Reviews of Mr. Paul's Supper Club
Queen San
This place is a bit pricey, but everything that I had I enjoyed. A New Orleans inspired restaurant, with New Orleans inspired food that they have put their own spin on.
The drinks were as good as the food. We had a good server, but it was extremely busy so it took quite awhile for us to get our food and drinks.
I would highly recommend making a reservation. There are 2 parking ramps near the restaurant that have free parking. As I mentioned above it is pricey so come expecting to spend some money.

I was hesitant about going here after reading reviews online all afternoon but man am I glad I didn't listen to those people. It's been a long time since I've experienced such amazing service accompanied by equally amazing food. I went with my mentor from work, we like to treat ourselves so we had the pop-overs with pickled vegetable platter and escargot then lobster gnocchi and halibut and everything was amazing. Stunning atmosphere, delicious cocktails, exceptional service, and just good food. Really couldn't ask for a better grown up night out.
Paul 4God!
This was our first time in this new supper club. The atmosphere was fun, and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. The music was more in the background, and I like that as I don't go to supper clubs to dance. The wait staff was polite and George took very good care of us. The food is unique and delicious. It is located in a nice area of Edina, as my wife loves the shops nearby. It was a good thing for me that they were all closed...😉.

We went last night and it was AMAZING! I think that it was the best dining experience I've ever had. The steak tartare was fantastic, as well as the brussel sprouts. I also had the lobster gnocchi and my husband had the pork chop..both AMAZING. The cocktails were awesome as well! The only disappointment is that I woke up this morning and didn't have any leftovers..so we have no choice, but to continue to go back for more! The staff was the best! Thank you so much to Kelly, our main server, and Chef Marley! You guys ROCK!
LM H
It exceeded all of my expectations! Everything was so good!!! Our server, Kelly, was energetic and attentive. And the FOOD... Oh my... It was as delicious as it was beautiful. (I don't normally take pictures of my food, but I couldn't help it). We'll be back! Thank you for a great experience!

Have you ever fantasized about a cracker? I will, now that I've tried the ones from Mr. Paul's that comes with the popovers and relish. The lobster gnocchi was bathed in a creamy orange (always my favorite color for my food to be smothered in) sauce. Finished everything out with a passion fruit martini, fluffy beignets, and soaked in the wonderful decor. Even my kid ate all his mac and cheese which is a rarity.

Came here last night for our 32nd anniversary. We will be coming back and bringing with us people we love! ♥️
1) The Pimm’s cup was refreshing and pleasantly herbaceous
2) The boudin balls (think Cajun arancini) were a perfect starter with just enough kick
3) The wedge salad was sufficiently tangy, crisp, and definitely big enough for two
4) My husband had the double pork chop, which was more like a quadruple; great flavor, perfectly prepared.
5) Brussels sprouts were simple yet superb
6) I had the crawfish étouffée- excellent. Couldn’t finish it all but I did just now for breakfast and the crawdads were little flavor bombs- it was almost better-tasting than last night! To leave behind any of the broth/sauce would have been a crime, so I did my part.
7) Our server (Rachel) gave us complimentary mini boozy frozen hot chocolates; a perfect end to a really wonderful meal.
Can’t wait to come back and try other menu selections. Thank you so much!

A couple reasons why I give this 5 stars and I'm sure you'll agree. The staff and management are on point. Charismatic, knowledgeable, and precise when it comes to your dining/drinking experience. The ambiance is universal when it comes to bringing a date or just going out to eat with friends. I was very satisfied with my pork chop, the meatloaf was delicious, along with stuffed mushrooms. But everything I had overall was delicious. A couple starter dishes lacked in flavor but overall it was a great experience and will go back again.

Food was only ok, I found it underwhelming but the service was great and the atmosphere was nice. My dad's food came to table and was cold. I would like try this place again to give it another review. Love the creativity of the menu just need to try more things.

From the atmosphere to food to the service - this place was spot on. We grabbed an impromptu dinner with friends on a Thursday night without a reservation and luckily got a great table by the kitchen (spoiler alert: all the food looked amazing). Everything we had was amazing, but a few standouts were the steak tartare, duck and sausage gumbo, cornbread and lobster gnocchi. Cocktails were excellent, too! We will definitely be back soon try more!

First time visit. We had not made reservations since it was Sunday. They were very busy. A half hour wait for a table so we sat at the bar. The 3 bartenders took very good care of us and had numerous suggestions.
The Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer and the Wedge Salad were the best!!!
Short Rib Pappardelle was good, but could have had more short rib in it. My friend had the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf and said it was delicious.
We were disappointed that the relish tray was so big. $23 and it served 4-6. A smaller one for 2 would have been perfect.

This is, without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in the metro. Hands down. Everything we ate was unbelievable, from appetizers to main courses, sides to desserts. You cannot go wrong. We had the stuffed mushrooms, lobster gnocchi, etouffee, beignets, cornbread, and sweet potato creme brulee. I would recommend every single thing.
Tom Weaver
I went with a group of 3 other people and everything started out well but crept slowly downhill as the evening went on. The food was all pretty good but the service kept getting worse. We got our drinks and appetizer relatively quickly, but our entrees all came out at different times. 3 people got their food at the same time and one was brought out close to ten minutes later and wasn't really warm anymore. One side showed up with the 3 meals, one showed up with the late entree, and the other we were told "we didn't forget about it, we're just out of it, would you like something else" but by then most of the group was halfway done with dinner so it wasn't worth it. We skipped dessert because we'd been there for two hours at that point and didn't want to be there for 3rd. It's a shame because the food was good but the service was not great and I'm not in a hurry to go back
John Boyt
Food was great. Martini actually had vermouth in it - gross. Loud place. Only 3 beers on tap. Wallpaper in bathroom was best ever.
Isaac Schultz
Grabbed dinner here following an event. We were pleased the kitchen was still open just before 10 p.m. Very flavorful short rib stroganoff which is done with pappardelle noodles. Meat loaf is also highly recommended for taste and especially the fact it's bacon wrapped over a bed of mashed potatoes. Yum.

We saw a lot of reviews of this place and were really excited to try it as Cajun/Creole food is my absolute favorite cuisine. However, we were let down by the average fare.
The space itself is what I would have expected, a bit dark but vibrant, like a speakeasy atmosphere. The hostess and our waiter were phenomenal as well, very inviting and warm. The drinks were pretty good, creative, though a bit sweet. The food was a big letdown though. It was good in that it was what we expected it to taste like, but nothing special. Not elevated in any way to justify the high price. You could get the same or better on Bourbon Street for less than half the price. The beignets were the biggest disappointment. Each one was absolutely huge and a bit overcooked. It was served only with a spoon and no knife so the edge was impossible to cut with only a spoon and powdered sugar got everywhere. The highlight of the meal was the Steak Tartare served on a crostini, though kind of sad when a starter is the star of the show.
We spent $200 (maybe $60-70 in drinks) on a dinner for two and came out disappointed. Nothing special on the food, no elevation of classic dishes, just highly inflated prices due to location. We would stop in again for drinks with friends if we're in the area, but frankly would be happier spending just $20 at Popeye's.

We were eager to try out this new supper club. Inside, the atmosphere is fun and spacious. Fortunately, we had a booth by the windows, which offered us space from other tables and conversations. The placed was buzzing, including people sitting at the bar. The background music was pleasing (but they could turn the volume down a bit for our tastes), as we went to enjoy conversing and catching up with our guests, too. and George took very good care of us.
Overall, I’d say it is a nice Twin Cities dining option when you want food and cocktails that are unique and delicious. The Mint Mojito and the Cinco de Maya Pineapple Margaretta was excellent as well as presents beautifully. One guest in our party ordered the Mr. Paul’s Supper Club Sazera and reported it was truly superb!!! It’s a rich blend of Rye, Brandy, Fennel Pollen, Bittered Piloncillo Syrup, Miracle Sazerac Cocktail Enhancer – with a wonderful taste of anise.
The stuffed mushroom appetizers and muscles are excellent. A generous portion of sausages and herbs and vegetables floated attractively in the muscles piquant sauce. We ordered an addition side of seasoned, crusted bread to enjoy every drop.
The grilled romaine with egg, breadcrumb, Caesar dressing and pecorino was served superbly cold. Two of us split it as the portion is very generous. I found the creamed spinach to be the best that I’ve ever had (or made); truly stellar!
The Halibut in a
Creole bourride was okay. The clams were nice but neither of us who order it found the rock shrimp not fingerling potato in our dish. It sits on top of a large piece of bread. Both of us who selected this fish for our entre’ felt ill later that evening and through the night. Our second visit was even better. We had the Diver Scallop dinner and the Short Rib Stroganoff - both are superb. I will definitely order them again. The Poor Trinity with fennel bitters and grapefruit flavors is excellent.
The wait staff was polite, timely, and helpful. Easy to locate on Market Street. Plan time to find parking and get to this popular area during rush hour traffic. The drive there took us 20 minutes longer than planned due to long waits at traffic lights.

We've seen the Po' Boys restaurant of Mr. Paul's several times while in the area getting ice cream. We finally decided to get a bite there and for someone who doesn't care about Po' Boy sammies... these were delicious. I believe it's more the kind of bread they use. It reminded me of the bahn mi loafs that are crispy on the outside and perfectly soft (without being too bready) on the inside. The toppings and proteins were also delicious. Overall, really tasty and creative (and amazing looking) sammies. There are a few more we'd like to try, including the full dining restaurant.
The servers at the Po' Boy counter were such a delight to speak with. Very personable, funny, and kind individuals who made our visit even better than we expected. Thanks for the laughs.

The drinks are amazing. the food was good and the atmosphere was my favorite part of the experience. Loved the different areas. Would definitely come back with my friends.

Delicious food and drinks. Great atmosphere! Crawfish Etouffee was the best I’ve ever had. Definitely returning!!!
James Carlisle
Food - generous portions, fresh: boudin balls, meaty and tasty, popovers & relish tray, not quite what’s on the menu but a lot of well flavored and prepared options, pimento cheese & crackers but no chutney; wedge salad with two dressings came out fast, excellent balance of greens to dressing and toppings; lamb chops with grits, star of the meal, two chops split two ways was just right after the appetizer and salads courses, grits were good but not remarkable; lemon ice box cake, delicious yellow cake with whipped cream — but decidedly not an ‘ice box cake’ which is layers of cookies and cream, typically. Negroni was perfect, really taste the chicory in the gin, Malbec tasty and well-priced, coffee sub par.
Service - Gina was chatty, professional, and charming. She was often pulled into conversation by the table behind us who wanted to chat at length about living in Atlanta, but when she was attending to us she was great, just the timing of her check ins were such that we relied on the expediters and bus boy for ordering additional drinks during dinner. We were at out table for 2 full hours, and she paced the courses well, offered excellent suggestions on options, and made sure we felt comfortable.
Atmosphere - outside on the patio on a warm May Saturday evening, ideal. We were first offered a small booth inside but opted for outdoors, more on that below. What time we spent inside, going to and from the patio, I can confirm that the inside is CLAMOROUS, including shouts from the open kitchen (awesome generally for us, but in addition to the other action, too much for me). I would love to come back and will likely make sure that we can sit outside or find a slow evening if we need to be inside in winter.
Toasts - quality and quantity of food, priced well but not inexpensive at $200 for meal, drinks, and tip. Balloon marked that we were “celebrating” an occasion — as I’d been prompted to offer when we made reservations, cute — and it meant that our dessert was comped. A really fine and exceptional gesture.
Roasts - hosts, offered to seat us inside, we’d indicated patio when making reservations and they pivoted to accommodate that when pressed, but the fact that they got some info right and some wrong indicates some area for attention; the hosts were often walking around, standing right at our table even for 1-2 minutes, on the iPad checking tables, not a horrid fault but again not discreet and shows some area for training/growth. Food, as above, some items not as labeled or described on menu, I recommend asking about particulars that you are ordering, no bad surprises though.

Very fun atmosphere! It’s a rocking place! We had a wonderful server who was very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks! I enjoyed the halibut - the apps are super intriguing and delicious as well. Beautifully decorated!

Such a lovely experience. We love Creole and Cajun food, and the menu did not disappoint. We had a later reservation so they were out of beignets but all the food was fantastic! We had the muscles, the ri eye with jumbo shrimp, the ceviche ( The absolute best part of the meal!), the étouffée, and the king oyster mushrooms.
We also got the mac and cheese but I would pass on that.
Danke Zhu
New Orleans atmosphere! Love the drinks and the food! I have been there three times and nothing has let me down.

Mr. Paul's Supper Club was the "perfect" venue for our special event that we hosted in their private dining room. The dining room is lovely and it was bonus that you have your own little bar area. The fabulous drink options, spectacular food and exceptional service made for a wonderful evening! Sophie and Kelly made certain every detail was taken care of for us. Thank you Mr. Paul's Supper Club for providing us with a wonderful special event - our guests all enjoyed themselves. Cheers to you!

Tried out the newly opened Mr. Paul's Supper Club located near the eclectic 50th & France neighborhood in Edina.
I'm too lazy to write a full review so here's the cliff notes version.
✅ Gorgeous space
✅ Super congenial staff
✅ Amazingly accommodating
✅ Dope playlist
The ⭐ of the night was the Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate - Chocolate Mousse, Brownie Cake, Bourbon Grenache, Orange Supreme.
The crawfish etouffee reminded me more of a shrimp creole. I'm use to etouffee that looks like the color of gravy. The flavor was good. Could have used a bit more spice.
The fried walleye was ah-mazing.
I'd love for you to check out their menu and give them a try. Especially for meat lovers.
Erin and Courtney, thanks for your hospitality. We had a beautiful evening.

I would normally rate this a 1.
Service was good, the drinks leave a lot to be desired...and the steak? Look at the picture and try to tell me that is a 50$ steak...
Bland, overcooked, and looks so sad..
They put glitter on the mint for the drinks, but cannot be botherd to so much as put a garnish on the steak?

I went here in July for my birthday and have been meaning to leave a review since then. We had such a great time. Everything was fantastic, from the food and drinks (we tried several), to the ambiance and every staff member who touched our table. I have recommended Mr. Paul’s to friends and family and can’t wait to go back soon. Truly an enjoyable dining experience.
Michael Barthel
Easily one of the best dining experiences in the twin cities. Phenomenal food, excellent staff, and a wonderful atmosphere. This is a huge win for the 50th and France area and a must visit. I will be returning frequently!
Bizz
Mario and Nick were really fantastic, the service was top notch. My wife had a great time on her birthday and we enjoyed the food and large portions. Nick got happy birthday going for her, which was really nice. The drinks are very good, unique, and strong. We will return someday!
Gorty
Service was phenomenal. Boudin balls tasted great (house treat), and the calamari was tasty, I like how it was served with greens and peppers. My partner ordered the meatloaf and I ordered a new York strip. Meatloaf tasted great and was a fantastic meal. My new York strip was however slightly underwhelming. Can't wait to try something else next visit!
Jeff Lande
Fantastic food, fantastic staff! Bar staff is fun and engaging (particularly Billy and Mario). Food always comes fast and hot.
Not the easiest place to get to from Maple Grove at dinner time, but it is absolutely our new go-to for date night.
Cory Amundson
By far the best experience we have had at a restaurant in a long time. We went there for our anniversary and everything was amazing, food and ambiance were 10/10 and Robin & Kelly went the extra mile to make this a special evening. We will absolutely be returning and will refer all of our friends as well. Thank you so much Robin & Kelly!

It was my birthday and we had reservation for 3 people - 2 adults and 1 toddler. We arrived early and they would not check us in until exact time (up to minutes). Food was good, but I would give 4 starts for food, the flies were all over our food once it was placed on the table. Drinks are 5 starts. Customer service could be better.
Andrea Bien
I can’t say enough good things about this place. We have wanted to dine here for months and finally were able to make it happen January 14th. The food was AMAZING! Everything we had was great. The meatloaf, stroganoff, burger, gnocchi, chicken, and pork chops. I have never been to a restaurant where all the food was amazing. We sat by the kitchen area and it was so fun to watch the team interact. They truly liked working with each other. The supper club has a lively and fun atmosphere. Meeting Tommy was a highlight but the real highlight was our server Emma. She was the best! We will be back for sure! Can’t wait to experience the supper club in the summer! You guys are fabulous!
Erin B
Service is top notch! Cocktails are okay and wine selection is good. Food was the most hit and miss that we've ever experienced -- dishes were either over seasoned, great, or unbelievably bland. Absolutely no consistency. Other diners we're leaving full.plates sit as well. I really, really wanted to like this place. Maybe an off night.
Erin Oglesbay
We hosted a private dinner at Mr. Paul’s. The meal and service were outstanding. We have so many fond memories of the food and the drinks, but for me, the most important part is the way the staff made our group feel. We felt welcome and celebrated. We look forward to returning!
Gregory Schlee
The dining room is loud. The service was excellent. The food and drinks were satisfactory. Our sazerac was just their version of the New Orleans classic. The NY steak was beautifully cooked but there was inedible connective tissue that should have been removed during butchering. Recommend weather permitting sitting outside and enjoying the wine list and appetizers.
Kirsten Olsen
Everyone and everything exceeded my expectations… the oysters/meatballs blew me away.. i had the old fashion it was well balanced and incredibly delicious. The staff host to bartender to the manager treated us with some of the best service I’ve experienced. Do not miss this place.. i am planning my next trip back for that porterhouse that passed me by…
Mike Carlson
Probably the best dinning experience I have ever had. The service to the food, all amazing. Chef Marley, and server Kelly made are evening one to remember! Thank you for such a great evening!
Chloe Weber
New favorite spot! Great food and cocktails but even better staff! Will and Marley went the extra mile to make our experience really great and we will definitely keep this place in our regular rotation.
Jason Bright
Amazing menu, wine, and staff. Great crowd and a staff that actually cares!
Chef Marley guessed from my order that I was trying Keto! He made the best most amazing delicious Keto burger I’ve had… ever. Not only that but he came out to tell me he supported me and made is especially for me. Really?! What a gift to have Mr Paul’s. I love this place!
Chelsea Flesher
Our experience was fantastic. We had stuffed mushrooms, hush puppies and oysters for apps. Crawfish ettoufe and diver scallops for dinner. Our waitress Kayla was super sweet and gave us drink recommendations which were amazing. Definitely try the passion fruit martini. She also comped our dessert, the crème brûlée, which was SO GOOD… and we got an awesome show from the bartender (wish I had caught his name he was super fun) at the smaller bar in the back plus a free little mini frozen coffee. Overall a wonderful time! Will definitely be back.
Paul Repice
Met friends for an early drink and some appetizers Kelly., Our waitress was one of the best I’ve ever experienced!!!! Literally the perfect experience food was fantastic and I highly recommend it. Remember to top it off with beignets to go. We ate them in the car.!
Tony Jackson
Amazing service and food. The bruch was outstanding.
Pat Addy
Excellent atmosphere to meet friends for dinner. Tasty Crinkle Cut Fries. Good Popovers.
The Ribeye is ok. Next time will try a Burger or Filet.
The Cornbread is pretty awful.
Nice Wine List.
John L
Great ambience. Food lacked the sophistication and flavors the price implies. The ceviche was tasty and the cocktails were good. Our server made sure we knew he was too cool to be doing his job with his stand-off attitude and meticulous personal grooming. Did not get a smile from the hostess, server, or busser. Clearly, this is Edina, and they want you to know it.
Merlyn Wilson
Great food food! And the drinks❤...
Food and drinks came in no time. Our waiter was phenomenal! And Tommy, thanks for our dessert! Will definitely be back soon.
Angela Peterson
One of the best meals that I've had in Minneapolis area! Everything from the drinks, appetizers, meals and desserts. My husband and I quickly realized that it was one of our favorite resturants to treat ourselves too. We did the Oysters, Ribeye, and Lobster Gnocchi. The Lobster Gnocchi was to die for and probably my favorite of the meal. Definitely reccommend!
Tabitha Thompson
I enjoyed the burger and fries and beignets! Service was great!
Joanne Keck
We dined at Mr. Paul's celebrating birthdays. The food was wonderful -- we ordered the filets which were done to perfection, scallops delicious, lobster gnocchi mouthwatering and the short rib stroganoff tasty as well. Our server, Kelly, the best -- attentive and helpful. A wonderful family celebration dinner!
Anne Kadue
Sorry to say, but the noise was very loud. We had a hard time hearing each other and our waiter. The food was good, but the prices are high considering the lack of an intimate dining experience.
Sylvia Morgan
I’ve been here for brunch and dinner and both times were amazing! The beef tartare was so good! Such a fun ambiance! Highly recommend!
Aagon
This is one of my favorite places in the Twin Cities. The food is so good - the Cryo flare is so welcome, in Minnesota! do yourself a favor and try the Crawfish Étouffée - it is wonderful. Drinks are upscale and well done.
The restaurant is electric with the energy, and the staff is top notch. Highly recommended.
Michele Delco
Nice experience at Mr. Paul's. The staff is very kind. Nice crowd.
Good food and good drinks selection.
On top of that, very reasonable prices!
Erin Cooney
My company had a holiday party at Mr. Paul's and the team has not stopped talking about how great everything was, 2 months later. The space itself was gorgeous, the drinks were exciting (and strong - I think some of our team is still recovering,) and the food was delicious and plentiful. But above all else, the service and communication from Rachel, Courtney, Erin, and the bartenders and servers was impeccable. We're already talking about how we could top this party next year and we're pretty sure we can't, so it's likely we'll be back for the next holiday party!
Michael Shields
What an enjoyable experience starting with our server, George. His recommendations were spot on and his interaction added to our 4 person dinner. The food is outstanding 3 in our group had steak and it was cooked to perfection and my awesome dish was lobster gnocchi. 2 of us had their house bourbon old fashioned and it was the best old fashioned I ever had. It is pricey however, it was worth every dollar. Did I mention great experience....
Robyn Kemp
Here is an absolute rave review about Mr. Paul’s! I’ve dined as a guest a few times since they opened and have always had fantastic experiences - the food and cocktails are delicious, the staff is extremely kind, prompt and charismatic and the space is gorgeous. I highly recommend the jumbo shrimp appetizer, pickles and popovers, halibut, and scallops! Oh and save room for dessert because the sweet potato creme brûlée will have you licking the plate! And their espresso martini - wow - they top it with a beautiful whip and it’s amazing!
I also had the joy of hosting my wedding reception in their beautiful back bar and private dining room and we were treated like royalty. Courtney was remarkable to work with through our planning phase and she and every staff member member worked our event was incredible to our friends and family. They bent over backwards to ensure everyone had what they needed from our dietary restricted guests to a few kiddos who have less exciting palates. And with their kindness also came great wit and entertainment which was an added bonus to the evening.
The food was all served hot and truly delicious which can sometimes be a challenge during larger events for some restaurants - Mr. Paul’s has the large party experience nailed down to a science! My 5 year old son even spilled water (kind of doused himself) at one point and without missing a beat, the staff was cleaning it all up and dressing him in his very own Mr. Paul’s sweatshirt. I mean truly the best service!! We really can’t recommend this spot enough.
Come for a cocktail, grab dinner with your best pals, or have a wedding! I can guarantee you will have a great time and fantastic meal!
Kienan Mick
Really fun atmosphere and nice staff! The food was pretty good, too.

Absolutely loved this place. The food is fantastic. The staff are all very kind and friendly. It is extremely expensive however.
Liz Smithson
We took our family here when they were in town visiting and we were very impressed with everything. The service was fantastic, the food was all delicious, and the drinks were great as well. We couldn't have asked for a better experience here! IT does get very busy on the weekends and you will likely need a reservation if you are going to get in at a reasonable hour.
Travis Hansen
Stopped in with my wife for dinner and some drinks.
Place was packed and borders on the loud side, but when you're that busy I'm not sure there's any way around that.
From an unconventional but delicious spin on steak tartare to addicting spicy mussels, there wasn't a miss on anything we ordered. Steak's temperature and char was perfect.
Staff were extremely hospitable and made for a terrific service.
Definitely recommend.

This place is more than a restaurant it’s a destination! Transcendental flavors so rich you’ll swear you’ve just dined on Bourbon Street. Craft cocktails perfectly poured, beautiful ambiance and wonderful waitstaff make any occasion a memorable one.
A special thanks to our server Gina. You are a joy truly adding to the charm of Mr. Paul’s. We adore you! Thank you for making each visit so special.

Came for dinner on a Friday night, and enjoyed our overall experience! First off the vibe of the place is excellent and the staff were all awesome and friendly! We then tried a few cocktails which were pretty standard in our opinion but still had a few fun options on their cocktail list. The menu had great options- definitely on the expensive side- so go in expecting that, but everything we ordered tasted great! The starter plate of cheese filled mushrooms along with the beignets for dessert were the highlights of our meal! We hope to be back to try their lunch menu Po-Boys!
Jennie Stewart
What an outstanding restaurant! The decor is perfect and the food and service simply is top of class. We stopped in and were thinking just cocktails and appetizers. Rachel went above and beyond to really help us out. We ended up staying for dinner. The cocktails are exquisite, the steak we had was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. Make sure to try the crayfish gratin. Yum. We will definitely be back. Lovely .

We love this place! The food, the decor
(even the bathrooms are cool !)
I wish it was closer to home but worth the short drive.
I always ask for Gina since she treats us like V.I.P. and she gets me , my wine tastes and everything! 5 stars 🌟

I was blown away… the beautiful environment, the wonderful service, and the food was incredible! This place is a must if you live in the twin cities!
Igor Komisarchik
Positive:
Short Rib Stroganoff was good!
Tartar was good!
Bar Seating is Great!
Comfortable booths!
Good interior design & layout
Bohemian Atmosphere
Good service!
Need improvements:
Too few drink options with rum and they were just simple, not craft
Old Fashioned was so-so
Gnocchi were so-so
Desert menu is too short and too simple, nothing special or "WOW"
Negative:
Restroom. It's shared for M & W and none of us could feel comfortable there doing what we go there for, plus women need more privacy in front of mirrors
Conclusion:
That's not the place we would go every week, but we'll definitely come back in a year or so
Overall experience was great!
Good luck with your new journey!
Kev Moe
Great service! Think they thought too hard on the vodka cocktails...Short Rib Stroganoff excellent...Lobster Gnocchi was heavy and would have played better lighter! The pop over beers pudding...a thimble of ice cream to the rest of the ratios were off kilter...and there was nothing to make you think popover. We'll be back but they need to sharpen their cue stick to break the "So What Barrier!"
L J
Delicious food, nice atmosphere, and great cocktails!!
My husband and went there in early January for the first time and decided it’s where we wanted to have our anniversary dinner.
Fast forward to February and the anniversary dinner…when making the reservation, my husband requested a booth to celebrate our special evening but we ended up getting shoved in a mini half-booth while there where plenty of large booths seating two persons. The service was so-so—a lot of forgetfulness. With five-star prices, such small details are needed for a five-star rating.
Nevertheless, the stuffed mushrooms are out of this world and the meatloaf and beef stroganoff are also highly recommended!
Edit: May 22, 2022
After our third visit this evening, my review has changed from a 4 to a 3.

We ate at the sandwich shop around the corner and it was fantastic! The food was great but the service was phenomenal. There were 4 of us plus 2 kids and the shop is small but the two servers made us feel welcome even though we made it cramped! We tried all the apps and sides, my favorite was the beans & rice and pimento cheese. Drinks were good too. 10/10 would recommend for a quick bite solo or with company!

Pretty nice New Orleans inspired supper club. Great location and friendly staff
Melanie Wolters
Carlos was an amazing server who gave us great recommendations like the Sazerac and the scallops! We loved the stuffed mushrooms and oysters. Great ambience and we will definitely be back!!

Everything about my experience at Mr. Paul's was top notch! We tried the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and for entrees had scallops and crawfish etouffee and split a side of creamed spinach and look forward to trying all of these again in the future! The drink menu was also phenomenal with craft cocktails! I would highly recommend this location for anybody that's looking for something new to try

Everything was great! We started at the bar, and the bartender was very friendly.
Drinks we're good (kind of pricey, but isn't an every day type of place)
Food was great! We had the gumbo, to start, which was very flavorful and unique.
I had the halibut meal which was amazing! Highly recommend.
My husband got the beef stroganoff which looked good, but was pretty standard, I think other dishes would have been better for a first timer.
The service and ambience was wonderful.
We will be back!
Amanda Bloomgren
Second time back and just as good! You know it’s stellar food when you are torn between reordering the same great thing you had last time or trying something new. This time we shared 5 different entrees and I would order all of them again.
The service was also wonderful. Attentive servers, water glasses refilled, food quickly bussed, questions asked… perfect amount of attention.
All of that and a great atmosphere and location.
L. Starr Stavrou
This restaurant is fantastic! The ambiance and decor are beautiful and worth the visit alone. My favorite menu item is the frozen Irish coffee and the lovely bartender/server Sarah makes them the best! Highly recommended!!

Celebrated New Years Eve dinner at Mr Pauls and had an incredible experience. My 2 young daughters enjoyed themselves coloring and eating amongst the lively adult atmosphere. We had an outstanding meal and the service was impeccable. Our server was top notch and her attention to detail was phenomenal. All of those working throughout the restaurant were incredibly friendly. Cannot wait to return with or without our kids.
Connie Ritchie
Went there for our first time last week. Sat in the main dining room, the popovers and tartare were second to none! Our server, Kelly was amazing and did a great job walking us through menu. We had the lobster gnocchi and ribeye and shared the mac & cheese and sprouts. Finished with the chocolate cake. Can not wait to go back! Loved all the plants too!

I am pretty careful about handing out 5 stars to restaurants but I cannot help it in this instance. Mr Paul's SC has a fantastic atmosphere. Ambience makes it not just a dinner but a whole experience. The staff is the friendliest I have ever encountered. If you like to be treated like you are the only customer they have, this is your place. I am a huge burger enthusiast and this burger was among the best. A simple smashed burger with housemade pickles and American cheese and special sauce. Fantastic burger. On top of that, I did takeaway order and one of the items was missing we noticed when we got to the car. Notified the host and four staff members assured me that the order would be done promptly. I was amazed. Erin then went above and beyond that with her kindness. I have never experienced that level of service. I will be back many times.
Sandi Shea
Bitter sweet!
Great meal
wonderful service
Music was too loud to enjoy a conversation with our group - requested it be lowered twice but was told “this is a loud place “
Unfortunately- will not return due to the noise level 🫤
N. Teele Schneider
My husband and I went there on a Friday night and were so excited to try this. We love creole and supper clubs - the best combo! We were seated in a booth near the bar. It is SO loud in here. The acoustics and high ceiling make it hard to have a conversation. The food was just OK. We started with the grilled prawns which had a nice spice but were really chewy. I had the lobster gnocchi and it was in desperate need of salt and the gnocchi itself was so-so. My husband had the crawfish etouffee and enjoyed it. I had two of the craft cocktails that were just mostly ice and half a drink. For $15 I was hoping for a more elevated drink. Our server was very nice but kept forgetting about us so we had to ask for things several times. There were also two bartenders behind the bar drinking all night. We thought they were maybe doing a training but thought that was odd for 7:30PM on a Friday. We'll probably give it one more shot in a few months to see if they've worked out the kinks, but for that price point there are many better options in the Twin Cities.

Stopped in for lunch.
What a great surprise.
Will be coming back for Sunday brunch!
Perry Rutter
Meatballs, gumbo, pork chop, spicy Brussels sprouts, vieux-carre. Excellent. Great service, felt like I was in New Orleans again.
Paul Stemper
The food and service were fantastic! Or server was engaging and offered suggestions when asked, food came out quickly.
Diana Eide
Finally tried this new restaurant in Edina. I was pleasantly surprised. They have a nice cocktail menu and I choose the Creole Slush which was really good. Started with the boudin balls - get these, they are rice mixed with chicken and trinity and fried - so good!!! Had the Super Club Wedge which was tasty, they do a mix of blue cheese, ranch and French dressings which is different but really good. My husband tried the gumbo and it was so good. The corn bread which was just the right amount of sweet. For my entree I had the Lobster Gnocchi which was a great combo of creole flavors. Lastly I had to have their chocolate martini and their beignets as that is my go to New Orleans fav. All and all a great meal. Restaurant is beautiful and the service was superb. There was always someone there making sure we had what we needed.
M K (MnNice61)
Delicious food and service. Gena was our waitress and was great. We were seated in the back ‘Gallery’ room. The room was quaint and fairly quiet, whereas the rest of the restaurant was quite noisy. The popover/vegies were great. Beef stroganoff was delicious. As were the burgers. The only downfall was there was a hostess who circled the room for the last 45 minutes of our dinner. It was downright rude and obnoxious. She must have circled at least 20 times with her iPad. No one told us there was a table time limit so it got to be quite obvious and irritating. There were times she actually stood next to someone’s table. Wow.
Only suggestion would be to not have this kind of behavior.
Iyana Rice
My server and the service was amazing! I will definitely go back and bring friends for drinks! I came for the broiled oysters and boudin balls. They were cool but tasted NOTHING like they do in New Orleans. Like everything in Minnesota we have to dumb it down,.
Alisha Gelhar
Worth your time in the Southwest metro! Everything from the stuffed mushrooms and steak to desert and cocktails was beautifully done. We enjoyed it, but also knew coming in that it would not be real Cajun… hence the 4 stars.
sheridan leslie
Very good food, nice wine and a beautiful restaurant. Service is very attentive but be aware, a reservation is a good idea.
Tom Norman
We had a great dinner at Mr. Paul's Supper Club. Christopher was our Server and he was highly knowledgeable and helpful. We had a 7 pm reservation and we were seated at 7 . Wedge Salad was THE best I have ever had. Ceviche was fabulous. Beef Stroganoff was excellent. Parking Ramp is right across the street. We will be going back very soon. We don't do downtown Minneapolis anymore and so we are really happy to have discovered Mr. Paul's.

We had a really great time and the highlight was easily the service they provide. Jorge, our server was amazing and was very knowledgeable. Our waters never even came close to empty as there was always someone ensuring they were full. While that probably seems like a small touch, it can be hard to come by other places.
The Burger and Short Rib Stroganoff were perfect although we did not see the meat and cheese board on the menu which we had seen listed on their website.
Overall a great atmosphere that very warm and welcoming. Would definitely come back for a round 2 and the charcuterie and cheese board!
Katy Stern
Thank you Sophie and Mario for the awesome hospitality! We loved the ceviche, oysters, Brussels, lobster tail and mussels. And the girls are enjoying their mocktail sugar high and Mac & cheese. So happy to have Mr Pauls in the neighborhood
Jennifer S
I absolutely love New Orleans food and visit often, so was super excited to hear about this place. The decor is eclectic and beautiful, although we were seated in the back room which doesn’t have the same ambiance. The cocktails are fun, the appetizers were awesome and the entrees were fine. I would have loved to see some other NOLA classics in addition to the étouffée. I almost shouted from the rooftops when I saw the grilled oysters. I dream about them so I will be back for those for sure! Also, order the popovers.
Only real negative for me was where I was seated, which was literally one foot from the service station, where I had to move constantly to not get elbowed or bumped into. That was annoying but was probably the worst seat in the house.
I absolutely plan to go back but think I’ll try the bar next time for the ambiance and order a few apps. Excited for the brunch menu I hear is coming so will be back for that as well!
Arnaud
Sometimes it's good to push a new door and try new things. This restaurant or supper club as it's titled is one of those. It's a must in town. You will feel spoiled and happy after you pick one othef the delicacies this venue has to offer.
I will stop here. It's late and it will make me hungry.
Brandon Tschida
Fantastic new place in Edina with great food, cocktails, ambience, and service. Stuffed mushrooms and au gratin appetizers are amazing. Etouffee entree equally as good. We sat at the bar, Nick made absolutely incredible drinks.
My only gripe and confirmed by several others who have been there, is the music is way too loud.
Overall though it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in the Twin Cities.
Nancy R
Excellent! We had lunch in their separate entrance behind the Supper Club. Service was friendly and attentive. Portions are huge, but the food is so good you'll be thankful ☺️ I had the tuna po boy. Best tuna sandwich of my life. I crave it weekly now...I also tried out the shrimp po boy and all of it's fresh, crunchy goodness. I don't think you can go wrong here with anything you order!

Mr. Pauls Supper club is a fantastic new addition to the Edina 50th and France area. The multi room and multi bar space is gorgeous, the open kitchen is fun to watch and the food is pricey but delicious. Stand outs were the steak tar tar and the house Sazerac. The highlight of our dinner was the expert service delivered by veteran service industry legend Sarah Wilke. We sat at the back bar and her attentive yet easy going and fun vibe made our experience a memorable one. When you go trust me and ask to sit at Sarah's bar!
Conor Hesch
Had dinner there last night with my Mom. Derek B was our server and he made it a memorable experience; had a great calm energy about him and was patient with my Mom and really cared she was happy with her meal and he knew the menu and wines very well. Exceptional service from Derek B!
joe begnaud
What an awesome experience! The food, cocktails, service, and vibe were all incredible & super unique. I don't think we stopped smiling from the moment we walked in, until the night's end. Congrats to Chef Tommy and the team for knocking it out of the park!

I dined last night at Mr. Paul's for a belated birthday gift with a dear friend. She had not been out to a nice restaurant in a long time due to Covid. We just did a google search on nearby places and found this little NEW GEM in Edina. We were absolutely blown away. The room was a modern classy take on 'supper club' with great music playing, cocktails so tasty we indulged in two. She had a perfectly cooked steak with brussels and mashed potatoes and I had a wonderful comfort-food in a braised short-rib stroganoff that was perfect to warm me up on these crazy cold days. Walleye appetizer brought some N'awlins heat and a finish with the beignets - served piping hot. Amazing! Get your reservation and go! Open at 4 p.m. for a great cocktail. Tons of great options for seafood and lighter fare. The chef and owner visited our table graciously talking with us and they mentioned a po' boy sandwich place connected to it for lunch grabs. I actually have a shellfish allergy, so I usually do not get to try jambalaya - theirs has andouille sausage and DUCK - no shrimp, so that's next up on the menu for me! The place was ROCKIN'! I'm so happy to have them in the neighborhood!
Jane Goss
Our first dining experience at the Po Boy counter was wonderful. Our servers were so helpful and fun. They were having a good time too! Decor is delightful and makes you happy. Po boys and beignets were outstanding. Can’t wait to go back for dinner (soon!). What a gem.
Emily Wingfield
Great atmosphere and great service, but the Cajun…well, it’s Cajunish. The pickled green tomatoes were fantastic, as were the red beans and rice, pimento cheese and boudin balls. The crawfish étouffée should be renamed the shrimp étouffée, but it had pretty good flavor. Unfortunately, the beignets were terrible. The cocktail list is strong, but the drinks aren’t. Closest you’ll get to Louisiana in Minnesota, but that’s still pretty far down the Mississippi.
Michelle Jensen
Talk about livin’ in the Big Easy! We are so blessed to have such a great place in the Midwest. We headed to the back bar on an early Friday night and were greeted by the most welcoming woman…Sarah. She was the bartendress & set us up with the house Negroni to start and we took the ride through the menus. She made sure we made all the stops for food, drink and conversation- what an experience! Thank you Sarah & Mr Paul’s for a great night out!
Luke Neuville
hosted private dinner for approx. 35 guests. Great overall experience. Food and service were excellent. Thanks!
Eddie Glozman
PROS: The appetizers, boudin balls and the meatballs were very good. As an entree we got the ribeye with a couple sides and I enjoyed both of them. Also before dinner, we sat at the bar and it was beautiful.
CONS: We were seated in the back for dinner and this room has a completely different vibe than the main room. It felt dead back there and like I did not get the full experience. Also, it was very cold as there was a door back there. I would recommend them close off that exit and insulate it better. Finally, it seems like they are still figuring things out in the back but it sounds like they were out of a few items and the waitress kept having to come back and apologize. Not her fault!
I would recommend them spending a day to sort their issues as a new restaurant, as the restaurant is a premium priced restaurant. We will try again in a few months.
Mark Gates
Second visit. Great food. Vibrant restaurant. Service could improve and they certainly could use some sound proofing. It's very difficult to have a conversation with friends.
Eric N
Best old fashioned in the twin cities and the meatloaf blew my mind! Amazing spot with next level service!
Ed Goss
Mr Paul’s Po Boy sandwich bar. The ambiance was perfect. We felt like we were at a New Orleans Po Boy restaurant. Tremendous selection of Po Boys. Had the Crawfish Po Boy and Beignets- both were outstanding. The staff was excellent and really added to the experience. Can’t wait to go to the restaurant section in the evening - the menu & restaurant section looked outstanding. By the way the web site pics of the food were actually representative of our food.
Laurel Tornes
I went there to meet a friend. Our food was absolutely perfect. We had sandwiches and great conversation. I never had that type of sandwich before they were just fantastic. What more can I say, out of this world! Plus great people work there!
Binh Tuong
Great ambiance, wonderful service & everything we ordered was delicious. Better than some of the best places I've been to in New Orleans. We had popover platter, gumbo, lobster gnocchi, the halibut (my personal favorite, but seriously, everything was so good!) & etouffee & shared it among 4 people and also had chocolate chocolate chocolate, beignets & creme brulee for dessert. We will definitely come back to try some other items. In fact, I already want to return! I would say my least favorite was the beignets. Not as good as some I've had in New Orleans. And wonderful drinks as well. I'm dying to try the Po Boys for lunch soon.
Ann Schroeder
This place is SO lively & fun!! I drank the best old fashioned and could’ve easily had a few more😬The food is wonderful and will soothe your soul❤️The service is top notch…I recommend you ask for Sarah, she knows how they do it in the dirty south😉🤣🍹🥂💯 …

Great restaurant! Our server Joe was fabulous! The mussels were delicious. husband had the crawfish etouffee and he loved it. I had the short rib stroganoff and melted in my mouth. Save room for the chocolate cake, it was fabulous!

I recently hosted a private event for 30 people at Mr. Paul’s. The space was beautiful, the staff was incredibly attentive, and the food was amazing. I could not have been more pleased with every aspect of the event and how well we were treated.
Max Schickert
Went there once soon after it opened and had a great time. Friendly wait staff, great short rib stroganoff, the owner takes the business seriously and provides a very unique atmosphere.
Dave Strong
Grabbed a lunch pickup at Po'boys and Jams. The po'boy was ENORMOUS and generously stuffed with sweet, beautifully fried crawfish tails. Perfect bread, fresh veggies, great proportions; it was at least as good as versions I've had in NOLA, and it was a bargain considering my partner and I were able to share it. Pimento cheese was terrific and the fried seasoned saltines were an unexpected update on a classic. The muffuleta isn't super traditional but was tasty, and the side of fries was enough for at least four people. Good service, great food, will be back!
Igor Khenkin
The steak tartar is the best in the cities and the porterhouse is on par with the best steakhouses.
Emilie Ellenz-Scott

Great drinks, amazing food! Every single thing I had a cooked to perfection. Try the grilled oysters, especially if you haven’t had oysters before, it’s a great intro into eating them.

We’ve been to Mr Paul’s twice already and love it. The space is beautiful, food was excellent, the service top notch. The Sazerac is a must have…. Best I’ve had outside of New Orleans.

Great Food and excellent service. My only complaint is the noise factor. I think they need to carpet the place. When I spendf $700. for a meal with friends I want to be able to have a conversation with them.
