Met up with family from Out of town here nice place great staff we must of laughed a little to much because we got mean faces. Other then that food was good not great just good! Steak melt in your mouth good. Just wished their was a little bit more on the plate. We were all hungry an hour later. I will say it wasn’t worth $500. And that is what our bill was we did have drinks. I think the food should stand out. Like WOW you and it does not for the price.

The restaurant was busy but we checked the self-seating on the bar side. After checking the open seating options, I thought belly to the bar was the only choice. Just when I was taking a seat at the corner of the bar I noticed a sweet intimate space that had space for four. I loved how this table was off by itself, it was a nice dimly lit area and created for a nice romantic space to have a delicious meal. I would say that our service was a bit slow but the calamari came out so quickly. The waitress I felt was just running around. Not developing a connection, but rather getting stuff done. The food was delicious, the steak was cooked to our liking. We split and meal and they served it on two plates for us, which made me happy. The calamari comes out with marinara sauce but I enjoy it most with tarter sauce, so I got a side of that (YUMMY).

We had a 5PM reservation & they got us right in even though we were a bit early. I highly recommend getting a reservation here. The vibe of the restaurant is very classy, chill & cozy. Our waiter was excellent. We both ordered Filet Mignon which was excellent but we were both disappointed that the meal only came with potato & if you want a veggie have to order it separately which just seems a bit greedy. Both of our Filets were excellent & prepared as requested. We had cheesecake for dessert & it was divine. All in all a wonderful experience!

My friend and I stopped by for happy hour on a Thursday evening, which goes until 6:30pm. Service was fine, self-seating at the bar but it was a little crowded. Ordered off happy hour menu and it was pretty good. Mussels- 10/10 (the white wine sauce was awesome). Fried calamari- 9/10, the bottom pieces were a little soggy. Blue cobia tacos- 6/10 they weren't bad, but the fish should've been the star of the dish and it was a little underwhelming. Overloaded with a lot of other ingredients that, in my opinion, didn't add to it. Cocktail shrimps- 9/10, large meaty shrimp, only ask, is a little more of the horseradish cocktail sauce. Overall good experience, happy hour menu is worth going back for. Only real knock on the place, is that I only noticed two individual bathrooms, for a place that big, could be problematic. 😕

Mccormick is great for business or fun! Date nights are good too. Food is always delicious here and the service is on point! I love that it's connected to a hotel now, you can eat and than go to the lounge with DJ and bar on Thursdays! Not sure about the other nights.

Fantastic food, ambiance, and service. My daughter formerly worked at McCormicks and wanted to have us go for our anniversary dinner. She set up a reservation and I was greeted with 'Happy Anniversary,' by the way hostess, Carly. Marissa, our server, was friendly and bubbly. We saw the Manager Aaron, and another server, Lois, from our previous visit with our daughter, which was the first time we visited. It was busy and hectic, but so nice to have a few words with Aaron, Lois, and Carly. I definitely recommend! The food we've had from the 2 visits has been phenomenal!!!!

A very intimate atmosphere, low lighting, candles on every table, high end but not intimidating. The food was very good. We ordered some raw oysters that tasted very fresh and clean. The cocktail sauce is clearly fresh made and delicious. The entrees were very good, the sides and sauces that came with each entree were perfectly matched. The desserts were very good as well. Their drink menu is extensive! Lots of options for anyone. Our server, frank, was wonderful. He was polite and friendly and took very good care of us. He even surprised us with an anniversary dessert! I am very happy we placed a reservation as they got quite busy! We will certainly be back again!

Our server was amazing all night. Stacy was very helpful with all our questions and enjoyed suggesting options to us, in addition to being delightful to interact with over the course of dinner. We went out for a date night and did make reservations, but we would have been perfectly fine without it. Our order included: Tito's cherry mule, Flatbread and oysters Rockefeller for apps; then pan seared scallops etouffee on parmesean grits and a Certified Angus Beef top sirloin with mushroom and a side of asparagus. For dessert we ordered the classic creme Brule and the chocolate bag. The chocolate bag was larger than we were expecting and incredibly rich, so I would suggest only that one for the chocolate lovers, rather than both desserts for two!

The atmosphere and service were on point last night. We were out celebrating birthdays. I forgot to take pictures of the appetizers ordered. But we ordered the mussels, tuna, oysters and the shrimp. All of the apps were soooo good. We ordered more mussels and oysters. The main meals were melt in your mouth. The ribeye was cooked to perfection. My entree was the blackened crusted tuna which I would order again. It was awesome. My friend got the flounder and she ate all of it. We will definitely be back again. Thank you

I’ve been to McCormick’s in the Bay Area and the steaks here in Edina are just as good! The bread was served warm, the bone-in Ribeye was seared to perfection. However, the sautéed spinach was way too salty for me. Overall, great food and good service at decent prices!

Good food and a pleasant experience but I didn't feel anything special about it. My memory of McCormick's in other parts of the USA was much more elegant and enjoyable. I left satisfied, but the ambience felt more like a hotel lounge and the waitress was not personable at all. We kept feeling rushed to finish - such as deciding what we wanted for dessert when my wife hadn't even finished the main courses. Additionally, she never came to pick up the empty appetizer plates before serving entrees. Both of us got fish, and it was definitely good portions. Spent $120+ after tips for 2 people. We got 1 appetizer (Crab stack), 2 non alcoholic drinks, 2 entrees and the apple pie.

We were invited to a surprise party at the restaurant. The hostess and main servers did well to keep it a secret and making sure we were seated in an area that was hidden. The atmosphere was a vibe. There were candle-like lights creating a warm glow. There was no music but the sounds of low conversations and silverware clinking. It was a vibe. The food was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the bone in steak medium (it came a bit medium-rare) so I would be sure to ask your server about how to check the steak to make sure it's per request. I ordered the Chilean sea bass which was good ( it was missing taste, actual seasoning that could have enhanced the sea bass.) I was a bit underwhelmed with the flavoring of the two dishes ordered but the presentation of the orders were phenomenal. We ended with dessert. I ordered the chocolate bag and my boyfriend ordered the pineapple brown sugar butter cake which came with a side of ice cream. The butter cake was so good the first order was shared with the table and the second order he inhaled for himself. We will be back for the butter cake, chocolate truffle bag, atmosphere, and service. McCormick's is a good establishment to try at least once to get your own feel for it. We enjoyed ourselves and wanted to try other items on the menu. Be aware that this is considered a four star restaurant and has the pricing to go with it. It is a passable occasion price that is worth it to spend every once in a while and it's not enough to leave you broke. The pricing is slightly over the affordable line. Try it and see. It'll be a great place for birthdays, anniversaries, dates, celebrations of some kind. (I enjoyed myself enough to forget to take photos 🤣).

Bought tickets for the outdoor barbecue event. Food was good. Half price Friday wine bottles was fun. Staff was delightful and friendly. The live music was perfect. Enjoyed the evening.

WEST AUSTRALIAN LOBSTER TAIL (8 OZ.) Scampi Shrimp Topped / Grilled Asparagus / Roasted Potatoes. I was happy with my dinner, my wife was not impressed with her steak. The side of asparagus for almost $10 that the waitress said would serve the 2 or 3 people was a very small serving.

Taste, cost and quality but not in that order is what I look for in a restaurant. Here is why it was just okay. First off service, that can really make your dining experience which tonight it lacked,a lot. Whether it be the water being refilled, simple requests taking a lot longer than it should or overall hospitality. I would understand if it was busy but it was a Tuesday and it wasn't busy at all... The lobster bisque was really salty and no chunks of lobster. The pistachio crusted Chilean sea bass was really good but the risotto it came with was subpar. Nothing stood out, plate presence was okay, and when you factor it all in you wonder why you're eating there... For having two entrees an app and hot tea the hundred plus dollar meal wasn't worth it. Put your money to another place that's really trying.

We've been going to McCormick and Schmick's for our family Christmas outing several years now...probably 15 or so. Everything we had was delicious!!!!! And, the manager came by, talked with us...then sent to our table a complimentary Creme'Brulee! Wonderful

Got bluepoint oysters (6) and ahi tuna. The oysters were the size of a penny and the ahi was tough and unimpressive with a few peppers scattered on the plate. For 38.00 I expected way more. Mom got fish and chips which were excellent. This was a special occasion and I was very disappointed.. BTW Mom was in a wheelchair which was a bit difficult finding a parking space. Shares with Hotel. Not sure we will be back. Good waitress however.

*Update April 2018* I decided to return with my wife for an anniversary dinner. The experience was similar to my first in a few ways. Once again the ambience was excellent - very upscale feel. The service, while friendly, was a little on the slow side, but not exactly a problem. The food was mixed. The burger was outstanding. (**Read this again** If you want a great burger and don’t mind spending $18, GO HERE*.) The trout was pretty good, but not exceptional. Value for the cost (understanding it’s an upscale establishment)? Acceptable. We will likely be back, but might consider returning for happy hour prices on those great burgers. Original 2017 Review: Good food, nice ambience, attentive service. Not mind-blowing, but certainly at or above par for lunch.

11.13.20 visiting from Florida and wanted to go somewhere nice and I must say, I was not disappointed! Started out with calamari (bland - needed salt), an iceberg wedge salad (deeeeelicious), and the sirloin steak with lobster tail (so yummy but the steak was a bit salty.... I guess it made up for the lack of salt on the calamari 😂🤣).

Food was just ok. Came out warm barely hot my butter wasnt even melting on my steak. The filet mignon was far from tender and more medium then medium well like I asked. The food was flavorless and had no type of taste or seasoning whatsoever. Overall it was very mediocre to me. This was my first time to the Edina location and I wouldn't come back. Service was a bit slow and definitely not great. Also would have been nice to know they had such a limited menu for Father's Day. We were not told that when booking so it was very unexpected and left us trying to pick something we really didn't want. One of the guests in our party is allergic to seafood and his only option was steak which was not what he wanted. I will stick to the downtown location if I ever do go back.

We had a nice time here for our anniversary. Good seafood! Nice wine list options also. I had scallops & my husband had the Ahi Tuna. (Flown in from Hawaii every 48 hrs we were told several times). Sat at a quiet table on the side. Dining room was big, nice with high ceilings. I forgot to take a pic but I did take food pics. They looked better in person!

The shrimp kisses were very different from any other starter- Blasting with flavor. I brought my mom in here late one evening- the final hour they were open- and our server was great. I said don’t worry we are fast eaters, and he reassured us it was fine and gave us a great dining experience with 0 pressure to hurry up or anything. Aside from the good food, ambiance, and classical music it was that type of 5 star service and treatment that separates this place from the rest. Hard to find sometimes!

I can honestly say that I have not experienced this level of service in year's. From being greeted, seated and fed, everything was phenomenal. We give all the credit to our server extraordinaire, Stacey. We were able to secure one of the private booths with curtains which was delightful. It blocked out noise and views of others. What a novel concept. By the end of our dining experience we wanted to adopt Stacy as she was just so much fun! Thank you Stacy and McCormick & Schmick's for a memorable birthday. We will definitely be back! BTW, the food was outstanding!

Went to M & S for lunch on Father’s Day, 6 of us. Most of our meals were very good, except for the halibut, which was too salty on a bed some sort of rice/spinach mixture that wasn’t very good. The rest of our meals were tasty and interesting, albeit pricey. Our waiter was excellent, attentive and efficient. The “chocolate bag” desserts we had were the high point — unique and delicious, THE BEST!

We try to go every year as a family for a Christmas meal, and every time they come through, the server was friendly and very knowledgeable about all the food and how everything should taste. My father and I ordered two different fish items and they accidentally switched the fish but the sauces that the same, and they were very apologetic about everything, we really didn't care cut we were able to try each other's dish. And the desserts were outstanding. I would recommend the apple pie dessert.

I want to give the place five stars. Half the stuff was excellent. The other half not as good. The mashed potatoes tasted and looked like instant, so only okay. The cuts of steak were cooked perfectly but were a little tougher than you’d expect for this price point of a restaurant.

We ordered appetizers, tuna good, fish tacos good. We also ordered a Cheese burger and fries 1st time fries were good the hamburger was a little bloody I like mine with no pink or medium well. The waitress brought us another Hamburger and fries. I think it upset the cook the burgers was black the fries overdone or recorded. The waitress was great.

We came in for date night and to enjoy Happy Hour and dinner on Friday, January 28, 2022. The bartenders as always were wonderful and very attentive! Fabulous drinks and great happy hour specials! The manager, Aaron is amazing and always makes us feel incredibly welcome! Each time we dine at McCormick & Schmick's it feels like coming home with the wonderful hospitality and fantastic service! I have been honestly super excited to try this place. Now that I have It is sad to say that the excitement went down the drain when I received my salmon, steamed white rice and green beans. The salmon I have to admit was really good however my rice was crunchy, my green beans were not cooked. They attempted to redo rice and green beans and rice still came out crunchy. When I think of steamed rice it should be soft. Green beans were a tad bit better after the redo. Thank goodness I had a gift card otherwise I would have cried having to pay full price for that meal. 3 stars only because of the salmon and the king crab 🦀 that I had on the side.

Absolutely fabulous. Our waitress... Needed more attentiveness. I asked for no ice in my water, extra tarter and she gave hubby and I eachothers cocktails. We still tipped at 22% because the manager stopped by to ask how we were. Supurb! You get 5 stars because Food was outstanding. We can handle iffy service when management and chefs are working hard. We'll definitely be back.

We ordered the Family Pack tonight. It was amazing. Stopped in to order and the gentleman that took the order said it would be ready in 12 min! Everyone had filets that were done perfectly. We had so much great food! Warm bread, salads, cheesecake and chocolate cake! Will definitely order again!

The Waitress was great. The Shrimp Scampi with Noodles was tasteless, no salt and the noodles were straight out of the water. The Shrimp was cooked well but dry due to no sauce. The Crabcake was over priced, I was served 1 and it was not memorable. There is a short of sauces for the seafood all around.

Celebrated my granddaughter's birthday. Most of the food was fabulous - salmon, filet mignon, fish and chips. I ordered the Chesapeake Shrimp with Chesapeake fries - I love shrimp so I figured I would not be disappointed. Yeah, not a big fan - just did not enjoy the flavor. The cheesecake drizzled with chocolate and heath bar was the bomb!!

Birthday dinner was stellar. My son likes to have a fancy dinner for his birthday each year. We have a regular spot where we usually go, though he wanted to try this restaurant this time. From the welcome to the special menus,to excellent service, everything was on point. The ribeye steaks were cooked perfectly, and the salmon fillets couldn't have been better. The only thing that wasn't great were the mussels. I'm not sure why they seem to be so hard to cook here. I make them at home and my son devours them with glee. Other than that, we have every reason to return. We will.

Usually a good place for fish. Atlantic Salmon was a little too cooked (beyond medium), but some salt and lemon dressing was good. Encstuted Big Hawaiian Ahi Tuna was over-done and lacked taste. But the kids salmon was a great portion with perfectly cooked green beans and mashed potatoes. Salmon overcooked, but okay for an 18-month who doesn't know the difference. The Caesar salad and walnut salad were good portions and not overdressed. Always love the hot, sourdough bread with whipped butter. M&S Iced Tea was tasty and not bozzy. Wine selections are plentiful and pared well with meals. Was a birthday dinner, which we noted, but nothing noted or special done for birthday guest. Maybe COVID-19 means just getting buy for dinner. Disappointing, so will likely not be back for a while

First time to visit, super clean, great service and the seafood was extraordinary. I joined the Landry's Club and plan to frequent other locations. We were celebrating my son accepting his registered nursing position at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. Really proud of him.

The seared tuna appetizer with pickled peppers was excellent. Our steak was better than some steak I've had at steakhouses. I added a scallop that was delicious. The vegetable medley could have been better. Mine was half onion chunks. My daughter got a beet that was tasty. The chocolate bag of fruit and mousse for dessert looked wonderful but was very bland. The chocolate silk pie was much better. Our waiter was top notch.

My steak was very good but my husband's fish was a bit dry. I like the atmosphere and our service was nice but my biggest complaint would be the woman sitting across from us watching TV on her cell phone loud enough I could hear the whole 2 episodes of whatever she was watching. I can deal with a unruly child at a table because parents can't always find a sitter to enjoy a night out and we can't always control when our children need a nap but this is a grown woman that doesn't even understand respect. I have had some bad experiences here. Now wait right there, yes you're seeing 5 stars. I have been here probably about 6+ times and now decided to write a review. There have been a few times going here that have been nothing special. One or two that have been magical, but two very distinct times where it was bad. The first experience was lots of shell bits in the oysters, overcooked shrimp along with very overly garlic appetizers. The second time was a wrong order of a drink and the wrong meal coming out, making one of our party wait another 20 minutes for her actual meal. Both times the servers could not have handled it better. They were curt, apologetic and made sure to make it right by 1) offered to exchange the poor food, but upon us saying we would rather not and just cut our losses and leave, comped the meal. and 2) let the member of the party keep the wrong dish and gave us all free desert. Any time you come here will be great, and even if it turns out bad, you will be taken care of.

There was 9 of us there celebrating a birthday. The waitress greeted us kindly. We were waiting for some of our party to arrive from the airport. We waited a long time to get our drinks. The waitress never told us here name. She was never at our table long enough to ask questions. We ordered horsedouvers and an additional round of drinks. The rest of our company arrived and we ordered dinner. The dinner was very good! The waitress never gave us a choice of desert.....delivered the usual to the birthday person, dropped off the checks and left. No questions of whether we wanted another cocktail or coffee. We were a bit disappointed in this restaurant as they usually have top notch staff!

We ordered the wild much room bruchetta for our appetizer and it was quite good, although it could have used more cheese. The stuffed salmon was okay but tasted kind of fishy. The chocolate bag dessert was the highlight of the mean and fantastic. What I really didn't like is that our server hardly stopped at the table. We had to stop her to ask to order oysters, and I had to ask for a refill on my pop. She would just dissapear for long stretches of time and with the prices they charge I expect better wait service

Absolutely fabulous meal and service from David was superb! My veteran husband was treated to a free meal for Memorial Day. He had the beef medalians and I ordered the lump crab stuffed shrimp. So so yummy. We enjoyed their house Chardonnay. And for dessert I had creme brulee and he had their walnut upside down apple pie. Enjoyed this meal so much! Food was expertly prepared. Our favorite spot for happy hours. I wish they had them Saturdays and Sundays like the downtown location, but you can't beat a delicious, 1/2 pound burger with french fries for $4.95. Also a superb deal are the cocktails. You can get a gin or vodka martini -- superbly made by their expert bartenders -- for $6. During the warmer months, sit outside on the patio. When it gets colder or is raining, arrive before 5pm because tables and even chairs at the bar can be pretty hard to score.

The host was confounding staring deep into an iPad as each successive diner tried to check in. About as friendly as a wet sock. The prices are quite high for smallish portions and food that is more or less describable as adequate. I got the unmistakable I pression that this is a place where people go who want to feel like they are going to a fancy place but it is decidedly pedestrian with no real sense of place or authenticity.

For a $40 meal per person (with one drink per person), I have had much better meals, total meal cost for the two of us was around $110 with tip. I had the walleye, it was decent but not the best I've ever had or would expect for what we paid. My girlfriend had the salmon which looked great until you realized that it was positioned on top of a large mound of green beans and mashed potatoes, the actual amount of meat was rather small. To top off the meal, our wonderful waiter and his goatee was not the nicest waiter. Overall I did not feel like I had a positive experience at McCormick and Schmick's. Other than that I would say this meal would be adequate had we paid half the price anywhere else. Go to Wildfire, Go to Rinata. Go to Salsa A La Salsa, we have been to a lot of other restaurants that treat us well with good service! Happy Valentine's Day!!
