Reviews of Lela
Umie
What an awesome place! The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience of the restaurant was spot on. However, the star of the evening was Todd behind the bar! Not only did he remember my unique name after hearing it once, but his warm, friendly and witty conversation made the night absolutely memorable. Wish it was open Sundays and later into the evening. Will be back!

I think the atmosphere is pretty good and it is definitely a good place in the area for people to gather. Certain parts of the restaurant are darker and there may not be enough light even when it is daytime. The server recommended the meatballs, and I could see why. A picture of the meatballs was also on the website. They were made from pork, beef, veal, and tomato garlic confit, and the overall taste was a great combination of all of those. For both the snapper ceviche and the ahi tuna poke, there was not enough ceviche / poke but a lot of nachos on the side. The heirloom tomato & burrata was a good starter as well. Its taste could be off depending on the person's taste. To me, it was pretty good. In terms of the dessert, I recommend the chocolate molten cake a la mode. The crème brûlée was tasty as well. Overall it was a fancy place and one to go for special occasions. I would consider it a place that parties of 3 and above can go to when around the area!

We went for anniversary dinner. Ordered 2 small plates, 1 large plate and dessert. Portion was enough for 2 adults. Our expectation was really high and taste didn't meet our expectation. Ambience inside the restaurant is good.
Nick Bossman
In short it was fantastic. Sea bass, scallops, crab cake, steak, kids spaghetti. All dishes were awesome. They have homemade pasta and I tried some of the spaghetti and will be getting pasta next time. Purple Bulleit is pictured and was good too!
Carolina Margaria
Food was good as was the service. Happy Hour menu is only available at the bar.
Overall not amazing but probably one of the best hotel restaurants I have tried.
Baramee Chindavong
The cocktails are delicious. The staff is good (they were a little short staffed this night). The service was good. The food was good...not quite as good as I remembered. The fries are definitely delicious and worth it. The space and atmosphere is nice. It's a gr at option for the area.

My wife and I had a great time. Todd really took care of us at the bar and was fun to hang out and talk with. He made excellent drinks and the dinner suggestions were also superb. Highly recommended!

We were skeptical due to the fact it is a “hotel” restaurant. But wow, we were wrong to prejudge! The food and service were impeccable. We had the Lobster Deviled Egga, Caesar salad, Coulotte steak, and the steak tagliatellini, carrots, and the pomme frite. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Very attentive staff. Can’t wait to come back!
Tofu Man
Excellent service, very prompt and friendly. The restaurant was very clean with open kitchen. I like the open space and it was well lit. I ordered the Wild Boar Ribs and that was very interesting (please see photo). The steak only comes just the steak with no sides, so you would need to order a side dish if you want veggies.

The food is delicious, but the service is slow.
The brunch is excellent, since besides getting seated you aren't waiting to order. It includes the amazing meatballs from their lunch and dinner menu, perfect fruit, a shrimp tower, and tiny adorable delicious pastries. I'm also partial to the whipped cream and berries, and like to add the whip to a cup of coffee.
Lunch and dinner menu are great. Highly recommend the meatball, beet or Caesar salad, lobster gnocchi, and pappardelle. The ceviche is tasty but it does come with cilantro that they can't remove, so fair warning if you don't like cilantro. Lobster deviled eggs are good, but you get 2 whole eggs, so it might be a bit pricey for what you get.
Overall, amazing food, I just really wish they'd have more of a sense of urgency about getting you seated.

This is located in a hotel - fun decor, our service was outstanding we had lunch. My salad was fabulous I had the deviled eggs and a blackened shrimp salad. My husband loved the pasta Bolognese and that's one of his favorite dishes to order.
Desserts we're tasty.
I also really liked the wine glass wall it was very clever and interesting.
Give this one a try we really enjoyed it!!

Lela is a very nice restaurant with a upscale vibe, which is attached to the Sheraton Hotel.
I came to Lela for Easter Brunch.
Which is $39, for $10 extra you can enjoy bottomless mimosas or bloody marys.
There was a dessert bar.
A salad, soup, breakfast pastries, cold seafood (crab/lobster claw, shrimp cocktail), fresh fruits, 2-3 entrees (prime rib & salmon with a side of corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, boiled starches).
I would say the food selections were minimal.
The dessert selections were delicious.

Good Breakfast Experience with coworkers on a Sunday morning. Ala Carte sides and a little higher priced but the food was worth the cost. Clean and comfortable atmosphere. It is attached to the Sheraton Hotel. The omelette was good and most for the money in opinion as it included hash browns and toast. Recommended and would eat here again.
Shashwat P. Baxi
The restaurant is in the Sheraton hotel, so don’t get lost trying to find it. It has plenty of parking and is big and beautiful on the inside. The service was fine, nothing to really note. The food was also good, but my only complaint was that the portions weren’t worth the prices. Otherwise, it was a good dining experience!

Lela is well worth a visit. The menu is comprised of many traditional items, all made with a creative twist (think lobster deviled eggs). Each item we ordered tasted richer than the last. The Tuna Tacos (appetizer) were my favorite.
S Rao
Friendly service. Good breakfast stop. Wide range of breakfast options. Kids menu is not on the list however they do serve pancakes and when available cold cereals for kids.
Holly Hartling
We had a fantastic 8 course Omakase dinner featuring an amazing mushroom risotto, wild boar, barramundi, duck, and a steak that was so perfection, it just melted in your mouth! Extremely generous portions, and we spied some incredible salads, sweet buns, lamb and desserts come out of the kitchen as well. The space is gorgeous and would be a fantastic place to host anything from a business dinner to a romantic date. We will be back, for sure, we heard bunch is out of this world!
Steve Oates
This place is a hidden gem in a Sheraton Hotel, separate entrance. Classy but not fancy, very modern interior. Very creative menu with three different sizes of plates so you can have what fits your appetite or mood. Everything from raw fish to salads, steaks, and pasta dishes. Food was presented beautifully.
Sherrl Carpenter
Great place. Love the staff, clean bathrooms, moreover, great food. Open Thanksgiving Day. Our server was one of the kindest that I have ever met. Included in pictures.
Mike Yao
We have family dinner and the service and food are good. Lamb is our favorite dish. The desert donuts in the picture is unique. Gift card is available. $100 for 80.
Matt Paulsen
Wow, the salad was fresh and the dressing was super flavourful.
The real winner here is the bolognese pappardelle, it was unreal.
To be honest the price of the dishes and the quality is amazing. At this level of quality I would expect to pay double or more.
Love it.
Virginia Worthington
This restaurant has a great happy hour! The lobster deviled eggs, margarita flatbread. blackened shrimp and skirt steak street tacos were delicious and reasonable. Our server Adel was amazing! Ask for Adel!
Sara Gronfeld
We visited the restaurant on a Monday evening with a group of 5. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu details and provided excellent recommendations. Our entrees were professionally prepared and flavorful. The service was wonderful. We were completely satisfied with our visit to this restaurant and look forward to a return visit!
MarquezTyrell Kincade
Food is amazing. Tapas portions yet every dish is packed with flavor.
Amazing staff whether for breakfast or dinner A1 team & atmosphere.
Negma Farah
We went during restaurant week and it was such great food!
Katie Roggow
Fantastic food and I would return bc of the quality. I had the Northern Girl cocktail, Mediterranean salad with salmon, shared the petite carrots, and the molton chocolate cake a la mode. Absolutely delicious. All the food was cooked to perfection. No excess salt and even the dessert was exceptionally balanced. Not too sweet. Easy access. Service was nice. The patio is a bit disappointing due to being in front of hotel, so freeway noise is present, but not overwhelming.
Hailee
Phenomenal breakfast. I highly recommend this place. Service was great and the food left us speechless. The restaurant is beautiful. Can’t wait to come back and try their dinner menu!
Natalia Rivera
We stayed at the hotel and ate here our last night in town. The food was a little over priced for what you get, and the service wasn't excellent, we had to ask for more water and couldn't find our server when we needed salt, food was cold by the time we finally got it.
Hannah Smith
Cool vibe and great cocktail list! Service was good, food was delicious!
Tara Miller-Hochhalter
Lela's Wine Dinner Series - excellent food and wine pairings. Delightful ambiance and caring, friendly General Manager.
Angela Brain
Lovely food! The butternut squash ravioli was light and super-flavorful! Savor it!
Marco Andrés Suarez Ortiz
Good multilingual service, nice environment and I loved the food, just exactly what you should eat and a wonderful flavor.
Bill Green
I was really pleasantly surprised with my steak @ Lela. I expected a good steak, but it was remarkable. And with the different gourmet salts to compliment the very flavorful, tender cut of beef...WOW! I highly recommend
Carolyn Sue Dunn
The shrimp scampi was really good. And the smoked salmon Flatbread was awesome!
Amy Lindmark
A must try Sunday Brunch! So many options and they are all amazing. I liked that there was a wide variety so that adults and kids could both enjoy the meal. Thank you!
JS Bani
Always a treat to eat here, my kiddo loved her fancy dessert. We will be back.
Brian Meidlinger
Eaten here many times. Italian inspired, everything is very good, and staff is great. Don't overlook the deviled eggs, best I've had. Also, being part of the Sheraton, makes it a great place to stay.
Tiffany Veness
My husband and I stayed at the hotel and went to dinner at Lela’s. It was fantastic!! Food, drinks, atmosphere and the staff!! Especially Christopher our bartender!! So amazing we were Back the second night to hang! He made our trip!! Will definitely be back!!
Chicken Dumpling
The interesting selections of salt took the steak to a whole different level.
D Billy
Great ambiance!!! staff was amazing, try the roasted chicken or an abundance of cocktails
Damdouan Carlson
Great food. Beautiful restaurant but our server was a little slow. We'll go back there again.
Sainath Kallur
Hands down, one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. Waiter gave us complimentary drinks and deserts because it was our friend's birthday. He suggested entres that were fantastic. I had the shrimp scampi and my friends had the mussels and the burger. Flavors were balanced, the food was well seasoned and made with fresh ingredients. It was priced decent as well. I would even say underpriced for the quality. One of the best dining experiences in our opinion.
Joshua Norris
Always a great time. Food and service were wonderful. We hosted a surprise party here and it couldn't have been better. There was a continuous train of servers with appetizers and the drinks kept pouring.
Todd Elliott
Chris and Todd are great bartenders! Make ya feel at home and hustle. Food is fantastic but small portions. Get an appetizer if really hungry. Overall, great place for food and drinks.
Marisa Silversides
Fantastic service, delicious food! Complimentary breakfast entree up to $25 for Club guests and Platinum status Bonvoy members or higher. Can't wait to come back and try the other delicious breakfast entrees. Closed Sundays, though.
R
Best kept secret. The food is world class and the property is inviting.
Laura Trantham
Fabulous food and service. Great "Omakase" dinners with chef Stewart. Daily happy hours offer great options. The meatball and crab cakes are delicious.
Billie
The wagyu burger was great--the gochujang really puts it over the top--but the people are what sets Lelas apart--Kathy has phenomenal recommendations and is one of the kindest front of house staff I've ever met. WELL worth the trip!!!
Lindsey Klinkenberg
We were staying at a nearby hotel for our anniversary when we stumbled upon Lela's. We decided to check it out and could not be more impressed with the service we received. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and we immediately felt comfortable and welcome! Our server was so helpful and informative and pleasant. All of our meals tasted fantastic!! Thanks to Adel we felt like we were right at home and left with very happy full bellies!! Thank you so much Adel!!
Stephanie Courtney
Excellent service excellent food. This was probably the 6th time we enjoyed ourselves. We make it a "must" for birthdays, anniversary's and holidays
Brent Clennon
Everything about our visit to Lela was perfect. We went on Valentine's day. Our waiter, Adelle, explained the history if the restaurant, the menu items, and provided A+ service the entire evening. The food was all delicious. We had the salmon, the new York strip, the Brussels, and the carrots. Everything tasted amazing. We will most definitely be going back here soon.
Vanessa Carlson
My husband and I have traveled all over the world. We've eaten in Paris, London, Barcelona etc... Then we came to Lela. Our expectations were low, but it took the action of one server, Adele, to make us have the most unbelievable experience. He guided us through the Italian inspired menu. His description of the ahi tuna, steak tagliatellini and new York strip were all on the money. His recommendation of wine was a harmonious accompaniment to our dinners. He was prompt, humorous, knowledgeable and such a joy. Its official, We are making Lela our new hangout.
Joy MN
Beautiful space, natural lighting, private seating, open kitchen, delicious food ($15 for a 3 course lunch), and absolutely terrific service! Sarah, our server made my friend and I aware of the soup of the day, she made lovely recommendations and checked in an appropriate amount of times and each staff member seemed to work together to make sure all water glasses were topped up, dirty dishes were taken and guests were happy. The manager, Andrew was also so very pleasant and friendly! I highly recommended the lobster deviled eggs for a small app and the bolognese for the main course!
Hope to frequent this restaurant often!
Amnon Nachshon
Service needs some love. Place looks great and food is good.
Brandon Lambert
The Sunday brunch was great. All the usual content plus extras like steak, crab claws, shrimp, chicken and waffles, and paella. A reasonable price for a great selection. Service was good but sparse. If you pay extra for the bottomless mimosas plan on taking someone down to get a second one.
Andrea
Delightful appetizers! The meatball can be shared with at least 4 and was delicious. The burrata and tomato bruschetta had great flavor and the scallops were perfectly cooked with a tasty sauce.
Niveditha G
We were staying at the Sheraton for a night. So just because it was convenient & had pretty good reviews also, we decided to go here for breakfast.
I got the Avocado poached eggs and the husband got the Crepes & Ham. Both were absolutely delicious. I savoured every bite and was satisfyingly full by the end of my meal. It was a good portion. Although the price is a little bit on the high side, the quality and ambience make it worth it.
Curt Gauen
Had breakfast - 3 egg egg white omlet. I thought the service was efficient. Food was very tasty. The only reason i wouldn't give it 5 stars is because at $35 for an omlet, coffee and OJ, that's pretty pricey.
Lori Steinhilber
I would give it more stars but I have some issues. The breakfast food was great, nice variety but expect to pay a little more. Not a bad thing.
The evening meals were very small and over priced. I ate here 3 times for dinner as I was staying for a week. My co-worker ordered some wings for an appetizer, received 3 and they had hardly any meat on them. It was more about presentation than the customer.
Emily Brink
This was nice. Very cute atmosphere and friendly staff. Not crowded, which was great. I wish our waitress would have been a little more regular about refilling my coffee, but the bananas foster waffles were extremely yummy.
Melissa Wicklander
We went there by chance and we were so thankful! We started with the deviled eggs, don't let the high price for an egg fool you, it was fantastic! I ordered gnocchi and my boyfriend ordered the scampi, both were delicious and perfect portion size. The bread that was offered tasted like they made it fresh in house and was a wonderful addition to our meal. I ordered a chocolate cake which was rich and served with the only fruit sauce I've ever enjoyed with a chocolate cake. Service was also wonderful, our server was attentive without hovering and the manager was pleasant and charming. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Lela to everyone!
Naz Bilgic
Came here yesterday for a brunch with my friend. As an interior architect i think the ambience was really beautiful and sophisticated. They had varied food options. Especially i loved their pastries! The staff was professional. We also had a chance to meet with GM Jeremy and he was so kind.
Jennifer
We enjoyed our meal and the experience overall. Food was delicious. Staff was attentive and genuinely caring. It was a special treat to have my chair pulled out for me when seated. The attention to detail regarding each guest was impressive.
Eric Majerus
It was rather expensive for breakfast but I loved every part of the buffet I tried. Nice selection for meat lovers and the ingredients felt premium.
Also, I had a dry cappuccino and it was excellent. The espresso wasn't sour and the server asked what degree of dry I wanted.
Ann Tally
Our family went for brunch, and the spread was lovely. The omlete to order was really fun, and I also had salad, charcuterie, cheese, yogurt and berries. My husband enjoyed the hot foods, but was expecting more from the paella. It was busy, and they seemed understaffed for the number of tables. A bit overpriced for brunch at $29/person, but I enjoyed it. I'm glad I went, but might not go again for brunch unless it was less expensive.
Anthony Sciuto
The coffee was good, and the atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant was phenomenal. However the lunch special with soup, salad, and sandwich of the day was disappointing. The others in my party seemed happy with the individual items they ordered, so perhaps that’s the best route to take.
However, one thing about my visit annoyed me. After my party of six was seated and waiting for a bit, we had to ask the host to ask the waitress to come take our orders (that’s fine, it happens). But, when the waitress finally made an appearance, she went first to an even larger party that was seated much after us causing our food and drink orders to be put behind in the queue. I’d estimate we probably sat there for 20 minutes before we received our initial drinks, on a day when the restaurant was not even busy.
I’d go back, but with the expectation of a longer dining experience, and I would not order the soup, salad, and sandwich lunch special.
Mingmo L
This restaurant is a wonderful date spot. The waitress took very good care of us. She made a wonderful recommendation on the wine in which we found to be our new favorite. The food was delicious and blew my mind. Definitely will be going back for special occasions.
Stefano De Vito
We reserved at the last minute and arrived a little ahead of schedule. This restaurant is situated in Sheraton Hotel with an easy access and ample parking. The dining experience was excellent. The service staff, ambiance and food were good. The sommelier changed our wine as it wasn't what we expected. They were very accommodating. I would not hesitate to recommend it.
Monique Schmitt
Holy holy holy. Good grief I wish I knew about this hidden gem ages ago. This place is everything I’d want: quaint atmosphere, sophisticated yet home grown food, mind blowing cocktails.
The portion sizes for the pastas were small, however after my husband and I had our own individual dishes, we decided to split a third pasta dish and it was delicious. I felt like I was in an Italian grandma’s kitchen. We had the ahi tuna poke for an appetizer. The burst of flavor from the capers made the dish.
We both had a steak tag pasta and split the bolognese pasta dish, finished our dinner with the molten chocolate cake. My husband had the Moscow mules and I had the Fireside and the Purple Bulleit cocktails. Both incredible.
I can’t wait to make this a regular celebration spot. 50/10.
Melody Ikonomovski
The $15 lunch special is a great value on good food, but keep in mind you will only get $15 worth of food. The pasta portions are very small. Their pasta dishes are quite good. Less impressed with their sandwiches overall, but with a sandwich you do get their amazing fries! Don't overlook this hotel restaurant for lunch!
Gurinder Sundal
We enjoyed breakfast at Leela. The menu has some good choices. Breakfast was cooked perfectly and portions were generous. Our server was attentive and kept my coffee full. We'll try dinner or lunch next time we stay here.
James Dang
Really good food and up to date restaurant. Had breakfast here and was awesome meal. However, our waitress did not greet us for a long time when we sat down and had to wait for an extended period before being able to place an order. Hence, the 4 stars. Better staff and service would receive a 5.
Karen Sonday
My favorite happy hour in the Twin Cities! All the wait staff is amazing but Adel is especially wonderful. Excellent food, cocktails, wine, atmosphere. Not too noisy. Love the patio. I'm a fan!
kelly finnessy
Charlie the waiter had amazing recommendations. I wouldn't have tried. So glad I did. Wonderful food. Amazing drinks. Sammi listened to what we liked and chose such amazing wines for our meals. Prices reasonable. They took spectacular care of us and made it a beautifull experience. Modern atmosphere lots of windows
Chris Martin
Lela is a nice hotel bar/restaurant. Bartenders were very attentive and they had a good HH menu and drink specials. A little pricey, but it is a hotel. If you're staying at the Marriott - Bloomington try Lela.
Daniel Taverne
Wonderful experience here at Lela in the Sheraton Hotel in Bloomington. Food came quickly, tasted good. They are not in a rush here, but if you need a quick quality meal that won’t break the bank you will find it here at Lela’s. Had appetizers last night at the bar, and eggs Benedict ($14) with oatmeal ($8) this morning in the dining room. Highly recommend this establishment to anyone in the area.
Ayah Helmy
We hosted a baby shower in the private space at the back of the restaurant. The management was incredibly helpful in helping us choose a set menu and figure out a budget. They provided us with platters for the desserts we brought in and allowed us to decorate the room to our liking. We had a wonderful waitress named Summer. She was attentive, bubbly, and incredibly helpful. She even climbed up and helped us put up the decor! We had a pretty large party (around 24 adults plus 4-5 kids) so some of the food came out room temperature but the staff fixed that right away and with a smile.
Tony Middendorf
Killed some time here for weekday breakfast. First, this place is gorgeous. We sat at a beautiful marble bar. Shared a lox bagel which was phenomenal. Mimosas were also great. Only negative was the service. We were there at a slow time and our server was ... aloof. She was friendly but inattentive. She also forgot to give me my CC back after paying the bill. But, she was very kind. I'm sure we just caught them at a weird time. We might come back for a nice dinner sometime.
Marc Dockter
Fantastic dinner! Ceviche was amazing, as was the crudo. We both had pasta dishes that were great, but the lobster gnocchi was absolutely to die for. The bar made us very good sazeracs and the tiramisu was fabulous for dessert! We'll definitely be back when it's time to celebrate another occasion with a fancy meal.
Bailey Fazzio
My husband and I really enjoyed our service. I wish I could remember the name of our waiter...I wanna say it was Charlie/Charles? He was very knowledgeable about the menu and steered us in the right direction for ordering a complete dinner. We never waited long for food, water, or our check.
The Menu doesn't really have a wide selection, but we were able to find food we liked. The food was prepared very well! It was a great atmosphere, not the greatest view (a parking lot) but it had great natural lighting!
Thank you Lela for making our celebratory dinner a success!
Amanda Dickman
Ambiance, service & food was great! I went there for Restaurant Week, but it would be very expensive had we not been there during that time. First time trying ceviche and it was delicious!! Meatball was so moist and my salmon had the best tasting caramelized fennel on top. Salted caramel pear cake was interesting, but there was something about the texture I didn't really care for.
Tobin Frederiksen
Food was flavorful and presentation beautifully done. The portions are on the smaller side, especially for the two breakfast items we got. The wait staff is inattentive and seemed dazed. The $15 lunch select 3 was the only highlight for our two tries over the weekend. The desserts being the favorite course by far. As an FYI coffee is $4 and the two times I ordered it I had to flag people down to get a refill.
Gabriel Anderson
One of the best hidden gems I've found in the Twin Cities. Classy fine dinning at it's best for a relatively affordable price. Staff is wonderful and the plating of the food looks fantastic. I can understand why they don't get a lot of business since they are hidden away from the main road a bit, but I hope they get more notoriety due to their fantastic service and food.
I come back all the time and make sure to being friends when I can to spread the word.
David Gutierrez
Excellent food! My Yellow tail tuna was cooked and tasted to profection, also the grill chicken tasted very good and juice can use a little better in presentation of the dishes. The price was good. Over all it was great. I will recommend it and I will be back!
Reanna Silmon
Best brunch buffet EVER! The most tender steak I have ever had on a buffet! Seafood rice dish with great crab claws! Love the desserts! So so good I will be back! My new fav spot for sure!
Karen Moua
Had brunch with my mom and sisters. All the flavors were great. I thought the selection was decent for the price. There were your typical brunch food: pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, chicken and biscuits. There were also some pleasant surprises too like steak with chimichurri sauce, seafood paella, a pasta station and salmon croquette with remoulade.
The website boasted of a seafood tower which excited me the most to try this brunch. However, this feature was the most disappointing selection of the brunch.
Overall I would recommend and would come back again.
Tarah Peters
Food is fantastic, but the owner is even better! He'll put a smile on your face and go out of his way to make sure your experience was great. The tuna tacos (the shells made of plantains) are hands down the best appetizer. ♥
Mike S.
Amazing bar, food, service and ambiance, whether you are staying at the next door hotel (Sheraton) or trying to impress.
Caelen Cater
Awesome food. Tonight it is a 3 star experience because It was a little busy the night I went, and there were only 3 waiters working. But I think it usually is a 4 star experience.
Roshan Rajkumar
Lela has been a good lunch spot, but it was an even better dinner spot. Easily made reservations via OpenTable. Kind greeting by the host, and fabulous service by Adele. He let us know what were the go-to menu items, including the Lamb Chop, which didn't disappoint. The Cedar Plank Salmon was outstanding with an amazing relish topping. And the house cocktails were fantastic. We will be back.
Hnou
They have a wonderful Sunday Brunch for $40. They have paella, seafood tower, chorizo omelet, and other delicious brunch essentials. I highly recommend you trying it. Also, the bottomless mimosas are amazing. The Bellini was light, crispy, and sweet. The staff is super nice and the interior is clean, bright, and modern. Try this hidden treasure!
Robert Lynn
We had a great evening on Friday night.
My girlfriend enjoyed her lamb chops and I had a short ribs from their special menu which was recommend me. Thanks Jeep.
Highly recommended for all occasions and date night. Planning to visit again.
Thank you lela

Wow, I went there tonight, and the food was amazing! My husband took the time to taste his yellow fin tuna (I even got a small bite), and my meal was phenomenal! The server was very attentive, and even the manager check on us a few times!. Will definitely be back again when in the cities!
William Wagner
A fantastic and creative breakfast menu served by a staff that cares. The very positive and upbeat attitude really makes the experience worth it. We will be back.
Bailey Guillemette
Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere and amazing food. Worth the price!
Maria Heshmat G
Fantastic steak, like, downtown steak house quality, without the traffic, or parking hassles. Shrimp scampi ordered as a side dish, and WORTH IT.
Charlee
Staff is hit or miss- either a little rough on the edges for this establishment and environment, but at least friendly OR a little more experienced and refined, yet somewhat snobby. Need Happy Medium. 1/2 time, longer waits than expected- I typically eat alone and orders are usually smaller. Otherwise, clean, beautiful, tucked-away gem.
Danielle Wachter
Main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it had a bit more of a hotel bar feel than I would've liked. Open and dark, it was a nice hotel bar, but little things like the main dining room being set with coffee cups and the lack of intimate tables made it feel like I was there on a business trip.
We went for late Happy Hour and the food was awesome. Got the dimplings--they were fried not steamed, but the sauce was delicious, flavorful and my favorite part. Street tacos were also great. Margarita flatbread was far from normal margarita pizza, but still pretty good, probably my least favorite. We ended with the poems frites, which were perfectly salty and peppery and came with a finger-licking good bernaise.
My drink wasn't my favorite--got the smokey rouge and it was too sweet. I usually count on tequila to pack a bit of a punch, but the drink really lacked tang as far as I was concerned.
Nate Nipper
Super high quality food at a fair price. Cocktails were a little on the steep side as to be expected attached to a hotel. Kiel the server was fantastic. Overall well above expectations.
David Rust
I have eaten here four times, now, and each visit has been memorable with truly spectacular food and service! I confess, I've yet to have dinner, here; I've been to Lela for 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches. But, if they're as good with their evening meals as they are with their earlier-in-the-day fare, I know I'll enjoy it!
The waitstaff is professional, crisp, and attentive. They perform with perfection and without flaw. Small, everyday requests (such as drinks with no ice, a table for someone plus-sized, extra butter, or salad dressing on the side) are met with a smile and prompt attention to detail.
Now, since most reviews here seem focused on dinner, I'd like to heartily recommend Lela's breakfasts. The menu is small but to-the-point. This morning, I had the eggs Benedict. Do not expect a typical version of the dish, either. Neither the one I had this morning nor the crab-cake version I had on my last visit are "typical". The chef uses prosciutto rather than salt pork or Canadian bacon and serves the eggs (perfectly poached, I might add) over a lightly toasted slice of ciabatta. The hashbrowns accompanying the main dish were light, crispy-on-the-outside, and not heavy. The portion was not over-large but also not minuscule: just the right way to start the day!
The prices at Lela are a bit higher than the average family dining establishment but you get what you pay for. The value in perfectly-prepared food with creative riffs on the standard cannot be over-emphasized. Yes, you can get more food at some buffet or going to a Perkins but what you get won't be even a fraction of the quality I keep getting, time and again, at Lela.
So, there you have it: my review of a truly fine restaurant, nestled away on the first floor of the Sheraton hotel! Go! Try it! Enjoy!
Ryan Benedict
Went here for Christmas Day brunch this year. This place isn't kid friendly for sure. Unless you children like adult food. Plus brunch = breakfast + lunch. However, all food items were lunch fare. There were no breakfast items. No pancakes, eggs, or morning meat items. The food they did have wad good, desert selection was great. It just wasn't what was expected, or for kids.
Vince Cuneo
4 of us at dinner. Happy hour has unreasonably priced food and drinks. I will do this some time.
3 of the homemade pasta dishes were excellent. Ragu, bolenaise And lobster. I had crudo sample which was good not great. Tuna tacos conceptually should be better but they are just ok, hamachi was really good, rare tuna ok. The steak tartar was excellent.
Wine and drink list excellent.
Modern atmosphere. We liked it. Our server was good.
Pat Meyer
The atmosphere at Lela is wonderful, because the space makes great use of natural light, and the furnishings are fresh, contemporary, and comfortable. The food is absolutely fantastic, even my picky son likes it - and he likes next to nothing. The staff tries very, very hard to make a personal connection with everyone. They are attentive, kind, and personable. If I could, I would give Lela 10 stars, if that many were available.
Kelly Anderson
The service was excellent. The ambiance is lovely. The food is overpriced and the portions are small. My salad had 4 shrimp. The red onions were bitter and overpowered the taste of the salad.
Tim Ipema
Granted, I sat at the bar and the bartender was a bit disheveled and distracted, but the food was excellent and the ambience understated elegance. I am from Chicago, a restaurant city in its own right, and I was highly impressed by both the quality and flavor of the dinner offerings. The only reason I am not rating Lela 5 stars is due to the distracted and disorganized bartender. Otherwise, you need to eat here!
Anita FG
Waiter wouldn't ask if we were done eating, he would just pick up the plate. Plates need more presentation. However he did lower the shades when requested....Thank YOU! Didn't like the jean and sneaker look too casual for such a nice looking restaurant. Before leaving the check why don't servers ask if we need anything else? This happens at almost all the restaurants. Food was good! That is the only reason for the 3 stars.
Sarah Keepers
The meal was fantastic and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
John w
Lela knocked hospitality out of the park.
Staff was attentive, friendly & provided honest recommendations. The “steak tagliatellini” took beef stroganoff to the next level & the leftovers didn’t last long in the fridge. I was impressed with the presentation of the crab cake; however, I thought the dish could have benefitted from additional acidity. Although tasty, I found the “halibut sashimi” a bit confusing. The emphasis seemed to favor additional ingredients over raw fish & I wasn’t blown away with the presentation.
Lela is most definitely a “fun & laid back atmosphere” – perfectly suited for a celebration. Thank you for taking such excellent care of us.
Carlo Barone
It was ok. Nice people, ok food. We all know how far hotel restaurants have come over the past few years, this was not one of them. We ordered a couple of apps: beef vegetable soup and Caesar salad. The soup looked like the Bradys housekeeper Alice made it, and the salad was out of every restaurant in the 70s. I had penne pasta with sun dried tomatoes. They overpowered everything, it was inedible. So why 3 staes? It doubles as breakfast in the same hotel. I had a great bagel with lox. Boring, but delicious.
Christopher Brooks
The cut of steak was fantastic; it was just over seasoned and over cooked. And for the price, should really come with a side or two, even just a salad. Just meat on a plate. Great service though and very attentive.
John Armstrong
Went here on a date night with my wife. Our server (Brandon if I remember right) was absolutely FANTASTIC! Gave us a nice walk through of the menu and timed our courses out quite well. Food was excellent.
Nick Manjrekar
The food was delicious. If I pass through that town, I will visit them. The menu is limited but on Point.
Emily H
Food was all good, nothing that "wowed" or that was as good as many of the other high end restaurants in the area. Went with 3 others and none of us would go back. Disappointing with how great Stewart Woodman's cooking has been in the past. Service was ok, nothing great, casual compared to what was expected at this type of restaurant.
Abbe Pedersen
Went there last night for happy hour. Great atmosphere, the most delicious food, good wine and the most fabulous waiter - Adel. He was attentive without being intrusive, professional and a lovely person.
Amanda Smith
It’s always such a great experience! Especially now that Adel is back! So happy to see him again! He always makes our time there so enjoyable!
Kristeen Bullwinkle
Loved the lunch menu with reasonable sized appetizer, entre, and dessert. Great food. Lots of light. Good service. Will go back.
Adam L
Wonderful food, and service was great! Adel was the best server I’ve had in a long time. We will be back again.
Jasmine Eldeen
This place is absolutely incredible. My evening turned from Happy Hour to a dinner party because the food was that good. We ended up order almost everything on the menu. Thank you for doing it right!
Drew Johnson
Surprisingly great find in the burbs. Service was a bit slow, but it was a Monday night so I won't take that out on them. The Broccoli Cheddar is unreal and the bolognese is incredible.
Ali K.
We stayed in the Sheraton and where this restaurant is located. We had a wonderful meal starting with Ceviche and crabcake. Amazing. Followed by Lobster gnocchi and I had the sirloin steak. Service and food both outstanding. You must try the Ceviche.
Tyronne Davidson
Wait staff was prompt and polite even in the midst of a busy convention. The food was excellent and the atmosphere is quite relaxing. Highly recommended, and I know I'll eat here again.
Brandon Brantner
Fantastic food!! Great staff! I will be back. But the environment is very loud. I couldn't handle any conversations beyond the person next to me.
Tautalamaiaso Pippitt
Love their Sunday brunch. The selection is amazing, ranging from seafood to your normal pancakes and eggs. I love the atmosphere and the friendly service.
Hypersonic Aurora
Had an amazing dinner this evening during happy hour, and even though they weren't busy, the servers were amazing and the food was good, seating us next to the kitchen while they were cooking is a plus, and despite being a vegetarian, I have to admit that their margherita flatbread and arugula salad was good.
Lowell Litzau
I don't remember being here. I must have been wasted.
Abby Fleck
An incredible brunch buffet on Sundays! The space is beautiful as well. It's connected to the hotel, but it is well worth a visit even if you aren't a guest.
Ben Pick
A nice restaurant for those travelling for business. The food and atmosphere were enjoyable. My party was served quickly and after a day of travel the meal hit the spot.
Michele Myran
The food was amazing! Service was good. We will definitely go back. Try the lamb spaghetti. This not your average or regular spaghetti. It's a fusion dish. It will blow your mind.
Julie Greene
Excellent service and wonderful chef crafted meals. The environment is quiet enough to be able to have a nice conversation and the interior design is classy and quietly elegant.
Reverend Dan
Very good prix fixe lunch and good price. They keep this restaurant VERY heated, so dress lightly. But good service and good food every time so far!
Robert D
Wow. Very very good w a nice atmosphere. Staying in hotel so I had lunch and dinner there. Tuna terrific at lunch and beet salad equally so at dinner. What a nice surprise
Scott Richardson
Very high quality for a hotel restaurant.

Love bartender Chris, very attentive!
Aaron Forsman
Absolutely delicious breakfast spot for a quick morning meeting! The wait staff was wonderful, immediate table and great food and service to boot. Thanks and see you soon Lela!!!
Ryan Stanley
A little on the spendy side but otherwise very good. Everything I have tried from the menu is excellent. This is a place I would take my spouse as part of a special night out.
George Kingman

This is my my little family's fave! Do the lamb chops! Do the bone in! Do the crab cakes! Have breakfast there! Holiday buffets are amazing! (We love it!)
Nash Gammill
I generally avoid hotel restaurants like the plague, but I'd return to Lela if I were to stay at a different hotel. Gnocchi was delicious, and their steaks are phenomenal.
David T Anderson
Great buffet to celebrate. Plentiful variety. Attentive service
Michael Bryant
Great, friendly service. The food is first rate and save room got dessert
Natasha Young
I really wanted to give this restaurant 4 stars, but the food was extremely salty. I had the tuna tacos and the lobster gnocchi. It definitely spiked my blood pressure.
Terry Low
Food is excellent as is the decor. Only knock is the service. I've been here three times and all times the waiters barely care, are disinterested, and frankly unfriendly.
Brad Johnson
Fantastic, everything from the appetizers and drinks to the entrees and dessert where wonderful!
Bobby Bowen
We didn't eat here but the service was good.it was basically an after work drink spot while in Minneapolis. The Sheraton was nice and we enjoyed all that was provided.
Jacey Lloyd
Great little lunch menu. Just a bit slow getting the food. The food was delicious! Looking forward to trying the dinner menu
N H
Great food! Portions are a little small for the price and I was still hungry, though.
Tony Vu
Lela is definitely a hidden gem. Cocktails were great, pasta was delicious, and service was awesome.

Madelyn Shafer
3.5 Great restaurant for consultants and business professionals. A little bit over priced for the food offered. Tons of selections of wine.
Emily Kuplic
Amazing restaurant, excellent food, and service. Loved the prix fixe menu for Valentine's day!
Anthony Proulx (Ase Anthony)
Excellent food. They have one of my favorite brunches in the twin cities. Unlimited mimosas for a small fee.
Richard Hagen
Price fixed lunch ($15) and a la cart selections. Very good food & service. Open, modern decor, lots of windows.
Ryan Larson
Only stopped in for happy hour. The service is impeccable but the pricing is incredibly high, even for a hotel happy hour. No wonder the place was empty.
MotogardenUSA
this modern hotel is 9 minutes' drive from the Mall of America and 12 minutes' drive from Minneapolis-St Paul Airport.
keith epperson
Food was great, tried several apps and a pasta dish. Service was also outstanding.
