Reviews of Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse
North Star Mini Storage
I've eaten here for years since they opened and it's a great place for lunch or dinner. I really like the salads they have. The sides are really good as well. I got creamed spinach and it reminded me of Houston's spinach dip
only missing the chips. Really good. The creamed corn and loaded mashed are also favorites. The steaks are consistently good and never had one I didn't like. Staff are always friendly and professional.

Excellent restaurant. They’re the sister restaurant to Manny’s. Our service tonight was excellent. Our waitress took the time to show us the different cuts of meat, went through the wines with us etc. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my wife’s birthday. The French onion soup and salads are also delicious. Love the ambience. I honestly think if you have a poor experience here, you’re the problem. Not the restaurant. Oh the NY cheesecake and key lime pie are amazing too.

Came for a girls Valentine date. The food was well cook and delicious! One of the biggest hash brown I ever ate and bread too. It was very yummy. The service was great. The lady who was our server was very nice and I love her energy. I do plan on coming back with my bf for a nice date. It’s such a nice warming place to dine it for sure.

So many delicious options! I enjoyed Fresh Oysters on happy hour with a side salad (not pictured). A spicy watermelon margarita and then red wine also on happy hour, paired with cheesecake for dessert. Not to mention the complimentary fresh bread and butter! I spent a lot of time with the menu and already know what I want to try on my next couple of visits! Great atmosphere and attentive staff.

We ordered lunch for two--steak wrap, coffee encrusted sirloin over mashed potatoes, a coke, a lemonade, and a dessert for $70.
Food was good! The steak was tender and delicious (fair warning, the shallot demi glace is very sweet and very salty, almost overwhelmingly so). Steak wrap was nice, all food was fresh and good. Service was attentive but not overly so. Atmosphere is slightly more upscale than your average lunch restaurant but not formal.
It's an expensive lunch and probably more suited for special events or couples rather than family outings.
But oh...that banana cream pie with chocolate crust, caramel sauce, whipped cream, and macadamia nuts. I will dream about this dessert. I already crave another. I scoffed at the price...$14 for a slice of pie, are you kidding me??? And it is almost too expensive, but listen, if you have to save money, skip the steak and order the pie. Seriously.

Went here to treat my woman to a fantastic dinner with excellent service - we got exactly that! Our server was knowledgeable about the differences between regular and dry aged steak. The pistachios crusted walleye was the best fish dish I ever had! I got the aged steak, I recommend medium rare but to each their own! Shrimp was great as well!! We left very happy

Great place to eat. Had the 24 oz dry aged bone in ribeye (Manny's special) medium rare with onion and mushroom on the side. Was fantastic. Also had the sea scallops Benedict which was also great. The wife had order the pistachios crusted walleye which she loved and I also tried of which I found to be really flavorful. Ended the meal with the Pittsburgh brownie and let me tell you, couldn't of been a better way to end the meal. Service was great. Riley was our server tonight and he and the team did a great job. Water never ran low, his suggestions were great. Service was spot on and food were perfect. Couldn't of ask for a better night out for dinner with the wife. Highly recommend and I will for sure be back!

I have only been there once. It’s okay. To be honest, I think my husband cooks better steak! I don’t quite care about the steak I ordered but the service is excellent! Especially when they are helping you packing your leftovers!

Everything here was good. Wasn’t too thrilled where they seated us and also felt we were being rushed. The Steaks were cooked perfectly according to the company I was with. The appetizer and sides were point on! and the bread and butter was soooo good.
Jessi Kangas
Excellent Filet Mignon Oscar-style. Broccoli was cooked to perfection (not pictured). Asparagus was a LITTLE over cooked, but delicious, just the same...AND I asked for regular horseradish, not creamed and I recieved an actual amount of it! Not a little ramiken, where I'd have to ask for more, 4 times! Service was good. Polite staff. Fast service. Nice atmosphere. Dinner menu served along side the lunch menu.

We had an excellent time! First time here and it was awesome! I had the Aged 28 day 22oz Ribeye seen below, and it just melted in your mouth and had this awesome nutty flavor. cooked perfectly. Drinks were top notch, sides were very good as well. Our Server Riley was A+++ make sure to ask for him, it was nice to explain for him to explain the menu to us and all his recommendations were a big hit. But the entire staff was great as well. Ambiance very nice as well.
Travis Holm
Incredible experience. Took the wife out for her 30th birthday. She got the Oscar filet mignon. I got a 28 dry aged ribeye. Perfect! Dessert She got a strawberry cheese cake and I got a bourbon pecan pie! We will be back soon!
Eric Lee
My first time at Pittsburg Blue and the steaks were pretty average for a steakhouse. The Crème Brûlée was disappointing and sides are pricey. The service was good though.
William Wilson
Got the dry aged ribeye special. It's listed as dry aged for 28 days, but it had a nice nutty flavor that was consistent with a longer age. It was great. Honestly, it's the best dry aged steak I've had in a very long time.
Of course the staff is top notch.
Pittsburg Blue is really an example of, "You get what you pay for."
Shiela Ubana
Everything went really well. We were a party of 3 and they didn't ddisappoint. The food, the wine and the service was great.
Angela Pearson
Good food, good service. We sat outside at the patio bar as it is first come and we didn't have a reservation.

Update from recent trip: Still awesome food had the strip steak cooked absolutely perfect! The comment concerns the waitress we got which is the same one my daughter had several months ago. Name is Sandra I believe? Nothing personal but she neglected to bring 3 items we clearly talked about, mushrooms for my steak, the new Mexican corn dish and an extra hollandaise, small items but overall contributes to a less than satisfactory experience and when it costs as much as it dies and most people only can go once maybe twice a year for special occasions, I don't think 3rd rate perkins type service should be allowed. When I go back I will make sure to NOT have Sandra sorry I just feel she's not providing the image your obviously going for not withstanding her terrible service which is definitely something I haven't experienced at Pittsburgh Blue. As you can see by my previous review I really enjoyed the server. Excellent food! Service is top notch! Been twice,, Peter was our server and like our other server, he's absolutely awesome! Seamlessly fills drinks, great attitude! Makes you feel special, people complaining about price I don't understand? You pay the same at any top quality steak house. It's the veg potato separate deal. High quality ingredients and a friendly staff will bring me back.
Chuck Millar
The experience was out od this world! The food was Top Chef level, the ambiance and service was fantastic! They have items on the budget friendly in mind, and for higher end items, you certainly get what you pay for. Well done and we're certainly going back again, and again!
Jim Cogelow
This was a birthday dinner. Food and service were very good. Tuna poke bowl appetizer. B had wild mushroom ravioli, I had sirloin steak, we shared an order of hash browns. Cocktails before dinner and strawberry cheesecake for dessert. A very pleasant evening. Thanks Brit and Pittsburgh Blue.

So I took a group of 5 of us spent a little over $600.00. The waitress wasn't rude but not over friendly either. Everyone had either a steak or a prime rib plus a side of potatoes of one form or another. Let's just say everyone raved about the potatoes/hash browns. As for the Steaks fair at best nothing impressive. If you want great Potatoes got to Pittsburgh Blue a much better Steak can be found elsewhere for a fraction of the price. I would have given it a 2 if it wasn't for the potatoes!
ty lightle
The best food I've had from any restaurant the steak was perfect he had a porterhouse I had cowboy steak grown-up Mac and cheese but what truly blew my mind was the maple bacon appetizer.
Beverly Parnell
What an unfortunate disappointment this was. They have definitely gone downhill over the years. I was entertaining friends from out of state whose only request while in town was to have a nice Minnesota steak dinner. It took 30 minutes for our server to greet us and take our drink order. It was 45 minutes to get our 1st drink. There was no explanation of the menu or specials. My friend ordered a medium filet. It came out rare. They recooked it but it turned out to be fatty and inedible. Manager offered to buy the table dessert so we ordered it and then were charged for it. My steak was tasty but tough. They obviously are no longer purchasing quality meats. I will not be spending my $$$ at this establishment again.
Natasha A.
My friend girl suggested this Steak House. 1st time experience. Amazing dinner. The Tuna Poke, was light, fresh and delicious for starters. I had the Queen Salted Prime Rib 10oz & she had the Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp. OUTSTANDING. Kendall was our server. He answered all of our question about each selection with no hesitation. Great personality & lovely smile. Keep him on board! We'll be back or maybe just some self-love for myself. PBS 💛
Chris Sorento
This place is just mediocre. Everything you order is by itself except for bread (which had a bland taste and the top had too much garlic). Steaks not prepared correctly except for 1. Waiter did not check to see how things were prepared and refills on drinks was lacking. For the price, would not return. The place smelled like bad fish, not a good sign. Try it for yourself and you decide, I bet you will get the same response I did. Some of the tables are in odd places. Nobody greeted us when we walked in. Some of our party was already sat. You could easily pay 100s of dollars for a meal that is just ehhh.
Amh 100
Sandra was the best waitress I have had in a long time!!! (And we dine out quite often) She seems to put her all into her trade & really takes pride in her work and caring for her patrons. We had to talk to Mitch about an issue we had with the bill and I think Mitch should be waitstaff and Sandra the manager!!!! Sandra’s attitude is customer first, Mitch must have gotten the job because someone in his family owns the place - very rude & entitled. Not someone I would want representing my establishment
Randy Harrison
The 20+ ounce Cowboy Ribeye was perhaps the best steak I've ever had. This is our go-to for steak in the NW metro.
Julie Vertina
Delightful, delicious steak, done to perfection and delicate crumbly walleye so flakey, and mouth watering! Side dishes, so flavorful and savory! A must enjoy, for a Well Deserved Night Out! I would not bring children here, for the atmosphere is for Adults, relaxing from kids and very Classy.
Jesse Bryant
Had dinner with a group of friends on 12/22. Food was good. Our waitress was great! Extremely helpful. Unfortunately, the bartender was rude and condescending to a number of customers sitting at the bar which was disappointing. He made it clear that people were inconveniencing him with basic order requests.
Sean Langton
The dinner rolls were incredible! However for the price the steaks were underwhelming and lacking in flavor. I would return for the garlic dinner rolls alone though. The presentation, atmoshpere and service was very excellent I just expected more out of the steaks
Joe Leuer
Great restaurant, we loved the service and hospitality. The food had always been great!
Only reason for the 3 star was I purchased a set of steak knives, only to find out I was given a used set. Food is incredible!!
Nikki bunnyprime7
This is always a wonderful experience.
My apologies that some of the photos are partially eaten. The food was spectacular and I forgot to take photos.
Arguably the best steak house in Minnesota.
Not our first time dining here but we have always had a good experience.
We started off with a Manhattan and Old Fashioned. Both were made right.
For appetizers- the Scallop Benedict. (It came with three). This is our favorite appetizer here.
Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. You can’t go wrong with this one. We loved the fresh horseradish in the cocktail sauce.
Main course-
Aged Ribeye (medium rare) & Porterhouse (rare/medium rare). Both were cooked to perfection and were great cuts of meat.
Dessert- creme brûlée. The vanilla bean in this was a nice touch.
Tierney Porter
The food is absolutely INCREDIBLE and this is honestly the best Alaskan King Crab I have ever had. Very expensive, about 90 dollars a pound, but I promise it is so worth it. The service is amazing and I will definitely be going back.
Sean Carroll
Wow! If you haven't been here yet you are missing out!! The aged ribeye was cooked to perfection and probably the best steak I've ever had at a restaurant. The service was second to none as well. Very highly recommended you get here ASAP.
Marceline Schmidt
Amazing food! No wait and you can order from the dinner menu at lunch! Superb experience!
Andrew O'Brien
My wife and I went to Pittsburgh Blue for a special occasion and to celebrate. Given the COVID controls in place, the restaurant was at a low capacity level, tables were spaced out, and everything was being well maintained and cleaned. As expected, our food was excellent and the service was fantastic. If you have the opportunity to get out, I would recommend PB for your special occasion or even casual outing.
JRob Zetelumen
Delicious, delectable, stupendous, astounding. We love the herb crusted prime rib. The way they s as lit brings life to my tastebuds. The way the pricing works, half again as much is only $5 more, and the leftovers make excellent sandwiches the next day. The Cinderella Elder flower cocktail was magnificent. Every side set a new standard. It was not a cheap outing, but it was worth it.
danny Ramirez
Most items are alacart, but are a good amount of portion. The Steak was amazing and couldn’t of been more spot on with the Mac and cheese
A A
So freaking good! Friendly service, clean and everyone wears masks like good Americans! Lets flatten the curve America, you have to cover your dong outside so stop crying about covering your face...Trust me, we don't want to see most of your faces anyway so you are doing 2 services at once! Thank you
Joe Albrecht
A great place for celebrating special occasions. I enjoy the low lighting and vibe of the restaurant. Their bread they give is my favorite bread in the world, they're mashed potatoes are phenomenal. And they have the best steaks I have had out of all the steakhouses I've been to. Nothing on the menu disappoints, it is all great!
Jim Pappas
We had 3 steak dinners and walleye dinner plus sides all the food was done perfect Lisa was great on our service we asked for a booth and the very rude hostess told us no even though there plenty available except for the hostess it was excellent
Shari Noon
Our 49th anniversary and I called for reservations. Told them celebrating 49th anniversary. Our server seemed fairly new, but pleasant. The young man bringing bread and servicing tables, very attentive. Hope management is paying attention to him. I was impressed. Our bottle of wine good. We started with Oysters. My Sea bass excellent. Served with ginger and green beans. My husband enjoyed his steak and 2 scallops. Special price $49.95. We ate maybe a 1/4 of our loaded hash browns. Yum We did not mention it was our 49th anniversary. Did not do desert. Special occasion or once a year place.
Donald Metzler
Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse was very good. The food is basically a la carte. The steaks were well cooked. We had brussel sprouts as a side and they were excellent. The sides are large enough to share between two or more people. The service was good but not exceptional which I would expect for a restaurant at this price point. For the two of us, the bill was $200 for two steaks, a side and a bottle of wine.
John Schaefer
Great experience. My company has our year end meal here. We always have a great time!
Minnesota Nice
Lunch ...coffee crusted sirloin steak dinners, lobster mac, and for dessert a shared piece of chocolate cake (enough for 4)! Delicious!
Arielle Yahnke
We came here for a late lunch/early dinner. The service was excellent and our food was good. The restaurant was pretty quiet, allowing our table of six to be able to nicely socialize (not talking over loud music). My husband ordered a medium rare steak, although the first two times his steak was brought out to him it was not cooked medium rare (one time over cooked, one time very under cooked) our server was fantastic and made sure to have the kitchen correct the error with the third time being medium rare.
Thach Nguyen
Had a date night out with the wife with out kids. Food was amazing! The server was also top notch!
Denise
Every time I visit this location they never disappoint. Service and Staff are excellent. Food is always delicious.

Sooooooo...... A little "word to the wise" so to speak..... unless gluttony is your thing, do not I repeat do not order the king cut prime rib AND the "loaded baked potato" it is unfortunately savory and cause a person to over indulge.... I went there with my son and we both were well beyond pleased with our meals.
Michael Norgren
Everything was great, for the most part. The steaks looked amazing, although expensive! Appetizers are also very expensive ($15 is the cheapest app and that is onion rings).
We ordered a simple Caesar salad with our meal and weren't told that they were substituting the Romain with core chunks of iceberg lettuce.
Regardless, good food, a little expensive, but that was known ahead of time
Lindsay Berg
We LOVE Pittsburgh Blue. We wish we would have "discovered" the deliciousness earlier. Their steak is amazing, but their bacon, bourbon pecan pie, cheesecake and loaded hashbrowns are our favorites. The pecan pie is so good, that's what my husband wanted (all he wanted) from there for his birthday. Needless to say, this is what we picked out from takeout. The dining experience is good, too. Both times we went, we liked our waitresses a lot. The drinks are so good as well.
Junk Mail
Being a Pittsburgh native, this was a must try for me. Pgh Blue is an outstanding resturant that exceeds even my high expecations. If you are ever in the Minneapolis area, treat yourself to a nice dinner here.
Mackenzie Sturkie
I came to the Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse some weeks ago; today I came back. Our waiter was Nathan, who was amazing and very kind. We came when it was pretty packed and were seated at a small table- which isn’t my favorite. We asked for a booth but they said they were all reserved. So, we had to stay at the table we were given. The speciality tonight was the Dry Aged Ribeye (not the Aged Ribeye) so I decided I should try it. The Dry Aged Ribeye was like the mature version of the Aged Ribeye. I also had a side of Hollondaise sauce for my steak to dip into. It had a more tangy, or sour taste at the beginning but went well with the flavor of the Dry Aged Ribeye. I can’t say I loved it though. While the Aged Ribeye was like a teenager, going crazy and having fun, the Dry Aged Ribeye is like an adult, who has a good job and substantial income. Regardless, they are both AMAZING!! whichever one you choose, the flavors will dance upon your tongue and leave you feeling satisfied with your meal. So good, love this place, would come here again and again!
Kathy Sprague
As always,a wonderful meal and great service. Shout out to our waitress Lisa, she is the best,so enjoy her. Our special place to go when celebrating.
Derek P.
Another great place for steak and more. We had the tartare and it was as delicious as it looked. The waiter was good at explaining the wine selection and we had a great evening enjoying or good meal and drink. The icing on the cake was the desert. I don’t think I’ve had anything unenjoyable here, which is good for being a chain.
Nicholas StOurs
Literally the best prime rib in town! My waitress Jess was super friendly and helpful. The food came out super fast definitely a must if you are in town!
Sue Rousseau
When we saw the prices, we were wishing we had gone elsewhere but once we got our food, we decided it was worth it! Delicious! My husband said it was the best prime rib he's ever had. We're seniors and he's had a lot of prime rib over the years so him saying that is really saying something!
Alex Pellegrineschi
First time in this restaurant, we just stop there for a quick late lunch. The place has an interesting decor with bone cleavers all over the place. Excellent food quality and friendly service. It is a pricey restaurant, but the food quality worth the higher price.
Rocci Berrini
Not a place this classy in a 20 mile radius .
Coconut shrimp, jumbo lump crab cake, and Bourbon maple glazed bacon are what you are going to get.
Brian Coglianese
Expensive, but worth every penny! I ordered the prime rib, and it was the best I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection. The wait staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. There was even late night live entertainment. I stayed in the area for a business trip and went there twice, I also plan on returning on my next trip out to Minnesota.
Dan G
Tried for the first time a couple weeks ago. Was very impressed. A step below Manny's and Ruth's Chris but would honestly rather dine here instead. Much better bang for your buck.
Benjamin Tetzlaw
Hands down one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Had the Cowboy Ribeye. Service was amazing. Will definitely come back.
Jennifer Donnell
A bit pricey for lunch, go hungry and get full on appetizers!! Service was Stellar thanks to our hostess Jennifer. The music was good.
Dan Bakke Jr
Edina location.. Really good food but service was even better! Eric & Nick were not only making drinks for the whole place but also doing tableside service on high tops. The runners and bussers were Johnny on the spot. Great night out!
Todd Bakken
A solid local steakhouse chain. I've yet to have a bad meal at any of their locations. Steaks are simply prepared and rarely need any sauces or special preparations.
Chris Gapinski
Great food, but over priced in my opinion. Ribeye was great. Sauces for steaks add up when one should really be included when you order a steak. Waiter recommend hashbrowns and they were very good. Not much on the menu for mixed drinks.
Matthias Kittok
Absolutely incredible. Good service, food was amazing. New aged gin old fashioned is worth a try.
Jennifer Hintz
This is one of my favorite places to go! I would highly recommend the bone-in filet. But really anything you order will be amazing and is made to perfection just the way you like it. The staff is amazing and very accommodating for special occasions... like proposals!
Rick Sellman
Had a carving for a giant crab leg and since this is a steak house a fillet mignon along with the spicy hashbrowns. Man, just as I remembered. Always great service. Key lime pie was phenomenal.
Todd Gratrix
Very good steak, not sure if they were as good as the price they were charged...pretty close I guess. However the loaded mashed potatoes and appetizers were unique and delicious. Definatly worth a try to decide on your own!
J H
PB is a great place. Our server was very very good. The food is always quite good, as it should be for $50+ a plate. I appreciate the "take your time" attitude. Although I must say, our drinks took a little too long to arrive. I ordered a medium-rare Porterhouse which was definitely medium, but nothing rare about it. I'm not the type to send things back to the kitchen unless it's really bad. So I ate it and it was fine. But, for $58 for a steak I expect perfection. I would say overall a good experience, not great, and definitely not worth $500 for four adults, a 4 year old, and a 2 year old. Good food, but way overpriced. It's hard to think of going back at those prices.
Courtney Faydo
We had an amazing time. The staff works well together. For Valentines weekend, the food came out quickly. Very impressed with staff knowledge, service, taste and value. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Everything was so scrumptious :)
Patrick Liebl
We were here for a special night out, and it was ok, the food was good but the ambiance was not what I was expecting for the price. The food at Pittsburg Blue was good and the drink were as well, but it really felt like an upscale Applebee's. The steaks we had were very good and so was the drinks and soup, don't get me wrong, but the noise level was medium loud, and if you were at a table, you were pretty tightly packed in. The service was good , but I didn't understand why they rolled everything out on carts and then reached over the cart to place your plate. The one thing that was impressive to me was the ice cube in my drink. It was etched with "BLUE" and was visible when you looked down through the cube. Probably not going to choose it first next time we have a special night out.
Allen L. (Conceals)
Great food and the staff were very friendly! Love the scallops! They were delicious and the Pittsburgh style was phenomenal.
Alexis Gomez Nuño
The food here is simply amazing. You're guaranteed a great experience when you come here. It is on the pricey side and it's easy to rack up a big bill but if you're ever in the mood for pampering and treating yourself this is the place. The ribeye steaks are amazing and their loaded mash potatoes are heavenly.
Rick McCoy
Excellent service. Great food. The hash browns we got were so delicious. Steak was done perfectly. Only problem was that there was too much food when ordering a la cart sides.
Mike Ungar
We only visit once a year for our anniversary, but if I win the Powerball we will be going nightly. Such knowledgeable and personable servers. The bar area has a fantastic ambiance. I highly recommend having a cocktail in the bar before being seated for dinner.
KariAnn Kern
My husband's steak was great, the steak I ordered was over cooked, the soda we ordered was flat, but they compensated with a free dessert. One would figure for Father's day their products would be on point. Staff was great.
Courtney Hatfield
Vanessa was very exceptional and attentive waitress ! The lobster Mac and cheese was phenomenal and my dear friend had the French dip sandwich and loved it. The environment was classy and elegant. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area and ask for Vanessa :)
Tara C.
This has been my favorite place for happy hour oysters since we discovered this place about 7 years ago. It isn't far from home, and the service is always very good or supurb. The cocktails are such a treat! I've definitely found my favorites.
What I really want to give this restaurant
5 STARS for on this particular occasion is their aid in creating the perfect burger for my 12 year old! She was so hungry for a mushroom swiss burger, but it wasn't on the menu. We asked, and they provided!! My daughter said it was the best mushroom swiss she has eaten!
We had a slight hiccup with a staff shift change and had to wait a little longer than usual for service, but once that was adjusted, it was just like all our other previous visits: A+ service and great food!
Tim Schmidt
Everything was very good. Expenssive range of menu items but it was good food and fun place to eat. Wonderful accommodations even had a coat check. Cuts of meat are fresh and the hashbrowns are an absolute must. They are spicy, but so good!!
Ben Fadell
Amazing steaks all around. Great high end service, drinks and sides. Not somewhere to go if you want a cheap meal, but not over the top either.
Melanie Metz
My favorite place for happy hour in Maple Grove. Great happy hour food and drink menu. Bar staff is always happy and super friendly. They know how to make a darn good Martini!! And all the food we have tried was fresh, quality and delicious. Love this place for happy hour!
KJ Goldstein
Wow. Just wow. Dont let the price scare you (ok, let it scare you a little).. because I promise you will love every single bite of your experience and dinner here!
Alexandra Armstrong
Mushroom filet mignon was delicious. Service was great.
2nd time here: Petite filet and loaded mashed potato
A D
A colleague and I took a client here and the food was phenomenal. I had a giant cowboy ribeye that was cooked perfectly. We ordered the loaded hash browns for the table and they were to die for. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. Pittsburgh Blue is definitely going to be at the top of my list next time I’m in the mood for steak
Linda McBride
This review is almost 10 months past the date on my receipt, but every time I drive past the restaurant I am reminded of my poor experience at Pittsburgh Blue, Maple Grove.
My friends and I have been regular patrons of PB, Maple Grove for many years. Happy hour is usually our favorite time to go. We would get individual plates of the steak bites and share a couple of other appetizers which usually included the French fries with bearnaise sauce (so delicious). The food and alcoholic beverages were always very good and the service was great.
On June 25, 2021 my friend and I stopped by for happy hour. We asked if we could be seated at a booth in the bar area (there were two open), but were told "no" the booths were reserved and we would have to sit at the bar top, which we did. Approximately 15 minutes later the 2 booths were still vacant, so we asked if we could be moved to a booth. We were informed that they were holding the booths for the people who had reserved them. Another 15 minutes later while we were enjoying our first appetizer and drinks, the 2 booths were still vacant and another booth had opened-up. We asked again about moving to a booth and when we were told "no", I asked to speak to the manager. Travis, the manager, came up to the bar and cockily put his elbow on the bar top, placed his head in his hand and said, "So, what is the problem?". I explained what had occurred and he stated that when a reservation is made they hold the table/booth for an hour. I reiterated back, "So, if I make a reservation for 6:00 p.m., my table will be held until 7:00 p.m.?" He replied, "yep". I told him that did not make economical sense for a restaurant, especially now with Covid restrictions. He sarcastically confirmed that was their procedure. When I told him that his explanation was not helpful, he said "I'll cover your drinks" and walked away. I told our bartender/server, Brianna (who was wonderful!), do NOT take our drinks off of the tab as that was not the point of asking to speak to the manager.
To this day I don't really understand what was going on that evening, but, I do know that we left feeling insulted and belittled.
I have not been back since that experience, but since I was just given $100 gift card to the restaurant I will go back and, I guess, we'll see what happens. 🤞

Quality place. Somewhere to take your classy friends for dinner or lunch. Business lunch? Perfect place. First date? Yep, this would be great. Chill atmosphere. Great steaks! Nice, high booths.
Melina Hainey
We were sat at our table immediately and our server Nate was right there to greet us. Very friendly and personable. We had prime rib that was savory and delicious delivered to our table within the first 10 minutes. It was an all-around wonderful meal and experience. Never felt rushed but never had to wait.
Darrell Caturia
The food was great and wait staff is very friendly. Lunch menu is reasonably priced.
Mikayla Hatfield
I had the French dip and it was beyond delicious. My waitress’s name was Vanessa and she was amazing about checking on my table. The environment was very elegant and relaxing. I recommend coming here for dinner.
Newell Fisk
Food was amazing and filling. Had the coconut shrimp, blue cheese crusted filet, loaded mash potatoes, and strawberry cheesecake. The pear martini was great Our service was great and the waiter helped with recommendations. Only downside was that it was very loud and hard to hold a conversation. Other than that 10/10

We came here last night for my husbands birthday. The table we were seated at was just off to the right when you first walk in, in what felt like a private party room. It felt a little cut off from the rest of the restaurant and behind my husband was a curtain that servers and other staff were constantly wooshing in and out of it - it was a little strange, he was kind of worried about getting up and his chair tripping someone. Our server was phenomenal, showed us all the proteins and he put plenty of space between courses so we didn’t feel rushed, our table was always clean and food was boxed as we went. Great service. All the food was excellent with the exception of my walleye - great taste, but I ended up spitting a bite back into my napkin because I got quite a few fish bones near the middle - a little unpleasant and disappointing for such an expensive entree, I’ve never run into that in a restaurant before (I’m also 31 weeks pregnant, I can’t be eating fish bones) so I was a little nervous eating any more after that. But my husband loved his fillet Oscar, and the cheesecake desert was a beautiful surprise at the end. I think we will be back, might make reservations way earlier in the future in hopes of a better table amid all the ambiance, and will likely avoid the fish next visit.

The girlfriend's night out ... We all decided on the prime rib French dip. Awesome! Tons of perfect medium rare prime beef. The horseradish dip was delicious and the fries, a very large helping were excellent 👌We split a generous piece of key lime pie..best I've had..nice and tart, and fresh lime taste. …
Raj Morris
Steak was ok and burned! It was a little unflavored with no sauce! It caused me Stomach issues the other people I was dining with. The service was great, though. I hope they make improvements!
Laurie Azine
Great Food! Steaks were done perfectly. I usually don't order specials, but this one with crab-stuffed shrimp was terrific, would definitely order again if it happened to be there. Dessert was worth saving room for.
Ray Tharaldson
Onion ring appetizers were too spicy and coating on shrimp appetizer was too spicy. Filet Mignon done perfectly. Hash browns w/onion excellent. The room we were in was very noisy. Tables too close together.
emily n
AMAZING steaks and sides. But beware , for 2 people you will spend around $150-$200. A party of 7 was $550 for dinner. But it was a very special occasion so it was money well spent!
Philip B.
Absolutely wonderful staff and great food. Was my first dry aged steak, so I'm not sure what I have been doing in my life to miss this. Everything was delicious, the Parmesan Fries, Asparagus, not sure what kind of corn it was, but had feta cheese on top and tasted just fine.
The bourbon maple glazed bacon app was simply outstanding. The cream corn and corn bread with it was spectacular. Add the jalapeño with the bacon, such a great contrast. Will visit again when in the area!

This has been one of my favorite places for years. I would happily sit with a bowl of french onion soup and read a book and be in heaven. I was so excited to go back finally after so long but I was really disappointed. The service by wait staff is still 5 stars..10 if it was an option! I think they only hire considerate, kind and attentive people for service in my experience. The food quality changed however, the french onion soup was bland and the bread is not as fluffy and soft as it used to be, it seemed dense and heavy. The part of my experience which is a little more unforgiving happened when we made an attempt to notify MANAGEMENT about getting sick after eating the french dip sandwich. My companion and I both ordered it and we had a miserable night and the next day wasn't great either. When we called later in the evening after making the connection we spoke to the manager and we were just told, "I'll make a note". Really?!? I just spent $100 only to get violently sick but at least someone has made a note.....that is really disappointing. I am most upset because this was a place that I really loved treating myself to a couple times a month and it was worth every penny. Unfortunately, I can't continue to be a patron when management appears to be completely apathetic to a pretty serious issue.

Ordered steak, taste great the meat quality is superb. Must try for steak's lover.
Erin Nicole
My first time here and I couldn’t be more satisfied. I sat at the bar and had a bartender name Jake! He was on point, Very Informative! Food was
Phenomenal! We started with oysters and calamari, then prime rib and lobster with asparagus. Food was amazing, best prime rib yet and lobster was huge and perfectly cooked . Will be back soon! (Screen shorted my videos of the food)
Jeff Iberg (jefeOscuro)
Great food and service. It is an Ala-cart places and very expensive.
Brian
Great food and service. If you order a side keep in mind the sides will feed 4 people. Got my bill for $164. When they brought the slip for me to sign it was $498! Not sure what happened. They also charge 5% sanitary fee. That doesn't seem right.
itsmytimetoshine cece
We dined in.. from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was all around good service.. the only down side was we didn't get to see what meat they offered like we seen being presented at other tables. It was our first time here so maybe the next time. But the food was good and the service was excellent
Scott W.
Food was great, atmosphere is relaxed and service was awesome. Aged ribeye is worth the cost!
andy her
Love it. We had our 10 year anniversary dinner. Its pricey but worth every penny. Simple but perfect from service, food, atmosphere. Yes, I would recommend. Servers were attentive and professional. Food, cooked perfect. Atmosphere was more casual than I suspected.
Paul Agustin
To start the cocktails and appetizers were wonderful, the main course of steaks and sides was outstanding, the desserts were also very tasty. The cherry on top was the service. I would highly recommend Pittsburgh Blue.
elizabeth snively
We celebrated my hubby’s birthday last night and despite a reservation we’re seated at a table right next to the kitchen surrounded by two big noisy groups. I told the hostess I was hard of hearing that I won’t be able to hear and we’re celebrating a birthday. We passed three open booths by the way. There is also a much quieter room in the front of the restaurant. She said well you won’t be able to hear anywhere else either. After we were seated in the booth she offered to move us but I didn’t want to make a commotion. I couldn’t hear a thing although our meal was delicious. Probably won’t go back. Should be more sensitive to guests with disabilities.
Nadeem Syed
Service was outstanding and the roasted cauliflower was superb.
Diane Picha
Excellent steak no need to add sauce. Almost cuts with butter knife it is so tender and very juicy. Bar poors are extremely generous so be careful not to drive unless you aren't drinking alcohol. Recommend the raspberry mohito martini. Very tasty.
TM Evenson
Met PBS for lunch. I must say the French Onion soup was very good. I had the steak salad with greens and balsamic vinegar. Exceĺent. My four companions had several other choices. They each liked their meals. Excellent service.
Tyler Shifflett
Service & food were excellent. We had our company business meeting and dinner here thank you
Shae Johnson
Haven't been here since they did happy hour specials. But went recently because I was craving some good seafood or steak. The steak was incredible! Cooked to perfection!!!
The waiter was very kind and knowledgeable and great to talk to about the menu! He wasn't afraid to give his opinions and preferences which I loved! And everything tasted amazing! 5 star quality meal and dining experience, and I wasn't even expecting it to be so wonderful. Coming back as soon as I can! Kind of expensive, But VERY worth it!
TP Blazr
Totally fantastic, it's amazing how much meat and fun $1500.00 can buy!
Landon Harmon
Great food. Great service. Steaks are a must!
S Meyer
Always amazing food and the service is exceptional! We have been going here since 2008. Doesn’t matter if we are dressed up for a nice dinner out or if my husband stops by fresh off a construction site to pick up a called in order. Staff are professional, polite, courteous and welcoming! Hash browns blue style is a personal favorite.
Bryan Simmons
What can you say. Please understand everything was perfect. It was our anniversary and the blew us away.
Thanks for an awesome memory.
Cailyn Zierden
my steak was basically still mooing very concerning. won’t come back but good mashed potatoes and raspberry lemonade and strawberry cheesecake. xoxo moo moo
Paulette G
We celebrated an anniversary and the food was particularly excellent and service topnotch. Splurge for the dry-aged ribeye from Mannys menu; well worth it.
Clark Sherrick
I came in on Friday everything was nice drinks on time, waiter very attentive. The food was delicious. I decided since everything was great Friday I would make reservations for Sunday. Needless to say it was the opposite. Waiter was just ok. Food lukewarm. Just not satisfactory.
Adrienne Burns
The food at Pittsburgh Blue is consistently excellent, no matter what we have ordered. Be aware that if you are paying via gift card, you will need to pay inside versus curbside. It would be great if there were more vegetarian and kid entrees as we like to celebrate special events here. Dress code is business casual or better.
Mark B
Steaks were good, as usual. Soup was lackluster. Steak slices on steak salad were chewey and devoid of flavor. Salad and dressing were meh. If not for the steaks, I'd say save your money and eat at Applebee's.
Leisha Perrie
This restaurant is always exceptional! The food is always hot, fresh, and presented beautifully. The service is always amazing (especially since the huge turnover with COVID) Peter has been our server multiple times and he is absolutely the best. Peter is professional, friendly, and always is a step ahead of what our table needs. We have gone here for graduations, birthdays and anniversary’s. One of the restaurant gems in Maple Grove!!
Scot Hickey
27 years didn't prepare me for the wonder of this place. Everything was better than I've ever had. The atmosphere is far out of the norm. Cozy and sophisticated. The staff is phenomenal. Nothing bad to say. Nothing even average about this place. If I could I'd give a Michelin as it is a place worth taking a trip to visit. It is an experience.
Michelle Patterson
This place was nothing but amazing!!! The food was great!! The service was excellent!! Josh our waiter was beyond great!!! I came here for my birthday and now ima making this my weekly spot! I really have no complaints!! The drinks were amazing!! No cheap liquor what so ever! The cheesecake was WOW beyond amazing!! But most of all the service!! Down to the guy that removes the dishes from the table! I was amazed and my husband was so happy! This is definitely our new go to spot!! Kara Carter
Edward O
Celebrated an engagement with my friend here. I am very impressed with the food. Delicious filet mignon with blue cheese and hash browns. Jason our server took great care of us! I want to come back!
Charles Hauer
I have been to many steakhouse and still seem to think this is the best, you get the best bang for your buck because the quality is on par with steakhouses like Mannys but at a fraction of the cost. Service is excellent as well, will continue to go here for my birthdays.
Ted S
I took a friend there on a Wednesday evening for her birthday. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was great. I was surprised at how busy they were for a weekday and service was very slow and the ambience was quite loud. My friend and I could barely hear each other.
For food, we were both disappointed with the asparagus spears. They were the size of cigars and not tender at all; more like chewing bamboo sticks. We both said we liked small, tender asparagus better, like the kind one can buy in common grocery stores.
I ordered the prime rib king's cut cooked rare +. The meat was cooked to perfection, but it was not juicy at all and was quite tough, even hard to cut with their steak knife. It took a lot of chewing. I've had much better prime rib at much cheaper prices.
The other food items we ordered were all great, but these two items and the slow service for a restaurant of this caliber are very disappointing. Oh, they are also charging a 4% "Safety/Benefits Service Chg". More COVID19 aggravation.
Hannah Stuurmans
Or server Sarah was wonderful and the food was exceptional. We will certainly be back!
Austin Smith
The experience was out of this world. For places like this you expect a lot with the money you spend. Sarah was our server and she took the experience to the next level. Drinks were great. Food was fantastic and the atmosphere was nice. My moms steak had to be recooked and they gave her a brand new one along with double my dads crab order because they feel like he didn’t’t get his money’s worth. Super incredible!
Michelle Leyden
Family went to celebrate two birthdays. Steak was so tender and sides are huge for sharing! Well worth the drive, the desserts are fabulous.
Timothy Adams
Your steaks were costly, but delicious.
Your side dishes though are outrageously priced for what you're getting. Side dishes should be included with the meal ,
or half what you're charging.
We wouldn't be back because of that I'm sad to say.2 drinks, 2 dinners (1 on special) $230 .with tip.
Anthony Anderson
Amazing! Great drinks, great apps, and perfectly cooked steak. The sides were also amazing!!
Todd Husom
This is our Anniversary go to. Big fan of steak selection... The Bone in Tenderloin is the B O M B ... There filet in a selection of rubs and finishes is impressive and 'butter knife'. Their sides are rock solid (my wife loves the hash browns with onions) I'm more of an asparagus dude. We have had all the salads... Spinach and strawberry, ceasar, wedge and chefs creations... All spectacular. Stay away from the house red.... I am a bit of a wine snob, but that is a different story for a different time. The wine on feature list was too shelf! The Browne Pie is for Ice Cream, Caramel, Fudge, Chocolate lovers. Enjoy
Peggy Saudinaitis
I ate here for the first time this afternoon. Absolutely the best service - thank you Jess. Best waitress. The food was so fantastic, had the Pastachio Crusted Walley. Definitely going back.
gary bongard
Very good food was great service was great but with the prices they charged you would think they would pay for their employees benefits instead of charging them to the customer at 5% of the bill. Personally I think it's unreasonable.
Zachary Phelps
Best steaks in all of Minnesota IMO. If you like surf and turf, I recommend the Filet Oscar. Absolutely delicious filet, topped with crab and asparagus. Can't go wrong with the Scallop appetizer either! 10/10 steakhouse. Will be visiting again.
kurt eismann
Great place to go to celebrate a special occasion. Average price for a higher end restaurant. All the food was phenomenal and cooked perfectly! Staff was friendly and nice atmosphere.
Douglas Gartner
Top tier steaks and wine. Erin was a terrific server.
Kelzer21
This menu is amazing. The private room is large and can seat many. This place is the right choice for Steak.
Sean and Blanca - Realtor Couple - eXp Realty
For a chain steakhouse, this place is delish! We love the Petite filet mignon, bone in New York or aged ribeye with the Pittsburgh blue style hashbrowns, definitely a home run. Also check out their Sunday special, a great value. #SeanandBlanca
Danielle BW
Everything was delicious and definitely worth every penny.
Lee Griffiths
But if a chain place. Food and service were decent but I felt it was over priced, hence the 4 stars.

Went to Pittsburgh Blue for my 20th wedding anniversary. I do cook a mean steak at home on the cast iron so impressing me was a tall order. I decided to try the prime rib because I wanted something I could not cook at home. It was excellent, succulent and enormous. My wife got a ribeye and devoured it but felt that we could have bought a $20 ribeye at Hyvee and cooked it just well at home. What really stuck out was the service, our waiter was a tried and true professional food server. He was on his game; charming, professional and fast.
Jacky B
First time back after a few years. Used to really enjoy PB. Now it seemed just ok . Especially for the price point. Took the server over 5 minutes to even acknowledge us when she had walked passed us several times. Menu was the same. Beer menu is bad. I don't think we'll be going back.
Dan Pederson
I had lunch Petite Filet medium rare with a half order of regular hash browns. My wife had pistachio crusted walleye. Both were absolutley wonderful. Great friendly service. A bit on the high side for price but definitely worth the price.
Isadora Tures
Our waitress was super sweet and the service was great but the food was overpriced for the quality and flavor. My husband and I both had $40 steaks that were pretty good but not amazing. We both agreed that steaks we got fresh from a local farmer and cooked on our own grill were significantly better for much less money. I have had mind-blowing steak that was worth a 40-50 dollars price tag (without sides) but these steaks didn't even get close to that level.
We were given a free dessert for my birthday (which was nice) but it was slightly frozen and bland. We are unlikely to eat here again.
D Schlosser
Seriously the best steak in town. Whoever it is that chooses the meat and whoever it is that cooks it definitely know what they are doing.
Been going here a long time, the wait and kitchen staff have always been consistent in delivering good service. Just ignore the ditsy chicks at the front door, I don't know what their deal is. Once you are seated and in the hands of the waitstaff you'll be good.
Inell Williams
I've eaten here a few times. Everything was delicious as usual. I love potatoes and the hash brown are my favorite. The steak and stuff shrimp yum.😋 …
Sterling Vorwerk
Went their for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the service was excellent. They even threw in a cupcake to help us celebrate.
Wesley Colwell
Ordered the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer it was pretty good. I ordered the aged Ribeye medium rare and asparagus for supper. The steak had a good flavor it was about 1 and a half to 2 minutes over cooked for me, a little tough to cut. Asparagus was spot on.
Roberta Richardson
Best ribeye I've had in years
Rena Sager
Excellent cuisine, incredible service; Kyle you made a very special night Rockstar status. Our family enjoyed the whole evening beginning to end. Appreciate you were able to accommodate a party of 7 on short notice. Highly recommend! 👍 …
Missy
We are regulars here and it is by far one of the best restaurants in the Twin Cities for steaks, chops and seafood. We have had exceptional food and service from both management and servers. Especially LISA, Nate and Missy. The chefs consistently prepare our meals perfectly and they are especially great when we bring our tween and teen kids in for meals, one of whom has severe food allergies to eggs, shellfish, peanuts and tree nuts.
We've especially loved the new menu items and specials lately. The pork chops are insanely good and huge if you're in the mood for something other than steak. Also love the shrimp scampi, lobster and scallops. The steaks are always great, you can't go wrong with a fillet and the cowboy ribeye and prime rib are also amazing.
Definitely go here for a special date, business meal or everyday meal. Top notch!!
Kari Arimond
We had good service and good food. That being said, I will always find these sorts of places too expensive. You get good steak, nothing extraordinary, but good quality well cooked steak. But the idea of then getting no sides, and having to pay $12 for a plate of hash browns to share makes no sense. Charge me a couple bucks more and give me actual sides.
Jordan Butler
The food was AMAZING! I suggest the bacon appetizer and the hash brown blue side!!
Ksenia Kuhn
My husband and I love Pittsburgh Blue! Food is simply amazing every time we visit. Today we had Ribeye, Prime rib, wedge salad and Brussels sprouts. Our server (Britt, we believe, tall gentleman with glasses) was so sweet, friendly and caring! He went above and beyond and made it a very special evening for us. Every restaurant needs an employee like him! Thank you so much for a phenomenal experience!
Lauren B
We didn’t want to cook dinner tonight so we figured we’d try a new place out. It did not disappoint.
Sean was our server, he was fantastic. Super friendly, knowledgeable and made our dinner enjoyable. We will def be back and request him again.
We both had lobster/crab cakes to start, the ribeye, Mac and cheese and carrots.
All was amazing. At the suggestion of the server we got the half order of carrots and had left overs of everything, great portions for dinner the next day.
We splurged and found room for dessert. The piece of Cheesecake was bigger then my hand. It was great. The creme brûlée was on the ok side. The sugared topping was thick and very hard to eat, so we pushed it to the side. The custard under was a different texture. More gritty and not as smooth. Not sure I’d get that again, but it was still good.
Overall an excellent experience and great food. Well definitely be back and so glad restaurants are open and thriving!
Jane Johns
I am giving this 5 stars because the food is outstanding.
The last time we dined here, we arrived and were seated before the folks who were seated next to us approximately 10 minutes after we were seated. Once seated, we must have been lost in the shuffle, as no one ever came back. We watched our neighbors receive menus, order, and get their food ALL before we were given menus. We had an 8:00 pm reservation, but didn't get our order in until after 9:00pm. We had to interrupt the waiter helping the couple seated next to us in order to gain their attention. Apparently, there was some confusion over who was assigned to our table. Again, the food is excellent.
We have noticed that the staff seem very rushed and very stressed out. While dining there, on multiple occasions, we have witnessed waitress drop piles of dishes on the floor, which make ear piercing noise, simply because she's way overworked.
Most of the wait staff seem fairly young and we rarely see the same waiter twice. The turnover must be high. They could set an entirely different tone by simply having a relaxed team of servers.
Kristen Jakobitz
Excellent food! Entrées are served a la carte. The side options are served family style or available for one. Service was friendly and courteous. Recommend making reservations as they are generally crowded.
wade uglem
Great eats for sure, but you get what you pay for. $11 caesar salad with great ingredients yet no dressing. Eaten here many times and it is always really good. A $50 steak is a pretty ridiculous to me no matter what the grade of beef, but that is part of the experience. Good thing I don't care much about money or I wouldn't eat here. Excellent service every visit, too. That to me is the main internal expense 9f a high priced menu. So many staff and someone is always there anticipating your needs. The only reason I left this review is because my phone keeps telling me to leave a review everywhere I go, so there you go. Brutal honesty.
Nicole Breidel
We've always had a good time here! Tonight, we had our favorite time and one of the best servers EVER. Peter, in the bar served our table and made the experience memorable. Thank you so much for the great food and hiring exceptional employees! Peter was so fun, put up with our crazy table!
Chris Rich
Amazing, as always. Fantastic birthday dinner for our son. The porterhouse was superb. Service was very good. Not rushed. So nice to have a relaxing meal of delicious steaks again at our old favorite place. Good luck Pittsburg Blue on the toad to recovery!
Princess Kenny
I have always loved this restaurant. This visit was the first time i was on the patio. My goodness the patio is beautiful. Full bar with TVs shade and wonderful ambiance. The happy hour menu is small but the plates are filling and delicious. The steaks are expensive but I don't think I've had a better steak. The service has always been top notch too.
Mark Scanel
I liked it, but I may say it’s over priced. I’m okay with a good meal and a expensive price, but this place seems to be playing on legacy and quality may have slipped a bit
Sandy Wester
Dinner was great! Our server was Riley, totally awesome experience! We were out celebrating my husband's birthday with his parents. Thank you for making his day so special! I would also add that they had adequate space between tables, and every staff member wore a face mask. Which I really appreciate. Thank you!
Eric Rovang
We come here all the time and today we decided to bring our friends in today which was their first time here. We had one one the most best experiences ever tonight! We had great service, amazing food and the kind hearted wait assistant made our night outstanding. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and beyond amazing! I have never tipped a wait assistant on top of my server but Destiny completely deserved it! We hope to have her again helping us out next time!
Nikki Tauzell
great service, great food, and great atmosphere! we had the aged ribeye, asparagus, and loaded mashed potatoes. everything was prepared perfectly (and came out much faster than we expected)! we will definitely be back.
Tony Seed
Outstanding food, with just the right service (there when you need, and able to articulate the menu) We had the French onion soup and the Prime rib,,,, Yummy!
Sides are quite large and enough for 2/3 people.
Josh Menne
I'm never disappointed when dining at Pittsburg Blue. Wonderful ribeye.
Rob Sjoberg
Had a very nice experience at Pittsburgh Blue. Kicked things off with a blackberry mojito from the bar which was very refreshing and good way to start our dinner. Went to a very large and fresh house salad complimented by a tasty french dressing on the side. Finally both my date and myself throughly enjoyed our filet mignon cooked to perfection. We threw in two sides including their loaded mashed potatoes topped with a delicious mix of sour cream, bacon and chive plus their version of Mac and cheese. Way too much food which we happily boxed up to be used the next day. If that wasn't enough their fresh bread was amazing served prior to receiving our main course. Service from our waiter and wait staff was second to none. Made reservations and taken to our table promptly upon arrival. Easy parking with handicap access. Be ready to pay average $150-200 dinner for two but well worth the experience. We will definitely be back again.
JM Jewel
First time there. Chose here for our 1st wedding anniversary. Out waiter was so very nice and attentive considering it was obvious they were short staffed. Very nice atmosphere and the food was on point.
Michael S
My wife and I ate here for our monthly date night. The overall atmosphere was great and the staff was frendly. We each had a steak and shared two sides. The food was good but nothing out of this world. I have had plenty of great and poor steaks, blue was somewhere in the middle.
If your looking for a nice atmosphere and don't mind paying a few extra $$$ it's nice, but if your looking for top shelf steaks and food I would keep looking.
Christine Peterson
Have been here before and have loved their food. This time tried the Happy hour appetizers and it was a very mixed bag. Three small soggy pieces of bread for the bruschetta at $6 and 5 tasteless bites of meat for the beef tips at $4. Based on this, had I not eaten here before, I would not return to go for their meals. Our friends ordered the nachos and lettuce wraps and fared much better. Wait staff very attentive.
Ryan Larson
Had a great lunch here recently. Our server was fantastic and she made us feel at home. I think it was odd that they only had lunch menu's out at lunch even though you could order anything you wanted. Very nice spot, super clean with great service.
Prices were a little bit more than what you would typically expect for lunch, but that comes with the territory.
Joe Carr
One of my top 10 best steaks ever eaten. Price is a bit steep, but definitely tasty
Vance Yu
I celebrated my birthday this evening in this excellent restaurant. I am glad to say that we had a tremendous evening and the restaurant was absolutely the reason for that happy event. The stuff contributed in a gorgeous style, the food was great and my buddies were extremely delighted. We shall absolutely return for more celebrations. thanks very much.
Jon Pinke
My wife and I shared the porterhouse and it was definitely was enough for the two of us plus the skillet hash browns. The chocolate brownie for dessert was freaking amazing. Easily top 5 brownies I've ever had.
Rachel Larter
If I could give it a 10 star I would. The food was fantastic, the service was amazing. I would definitely come back here. I have never been anywhere that tops this steakhouse. I would definitely recommend coming here. It is a little pricey.
Anita Maki
Excellent service! Some of the best service I've had. Loaded mashed potatoes and green beans were excellent. The steak was supposed to be medium but was more on the well done side. A bit disappointing considering the price. However, I didn't mention it and the flavor was good. The creme brulee was great!
Brittany Stevens
My husband and I visited Pittsburgh Blue to celebrate our anniversary, and we were very pleased with our experience. Our server was very attentive and friendly, offering excellent wine and food suggestions.
Our steaks were seasoned and cooked to perfection! And, the sides were absolutely delicious - I highly recommend their hash browns Blue style.
I'd definitely recommend this place for special occasions!
Ginnelle Mansingh
My server informed me that this is the sister restaurant to Manny's. They get their steaks from the same place. It was a great experience. Excellent food and service
KATO FAST Racing
Great place to dine. Went there for Valentines and our waiter gave us A++++ Service. Food was delicious especially the desert and steak. Thank you!!
Alexandra Campbell
We love Pittsburgh Blue for any special occasion/date night. You can't go wrong with ANY of the food or cocktails. Expect to pay (at least) over $100 for 2 but, it's worth every penny. Plus, the service is always as expected...exceptional!

This place is amazing!!!
Great staff, clean restaurant. The food is incredible. This place fills up fast so try to coke early.
Elizabeth Sander
Service was exceptional. The steak was a ribeye and i was surprised at the lack of flavor. I also ordered med rare and they gave me medium well. The sides were amazing. I would return to give them another chance for a great steak!
Miko Dyer
The food was pretty good, steak well seasoned. The bread under the scallops was over salted tho so it messed up the overall bite.
Dan Lipa
We visited on a busy Saturday evening during holiday shopping season. They said there was a 45 minute wait, but offered a chef's table for immediate seating. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the 24oz prime rib with a shared side of hash browns and it was more than enough for the two of us. If there is a down side, prices are a little high for a chain steak shop. For the price, a high end restaurant wouldn't be much more expensive. Four drinks, a shared large steak and side came to $97.
Rebekah R
We went here with a business client that came in. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. Our waiter had a good sense of humor, but knew when to come over and fill our drinks silently while we were in the middle of a discussion. The hashbrowns were absolutely amazing! I took the leftovers home and reheated them the next day with zero complaints. Everyones steak was cooked as intended and no body left hungry.
Glenn Koppin
Great service from Lisa. The prime rib is excellent
Ellen Haynes
An excellent experience! A great waiter! Our meals were absolutely amazing. Ordered an appetizer that we didn't care for and the waiter exchanged it for another without a blink of an eye. Even the water was wonderful.
The rest rooms were even nice offering personal towels, lotion and so on.
The bill for two was $200.00 and worth every penny!
Thank you Pittborgh Blue for the wonderful and memorable experience!
Bridget Mclennan
The portions are overly generous. The food choices are superb. The shareable sides are enough to feed a small army. Tony was our server, and his knowledge of the menu, ability to make recommendations, and sense of humor are top notch! Kudos to Tony and his table team as well as the chefs!
Peter Westberg
Food is really good, atmosphere is nice, portions are for 2 or more when ordering sides, prices reflect that.
I will definitely dine here again.
Daniel Berg
Started out rough, we had a long wait and the entry way is FREEZING cold. After we finally got a table our experience was perfect. Our waiter was fast, friendly and super helpful. My wife and I both agree that the burger may have been the best we've ever had. Steak was great too. Can't wait to go back and try out some other menu items.
Aaron Zech
Very loud restaurant and very crowded. For price of the meal I'd expect a little more space between customers. Had to shout all dinner just for my wife to hear me.
Logan Paquin
I am a big fan of Pittsburgh Blue, it is one of my favorite Twin Cities steakhouses. The ribeye and prime rib have both always been excellent, the pork chop is tender, and if you like seafood, my table-mates have enjoyed their selections.
The sides are flavorful, mashed potatoes, calamari, and asparagus are all worth getting. I also love their old fashions. This last time I was there for lunch I tried the french dip sandwich, and it was juicy and perfectly cooked. The fries were also crispy and nicely seasoned.
Minwild G
Excellent fillet. The ribs are excellent as well. Very good service. Doneness of steaks were a little off but not too bad. When you place your meal order, like steak, that is ALL you get. Potatoes, vegetables, sides are all extra. Wonderful place to go for dinner. How often you go depends on your net worth. Make sure to bring your high limit credit card.
Steve Gerlach
Great food but you do pay for it.
Brian CP
Absolutely phenomenal in every way possible.
The decor is eye catching, but not distracting, perfectly themed. The service is world class, including a presentation of the cuts available on the menu.
The drink menu features an extensive bar with numerous cocktails and plenty of select assorted liquors, ranging from nice to ultra luxurious.
Then, the best part by far, the food.
I have never had a steak anywhere close to as good as any I've had at Pittsburgh Blue. Of the ones I've had here, the Cowboy Ribeye was the most recent and the best. It's impossible to describe. Incredible flavor bursts in every bite, steak so tender it practically melts in your mouth, and the quality doesn't stop at the steak. The side dishes are family sized and meet the unfathomably high expectations set by the main course. If you somehow have room left for dessert, order whatever looks good, cause it'll be better than you think. I even received a complementary slice of the most decadent, heavenly chocolate cake that has ever graced my taste buds, as I had graduated college recently and was celebrating the occasion with family.
You might scoff when you first look at the price tag, but for a special occasion, I cannot think of a single place I've been that'd I'd rather go to.
Bryan Plunger
Food has been good all the times I've been there. Some very tasty apps (the bourbon bacon is pretty great). Service has been nice on all visits as well, although not exceptional. When I've opted for a little more expensive of a meal I haven't felt like the quality was amped up however. This place feels and tastes like any chain steakhouse really.
Ed Flores
Mixed feeling. Food was amazing but the service was horrible. Couldn't get our drinks filled. And when my steak came I didnt get silverware. Sat there for about 10 minutes before I got up and got my own silverware. We finished our food before she ever came back to our table. I would give the food 4 out of 5 stars and 1 star for service.
Zane Overing
Lisa was our server, we went on the 26th and she was amazing, she was extremely friendly and thourough and I will be requesting her to be our server next time I dine at Pittsburgh Blue!
Don Keith
Exceptional service and grub every time!
If you're going here done sell yourself short, spend the extra money, get the Cowboy Ribeye, you won't be disappointed.
J B
Excellent dinner, steaks were cooked perfectly, cocktails always a plus (sometimes the focus, depending on the day/time)! Hoping to have the full menu back soon.
Jon Eberly
As always, the food was on point and delicious, definitely recommend the asparagus and your choice of steak, had myself a maple old fashioned tonight and was purtty dang good lol, the new York cheesecake was incredible. Plan to spend a pretty penny but worth every cent.
Carrie Pearson
The porterhouse steak was phenomenal and the service was exceptional!. Our waiter Nate was very good and informative. It’s pricey, but worth it. I can’t wait to go back and try other menu items!
Rick Trenary
Had another awesome dinner last night. Great service, great food with a relaxing environment!
Omar Fernandez
Steaks are amazing. Well cooked to desired temperature. Free birthday cake was a bonus. Moscow mule was amazing and actually well priced for this type of place. The fact that you have to pay $11 for a basic side salad kinda sucks.
Andrew
Fantastic place for high end meals - was in the party room for a business meeting - filets are top notch but $$$
Jeanne P
An excellent meal! Slightly pricey, but absolutely worth it. I had the Queen's cut prime rib - the smallest cut & it was plenty. One friend had the sea bass & said it was perfect. Other friend had petite filet with spinach/goat cheese & had enough for lunch the next day. Mac & cheese, drinks, birthday treat - everything was A-mazing! SO tasty.
Malaika M
Oh my goodness!!! This place turned me into a steak eater! The server had the best recommendations as to which cuts to order. I was impressed with the flavor and the tenderness of the meat. I have been ranting and raving about Pittsburgh Blue ever since. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy again.
Anwar C
Went there with family during mother's day and ordered steaks. For the price of ~$40.00 (Rib Eye) and for ~$54.00(Cow Boy Rib Eye), in terms of quality and taste, they were nowhere near to a steak you get from a steak house. They were just plain and lacked any tenderness. It was overly salty and wasn't cooked well for a medium plus cook. I have had better steaks at a lower price from a proper steak house. If you plan to go there, make sure not to get the Cow Boy Rib Eye. The Cow Boy is only in name, not in taste.
Charlie Xiong
We had the bone in ribeye and the 32oz double porterhouse steak (not on menu). They were high quality and delicious. The service here is great and the waiter is very educated in steaks. They will show you all their cuts if you ask them to. We also had the Buffalo Shrimp and Bluepointe Oysters. Everything came out well and tasty. I also loved the clean bathrooms and the individual cloth hand towels for customers.
Steve Cullinan
The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed. The service is good and friendly, but for the price I thought the food was just okay and not the caliber expected. For a little more money, I'd recommend driving into Minneapolis and visit Manny's Steakhouse, which is Pittsburgh Blue's sister restaurant. From my experience, the quality of steak is remarkably higher.
Roxana Strauss
We went for a special meal to celebrate two birthdays. The food was just ok. We expected more considering the prices and reputation. The prices did not reflect the quality of the food. It was very much overpriced. My steak was not hot when it came. The potatoes were very greasy. When the final bill came we paid for part in cash. Our cash payment was not reflected in our final bill. When brought this to our server's attention, he didn't show any surprise at the mistake and he never apologized. It would have been a simple thing - and the right thing - to do. We won't eat here again. We've had better steaks at Outback. And if we are going to go to spend the money for a nice steak house - we'll go back to Manny's. They are consistently fabulous.
Matthew Vue
Excellent service, every time! Love the prime rib (get the mother in law's cut) and aged ribeye! I've gone to Manny's a few time, and honestly, Pittsburgh Blue wins hands down!
Rob Erickson
Went just after the lunch rush which was the mistake on our part. Lunch menu is lacking, just not many options. I understand the logic of keeping it simple so you can execute faster and not put the kitchen in the weeds but give us so choices. The dinner menu is much much better. The service is what shocked me. Every time we need something it was a long wait. Waited to order, waited to get the basic food, waited forever for the bill. It wasn't busy but the staff didn't seem to want to get out of first gear. Next time it will be Redstone right across the street.
Jolie Olie’s
Great CD atmosphere. Delicious food. The cheesecake!! Amazing!
Patti Storm
I treated myself to Pittsburg Blue tonight. Steaks may be their thing, but don’t overlook the Wild Mushroom Ravioli!! Or the house salad. Or the bread. Or the Key Lime Pie. Worth the 30 min drive. And for sure I’ll be back to treat myself to the prime rib when In person dining resumes. Already looking forward to the leftovers!! Forgot to snap a pic of the food so I hope you don’t mind one of your satisfied customer. 😊
Joel Himmel Enterprises
Delicious food to enlighten your taste buds. We had the 16 oz Lobster Tails with a side order of Asparagus. More than enough food to be comfortable without over eating. For special occasions you should enjoy yourself at Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse. I know you'll agree with me that the food is fantastic.
Jason Higgins
Wife and I have dined here 3 times in 5 years. And while we hadn't had a bad experience, we also didnt feel this place was worth the money. We most recently dined on Saturday 11/16 and it was the best of our three visits. Everything we ate was exceptional. The roasted beet salad with burrata and hazelnuts was one of the best salads we've ever had. Wife ordered the lobster tail and I had the blue cheese crusted fillet surf and turf. My steak was a perfect medium rare and our lobster tails were both fantastic. We ordered the mac n cheese and sweet potato waffle fries as our sides and both were also fantastic. The waffle fries were wonderfully crispy and the caramelized onion dip for them was great. On a lonely sunday I'd eat a spoonful of it.
Thanks to the bartenders who took care of us the blonde gal was incredibly attentive and friendly. This experience really changed our feelings on this place as an exceptional and delicious place to eat!
Pat Wilson
Early Valentine's dinner. 1st time visitors. 4pm reservations to beat any rush. We were in casual attire which was acceptable. Great service. Waiter was knowledgeable and a professional. We both had filet mignon cooked to order perfectly. Meals are al a carte and we had amazing loaded mashed potatoes along with a happy hour cheese and cracker appetizer. Very good. Nice ambiance. Nice experience. 2 meals and a couple drinks each for 125 bucks. As with any restaurant not thrilled with the 3% employee health fund fee. Personal thing. We'll go back for special occasions.
Greg Baker
I love this place! The service has always been fast and friendly and my wife and I have been treated very well.
My wife and I have tried the NY Strip, Porterhouse, and Cowboy Ribeye. All three have been cooked perfectly to our order. I'm a stickler about a properly cooked medium-rare steak and I have never been disappointed at Pittsburgh Blue.
Both times I've visited I've made a reservation with OpenTable. I usually order wine and have never tried any of the cocktails. I would feel confident bringing business clients or friends to Pittsburgh Blue.
Carter Greene
Wow! I had the best bartender! Kitrick was great! He was friendly and on top of it. The drinks were perfect and delicious 👌 I will be coming back not only for the great food, but for the great staff as well! Can't wait to eat here again …
Kim K
Absolutely the best steaks you will have. Fantastic service with wait staff that really knows their products inside and out and they are great at upselling you their food products. The sides are ala cart and the portions for the sides are fine but the asparagus is fairly small. However the flavors are amazing. Prepare yourself for a large bill as it is very spendy. But again, well worth it. Great for a very special evening.
Dustin Garden
Great food, good atmosphere. Steaks were delicious, as was the cocunut shrimp appetizer. For dessert, go with the cheesecake. One of the best I've ever had. Ask for the turtle cheesecake. It's not on the menu but is phenomenal.
Brendon Stryhn
Honestly, the filet steaks are sub par. Fatty and zero flavor. Overall service was good but the waiter was not friendly at all. The drinks were very good. For the money, there are much better choices in the area.
Brittney Collins
Amazing server, but my steak was overcooked. Then when they redid it, it had no seasoning, no flavor and my other diners had already finished. The woman who brought my second steak said I had to cut into it to make sure the temp was right, that they make her do that, slightly off putting. Should have had me taste it, there wasn't even salt.... But thd loaded mashed potatoes were amazing! The filet, lobster, and crab cakes at the table were all delicious too.
sue johnson
Had the prime rib french dip. No taste and the meat was tuff. No fries they ran out. Will go back 1x more and try steak
Ruth Garyeh
We had Kyle as our server and He did an amazing job. The customer service was awesome 😎 moreover, the food was delicious 😋 …
Shaunte' Douglas
Always a good expenditure! Definitely one of the better dining experiences in the area. I wish their menu was as extensive as the Edina location. Their outside seating area is PHENOMENAL. great food, awesome staff and good presentation! My only dislike would be that Buffalo shrimp appetizer. I'm not a fan.
Sarah Roetman
Very pricey. I got a French Dip sandwich and it was $19.95. I added cheese, onions and peppers and that was an extra fee that the waiter didn't mention. An average steak is $42.95 - no wonder there were BMW's & Mercedes in the parking lot.
Eric Oxford
Pittsburgh Blue is one of my favorite steakhouses in the entire country! If you go here you will have to try to Sea Scallop Benedict along with any choice of steak. I've never had a bad meal here and have been treated with the highest respect by the staff. I can't wait to go back!!
Chauntayna MacRae
Friendly staff. The steak was recommended and cooked as requested, but was not seasoned.
jason nolan
I've had good food here in the past. However this time I sat at the bar with some friends. Ordering a Cuban sandwich with fries and a couple beers. Bartender was very friendly the sandwich was very good however the fries were the bottom of the bag(broken small pieces) and were overcooked(very dark brown). Very overpriced for a sandwich with fries having my bill be well over $40
Lisa Fussy
We had a very nice lunch. Service was okay. My problem is the 3% tax added on for employee health care. Because Pittsburgh blue doesn't have health care it adds 3% of your total for the employee heath care. Guess what most companies don't offer health care, including mine. I pay on my own.
So I should contribute..? No I don't think so. It will always come from the tip when we patronize this restaurant from now on.
Larry Hatfield
Ive ate there 20 times probably. Sadly I've since moved out of state and every time i go some place else similar it just doesn't compare. When i come back to MN Pittsburgh blue is the first restaurant I'm going to.
Robert Dixon
Rather expensive, but so so so good. Totally worth it for a date night. Staff was very friendly. Food was superb. I wasn't 22oz steak hungry when I got in but my dates said they could help with the food. So went for the dry aged ribeye and was totally worth it. I didn't need much help to eat it.
Wilfredo Jimenez
First time in this restaurant. Excellent service. It is a pricey restaurant, but the food quality worth every penny.
I had the NY Turf and Surf. Very good. The meat was perfectly as requsted, and quality was top notch. Highly recommended when budget allows.
Tim Newbolt
Tremendous, least of all. What a spectacular experience this evening. The drinks were spot on. Appetizers and main courses phenomenal. For our first time here I was stunned. But not for too long, as the service exceeded some of my best expectations. Our young server, Matt, delivered in the most approachable fashion, and the 3 hours we spent together felt more like family time than a night out with strangers. Dany, the on site sommelier, not only provided perfect wine instruction, but also made you feel welcome to her portfolio of wine knowledge - and she did it with style and relatable humor. What an awakening to great service, and the largest tip I have given to any team. Grateful and full. My wife and I will return in short order. Many thanks to the great group that made the magic happen this evening for each of us.
Justin Cunningham
One of my favorite restaurants. Simply succulent, delicious steaks. Everything I've had there has been great if not amazing. Quite pricey, but worth it.
Dani Tureud
We had a nice time at this restaurant, 1st time eating there. Riley was Great! He was spot on with the his suggestions of appetizers, entrees and drinks. Even though it was little busy he came back to us several times to see if we needed anything. Best steaks we've ever had! Riley you are a great waiter and we will be back because of that and of course the food.
2/15/2020
My husband and I had dinner here and again,we had a great time! Our 1st waiter was Sean, whom was great! He gave us his suggestions and was attentive. Our 2nd waitress was Shannon, because we asked to be moved to a booth seat.Sean gave her a heads up on what was going and she took it from there.Very attentive, funny! Travis the GM was great as well as Rosalba( I hope I spelled your name correctly). We are pleased to have nice, quality, friendly restaurants like Pittsburgh Blue to visit to avoid having to go downtown .
Thank you Pittsburgh Blue!
Hope Knutson
Went to Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse to celebrate a new job. The food was absolutely fantastic. Hands down one of the best meals I've ever eaten. It's expensive, but worth the splurge when you're celebrating!
Ben Burnes
Wife and I go here for special occasions. Always love their food and service. Pity they don't have the secret cheese curds on the menu any more but somehow we make due 🤣
Jessica Crnobrna
Firat First time going for brunch. Service was great, food nothing fancy, had its opportunities. Two from our party had burgers and the buns were visually dry. Said it ruined them. I had the breakfast platter with complimentary seconds, but wasnt ever offered them, even with an empty plate. Didn't quite make it worth the price then. The rest of our party's prime rib dishes were great. Not sure if we'll go again for brunch, unless we want a good eggs benedict.
Steve Quaday
Consistently high quality steaks and outstanding service. A nice place for a night out!
Jessica Wong
Great drink and bar selection. Private dining room available. Their table side kind crab cracking is amazing. Their steaks are not as well prepared as some of the other high end steak houses.
evltwnn
food was ok, not sure 39 dollars for a tough steak was worth it when it comes with no sides. The part that drives me nuts. At a top shelf restaurant I should not be swatting at fruit flies and bugs the whole time I eat. Landed on our bread first then landed on my steak. Bummer. fed it to my dog when I got home. Texas road house is half the price and you get 2 sides and buns to die for.
DJ Brennhofer
Awesome staff and great food! Orders were followed correctly. I personally thought hollandaise was too thick and a bit heavy on lemon, but not worth dropping a star for since it's personal preference
Jen Mccarthy
Buffalo Shrimp appetizer, hashbrown potatoes, Mac and cheese and green beans all fabulous! Also salmon was the bomb. A wonderful meal and experience. Treat yourself.
Amber Johnson
Food is always superb. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere is cozy and warm and welcoming.
Never ever had a bad experience here!
Michael Smith III
Visited 20+ times. It is a staple on our visits to the area. Often host business dinners here. The service is always quality and classy. Great food. Buffalo Shrimp is my favourite starter.
Robert Day
Great Steak House. We had a small meeting with clients and the place hit it out of the ballpark. Everybody in the group was so impressed with the quality of our steaks and the server was vantastic.
JC Younger
Always great food and service.
Prices are a bit over what I think they should be, however I'm still a once every few months a guest/customer there.
Keep up the good work!
Angela K
I cant begin to tell you how impressed I am with our meals tonight. To start, we ordered onion rings that were huge, thick and so tasty. The American filet mignon ( topped with cheddar cheese and bacon) is the best damn steak I've had in years. The steak was cooked perfectly, melted in your mouth like butter, and the taste was nothing short of amazing. My friend ordered a filet mignon with mushrooms, and a side of asparagus which she said was absolutly delicious. In addition we had ordered loaded mashed potatoes to share. A side of bread with garlic butter atop was also brought to the table. Desert was a Bailys chocolate mousse cake. I almost fell over after taking a bite of that cake. The mousse was like silk, creamy, cool and smooth. The bottom part of the cake was like a chocolate brownie. HEAVEN! To top off the meal, I enjoyed a blushing rose Cosmo that featured a flower inside a blue large square ice cube. The drink turned from blue to magenta as the ice cube melted. My friend enjoyed a lovely red wine. The waitress was knowledgeable and kind. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. My only gripe was that the woman who was busing tables came over while we were still eating and asked to start taking away plates we were still eating from, glasses, silverware and our bread basket. We were not done eating and felt rushed. This was around 8:30 pm on a Saturday. There was not a line of people waiting to be seated, and there were open tables. Other then that, this was the best meal I've had in a long time. We cant wait to visit again. #Cheapsteakisnotgoodsteakandgoodsteakisnotcheap!
Jason Delcamp
Loved it! Took my girlfriend for her birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint. Great food, excellent service, and the atmosphere yours expect from a classic upscale steakhouse. Cheers!
Dave Walvick
Great fillets with hash brown baked potato toppings
Trevor Rasmussen
Honestly, for the price it was just okay. Our server smelled like smoke which was unappetizing and the steak was just okay. We got a 32 Oz porterhouse to share and it was overcooked. The filet side was disappointingly small, maybe 6 Oz with one of those Oz being a chuck of fat. The server said it would be more like 8-10 Ozark we were disappointed. Overall it was just an okay experience but when you spend that kind of money ($70 on a steak) your expectations rise considerably.
Stephanie Mieras
I had the best steak I've ever had tonight. It was the cowboy ribeye with peppercorn sauce on the side. I didn't get a side....they cost extra...but I'm glad I didn't because it would have left less room for delicious meat. The service was also excellent....very attentive and gave great recommendations. I also loved being able to reserve a table online. Seriously, you need to ear here. If I'm ever back neat Minneapolis, this will be a must stop.
John Sorgaard
Eat every meal at the Pittsburgh Blue in Maple Grove. Service is excellent. Quality of food and style of preparation is outstanding. Staff has a great senses of humor. Bar is well stalked and we'll tended.
Stephanie Henderson
The food and service were excellent! When our bread came out though, it was still frozen in the middle. Our food came out right after she took it back, so I didn’t get to really enjoy it. We will definitely be back!
Michael Freeman Rogers
Hands down the best meal I've ever had at a restaurant, but also the most expensive. You really get what you pay for here folks. The prime rib was sublime, the mushroom pasta with short rib and bone marrow was out of this world, they even used hand made pasta! The lobster mac and cheese actually had high quality, tender not chewy, lobster meat. Finally we finished with their creme brulee, and it was the best creme brulee my wife and I have ever had. We thought we were too stuffed for dessert but we could have eaten for more of those. This is our new favorite choice for special occasions.
Elizabeth Meyer
Here for dinner with my husband and sons on Monday night. Great food and service but the restaurant is filthy. Spider webs in can lights, dust in ledges, torn booths, and spider nests I cleaned away under the ledge alongside booth (eye level) on the wall. Really a bummer when we paid $244 plus tip.
I hope you put something back in to the restaurant- we have loved it but won't keep coming back with this lack of care and quality.
John Flaska
Filets where very good. Coffee crusted sirloin a bit tough for my liking but had good flavor
James Smith
The highlight of our experience was the excellent service we received. Very friendly helpful staff, well organized. The food was very good but I think kind of overpriced. I think the service certainly makes up for that though.
Stephan Elze
Very tidy place with observing waiters. Above average beer selection. Steaks to dream for although I realized the cheaper ones are not much better than other places. The pricier steaks though, tender, juicy wonderful!
Kayla
Definitely recommend the Porterhouse and the mashed potatos 🥔 👌 …
Ryan Utsch
By far the best food in the state, for the price! Steaks are AMAZING! Lisa was one of the best servers we’ve ever had! A downtown steakhouse quality at a reasonable price!
Brian Richtmyre
Outstanding service with excellent food. Steak came rare instead of medium but was delicious. Sides were good and the cheese cake was fabulous. Pricey but good for the special occasion.
Martene Ackland
This is a great place for business meetings if you want to make a good impression. The food is very high quality and your options are endless. The chefs and wait staff are very careful once you alert them to your allergies as well. I was treated with such care for the allergy that I will be choosing this place when I have department meetings in that area.
Paula Holman
We went there for our anniversary and the food and service was great except we got Sat outside at the tiniest high top ever. The waiter even had to pull up a chair to set our side dishes on. They should not be doing this at a place like this.
Griselda Sandoval
Brought my parents here for lunch. The food was delicious! Customer service was excellent. Everyone greeted us when we walked in & as we were going to our table. I forgot our servers name but he was attentive and very polite. Definitely will drop by again.
Dan Dearman
The meat is top shelf and is prepared to your choice. The family style sides invites a bit of closeness from your table mates. The food is excellent, drinks are well crafted and the servers are attentive.
Henry Martinson
I've been here many times over the past decade and have always found it to be quite reliable. Costly, but Pittsburgh Blue boasts great food and great service.
Lindsey Lane
Surprised my boyfriend for his birthday and he was amazed with the food. The staff was very informative on all areas of the menu and the atmosphere was very relaxed when we were there. Love this place! Will go back soon!
Eric Majerus
It's fancy and polished. I've enjoyed their fish but their choice Pittsburgh Blue Aged Sirloin was too dry and not tender enough for me. It's a sirloin, but I thought for a choice steak (and 34 dollars) it would be excellent.
Marvin M (Infinity Biomedical)
Expensive place, not as great as I was told, had aged sirloin cooked really well and loaded mashed potatoes which I say were even better but I had more expectations on the steak, have had better on cheaper places. Servers are awesome.
David Fehr
Definitely on the higher end, but you yet what you pay for.
Mark Dinsmore (Mark)
I really like the food and service. It’s a bit pricey and there are a lot of business people which makes a dinner for two not quite as perfect as I would like. But the food, especially the steak and the sea bass. All delicious.
Kevin Pierson
Great happy hour patio. I usually don’t like potato skins, but theirs are great.
Dustin Antoine
This place is a bit of a throwback, and great for a hearty, steak or seafood filled meal. The server was extremely helpful walking us through the cuts, and nuances of most items. Overall good food and service.
Joseph Ensley
Mike and Jacob (bartenders) made the evening so fantastic! The food was to die for, and the cocktails were perfectly balanced. Will definitely be coming back!
M 1019
For the prices this place is not great. The service was not consistent. They basically disappear after you get your food and the restaurant was half empty. We ordered rare and all got medium or medium rare. The hash brown had great presentation value but was very greasy. We paid $80 per person.
Jeff Poggi
A solid steak, friendly service, a good wine list and tasty sides. A solid choice in the Twin Cities.
daniel d
Pros... Excellent service, servers are very nice and fast, food comes out very fast.
Cons.... Food is average at best, not anywhere near worth what they charge. Adding 3% of your bill to help pay for employees health insurance?
A place to try once but don't look for forward to great food.
Jon Preston
Great Steaks and awesome walleye. Love having a steak house in the northwest metro.
Barry Anderberg
I ate at Pittsburgh Blue for the first time tonight. I thought our waitress was friendly and prompt. The food was just awesome. I had a fillet Mignon and my wife and I shared a regular mashed potato side. I had a glass of cabernet and she had a martini. As an appetizer we had the cheese curds. They brought out some amazing bread after we placed our order.
The steak was mouth watering, and intensely flavorful. No A1 required. The mashed potatoes were delicious. The bread was fantastic. The cheese curds.. well, these were outstanding. Honestly the best curds ever, and I really didn't think you could do much else with cheese curds. These melt in your mouth.
I'd definitely go back to Pittsburgh Blue.
HOWEVER: Yes, it's expensive. For the two of us it was $109 dollars not including gratuity.
Today, 12/10/2011, I went back for my second visit and it was just as amazing as before. Honestly, this place is worth every single penny. The service is outstanding. Everyone from the second you enter the place is friendly. The food is simply the best you will find anywhere in the city. Everything, whether it's a cheeseburger or a fifty dollar steak is done with the utmost care and precision. I'd go back again and again, as long as I could afford to that is.
My only complaint is that our food took a little longer than expected to arrive, but it was a busy Friday night so it's understandable. A FINAL NOTE: Yes the steaks are small compared to other places like an Outback. On the other hand, comparing a PBS steak to an Outback steak is a little like comparing filet Mignon to a dog chew.
M Z
Had our business dinner last night - wonderful attentive service and the food was excellent. My fillet (medium) was cooked to perfection, all other dishes looked great as well - heavenly desserts ... all together a clear 5* evening
A Kapp
My family and I came for Sunday brunch on 2/3/19. The service by Nicole and staff were phenomenal. Wow the food was served hot and oh so good. I highly recommend with 5 plus stars.
Ben Baker
A little pricy, but worth it my opinion. The portions you're given are massive. Had left overs for two days. Drinks are a little over priced but they offer a good variety and unique drinks. Well worth a visit. Wait times are long, make a reservation
Emily Bevelacque
Cosistanly good. I tried the chicken tonight and it was amazing...I liked it better than the steak. The Brussels sprouts were top notch.
Reid Hurner
Wonderful food and excellent service. The flavors you will experience are nothing like your average restaurant, or even a higher tier one. Great place for a pricey, but very tasty night out.
Pamela Chilton
Fantastic! The steak and scallops with hollandaise I will come back for again and again. The French dip lived up to its name and brought us back to New Jersey! The staff was friendly and wonderful, our server Sheila was delightfully witty and fun. I am already looking forward to our next visit and we haven't even left yet.
Maryanne Raymond Anderson
My husband and I came in on a Friday night, blurted out to our bartender Josh that we had just come from my friend's funeral. He took such good care of us and made sure we were ok. Thank you so much, Josh. I appreciated it so much. We wanted to try PB for so long and I'm glad we finally did. We'll be back. Thanks PB team.
Sara Fischer
Great happy hour!! I had the corn and the nachos, both were so good. Happy hour chard has a little to be desired, service was ok. She was pretty stressed
Jeri Cherkas
Great beet salad and the additional shrimp were excellent! It was cold in there the day we were in. I never warmed up which made it a little hard to enjoy the food. The steak and mushrooms were also very excellent.

We had a special family meal at Pittsburgh Blue this evening. The service, food, atmosphere were all A plus! A huge thank you to the manager who arranged for us to sit on the patio as a group and the entire staff that made the evening memorable. You have our sincere gratitude.

This picture is worth more than words. Delicious steak and AMAZING polenta

Exceptional food. Steak is their specialty but everything I've had there has been great. Nice atmosphere for upscale casual or date night. No problem getting a table at lunch time.

Upscale dinning with a great atmosphere! The location is a little obscure, but the staff is friendly and the food is fantastic. (You get what you pay for!!) I would give it 4.5 if I could

On the spendy side, however, my fiancee and I were impressed with the quality of service and great food. Must also give a shout out to Sara who helped us. She was knowledgeable, Friendly, and attentive. Definitely will be back.

The steak and hash browns were super, as were our salads. Unfortunately, though, I wiped out really hard on the horseradish crust topping my steak, as it turned out to be cross-contaminated with shellfish, to which I am mildly allergic. So I spent a day and a half after my lovely dinner in the bathroom & in bed. Lesson learned: Ask about what gets prepared together before ordering!

Overall the food was good, but extremely overpriced. Honestly I've had better steaks at much cheaper restaurants... I would have given it 3 stars, if it wasn't for their amazing hash brown potatoes.

Very professional staff and excellent food. You pay for what you get and there food is worth the price.

Wasn't impressed, ordered the aged sirloin rare and should have insisted on it being purple. They put our group of 7 at a table that seated 6, it was quite cramped. The sides were delicious and the staff were friendly albeit maybe a bit slow.

Our server Nancy was so kind. Always a pleasure whenever we visit and the food speaks for itself.

The food was excellent! Giving 4 stars because the wait staff were not masked and the tables were very close and packed.

Had the prime rib with au jus, green bean amandine, and the hash browns blue style. Very rich meal but oh so good. Green beans: enough to serve maybe 3. Hash browns could've fed 6 easily. Prime rib was cooked to perfection. Service was great.

Always a fun place to get a drink.

Service and food were excellent! The steaks were cooked to perfection, our server was on point with everything, and the bartender was very nice to talk with while having drinks after dinner.

Went there for lunch and our waitress was wonderful ! Very welcoming and friendly. She knew everything about the menu, which was very helpful.
She was attentive and respectful. Great personality 😀.
The food was good and portions were good sized . …

I've eaten here three different times. It's pretty good, nothing to write home about. We've tried the sea bass, fillet, mushroom ravioli and the french dip.

Excellent food and an excellent server with a great sense of humor. Every year for my birthday. Tradition.

Fantastic steak house out in the burbs. The scallop benedict is an amazing appetizer and a great way to start your meal. All the steaks have been great, cooked just as asked. Desserts serve 2-3!
