH

The first time, i went to eat here. Their meat portion was alot. The dishes came out exactly as pictured. But later on when i went again and again, their meat portion wasn't aa much as it was before anymore. Also, the dish came out looking different from the pictures. Not sure if there's a new chef or what. But overall, it's delicious! My favorite place to go whenever I'm in town!

Authentic good tasting hot pot. Service is super quick, even when busy which is not too common in Dinkeytown. People here are super nice too. The spice they use is different from what most people are used to so even the lowest level can feel very spicy. Their sauces at the table are great too.

This is a great place to get hot pot style food. They have a lot of good options, and there has yet to be any long wait for service. The extras they give you are pretty generous. I have yet to have something there that I always have to get, so I dont think this place is quite a 5 to me yet. That said, if you like hot pot, you will not be disappointed. They also have pretty good milk teas. They even let you keep the cup.

Although Tasty Pot is not like a regular hotpot where you can cook the food yourself, it still can satisfy your hot-pot crave. The food will be cooked before it's served and the food & soup taste amazing! The price for one item may be expensive but you can share it with friends if you order a larger size which makes the price cheaper. I personally love the Taiwanese Hot Pot and Tom Yum Hot Pot. There are varieties of ingredients in the pot and they are not stingy about it! The environment can be noisy and packed during dinner time to avoid it.

A very nice place with a different way of doing Hot Pot. This establishment has you choose from a select arrangement of pot items. There are selections already made and the customer should choose a selection that best fit their taste. The prices are a little bit higher, and the food comes to you already in the pot cooking. This may be a fun change for those who are used to cooking their own food at Hot Pot! Worth a try to see if you like Taiwanese Hot Pot. 8/10.

Delicious hot pot option in the Twin Cities. The bowls are pre-made with certain styles as seen in the pictures of the menu. The bowls stay hot with a flammable gel underneath. All of the choices taste great!

Great food, but I feel like the price is not worth that $15+ due to the fact that my dish was mainly just vegetables and barely any meat. Pretty small portion, but $12 to $15 would be more fit for the price. The picture really threw me off guard because I expected more from the photo showing me the amount. Yes definitely!! Parking isn’t free so make sure you have extra money unless it’s Sunday 🤗

I have tried their stinky tofu pot and the Thai pot I believe. Both of them tasted as the good as the restaurant name acclaimed. Can be Savory, can be light, depends on which pot you ordered. Wish they could have more veggies in the pot.

I have been to Tasty pot so many times. The foods are good. Waiter and waitress are so nice!!! Them won't come over and ask you how the things going every 5 mins, which is great! I don't like people interrupt me when I have food in my mouth; but they really pay attention to customers. They will give whatever you need when you need help. I am not a general tipper. I tipped them 20% every time.

I enjoyed the chili hot pot. The amount was enough for me to share with a friend, so the price was reasonable for me. It would be better if they have the special sauce(soy+oil+vinegar and garlic) that can go with hot pot.

Cute place! Came here for bubble tea and it was good, lots of people were eating hotbpot and there was a lot of variety of hot pot. They're very nice with the bubble tea, we asked for tons of customizations. Staff was sweet and accommodating. Location is in a cute student neighborhood

Third time back to Tasty Pot since they opened. Food and service all three times have been great! All food is very fresh. View their website to get a good idea of what to expect but you won't be disappointed. Tables fill up rapidly so get their early (before 6 pm) or be prepared for a small wait. And prices very reasonable.

One of my most favorite hot spot places in Minneapolis. They have a great amount of variety, fair prices, and service and wait staff are always quick and friendly. Parking has also never really been a problem (street) except during events, which is reasonable. I like the sauces and teas they offer as well.

It was good and an interesting concept. You can order for large groups or individually. Bowl comes on a stand with a little warmer under it to keep food hot. Menu seemed a little disorienting for a first time visitor.

Tasty Taiwan style hotpot! (But the bubble tea was not good). You need to wait until all parties come to be seated. Try hotpot and go to Kungfu tea (in 2 minute distance walk) for Taro milk tea. :)
