Go for the pizza of course! We had the Red Wagon and Margarita. Also tried the bar chips and fires roasted veggies. Nice beer and wine selection. Very family friendly with lots of kids when we went for an early dinner at 5:30pm. I like how they worded their added 18% hospitality fee, makes it very clear. Thank you for that.

This is the best pizza I've ever had! We started with the Italian salad and it was exactly as expected, great flavors and perfectly dressed. Next up was the meatballs, 3 decent sized meatballs in a bed of red sauce with fresh cheese; very delicious, tender, and a nice crispy outside. The showstopper though... That darn pizza! We ordered the bahn mi pizza, the flavors were out of this world and tasted perfectly of traditional bahn mi flavors. The crust was cooked to utter perfection, crispy, chewy, omg! Can't wait to go back and try another of their creations!

I had the margherita and it was good but not great for the price. The service was good for how busy it was on a Saturday evening. The outdoor seating chairs are pretty uncomfortable. There is currently an eighteen percent gratuity automatically added to the bill in place of tipping, which goes to all staff, but you can also elect to add a tip directly to your server.

This has to be the best place for pizza and drinks in MPLS! I’m a huge Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives fan and was so excited to find out that Guy featured this spot on DDD, and I can totally see why! The pizza selections are super fun and the quality of the ingredients is fantastic. We tried the McLovin, Banh Mi, Carl the Cuban, and Red Wagon Pizza and we washed them all down with Cann Lemon Lavender THC tonics. I love that this place is so innovative on its drinks and food selection. Can’t wait to return!

This neighborhood spot is always busy when I stop in to pick up my order. I have always had a good experience. Pizza here is the closet I’ve found that reminds me of NYC. This has been the crispiest pie so far in a year. But as a former industry person of 15 years, it’s a little off putting when you sit at the bar, the bartender makes clear and direct eye contact with you and then goes to the other side of the bar to start drying dishes. I will have be more direct next time in ordering.

Great service, but the pizza was just "meh". We ordered a "half" pizza - one half was the Popeyes and the other half was the Red Wagon Pizza. We also ordered Buffalo Wings for an app. I was excited to try the pizza because the toppings and the combination of them sounded interesting. Alas, it was just "meh". The flavors/toppings just didn't work well with each other. Buffalo Wings were good; really liked the blue cheese dressing. We also ordered the strawberry cheesecake ice cream cookie... Definitely not ordering that again.

We love the whole experience at Red Wagon! From the moment you make a reservation, to wrapping up any leftovers or to-go items at the end of your meal, their hospitality is just fantastic and so personable. The pizza and appetizers are all terrific and the Wednesday pasta nights are a family favorite! A super deep beer list is complemented by some great wines, and the desserts are SO GOOD! Go hungry, order a lot and don’t worry because the leftovers are amazing the next day.

Went to Red Wagon for dinner with my brother last night (6/23). Though it was quite busy, we were able to get a spot at the bar. Our server was working behind the bar for the first time. He was kinda overwhelmed but handled it wonderfully! He was professional, kind & always checking in with us. We shared the meatballs & the Popeye pizza. Both were wonderful! The meatballs were a touch underdone in the middle, however I think they were still really good. The pizza on the other hand was cooked to perfection! Great atmosphere, great food...can't really ask for more!

We couldn’t have had a better experience!! Our server, Sarah, was so friendly and attentive, great with our kids! The pizzas we ate were delicious, the best we’ve had anywhere. We were lucky enough to meet Pete, who was so gracious and made us feel at home. Can not recommend Red Wagon enough!

I really enjoy the pizza at red wagon. Their Buffalo chicken pizza is super good. Wish they added a bit more blue cheese sauce, but I always want more sauce. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I also really enjoyed the Detroit pizza (not pictured) and the Italian salad (not pictured) …

If I could give 7 out of five I would. To start off with the atmosphere was amazing with lit candles, a beautiful lit up tree outside for a view, and tasteful music. We had Dani as our waitress and they were outstanding and so friendly. The food was splendid. We got bbq wings which were far superior to regular bbq wings. We also got two pizzas that just blew us away. Overall the entire experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend.

This pizza was pretty great, and they actually accommodated us when they hardly had any room and we didn't have a reservation. That's not a promise that they're going to do that for everyone, but they did everything they could. I wasn't too excited about the extra fees though. 18% on top of your regular food price, and then a tip expected as well. That added about an extra $30 on top of what you think you're going to pay for the food.

Just a wonderful local joint. Guy Fieri loves it. Enough said. Seriously though, everything is hand made from scratch and it's not hard to believe that. Pizza is excellent, as are the gigglebar dessert (trust me, try it) and the chocolate salted caramel. Service was fantastic, atmosphere warm and relaxed. All around outstanding!

One of the best pizza I’ve ever had (and I am from NYC). We got the double pep and red wagon pizzas. They gave the kids pizza dough to play with which I thought was so clever and generous of them! It kept them occupied the entire time.

This is a place you go to for very creative pizza. They have a bunch of types of sauces and lots of toppings like dill pickles and cornflake crusted buffalo chicken. They also had a selection of a few dozen craft beers so visiting just to have a few drinks would make sense, it's not just a pizza place. For those who are interested, Red Wagon also has a few THC infused seltzers for sale and they had THC gummies too.

Excellent. Love this place. Recently moved to Linden Hills area and this has been a go-to spot for us. We have been ordering delivery or take-out and each time it doesn’t disappoint! I am excited to check them out with dine-in someday. We love the Bahn Mi pizza as our classic, but I have enjoyed the creative flavors of their others too! I love the way they showcase other Italian ingredients (especially Mortadella and Soppressata !! Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone with flavor combos - they know what they are doing! Also shout out to Red Wagon for having a great Gluten Free crust! They partner with local SIFT bakery to offer a delicious GF crust that rivals any I have had before. Pro tip: if you do takeout or delivery, I recommend ordering as Par-Baked so that it comes to you partially baked (and in some cases with toppings on the side). This ensures you get the hot, bubbly-cheese finish you crave!! in this area you either go to Red Wagon, Rosalia, or Lola for pizza of this caliber. red wagon is one of our top choices next to Lola. both offer something a little different so it depends on what you’re in the mood for. with us it tends to be a 50/50 split between the two. our go to is the red wagon pizza with a side of their ricotta to spread on the pizza. try it.

Ordered delivery. Call to place the order was simple and quick. The person taking my order was clear and easy to understand. The food was very good and still warm. The only complaint would be the pizza got smashed to one side during delivery.

Been meaning to go to this place for a while, since it’s highly recommended by my friends. They have a great COVID friendly takeout setup, where you call when you arrive and they deliver contactless to your parking spot, just have your trunk popped open. Since we’ve never been before, we started with the pizza named after the place. We added some local Pryes Raspberry Sours to go along with it and the pub fries. They forgot to include the fig balsamic in the takeout bag (giving a free pass on this since it was crazy busy on the day before Thanksgiving), but even without it - that was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Pub fries were amazing too. Best indicator of a great meal: no leftovers.

Caught it on a slow Friday afternoon. Awesome place. 30+ beers on tap, perfectly unique pizza. GF and I split a Double Pep / Sliced Pear Gorgonzola pizza and a Mozzarella plate. SO good. It was $20 for the pizza, $17 for Mozz plate, so pretty okay pricing. Would come here again next time we’re around.

Red Wagon Pizza in Minneapolis.... The Meatball appetizers were dynamite! A half Popeye/BanhMi Pizza...Very delicious...the pork was OUTSTANDING on the BanhMi!! Amazing place...great staff as well, very friendly and informative on the menu. We haven't been able to get up to Minnesota lately so when we saw Peter Campbell on a special edition of Diners Drive-Ins and Dives Takeout Edition I got online and ordered up some pie.... That Carl the Cuban Pizza featuredvon the show is OUTSTANDING!!! As a big fan of the Cuban Sandwich (having had various ones from Minnesota to Florida) I never even contemplated a pizza version 🤯...mind-blown!!! The Citrus Cuban Pork is inspired! So flavorful...its what pork on all Cuban Sandwiches strive to be...paired with the shaved ham its the Dynamic Duo...a great one-two punch! Whatever the "house cheese" is..it is the perfect cheese for this pizza, bringing the two meats together into the perfect balance of spicy and salty...the pickles and mustard are two things that I'd probably never think to put on a pizza are two ingredients that this pizza cannot be without!! They, like Peter and Carl ( the Pizzas namesake), bring the fun to the party!!! We were glad to hear on the TripleD Takeout episode that Peter and Carl had become friends as these two are two of our favorite chefs that we've seen on the show....I wish we had gotten the chance to meet him. We love watching him the times we seen him on TripleD and TripleG!! I can say now that I see why Guy, Hunter, and Ryder picked the Carl The Cuban Pizza as their favorite during that episode...it is the perfect tribute to an amazing guy. Coming here was an amazing choice, and here's why. The service was fantastic, and the employees were very friendly. Our waitress was great with helping us figure out some items on the menus. The food was really good. I would highly recommend stopping here if you are just coming through or want to try a new spot. Plenty of outdoor seating and indoor seating. Ugh, Why do I keep trying non traditional pizzas? I guess because Minnesota keeps nailing the experience!! Listen, I like my meats and pepperoni and the norm. But spots like Red Wagon make me venture out my comfort zone, and yes they are spendy, but EVERYTIME they nail it. The Banh Mi visually was intimidating but a flavor packed punch that tasted jus like a...well yeah!...a Banh Mi! Only order Banh Mi if you’ve had one before from a Viet restaurant. The other half is the bbq chicken, it’s slappin!

Everything we have tried has always been so good. Favorites the New Haven salad, P.S.O. pizza and Olive Oyl pizza!! OH and the APEROL SPRITZ! Felt like I was back in Florence!

Wings were super good, got the jerk if I remember correctly. Pizza was ok. Not sure what style of pizza this is, but it's not made for men with manly appetites. It was thin, and there were no size options, but didn't really know that until I got home and popped the pizza box open. Don't get me wrong, tasted good, but coulda at this on my own and then some. I'd recommend going here and indulging in a couple brewski's and smashing some wings. Get the pizza if you're on the Atkins diet or Keto or whatever name they made up for starving yourself.

Great service….. delivered to the local brewery that does not serve food, but provided no utensils, napkins… anything! I asked the kind delivery fellow.. nothing. Tough to eat a salad without a fork. But the food was great and the service prompt, so all in all, pretty great. I guess ask for the utensils and napkins if you order two pizza’s, a salad, wings and chip’s if you are not ordering from home. Just make note, brewery was accommodating (no utensils provided)..just great beverages and atmosphere!

Best wings I've ever ate 15/10, had the Buffalo and the sauce had heat but not too much. The pizza was good but I like a lot of sauce and it didn't have enough for me but still 9/10. The blue cheese is also the best I've ever had. Make reservations though, it's not slow just busy. Waitress was good and on top of it. 10/10 recommend this place

Don’t get me wrong the food is very good but the service and atmosphere is top notch. We have a 2 year old son who joined us for dinner and as you can imagine he is a very busy kid. Some places look annoyed when we bring our kid with but they almost embraced it. They have little pizza dough balls that kids can play with while waiting for the food and they even gave him a pocket sized red wagon to keep (which he absolutely loved). It’s so nice as parents having a place to go that had good food and is kid friendly. Much respect and keep up the great work! We will be back.

We had the Red Wagon pizza and a pepperoni pizza along with the home made Spinach Tortellini. Everything was awesome and on top of that they have a great selection of craft beer.

I used to live in Twin cities and came back for a visit. My friend suggested for us to go to the red bag and Pizza Company. I loved everything about this place! I am very particular about what I choose to eat and this Place checked all the boxes for me, The pizza was out of this world, the salad was fresh , Great service and the staff was friendly! We had a chance to visit with the owner Peter, I was so impressed with his passion for what he does and selecting ingredients with the highest quality. Peter and his team deserve six stars!

If my death row guard told me I could only pick pizza for my last meal, well, I’m taking Red Wagon. And, specifically, their signature Red Wagon pie because if the gods ate food (which I’ve always wondered about - do they need to eat if they’re immortal?) then it would be Red Wagon. Drinks are all solid, the atmosphere is casual but cool, and the service - especially Becca - is top notch. Hands down better than Pizzeria Lola, just a few blocks away. Just one man’s opinion. Which I guess should be taken with a grain of salt since I must’ve done something stupid to land on death row.

Fantastic neighborhood pizza joint. Great pizza menu, which allows you to build your own anything, and expansive beer and wine options. They even have a craft cocktail menu in partnership with a local distiller. Would recommend easily if you are in the neighborhood. Nice outdoor space, but the bar is just as great

Excellent food. The pizzas were creative - we did 1/2 BBQ and 1/2 Red Wagon and they were both delicious. Perhaps even more impressive, the roasted vegetables were fantastic - highly recommend. Great beer selection and a good wine list. The *only* reason I’d give it less than 5 stars was the wait time - which was long because we were there on the ‘first patio day’. However, the owner came over and apologized and thanked everyone for their patience and was generally lovely.

THE BEST PIZZA IN THE CITIES! I rarely write reviews but this place is too good! Not only is their pizza amazing but the service is over the top amazing! I ordered takeout tonight and I got the time wrong, arriving about 30 minutes early. They were SO nice and brought me and my son out chips while we waited! PLEASE go here you won’t be disappointed!

In the COVID lockdown watched the episode of DDD to find this place in my backyard. Never heard of it as a local to Minneapolis since I was young. After waiting months, I finally got to visit. Saw that they offered reservations but not reservations on the same day. Decided to get there before the dinner rush. I will say that the service was not awful but it's was definitely sub-par. Waited nearly ten minutes just to get the drink order, had to ask multiple times for water, but generally great service. The food was okay. I don't mind spending $20+ on a pizza, especially for the size. But the flavor just wasn't there. Tried the Cuban pizza (DDD feature) and the pizza that is supposed to be the flavors of a Big Mac. Nothing memorable about it, just okay. The atmosphere was great, and it's a good stop. Yet, for the prices based on the quality did not add up in my opinion. Travel over to Lola.

One of the best pizza places in the city hands down. Red Wagon has been my favorite for years now, and they show no signs of letting up. A perfect not thin, not thick crust forms the base of all their pies, and their topping selection is always flavorful and creative (the namesake RWP, Bahn Mi, and Red Woods BBQ are probably my favorites). Apps are all solid, but what deserves particular attention is their wall of awesome beers. Thier tap list is huge and has both tapped cocktails and a really wide seasonally rotating collection. Best pizza, seriously.

I came here on a Friday night with my husband and 2 friends. We had a cocktail outside while we waited about 45 min for a table. The restaurant is smaller inside than I was expecting. My husband hates waiting for tables but we've been wanting to try this for a long time. My husband is Italian and lived in NYC for many years and has been missing decent pizza since moving to MN. We started with buffalo chicken wings which were delicious. Definitely some of the most tender wings we've had. We tried 5 different pizzas since most pizzas can be split between 2 flavors. Our favorite was Off the Wagon followed by Popeye. We enjoyed the Nash pizza but it felt a little repetitive after the wings. We loved everything so much we are planning on coming back next month!

Really busy place! We arrived at 9 pm, and it was full. Two places at the bar opened after 10 minutes. We loved our pizza. They have a huge selection of beers on tap and a few cocktails too. Staff does a great job and never standing around.

There's probably 6-7 other pizza places (non-chain) in between us and red wagon but we always come back. The pizza is great and the buffalo wings are the best we've had at any restaurant, seriously. No, they aren't cheap, but they are also not even comparable to the "5.99" pizza from other places

I've eaten pizza all over the world and there are some truly amazing pizza parlors out there. There are also some truly horrendous pizza parlors out there. The Red Wagon Pizza Company is definitely on the list of the former. They offer an eclectic style of wood fired za's that I found to be truly unique. Their menu wasn't huge, but it was adequate while offering several different options. Would I recommend this place to friends and family? Absolutely! You could do a chain pizza place, but why bother? This place is WAY, WAY BETTER than any chain pizza place on the planet!

I rate this place 4 stars for the food and 1 star for service. Not sure what was going on with our server. When I asked her a question, she continued to walk away while talking to me. Didn't show me on the menu, just mumbled as she was walking away. We ordered an app and never got it. Told her to cancel our order for it when our pizza came out, she never apologized, just acted like that was normal. Also I was never asked if I wanted another drink, my beer ran out, no refill. It was seriously one of the worst experiences I've had. It's a shame because the pizza was great and it looked like the other servers were great too. Maybe she was just having a bad day.

So many good pizzas but the pasta is fantastic as well. Always friendly staff. Great beer selection. The patio is awesome during good weather. Can get a bit crowded at the front door if there is a wait and I wish the bar area was a bit more accessible (the huge bar stools aren't helping).

Just got our very first order from here (it was take out, par-baked), and I've gotta say it was well worth the price. We called to order and they were attentive, quick, and accurate. Upon arrival we called for the contactless pick up. They were out within seconds. We just cooked and ate multiple kinds. Both the Margarita and Red Wagon Special were exceptional high notes. The crusts were a thin, fluffy pan style, and the sauce was fresh and flavorful. Just enough toppings were present to give it flavor without taking away from the crust and sauce. If you're willing to spend a little more on your pizza, you won't be disappointed! Thanks Red Wagon!

I was staying in Minneapolis and asked a few local people where to get the best pizza. Several recommended Red Wagon. The location is easy to find and I did not experience a wait - I was there on a Thursday night. My server was kind, very familiar with the menu and provided excellent service. I had a beet salad with oranges, pistachio and onion. This salad turned me into that girl that takes pictures of their food! This salad was so amazing. My server spoke with the chef and was then able to explain to me how it was made. Beets can taste like dirt, but in an earthy way. But not these beets. These were sweet and crunchy. Kinda like a water chestnut. Oh my gosh. It was amazing. Check this place out. It's pretty special!

Personally felt like the customer service was poor. Empty drinks that had to ask for refills even though cup was empty for multiple times when waiter walked by to check on us. Paid $27 for peperoni, mushroom, and fresh mozzarella pizza with a coke. Too pricey for what i got. Pizza was not bad but mushrooms were kinda nasty. Pizza had a nice char that i liked. Patio area is very nice but was full when we came. Asked for a booth but were denied due to party being to small. Got a little noisy for a small area. Would say its a good place for a quick bite or meeting with someone if in the area but will plan to go somewhere else instead.

This is now my #1 favorite pizza place in the Cities. And if you like beer... they have an incredible tap beer selection too. Always an opportunity to try something new. The pizza is top notch, thin crust wood-fired pizza. Our family favorite is the Red Wagon with peppers on only half for the kiddo. The Caesar Salad is also great. The ONLY downside is that it gets pretty loud inside when the place is full; in the summer the patio is the place to sit. Kid friendly, great staff and some interesting menu items too. GO here.

This place is amazing. The pizza never disappoints, and the Annie’s bananas dessert is to die for. One time I ordered no onion on my pizza and a mix up happened (take out order) which wasn’t a huge deal. The restaurant called me before I had even discovered the issue, personally apologized and offered to refund my pizza price. She sounded so genuine too. I don’t feel we get that true customer service anymore, but Red Wagon certainly lives the service value. Make this your new neighborhood go to!

Best pizza I’ve had in awhile! I ordered a half and half pizza and got to try the Red Wagon Pizza and the Red BBQ pizza, and also tried the Bahn Mi pizza from my friends’ pizza snd all were DELICIOUS! The balsamic glaze on the Red Wagon and the pork on the Bahn Mi pizza were some highlights. Great service, and even got to chat with Chef Peter which was very cool! Highly recommend

Was there on Monday night 9/30. Everything was really good! The lettuce on the salad was a little iffy though. I told the staff and they ended up taking it off the bill which was unnecessary because we still ate the whole thing! The marinated feta is excellent. Only complaint was the seating arrangements and how loud it was (tables are all crammed really close together making it hard to carry on a conversation without overhearing everything from the tables next to you). They would do well adding some acoustic paneling to the walls/ceilings to help dampen the noise.

The power to the restaurant was partially out when I visited, which took out their electronic ordering system. Service was a bit slower and you could tell people were flustered, but they handled it like champs. The food was delicious and everyone was really friendly. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table for two but had friendly attentive service and delicious pizza and pepperoni roll. We split a pizza between two of us and a pepperoni roll appetizer and ended up with 2 slices leftover. Our server also suggested we heat up or pizza in the morning with a sunny side up egg on top for breakfast. Definitely go here!

Overall: My husband and I had been here a few years ago and remember enjoying the food. We were looking forward to taking our friends from out of town. Sadly, our second visit was pretty mediocre. With all of the great pizza places in the Twin Cities, we probably won’t go back. Food: I was excited that they had a vegan pizza, but the flavor combination just didn’t work for me— too much of the sunflower Romesco sauce. Our friends had the Banh Mi pizza and also weren’t impressed with the flavor of the sauce. However, we all commented that the crust was great! Drinks: They were out of the beer we were interested in trying as well as several others. We ended up just drinking water. Service: The hostess was super cold. No “Hello” or “Have a nice night!” It really didn’t set a great tone for our experience. Our waitress was totally fine. We had plenty of water and our pizzas came out relatively quickly. Just a “meh” experience. Not worth the hype.

Overall, a great experience. It very interesting to read about the history of Red Wagon. You can tell with the quality of their food and service that they try to keep the values that made them a neighborhood favorite in this current business. The pizzas come in one size that is perfect for 2-3 people. We split a pizza and that was just about perfect for two adults. What was nice was afterwards, we didn't feel disgusting. Often times when you have pizza that has sub par ingredients, you feel sub-par after finishing. Not here. They have top notch ingredients. The sauce is semi-sweet, but spicy with a nice taste. The cheese tastes fresh and "real" (if that's a thing). When I try a new pizza place, I try to get one or no toppings so I can get a feeling for what the big three (sauce, cheese, and dough) taste like. Those three ingredients make for a one of the best pizzas I've had to date. It's nice to dine at a restaurant that values the quality of the food and a customer experience. Not once did our glasses go empty with water, and we were greeted right away upon arrival. You can tell that everyone takes pride in what their doing. The atmosphere is darker and a bit "modern", but you wouldn't feel out of place with shorts and a t-shirt. They have a nice patio that I'm sure is hopping during the summer months - although they do have heaters that help when it gets a bit nippy out. For adult beverages, they have a big rotating list of beers that often times compliment something on their menu. A great time mixed with great, high quality food, makes this a place I highly recommend and will be going back to.

They have great pizza and a large selection of beer. They have a small parking lot but there is available street parking. Only thing I deducted a star for was the service - they seem to be a bit understaffed during peak hours. Had to spend 5 minutes before to find the host (who was doubling up as busser) to put our name on the wait list. Says tables are full, which is fine, but there are a few tables sitting vacant for at least 10 minutes before they sat the next available group (because the host was either by the bar or by the kitchen busy helping with other stuff). Some vacant tables sat uncleaned for quite some time as well. Apparently, the stools by the bar are "seat yourself", but the stools by the kitchen (next to the bar) are host seating, which is kind of hard to tell and a bit confusing for first-timers, as they are pretty much the same countertop/stools. Bartenders were running around pouring drinks and doubling as waitresses, so sometimes everyone is out on the floor and no one is tending the bar. Took 10-15 minutes after we ordered for them to serve us our drinks. Normally we spend an hour on casual dining, but we spent more than a couple of hours from start to finish (and that's when we got lucky with available bar stools). They could really use part-time help during peak hours on a weekend. Once the new customers slowed down service was much better. I hope they figure this out - right now it's probably more ideal to just order to go.

Yummy pizza! I tried the pear, gaurgonzola, walnut pizza. It was really good. Would have liked more pears but it still tastes great! The margharita (sp?) Pizza was delicious as well! Very, very loud though.

We drove from Iron River Wisconsin to experience the place we saw on tv. OMG SO WORTH IT!!! Tortellini was amazing!!!!! Made from scratch pasta...perfect!! Spinach and ricotta filling to die for.....the lemon finish...PRICELESS!! Peter took the time to talk with us. Such a humble man. The PIZZA!!!!! Try it for yourself...iam speechless!!!
