Reviews of NOLO's Kitchen & Bar
Will DeGraw
I've had difficulty figuring out where to begin this review. I reckon it's likely best to begin as most of us do, with breakfast. I have not ever had a breakfast item off the menu that didn't leave me splendidly satisfied. That said, I've never had a pizza nor chicken sandwich that I didn't love either.
One of the biggest reasons why I will keep walking into this restaurant is the customer service. The food could be half as good, and I'd still come just because the staff is hospitable. A secondary reason is that their menu changes throughout the year. I love to see what the leadership and kitchen keep conjuring up!

Nice little place with decent food. Went for Sunday brunch. It's easy to find, but parking can be a nightmare. Our server was very attentive and made sure we were good. I would recommend making a reservation if you want to sit at a table. The food was decent although I was not impressed with the $15 chicken wings. The French toast was delicious! I would visit again and try other menu items.

This is a nice place to go to when you’re in the North Loop area. Service was great and the interiors are beautiful. I knocked off 1 star because the food wasn’t really impressive (especially for the prices). On paper it sounds great, but the execution wasn’t quite there.

Spectacular place! The food was unique and scrumptious. The gluten free pizza was perfect. Highly recommend the expresso creme brulee. Maggie took excellent care of us. She is friendly and up beat and professional. We will definitely be back.

They have a great happy hour; their food rotates a bit. Their grilled shrimp were some of the best I’ve had “up north”. They also have a lobster fried rice which is a perfect small portion and flavorful. They have nicely-sized wine pours and a vibrant energy. A few drinks and happy hour food is typically $20-$40.

This restaurant was suggested by a bartender at another place and was worth the visit. We went on a Tuesday night and a reservation is suggested. My dinner was the coconut curry seafood stew which turned out to be my best meal visiting Minneapolis but I am a big fan of curry. The waitress was great. Good beer list I guess that the IPA crowd hasn't gone that far West which was awesome unlike my own state.

If you need to wait for a table upstairs, I highly recommend going downstairs to their basement bar. Even if you don't drink, there's plenty of seating and space to dance if you're into that! They also play trivia on the TV screens, so it's something fun and easy to pass the time. Even though I went with a large party, the service was very quick and very attentative. It was packed when we went, but they still made time for us. Everyone received their food in a timely manner. Their pasta was okay. I don't think I would get their pasta again as it had a sour taste to it. It's just not my personal cup of tea. However, the pizza is some of the best pizza I have ever had. I would go back just for a slice! I definitely recommend their nachos as well! It's different and a fun twist on a classic Americs dish. Overall, I had a great time at NOLO's!

Wonderful brunch. Potato chips were delicious. Sweet potato hash with poached eggs was so awesome. Avacado toast with red pepper sauce and greens were wonderfully flavorful.
Andrei Anicescu
Staff was very friendly! The atmosphere was modern and chill. Went around happy hour time, the Tito's martini was mostly just Tito's :) . Had to ask for more salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese for my pasta, but that's cause I like my food more spiced. Thankfully the delivered on that.

This place exceeded the reviews. Sometimes it's difficult to put into words the way certain experiences just leave you wishing you could share with your network in person just to see their reactions. This place was spot on from the service to the food. A must stop for any foodie. The Burrata was smooth and so perfect in this appetizer. The pizza crust was crisp and soft all at once. A great slice for those who love the folded slice. I wanted to sample everything on the menu tbh. Job well done to the staff and owner for putting a place like this together.
Josh Kuemmel
Fresh modern and welcoming atmosphere. Perfect for a date night or to meet up with friends. Service was prompt but the food and atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out. Will be back
Felicia
Wonderful happy hour deals with a bright vibe. Also loved the different seating options. Leah made the experience wonderful and clearly loves what she does. Excited to come back here again!

It is a very good place for some nice salads, pizza, burgers and a lot more!
I really love the freshness of all the food the provide here.
The prices are reasonable and the ambiance is very beautiful. They also have a bar in the center and offer a wide variety of beverages.
The service and staff are very nice here. Located right in downtown, it is a very good place to hangout with friends, colleagues, family or even a date!
They also have lots of vegetarian and vegan options for people with different fooding choices.
A must try and a highly recommended place.

My favorite place in the cities!!!
3 of us went to Freehouse first, trying different spots, but waitress there gave us frowns because our bill wasn't big, so we went to NOLO'S, and they didn't disappoint us!
I ordered sprouts and cauliflower. It was SO good and our server rocked! This place is my favorite in the cities.
Michelle Damico
Absolutely delicious breakfast. Plus there were no crowds to wait in line for a table. I loved our meal and our service. Also i should mention, great coffee too, nice and dark roasted. I highly recommend it.
Patrick Kimbrough
Had a great time celebrating Fathers Day here with my family. They had a nice craft drink menu and a good selection on the dinner menu. The burgers were yummy and definitely worth a return trip, alongside a nice big portion of fries. I highly recommend for a date night then visiting some of the surrounding bars afterwards.
Lin Brown
Great food at this place. Faith was a fantastic server and for a weeknight it was very busy. Deviled egg sandwich was to die for. Pizza's and pasta were also amazing!
Robby Dube
Trendy restaurant with a fun vibe located in the core of the North Loop. The drink pours are generous with reasonable prices and the pizzas can easily feed two. A great dinner date spot.
Kaitlyn Meyer
Once again, a great meal and even better service. Brought my husband here and everything was great. Our server annaliese was super attentive and overall made our experience even better. I swear by the fried rice- it is my favorite restaurant dish!
Niki Mackedanz
We recently bought the Minnesota Adventure Bucket List cards and decided to scratch one off for my birthday. We revealed eating a meal at Nolo's and it was the best lunch I've had! I had the chicken and waffle and my boyfriend had the Walleye Sandwich, our only complaints were that this is not closer to where we live.
Charlesa Dixon
Love their duck burger it has always been my go-to; stopped in today for one and it's no longer on the menu. Sucks. I had to settle for a cheeseburger it was decent but not as good as the duck burger. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is always nice. I gave 3 based on taking the duck burger off the menu. :(
Z C
Exceptional. Tempting and varied menu. Fresh, flavorful food. Prompt, pleasant service.
John McDaniel
Fresh and innovative approach to casual American cuisine. The strawberry fennel salad with an added grilled chicken breast was delicious. The atmosphere was old but new in a well repurposed building and the energy was on target. The service was impeccable and the recommendations were thoughtful and knowledgeable.
Dave Meberg
Brunch was fine. Expectations were high due to friend recommendation.
-1 star: No seafood option on menu. I went with chicken sandwich, which was fine.
-1 star: mimosas were a little crazy. All were super pulpy, one was significantly heavy on OJ and tasted off.
Josh Zignego
The salmon and cocktails were very good. The portions were huge.
Lance Custer
Excellent food. We had the French toast (excellent) and the fried rice (unique and also excellent). Very good service, reasonable prices too.
BAYOWORLD
Had to update my review because I went there today and had the salmon burger...
It’s fire! I would definitely have it again...great bun, burger wasn’t dry, great choice of toppings for the inside, and it actually had real spice! I’m impressed af!
Went here previously for brunch and the food was also all pretty good as well as the service....I felt that my party was attended to timely and with care.
The place also has a pretty nice vibe...
I did have to send my fries back for a new back batch cause they tasted a bit burnt, and the eggs were terrible but the French toast was on point and the tacos were good!
Prices are not overly crazy either...
Ashley Davidson
Absolutely delicious! The food is wonderful. We had the lobster bucatini and the roasted chicken radiatori. Both delicious! The service was so friendly and welcoming.
Great atmosphere and aesthetic.
Bryce Howitson
The experience was great, including the staff. Unfortunately the environment has lots of flat surfaces that amplify noise. It was too loud to easily have a conversation. Also the food wasn't anything special or unique. There wasn't any great hook to get me to go back.
Dan Ng
Food was quite nice in this little place. Felt somewhat classier, so we were both glad to dress-up nicer visiting this kitchen. Ambience was nice as you can tell that they took this old building and transformed it to something newer with character. I really liked the dry-rub wings here as that was fantastic.
George Gonnella
We love Nolo for many reasons. Always a lively atmosphere (a bit loud you should be forewarned if that's not your liking), good drinks, great food options. 2 things we love here is the pizza & the Curry seafood stew. Its one of the best simple cheese pies in the area with perfect crust, sauce, cheese combo; and the curry dish is the best item on the menu imo.
Shawn Karber
This was a Sunday brunch destination for us. The food here was great, and the service was wonderful. From the moment you walk in you don't get the vibe that's it a super kid-friendly place, but I will say that having our infant daughter in a stroller went smoother than expected. There was a waiting area while we waited for a table, which only took about ten minutes. Then the host staff stored our stroller for us, and we carried the detachable car seat. We had a booth, and the car seat for very nicely. The wine menu was fun and lovely, while not being overly ostentatious. The food was playful and looked beautiful. Some of the dishes leveraged complexity and layering of flavors to really stand out. The tomato soup, for instance, had amazing depth and the flavor seemed to grow with every tasting. My favorite dish, however, was perhaps the most simple dish we ordered: the shishito peppers. They were crisped to perfection. Slightly salty. Wonderfully sweet. A hint of heat. I had heard good things from my friends that live in the North Loop; but they say everything in the Loop is a gift from God. With a cautious hesitation I must say, Nolo is a great Sunday brunch destination for a couple or a group of friends. Just don't expect it to be the place to take the kids, there isn't much there to entertain them.
Luis Lovato
I have the brunch fried rice and the bloody Mary it was pretty goodif you're going for brunch definitely make reservation wait times for table can be quite long. The deviled egg toast was pretty good also I wasn't into the lobster toast but that's not what I ordered that was something my wife ordered and she liked it.
Joseph Jurek
Desserts are flavorful and unique but honestly that's all that really stood out. We had duck wontons which were actually pretty good along with the bruschetta pizza. But the steak was bland, the burger lacked flavor and nothing really stood out. Honesty don't think this place will last long. Not much more I can say besides that. Restaurant is well designed with a the bar in the middle. Bright, and clean inside with many windows. ($$-$$$)

Six of us had a terrific Saturday brunch here. Most of us got the Breakfast Fried Rice, which I highly recommend. Others got the Breakfast Sandwich which they would recommend. Very good quality for the price! Terrific service. Parking is the usual Minneapolis-find-a-spot-on-the-street deal.
Melissa Odden
We got the French toast, the breakfast fried rice and the country breakfast, and all three were delicious. We also loved their Bloody Mary and bailey’s and coffee.
Yvonne M
First a shout out to Sarah, our server who was fantastic. And then the manager stopped by our table to check IN with us. Great staff who seem to care.
The space is clean and minimalist. The happy hour was decent with good drinks. Nice pour on the wine, which I appreciate. The drinks were great. I'll come back just to try some different drinks. We ordered pizzas off of the happy hour menu. They were just okay. I wouldn't order again. I did see other appetizers at tables next to us that looked great (shrimp tacos, brussel sprouts and cauliflower). I'll come back to try different drinks and some other appetizers.
Parking was difficult but they do offer valet for $8, which is nice. Parking in north loop is always challenging.
Ray klahr
Had an incredibly mediocre brunch there for my birthday. Food wasn’t very flavorful and portions were poor. Service was also slow. I wouldn’t go back
Mister Jon
This is a great spot for lunch, happy hour and/or dinner. Good fresh food. Friendly service. Parking can be difficult. Decent selection of draft beer. Craft cocktails are good. Pricing is reasonable given the quality of food. Portions are larger than you'd expect for a restaurant like this.
Joanna Zacarias
Fries wear delicious- perfectly seasoned. Service was great from beginning to end. The rice with yum yum sauce was tarty when we were expecting yum yum sauce flavor. The breakfast burger was good. Definitely try it once.

UPDATE: On a return trip we discovered a few more favorites to mention. First, is the Crispy Sprouts and Cauliflower that is so flavorful it is probably my favorite thing on the menu. We also love the Deviled Egg Toast App that comes with lightly toasted bread for a delicious starter. The flatbreads continued to be a hit with the Ham and Pineapple with Jalapeños, although the table next to us to ordered the Smoked Chicken flatbread which continually wafted over to our table and filled us with longing for our next trip.
Original review: Not that we needed another reason to love the North Loop, but Nolo's Kitchen and bar gives us one. Replacing hammers and plungers in the old Gardner Hardware building with flat breads and donut holes, Nolo's brings some excellent new American cuisine to Minneapolis. What used to be a dowdy hardware store now welcomes you like a place right out of the better streets in Soho, NY. Bright lights and an open feel remind you that restaurants that survive will provide an experience not just sell food. I think Nolo's gets that. We will see.
As for the food there are many things to like. We loved the Skillet dip with cheesy goodness and juicy pulled pork and the flatbreads with Punch-like dough and unique toppings. We were there for the preview night so not everything was available but all the food that walked by looked like something we wanted to order. Of course, with any new restaurant opening there were a couple things in process like the wings and the donut holes, but I'm sure they will get those to cross over into the great category. There are many things that we would want to return and order from the menu. I would go back for the Skillet dip alone.
There are only two types of restaurants in Minneapolis, great ones and the ones that don't succeed. There is no room for restaurants that are merely good, i.e. the now deceased Coup D'etat. Nolo's has the makings of a great restaurant. I look forward to finding out. Certainly owners Peter Hoff, Marty Collins, and Brett Johnson will give it their best.

Came for here weekend brunch. Instagrammable atmosphere inside, but prices were a little high for what you get. The coffee was good with free refills but had to ask for refills on water and coffee. They were pretty busy so I understood the delay. I had the Tostada which was good, but quite a bit of meat. I could have used more veggies with it instead! My friend got the Breakfast Fried Rice which was very flavorful and great if you like fried rice, but $13 for it seemed a little steep for the bowl of rice and the entrees didn't come with anything on the side. They do have a small parking lot in the side alley which you can park in for brunch, but I don't think you can once valet starts in the evening. Friendly service and there is bar sitting as well.
Patrick Anglim
Went after Vikings game. Staff super friendly and held our reservation do to the it at the game. Everyone enjoyed the food.
Ryan Larson
Had an excellent dinner here lately with friends. The staff was great as well. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous.
Some standouts from the menu were the Egg Salad appetizer and the Ribs were excellent. Pricing seemed fair for the area and the quality of food and drinks.
Would definitely come back.
Stephen Choukalas
The breakfast fried rice beckoned again. Who am I to resist? The devil egg toast also put up a convincing argument too. This is one of our favorites for brunch and and fine cocktail. The service has always been great and has the extra something. We mentioned we were splitting the rice and it was brought out in separate bowls for each of us. It is the little things.
Pro tip: there is a small side lot if there is no street parking.
Tiffany Morgan
Went for brunch! Great decision!
Dr. Mia Su Cary she, her
Big fan of Nolo's Kitchen & Bar! The king crab and pasta entree was delightful and the best part of the meal was the brussel sprouts and cauliflower app. Or wait, the peach sangria, that was definitely the best part!
Jesse Deol
Needs more artistic touch and color...industrial look is boring. Food options are tasty and varied. Could be so much better!
Janavi
Enjoyed our first dining experience at nolo's, recently. The small plates we had were delicious and the pasta entrees were also top notch! Recommend this place.
Slsclimbhgts Minneapolis
Wild rice turkey meatballs and Brussels sprout/ cauliflower were delicious. Service was adequate, couldn't get bartenders attention when I wanted.
Yuriy Gula
Awesome atmosphere. Very clean. The set up is very welcoming. Staff is nice. Food was very delicious, and came out decently fast. Very happy with my experience, I'll be back soon.
Denise Randall
Food was so delicious! Perfectly seasoned definitely will be returning.

It was a very great place to eat and chat with friends or family, not only does the place accommodate to your needs but also have great workers to make you feel at ease. The food was LITERALLY out of this world. Words can’t explain how the food tasted. I would like to recommend this restaurant to everyone who visits MN or if you’re a local. Best experience I have had in a while :)

Really good food and service. The atmosphere is so nice and it’s a cute place. Really good pastas and pizza.
Ryan Leach
Fantastic food and drinks for brunch. Got a screwdriver with a hefty pour and crunchy breakfast tacos. The taco shell was light and airy which pared well with the jalapenos and creme sauce. 10/10 would get again.
Del O'Loughlin
My wife and I stopped here for breakfast. My wife had the Breakfast Fried Rice, which she was not very impressed by. She said there did not seem to be any bacon or breakfast sausage, that it was mostly just rice and yum yum sauce, and it could have used more salad to cut the saltiness. I had the chicken and waffle, which was tasty, but the chicken portion was pretty tiny. I am going to try to replicate the waffle, though, as it was very good. We probably will not be back, but we might just not be the target audience.
Jess Bramstedt
Nice little place in Minneapolis. Lots of options to choose from for food, wait staff were very friendly, and food got out to our group quickly!
Laura Graves
Great atmosphere and great happy hour!
Went for happy hour which ends at 5:30, but great happy hour food!
The dry rub wings were hot and juicy! 😋 …
Jennifer Balagot
Nice atmosphere, food was very good and affordable pricing.
Brett McGraw
Nolo's was a mixed bag. Not bad, not great but ultimately not somewhere we will return to.
Service was 3.5-4 stars. Call for reservation went well. Walked in and they sat us right away. Server, and runners were all pleasant. They just did not come back often enough to fill water, take additional drink orders. Could be a little more attentive.
Food was also mixed. I had the Coconut Curry Sea Food Stew which was incredible. From the rest of our party the Turkey Burger and Tuna Crudo were decent, the Scrimp Scampi was a total let down. Only a couple large shrimp and a pile of noodles with no sauce or flavor. Chocolate cake was good but creme brulee was cold and we had to send it back to have them hit it with the touch again as when they brought it out it was barely browned.
For a place with a very limited menu you'd think they would be able to hit all the notes. In the end though the reason we won't be back was the atmosphere. Very loud, lacked any kind of ambiance and just not our cup of tea. With so many good restaurants to choose from Nolo's won't get a second chance.
Rick Delmonico
Their most popular item is a rip-off of the In-n-Out burger, which is genius considering you can’t get it in Minnesota. The burger itself was quite fantastic and a solid mirror of the famous west coast burger. The fries were equally good, but the wings were over seasoned and dry. The drinks were solid, waitress was great, space is pretty, location is hip, but overall it felt a little generic.
Salika Pao
Great vibes.
Amazing food.
Perfect waitress.
Craig Larson
Wow. So good!
4/14/2022: Troy is the best! Food and drinks fantastic as usual!
Kristen L. Matulis
NOLO’s Kitchen & Bar is so cute! It’s a great spot in North Loop for cocktails + great food!
Rob Link
Good food. Service was slow and they weren't super busy.
Nicholas Thomas
Great food. Okay service. A lot of employees standing around catches my attention when I have to wait for service. A bit overly rich on each plate.
Chloe
atmosphere is always fun! They were able to take our larger party no problem. The cocktails were great too. Only downside was some of the food that we got. The entrees are pretty spendy for the portion sizes ($23 shrimp scampi that was half a bowl of spaghetti noodles and 4 subpar shrimp) and everything was in desperate need of some salt just for some form of flavor.
Sara Cudemo
Cute vibe but was pretty loud for a 7 pm dinner. Music didn’t quite match the aesthetic. Drinks were good but food was okay for the price.
Clare Fritsch
Amazing experience!! My sister said the last time she was here her server was rude, but our server Leah was on top of absolutely everything (I’m in the service industry and she did everything right). The food was great and came out quickly.
Stephen Lawson
Lovely server. Then food was good and reasonable for downtown Mpls Then menu was extensive but it did have some some good choices.
John Beale
The food is Good, menu fairly uncomplicated, good modern American fair, cocktails with a heavy hand, decor by pier1imports. Good service and friendly staff, but my eyes hurt from the lack of any interior design.
Jonathan Robinson
In Brief: Awesome food, great drinks, and really fantastic service!
In Detail: I stopped by alone and ate at the bar to give the place a try. The menu at first glance seemed fine but at deeper glance I really struggled to pick something as a whole number of the options with their detail and mixed flavors all seemed tempting. My bartender was incredibly helpful both on drinks and food. I ended up getting the duck burger complimented the avacado soup and an order of the roasted mushrooms and farrow. My expert behind the bar suggested I add avacado to the burger and she was spot on! The burger was incredibly delicious, sweet, and savory all at the same time. I could have eaten a second on the spot! The avacado soup was also spot on. Creamy, cold and incredibly delicious. Topped with roasted corn and peppers it was a perfect for any summer day! The roasted farrow, kale and mushrooms was good, had a nice spin with chopped asparagus and shredded cheese. While I enjoyed it, the ratio of farrow to other things seemed a little overwhelming in the farrow side. I could have wished for more of the other things, especially the mushrooms and asparagus. Needless to say it was still really good but it paled compared to my burger and soup. All in all this is a place I'll come back to and be excited to take others!
Aaron Bjorkstrand
Those cauliflower and sprouts with the champ sauce. Watch out. Gnocchi was gr8 too. Service top notch. Return visit in line.
Chris Birkholm
Service here is always really friendly and the food is good. It is priced well and is a great option in the Loop when you don't want to go somewhere too fancy but you still want a nice ambiance and quality food. The ribs are especially good with a nice little kick. We had a great time.
Caleb Osborn
Best brunch in the North Loop. Really great service and best endless mimosas for the price! Highly recommend the egg sandwich on the brunch menu and the breakfast bowl. Both items I have had numerous times and will have again in the future!
Eric Luoma
Stopped in for our first visit for a late lunch because we had a City Tins coupon to use. We had the deviled egg toast ( very good) Turkey Bahn Mi (good) and the Cheeseburger (good). I honestly was hoping to love the burger but it fell short for me. It was well cooked that made for a bit more of a chew than I like in a burger if that makes sense. I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked so I assume that's how they do it. I saw them making pasta from scratch as we ate and I really want to come back and try that! All in all I would like to come back and give the burger another shot and definitely try some pasta!
Robert Bogott
Great food and service. Our first visit and the wait staff made us feel right at home.
Sheila Machacek
Friendly and super efficient staff. Loved the grilled shrimp and short rib fried rice!
Yogi
My first time here, last Thursday, this place is a while vibe. Shout out to the bartender's playlist, cheers!! This place is now on radar❤️❤️💯💯👍🏾
Olga Kovaleva
Truly outstanding service! The host went out of his way to get us seated without a reservation on a Friday night. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and refilled our drinks before we even got a chance to ask her. The first drink that my boyfriend ordered didn't really match his taste and the waitress took it off our bill and brought a different one, which we thought was a very kind gesture.
The scallops are usually hard to get done right, but the ones I ordered tasted amazing. All the food in general was enjoyable and flavorful. Good menu selection, cozy ambiance and nice music - loved everything about this place. Highly recommend!
Dan Zabrowski
Really friendly staff, really tasty food. I splurged on the steak and my god... it was amazing. It was pretty crowded and reservations are definitely needed.
annabanana
My friends and I had a good time at Nolo's. It was fairly spendy but the food was pretty darn good! The ambiance was lively and fun. I would come back.
MikeStup
The only downside to NOLO's is how busy it always is, which in turn can overwhelm the waitstaff. With that being said, by far one of the better restaurants in northloop for <$30/person. Staff is friendly and the food is quick, with very well mixed drinks. I highly reccomend the homemade potato chips with creme freche and prosciutto!
Gus Anchondo
Delicious! Cast iron dip was fantastic. I sat next to the kitchen and about 3of4 plates were burgers. Of course I had to try it to see all the fuss? Well worth it! Loved it! Cocktails were fun and fruity. Try the Montana.
Marcus Rodgers
Service was phenomenal, restaurant is in a converted washing machine factory. The Curry Seafood stew and veggie fried rice egg rolls were delicious
Rolando Villagomez
We went to Nolo's on Mother's Day during brunch. They had a good selection of cocktails. I enjoyed the French 75. Very fresh tasting drinks that are quite refreshing. They do interesting things with breakfast. Like an egg, kale, rice stir fry which was quite good (see the pic). I had the acai yogurt bowl which was pretty good but did not look like the pictures online that look like they were posted by the restaurant which present the bowl very loaded with granola, coconut, and fruit. What I got was a huge bowl of yogurt and maybe 30% of the toppings in the online photo. That was a let down. The nutella waffle was nice. You can try this place if you want to see a different spin on favorites but I could also see people being disappointed by the portion sizes. They are decent but they look small on the plates. If you are the curious foodie type you could find something interesting here but if you are looking to get something hearty you may want to try this place when your appetite isnt quite that large.
Hayly Feist
Absolutely to die for breakfast fried rice! So delicious! I will be back over and over again to eat this. I also enjoyed the mimosa and the service was great!!
Amber Ooley
The food, drinks and company we're exactly what I needed on a Sunday morning! I would recommend the French Toast, but everything I saw looked amazing. They also have bottomless mimosas and tasty bloody Mary's!
Danielle Allgood
We went here for our annual Holiday Happy Hour - not only were the hours of happy hour and the specials amazing, but the drinks and food were too! I was BLOWN AWAY. Drinks delicious, food stupendous! PLUS they were playing the legit Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 soundtrack our entire visit and our server/bartender was Mac Miller’s doppelgänger. The best experience I’ve had in a while and I work in a bar, I’m hard to please. I was very pleased. Highly, highly recommend.

Wonderful service! The acai bowl was delicious. Hubby had the French toast which was also beautifully prepared and pure comfort.
Alexandra Reasoner
Nolos has such a sweet, cozy atmosphere and wonderful service! They offer really tasty appetizers and delicious pizza! A must try if you find yourself in the north loop! If you're looking for a good red wine, I'd definitely recommend the durant & booth cabernet sauvignon.
todd pfeilsticker
Wow. The caramel roll was the absolute best I've ever had. We will go back just for that. The rest of our meal was great too but the caramel roll is a must.
Ellie P.
Phenomenal service (thank you Christian), delish food and excellent cocktails! A great bar and dinner spot in the heart of the north loop!
Aaron Rickard
Good food with really good presentation. Burger, and pizzas are tasty, and served quick.
Ian L
Just rode past and looked like my kind of place. Simple, modern. Great food, I am chomping on the crab bucantini, very el Dante and tasty. Generous portion, reasonable prices, good service, great setting, good muzak, what more can I ask for?
Morgan Berry
In town for business meeting & ballgame and swung by Nolos before. Cold beer, great service, and the potato chips appetizer was delightful.
Ryan Harbst
The food here is very good, nice ambiance as well. It can be pretty loud, but not too bad.
Natalie J
My friends and I went for a birthday dinner, it was overall a very good experience.
I made a reservation online, then a week before I got an email saying it was canceled out of the blue. I made another reservation online for a different time pretty easily. When we got there a manager came and asked why we made two reservations and if we needed to keep them. It was a little off putting but I let them know about the email and it seemed to be fine.
We had the burrata, ham and arugula pizza, gnocchi and pappardelle pasta, and salads. The pizza was a table favorite. The cocktails were well worth it, there was one with egg whites that was delicious, their take on a french 75 was amazing. We didn’t try one we didn’t love. Our server was very kind and attentive, she was helpful and patience with one allergy.
It was a fun experience and definitely would recommend to friends.
Lauren Riggs
The food is fine, the menu is small, the drinks and cocktails are great! The atmosphere is fun and trendy. My biggest complaint is that if you go on the weekend, especially later in the evening, you’re sharing the bathroom with people who are there to Club (the rooftop and basement bar are in the same building). Probably wouldn’t go again on a weekend evening for those reasons unless I’m trying to go out after😂
Ann Tienor
Amazing breakfast! Service is friendly and great. They get their breakfat potatoes so crisp; they're great! You must get the breakfast fried rice; it's so delicious and filling. I asked for the bacon on the side so I can titrate the bacon as I go. Avocado toast was to die for with the calabrian chili. they KNOW how to do a sunny side up egg so that it still oozes without any uncooked egg white. Highly recommend you all go!
FightsWithASword
Fantastic atmosphere. The chicken pasta and tortilla soup was absolutely delicious.
Brittany Brama
Have done both dine in and take out here, plus all meal times/menus. First, I couldn’t love the staff more - always on their game, really professional and work with whatever size party we had or circumstances (wheelchair or stroller, for example). Food is always good - I love the fried rice, short rib tacos, kale Caesar; but honestly, I’ve loved everything. It’s hard to find, and this place hits the mark - I guarantee you’ll enjoy yourself AND like what you order
Todd Jelinski
Nice atmosphere. Food was excellent. Not the most extensive menu on a week night, but the party I was with, everyone enjoyed their meal and said the food was good. The bar was lacking. Two of my sons ordered a drink only to learn they were without an ingredient, and it was a drink the restraint is apparently known for. Then my one son ordered an alternative drink, a mimosa, and was not impressed. Must have been an off night for the bar as my son has been to this restaurant many times and highly recommended it. So again, must have been an off night for the bar. The food was great. I would recommend people give it a try.
Adam Green
Hosted a happy hour here. Great food, friendly staff, positive atmosphere.
Thar Jor'dan
Just had Labor Day Brunch with some girlfriends and our server was Leah — she was absolutely AMAZING!!!! In addition to the great food and drinks, it was the best service we’ve had in a very long time and we go out several times a week. Absolutely wonderful waitress, we’ll be back again!
Lee “Whickedpisser” Austin
My new favorite place. The food is so yummy. Good portions. Very knowledgeable staff. Enjoyable atmosphere.
Wilson Karlstrom
Great brunch experience, got the fried rice and the French toast, both fantastic. Kind of wished the fried rice was a bit bigger, but overall no complaints. Note to self for next time, they serve nolo food on the rooftop bar as well, definitely gonna take advantage of that next time!
Kris Krager
Drinks were good. Breakfast fried rice was $15 but good. Service was nice. Place was clean. But $63 for three drinks and some fried rice is pretty expensive.
gerard westrup
The breakfast bowl was great. Our server was fantastic.
Mike Crawford
Great food wonderful staff would eat here every chance I get. The warn peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and donuts with raspberry sauce is to die for.
Vanessa Knott
If you haven't been here yet - you're missing out! Incredible food (have you tried the Breakfast Fried Rice?!?!) and super fun atmosphere. The staff is warm, welcoming, and highly skilled. Highly recommend as a date night with your significant other, brunch with your gal pals and anywhere in-between! It's perfect for any event or time of the day. Enjoy a crafty cocktail and prepare yourself for an amazing meal! ENJOY!
Natatia Frame
I went to Nolo's ottomless mimosas on Sunday in the basement. Had a great time. The bartender Caroline was very attentive and great energy.
Jaime Bergren-Hanish
Accommodating staff, super fun vibe for date night. The bar! It’s so fun! Really great food, reasonable prices. We will be a regular.
Marwa Antar
This place is incredible!!! The food and delicious and the service is amazing. The place it’s self is very cute and Instagram worthy . We went with some friends to celebrate my birthday and I absolutely loved it. We ended up getting the Pluncher Salmon, the marinara pizza, the beef pastas and the lobster pasta. And everything was delicious.
Reggie Domineck
Great service! Great atmosphere! Burger was good ! Have to come back for brunch!
James Sharpe
Super service, food and servers! Great menu and happy hour 😊
Ritesh Patel
Decent lunch place. I was impressed with the service! The food is good, but nothing to write home about.
Sophie Parris
Went two Sundays in a row for Brunch. Absolutely excellent both times. Only suggestion would be to add an espresso machine. Our table was sorely disappointed to learn we couldn't have a latte.
Jess Montgomery
Fun atmosphere and an upscale vibe. Stopped in for happy hour and stayed for way longer than we planned. Troy made sure to take care of us, the service was exceptional!
Mel Gugala
Amazing! Great prices for wonderful food! We went during happy hour and just had a wonderful time! The waitstaff was so kind and lovely and the food came out quick and very tasty. I can see why it was highly recommended
Valerie Langenfeld
Excellent service and food! We stopped in for a quick bite before another appointment and our server was very attentive and food was delivered right away along with our drinks. We got the brussel sprouts, the burrata, and for drinks the negroni and the La Chapa. All delicious. We were happily in and out within 1 hr.
Erik Paul Leff
I hit this spot up for a Friday happy hour while visiting a friend in MSP. Great North Loop location.... good crowd... and very friendly bartending staff. Def. recommend grabbing a drink or two here while exploring this part of downtown MSP.
Elise Davis
Friends and I had a late lunch there yesterday and I was very disappointed in the food. After reading the positive reviews I was looking forward to something special. I had the Cobb salad and they had chopped everything and instead of arranging the various ingredients on the plate they mixed them all together and piled it on the plate in a heap. The salad tasted OK, but the appearance was very unappealing. Sad to say, I won't return.
Vincent Duncan
Nolo's kitchen and bar is a great place to grab a bite and drinks in Minneapolis North Loop . Great happy hour and fun environment. Definitely recommend dropping in!
Todd Lucht
For a quick bite, this can't be beat. Staff was friendly and the food was good.
Shaylyn Hines
Pretty good. Atmosphere is great. Cocktails about average for the area. Prices are very high but food is, again, pretty good. Definitely been to better in other states! I think they'd benefit from a totally locally sourced menu and maybe a bit more attention to detail on each dish. Vegan choices are a must for the area but are very few. We went for dinner, maybe breakfast is better!
doc fnp93
Amazing!!! I cannot rave enough about this place and our server Christian was amazing! He was so kind and personable! Definitely made the night memorable. Also... the mussels... oh my goodness. They’ll make you literally want to LICK THE PLATE CLEAN! We will definitely be back. Such a beautiful vibe, great music, and great food. You can’t beat it.
Keroloss “Kero” Honain
Food is delicious. Very nice atmosphere and especially nice staff. I have been here several times, they never disappoint
Corey Flath
Honestly? I liked their drinks and the staff was great, but the food? Average, at best. We had the bucatini and the gnocchi and while I would not call either of these items "bad" they simply were not our jam. I personally think they are trying so hard to be different that they lost sight of what makes great food. I'd go there for drinks, but would pass on the food.
K. Dorsher
Fantastic people, food and service. No parking tho but menu makes it worth it
Adam Murray
Always overwhelmed by the food here. Happy hour nibbles are excellent and the chicken sandwich is my favorite. Just a very reliable place for food and a drink. Nothing pretentious, just comfortable and satisfying. Service is not always consistent, but nothing to be upset about - perhaps just have that expectation going in.
Steve H
Absolutely fantastic experience at Nolo's for their Sunday brunch. The wife and I split french toast and the fried chicken sandwich as we could not decide on just one thing. Both were delicious, the french toast were large enough to be delightfully fluffy on the inside yet appropriately sized for a meal.
The chicken sandwich is our favorite, we actually came just for the chicken sandwich as we had seen it in passing a few nights before. They managed to combine deliciously breaded chicken with their house made herb mayo and cucumbers that make it not nearly as heavy as many other establishments.
We are now trying to come up with excuses to find our way into the North loop to enjoy more of the Nolo experience. Highly recommend it.
Melinda Rieck
The chicken and biscuit meal was good The biscuit was very dense but delicious, the Ethiopian tacos were delicious We got both and split and it was fantastic a great decision. The atmosphere music and decor was absolutely lovely
Laura Ivanova
Such a great experience here - thank you Nolo's Kitchen! I planned a bachelorette party brunch here, and everyone was SOOOO accommodating. It's a great spot for a group! The service was spectacular and so attentive. We had a member or a group with a severe allergy and we also appreciate the staff being extra helpful, and cautious, with that. The food was great and I loved my Bloody Mary - so yummy! Oooh, and the French toast was 10/10. Highly recommend this spot!!
Charles Zee
The walleye sandwich was not bad. Add a soup and you have a great lunch.
Jon Gerster
I went here for the first time a few weeks ago for brunch on a Saturday. Highly recommend for a group gathering. Food, service, drinks, and the environment were great. Parking can be a pain because it's the North Loop.
Andrew Erickson
Staff we're great. Uninspiring is all I can say. Food was meh, stale environment. On a positive, Bloodies were good. Price suggested high end, but a mid-range place at best.
Meaghan Boutwell
Calamari was good. We took a chance and ordered pasta even though it looked like the burgers and pizza were the way to go when it came to dinner orders. Both the short rib pasta and lobster pasta were just ok.
Pieter K
Vibrant restaurant, great place to have dinner. Vegetarian pasta was OK not special. Prices are reasonable.
Lucas Struck
This review focuses on the weekend brunch specifically. The space is comfortable, bright and well appointed. It's an enjoyable environment for a breakfast alone or with friends. The actual menu is limited as NOLO's brunch seems to not be their primary focus. The few things they do have on offer are high quality and service is efficient.
Yann Mulonda
Not enough options on the menu but overall good food.
Daniel Green
I must start by saying our waitress Gina was extraordinarily kind and attentive. My newlywed wife and I were here for breakfast the day after our wedding. During very friendly and courteous conversation Gina took note of our celebrations and really made the breakfast a special occasion and celebration for us. We couldn't have imagined better service and would just like to thank her and the restaurant for such a wonderful experience. It really made our day! Additionally the food was really delicious and the ambiance top notch. Thank you Nolos and thank you especially Gina!
Jose Troche
The service food and drinks were excellent, Cobb salad, filet mignon, turkey meatloaf, rib pappaella and a mushroom sandwich. Dinner for six with drinks and a hefty tip was 213.00. but well worth it hope to go again on my next visit to the twin cities.
Charles Lord
Fantastic little bar and restaurant. The staff are fantastic! We took a group of 10 there and the service was exceptional. My only complaint is that I ate way too much great food...
Jayde Moon
For the price of the burger it was kinda 🤷whatever. But the service was awesome! I think Maggie? Was the girl who took my order over the phone, she was energetic and quick with the business. Made the process of ordering and picking up quick, simple, and stress free! So bravo Maggie!! (I hope that's her name) …
Kirstin Sinner
My husband and I visited for drinks and an appetizer at the bar. We loved the ambiance of the lounge/restaurant and the bartenders were pleasant and friendly. The drinks were great and we really enjoyed our shrimp salsa. We’re excited to go back for both drinks at the bar and a full dining experience in the restaurant!
Bobbie Burgess
I loved this place. They had great food, good atmosphere and the service was excellent!
McKenzie Stouffer
Awesome brunch! Bright light and fun atmosphere! Only walk-in reservations but I can see why it’s always poppin.
Scott
Great food, really liked the chicken. Amazing service as well. Large portions, so sharing is an option.
Chloe_porter13
Their burger is probably one of the best in the city.
Tom Peets
Great place to hang out in North Loop and have some food and drinks with some friends.
Erin Fox
Mimosas were great, food was even better!
Evan Andrew
Pretty solid food but it gets super loud in the restaurant so it's hard to have a conversation. Great drinks and it looks beautiful.
Tony Ghilani
This place was incredible. Such a cool, calm, relaxed atmosphere. The natural light pours in off the busy surrounding streets over an inviting centrally located bar. Surrounded by a mix of low and high tables and various types of soft seating as well. The food was fantastic. Great sandwiches and wood fired pizza. Wonderfully done - a repeat stop for sure!
Alan Holliday
Service was fantastic.
Drinks were good.
My meal was good, just a little on the dry side.
Jennifer Bunn
This is a great place to meet friends and enjoy an amazing meal and have a fun cocktail. The staff was amazing! The food excellent! A+
Geralyn Murphy
Food was good and our server was kind and efficient. Nice atmosphere in the warehouse district. I would recommend it.
Michelle Fink
Loved this place. Very cute decor. It's attached to the basement bar. The gnocchi pasta was amazing and so was the duck burger. My husband kept trying to steal bites of the ricotta gnocchi dish though - seriously, so good!
Josh
The lunch I had, the walleye sandwich with fries, was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The sandwich portion was generous but lacked pizzazz. Their fries are seasoned but I found myself missing Red Cow's house made ketchup. Beyond the food, the ambiance was nice and Waverly provided excellent service.
Overall I was expecting a more unique taste for my money.
Mark
A great new addition to the North Loop dining experience. I had the Vegetable hot dish and was amazed at the perfect flavors to make this both gourmet quality and comfort food. My wife had the Veggie flatbread, same thing, couldn't be better! We shared a side of crispy Brussels sprout leaves with cauliflower in a sweet savory sauce, again it was like nothing else.
Everything is very affordable!
You must try this wonderful place.
Update on 2-22-19 Great meal tonight, this place has really found their groove. Had the Chicken in wine sauce, Masa Crepe, sticky toffee desert. Wow!! Every dish was perfect, great service! Must try this place and you will be back on a regular basis!
John McKinley
This place has some really happy hour food. The man and cheese is good and the variance off the menu is nice. One complaint is that the interior looks like an Ikea display, not really a welcoming restaurant. Parking is on the street which can be a hassle. I have been 3 times and each time the service was complete different. Also breakfast is a bust at this place. There are much better breakfasts in downtown for sure.
Alexandria Rick
This place is pretty tasty. It's rather expensive. The wait staff is very nice and the decor is light and comfortable. You need to park on the street but that's typical in the warehouse district. This place is also surprisingly kid friendly. It is slightly noisy but not too bad. You'll still be able to hear people at your table. The brunch is delicious. I'd recommend the king crab avocado toast if you want something light or the breakfast fried rice.
Danni P
Beautiful restaurant with a great food select. Everything was delicious. Super nice and knowledgeable wait staff. Definitely coming back.
Van Tran
The Ambiance is beautiful, airy and modern. The service is on point and friendly. Cocktails are above average and reasonable. Where it fails, is the food. We ordered quite a few dishes from roast beef sandwich, duck burger to jack fruit salad/ gnocchi pasta dish... All were below average/bland and forgettable. I don't know what it is lately, but there seems to be a recent spawn of restaurants that focus mostly on aesthetics/ drinks and a lot less on the actual food itself, especially in classic American fare. Tip: Skip dinner here unless you don't care about the food and just want to be seen in another beautiful trendy hot spot. I suggest you just drop by for happy hour or go for just drinks and apps.
Andrew K
I give it four stars because I've been here twice and every thing's been very very good...except for the gnocchi dish. It was very oily- swimming in it. But it seemed to be that's the way that dish is. But after looking at the pictures on here, I found the same dish and looked much better! No pool of oil. When I asked and showed the gentlemen who was taking our plates he seemed to not care or understand much. But he did offer me if I wanted something else at the end (like he felt he had to), and walked away. Other than that, I do recommend!
Kevin Francis
This week I had both happy hour and brunch at Nolos. It never disappoints. I bring friends here from out of town regularly and have always had a fantastic experience. Kudos to the team and especially the very attentive general manager! Already looking forward to my next visit!
Manie P
Great breakfast spot with some awesome values and very cutely designed in the North Loop neighborhood.
Sasha Alasia
Yummy drinks and delicious food but the reason for the 4 stars is the service. I was here for my cousin’s bachelorette party and our waitress just never came to our table, causing us to have to ask for her multiple times throughout the night. Lots of dirty plates and empty glasses which could have been filled... I would be open to trying this place again though.
Cynthia Kunakom
The restaurant is right in downtown. The place itself if very nicely designed! The staffs are wonderful with great customer service. The price is on the high end but the food, my gosh that double patty cheeseburger, is AMaAaAzing!! Their side house salad is also very delicious. I don't usually like ordering salad, but THAT salad is something!
brenda s
Great service starting w/waitstaff and including attentive mgr...both females were great. The food and drinks outstanding. Apps: roasted cauliflower, deviled egg toast and corn. Entrees: 1/2 chicken, wallet sandwich & fries, carbonara and roast beef sandwich. Drinks were interesting and delicious as well. Highly recommend this place for casual or celebrating something special.
Thomas Sanders
Ordered dinner via a felivery app. Even though the food had to travel a way to get to us it arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. The tomato soup was fantastic the same for the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. You could taste and even feel the high quality of the meat in the hamburger. Wow!
laura h
Mixed feelings! The first time I went the food was terrible but the second time was incredible. We had the duck burger which was amazing as well as some egg bruschetta. The flatbreads both times were really flavorless so I would stay away from those. The cocktails also weren't anything to write home about but a nice atmosphere.
Renee Hill
Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff. Food was wonderful.. had the special of the day, walleye sandwich with jalapeno tartar sauce.. all made in house. Beef chili, not ground beef, but chunks of beef, with cornbread croutons. Had a piece of cheese pizza. Can't wait to go back and check out the night life in the basement.
Connie Wanek
We had a wonderful meal here! Generous portions, and everything reflects great care in choosing top ingredients, so that every dish that arrived was consumed with gusto. The fries are incredible! We had lunch, but I want to come for breakfast.
Jeff Larson
Love the atmosphere of this restaurant. Cool renovated building and very warm on the inside. Lunch was great! Had the steak salad. Cooked and prepared perfectly. Will have to swing back for dinner sometime.
CJR
The burger was delicious and the service was great!
Timothy McFadden
Solid food, pizza was excellent, bloody mary very yummy.
Good selection on tap and cocktails are reasonably priced for the location.
Happy hour not to miss.
Lori Lewis
Super fun rooftop bar with an amazing bartender (Caroline). She provided us with excellent service and went above and beyond!
S Chang
Nolo's is a aesthetically pleasing, upscale, but casual restaurant. The menu is very simple, not too much a variety to overwhelm you to decide what you want. They have burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, some apps. The food is well-priced for the quality and location of the restaurant.
I have only been there once on a Sunday evening, it was quiet and comfortable. The room wasn't crowded and the ambiance was relaxed. Service was attentive and kind; food was quick to come out after we placed our order.
The only bad thing I have to say is that the booth that we sat at was uncomfortable for me. I am a very short 5'3 making my feet unable to reach the floor, leaving my legs dangling = uncomfortable. I should've asked to move to a different table, but we weren't planning on staying for drinks. I knew it was going to be a quick in-and-out. Next time, I'll make sure to ask for somewhere more comfortable.
Parking in downtown is to be expected, street parking. I think they are building a ramp nearby, but most people either live in the area or Uber/Lyft. It wasn't too hard on a Sunday evening to find parking right in front of the restaurant. I would try to avoid finding street parking, unless if it is absolutely necessary, on a Friday/Saturday evening/night.
Nick MN
Our favorite place in MPLS. The only criticism: the menu is small. Now, that also could be received as a compliment, as overly big menus are the worst! 2-3 more options would be great. I highly recommend nolos - the atmosphere is fun/trendy, staff is great, and you just kind of can’t leave in a bad mood. Thanks for creating a fun atmosphere!
Morgan Niemeyer
Tried NOLO's for lunch today. I will be back. I will be back a lot. We had the cast iron dip to start which was delicious and very well complemented by their in house hot sauce. Followed by the smoked chicken pizza, which is probably some of the best crust I've had. I also had their lemonade which was tart and flavorful. The portion sizes were great which can be rare in the area. Definitely worth the trip.
Senga McGinnis
Great food, great cocktails, great service. This was my first time here and I will definitely come back!
Lyfe M
Yummy yummy yum that’s all I have to say! The Jasmine rice is great the French toast is wonderful, atmosphere is comfortable. I will be back very soon!
tj III
Wow! What a great experience enjoying the vegetarian options Nolo had to offer. The Vegetable Hot Dish was excellent! The Avocado was excellent. The cauliflower was excellent.
The place was very busy yet we were able to nestle in at the bar area and the way the crew worked the room it didn’t seem crowded. Our server had a nice personal touch.
Well done Nolo!!
Tom Cameron
Spacious clean dinning area and nice big bar. Limited menu choices but the food was excellent.
Alissa Tillotson
We love this place! The apple cheddar salad is so good. We got takeout last night and enjoyed everything we ordered and the food traveled well. Highly recommend, great place to support!
Kristen Denzer
After discovering Parlour some years back, I never thought I'd meet another burger as delicious. That was until I had Nolo's burger. I bookmarked it after seeing it listed on a best MN burger list. I've gone multiple times now, and can say without a doubt this is the best burger in Twin Cities - if not Minnesota. The double patties with deliciously melted cheese are perfectly seasoned. The only bummer was their french fries - just meh - but they let you choose salad or soup in their place, so I tried their tomato basil which is spot on. If you enjoy cocktails, I've had Rosemary's Baby every time I've gone, it's refreshing and unique and can recommend for those that enjoy gin and vodka. I'm not typically a big gin drinker, more of a vodka girl, but this drink could turn anyone into a gin fan!
EDIT (9/8/20): Still hands down my favorite burger in town - and their friends are better now!! They updated their fries to be deliciously seasoned making this an all-around five star meal. I door dash this burger to my office at least monthly and am so glad they are still open with everything going on!
Joe Kerkering
Good food and drinks. Can get very crowded and very loud.
K S
Service and food was on point. The tacos really stood out for me.
Hobie Perry
Ours was definitely NOT the sandwich promised in the Strib review. The fish was well prepared, but there was only the thinnest smear of aioli and a few whisps of slaw. The celery was missing in action. Disappointing.
Paige Clark
The atmosphere and service here was great! Sadly the food and drinks were over priced and forgettable. I had a glass of wine and the gnocchi. The gnocchi was about half the portion I expected and was about $20. For a $40 meal I left looking for another place to eat and grab a quick drink.
Cynthia Mejia
Tried the rooftop out for the first time today and they stopped serving the slushees at 4pm but they close at 9pm and the bartender served the customer before me the slushee but decided to shut it down after her. I chose this spot because my cousin was in town and I wanted him to get the slushee but that didn’t work out. Slushees should be available during their entire business hours especially if there was slushee left in the machine.
Kya Tatnall
We love Nolo's! We've been here multiple times for brunch and dinner and love the cool, modern vibe and the delicious food! Our favorites are the dry rub wings, the breakfast fried rice, the tostada, the smoked chicken pizza, and the duck burger!
Jason Reimringer
Extremely diverse menu Great atmosphere. I got the breakfast fried rice which was way more than what I expected for a portion size so I definitely got a lot to take home.
Heather Kraemer
Sahara was AMAZING!!!! This was my first time here and she made it 10x better. The food was so great, the place itself is incredibly cute, and Sahara was lovely! Would definitely recommend!
Roshan Rajkumar
Pam is a great GM. She made our growing group feel like we should be there. Rachel or server never missed a beat with great support from her runners. Cocktail were tasty and powerful. Cheeseburger competes with Parlours epic burger. We will be back! Great new player on Washington Ave.
Jess Birken
Excellent service from staff, menu is awesome. Try the crispy chicken sandwich. Prosecco on tap.
Tyler Bussian
Pricey breakfast (nothing out of the norm for downtown Minneapolis), but an absolutely fantastic meal. The Greyhound was really refreshing and balanced, and the tostada was delicious. Definitely going to try and come back!
Jenna Kurzeka
I wanna give it 3.5 stars. Thought it was pretty good. Had "the cheeseburger" which is a double cheeseburger with fixings. Friend had the chicken pizza... Can't remember what it's called.. she was like meh. My burger was good but very very saucey, good thing I'm a saucey girl 😉! Cocktails good, but overall nothing too stunning. Maybe stop by if you want a nice wood fire pizza.
Sarah Knutson
Took a star off because our party of five was told at 6 pm on a Saturday the wait was 45 minutes and it was over an hour and a half, despite numerous open tables and booths. When asked what the hold up was because the wait was well past ridiculous, the host explained they were waiting for one last booth to clear to put us there, or they could seat us at the high top that had been open some time. They hadn't asked if we'd prefer a booth, just made an assumption that left us sitting 30+ minutes longer than we should have been. Once seat the service was quick and the food was delicious!
Ed Dropps IV
Absolutely Fantastic. Took my wife to lunch for Valentines Day. Had a great meal. Will be back for dinner sometime soon! Ordered the following, Moscow Mule, spinach salad, cheeseburger w/fries, and a Margherita pizza.
Michael Muilenburg
Loved the brunch menu, crab avocado scrambled eggs and a killer waffle. Coffee was good and service was top notch. I will definitely go back to try the dinner menu.
Cynthia Erickson
We went for a birthday party during the week. We had made reservations in advance. We tried a few of the appetizers - spring rolls, burraya, and sprouts and cauliflower - and enjoyed them all. I had the fettuccini. It was good but next time I'll try the gemelli, which was my other choice. Parking was not the easiest to find, but our server was awesome. We had a great time there.
Lyban Omar
Staff was very friendly and the breakfast sandwich was amazing!
Megan Gould
Freaking delicious. Get the Burger and the Mac & Cheese. Loved the Cookies for dessert and the meatball app. Place was hip but not boujee. Great service. Will definitely be back to hangout and drink at the Basement Bar.
Adam Voorhees
A bright, open space with deep booths, Nolo's has good food at decent prices. Parking is a challenge, as it always is in the area, and there's not a ton of tables, but the atmosphere is nice and breezy, and the service was fast. The side dish of sprouts and cauliflower was worth the trip alone, for me.
Devon Lundy
I've never had romaine that tasty before. I only say that because it's not something that usually makes itself known in a salad as a noteworthy component, but MAN was it sweet and crunchy. Like it was full of cane juice. Anyway, terrific chef salad and the side of egg salad on toast was a delight.
rich carlson
Professionally run restaurant.
Always fun and tasty food.. priced reasonable. Good wait staff.
Considering the location of NOLO's
(NOrth LOop!), the menu should have a bit more imagination.
rick parmeter
Nolos is such a great restaurant - one of my favorites in the north loop. My normal go to is the chicken sandwich but recently tried the fried rice - absolutely delicious. 10/10 recommend
Kaleb Rumicho
Primarily come here for group brunches. Nolo's is spacious and has a cool decor. Their breakfast fried rice is out of this world, and they use quality champagne/prosecco for their bottomless mimosas! Highly recommend Nolo's Kitchen & Bar.
Nate Uzlik
Great venue and design, love it! Really excited for the Basement Bar to open!
Food and drinks were both great! We especially loved the mac and cheese but thought the burger was slightly over-rated. Delicious smoked chicken flatbread/
Really enjoyed the 2 Ctails we had. Irish pirate was slightly better than the Rosada Dawn but both left our taste buds dancing.
The one major issue we had was with our service. One of the worst experiences we have probably ever had, no exaggeration. Here are some events that took place:
- When we first sat down, our server asked us if we just got there or just finished eating (confusing us with another table). If we still have menus and fresh rolled silverware, the answer should be obvious.
- We had to request waters 3 times and after the 3rd time our waters were brought to the table next to us, requiring a 4th mention
- Our tab came back with a total that was TWICE the amount it should have been. We had two extra drinks on it and 2 apps we never ordered.
I don't think this service experience was indicative of all Nolo's servers, just ours. The management team was very friendly - quickly correcting our tab without hesitation and providing a tour of the unopened Basement Bar.
We want Nolo's to be a successful and we hope that sharing the few issues we had will help!

Great upgraded classics with their own twist. Biscuits and gravy was nicely seasoned and with a good ratio of meat, large biscuits and gravy was served in an individual crock, which stayed hot, hot, hot. All found very tasty even when some at the table were recovering from the night before. Haha.
Pamela McGovern
Pete came to our house and made an amazing meal!! If you ever get the chance I would highly recommend. I met while at nolo and he suggested he would be willing to cook for a few friends. Will do this again!!
Ashley Hogenson
NOLOs Kitchen has a great variety of food, tastes great, but their staff is even greater. Special shout-out to Emily and Steven for making our dinner on the town an experience!
Ben Pourier
The Duck Burger was surreal. Always get the Smoked Chicken Flatbread. Awesome local tap list! They also have a rare brew from Colorado called Coors Light. Ambiance is so incredibly sleek.
Virtually Viktoriyan
Fantastic customer service. Dog friendly patio. They open early enough for a weekend breakfast. And the food is always a hit! Plus they brew some of the best coffee in north-loop.
jimmy nguyen
Best cauliflower I've ever had lol. Great service and an inspired menu. Has great vegetarian options. No complaints to be found.
Deb Salonek
Party of 3 shared 4 items from the breakfast menu. Yes, there were leftovers and everything was fabulous! The only sad thing is the lack of clientele due to the violence earlier this season.
Heather
Nice intimate place in the North Loop for a meal or drinks. The lamb burger is a must try! Have a rooftop that gets busy in the summer as well.
Stephanie Rudenko
Loved Nolo's so much! The food choice was amazing, very stylish and "instagram worthy." I had the steak and eggs and they were amazing! All of the staff are friendly and welcoming! Such a great location, restaurant, and overall experience! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone I can! They also have great parking for such a popular area in the city! Thank you Nolo's for a great experience.
Carl Modrick
Great restaurant and take time to go to the basement bar. Food was amazing, recommend the fettuccine with the Italian sausage...not a heavy sauce, pasta made in house...amazing. Best Old Fashion I have ever had. Just a cool place upstairs and down

Only been here for Happy Hour..but I want to back for food! It was jammed as the Vikings game was nearby, so I’d recommend going when nothing else is going on downtown. Loved the atmosphere, planning to go back soon!
Daryl Larson
Met friends for Happy Hour, we really enjoyed the flat bread/pizza and the Impossible Burger is hard to beat! Nice selection of beer and cocktails.

This was a fun hidden gem. Not a lot of seating, but we got lucky and got spots at the common table. The donuts smelled really good but weren't quite as good as they smelled!
jeremy jay

Good food and ambiance at this restaurant. Went for brunch on a Sunday morning and it was soooo loud! Definitely wasn’t the time for any kind of serious or intimate conversation. Will try visiting this place again at a different time of day!!
Joslyn Danielson
Amazing bright and comfortable atmosphere! The food is also wonderful, feels like a home-cooked meal my mom would make (if my mom was a highly trained professional chef!)
Dan Lenort
As a small group we wanted someplace where we could talk and be comfortable while having something to eat and drink. The food alone was a reason to go. The environment was great. My advice is go and enjoy.

Stopped in on a Wednesday morning and they had a $5.15 breakfast... it's just during the week. Probably cost 10-15 normally. Was delicious.
Paul Huynh
Excellent staff, great food....except for the bun mi sandwich. You need to get at least the bread (roll) right for a Vietnamese sandwich. Really surprised at the misstep with everything else sooo top notch.

Trendy, bright, open. The menu pays homage to this former site of Gardener's Hardware. (It's nice when gentrification acknowledges the legacy establishments they usurp.)

One of my favorite spots in The North Loop.
