First time back in 8 years... sausage pepperoni pizza was superb with great ingredients, cut extremely inconsistently giving off great character and of course Tasty! The hellfire burger was not bad by anymeans it was smothered in jalapeños and bbq sauce on top of an extremely unseasoned plain jane burger patty. My wife of course had the chicken tendys ... there's no chance anyone can screw that up. Cute honky-tonk for the boomers.

"WINNER IS TASTY PIZZA." Born and raised here and several people have recommended Tasty over the years as the best pizza, to me. Transferring soon out of state, So I tried it on Sunday, YES, in my opinion it is the Best. From the start of calling to place the order, and getting a live person right away.😳 Picking it up and the person that rang me up Thanked me for coming in. Then the pizza, sauce was delicious, "Tasty Variety" and a "Brushetta" pizza. Both popping with flavors and light, not heavy like you would think it might be with all these ingredients. Just an awesome job guys. TASTY PIZZA, it is for sure the BEST, it is a must if you haven't.

We ordered pizza here for dinner the other night after the name caught my eye on Google Maps. We did not have any preconceived notions of the quality of the pizza, but got a good feeling about the place, not only in the photos and reviews, but in the polite nature of the person who took my order. We were delighted with the staff who we spoke with all throughout the experience, who were consistently polite and helpful. The food was delicious as well; we had a cheese and a bruschetta pizza, as well as the house salad, and were happy with all of them. We will be ordering from Tasty Pizza again soon. Thank you to the staff who made the experience awesome! 💙

Family and I have been going here for many years, basically since my dad(greg) used to work here. We always love our food,pizza and chicken wings! They're best in Minnesota! No joke. I always get my hamburger pizza with extra thin crust. Best hamburger pizza you will ever find, has the beautiful crumbled hamburger marked with there amazing sauce and cheese! There is no better thin crust pizza in Minnesota, I'd take this pizza around the world if I could just to let America know what great thin crust pizza is! I can't express how much I love this place because of there amazing wings and pizza. I've been dining here for decades. The sausage pizza is a favorite, but really everything on the menu is delicious too. It's a great destination for watching the game too. Food is delicious and prices are reasonable.

Very much your typical American bar food in a blue collar American bar. The dining room is themed with an aviation flare. If you stop in, I'd suggest trying the pizza and having the giant wings. I found the drink prices pretty reasonable too.

I live in Dallas and EVERY time I make it to Minneapolis... Tasty Pizza is one of the first places I go to. No other pizza compares. I moved out of MN over 25 years ago and it is still as good as it was back then.

This is a terrific establishment. The pull tab person was extremely nice and awesome. They do have a salad bar which is refreshing, they offer a huge selection of beer, and a very huge variety of different pizza! The other menu items are also great and at an affordable price none the less. The bathrooms and tables were clean as well. I definitely recommend this location for a quick bite, or meeting up with friends for some fun and entertainment.

These guys/gals are great! I was stuck overnight in my truck waiting to unload. I called and ordered a pepperoni pizza & cheese curds. They were friendly, completely ok delivering to me in the truck. The food was delicious and served hot. Cheese curds are amazing and they have 1919 root beer! A++++

When I first moved to Columbia heights 5 years ago, we got a coupon in the mail for a free large pizza and a “welcome to the neighborhood”. My husband and I ate a whole large to ourselves that night (!!) and have been coming back ever since. I love going there for pizza and their garlic cheese bread. It’s amazing! They have some of the best wait staff, too.

Always a great time coming in here. The service is great. We usually get the veggie pizza and a side of cheese bread. Either way, can’t go wrong with anything you order. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Ordered 3 made rite sandwiches last Saturday. Only ended up with 2 in my to-go pickup order. Disappointing but when I called the person I spoke with said they would add the cost of the sandwich that I paid for but didn't get as a credit the next time I order which was tonight. It was not automatically credited to my order like I was told would happen. I had to call to ensure they credited it. The guy who was in charge said he would credit it on my pizza order for tonight. I just looked at the amount that was charged to my card and there was no credit for the previous order. It was the full amount. Although their pizza is good I'm just not feeling like this is the kind of service and business I want to keep patronizing. Being so close, offering delivery and good tasting food makes it appealing but getting it wrong twice in a row is giving me reasons to think twice before I order here again unfortunately. I don't feel like I'm being unreasonable. It's just that the trust is gone.

Great thin crust pizza with lots of cheese. Ribs and pasta with choice of noodles and sauce. Restaurant side closed but bar side with large screen tvs and simple seating is open with flexibility to seat larger groups by moving tables. Smokers go right outside door giving strong smell in restaurant when in use. Our family place since 1980s when 25 cents paid for 15 minutes in black and white tv in table.

This review is a bit overdue, but our group of seven ordered cheese curds, wings, Nordeaster, ground beef, Bacon Cheeseburger, and Sassy D pizzas along with adult beverages. We had a lot of leftovers, but enjoyed sharing our choices with our group. Medina (sp?) was our server and she was fabulous! She kept on top of everything and also was kind enough to take several group pictures. I lived 2 blocks away in the early 60's and a visit to Tasty Pizza is something I look forward to every time I come back home to visit.

Excellent pizza! They still cut it in the bite sized squares like the good old days!! We don't live very close anymore but still order for pickup all the time on pizza night so we tracked down a genuine hot thermal pizza delivery bag that I keep right in the trunk!! That's how much we love this pizza! Very TASTY Pizza nothing near by compares to or even comes close!!

We were in the other day for the first time and we had an amazing experience! Our server Edina (I believe that's the correct spelling) was phenomenal and went above and beyond. Very funny and great sense of humor - she was also on top of everything. Great first time experience here! We will be back.

We’re new to the area and love this pizza. We’ve ordered a few times already and have lived here a month. The flavor and style reminds me of the pizza place in my small rural hometown. The atmosphere was dark, divey. Small patio out front. Took a while to place order as they only had 1 waitress for maybe 4 tables. She was nice and did her best with the current events. We got pizza and wings. The chicken wings tasted old, as though the grease needed to be replaced and it was very bland. Large in size. The pizza was really really good. The cheese was really good, the best part of the pizza. I'd go back just for that.

Ate my first pizza today, but certainly not my last. Had the Sassy - looking forward to the Polish. Amazing taste, nice crisp, loaded with ingredients, no cutting corners here! (That's a pun on circles.) Definitely recommend!

Ordered 3 pizzas. Showed up an hour and 20 minutes later. I can be understanding if it's busy. All the pizza crusts were soggy, and I ended up feeling sick from one of the pizzas. We've had quite a bit of pizza from this location and its always been pretty good. Might be a while before we try it again.

Liked the thin crust pizza but the service was erratic (one really good server and one 'helper' who seemed inconvenienced that we asked her to order drinks). Very large full chicken wings that were good and came with your choice of two dipping sauces. This place is iconic - my parent's high school date night was here at Tasty...in the 60's. I've been going all my life, and now that I live out of state, every visit home requires a night at Tasty. This pizza is singular and compares to no other thin crust pizza I've had anywhere. Sauce isn't too sweet but just right; crust has just the perfect amount of char; cheese blend is perfect; sausage is scrumptious. All in all, once you have Tasty pizza once, all other thin crust pizza will now get compared to Tasty...and Tasty inevitably wins every time. And now I want more Tasty pizza...

Ordered for delivery, not knowing it was about 35 minutes to close. Go to submit my order and it says the store is closed, for pickup or delivery. Call in and the manager says they can't do anything about online. So I can't use my rewards AND lose points because the company stops online ordering 30 minutes before close??? You're open until you're closed, you take orders until you're closed, that's how it works. You guys are already removing items from your menu that people order, now this but you keep the bar side running 100% during Covid. Makes sense. The food is generally good, no real issue there. Just issues with customer service, even on dine in sometimes.

The best pizza I ever tasted. Not only that but there menu is full of delicious choices. When I don't get pizza I order the six piece chicken meal. Those are also the best wings I have ever tasted. They are super big, which is nice because you have some leftovers to take home. My step dad said the fish and chips we're pretty darn good. One last thing there big daddy sauce it so good.

I've only eaten in the restaurant once and the service and food were great. I order delivery from them often and it's always fast and hot. I really love the veggie pizza, but the white out is my absolute favorite! When I'm not in the mood for pizza, I get a Maid-Rite. Tastes just like the original. The chicken wings, cheese curds, and onion rings are my favorite sides.

We just tried this place yesterday, right up the road from our house. I normally dont write reviews but this place deserves one. We ordered delivery, large pizza, 6piece wings, cheese bread. The delivery time was within 20-30 minutes. Pizza was AMAZING! Best thin crust I've had in a while. The chicken wings are HUGE and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be ordering again, and cannot wait to check it out once COVID is passed.

If you've never been to Tasty Pizza, or simply Taystees for those who have been there. You should try it at least once this place is legendary! The pizza is one of a kind. Thin crust with your typical toppings. The crust is crispy but the pizza still has great texture. NOW for the big secret. People go to taystees for a lot of different reasons but the chicken on the appetizers is where it's at! They're the whole wings with a coating of delicious seasoned batter, not salty, and fried to perfection. Disclaimer: I've been going to Taystees for my entire life as my mother is from Heights. It's good stuff. If you're ever feeling adventurous and want to try a genuinely good pizza place. Go to Tasty Pizza.

You can never judge a book by its cover. You may see a smaller pizza place in a strip mall but don't be fooled they have amazing pizza. I went there before the whole covid-19 experience stopped many from dinning in. When I went last my family and I ate in. Customer service 5 out of 5, pizza 5 out of 5, beer 5 out of 5 lol. Highly recommend these guys. No offense reminds me of a Broadway pizza in a way. But more unique flavors and options. (You guys are better then Broadway just so your aware). Thanks for the experience. If you guys have dinning open I'll be there. It may be open already just haven't check recently. But definitely buy pizza through you guys again.

We were in tonight for a birthday celebration. Called ahead and said we had 20-25 people coming and they said they would do what they could to be ready. And they did! They were prepped for our large group with a great waitress who managed all of our tabs. The pizza was fantastic (of course), but the service really did stand out. I picked up a medium Tasty ? Variety? I honestly can't be sure if that is what it was called as just my name was on the outside of the box. It was a specialty pizza. I only added extra sauce. I needed them to put off starting it as I was quite a ways away. They were happy to do that. When I got there to pick it up, I paid for it and they kept it in the warmer for me so I could go have a beer at Hanger 45. We won't talk about the money lost on pull-tabs. But HEY PIZZA WAS FABULOUS!!!

Tasty Pizza has been a staple in this old NE MPLS neighborhood for over 50 years. The pizza is awesome as always. My go-to is the Tasty Hi-5... ALL MEAT pizza. Appetizers are wonderful and reasonably priced too. They have a full bar and salad bar if you choose. They have a variety of burgers and sandwiches as well as other traditional Italian cuisine. This place is a hidden treasure that has great food at a reasonable price. If I could give them more than 5 Stars I would in a nanosecond, however all your allowed to give is 5 Stars so that's what they get.

So I grew up in the area. We used to get Tasty Pizza as a special treat when I was a kid. I have since moved across town as an adult and have been telling my husband about the greatness of Tasty for a while. We were celebrating last week and we decided Tasty Pizza would be a good way to celebrate. I ordered online and then I drove across town in rush hour and got stuck behind a Northeast train for 30 minutes (it was seriously the full northeast experience, oh the memories). Finally, I got to my pizza. They checked my pizza when I got there and noticed that one of the toppings was forgotten. The very sweet girl moved into action trying to make it right. She grabbed a coworker to help figure out what to do, and they offered to remake it. I've worked in restaurants most of my life it was seriously fine, stuff happens. I was fine taking it as it was and I did. They offered to refund the topping price; but I noticed they actually ended up giving me a little bit of a discount instead, which was unnecessary but very nice. It is a little more on the spendy side, but it's also a really hefty pizza. First time trying the regular crust, and I think I like the thin crust a little better. The pizza is still as great as I remember (actually a little better), customer service is obviously great, and I will be back.

Was in at the same time as a large group (class reunion) but the server was MORE than accommodating to us despite being monopolized elsewhere. Salad bar is okay if you need to eat asap but not very extensive. Pissa was great, crust was thin and crispy which are both great in my book. Plus to having the salad bar was all the ranch I needed for my pizza! First time there and I will be back for sure.

Got served our meal at different times. 1 person got their food and took over 5 minutes for the rest of the order and some was cold. Tried to get our servers attention her name was Natalie. It was like she was ignoring me and then my wife finally went to let her know when she was just standing doing nothing and she came back with an attitude. I had a great response from my review and was treated very well by the manager on duty when I went in again. I have been going in since they opened and have always been treated well when I've had an issue. This was my worst experience there but would not quit going as I love all the food on the menu and normally have great and friendly service. Once in awhile you can have an issue somewhere but Todd and his managers always make things right. Most places won't be like that and it's only 1 of many reasons I keep going back

Its a legend, The Hangar. The food is above average for a pizza joint. You wont be disappointed in the selection and quality. They have a good selection of craft and domestic beers. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Try the meat sauce with the cheese bread, yummy.

I was a first timer to this locally infamous bar/restaurant and was not disappointed. If you like thin crust pizza in a classic divey kind of setting, then you will love this place. We also tried their thick crust pizza and it was very good, as well. We will go back.

Having grown up in the neighborhood, Tasty Pizza has always been my “go to” place for thin crust pizza. Now that I live in Elk River, I occasionally need to satisfy the craving for a Tasty pie. About 6 months ago I visited and noted that the place even after remodeling, seemed run down. The worst thing in my mind was that they placed the buffet table just outside the rest rooms. I left figuring I would never return. The other day I decided to take a trip down to Columbia Heights to check it out. I am happy to report that not only did they clean the place up but they got rid of the buffet tables. Keep up the good work, it shows.

This is one of my wife's favorite place to get pizza when we're in the state of Minnesota. I have always found the food to be really good. They do have other options as well and they certainly do not skimp on toppings. A great place to go if you want to avoid the chain restaurants.

Have been coming here for lunch for the past year. A great price for a personal pizza for lunch with cheese bread. The wait staff is great and remembers my order. They ask to make sure that is what I want. Recommend this place for people to go to.

Have lived down the road for about 2 years now and never once stopped by til about a week ago I decided to drop in for a Drink and Was blown away. The Bartender was amazing and the nachos were delicious. A little to crowded and noisey for my taste, but it seems like a great place for a party. May have to stop back for some pizza sometime. Solid bar food taken up a slight notch with modern twists that aren't too far-reaching like some of the more foodie type places. They have a really fun trivia night at 7 on Wednesdays with sound and visuals that definitely upstages Trivia Mafia's trivia! Fun place with a neighborhood bar atmosphere!

Ordered the "Tasty Highlight" Pizza, it was cut terribly, barely any sauce, the sausage was so finely ground it barely tasted like there was any sausage on it at all. Didn't enjoy the pizza one bit, my husband suffered and ate most of it because we didn't want to feel like we wasted money. The only thing worth ordering from this place is the chicken wings. Not sure we'll be ordering again.

I have introduced dozens of people to Tasty and they are in agreement the pizza is awesome. It's play off Sunday Vikings vs Eagles. We've been coming here for YEARS as my dad grew up in the area and LOVED tastys. Tastys is still tasty indeed, but their dining section and customer service is where they're taking the biggest hit. The dining section used to be HUGE, and you could have a really nice, warm, enjoyable family experience. The dining room has been cut by 50% and feels more cramped and it's dark and uncomfortable. I'm sure more people order delivery now, so I can't say I don't understand the cut back, but it's still a little cramped. The new bathrooms are god awful, and if you're a male you almost can't even see where you're aiming, so bring a laser pointer(being completely serious lol). The waitress that helped us yesterday 04/12/17 made the experience pretty crappy to be honest.(blonde woman in her 30's) She wasn't very nice, and at one point had a friend come in; which don't get me wrong is fine, but she ended up talking to that person for over 25 minutes and her coworker brought out our food because it had been ready for a couple minutes. Cmon. That's just sad. To top it all of, she totally forgot one of our pizzas, but luckily didn't charge us for it so I guess I can't really complain. The pizza is good, but depending on the pizza, a little over priced. if you enjoy regular wings, DONT GET THEIR WINGS. They are not marinated in the sauce, you have to dip them in the sauce and it is not even close to the same as a regular wing (I'm honestly puzzled as to why they don't just coat the wings in the sauce). To be 100% honest with you from human to human, the crust isn't for everyone. To some it's a little bland, but to me it just kind of completes the experience with the melted cheese grease and sauce. But you can't knock it till you try it! Overall, you're better off sitting at home and waiting for the delivery (granted they get it right). The experience inside has gone from "family friendly" to "bar patron friendly" and the whole family comfort has kinda been sucked out of the overall experience. I'll be ordering my pizza from now on.

Simple, crispy, and full-sized, they serve the best, simple wings around. I'm not kidding!
