Went here before Christmas. It was pretty crowded but fill with a amazing people and environment minus one rude server. The Christmas decorations are quite nice. I love the booth gingerbread House decor. Also love love the Thanksgiving pizza and drinks. Will come again for sure. The Christmas machine was a creative idea too. ☺️

We had a blast at the holiday Mary's Christmas Palace take over. It looks like the North Pole exploded over every inch of this place, and the menu is full of festive options. The service is a bit of a new concept, but effective and everyone was very friendly and professional. The GM Cassie runs a very smooth operation, and I would go many more times this season if I could!!

This place is a gem! A fun experience for everyone. They go all out for Christmas.... lights everywhere you look and Christmas music playing. The booths are all decorated like little gingerbread houses. The food is a limited selection but is very good! Amazing chefs! And the service is very friendly and prompt! A great place to bring your family for a unique experience!

Visited during the Mary's Christmas party. Fun atmosphere food and drink arrived quick once ordered through the QR code. Was able to leave tab open to order more. Bummer some of the drinks were sold out, hope they come back in stock later in the season.

We walked in on a whim and were greeted and seated almost immediately. They do have a QR code to log into their system and order, so if you aren’t tech savvy I recommend bringing someone who is. Food and drinks came out relatively quick. The drinks were good, I felt the service was great, although minimal. Definitely a quirky bunch which we love and appreciated. The place is a must see. It’s decorated from top to bottom.

I was super impressed by this place! Such a unique spot in mpls. Fun drinks and delicious pizza! I ordered the pesto pizza and I would come back just for that!! Ordering was easy, just on your phone, and service was pretty fast considering how many people were there.

This was on my places yo visit list for long time and when I visited I wasn’t that impressed. The food menu they have is very small and might have changed recently. But the food tasted good. The place is absolutely nice but need some arrangement on the deck. It was all shuffled and wasn’t finding right place and clean place to occupy. So they should concentrate on keeping the tables clean and available all the time .

One of the best patios in the Twin Cities. Updates happen often for a fresh new look. Great craft cocktails in a fun atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is pretty good too!

So, I love the place. Food and drinks are fantastic, BUT... there's no table service and you have to order through their app, which resets after everything you order. And... We have a severe food allergy in our party so I have to order and the run around to try to get someone in the kitchen to run interference. Never felt like I could unwind and enjoy the meal.

Wonderful surprise! The atmosphere is fantastic as well as the water view. The food was delicious but the qr code way of ordering does not allow for substitutions on anything, even as simple as sauce. I hope the QR this is due to lack of help and not that stupid COVID-19 thing.

We went on a Wednesday around 6 PM. It’s a kid friendly place but they suggest that if you’re under the age of 21 to visit before 9 PM. As soon as we walked in one of the employees greeted us instantly which made me feel welcome (always a plus). So I eat anything plant based, so I decided on the Deep Fried Cauliflower, Hot Patootie Tater Tots & the Love Potion drink. My friend ordered the Science Fiction pizza, Frank n Furters & A Tender Subject which was chicken sliders on Hawaiian rolls. We enjoyed everything we tried. One thing I will say is that the cauliflower wings & tots were just a bit too oily but overall they were good & the texture was on point for me. Pretty laid back spot to visit on a weekday. I’m sure they’re pretty busy on the weekends. 7/10

What a wonderful back patio overlooking the river! We stopped in for drinks and pizza’s and had a wonderful time. This is the mai tai and the virgin cocktail. Both were fabulous! Will definitely be back for more. I can’t give five stars because we have had issues with the Toast ordering system. We miss having wait staff and have had our orders come out incorrectly before.

Very unique place by the lake, the sittings are really comfortable and the Tiki drinks are fun. You can pay more to bring a cup home as well. Food wasn't impressive but it was good. We were mainly there for the drinks

MAKE A RESERVATION. I was blown away with all the Christmas decorations. I LOVED it! It's definitely different than a normal restaurant with service. I loved how my cocktail came out in a Christmas ornament! It was super good as well. The food was great! Definitely will be back. But ill make a reservation next time.

This place is super cool, especially at night. Went there around the holidays and it was almost over-decorated with fun displays and ornaments. I don't know if it's just a Summer thing, but they've only had pizzas as a main course.

Tropical themed outdoor dining is great over looking the river. Lots of interesting drink options. Food consists mostly of appetizers, pizzas and burgers.

At the moment, the upper level is open which has some red ambiance-illumination. This as a cozy, rom-fun feeling to the place. Personally love it this way. The food caresses your senses, talking about the pizzas, the put real attention here (Party Hat Pizza for 3 or 4). And the drinks, the are the real work, right on point what you asked and a little more of magic with it. A tiki-caribbean bar-grill restaurant full of unexpected exiting experiences

The Christmas theme was so cool. I wish they had more of a menu selection. The food was OK. Was fun to decorate cookies with everyone. Also you have to pay to reserve a table and it's not put towards your food order which is expensive I feel.

Nice and great drinks. Patio is right by the river. When I visited it was seat yourself everywhere and order and pay at the table. It’s not as nice as it was a few years ago because of depreciation but it’s still a good time! I only had food here twice and I can’t remember details so not that great or memorable New review 2022: Their Christmas theme is amazing. The drinks were so great and definitely memorable lol. The food was average but we only had appetizers. I had the Jesus shot, fruit cakes, and two apple manhattans. All were great and I heavily recommend their manhattans as it’s my favorite thing on the menu. You won’t regret this outing!!

Went to Psycho Suzi's for an early nightcap. It was over-the-top with Christmas decorations... and maybe even some leftover Halloween stuff! This is a pic of the Mai Tai. All the drinks had interesting names. Some came in glass take-home containers. We also had melty gooey yummy cheese curds with marinara sauce.

This is a fun spot for holiday photos and a group outting. I give it three starts because the food and drinks are very overpriced. The drinks are more sugary and for the aesthetic. The food is plain, so i wouldn’t plan it for dinner. The vibe inside is fun during the holidays, but I wouldn’t visit it outside of that.

This spot is super fun for the whole family. We have gone in the summer and brought our dog along and also stopped in during the holidays! The menu selections work well with kids! The decor is fun and over the top…in a good way!

Love this place in the summer. Visited last night and the service was disappointing. Our bartenders were great, they just had no support. No one to stock ice or glassware for them, the manager was just walking around looking confused. At one point while we were waiting to order our drinks the manager told us he couldn't help us, that the bartender would have to...Just doesn't say TEAM to me. Maybe it was an off night, I will be back but not until the summer.

Loved this place so much I came twice during my vacation. I love the concept of unique mugs per drink (and the much larger refills you get when you purchase one). The drinks themselves were really good, the place has lovely river views, and the vibe is awesome. Great place to go as a group.

Wow. We were expecting a tiki bar, but apparently a decision maker is obsessed with Christmas. The entire place, in October, was decorated with seemingly every Christmas decoration in the state. It was like Christmas vomit, but in the best possible way. Even the menu was Christmas themed, and the cocktails did not escape campy frill. Several are served in ornaments, some if which you can keep! This is an experience you must have. Psycho Suzi's is up for sale, and I hope the new owners don't change a thing.

Went for some dinner and cocktails, had so much fun in the Christmas wonderland! It's really well done, meaning it's extremely over done, as is their way. QR code ordering at the table made everything easy. Our app came wrapped in tissue paper, so creative! I'd recommend to anyone who loves Christmas :)

Love the Christmas theme however the price of the food did not match having no server. I was not impressed on having to order via phone versus having a good waiter to ask for suggestions and request water. Never did get any water which is what I drink with my food.

Not Your Traditional Tiki Bar! Cocktail 🍹 Pretty cool stop in our Minneapolis adventures. The drinks were absolutely delicious and the vibe was spot on 👌 Larger than most Tiki bars, but live music, a diverse crowd made this a great place to start our night. Staff was super engaging and made great recommendations. 👍👍

Always the best vibes coming here! Amazing and helpful and kind staff!!!! I can’t rave enough! Either you go chill outside on your dreamy patio or sit inside which is also outsideish vibes and feel like you are in the perfect tiki room. I love allllll their drinks and the pizza was delicious! I absolutely love how you can buy one of their tiki mugs for an added up charge, it’s such a fun experience! Even if you are going there with a group or just one friend. Love it! Thanks again!!!

The patio is gorgeous and the drinks were super fun and yummy. The food was okay but over-priced considering the lack of customization options or table service. Would have been nice to have a server to ask questions and provide recommendations. The current set up is to order and pay on the app, then someone brings your order to your table.

Love the atmosphere, wish the soda serving sizes were a little bigger. We got the chicken sliders, meatballs and pizza. Meatballs were just okay bit those sliders and pizza was so amazing! I ordered a cocktail that was heavier on the alcohol so definitely wasn't cheated here. Overall was a great experience and 10/10 would recommend the food here.

This place was great! It's full of unexpected surprises and weird twists and turns, plus the patio has a great view of the river. If you visit during the holiday season, it's a bit like being in a Santa-themed fun house. Sit back, sip a drink, and order some of the wacky food concoctions; I guarantee it'll be a good time if you embrace the quirkiness.

Very fun atmosphere! Large patio and indoor restaurant. Seat yourself and order using your phone from the table. I am a fan of this idea and it works well. They did have a computer glitch with the app that night, but there was pretty clear communication about what to do and we did eventually get our drinks and food . We were able to snag a cabana outside along the river, which allowed some privacy and easier to talk with the live music playing. Prices were decent and there is Wild State Cider on tap- as a cider drinker, that is always a plus!

I didn't know Tiki culture was a thing until very recently. I was wearing this shirt anyway. Imagine building weird bikes and goggles and wearing tophats and then finding out there's a term for your deal called "Steampunk" That's what it was like but for tropical stuff. Like I have a mural of an island landscape for a wall in my bedroom. This stuff is my jam. 🏖 So this is the coolest place ever of all time. The drinks are strong as heck, had I one complaint it would be that the upstairs dance party was hotter than a two dollar pistol. They just need a big fan blowing in from behind the beer stand. I guess they have to turn off a couple light to not blow the fuse. It would be worth it though. Man that beer girl was nice who told me all this 🤔 So the staff is 👌 as well 😁

Free parking. Fun atmosphere. Delicious adult beverages. Awesome patio on the river. Have to order drinks at the bar. Food can be ordered from the table on your phone. Single use utensils. The only table service was bringing out our food. Calamari was ok. Pizza was good.

I love this place, their drinks are amazing and the outdoor seating is the best in the city, and the inside area is so cute!! They have very limited vegan options though. I would come here way more often if they offered at least one vegan meal item. Maybe they could offer vegan cheese for the pizza? So for now I just go occasionally to get drinks, I especially love the coconaut!

Stopped by to have some pizza and some beer. The views like many others have said are really nice, we were there when it got dark and the tiki torches were nice. What I didn't like is that the moment you arrive you have to do everything for yourself. You arrive and have to grab your own menus, sit yourself, go up and order at the bar, grab your own silverware, and serve yourself water. I was surprised they at least brought the food out to us, I thought we might have to go pick it up ourselves. The pizza was alright, nothing special at all, tasted like some casual frozen pizza. The cheese curds were decent. They do still do tiki drinks in the tiki cups but you have to buy the cup, or you can get the drink cheaper in a plastic cup. Overall 3.5 stars

Brief visit. Very busy. Best to get a reservation this time of year. All decked out in Christmas decor with a holiday drink menu. Only had time for shots, but they were good and the vibe was unique. Looking forward to spending more time here in the future.

Good Tiki drinks and pizza. No reservations taken, so if you have a large party, good luck! There is no table service, you must order your drinks in line at the bar, and order food through an app on your phone. Self service area for disposable cutlery, napkins and water. There were bees everywhere flying around at the tables. People were swatting at them all over. I have been here many times, hopefully they will get back to table service soon!

Love this place even though the food sucks and their mixed drinks are straight from the bottom shelf! The atmosphere makes up for it all. Right now they are fully Christmas themed. Ask for the liquor you want to make things better.

The drinks are good and the view is beautiful. I only tried the tots, and they were nice and crispy. But there are some interesting quirks. When we arrived, the tables were all filthy. Garnishes and splatter were on all the tables, though dishes had been cleared. The online ordering means you don’t really get to talk to servers, so you’re kind of left on your own to go and try to get in with the bartender. Considering the literal only time I saw our server was when they delivered the food and the state of the tables, I’m kind of angry I still tipped 15%. Like, what am I even tipping for? And I’m definitely one of the 20% is minimum people. How Suzi’s is handling their business is, true to the name, psycho.

It was busy but I had a reservation so there was no wait. I went there by myself and they sat me at a small round table that had three chairs crowded around it. since I was by myself I had just enough room but there’s no way three people could enjoy dinner and drinks around such a small table. But this was during the Mary’s Christmas party so they might have had to make do so people could sit down. I had the prosciutto pizza and I don’t think they actually put slices of prosciutto on it, but there were these crispy flakes on top that looked like fish food. I think the food was better the last time I went. Since Covid the servers don’t take your order but you have to order via a QR code or walk up to the bar and the service is not quick even when ordering drinks. If you order on the QR code but want a glass of water, you have to walk and go get it yourself. However the fun specialty cocktails were good as always. I have been there in the summer and if you can find room the patio is amazing

Over the top decorations for Christmas. Too busy to offer much service. Order off the phone and they drop the food and are off, never saw them again. We thought it was pricy for 2 apps a beer and a soft drink, but someone has to pay for all those decorations (and then a place to store them in the off season). We wanted to check it out and we did. I would give a 3 1/2 out of 5 for food. Food is marginal bar food. 5 out of 5 for Atmosphere during the holidays. It was fun and very festive. The drinks have cute names, served strong and in creative ways. 0 out of 5 for reservation policy, Very disappointed that the money you pay for reservations is NOT credited toward your bill. I've never heard of a place where you are charged to make a reservation hmmm, doesn't seem right. even the waitress was apologetic about it.

Love this location, amazing views, food was very good. The menu selections were sparse - my husband barely found anything that was gluten and dairy free. Ordering was a pain - you have to order using a smartphone and pay with a card. Thats it. No server, no cash, no ability to ask anyone questions or for recommendations. You even have to leave your table to refill your own water at the bar. If you want to drink in a fun atmosphere, its perfect. If you are looking for a meal, you might be pretty disappointed.

Very pretty, they did a wonderful job decking it out! Just wish they were more personable. Got there and seen that we had to seat ourself, ok, but then sat down... was never greeted by any staff. Got to the table and realized we HAD to order on our phones.. I wish their was a choice because the menu sucked online. Water wasn't an option on the online menu and it was hard to edit the items for picky eaters. A staff never came to our table once to ask how we were doing.. only to bring our food. Had to go up to the bar to find water for the kids. Hope it's better around the holidays 😬 Food was decent. Hot chocolate was super cute and delicious.

It was such a great experience!! Beautiful scenery with nice band that was playing. The only reason for a missing star is that all food is online order only...I was hangry and accidentally left all my items in the cart 😳 Mistake on my part, but a good old fashioned waitress to order as an option would be my preference

Twin Cities classic foodie spot. It's a must on anyone's list of cool places to visit. We went for dinner and it was very busy, but managed really well. Food was out pretty quick and the online payment system was pretty slick. Some may not agree, but it seemed like a great place to bring pretty much anyone.

Food was good, decorations were awesome. Just don't understand why we would be leaving a tip? We ordered and paid through an app on our phone, we had to find our table on our own. The only time we saw a waiter was when they brought the food to us. No interaction really with the waiter when they brought the food. No one ever came to see if everything was ok. We ordered appetizers which would normally come before the rest of the food, but everything came at once. It is too bad they are closing, not sure I would have gone back even if they weren't. It's a one time experience if you want try something different. We were put off by the lack of service and coldness of the 1 waiter. The menu items in this review don't include the holiday menu, so can't suggest anything.

Practically perfect in every way. Loved: the live music, the incredible view, the vending machine with t-shirts, the drinks, the friendly staff. Wished they had: branded mugs. Really lovely atmosphere overall, we went on a hectic Saturday night but had the best time.

The atmosphere here is great and a lot of fun. It's definitely worth coming during the Christmas experience - the deliberately tacky over the top decorations are perfect. Staff all seemed friendly and like they enjoy working there. There's a QR code ordering system, airport style, that worked great. Unfortunately the food is embarrassing. It's fine if it were 'part of the charm' dive bar food, but the menu describes and prices it like you're about to have a foodie experience. Wagyu beef cheeseburger for $17?? Try a small, dry, overcooked patty. For $17. If you're only coming for drinks and atmosphere, 5 stars, but skip the food.

This place is a riot in all the best ways possible--especially during Christmas time. From the crazy decor to the goofy named drinks and food served as wrapped presents, this place is truly an unforgettable experience! Though, I HIGHLY recommend booking a reservation well beforehand because it's really tough to get in otherwise.

Way crazy Christmas decorations up before Halloween, many so low, my 6 foot self was bobbing and weaving everywhere I went. If you want refills you have to to the bar yourself to get them, even if in the dining area. Food was edible, but wouldn't go back for it, their new wait/service progam is terrible, if I go to a sit down Restaurant and pay their prices, I shouldn't have to get up for my own refills etc.

A great spot with a nice island/tiki theme. The outdoor patio is wonderful and has views of the river. The island-themed cocktails are top notch. The unique, idol-themed cups can even be taken home for an extra fee.

We were intrigued by MARY'S CHRISTMAS PALACE. We wanted the granddaughters to experience the tackiest Christmas decorations in all of history! The tray of Decorate-them-yourself cookies were a bland bust but still fun for the girls. The photo booth didn't work but we still enjoyed the overall experience.

I had never been to this place before but saw a post on a Facebook group about their Christmas theming. 5000% recommend if you're proficient with ordering from your phone/have a few proficient in your group. If that is challenging, maybe pick a different spot. Arrived on Saturday before they opened the week before Thanksgiving and it was still a line outside: so GET THE RESERVATION. Does not count toward your bill but worth it to guarantee you don't wait too long in line for your group to get cold and cranky and still no spot. I like the 90 min time limit during this Christmas special but concede that might be challenging for a larger group. Christmas carols drown out other tables' conversation but not so loud I couldn't hear my table. The whole vibe was perfect: no notes. Love it and likely to make it a tradition!

This is a one of a kind establishment that is a whole vibe in itself. This place has grown from taking over a tiny old shut down drive up A&W, to one of the coolest bars I've ever been to. They do things a bit differently there and have gotten a bad rap over the years from some customer service stand points (not splitting tabs, not having waiters, bluntness of employees etc) but they still take care of their customers at the end of the day. You may have to order from your phone, or seat yourself but thats not a big deal when you get some of the best (and strongest 😉) drinks and food in Northeast!! *this is not a paid or incentivized in any way, shape, or form. This place has so much potential. Love the tiki decor but didn't care for the tiki/italian fusion. I'd rather see a Hawaiian style menu over pizza & subs. We got the cheese curd, meatball sub and pepperoni pizza and it was on par with most local bars, nothing special. Their nitch are the fun tiki inspired drinks. Great location along the Mississippi River.

Went on the Christmas explosion event!! It was like the holidays exploded everywhere, including the ceiling! Great fun creative menu! Cookie decorating! Risky and delicious drinks! Spendy night but a group of friends good light meal options and excellent drinks made for a great time. All orders were done through a qrcode and app. Servers were then freed up to simply deliver (fast food and drinks all night!!). Well sorta. They had a limit at tables 90 min only!!! But had other spaces to hang out and continue to party!

First, get reservations online before thinking of coming here. You are time limited to 90 minutes at your table, then it goes to tge next reservation. Second, have a qr reader with you as all drinks and food is ordered through it. The wait staff brings the food. If you what a cocktail not on the menu, go to the bar. The online options were extensive, not a problem for our group of 7. Third, this place is tge most heavily decorated restaurant I have ever seen, and I have been in all 50 states. It was amazingly fun, all of us enjoyed it; you woukd have to beva grinch to not enjoy the atmosphere created. Highly, highly recommended.

This place was Poppin very busy had to wait over 30mins for a table for 2. Then when we were seated it took us like 15mins to realize we had to order on an app and we had only 90mins at the table the moment we sat down so he scanned the QR code thingy and ordered and then we had to get our own drinks by the bar. This was so crazy to me. Then when we were done looked at the receipt and there was a tip! For what idk saying hi when we sat down and NOT making sure we knew what to do !?!?! Still find that crazy! Drinks were great. Service was not - I waited over 2 hrs for a small pizza that was never submitted into the system even though I specifically ordered it through the bartender. Pizza also turned out to be wrong (missing green peppers), but at that point I had eaten so much of my friends' food that I just couldn't be bothered to send it back after they burned my first pizza (the wait staff at least was honest and told me that they accidentally burned my pizza). Menu stated that if we waited longer than 30 minutes for our food, we should check in with the bar staff - then we were told that rule did not exist, even though it was clearly stated on the menu we had. Would come back, but just for the drinks. The online ordering system definitely needs to be improved and the place seemed way understaffed.

Good food and live music outside. The drinks and theme are a little much for me. Great view from the patio of the river. All of the screens in the upstairs play island/beach movies from the 50s in attempt to add to the atmosphere so you're out of luck if you prefer anything else. There is a small dance floor but I haven't seen it used. Definitely try for when there is live music for a very nice experience. All in all it was a happening place and I had a great time as the start of a night.

My husband and I love all things tiki so naturally we had to stop here. Its like walking in a time capsule that's very well taken care of. They have comfy seating, plenty of space, an outdoor patio along the Mississippi river, and happy hour specials that were incredibly reasonable. Unique selection or drinks and mugs. They're specialty drinks are all rum based so make sure you like that (who doesn't?). We purchased several mugs and got the cubano sandwich which was freaking delish. 87 stars for that sandwich. Service had personality and bartenders worked well together. Definitely check it out!

Update: love the christams season here. Everything is so decked out, just wonderful! Was only disappointed that they were out of many things. Make sure to go earlier in the evening if you can or maybe not on a weekend so they're fully stocked Wings were amazing, but drinks are too pricey. Also dont love that you cant get a refill on a soda. Maybe if I had gone to the bar I could have but not sure being as there are no servers, you just order on the app.

Psycho Suzis is a good example of a Tiki bar here in the Midwest. With great decor and an awesome patio on the Mississippi River it make for a great spot to visit for summer time vibes. While their cocktails are mostly batched and a tad on the sweet side they are still quite strong. They also offer good deals on beers both domestic and local craft. Their food especially the pizzas are super tasty I personally love the Thailand Island pizza! On weekends this place is usually packed, if you're looking for a bit more intimacy visit them during the week.

The theme of Psycho Suzi’s is really great for a tiki place. The decor and layout are fantastic if you’re into the schtick. The lighting and wood work are knock out. Staff is pretty gruff and service is not polite at all. It’s to be determined if that’s part of the bit or if they’re just rude. Adequate pricing on food and beverage.

One of the best places to hang out in NE Minneapolis. They have a variety of margaritas and all tastes so good and unique. The pizzas are also very delicious. Nice view right by the Mississippi river and entertaining outdoor seating. Highly recommended if you've never been here. They have happy hour drinks as well. Great place to hang out with friends and significant others, especially in summer and fall.

Light dinners, pizza, burger and salads perfect low key date night eats, in a inauthentic Islander experience on the river. Their specialty is watered down really big festive drinks in ceramic containers that your waitress will spill half of before she gets to your table. And they add a $75.00 ( in case you break it or take it) surcharge to your credit card, which is deducted from your final bill if you return it in one piece. The Lei Lani flame bowl that we had supposedly for 2-4 people is a great tourist attraction if you go at night, but you can't see the flame during the day. In the end we blew out the flame in hopes of getting a slight buzz from the cinnamon liqueur that fueled the flame, because the rest of the drink wasn't cutting it. The chicken Alfredo with Spinach thin crust pizza was magsters, (magnificent) and the island theme is just this side of disney-esque. Fun, festive, and if you can't afford a Hawaiian vacation or don't like flying anymore, will do the trick.

This is a fun for spot to stop and have a drink and some snacks or even a meal. It's has real unusual layout. The way it's decorated kind of puts you in mind of Key West or Tahiti. Lots of greenery, bamboo and statues like you'd find on Easter Island. From its spacious deck, overlooking the Mississippi you get a really great river view. Not wanting the typical wedding, we chose to host our reception on the 2nd floor of Psycho Suzi's and could not have been happier! Our guests kept coming up to us to let us know how much fun they were having and how it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Having a minimum to hit instead of a room fee allowed us the freedom to keep our guests filled with great food and drink. Plus, with the great tiki decor already in place it saved us the hassle of having to decorate. The staff was AMAZING - seriously. Best party ever!!!

My only complaint was that the waitress thought our IDs were fake because they were the new enhanced MN ones and she hadn’t seen them before, so it got a bit awkward to explain. We went on a rainy weeknight thinking service would be good but it was very slow and our appetizers arrived at the same time as the main course. Suzi's will always be a great place to go with a hangover or fun night out with friends. The ambiance has gotten sticky over the years - literally - the tables, floor, and doors are sticky to the touch. I do love the outdoor patio views, but not a fan of the smokers. The tots will always be my favorite in all of Northeast.

The place is pretty busy and happening but you have to wait in line to order your food and drinks at the counter. The server will then bring your food to a table you sit at. We were served food but not given any plates. Then you have to return your cocktail cups at the counter(stand in line again) to close your tab. What surprised me the most was the very good food. Polynesian Wings were amazing. The tikki drinks were okay. Unfortunately they only had a very limited selection that last night. The bar / service was super slow. We had to wait up to 30 min to get drinks and 45 for food. One of our drinks had a bug in it and it took another 30 min to get it replaced. The room was very smelly like when you walk into an run down bar. Overall it is a nice location and in summer sitting outside must be amazing. I was disappointed by the lack of quality and I hope that the management / owners will invest to get this place to a higher standard.

Ok my honest review of phsyco suzies....their food and drinks hands down amazing they never disappoint. Always strong cocktails and pizza made to perfection. That being said service tends to be up and down. Unless they’ve always been going for that snarky rude vibe...who knows. Since quarantine they have been closed but recently opened back up with a new concept! Cost is about 45 per person and you get 4 drinks and unlimited food without waisting it. Sounds amazing right? Here’s the kicker you only get an hour and a half, at first that sounds like plenty of time but after barely finishing my first drink in the first hour and two bites of cheese curds, the whole experience felt extremely rushed. They actually do kick you out the minute your time is up even though we hoped they couldn’t see us under the umbrella we were hidden under. We may have also lost some time when the umbrella blew over and actually bent in half as we were holding the table down who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ almost died but it’s fine🤣. All and all the concept is definitely there I would say 2 and half hours would be ideal to actually enjoy your experience and feel like your getting your money’s worth.

Visited before during the later hours of a weekend night but we decided to go for lunch this time. Little different this go around, now when seating (indoor) we grabbed our own food and drink menu and found a spot to sit. Once you sit down there is a QR code with your table number and order through your phone. We liked this concept as it gives you more time to comb through the menu and order at ease when your ready. Once we did the food showed up quite fast. We ordered drinks at the bar just for faster service and to ask for a high chair. Staff was very friendly and went to get one right away. The experience went well for a Saturday lunch, a weekend night is even better. Closing your tab from your phone is nice as well.

Psycho Suzi's has the best atmosphere ever. My husband and I sat on the back deck overlooking the river, while the Black Widows (great girl band) played. Their cocktails are like crazy creative. I just wish their menu included some plant-based options, or even just like a veggie burger (to mitigate animal suffering & global warming from methane). Just having the option would be really nice. Other than that, this is the hippest, most fun place in Minneapolis.

Psycho Suzi was a great experience! This was my 2nd visit but 1st in a long while. It was a self seating and fast paced environment. My friends and I enjoyed the loud and social environment that this location offered. What's nice is that there's plenty of spaces and a outdoor patio. The drinks were good, especially their zombie mixed drink? It was a perfect slush combination! Plus, they offer a variety of unique drink and food. Price is fair with good central location. Only negative is their parking availability and server response because it's so busy. In all, cool experience.

Cool tiki style bar/restaurant with fun tiki style drinks and a cool Americana 50's surfer soundtrack playing in the background. The drinks are fun and come in their own specific tiki mugs. Some are even drinks designed for sharing. They also have some good beers with a tiki theme like Kona beers or the Maui brewing Co. Beers. I only had the cheese curds there at the bar so I didn't have too much food but the curds we're pretty good and a nice portion. Check it out for a fun swanky surfing tiki style good time.

I will say 95% of the time this place is easily 5 stars. The exception would be nice days in the summer when the patio is totally packed then service can get very spotty. The drinks here are beyond fun, and the Bloody Mary bar can be a good time on the weekend mornings. The food is excellent, but my favorite part is the kitschy tiki themed decor. Straw umbrellas, tiki men galore and torches on the patio make this place a must visit.

Asked for a side of ranch and was told we had to order and pay for it via the app. I get that COVID has impacted restaurants but this is to the extreme. And the added a high tip on the bill. And for what? Carrying out a few dishes and dropping them off? Versus the customer doing the rest? Nope, not this customer. Dropped that amount as they did nothing to earn it.

BEE WARNING! Myself and two others where attacked by a nest of ground bee's along the path they have that leads down to the river. I sufferer 14 sings and bites! Myself and another lady already down at the river had to CLIMB up the hill threw the trees and undergrowth. Both of us in flip flops.. I reported the bee's to 3 different staff members, and mentioned it to 2 others. None of them cared. No one did anything to warn people (like a sign) or to rope off the path or anything! On top of that, a bartender/barback I'm lead to believe is named Dave (male, 40's, had a hat on but looked like he may have had a sandy blond mohawk) was a complete d*ck about it when I told them. Not one of the 5 I told about it even asked if I was okay! I'm okay, but what IF I was allergic? I find their lack of concern for their patrons saftey on company property very concering! OVERALL REVIEW: I think they where called brown sugar babies, where awesom! Pickle rollups where no better then you can make at home for MUCH cheaper. Polynesian Wings, good if you like a little "zing" (little spicey) in your sauce - not my thing. Poutine tots where good as well. I wasn't inmpressed by the pizza at all though. Rather I was a bit disappointed. Now the DRINKS ARE STRONG! A bit pricey for my wallet (average $11). I loved the BEACH COMBER though. A real sweet drink, which was perfect for me.

Haven't been here for a couple years. So few things have changed. Seat yourself (can be good or bad varies how many people with you) you do not get a host and no menu to hold an look at. I remember the menu being much broader of options other than a few apps, 2 burgers, and a bunch of pizzas. All in all if your looking for drinks along side the river with self service this is the place for you! Don't come in if you require a host

Out of towners, first time here. We love tiki bars, so we tried to ignore the rowdy college crowd( we are in our 50s) and the light scent of vomit that trailed us all the way to our table. We were given food menus and not drink menus when we were seated. Being from out of town I had reviewed the website before arriving and thought you only offered food at happy hour consisting of sliders and pizza. ( we ate elsewhere) Fearing we had made a mistake in choosing your establishment, we ordered drinks from our very friendly waiter Jeff. He was the only staff member who was warm and cheerful. So Jeff and some very well concocted, top notch, cocktails made our night. Thank you for the wonderful drinks, but please work on the odor and give the rest of the staff a pep talk 😁

Overlooking the river was cool, would have liked them to trim the bushes to see it though, all in all we had fun just never got our watier to come back after the drinks to get the appetizer ordered, then never saw him again to get the dinner order so we left when he brought us our ticket. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the decorations are very nice. Drinks are not up to par of the current tiki bar standards in my opinion. Most are if not all are premixed being pulled from tappers. Many are sweet and not balanced and who knows what quality of liquor is being used. Staff at least the two we met seemed not to know very much about tiki or drinks. It was worth the stop but we probably will not return.

While the place is beautiful and very unique, we were let down with how slow the food service was.. the drinks were pretty good but was disappointed when we found out that we had to buy the fancy tiki mugs/glasses which were prices at $22 and above which we could keep if not we were served in regular glasses at a tiki bar.. Took away the whole fun factor experience of a tiki bar and it's drinks ... The vibe inside is amazing and if you want to be seated on the patio its a wait but it won't take that long.. I Personally preferred the indoor seating ! We got our table pretty soon .... We were about to order our third round of drinks when the appetizers which we ordered with our first round of drinks finally arrived...

The decor is awesome, and three of our pizzas were good. The service though is absent. Once we got our food, they never checked back. So we couldn't tell them one pizza wasn't good, or get refills for our sodas. You order by scanning a qr code and paying online, but there was no way to call your waitress, just options to order and pay.

More expensive than most tourists would be accustomed to, Psycho Suzi delivered one of the best cocktails I've had in a good while. The wings are a must try, the pizza was necessary to finish and the burger and tater tots were a new but welcome change to the usual burger/fries combo. The tots were crunchy and delicious, with significantly less grease than anyone had any right to expect. Drinks are strong and, the food is good. Go at night for the full experience.

Update 2022: Unfortunately nowhere near the old experience anymore. You order through a QR code for food and drinks. The food menu is super limited, basically only a few burgers and pizza, which are subpar but expensive. The drinks are pricey but still very delicious. Staff is still friendly in the few times you interact with them! I'd recommend coming here for drinks in the summer on the patio and heading elsewhere for dinner. Always a great time here! The food is excellent, the drinks are delicious and look incredible, and the patio can't be beat!! I always take out of towner's here to show them how fun Northeast Minneapolis is!

Psycho Suzi's in one word is 'Fun'! If you like a retro Hawaiian aesthetic you will love this place. It was a hot sunny day when we went but the patio overlooking the river was beautiful and kept us cool with a soft breeze. The bathrooms had a interesting gimmick where you can use chalk to write on the walls. The drinks we had were a little spendy but they were not lacking in individuality, flavor, or color. The food was surprisingly good, you could tell that they care about it and put in effort. I'd say Psycho Suzi's is a great place for you and a group to go to celebrate something personal, nothing says 'congratulations' or 'happy birthday' quite like a big smoking mixed drink.

The drinks were just ok, the food was bar food nothing fancy or delicious. You're really there for drinks and the ambiance - overlooking the river, nice sunsets. People were generally dressed up a bit, though there were all sorts of folks there. The service: they forgot one of our pizzas, we had to remind them that we had another pizza, and then they apologized and brought us the pizza though 30 minutes later than expected. There is an 18% surcharge which is "not a gratuity" so what is it?

Definitely a crowd pleaser. Drinks, food, decor is amazing. Unfortunately it is kind of expensive for what it is these days. Drinks used to come in tiki cups and now in small plastic cups. Used to have table service but now menu prices seem to have gone up and there’s no server. Staff seem overworked and take a long time to get to your table, clean up, etc during busy times. Still a great, fun place to go but a little pricey given the decrease in services.

We were a bit disappointed not to have the tiki drinks, but the atmosphere was so fun it made up for it. Easy ordering at your table using an app, which we appreciate -- just don't forget to close your tab before you leave!

The manager last night was one of the most rude and unprofessional service people I have ever met. Something was wrong on the app and the wrong pizza was ordered. Immediately let the bar know and asked to fix it, ten minutes later the manager comes out and literally yells at our table that the pizza was in the oven and she wasn't going to correct it. Between 4 people we probably spent $150 there, it's unacceptable behavior at a McDonald's let alone a place where you're spending that much for a few drinks, apps, and a pizza that you didn't want. The rest of the staff was wonderful and nice, the food was good but there needs to be some serious thought put into how customers are treated by the management.

Drinks are cool but you wait forever to get a drink since there isn't any servers and you have to go to the bar and wait in line for 1 bartender to do it all. Regular mixed drinks are pretty pricey, and they are still doing that automatic 18% fee but don't tell you unless you ask. Probably not going to go back most of the people in my group didn't think it was worth it. If your going to charge premium price then you need to have servers.

We were back to Suzi's on Mother's Day 2022 and were pleasantly surprised by some of the changes. They have new umbrellas on the patio, and some new furniture both inside and out. The Mother's Day brunch platter, which serve two, was delicious. They also had their full menu available along with their drinks, which are always delicious! Suzi's is now using a mobile device based ordering system for both your drinks and your food. You can open a tab on your phone, order at will, and close out your tab when you're done. Or you can always go to the bar and order. But the app ordering is pretty much flawless, and the staff are super efficient getting your stuff out to you. Had a great time, and will definitely be back multiple times over the summer We've been back to Suzi's twice since they opened the patio and their new "one price" patio dining experience, and it's a winner! We've never felt unsafe and the staff are rocking it, taking care of their customers and turning out great food a drinks. We'll be back again before patio season ends, for sure!

If all of those things sound great to you, this is the place. The only drawback is the amount of 21 year old axe wearing boys ordering their colors lights. Drinks are great! 5 stars! The line got long but that's totally understandable on a nice weekend day, and at least you're aware of how long it will take. The service surrounding food was awful. We waited 90 or more minutes before interrupting someone running food to ask what was going on. They said there was an issue with the kitchen printer and they were struggling, got our order then went to make sure it was going. We then had to flag down people at least 4 separate times and didn't get our complete order until 3 hours and 30 minutes. I had to ask for our food to be comped, it wasn't offered to us by the manager who came by once specifically requested. I used to be a server so I consider myself very understanding, but communication and service recovery was terrible.

Really cool atmosphere.....just Im not sure about the whole online ordering process. Maybe Im old but it comes off as really impersonal. You scan a QR code at the table, order directly from the website there, pay directly through there, and literally have no interaction with the staff until they bring you something you ordered. So if you want something that isn’t on that website, like extra napkins, WATER, extra fork, etc, you have to do go find someone and do it yourself. It’s just so odd having to go find someone to get water or a refill of water.

The pandemic kind of killed this place. The phone ordering is difficult to use. The drink lines are long. i love the tiki drinks (even though they aren't served in cute glasses anymore) but the food menu is really lacking now and we kept getting kicked out of our tables for private events. Also the outside umbrellas NEED to be cleaned.. there are disgusting spiders everywhere :(

5 star experience! The patio is beautiful with a view of this river, our server was really nice and on top of everything. The drink I had was beautiful and tasted wonderful as well. Which I'm super picky about drinks and have never really loved anything I've tried rather than tolerated. 100% will be back, and with my dogs too because the patio is pet friendly 😊

We went here for Sunday brunch and it was fun. We ended up sitting outside and the weather was super nice with a nice view of the Mississippi River. They had a full Bloody Mary bar which was pretty good with cheese sausage pickles and pickled cucumbers. However I am not sure that it was worth $11. The food was pretty good I got the biscuits and gravy, however it seemed like the sausage was a round disc and the biscuit was somewhat dry. Nice atmosphere however I wish the food was a little better for what you pay.

You mostly go here for the patio river views, but their drinks are good too! They don't serve in a tiki glass anymore unfortunately, so that takes some fun out of the experience and I'm not sure you'd be satisfied if you went there for a "tiki" experience. The menu is very odd and out of place for what type of place you think you're in, but the pizza was good, no complaints there! You have to order through an app which we didn't enjoy but the food came fast. The food runners were friendly and helpful but you have to pick up your own drinks/condiments/ napkins from the bar.

One of the best patios in the Twin Cities! Plus great (strong) tiki drinks and tasty food. A fun, kitschy experience. Right now all sales are from the bar (no servers coming to tables) and there are more limited menu options, but it's still a great choice.

We had a great time; J, our waitress, was absolutely amazing. We ordered nearly every cocktail on the menu and several entrees over the course of many hours. She was an angel with the water after we ordered the entire menu and even when it stated raining she was on top of all her tables! We have always had amazing experiences at Suzie's with our big dog and great food and drinks!!

Super funky little place with a beautiful patio overlooking the river. The drink menu is fun to read and the food is a unique take on bar food (pizzas, burgers, and sandwiches with some funky appetizers). Pizza crust is pretty good and they have many different sauces that make their flavors great. The atmosphere is why you'd go to this location though, it is very unique and has a weird "luau" feeling to it. Get ready to drink lots of rum beverages if you're visiting.

Pretty cool atmosphere. But was pretty much all self serve. (I'm guessing because of covid reopening ???) Pizza and drinks we fantastic. The biggest problem was the waiting. Had to get in line for drinks, 20 minutes. Then find a table to order food, which was an online order using qr code to identify what table. 50 minutes to get a small pizza andcheese curds.

They have a very good food and drink deal going on that if you have several drinks and a snack, is definitely worth it. Food: Mostly pizzas, some cheese curds, dry rub wings, and fries. Drinks: I hope you like rum for their cocktails. If not, they have basic stuff available. Atmosphere is lovely in the evening. A super cute place. Friendly and efficient staff!

The patio here is great! I've never been a huge fan of their pizza, but I love all the other food. Think 1950's cocktail party apps. The drinks are fun and you can but the cool tiki mugs to take home. The whole place is really big so wait times are, usually, shorter.

Food tastes good! Drinks are great! We had a few issues with our food, but they gladly accommodated us. We didn't expect to have anything taken off our bill but they did, and the manager even came to our table to apologize and give us a $25 gift card. Needless to say the service was excellent! I believe the server's name was Sue and the manager was Steve. The decor is wonderful, a Hawaiian themed restaurant/bar next to the river. They also had live music. This place exceeded my expectations and I will be returning soon!!

Great to be back at Pyscho Suzi's! Felt safe and comfortable on the patio - had private event and gave us plenty of space to spread out. Easy to order food and drinks via bar. Staff was great in answering questions and getting drinks out quickly and food in good time. Tasty apps, amazing pizzas, and sassy cocktails. So good to be back in the patio @ Pyscho Suzi's!

We booked a couple weeks ahead and when we turned up at 7:20 for a 7:30pm reservation, we were told that someone else had our table at 8:30 and we needed to be in and out by then. We tried to reason that it still would take time for the food to arrive, and the person at the front desk dismissed that by saying the food would not be late. We thought it was kind of odd and rude that we were being asked to leave in an hour despite having booked a reservation ahead of time. We double checked with the waiter at the time or order who seemed pretty shocked, and the manager came by to apologize and offer us free appetizers - so I guess that worked out, sort of! The food was good, nothing extraordinary. The drinks and the ambience were so much fun! I'd definitely go there again. I'd recommend the outside seating if you're there during the summer, the ambience is even better!

This place is really psycho. We love it. It has Christmas concept. Everything is about Christmas. Their bufet likes ginger cookies. Drink's shapes are Christmas ornaments. This place is very big, you can take a lot of pictures different parts of the place. Their appetizers likes Cristmas presents. You can sit against the lake and have your drink.

They always do it up right here. It is like a mini amusement park...at least the decoration. Plenty of space inside including party rooms. Comfortable seating . The outside tiki patio is beautiful and right on the banks of the mighty Mississip. Enjoyed a Holiday Mai Tai, some wings and some tots. Food was good , but not 100%. Few places get a 5 from me, hence the 4 stars. We stopped here during a self planned brewery bike ride. If you have never been here, get with it!

Went for Sunday brunch and sat outside looking out over the river. The brunch food was good but not great. Others in the group chose better menu items. I've been there before for pizza, which I love but my wife doesn't like. So, I'd say that they're a place with great location and food that you may need to try a few items to find what's right for you. The servers can probably help steer you into something you'll like.

It's a cool place to hang out. A restaurant suitable for families, couples and friends. The patio sits on the river. The inside of the restaurant is too hot and sometimes too crowded. The most busiest time seems to be around dinner time/happy hour. Parking: Good luck! 😣 If you don't arrive early enough, you will not find a spot open in their lot. You should be prepared to find a spot on the street along Marshall Ave. Drinks: Drinks are pretty generous and good! Their cocktails are served in Tiki cups...super cool and creative. Food: The best thing on the menu in my opinion are their pizza and wings.

Such an awesome experience! My husband and I went to Psycho Suzi's for their annual Halloween party. It was our first time there. We had a blast! Everyone was super friendly and the vibe was incredible. Our expectations were completely blown away. Obviously didn't order anything from their food menu so I can't comment there. They seemed to have a wide variety though. The drinks were around $8-15 (depending on your booze preference) but the bartenders made them very well, so it was worth it. The crowd was awesome! I'd recommend their annual Halloween party to anyone! 5/5

This place is well known and with good reason. It has a very fun vibe, great atmosphere, good drinks and food and a reasonable price tag. It's not cheap, but the views, kitschy setting and excellent food and drinks make this place a great value. This is especially true when you consider how easy it is to get here and find free parking. It has a great view and one of the best patios in the Cities.

I went for a friend’s birthday and it was my first time there. I had always been told that their service is less than ideal, but we didn’t have a problem getting drinks or food or identifying our server when we needed her! She was always walking by and checking on us. Super cool atmosphere with cool souvenir cups that are at a reduced price if you order the drink that comes in them. Fun patio in the summer time and they were super understanding and helpful when one of my beers came out bad (not their fault, maybe just a faulty keg or something)

Went here last night for a reunion of a few Marine buddies I served with. We were originally going to stay for just one drink, but we ended up staying for quite a few, due to the atmosphere and company. Sarah and Monica were our bartenders and they were fantastic. Very attentive, always quick with a joke, and just all-around wonderful people and bartenders. Mike was the manager for the night and he was extremely nice too. Overall a great experience!

The burgers were tasty. The outdoor seating on the river was wonderful, along with the breeze it provided. Most tables had grass type umbrellas for shade. Good festive music was playing during the noon hour. The drinks were served in tiki type glasses and had a score of mild, medium or strong. I appreciated that, helped in my selection.

Absolutely love this place! At first, it seemed a little sketchy from the outside, but once you go through and out to the patio, it's like Hawaii Paradise. The food was delicious and their drinks were quite strong, however, they show the level of how strong it is on a scale of 1-3. The service was exceptional. Our server didn't have a lot of patience and didn't stand at the table for more than 30 seconds. It's a busy place, I understand but she seemed annoyed every time we were asking her questions about the menu. Other than that, the view and food is great!

This place is pretty great, though it gets busy, and management has let me/various friends down a few times. The food is tasty, and the drinks are excellent, but you pay a premium for both. All of their meals and especially their pizzas are great, and the drinks are mostly strong and super tasty, but the drinks cost around $17 per. They are substantial and again, strong. But be prepared to drop $50 on dinner and drinks per person if you're looking for a night out, even over happy hour. I do love the staff here, but be aware if you're trying to make reservations for a group: we had solid reservations in place after speaking to one of the top managers, we got there, and despite multiple confirmations, they had our time wrong, and gave away our tables. We had to wait an hour and change for spots, and even so we didn't have enough for the entire evening and ended up switching. We made do, but I guarantee the error was not on our end. In general I love this place, but be aware, they are very busy and not cheap.

Went on a Sunday for my birthday you have to make reservations now but it's an all-inclusive price and well worth the cost you get to order whatever you want from the menu for the first hour of your reservation and up to four drinks per person on the reservation. service was extremely fast we had been seated, ordered and had a drink in our hands all within the first seven minutes of the reservation and with the beautiful River views it would be hard not to go back!

The food was amazing and loved the atmosphere. Would give 5 stars if it hadn't been for the poor service we had. Our waitress started out good but after we put in our order she never came back to our table until she came to drop off the check. And we had never gotten our appetizer and when she dropped the check off and we told her she asked us if we wanted them now....after we're done eating our meals....Thank goodness they were willing to take off the appetizer from the check otherwise I wouldn't have been coming back. Hopefully next time will have a waiter or waitress that is as great as the food.

Such a fun place! I hosted my August birthday party here with a group that included 3 young kids. We are on the patio and it was very child friendly. Love the atmosphere, the service, tropical drinks, and the food is great if you want something fun.
