Reviews of Naviya's Thai Kitchen
Andie C
Some of the best Thai food that I’ve ever had! My sister and I split the spring rolls and veggie green curry and WOW it was flavorful, a little spicy, the veggies cooked to perfection. Good service, reasonably priced, and nice to sit outside on a beautiful fall day. Lots of great gluten-free options as well!

Amazing food. The chefs are artists just showing off. If you like Thai, this place has to be on your list. Fantastic service as well. I already can't wait to come back. 10/10 recommend the hot plate

one of my favourite Thai restaurants in the twin cities. we ordered their basil fried rice with beef and pad see ew and the dishes are filled with fresh vegetables and delicious flavours. i really enjoyed their fried rice because it got a nice basil flavour to it and the portion size is huge but definitely more on the expensive side ~$18 per dish. it’s also located in a very cute neighborhood and i would love to come back and try their other menu items

Food is always fresh, staff is friendly, and food allergies are accommodated. The papaya salad is a must try. Pictured here is the pad kee mow, drunken noodles, laced to my taste with their delicious chili oil. I will warn you - this oil packs a punch! Easily my favorite Thai spot in the area.

Overall is too sweet for me. The hot stir plate is pretty fresh and nice, ordered with Shrimp. Dong yum gong is extra sweet, a little disappointed. Pho is also sweet. The dishes will be way better if less sugar added. Didn't order curry, might be good.

Had a great meal at Naviya. We loved the newer decor and had a phenomenal meal, cream cheese wantons also highly recommended.

Had this place on my list to try. Went for dinner. No wait for a table at 8pm. That was nice. Dining room was bright and clean. The staff were nice and quick. I got chicken laab (ground chicken with fresh herbs, lime juice, toasted rice powder, and spices) and a key lime tart. I asked for the laab hot and it was which a plus and can be hard to find in the twin cities (because I’m sure Americans order spicy dishes complain about them being too spicy).
The food tasted great. Like I said, the laab tasted as I’d expect with a proper amount of heat (notably hot). The key lime tart was really good; properly tart rather than sweet and it had a nice smooth texture without being too soft and pudding-like. I’m taking off a star for two things. If it were out of 10 stars, I would take away 1 star for each and give 8/10. They were out of sticky rice, which is unfortunate since laab is best with sticky rice. The lettuce was probably cut early in the day or the head was older because the outside few layers were too soft to use to pick up the food. I would like to bring a friend and try again. If I do and there’s sticky rice and firmer lettuce I’ll change my review to 5 stars (9/10)

Best Thai food in Minnesota!
My only regret is not taking pics to share with you.
We devoured the pad thai, yellow curry, kids fried rice, and holy basil supreme w/duck. Although a bit pricey, the flavors and portions are easily 10/10. Definitely a nice little taste of Bangkok and definitely a recommend if you’re craving upscale Thai eats!

Loved the sleek, cozy vibe of this place. Server was friendly and service was great. The food…that was the real killer! Our party of 7 all loved our food—and we debated about the various spice levels (3 was almost too much for me, but it was still super delicious!). Happy to go back any time!

Post courthouse wedding celebration lunch! Loved the food, apps are DELISH. Get the chicken satay FOR SURE. loved the main course - all the veggies were super fresh. The service was also amazing, we brought our own cake and champagne, and they were really nice about letting us have our own little celebration. I'd go back in a heartbeat, can't wait to try more items on the menu.

The quality and freshness of the ingredients at Naviayas is unmatched as far as Thai food is concerned. We always have delicious meals when dining in or taking out. Great options for vegetarian and gluten free. You can't go wrong!
Ralph Trites
Clean, fun place in old part of town. Appetizers of chicken satay & lettuce wraps are spot-on delicious; a taste of what’s to come. Entrees were seasoned as labeled and wonderful. Extensive beer & wine selections. 🔸Everything (ex Pho) is or can be made gluten-free!!! Service was prompt & professional. …
Melanie Lodermeier
Great food! Flavor was on point, veggies were crisp and fresh, and server was very attentive.
We asked for more heat/spice with our dishes and they delivered - my nose was running. Thumbs up, we’ll be back.

My husband and I are IN LOVE with this place. I am picky about my Thai food and this place hits every time. They are very consistent, fresh, and delicious. The employees are all very kind, lovely people as well!
Linda Nelson
It was the 1st cold and rainy day of the season. A big bowl of Pho really hit the spot. The steamy aroma followed by the excellent broth and rice noodles was perfect. It was well spiced with plenty of vegetables and a bowl of extra spice on the side.
stacie hunt vickerman
Food was delicious! We each had a different curry dish and all noticed the vegetables were elevated with a lovely grill char. So delicious! We’ll be back!!
Brandy Churchill
I love the stir fries! The staff are friendly and our server gave us recommendations for appetizers when we couldn't decide. No cocktails but I've liked all the wine I've had.
Efrat Cohen
Delicious food! We all shared the cheese wontons and their veggie spring rolls and it was delightful 😊 The red curry dish is super tasty and super hot! 😜 …

Very delicious Thai food, Food portions are very decent. We ordered Thai basil fried rice, it was up to the expectations. I would highly recommend this place.
Tj Prall
A small hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant is modern rustic looking with delicious food! The fried spring rolls are not your typical monochromatic appetizer as the color of cabbage and carrots still stand out when the rolls come cut on a bias and presented with a nicely done chili sauce that's not too sweet. If you are looking for a savory pad thai than this is your spot as I loved the charred yet semi crispy veggies and the rice noodles with a good bite. The beef ginger hot plate was delicious as well!
My only gripe was one host and one server standing around and I was seeing rice under the tables. They could have swept that up quickly when the rest of the restaurant is clean.

I ordered from Naviya’s for the first time on Saturday October 10, 2020. I ordered {Wild Cod Fillet with Red Curry $22, Deep-Fried Chicken Wings $10, Cream Cheese Wontons $8, Pad Thai Rice Noodle Beef $18} to go due to the COVID outbreak. Although the food was nice and hot, it was way too overpriced. The chicken wings were over seasoned, the cod fillet with red curry was way too watery and not as creamy with the coconut milk and the Pad Thai noodles were dry from being over cooked. Overall, an okay experience.

I drove past here a few weeks ago when checking out Linden Hills. I put it on my list and did not think about for a few days until a friend recommended it as a good Thai place in town. That meant I needed to come. About an hour ago I asked some friends what they were up to, but everybody already had dinner plans so I went against what I always do and came here by myself (well my baby is along sleeping). I'm so glad that I came. I sat down at a spot on the patio and a server was out right away to greet me. I checked the menu in advance and asked a couple questions. I went with one of the favorites, Pa-nang Chicken Curry. I was warned that it has a little kick, but it wasn't not too spicy if you like a little bit of heat. The chicken was just right. It was full of vegetables that were also cooked just right. I have enough to take home for a treat later. I'm excited to come back to try more. I also like meals and tips that are in the $20 combined range.

Nearly every dish contains an identical assortment of minnesota garden vegetables that are not found in authentic Thai dishes. This restaurant would never survive in an area where Thai food was understood well.
CoryAnn K
Originally I gave this place a 5 out of 5. They have high quality vegetables and most dishes taste amazing. However, lately they have been very inconsistent with the amount of vegetables. You pay more for a regular stir fry here than you would add any other Thai place, but when I first started ordering I didn't mind since they gave you a lot of vegetables. Lately over the past year, the vegetables have been very skimp in their dishes. So, I started adding on the $3 extra for extra veggies. At first, my container was overflowing with vegetables and I loved it.however, you can see in the picture below I paid $3 extra for the one with extra veggies on the right, and the one on the left was the normal version. There is no difference. It's really hard that they are inconsistent with the amount of vegetables. I wish they would just give you a good helping with the normal one, then if you pay extra that it would be an extra large portion. For the price you pay, it should be a good helping of vegetables whether or not you add them on.
Laura Mills
So good! The veggies taste fresh and almost all items can be made vegan. We had the lettuce wraps, papaya salad, and panang curry 😋!!!
Casey Sanders
The environment is cool and the server was super duper nice. On the spendy side, but you get a ton of food. The tea and spring rolls were great with the pad Thai being sweet like one from Thailand would be!
Tommy Van Wylen
Great food and vegan options! They are also aren't afraid of adding some real spice to their dishes, which is a rarity in Minnesota!
Joe R
I cannot express enough how amazing the food is here. My partner and I were visiting from out of town and tried Naviya's based on the reviews. We were blown away by the preparations. This is a family owned and run restaurant. We were served by a very friendly son-in-law of the owner who explained that all the recipes were authentic family recipes. I often hesitate ordering fish in a "non-seafood" restaurant but we ordered a dish that included cod. The cod was prepared perfectly along with the accompanying veggies. We also ordered a curry dish that was not served with a soup-like consistency as in most Thai restaurants. It was a thicker curry which intensified the flavors. I would have given 10 stars if allowed. We will absolutely return every time when traveling to MSP.
Anna Roby
Excellent Thai food! Everything was very fresh and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend.
Roxanne De
Flavorful Thai food, fast pick-up, very delicious. a little low on the spice level even at the highest levels you can order.
Debra Flick
Great Thai food. I love the wok char. The service was great. We loved everything. I will be back when in town again.
Reuben Hanson
Excellent service and great cuisine, but I would say that the green curry and most of their dishes are Thai inspired, not Thai. If you typically have an issue with Thai food being too spicy, this is the Thai restaurant for you. Otherwise, be willing to try something that doesn't quite taste how you would expect it. Giving them a 5 for answering all questions pertaining to preparation and correctly stating that this is Thai inspired.
John Smith
This restaurant is my new favorite place for Thai!
The food is super tasty.
Decor is simple but classy.
Staff remembers their customers if they return.
My favorite dishes:
Short Ribs (mouth-watering just thinking about it),
Pad thai with shrimp,
Sticky rice with fresh mango (dessert)
Kim Sorensen
All the veggies taste so fresh and not overcooked. We love Naviyahs and love to share it with friends.
Bjorn Berntson
Good food, but the 10% service charge added at the end of a to-go order is underhanded. Support restaurants, but not dishonest business practices.
Edit: to clarify, both the service charge and its hidden nature are underhanded. Why not raise prices by 10% instead if it's not meant to be a hidden charge?
Fred Finney
All three of us love the Naviya's food. Our typical order is two kinds of curry and the holy basil supreme as well as the shrimp and/or veggie spring rolls. If getting take out check to make sure you've been given the correct order before leaving the restaurant.
Matthew Rogers
Some of the best Thai food I have had in the cities. This will be my go to from now on!
Lauren Baumann
The best Thai food for miles! I’ve had Thai in California and many places but I come back year after year for this food. Yum :)
Leslie Plesser
I have been eating here for years and it is by far my favorite Thai spot in the Twin Cities. The vegetables are always extremely flavorful, nothing is too greasy and the curries are AMAZING. That number 40 is the BEST. The chicken is the perfect tenderness, and I love how accommodating they are if you prefer brown rice or want extra vegetables. I cannot suggest it enough.
Lou Mo
So happy to a found this place been looking for great Thai food for a long time!!! Party of six everybody ordered different things and we’re all very happy! Law our server was amazing! Can’t wait to go back! 👍👍 …
karen lang
My personal favorite is #40….red curry with so many fresh veggies and I always add shrimp. Just a touch spicey! I have been dining in and taking out from Naviyas for 10 years and can always 100% count on the tastiest freshest ingredients every time! This is a gem of a family owned business.
Katie Larson
I love all of the veggies they add to add their dishes! The Panang curry and the cream cheese wontons were both spot on. However, the green curry and green papaya salad were both pretty big misses for us. We found them both to be cloyingly sweet. We also felt the papaya salad was missing some core flavors (lime, garlic and fish sauce). We were only able to detect the peanuts and palm sugar.
Joe Piscaschmoe
This is one of the best tasting Thai restaurants around. They put in the extra effort and grill or broil some of their ingredients which gives almost every dish a special flavor. Their curries are so good it’s worth coming by even though the prices are one of the highest if not the highest for Thai in the Twin Cities. I’d give them 5 stars except they add a 10% service charge on top of the already high price to every order including takeout. That’s a surprise “gotcha.” If your expenses are higher, put that into the prices of your menu items. I don’t need to be complained to about rising costs with itemized % fees on the receipt.
Justin Wall
Best Thai in the Twin Cities! The pad thai is tasty but also feels fairly nutritious compared to other pad thai dishes I've had. The curry (green, red, or other) is spicy and delicious. I've never eaten inside but their carry out has been there for me for a few years now and I cannot recommend them more. I do miss the curry trio but understand the need to remove it from the menu.
Walter Gegner
Our favorite Thai food in the Twin Cities. Always fresh and tasty. Veggies are always crisp, never over cooked. Good variety of dishes also. Highly recommended.
Kelsey Uribe
Ordered two types of spring rolls, both delicious and even our kid loved them. The pineapple duck curry (level 3 spice) was tasty and a good mix of meat and veg. We also got the holy basil stir fry with extra veggies, and it was flavorful and delicious. We ordered it with a level 2 spice. Lastly, we got the green curry with the level 2 spice, but it was significantly spicier than the stir fry despite being the same level of spice on the ratings system. The person in our household couldn't eat it, due to the spice level, so they traded for the holy basil and all was well. Overall a good lunch but if you order the green curry, even at a medium spice level, expect it to be spicier than anticipated.
Helen Neumeister
Amazing Restaurant, it might seem a little bit pricey but they serve plenty food!
Will eat here again for sure
Karen Nemchik
We were so happy to eat again at Naviya’s. Better and more personable than takeout. Pleased to see the nicely spaced tables. Both of us enjoyed our roast duck in red curry sauce and a tasty noodle dish as well. Thoughtful choice of wine and beers.
Ian Stephenson
Naviya's food is consistently excellent and having lived in Asia and been in Thailand many times, I can also say it is totally authentic. I love the green curry, my kids love the pad thai and my wife's favorite is the spring rolls. I strongly recommend you try them.
Brad
Absolutely fantastic! I judge a good Thai restaurant by how good their papaya salad is, and how spicy they can make it. Naviya has the best papaya salad in the Twin Cities! Every dish they serve is top rate, authentically made and authentically spicy if you want it to be.
Callie Knoblauch
My husband and I have been getting takeaway from Naviya’s Thai Brasserie every Friday night for years(and sometimes added a second night during the pandemic). We have tried countless Thai restaurants in the twin cities, always find Thai when we travel, and have never found any that we love more than Naviya’s. My husband and I are both vegan and Naviya’s has lots of options for us. The staff knows us by name, makes us feel special, and are always very friendly. Located in the sweet neighborhood of Linden Hills-you must give it a try!!!
Danielle Kleiner
We drive about 25 minutes each way to get take out here atleast once a month because it truly is the best Thai food in the Twin Cities. We live amongst many Thai restaurants but everywhere we have tried never compares and we are often left saying “it’s not as good as Naviyas!” ☺️. The staff are also so kind and very thoughtful about food allergies - I can’t eat gluten and they always prepare my food in a way that tastes great and is safe for me to eat. My kids call this their favorite restaurant and my hubby and I have to agree. ❤️
Russell Kennedy
Always fresh and lots of veggies in thier dishes. Fresh tofu spring rolls, yum! The Green Curry is the best I have ever had, a delicate balance of flavors and spice. Pad Thai is another favorite. You are always greeted with a smile. Thanks Naviya's!!!
Miguel Granger
My family, friends and coworkers have been coming to Naviya for years because we know it’s the best Thai in town.
The flavors so rich, complex and nuanced.
We love the staff as well. I’d eat here five nights a week if I could.
Highest recommendation
Erik Warren
Came here on NYE and the food was impeccable as always. Plus the music was absolutely BANGING
Parissa Delavari
This place is definitely more expensive than some Thai restaurants, but in my opinion totally worth the money. You can tell they use really high quality ingredients and many of their dishes are loaded with yummy perfectly cooked vegetables. Even the pad Thai has broccoli & carrots. I feel that when we eat food from here it’s a healthy choice for my family. Hands down the pad Thai is amazing and one of the best. Our other favorites are beef and broccoli, basil
Stir fry with tofu, and basil fried rice with shrimp. And my kids literally fight over the chicken satay. It’s not greasy at all, and it leaves you feeling happily full and energetic.
Attis Alexandria
Naviya's is my favorite restaurant in the cities. Even though we live more than 40 minutes from this place now we still always come here for date night. Great veggie options and wonderful atmosphere, can't recommend Naviya's enough!
Ann Melrose
We keep coming back to Naviya’s Thai. The food is fresh and well prepared, and the chef spices it to your taste. Portions are generous. Don’t miss the Hot Plates. Go for extra veggies. This restaurant is a neighborhood treasure!
Heather Snell
Delicious every time. I've had many of the dishes at Naviyas and there is not a single thing I would not order again. The Coconut Lemongrass soup is a must have. Every single time. The Panang Curry, Green Curry, any of the Hot Plates, Thai Sweet and Sour Stir Fry, Pad Thai, Sweet Soy Noodles, Pineapple Fried Rice...all so good it's very, very hard to decide. My boyfriend and I usually get two things we both like so we can share and have some leftovers! It's a small little place so if it's busy, service can be a little spotty but nothing that would ever keep me away.
C G
Is it just my imagination or have the takeout containers gotten smaller? Not sure how much I'll be ordering in the future if this is the case.
Shin Shoji
Clean, pleasant restaurant in a lovely neighborhood with a very attentive and friendly staff. Portions are large and ingredients seem fresh. However, the food is nothing even close to authentic thai. I ordered a dish "thai spicy" and there were NO chilis in it. Seriously? To be fair, I lived in Bangkok for seven years before coming to MN recently. A thai friend actually recomended this place, so I was hoping for real thai food. But from the taste, all the food seemed to have more sugar added than basil, cilantro, etc. Seems more like standard chinese take out IMHO.
clara choe
Wow, how did I just discover this place?
Their Thai food was so rich in flavor and the ingredients were really fresh. This might be my favorite Thai spot after living in MN for 12 years!
Paul Pasker
The lettuce wraps were fantastic. I loved the pineapple fried rice with chicken. The seating area was a tad small but the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend having dinner here if in the area.
Kathy Pope
Naviya's is our favorite go to restaurant. Every dish we've tried has been fabulous but our favorites are Spicy Noodles and Panang Curry. The service is excellent and we have always been happy with our experience. Highest recommendations!
Claire
KIDS REVEIW
Yes there is a kid's menu and lots of good choices
Sharon Kaplan
I don't eat out a lot, but when I do, Naviya's is one of the first places I think about. I have a lot of food restrictions, but I can always find lots of really delicious, satisfying choices. And the take-out service during COVID has been fantastic. I have always felt safe and cared-for.
Harnam Chana
Food was amazing. Lots of vegetarian options, and when it comes to spice levels these guy's aren't playing. We ordered cashew chicken, and Pad Thai w/mock duck at a spice level of 4 starts. It was hard not to put the food down, it was just that good. Spice and flavors were just right. Might be our new fav thai place in the twin cities.
Reason for the 4 stars is the price. It's pricy compared to other local restaurants, I paid almost an extra $10 in tax which really adds up.
Mel Kessler
Excellent Thai food grounded with authenticity with a touch of creativity. Always fresh ingredients and well balanced flavors. We love Naviya’s!
Theresa V.
It's the FRESHEST tasting Thai food I've ever had. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. My favorite is the green curry with chicken and vegetables. The vegetables are always done perfectly, and there's a nice variety.
The service is usually pretty good, occasionally I've had slowish service in-house when it's randomly busy during odd hours, but it's always prompt when I take it to go.
Alejandra Orcutt
Chill vibe. Nice wine glasses. Carefully made food. Great people. Reasonably priced. Hot spice levels go from "Minnesota spice" Al the way to "Thai spicy".
Lauren Clapp- Luce
Great food! The lettuce wraps are awesome, the pad thai is different but really good! It has fresh veggies and a really great flavor. The atmosphere is charming, we have only been for lunch so it is quiet, but I can imagine as the restaurant fills up for dinner it might get pretty loud in there! Great place overall.
Sean Gilbertson
We like Naviya’s food - though they tend to be heavy on veggies (especially cauliflower) - but after placing an order recently, they were pretty unprofessional.
We ordered for 7:45. They called at 7:06 and asked if we could pick it up early (right then) so they could leave early. I said I couldn’t, which they said they were okay with. But, they made our food 18 minutes too early anyway, and then called me twice while I was driving to check where I was.
Food is good. Service leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
Noah Hovland
Best Thai food Ive had In the Twin Cities. Really like the atmosphere as well. Super small and intamte.
Mary Koppel
We’ve always felt lucky to live within walking distance from Naviya, but never more so than during this Pandemic Era. So fresh and well made that it travels well and the to-go experience has been flawless. And they handle the full range of spice preferences for this family without fail.
Katie Schmidt
Very torn on this place. The food is delicious so I keep ordering hoping for the best. Unfortunately recently the prices have gone up which is fine, I get it, but also the portions have been cut in almost half which makes it hard to justify.
Syed Askari
Excellent food with friendly service. Place is small with few seats, resulting in long wait times. There were maybe 3 servers managing a full house. There was a long wait from ordering to food arrival. To credit to the few wait staff that was there, none of them cut corners and their attention to detail was amazing. Food is of good quality, especially shrimp padthai and red curry. Tom yum soup with shrimps was just out of this world.
River Dettloff-Moats
This place has hands down the best pad thai I've tasted yet, I love it every time I come here. Service is also absolutely lovely
David McIntosh
The freshest vegetables punctuate every dish we've ever ordered from Naviya's, and they are prepared to preserve their texture and full flavor, not as an afterthought to the main protein. Every dish tastes fresh and clean from Naviya's; delicious, flavorful and healthy.
Shari Davis
We can’t say enough about this wonderful neighborhood restaurant. We’ve always enjoyed having dinner at Naviya”s and we’ve had them cater large affairs twice. Wonderful owners and staff. Delicious, fresh food.
Slow Heat
First time trying Thai food with a friend, and I gotta say the food was phenomenal for the price. Finally, the service from the waiter was super fast and friendly. Definitely going back here when I get the chance.
Nicole Lindberg
Naviya's is a family favorite. Our must have's include pad thai, chicken satay and panang curry, but everything is fresh and delicious. So lucky to have this restaurant so close to home.
Christian Wilkie
Fantastic, delicious dishes made with real imagination and bold flavor. The staff is always friendly and attentive. This is a great place for impressing guests.
Andrew Henley
The best,… and I’m really picky. TomYum soup is spot on,… Red Curry is delectable…Service always on point, and if there is such thing as gourmet thai food, this is it. Bravo Team!
Bridget Bender
I had dinner here with my partner and it was phenomenal. The sweet and sour tamarind stir fry with tempura cod was our favourite dish, but we enjoyed everything we had (green curry and shiitake spring rolls). They don't take reservations for groups less than 4 and they advised we arrive before the 6-8 rush to avoid waiting for a table. We're glad we did because when we left at 630 there was a line out the door.
Adam Levy
Through a happy accident or happenstance we found Naviya's Thai Brassierie and were very glad that we did! The restaurant is beautiful, clean and very friendly and inviting feeling. I commonly ask at new (to me) restaurants about dishes that I am familiar with or curious about and at Naviya's they gave great answers and pointed us to some really good food! The staff was friendly and very helpful and we enjoyed all of our dishes! This is a well situated restaurant that I am looking forward to visiting again very soon.
Jim B
Best Thai in MN hands down. Amazing food
Linda Obeid
My second time here was much better than the first. Overall this place has good food. Papaya salad, beef teriyaki, and the soup were the stars. Some of the other dishes I found a bit bland. Location is great. Some of the staff were great others needed more training and were like a dear in headlights when it came to knowing how to handle customers.
John Barber
The food here is simply amazing. Very fresh and very good for you. Unlike most Thai restaurants, Naviya really lets the fresh vegetables sing with their amazing sauces. The sauces are balanced and fresh. So good.
I like the red curry, the vegetable lettuce cups, the green curry and their mock duck.
The restaurant is wonderful to go to on a sunny day as the front windows allow tons of light in. Also fun to eat outside during the Summer and watch the folks of Linden Hills pass you by.
Jennifer H.
What an incredible place! The food here is absolutely amazing--it is SO delicious and the dishes are full of fresh vegetables. I've eaten at a dozen other Thai places, and Naviya's is my favorite, mainly because of the amount and variety of fresh vegetables they put in their dishes. We had the lettuce wraps to start--they were so tasty! For entrees, I had the Bangkok Hot Plate and my husband had the Pad Kee Mow (both with fried tofu). Both were so flavorful and wonderful, and they served pretty generous portions (we took some home with us). Everything on the tables around us looked fantastic and interesting too! We can't wait to go back and try some other dishes.
Archana Shah
We love this place and always order same dishes but It’s definitely overpriced and today when we ordered we noticed tax was 20% on the food. So,we call them thinking it’s computer glitch, but it’s not. They started charging service charge of 15%. I am ok to pay tips but not by enforcing it.
Michelle Bove'
One of the things I love about Naviya's food is that it's always fresh (especially the vegetables) and the flavors in each dish are delicious. Thank you Naviya for serving up healthful, beautiful food. 🥰 …
Nate Atkinson
It's disheartening to hear some of the negative stories because that was not my experience at all. I went there the evening Tue Mar 18 with a friend. Not too many other people there. We ordered the Calamari as an appetizer. Excellent - not rubbery, and the batter & dipping sauce were delicious. I got the Bangkok Hot Plate which is "choice of meat stir-fired in the wok tossed with fresh garlic, cilantro, and green onion on top of wok seared vegetable & served on a sizzling host cast iron skillet" - also with rice. I chose beef: very, VERY good! Service was attentive. I took half of my entree home with me and stir-fried the leftovers a few days later. Still excellent. You get what you pay for - definitely worth it.
T G
Outstanding food! Good service. Reasonable prices. Our group was tasting off each other's plates...it's OK, we're from the South. The food was incredible and not overpriced like other locations within a block. Most items are traditional Thai and portions will send you home with a lite lunch the next day. This is a must try restaurant!
Colin McGowan
Place had great flavors and a cozy atmosphere. They have different takes on classic dishes and some things may not be what you expect. Best example is that their Pa-Nang Curry was actually like a stir fry with little to no curry sauce. Flavor was still good but definitely not what we expected.

I probably liked the atmosphere the most. The food was good, but overpriced. The waitress was extremely slow, given she only had one other table...on a weekday (we ended up being there for three hours). The tea is fantastic and they have so many options. We tried the White Jasmine Tea and it tasted so pretty. Herbal Teas were out, so that was a bummer. Would return to taste more of the loose-leaf Herbal Teas. This would be a great place to go if:
1. You want to say you had dinner in Linden Hills
2. You want an aesthetically pleasing background for an instagram photo
3. You want to try some fantastic teas
4. You want to pay too much for curry
Peace & Love,
A Millennial
Andrew Wollenberg
Nice, simple atmosphere and very good food. The vegetable & shitake spring rolls are light, crispy, and have a great taste (and come with the essential sweet chili sauce). The green curry was fine, the red curry was good, and the massamun curry was phenomenal. If you want it actually spicy, you probably need to order 5/5 for spice.
Deb Oberman
Food is always so tasty & well prepared with fresh veggies. Our favorite place to take out (and eat in too). Great atmosphere and service.
Sharon Nelson
I love the food at Naviya;s. We live in Eden Prairie and always feel it is worth the drive to experience the fresh, clean and delicious meals that are unique to this restaurant. Thank you.
Roshan Rajkumar
Consistent and authentic. Naviya is on the spendy side for Thai food, but it is always so good, cooked to desired heat level without killing taste. Amazing Thai beef jerky, though dipping sauces could be more plentiful. The Pad Thai and Pad Wee are plentiful and well-balanced in taste. Recommend protein of chicken for both. The Papaya Salad is zesty and full of texture. Recommend the beef jerky as your protein. And the Beef & Broccoli is an old standard but so good. A great lunch spot since it is not overrun. Good wine and beer selection, but no hard alcohol. Worth a trip.
Eric Westenberger
We had the beef short rib curry and sweet chili tamarind with shrimp. They were both fantastic. You don't really understand what quality Thai food tastes like until you've had it.
Andy Whisney
The best Thai food in the city hands down! I might be biased because I live fairly close, but it's seriously some of the best in Minneapolis.
I usually go with the pad thai or pad see ew but you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I'm also a big fan of the papaya salad with their beef jerky. It's light and flavorful and perfect for date night!
Their carry-out is pretty quick, too, which is always super convenient.
Chris Shaw (Sunyaku)
We love hot food, so we chose Naviya's over other local options because a prior reviewer said they prepare food at your desired heat level. We orderer the curry trio and pinapple duck curry "thai hot" and it was AMAZING. Very hot, and oh so flavorful. Would absolutely come back, and next time we'll try to save room for desserts which also looked tasty! We dined at a slightly odd time-- after lunch rush on a weekday, but there was no wait and the service was great.
Melissa Pederson
We love this place so much we have the number on our speed dial. Our favorite dishes are the sweet soy noodles(for kids), the garlic shrimp hot plate, and the red sweet and spicy curry. Very good atmosphere and excellent takeout service.
Kimberley Pizza
Love the food here, so fresh and flavorful and really unique from other Thai restaurants. I felt it was somewhat healthier but not lacking in flavor or taste at all! Atmosphere and service was ok, nothing outstanding but it's a small restaurant and so glad I found this little gem!
Scott Shaw
We've always loved the food, but I want to say that they're doing an amazing job with their contactless curbside pickup. Order ahead, call when you're there and they'll put it right in your trunk without even touching your car. It's terrible that we have to do this, but they're doing it right with 0 face-to-face interaction. Looking forward to sitting in the restaurant again when we're able.
Karl C
If their Red Curry tasted any better I am sure it would be criminalized as a narcotic...
We eat takeout and dine-in from Naviya's on a regular basis and have yet to discover a menu item that isn't amazing.
And the serving sizes are great, too! We generally get 2+ meals out of each order.
We love love love Naviya's Thai Brasserie...
Michael Freeman
$$$$ I've had way better it's a simple as that The food is good there's no doubt about it. But when you eat as much of this food as I have you realize there's a lot of the same standard stuff. Way to overpriced for what you're getting. If you like this type of food then you'll love this place as all the stuff you want all the different menu options that you've ever thought of but the price is too high for what you get three people three meals three appetizers right under a hundred bucks way overpriced.
Ryan Choi
Great food! My girlfriend and I visited here for dinner one night and had the green curry, which was amazing! The staff were friendly and more than happy to answer any questions we had. The fresh spring rolls were all very good! I will be back!
Emily Pfeiffer
We’ve been going to Naviya’s for years. The food is always great, and their service is also good. They are our favorite Thai restaurant in the Cities.
Lex Talionis
Love. It’s on the expensive side (for Asian food, generally) but the quality is well worth it. Consistently great food and good value. It’s nice to have a Thai restaurant in linden hills to break up the brasseries and del prados.
Kimberly Sweeney
Naviya’s is my ultimate comfort food. The dishes are thoughtfully prepared and the produce is high quality. Honorable mention to the wonderful customer service too!!
JC Cross
Exceptional Thai food. The interior area is a bit tight, so prepare for a wait if you’re coming at a peak time. If weather permits, take advantage of the outdoor seating. Wherever you sit, you can hardly go wrong with the authentic, freshly-prepared dishes.
Morgan Roddy
I really enjoyed my appetizers and meal, fantastic food and enjoyable atmosphere, but the service wasn't very attentive. We requested our check and waited fifteen minutes before it came to us. The server had left our table and made rounds to provide refills--which I can appreciate his doing--but then ended up being caught up at a table having to review the whole menu with the party. He was the only server so there wasn't much we (or he) could do. I'd come back, but I would go when they aren't busy or when they have more help.
Michael Gordon
We order from Naviya’s several times a month and love it all. Especially green curry with shrimp and the sweet holy basil!
Grant LiaBraaten
Nice location. The food was fabulous and flavorful. The Rama Thai Chicken - Very Tasty! The Pa-nang Curry Chicken - excellent flavor and Thai Hot is on the hotter side of the Thai restaurants I have tried in Minneapolis ranking with Kindee. The Summer Tofu Rolls were a good start!
Zach Orban
Due to covid ordered to go/curbside. Food was wonderful and probably the best thai we've had in the west metro. Slight delay between scheduled pick up and when we got the food, but with online ordering/dinner rush we can give these people a break. Would recommend!
karen lang
I love everything about Naviyas. The food is incredible, delicious, and fresh. My favorite is #40 with shrimp. The yummiest red curry ever! Great beer and wine selection as well as fabulous take out.
Sal Randazzo
Naviya’s has the best thai food in the Twin Cities. The service is always great and the food is always tasty and enjoyable! I love bringing people here and they always love it too! Get the pad thai, it is the best I have ever had!!
Travis Pagliara
Really solid upscale Thai food. Honestly this is now in the top 2 in the cities for me. Lucky to have it right in Linden Hills! Take out was easy and the ambience inside looked great for a sit down meal next time!
Paul E
Appetizers were a 5! Delicious! Meal was 2 not very good. Thus a 3 star. The staff are delightful so Im very sorry for the poor rating. Very expensive.
Peranda Plants
It's absolutely incredible. The coconut lemongrass soup is definitely one of the best dishes I've EVER tasted. The ginger garlic hotplate was also delicious!
L V
We had the chance to visit this cute, trendy little restaurant while here visiting our son from Wisconsin. The food was excellent, clean and pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Our waiter Timothy was extremely friendly and helpful, top notch customer service :)
Steve Rawlins
Red curry, Pad Thai, friendly and caring staff. Small shared parking lot next door at Dunn Brothers. Great for vegetarians.
steelyhendrix
The jazz music is a little disorienting, but the food is good. They had vegetarian options which is why we went. Also, opened pretty late on Sunday. We drove from St. Paul, probably wouldn't make that trip again, but if I was in the neighborhood I'd stop by. Portions are a little small for the dollar.
Keroloss “Kero” Honain
My wife and I have been here multiple times. The food is great, cool vibe, and nice staff. Will definitely be back
Paul Widdel
Very tasty food overall and the service was good. I would recommend the Rama Thai, Lettuce Wraps and the Thai Beef Jerky. The cashew chicken was on the bland side but I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu in a future visit.
Stephanie Bolles
Best Thai food in Minneapolis. Great service too. We sat outside and our waiter brought our pup a whole bowl of chicken. Food was so fresh and flavorful.
Planty McPlanterson
So SO good! Charming restaurant with pleasant staff, AMAZING food, and wine. The spices and flavors are always on point and I always feel comfortable staying and chatting with my friends.
Jennifer Davis
Best Thai restaurant ever! They give you so many vegetables with the noodle and curry dishes.
Daniel Graves
Awesome Thai food! I got the short rib curry, and would highly recommend it. My girlfriend got the duck curry (spicy and amazing!) Cream cheese wontons are a must too
Ryan Orion
Nice location in Linden Hills, right by Lake Harriet. Connected to a Dunns Bros.
We had the turkey spring rolls. Very good. For main dish we had the Curry Trio, which is a small amount of the Massaman, Green, and Red Curries. It was all very good. I have eaten at Amazing Thailand, Chiang Mai, Tum Rup Thai, and I've been to Thailand. This was good food. Full flavor, nice spice. Nice little environment, friendly service. Not too pricy. I would suggest splitting a main course, the trio was a great split item, together we spent 26$ for a entree and app. And we were full, and it was good. Def going back sometime.
Jen Bellefleur
My husband and I have lived in this neighborhood for many years....first with our kids, and now with our college-age daughter. I remember juggling working with raising kids and trying to get healthy food on the table every night with a smile on my face. Somewhere along the line, we just got a little older and perhaps a little more tired and a lot more fussy now that one of us has celiac disease. We aren't able to cook and eat dinner at home as much, and with Naviya, that's okay.
When we come to Naviya, we feel like family. They know our dietary restrictions and our preferences, and always do considerate things like bring my no-ice water.
They serve simply beautiful food here, and they serve it with love. I could tell you my favorites, but everything's a winner at this authentic Thai restaurant. Whether I'm grabbing take out, dining in with my husband, or meeting my daughter here--we always leave with a smile on our faces and feeling like we had a family dinner Some people say you can't buy that feeling, but somehow at Naviya, we always feel like we're home. Thanks guys.
Love always,
jen
Mekenzie Hayford
My favorite thai restaurant in Minneapolis! The red curry is really wonderful, full of delicious veggies!
Peter Alfaro
A quaint place with very good food. They have a good menu of Thai and some Asian/Indian curry dishes. Indoor and sidewalk seating. There is a small parking lot to the left of the store, otherwise, it's on street parking.
Anthony Erdal
10/10 local. And best Thai iced tea in town!
Marsha Talbot
We both had the Pad Thai and it was OK. It was a little dry, the flavor wasn't big. We needed to add spice!
The service was good and honest.
larrylavercombe
I LOVE Naviya! Great Curry! Great Service! I eat there at least once a month! Can't go without!!
Charles Peterson
My wife and I tried this place for an anniversary celebration and it has become our favorite Thai restaurant. Great food and great service every time.
Taylor Besser
Awesome pad Thai, huge portions! Not much outdoor seating, but the neighborhood is quite cute. Indoors is sleek and modern. Friendly, accommodating service.
Pulkit Kashyap
I really loved this place. Staff was good. Food was perfect. I am vegetarian and it's hard to find options. Naviyas is perfect Thai place in Linden hills. I would like to come back again very soon.
Portia Vogt TCT GSuite
Shared lo mein. Pricey for what we got and we even paid for the extra vegetables but there weren't very many. On the bright side the service was really good for curbside pickup.
J C
Support this amazing, local business! The food is delicious and the service is great. Be patient on order times - it’s worth the wait!

Ph-A-mazing! Just had their rich, inspired Pho and can’t wait to go back for more! Takeout service was slick and had a quick turnaround
Phillip Addison
1st three visits were spectacular... last time the vegetables and tofu seemed like they were steamed and a sauce plopped on top. Please do better I will give another shot.
Victoria Juster
Naviya always exceeds expectation. The food tastes delicious and the veggies are just the right crisp/cooked fresh.
Kristin Smart
Naviya's food is amazing! I have friends that drive over 45 minutes to get their food. We go there every chance we get.

Jim Angelo
Very good food, including veggies, and nice selection of beers. Had the Rama Thai and it was spectacular.

This restaurant is well-suited for the Linden Hills area. Although it may not be to the level that Rice Paper ever was, the service is friendly and quick, the prices are reasonable, and the food is enjoyable.
Mike Du Mond
