Pizzeria Lucca was recommended to me because my friends know that I love pizza. And I can be picky. I had a st. Louis Pizza and cheesy garlic bread. The pizza was crispy and had generous amounts of toppings. The sauce was sweet and slightly Tangy with a good tomato taste. It tasted great even as leftovers when reheated. The garlic bread was very buttery and crispy and the cheese was thick and tasty! I will probably go back today which is only two days after my first visit!

First of all this pizza smells amazing. I suggest putting it in your trunk and not having it in your car while you're driving. I just wanted to rip the box open and grab a slice right away. The owners are very friendly. I would buy this pizza all day long over a big box Domino's or Pizza Hut. If you live in the area this is the spot to go.

This pizza is phenomenal :) We tried it for the first time today, and it was amazing. My fiancé got the Primo and I got the Spicy Hawaiian (subbed out the Canadian bacon for pepperoni and added hot honey) and when I tell you this is our new go-to, I mean it!

I've eaten ALOT of pizza all over the country, from all the popular franchise's to many of the Upper midwest independent offerings. The half sausage & black olive, half pepperoni pie we had tonight was one of the best I've ever had. Tremendously rich flavors.

Went to check out Lucca after hearing about the "Big Slice." It did not disappoint, it's HUGE! Crust, sauce, and cheese are all fabulous! The owners are super nice, highly recommend! Even came home with a whole pie.

Great pizza that’s always quick, hot, and high quality. They found a perfect crust balance of crunch and thickness and always load up each pizza with toppings. The Hot Honey Pepperoni is the best pizza on the menu, closely followed by the BBQ Chicken. Don’t sleep on the cheese bread, though, it’s the ultimate late night/pregnancy craving!

Got a big slice to go. Happy to have found another slice shop to pop into for lunch now that hello pizza is dinner only. Every component tasted great, little heavy on the cheese but it all came together to a satisfying conclusion. We will be back. Been back again and mixed up the toppings a bit. Still great slices, really digging the sauce.

This is great pizza! The crust is crispy, yet chewy, they don't skimp on the cheese or toppings, and the sauce has a tangy sweetness! It all comes together brilliantly. You can easily tell that the toppings are fresh and it looks like they even slice their own vegetables. Pop in and grab a Big Slice for a quick lunch or grab a whole pie or two for dinner! Come out and support these guys. Their pizza is excellent, and we are lucky to have a place like this in our neighborhood!

Unbelievable. I've been searching for real pizza in Minneapolis for many years, and I just found it. Had the Primo and it was !! Real gravy, real quality meats, great dough, fresh basil. What's not to like? Get some unless you like dogfood with sugar in it from a chain store. Outstanding pizza and real, good, people.

Stopped in for a slice after recommendation from a friend. I wasn't sure about the crust at first but let me tell you, this pizza is legit! The flavors in the cheese were fantastic and the sauce had a perfect sweet hint to it. Toppings tasted freshly sliced. I will definitely stop by next time I'm in the area.

Ive been here about 5 times or so and every time its been fantastic. Coming from someone thats worked at 5 pizza places growing up, I'm no expert or anything, but this place checks all the boxes. Pizza looks like a work of art out of the box, garlic bread is just about the best you can get, the ingredients are high quality, the owners are dope.. idk what else to say.. Love Love everything about this place! We live in Iowa and every time we come to Minnesota we have to stop by to see Ross and take a couple pizzas home with us! Their Pizza is probably the Best you will ever have! Wish this place was closer so we could have it all the time. Place smelled great, I had never been there before but decided to try it cause of the fantastic smell. I got a slice of pizza with mushrooms and black olives, and had a very reasonable wait for my slice. I walked home, and the crust stayed crispy, not at all soaked by the copious amount of sauce, and the cheese was thick and stretchy, not to mention wonderfully browned on top and tasty. My one complaint was that the mushrooms were felt like they were canned and not fresh, I feel canned mushrooms have a rubbery texture and not as good of a mushroom flavor. I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for a choice different from your usual dominoes, pizza hut, papa johns or other chain.

Decided to try Lucca's about a month or so ago. Loved it! Great taste, great toppings and I absolutely love the crust. It is a cross between thin and thick and is the perfect amount of 'crispiness'. My wife, who is picky about pizza sauce, loves Lucca's and Ross, the owner, could not be a nicer guy who really wants to sell a great pizza pie. We have been in at least every other week recently and will continue to get our pizza here!

We are so impressed with this place. Great prices, phenomenal pizza and wings! That's all we've tried so far. I'm sure everything else on their menu is amazing. Very cool couple that owns/runs it. This is now our family's only go-to for pizza. if you haven't been there yet, put it on your "must experience," bucket list!

You don't have to try it all at once (or do), but in addition to the pizza absolutely try the garlic cheese bread, wings (Sriracha Bourbon awesome) and don't forget the dessert pizza (Reece's awesome). We waited too long to try this place, but it's 100% now in our rotation. Go for it!

We have now eaten here 3 times. I’m a weirdo who loves pineapple on my pizza so my staple is the Aloha and my husband gets the Taco. Don’t forget to save some calories for the garlic bread because YUM. Prices may look high initially, but you get what you pay for! Toppings are plentiful and high quality plus the sizes are generous. So happy you are in the neighborhood!

It is a bit bit pricey for what you get, but the pizza was good. There was a bit of a big problem with our delivery but the owner who happened to be working this particular night handled it overall respectfully and we got our pizza's eventually. It was said that roads were a bit icy and we gave them extra time, for sure. So, we appreciate them and their willingness to take our concerns to be valid when our pizza's did arrive. The cookies are really good !

Extremely ironic they replaced a Little Caesars, they are the opposite Place is a hidden gem. Tried for the first time today. They were a little bit backed up but I wasn't in rush (they are literally 'Mom n' Pop) Ordered a lot of food to share and see how it was: rave reviews. Lots of flavor, tastes home-made and some creative recipes. Highly recommend trying them out!

Great pizza. Excellent balance of cheese, toppings, and sauce. Worth the price for sure. Toppings are plentiful and we'll spread across the entire pizza. Veggies were fresh and crunchy, pepperoni spread wide and evenly, sausage crumbled and distributed, all while managing to avoid a ton of grease.

Great sauce and excellent crust. A delight to see there are dairy-free options for my lactose-challenged girlfriend. The website said we were out of delivery range, but when we called they delivered. Better than Pizza Luce, but not quite as good as Blaze. My only gripe is that they were a little bit pricey, and the pizza seemed smaller than 12”.

Just ordered the St Louie from Pizzeria Lucca. Online ordering was quick and easy. Pizza tasted Amazing! Sauce was zesty and the toppings were fresh & delicious. If I had one complaint it was that I ordered a 12" pizza and the pizza I got was skimpy... 9" at best. For $18.49 I would expect to get the size I ordered. I'd be a little bit scared to order the 16" @ $24.49 if sizing isn't consistent. Hoping it's just a new place working out the kinks 🤞🏻

It's more of a Davannis meets Pizza Luce type of pizza which is fine on all levels. Again, just amazing customer service and we will do business again.

This pizza spot is filling a hole that has needed to be filled in the twin cities for quite some time. It is the quintessential neighborhood joint. While everyone else is trying to do something new and different, Pizzeria Lucca is taking us back the basics of good, quality, delicious local pizza. This is exactly what we were looking for.

This place is a great addition to the neighborhood. I'm giving it a 5 star rating, but its more like a 4.5 for me. I've been here a few times now and am trying to provide constructive feedback to the owners because I truly want them to become a neighborhood staple. The good stuff: Pizza has always been consistent. Great dough and sauce, generous portion of toppings, super cheesy, and most importantly, very tasty. My order has always been ready super quickly and I was notified via a text. Very convenient. Some things to work on: I don't think this is a chain pizzeria, but it kind of feels like it when you walk in. Feels a little bit "sterile" and empty. Maybe thats the style they were going for, I'm not quite sure. I would enjoy seeing the history behind the pizza place that they talk about their website, some kind of décor with character in it, that tells the customers who you are. It is VERY clean, I'm sure that with Covid you guys are taking extra steps to making everything sparkle, and it shows, however most of the time's I've come in I feel like I'm interrupting something because there's a vacuum cleaner in the middle of the space. Also, its important to notice a customer as they enter the space while you are taking care of an issue for another customer, something like "be with you in a moment/be right with you" so the customer doesn't feel awkward, as you're trying to figure something out for a few minutes, they need to know you will take their order shortly. And thats about it. Im going back to eating that tasty pizza I got while its still hot.

It's hard to find vegan pizza done well, but Pizzeria Lucca does. it. WELL. I got the Vegan Meatza pizza, and it was SO GOOD! There were a couple of things that I felt could be improved on - the first being that the description for the Vegan Meatza says pickled onions, but I don't think the onions on mine were pickled. Or if they were, they had probably been done on the same day and didn't have much time to soak in all of the acidic goodness of being pickled. The second - I requested basil to be added to my pizza, and it came with a single basil leaf beautifully placed on each slice. Aesthetically wonderful but functionally not the easiest to consume. It results in either holding the basil leaf in place to try and get multiple bites of pizza with basil or giving up and just accepting you will be eating a single bite of pizza with a lot of basil. If it were up to me, I would do shredded basil! Either way, this pizza was still the bomb, Pizzeria Lucca is new and killing it, and I cannot wait to try the other vegan option they have there!

I am in Saint Louis Park often so I’m really happy to see a non chain pizza place! It was SUPER busy there when I went and staff still remained friendly and efficient. Pizza was done right on time and was absolutely delish! I pretty much ate the whole box of pizza myself Lol and came back the next day in midst of snowfall to get another box. A bit addicting. Ordered the pizza online. Pizza was done on time and there was friendly service. My family loved the crust and cheese but the sauce was on the sweet and bland end. I can see how people would like that but the whole family said they would not get again because of the sauce. If there was a zesty sauce we would be back.

Update: Have tried them again a few times since my initial order. The owner is a great guy and the slices are large. While the pizza has been slightly better than my original experience/review, I still didn't think it was anything special unfortunately. Original: I really wanted this place to be good and was excited to support a local small business, but the pizza just wasn't good - especially the crust. The higher prices don't help, either. On a positive note, the garlic bread was delicious, but I'd find it hard to justify the trip for that.

It's a take out pizza joint. We've been ordering pizzas and sandwiches since they opened several years ago. No complaints ever. My wife loves the chocolate chip cookies, we both like the cheese cake. Still some items on the non pizza menu to try

Tried the large 16" pizza and a meatball hoagie and both were awesome. Great crust and sauce, & very generous with the toppings and cheese. Was my 1st time there since it was a Little Caesars. I will be back for more! Thanks for the great good. I'm trying your dessert next time as well!
