I ordered a Caribe bowl, side chick salad, and fried tomatoes. In the bowl, I wish that the chicken tasted more jerk. I tasted some of the spice, not a lot of the jerk sauce. The plantains were my favorite part of this bowl. I ordered a side chick salad, I wasn't a big fan of that either. I didn't know what to expect with it, it was lettuce, cheese, and jerky. The best part of the meal was the fried tomatoes, I was really happy with how they came out. They came with a buffalo sauce as well, but the tomatoes were so tasty I only used the sauce sparingly. I was hoping the entire meal would taste better, if I did end up coming here again, I'd probably just get the fried tomatoes. The proportions felt a little small for how much money it cost.

I had a great experience with Soul Bowl! I build my own bowl and had Mac and cheese, jerk chicken and corn. The portion size was more than enough and the flavors were incredible! I definitely tasted the jerk seasoning/sauce and it paired nicely with the Mac and cheese. The staff was incredibly friendly and I liked that there were vegan/vegetarian options. I would definitely go back.

This is the kind of place where if I mention I’m going to Soul Bowl, the rest of the family texts “oh get me a bowl”. I love the food here. The fried chicken is fantastic! They change the menu from time to time which keeps the flavors fresh. I always build my own bowls so I get everything I want. I usually got with the Mac and cheese and choose meat and sides depending on my mood. They are located in the Graze North Loop with some other fantastic restaurants!

Stumbled upon this gem while at the Modist Brewery close by. It’s situated in an indoor two-floor food court with bars on both floors and all the places having food truck vibes. Perfect for the rainy day. The lady that took our order and delivered our food went by Solo and she is a wonderful employee to watch. She alone was running the front (register, packaging food and delivering). She offered us samples of the sides when we asked her opinion on some items. She was also very plentiful / not skimpy with the food portions whatsoever. I was honestly baffled on the amount of food she packed into the bowls. She made it like she was the customer wanting everyone penny they were spending. The food itself was delicious. We both made our own bowls. Rice, macaroni, jerk & fried chickens, sweet yams, corn, collards cornbread, etc. was all good. 10/10 experience from me.

Soul Bowl has potential, but there's room for improvement in both value and quality of the food. I came here because I won a gift card, but if I would have paid on my own I would've walked away feeling ripped off. I got the sweet and savory A.A. (Double A) sandwich, which was $15.68, and a small can of Diet Coke for around $3.50. Note that this place is on the second floor of Graze Provisions - I had to ask someone where it was. I wouldn't mind spending the money to support a local business, but I'd expect the flavor and quality to reflect the price. My favorite part of the bowl was the fried chicken, and while it definitely had potential, it was too salty for my liking and a bit over-cooked. The crispy breading mostly fell off the chicken, so I ended up getting mouthfuls of breading with no meat. The cornbread was fine, though a bit dry. I was hungry but only ended up eating about half the bowl because it just wasn't doing it for me. Overall it was just okay; I wouldn't seek it out again, especially for the high price.

Graze in general is a great place for the indecisive. I wanted fried chicken and soul bowl did not disappoint. The food is comforting. The collard greens were smoky. And the yams creamy and soft. As for the girls behind the counter super helpful. As everything looked good and they made a hybrid to my meal so I could get all the tastebud feels. Thank you! And we’ll definitely be back. 🙂

My mom and I went to Soul Bowl for lunch! We couldn’t find it at first until we went upstairs. I got the plant based caribe bowl and my mom got the plant based bbq chicken with rice and mushrooms. Both bowls were really good and filling, I really enjoyed the spicy and sweet combination of the caribe bowl with the pineapple, plantains, and slightly sweet chicken. My mom loved the smokiness of the mushrooms and bbq sauce. We also got blueberry lavender lemonade, it was not too sweet or too tart. We want to try more of the plant based chicken and other sides, we’ll be back!

This is my 2nd time ordering soul bowl. I got the hospitality bowl both times & it was really good. They do season everything pretty heavily so be mindful of that. It’s a new take on classic soul food. Everything is always cooked perfect & they give you alot. Mac & cheese is really cheesy & the greens are so good. Yams are really sweet but taste good mixed with the Mac. I could have easily shared this with another person. The corn bread is also really good, it’s different than anyone else’s as the butter is infused with lavender.

This was amazing. Everything was perfect - cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, portioned perfectly. Even the mac n cheese, and I usually avoid mac n cheese because as a food it's just a little bland and disappointing to me but this was a game changer. It was everything I've ever dreamed of. Every bite unlocked new emotions. I got the lavender lemonade too and it was nothing short of magical. In the picture the food is on the floor because i dont have furniture at the moment but I swear this food was so good I forgot I was eating on the floor. I felt myself die and go to heaven. I felt like I was hosting a flavor party in my mouth. I felt like quitting my job and falling in love. With this meal. And that lemonade...I wish I could just keep my fridge stocked with gallons of that stuff. All in all I will absolutely be getting food here again

Decent food, great atmosphere, clean & friendly staff. Being from the south the yams weren't it, but the greens & jerked chicken (open up my nasal cavity with the spice) were pretty good. I ordered the "Southern Hospitality", which traditionally comes with fried chicken.. Due me arriving close to closing, they were out of fried chicken -- so I requested jerk chicken instead; it was definitely jerked (in a good way)... Checkout there cornbread with honey lavender drizzle. FYI its definitely a lot of food, which I underestimated.

For the first time in two years, our company came together for an in-person party this summer. We chose Soul Bowl as our caterer for the event based on their rave reviews, and they did not disappoint! It was a seamless experience for us. They came to our office in Minneapolis, set up the food and then cleaned up their prep area. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and could accommodate all of our dietary restrictions – a huge win! Our staff enjoyed their lunch greatly. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for corporate/catering needs!

I just made the order of fried chicken n' mac cheese, with oreo brownie via doordash. The spicy sauce was fire, and the not-that-crispy chicken is well-blended with the greens on the top of that greasy and tasty as f mac cheese. The bowl is served in a big portion. Really satisfying, a 120 of 100 def.

Absolutely love the idea. A lot of potential. Unfortunately, the flavor/texture could be better. I did receive my order 1 hour late via foodsby, don't know if that contributed to texture, but my fried chicken was not crispy. I did also see someone else review the collard greens (tasted dirty). After taking a bite, I agree it doesn't have a very clean taste, like it wasn't washed well. I will say the beef patty was delicious though. One of the best ones I've had in MN actually. I may not go back for the bowls, but would definitely go back for the patties.

I ordered the Summer Bowl at Target Field yesterday. This was the second time I’ve been to Soul Bowl at Target Field. Both times were the same, flavorful but the Mac and cheese was extremely dry. It’s like there isn’t enough sauce to withstand being on a warmer for any length of time. If the Mac and cheese were creamy I would have given this a 5 star.

I have taken my daughter and friends to this restaurant. The southern cuisine in a bowl allows you to pick up all the flavors. I have tried the southern bowl with jerk chicken on the side. The seasoning is spot on, and nothing is dry. I would recommend this place to anyone that has not had southern cooking. The customer service was friendly, and this place has a nice vibe. If I were in my 20s, I would make this an early-evening hangout spot before I venture into downtown Mpls entertainment. Have to get some live music or DJs to get this place jumping. This restaurant has excellent food and a ton of potential.

Mannnn... everyone was very nice and pleasant! I called on the phone to check and see if I had to pay for parking (they said yeah), no problem 👍🏾 I was excited to try this place because I've heard good stuff about them and they had good reviews. I'm sad... it was NOT what was expected at all. The jerk chicken is VERY SPICY but lacks flavor! The Mac n cheese was literally like 92% noodle and 8% cheese. The greens seem to be mixed with cabbage... but they weren't bad, just not as expected! I asked if the jerk chicken was spicy and was told that the sauce is what's spicy, so I asked for one without sauce and it was still very spicy! It wasn't totally inedible, just wasn't what was expected, especially for the price! I probably won't be back, not my type of thing! But, good luck... hope they're successful! Edited. I forgot about the yams... OMG....no cinnamon, no vanilla, no taste... worst $5 spent of my life😭

I was super excited to try a new place. The jerk chicken was very tasty, as well as the collard greens. Rice, Mac & cheese very bland. Corn bread was dry. Guy at counter was friendly, lady serving food wasn’t friendly. She was rushing for me and my sons to pay and take our food to eat in dine in area. No one was behind us and we were first timers at this establishment. Disappointed to say the least.

I cant give this place enough stars. Wherever you are, point your GPS to Soul Bowl and go now. Amazing. Try AA chicken sandwich for an amazing experience. The perfectly blended flavorable but not too hot spices of the best fried chicken I have ever had mixed with the sweet cornbread bun is perfection. Add in the macaroni and cheese and greens and you have enough food for 2 meals or the perfect amount to send you to a cold weather food coma. But absolutely don't leave without the peach cobbler, you will hate yourself for not trying it.

First off just dope...I can't even give it another word. Food on point, inside a trendy little spot called Graze. The woman that helped us greeted us right away, didn't hesitate to let us know how it works, they dish it up as your order. The blueberry lemonade with some other secret flavors in it was bomb in the little drink pouches. It was like a touch of home cooked meal the kind where you bring your own Tupperware because you want to leave with more for later. Amazing and would definitely add this on my rotation of local businesses to support. How can you go wrong good music, nice smiles, great food my kind of weekend stop. I would of posted a photo if I didn't eat every last bite. lol

My kids agreed that Soulsicle was hands-down the best new food at the State Fair so we decided to search out this place and try it out. We weren't sure what to try so got a couple of bowls - Southern Hospitality and the FUBU Chicken and Waffle bowl... and we couldn't have been happier! Both were distinct and delicious - sweet and flavorful - chicken in both was awesomely crispy and moist. Certainly not for everyone... it's a lot of food and it's all together in a bowl, so think about that before you order but wow will we be back and not just at the Fair.

I love Soul Bowl! Today was my first time trying the Brittany BLT salad. Fried Chicken, Turkey Bacon...and the dressing, so good! I paired it with the Bey Lemonade! Pro tip: the lemonade is really sweet, so grab a glass of water and cut it half and half. It’s like getting a BOGO!

Very cool place in a great part of the city. Lots of choices of fare. We went with tacos. Started to order at 3:01 and the lady at the register said we could not have the lunch price because of 1 freaking minute. Ordered anyways and the food was pretty darn good.

I'm constantly craving comfort food and Soul Bowl is the place to be when the cravings hit. Recently visited and was impressed at the beautiful venue and gorgeous rooftop. We came mid-afternoon on a weekday so we had most of the rooftop to ourselves. To order, simply wait in a socially distanced line in Graze at the 2nd floor and ask for your fav menu item. Since it was our first time, I decided on trying the tradition Southern Bowl with no changes. I got the cornbread on the side and Beyonce Lemonade. The meal itself was astounding. Perfectly crispy and flavorful chicken, delicious mac & cheese, and healthful collard greens. Though, if I'm deciding not to be healthy one day, I might replace the greens with another side of Mac. It was that good! As for the corn bread, I liked it, but it wasn't my all time fav corn bread in town. Broke apart quite easily and wasn't as salty/buttery as others I have tried. However, would I still get it again ? Absolutely! It was still delicious and worth trying. The lemonade was good as well, albeit watered down a little and not as sweet. I would like to try the Blue Ivy next time - the lemonade with sweet tea - they were out of stock when I went. All of this aside, still giving this place a 5/5 because I loved the vibe, awesome staff and friendly atmosphere.

Fried chicken over salted tonight, plantains and greens were on point. Despite their online ordering saying to write vehicle details in order notes, this location does NOT offer curb side delivery even with a nice tip. Thankfully a few minutes double parked didn’t attract a ticket.

Great service. Was nice to try something different. My son brought us as he ranted and raved about the food. I tried the Southern Comfort bowl. It was alright. Fried chicken seemed overcooked. Mac n cheese was nothing special. I will never ever get collard greens again, they tasted absolutely terrible and I couldn't even stand the smell of them in my bowl. Thought I would give them a try as I never had them before and learned quickly I will never have again. Glad I tried though. The yams were very good, best part of the bowl. The very nest part of the meal though was the corn bread with lavender honey. That was to die for. Best ever cornbread! I would definitely get the bread again. I would be willing to try again, but select a different bowl off their extensive menu. Couple other tips, their jambalaya or gumbo I very spicey, even the rice is spicy. My wife likes spice and it was too much for her. Also, don't buy bottled water if you are eating in the food hall. The food hall has community water dispensers with glassware. Only get bottled water if purchasing to go.

I was looking to support a black-owned business on my birthday (today!), so I ordered from Soul Bowl using door dash. This was my first time ordering from Soul Bowl. I ordered the corn bread, So Fresh Bowl, and the Barry White oreo brownie. Even though they forgot to include my cornbread, I still give them 5 stars. The food was so delicious. The So Fresh Bowl includes this: Yellow rice, smoked mushrooms and grilled salmon glazed with brown sugar hot sauce and pineapple pico. It was the perfect mix of ingredients. I still have the taste of this in my mouth 5 hours later, making me want to order more.They also included a generous portion of the oreo brownie. It was moist but not too rich and was such a treat to satisfy my quarantined sugar cravings. The coconut ice cream on the side was great and I don't usually like coconut in my food. An added bonus was the compostable takeout containers. I will definitely order from them again. Maybe tonight! :)

The staff are friendly, the food is flavorful and plenty. Soul Bowl always hits the spot! I took my daughter here for a mommy daughter date and she loves the food and beverages there. This spot has vegan and gluten free options on the menu and is able to substitute. I also recommend them for catering. Super professional and they've come through in a crunch, more than once.

I had to come on here to read the reviews because I honestly was worried they messed up my order the Vegan jerk chicken bowl was so spot on and good! But not seeing other people said the same thing I think it’s just that amazing! And the corn bread is absolutely to die for! I agree with someone else the bey lemonade is a little sweet but add water and you get double and it’s perfect so I don’t really see that as a flaw! It’s so hard to find good vegan food outside of the Major major big cities or at least further south so I appreciate this so much!

Had issues picking up my order ... GPS was confusing about the location and I couldn't get through on the phone or messanger.. but overall food was great. Jerk chicken was my favorite. If I am to order again I'll ask for my greens to be separated from other food but I thoroughly enjoyed this meal.

This was GOOD. if you're unsure about the plant-based chicken, I encourage you to go for it. I definitely would have thought it was actually chicken if I didn't know better! Fun style, very generous serving sizes, and theres something for everyone!

I have only things to love about this Minneapolis classic. The salmon bowl is a fan favorite, chicken and waffles for the carniverous ones, the Bey lemonade is all things worth it among many other tasty options. Vegan friendly too. Staff are always showing love. If you want Black/African American cuisine, indulge in Soul Bowl.

If you have not been there or ordered online, you are missing A REAL TREAT. Pickup or drive up! I highly recommended SOUL BOWL. I have enjoyed several of the menu items. The organization has continued to produce great tasting creative bowls and sides. I enjoy each meal and the portions are adequate to generous as I can not finish a bowl in one sitting. The corn bread is tremendous, the chicken crispy, the greens tasty, and sweet potato just right. The Jerk chicken with coconut rice and beans is on point as the plantains are an excellent finishing flavor note. I could go on, but I will let you check out the menu! I must mention consistency as sometimes there are differences in presentation, but that is part of a growing business looking for the optimal product offerings. Two thumbs up 👍🏾👍🏾

I think it may have been 1 time they forgot my cornbread on a third party app order but other than that pssssshhh they are spot on every time! Flavor, quality, quantity everything is always A1. Definitely considering them catering every party or gathering I have. Not to mention being black owned, game changer!

I went here for the first time yesterday with a friend for dinner. We both had the Caribbean bowl and it was delicious. The chicken was very moist and the rice and beans were very flavorful. I also had a corn bread muffin and omg it was SO good. Very moist and soft. I will definitely be back as I want to try more of the bowls they have. Another thing I liked was the building the restaurant is in. It has great indoor and outdoor seating options and in the Summer sitting on their outdoor rooftop patio is amazing and you get an amazing view of downtown. We also got to meet one of the owners and she was very welcoming and friendly. She asked how we were liking the food and was just very nice.

Well I tried them out for the first time today and I will definitely say I am very impressed. I ordered the A.Asandwich and the proportion was very generous. The food was very tasteful the seasonings were perfect I usually would add hot sauce to most things but this right here needed nothing. My significant other got a dish that he thought was a little spicy so you might want to ask if the sauces are spicy, Other than that we will be returning and I will be letting my friends and family know that this place is true to its name.

My roommate treated me to this place on our 'order in' day. The food is absolutely FANTASTIC! The fried cauliflower wings had an absolute perfect texture and a sauce that made us both swoon! I tried the Summer Bowl and loved it while he tried a bowl topped with some absolutely incredible corn bread! I lived in Georgia for several years and still never had soul food this good! This will now be something I take my visiting family to! I LOVE it!!!

We got Soul Bowl catered for our holiday party and it was not only the BEST catered food ever; but the last time I had food this amazing was 10 years ago when I visited Italy. While Soul Bowl is clearly not Italian, I will never forget how incredible this food was.

Easily the best restaurant in Graze. I prefer my food in their own space but then make food in a bowl work well! Since it is in one bowl I usually stick with items that won’t get all over the rest of my food. That said, many people who love soul food are used to their greens and Mac & cheese touching. I think they would love anything on the menu. The beverages are also top notch and the owners are great!

Seriously SO GOOD. Collard greens were phenom, fried chicken was on point, and beef patty was exactly what I needed. Love that you can customize your bowl! Generous portions, could’ve slammed it all (IT WAS SO GOOD) but practiced self restraint and saved some for lunch once I was full. Will definitely be returning, can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!!

First Soul Bowl can be hard to find. It’s located upstairs inside of Graze. You can do fine in and if you do the bar upstairs serves awesome cocktails. Everything about Soul Bowl was amazing! I had the Southern Bowl. The fried chicken was boneless, tender, and so flavorful. The collard greens had just enough kick. My guy had the build your own bowl with salmon. The peach gobbler was delicious with a different spin on a southern classic. Definitely check it out and support.

My wife and I just had Soul Bowl for the first time. I love a big bowl of vegan deliciousness and even having that option is wonderful in the first place--and it was delightful! The barbeque sauce is spicy and sweet. I took one bite of the lavender cornbread and immediately reached over to write this review. I had to take a minute to breathe it was so perfect. This is a place where the food is obviously cooked with love.

Truly an unexpected joy. Graze in The North Loop is its own unique venue. Offerings plenty of socially distanced seating inside and out, main floor or upper patio. Sundays are a sleepy day with only 2 food venues and Honey & Rye open. Yet Soul Bowl took the cake for well-prepared, well-thought soul food to satisfy any palate, including MN ones. The Fried Chicken and Waffle bowl, the Fried Chicken with Greens salad bowl, the Mac & Cheese, and the cornbread were all tasty, sassy and soulful. We left full, and enjoyed iced teas from Honey & Rye. A great Sunday lunch/brunch, reasonable prices, and masks required. Enjoy.

The best food in graze food hall. Very flavorful, filling, and can feel good about eating it frequently because of many healthy options and veggies. The greens are some of the best I have had. it was a different experience on how you order food, and the kitchen was closed for 30 minutes from the time we were there for disinfecting. But it just seemed disorganized, service was super busy so people in the restaurant had to wait for those who order online, a couple of the cook staff masks did not cover their noses and then they would touch their mask to move it up with the hands that they were serving the food with . I might give it another shot but the online ordering didn't work for us either, maybe because they were so busy? Very fun atmosphere though. More than one restaurant and bar available for all the different seating areas.

EAT HERE AND GET THE SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY BOWL!!!!!! I can not stress this enough eating anywhere else is risky. This place is my go to for collard greens. I have yet to find a place in the twin cities that does greens right like they do. As a southerner I can say it's all made right and so good you'll probably want to nap after. Delicious. I ordered jerk chx, collard greens, and yellow rice. Added the beef patty as a side and the jerk and the island pepper sauces. Only complaint was that a lot of collard greens sauce was in my bowl and made it kinda soupy until I mixed the rice with it and made congee.

Made my own bowl: Fantasia fried chicken with mac and candied yams. SO much food for the price. 10/10 never a miss!

Food was hit or miss, and I missed. Either it was over peppered for one bowl and lacked seasoning in the other bowl. Peach cobbler is one of my favorite desserts, but that's a hard NO for me. It's simply not for me.
