Reviews of Korea Restaurant
Nick Preuss
Been coming here for years and it is always consistently good. Great family owned authentic Korean restaurant.
Food here is as authentic as it gets and the prices are very fair, even with inflation. Post COVID they changed it from a more cafeteria style restaurant into more of a true sit-down place. Owners are very nice and there is a wide selection of food available.
I would highly recommend you check it out. It is also highly approved and loved my my 17 month old!
James Keller
Korea Restaurant is a great hidden gem right in the middle of the U of MN campus. The food is very authentic and delicious. The service is very fast and the staff are extremely welcoming and courteous!
I had the Bibimbap and Mandu (fried dumplings) and it was perfect. Came out quickly so I was able to make it to puck drop at Mariucci with plenty of time.
My mother is Korean so I have have a lifetime's worth of experience with traditional Korean meals. Having visited many of the Korean restaurants in the Twin Cites area, Korea Restaurant ranks up there at the top of the list. Looking forward to my next visit!

Giving 3 stars
First, food was good but after take the next
3-4 bites it started to taste super salty.
Secondly, it was 100 degrees today.. where is the AC?
Thirdly, Parking is very small!! Like very small.
Recommend the bibimpap. and vegetarian dumplings. Customer service was also great. also love the little buzzer on the tables for a smoother customer service experience but Because of the first 3 bullets, I probably won’t be returning.
Thanks.

This was my go to place at the U of M, TC but after the change in owner, I must admit that I'm not too big of a fan anymore. Before we parked, we were yelled at and even instructed on where to park. When we ordered our food, everything came out quickly and smoothly but personally I was a bit shocked by the portion of sides especially since both my sister and I ordered dishes that comes with sides and from the picture, it is definitely not portioned for 2. Everything we ordered did taste good though. The only dish that could be better is the kimbop. Overall, food is good but service was just super particular in how they run things that it was uncomfortable here and there.
Food we ordered:
Pork bulgogi, beef bulgogi, kimbop, and kimchi stew
Total is $61.94

Don't let this place fool you. It's small but big on flavor. Great service, and the food came out very quickly. Generous portions. I had the spicy pork bulgogi, and it was great!
Sebastian Kevin
The spices were very authentic!! Really delicious and tasted like back in Korea.
Try the soups. They were very rich and hearthy
Lana Belle
Hands down the BEST Korean spot in the Twin Cities. Service is amazing, fast, and the food is even better. Entrees come with refillable side dishes, my favorite are the rice, kimchi and bean sprouts.
Steve Dickes
Wow, we loved our lunch at this wonderful place. Three of us arrived, parked, ordered (with some server advice), and had our food served to us in 15 minutes.
It was hot, fresh, plentiful and very tasty. We had a Korean roll (kim bap), spicy rice cakes, beef bulgogi, seafood bibmbap. Included were a collection of sides.
This place is my new favorite Korean restaurant in the Twin Cities and we will be back!
Ollie Zoop
Very good food, excellent bibimbap, but most of all, extraordinarily great service. We were greeted by an employee holding the door open for us, and they also very kindly helped my mom properly prep her food when it came out.
Highly recommended! Will definitely be returning!
Eli Rayas
This was an amazing restaurant, easily one of the best Korean places I've ever been. The service is super responsive and quick, and the food is neat, clean, and delicious. I really recommend everyone get the seafood pancake as it's soft in the middle and crispy on the outside.
Lily Kuria
My husband and I came here on impulse and were so so happy with everything! We both had the beef bulgogi and loved the portion size and the flavor! The side plates of kimchi, potato, and sprouts were all delicious; but especially the kimchi! I loved that you can always ask for more of the little side dishes as no extra cost. The service was efficient and friendly. It was a nice quiet stop for lunch that left me feeling refreshed. Definitely plan to return soon
Emily Chun
This is our favorite place to get Korean food in Minneapolis! The staff is kind and the food is excellent. We have only gotten take out, but the food is always delicious. Our favorite dish to get here is the jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles)! The food always reminds me of home :)

Delicious, authentic Korean food for a great price. Don't over order like we did. Portions are larger than the pictures...rice and side are included with most dishes..didn't realize until it was too late.
jen jankowski
My sister and I got the jabchae and pork bibimbab (both were $7.49 lunch specials) and they were amazing! They give generous portions for the cost. For poor college students, you can afford the price and feel stuffed when you leave. I included pictures of the menu with prices. The overall temperature of the restaurant is a little warmer than I would prefer, but I think it adds to the hole-in-the-wall ambiance.
You do have to get your own water and the orders come out by a number system.
Fast service by native South Koreans. Really authentic and delicious food!
Divah Yap
Order the Bi-Bim-Bap stone pot. It’s delicious and affordable!
Jennifer Flynn
My favorite Korean restaurant in the twin cities! I always get the seafood pancake and spicy pork stir fry. You don't come here for ambiance and cloth napkins... It's no frills delicious Korean soul food.
November Eclipse
The food here was really amazing and so was the costumer service. Really recommend if you want to start getting into Korean food.
Woodbury0074
Without a doubt this is the best Korean food I’ve had at a restaurant! The people who work there were super nice. I plan to go back soon!
Tamella H
Food is very delicious and they prep it extremely fast. Prices are reasonable considering size and taste of it. The only problem is the smell you carry for the rest of the day! :D also because it is a tiny place expect to wait because it is packed during a lunch time. We ordered number 11 and 51
Megan Korea
I love this place. This is my favorite Korean food place in Minnesota. It is the most authentic place. The food is on-par with the food that you would eat at a restaurant in South Korea. The self-service water and trays are exactly what you would expect from a mom-and-pop owned place in Korea.
Jennifer Flynn
This place is doooooope. The environment isn't great but the food makes up for it. Best Korean joint in the Twin Cities, in my opinion. I always get the spicy pork and seafood pancake! 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 …
Sopiko Pasoevi
Tasty food, reasonable prices and very nice staff. Because I couldn't handle spicy dish so well, they even offered a bowl of rice.
Cheng Lee
Friend & family recommended and brought us there, group of about just under 10 of us. We ordered good amount of food. According to the friend we can order ANYTHING and it would turn out amazing. She was not wrong. I won't list the foods we ate but I live in Apple Valley and I would drive out here just to eat here again.
Isaac (Deliverance)
Stopped in for dolsot bibimbap and was not impressed. It was all right but only had about six little pieces of meat, I expected more. I've stopped in here before so I know the other food is really good but this is one of my favorites and I wouldn't order it from here again. I'll be back to try more dishes with the family and update my review because they probably deserve at least four stars.
Insu Park
Very 👍 Korean restaurant near U of Minnesota 😉
Nick Senn
I know the name sounds generic, but the food and service are fantastic. I would HIGHLY recommend ordering the kimchi pancakes and the stone bowl. The kimchi pancakes were tender and flakey, the stonebowl was cooked to perfection. I loved the Korea roll as well. Definitely will be back.
Jonah Edelman
For the prices they charged, the food was not that good. Even the vegetable fried rice was $12. I had #21 (some sort of kimchi soup with scallops and I think also pork), it was too hot and too spicy.
Sage Tones Family Photography
My first time ever trying Korean food and it was a feast! I was amazed by the vegetarian options they had and the number of side dishes! IMO You have to like kimchi to enjoy the food but everything was delicious. Although the tofu kimchi soup was a little too spicy for me but that’s on me for testing my limits hehe. The owner was friendly and he helped us park in the tight space, and the service was smooth and fast as well.
David HUDGENS
Awesome little restaurant. Parking is limited so be warned. You might have to walk, but that's fine. Lunch was huge. So good! I had the spicy seafood noodle soup.
Kevin V
Great Korean food - one of the best in the cities. Lovely little hole in the wall. Self-service.
Alexis Cooke
REALLY AMAZING FOOD! I’d say this is definitely a sharing plates type of place.
There seafood pancake is one of the best I’ve ever eaten! Not overly greasy and really good texture ~!
Max Tran
Sizeable parking lot, cozy setup, nice staff, pricy menu compared to peers.
We were served about 3 side dishes; which was a letdown based on our experience with other Korean restaurant.
We had tendon beef soup and fried mackerel. The broth was ok. It tasted very much like a congee; which is not a good combination with beef. Generous amount of tendon. If you love tendon, this could be it!
Fried fish definitely saved the day in term of saltines and crunchiness. Compared with fried fish from other Asian countries, that was a bit under seasoned but I think it went well with the rice
Tanushree Roy
They substituted rice for low-carb option egg. So don't hesitate to ask them for it. Food was superb, had number 11 -- spicy squid stir fry! Also had pork bulgogi the other day, which was phenomenal too!
Uyen Nguyen
After look up several reviews from different restaurants, I decided to try this place. It is a self serve place. Food is wonderful and cashier is friendly. If I come back to town, this restaurant is a place to go.
Thuy K.
Heard great reviews about this restaurant but was disappointed. Called in a take out order and thought I could just park in the lot to pick it up. However, the lot was barricaded even though there were spaces available and it was around 6pm on a Saturday (during business hours). There must be a better way to keep trespassers out while not creating a burden for actual customers. Parking inconvenience aside, the soondubu jjigae had a nice variety of seafood like mussels, octopus, squid, clams, and baby shrimp. It also had what I think was bits of zucchini. Unfortunately, the kimchi was bland and the bean sprouts were very salty. I wasn't asked about my desired spice level but the default was what I'd call mild. There were a few clumps of rice that had a slightly hard gummy texture, which was disappointing. Takeout was packaged well- no spills. Overall, it wasn't to my taste but it wasn't awful.
Alex Pagels
So many changes, this place used to have an order counter and they would call out your number when your food was ready. Now they seat you and hand you a menu. They even have the call buttons on the table I haven't seen since I was in Korea! It has a nice atmosphere and the service is great. The food was served still weakly boiling, so you can't beat the freshness!
Anna Stepanova
Crowded around lunchtime, but there is usually parking. Food is delicious, and service is pretty quick!
Pavel Tokarev
The service was prompt and great. Food tasted amazing, a little bit on the pricey side.
Carlos Figari
Big menu. Great winter menu. Lots of soups and stews. Prices are above average for metro area but average for the area. They also went from cafeteria style to casual dining about two years ago but the kitchen is still fast. They have limited parking.
K
SO GOOD. 10 stars out of 5. Totally awesome prices for what you get. Huge portions. Excellent flavors and seasoning. Just so good
Dean Jane
Friends and I went here for a girls night out. As women of color, we are particular with how we are being treated compared to others. I must say, it was wonderful.
Shea Husband
Really good, reasonably-priced Korean food. Some of the best I've had outside of Korea!!
Hadi
Slightly on the pricier, but portion is huge. I find the food to be okay, not bad, but not amazing either
Albert Wang
Very tasty spicy Korean dishes. The space is small.
D H
I have eaten here a number of times. I have some very good friends that took me to this place the first time. They are Korean and they say this is the best tasting food around. Suwan is my Korean friend and obviously there were no communication problems and the for was out if this world great. I have had Kimbap, Beef Bulgogi, Beef bone Soup, and more. All great and very nice people working there. Can't wait to get back there.
Ian Allen
Total hole in the wall but the food is excellent. Can get busy around lunchtime and the place is quite small, so gets a little claustrophobic.
Avelona Lark
DELICIOUS FOOD!!! You always get big portions, and it's SO GOOD!! My favorite dishes are the stone bowls, and the spicy fried squid. The glass noodles are also pretty delicious.
I prefer to get takeout and eat in my apartment, but when I dine in, I've started bringing my own Tupperware because I can never finish the food, and unfortunately they very rarely have takeout containers available. This food reheats pretty well, too! Apart from how some dishes have fresh vegetables on top (which wouldn't last through a night in the fridge, and then being re-heated the next day). I usually eat all the lettuce/cucumbers when I first get it anyway, and then I slice up some fresh ones when I eat the leftovers later.
D K
Good rice-cake soup!
Ben “Hakuna” Takata
The food is great! The rather limited selection covers most Korean staples. The newly updated interior is more modern, but a bit more cramped, especially during rush hours. Pricing is reasonable at ~10-15$ per dish, but the removal of lunch specials is disappointing.
Patrick Horvath (akrspicy)
If I could give 10 stars I would. The food is out if this world with affordable prices and the service is even better. My car broke down and I was stranded there for a few hours and the staff literally charged my phone, brought me water, held the flashlight when I fixed my car, and washed my car for me when I was done. Not even joking. I bought so much food from them and tipped 80% on top because the service was so nice. I will frequent this restaurant from now on. Go there and bring everyone you know.
Peter Neururer
After the upgrades, it’s a very nice sit down restaurant. The soups are the shiny glory, military stew, rice cake dumpling stew, kimchi jjigae all hit home here. Watch out during school time at lunch or dinner time this place can get packed, a testament to their food
Ben Ernst
Solid small hole in the wall Korean Restaurant that is hard to find. 100% authentic Korean cuisine.
Shakila Piatt
Great place to go and get something different! Soup I had was amazing and came freshly cooked, literally boiling hot in a neat bowl, and my husband's chicken was great too. Prices are good and we both had leftovers. Flavors are very different than other cuisines so great little place to go to. Will be returning again.
Jackie Yip
Spicy beef bulgogi was delicious and had enough garnish on top of it!
India Park
The food was amazing! It's a small quaint place with self serve water, you order at the counter and pick up your food when they call your number. I loved it! My sister and I shared the beef bulgogi and veggie dumplings, they were both fantastic.
Tim Athey
Fair price for the quality of the food. I had the #6 (beef and a friend had a #7 (spicy pork). These are the correct name but it was delicious. About 12-16 dollars per entree. They are open mostly on weekends and sometimes are closed when the U of M is not in session.
Edit:
Two years later and the food is still fire! Recently tried the Bibimbap and it was wonderful. Don't pass up a chance at some of the best, if not the best, bulgogi in MN. Maybe the midwest. Parking can be rough, but it's in dinkytown. Parking always sucks.
M
BEST KOREAN FOOD. I've been to many different Korean restaurants, and nothing tops this one. The prices are fair and the food is the bomb! I love the kimbap here and the pork bulgogi. I come here a lot because it's right on campus and I've never been let down by the quality of the meal. Everything is self-served, so you can't really judge the customer service. Yet, the staff are really nice in getting your order. The only thing I don't like is the small parking lot and lack of tables. So, we never come during busy hours and would recommend you to do the same. I would love to see this restaurant expand someday, because the price is great and the food is even better!!!!!!!
Ben “Yung Hinoki” Wu
Pretty good food, you can get a stone bowl option for a bibimbap. Not a whole lot of options for white friends trying to dip their toes in Korean food, but no big deal. All the food taste very very fresh and delicious.
Trevor Williams
This is the best Korean food I've found in the cities. Granted, I only know of five Korean places, but this one is hands-down tops. If you're not familiar with Korean food, there is a wall of numbered photos with brief descriptions serving as the menu. You should be able to find something that looks and sounds tasty to you.
There is also limited off-street parking.
Jonathan S
Closest authentic Korean food you can get (unless your Mom's Korean). Sadly, they sold the business to a new owner recently (2019). Which means new cooks = different quality of food. Hoping this change of ownership does not destroy their excellent reputation.
Avis Thomas
Very authentic and tasty, at student prices. The extensive menu covers a large wall and has pictures; you can order by number if you don't speak Korean. Crowded st lunch time when school is in session.
Andrew Mosenden
They have renovated the inside, which did a great effect. The food is very good. Closest to off the beaten path style Korean food you will find in the cities. I had spicy pork stir fry.
Jessica Lee
This is a great place to eat! They by far have the best bulgolgi in the twin cities. Plus the restaurant is very clean and the staff is very nice and welcoming.
Haley De
Great soondubu jjigae and ox tail soup!
christina conroy
So delicious that I'm still giving 5 stars even though there was a hair in my kimchee
Anna Sing
One of my favorite authentic Korean restaurants in the twin cities! I have been going here for a few years now, and I recommend it to anyone the chance I get! My favorite dishes are the spicy pork bulgogi, black bean noodles, and spicy rice cakes (Tteokbokki).
Cindy Moua
Omg! Loved korean food never really had authentic korean food ever. Gave this place a try and loved it. I was a noob to this place so amazing thing was you get your own water at the water dispenser. Oh and what I also liked was you bring everything back to a return window. That makes everything so much more convenient for the workers and us customers. Lol. Anywho the food was ammmmazzzing. Service was nice.
Ryan Hanson
My food was delicious!
I have not had real Korean food ever, so I don't have a good reference, but I have been to BeiJing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. I tried my share of authentic foods on this trip. Even though I am from the U.S., I really enjoy authentic cuisine. This place did not disappoint. The kimchi was not as spicy as I usually like, but my spicy pork bulgogi was out of this world. The lunch price was very reasonable ($8) and the most expensive meal, which is very big, was about $14. Hard to find that price in Minneapolis area.
Def recommend and will most certainly be back.
Firdaush Yasmin
The place is very cramped. It was quite uncomfortable sitting right next to a complete stranger with our arms touching the whole time, when it got busy. But food wise, their tofu soup is the best I've had in any korean restaurant in Mpls!
Alex P
Go during lunch time, 11-3 and get a lunch special for $7.
Korean food is plain in my opinion, and I cannot think this is far from authentic. Everything tastes fresh, and the meat comes sizzling when its served to you. Its all self-serve, and family owned. Very great place.
Nathaniel Ly
Always a good spot to eat. Parking is tight and it's often crowded. But the food is good and very cheap compared to other similar restaurants. I like the spicy pork bulgogi and galbi the most here.
Koselig
Went to u of m and graduated in 2010.. this was my go to place. The food is great, large portions as well. The old man at the register everytime was extremely polite and cute. Would recommend it to anyone who enjoys asian food. Chicken bokum is amazing!
Kristy Tran
I absolutely love their food!! it tastes authentic and I’ve never had a bad experience here!! It’s all self service and their portions are huge and you get a lot of food, so fair warning! But you won’t regret it because the food is just so good! I love their spicy Korean rice cake, Bibimbap Dolsot (in the cast iron bowl) and their kimchi stew!
Emily Lu
I had some really good dishes at this place couple years ago but the recent visit was a big disappointment.... aside from very tiny portion of the side dishes, the korean sushi roll with lot more rice and very little "stuffing" in the middle. Both stir fried dishes (spicy rice cake and spicy seafood) the sauces are too watery and bland taste, lack of flavor. Sorry to say I much rather go a little far north to either Dong Yang or King's restaurant to get a lot more variety of traditional korean dishes.
Rp
Bulgogi and rice cakes are amazing, and good banchan!
Absolutely a must revisit.
Banle Gaar
When I went out to eat with a friend down the road (at Kimchi Tofu House), we past this spot and she said she'd never been in there yet. So I was sent off to judge it for her.
Slightly bigger than your average hole in the wall with an attached Karaoke spot of course. A tip I would say is that if you have a car they do have a small parking lot exclusively for themselves, would say these can easily be grabbed since most people come from the campus region and probably just walk. No need to pay for side street parking.
Almost went with my staple bibimbap or some spicy pork stir fry, but then I saw something odd, knuckle bone soup. Alright you got me, getting that. Though I wasn't feeling it exactly right when I ordered, because the worker said, "It is quite bland so I'd add some salt."
You specifically make something bland? I could careless if that's the authentic way of doing it, give it some flavor.
So I waited for my food to be made and looked at the menu some more and then my heart sank, because another item up there I recently made and loved. Military stew. Sigh... another time.
Food was announced and I grabbed it and sat back down watching the cauldron bubble with its milk thin liquid. Smelled appetizing so far. While I waited for it to cool down a bit I tried all the dishes set out before me. Only the basic kimchi I thought tasted good, the others were bland. Now that the soup wouldn't burn my tongue I tried a spoonful. Yup, that's bland. Adding two tsp of salt did it finally come up to something decent. I shouldn't have to make that large of a correction. It was interesting to try but I wouldn't order it again. Rather just make it better myself at home.
Genevieve Courteau
Delicious. Cannot wait to visit again!
Lisa Oldakowski
I had my first experience here today, and was very impressed with the side dishes, tofu soup, and beef bulgogi for sure! The $7 lunch special is a great deal. I also sampled the dol sot bi bim bop, and while the meat and veggies were definitely fresh, the sauce wasn't quite as good as I've had at other restaurants. I'd definitely go back when I get a craving for authentic Korean!
Gerard Carton
Having been married to a Korean wife, I am qualified to say that this is authentic Korean cuisine. Excellent food at good prices. The pictures on the menu help quite a lot. Enjoy.
CheShin Chew
The food is still pretty decent after they updated their restaurant with a new store sign and new interior setting. But the young lady working there is the reason why I gave 3 stars only. She rejected our request to refill the side dishes saying that it's past their working hours, but it was only 8:40pm when their working hours is until 9pm. Another elder lady refilled it for us in the end.
Jonathan Mathes
I was looking forward to good Korean food. The restaurant is a little hole in the wall without much seating. It is generally "seat yourself."
We went in to seat ourself and were directed to another table because the table we wanted needed to be wiped down. We said we were willing to wait and they then said no they didn't want to clean it again and they were closing in 30 min so why don't we go over there in the crowded corner and sit there where multiple people would need to get up at multiple tables for someone to leave their seat.
There food is pretty basic and tasty but the staff is rude and the atmosphere is crowded. Next time I will pick an alternative.
Dezi Johnson
The soup was served in a vessel that kept it so hot It takes awhile to eat. If that is common I was not aware but it was nice portions and it did cool off eventually so that I could consume it. I like the little side dishes that come with the meal.
Jesus Balderrama
This is such a cool and awesome place. I will for sure come back. Maybe a date night with the wife. I had the spicy Seafood noodles, it was pretty spicy. But they have all sorts of different dishes.
Vaughn and Amycar
Eversince we found this place, we have not gone back to any other Korean restaurant around town. My husband who hates traffic & parking issues around the U would rather drive there (20-30 minutes) & get to-go/pick-up order than go somewhere close to us!
Why? If you’ve ever visited Seoul, South Korea & tried their food, THIS place is as authentic as it can get + the price is cheaper than most frou-frou korean resto in town! We can easily order 2 entree, 2-3 apps + side dishes for less than $30! Sometimes less than $25 (depending on the entree you choose).
Downside:
1) parking is limited & parking space is tight. Sometimes you’ll get stuck waiting for another car to get out of their parking space because, honestly, they don’t know how to maneuver their car
2) inside space could use some updating, tables are limited, space is tight (sometimes you’ll bump elbows with someone), can get loud with the students that eat - but who cares?!?! THIS is how it is in Korea! It’s the taste & price of the food that matters!
WE LOVE 💕 Korea Restaurant!
Jaehoon Kim
This is the food and atmosphere you will get when you walk into a common restaurant in Seoul. There are several slight odd twists to the food like adding slices of bell peppers to the Kimchi stew but they are negligible. Don't expect to be served as a dear customer like your typical restaurant as 1. it's pick up 2. there will be lots of people the during lunch.
Mubassher Kamal
Delicious food. CONSISTENTLY. Honestly, I've never had a less-than amazing experience at this restaurant. The kind ajjushi there makes sure that your beef bulgogi is prepared in the tastiest way possible.
Kory Iverson
Soon tofu soup and either the beef or pork bulgogi will feed two people and leave you feeling full and satisfied. Their lunch special is good for the price and portion size. Small place, but do not feel overwhelmed, you can sit with strangers if you need a spot. We take our kids there during the lunch rush and we always find a spot to sit.
Jay Meraki
For Minnesota, they do a FANTASTIC job. The bulgogi was darn tasty and authentic. Bibimbap was alright, but I've had better in the state. Japchae was a bit over-peppered, but bold with great flavors and veggies. Sides were WONDERFUL, though limited. Very fair prices. I've been back here half a dozen times so far and have never been disappointed. I'd give it 5 stars, but I've had my dad's Korean home cooking and have been to other restaurants in the country that would blow your mind. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO.
E V
This is the best Korean restaurant in the twin cities. Don't wonder it's The Best. Get some bulgogi and you won't be disappointed.
Judy
Small hole in the wall but probably the best Korean food I've had since I've moved to MN. Their portions are appropriate for the prices. Self service for water and cleaning but overall, I would definitely come back.
Yeuly Chin
We ordered takeout for lunch. The food was good, BUT they forgot the most expensive item! The Kalbi was $14.99 +tax. We were on our lunch break from work, mind you it took us about 12 mins to get there & then waited in line to order & waited for our food to come out. We left without checking the bags. By the time we got back to work, it had already been 1 full hour.
I’m trying to find a phone number to call them. NO number on the receipt!! I tried the number on google. No body picked up! & when they did, it was silent!
Again, the food was good. Just check your bags if your doing take out.
**UPDATE**
They picked up their phone after a few hours of calling & I got my refund. I’m happy, so they get the total 5 stars. 🙂

This is my second visit after more than 2 years and I love this place. Its like a hole in the wall but the food over here is like a dynamite. The place doesn't look pleasing but do not get fooled by that because food is delicious. If you are looking for authentic Korean food, then this is the place to go if you are in Minneapolis.
Ka Tichi
My favorite Korean restauarant. The food so is delicious and flavorful! It’s always a full house here but worth the wait!! You can always take the food to go too.
Warren Volden
Great food and very affordable prices! A no frills restaurant, but if you are in the area, it is definitely worth visiting! Service was good and our order was prepared very quickly.
Sid Moorhead
Great Korean food at student-friendly prices. There is a lot of variety on the menu and their prices are great. Try to miss their busy hours, there isn't much for seating inside.
Angie Hansen
good food; never had a bad meal and pretty authentic Korean food; wait time can be a bit long so not optimal for quick lunches; language barrier can make ordering food a little tough at times so be patient;
Peter DeMaio
Solid Korean food. My only gripe is they skimp on the banchan (just because I'm a white dude doesn't mean I don't want a ton of kimchi!) and don't tell you about the lunch specials when you order it. Unless you specifically say it, they'll charge you for the full amount, which is a bit dishonest.
Navid Mohammad Imran
Nice, cozy little restaurant. One if the best place in Minneapolis for getting authentic Korean food. Food are also reasonablly priced and they offer free parking. Only issue is to get table during busy hours.
Lunay LeZarde
Took my wife here for her birthday and sat down to mandu and dwaeji bulgogi. Great flavor, generous servings, and while the kimchi tastes like it's missing something, the rest of the sides are well-made and would fit any of the menu choices. We especially liked how the bulgogi is served on the same cast iron griddle it was cooked on. This is one place where we will definitely be repeat customers. I highly recommend it.
Grace
My friends we were just there and the food was awesome! Love the price! Totally worth to check it out! Gotta say this is the best Korean restaurant I ever been to!

Amazing food. The spicy rice cakes were delicious. We'll come back whenever we're in town again 100%.
Mindy C.
Kimbap & Galbi are my must-have items here! Great tasting food for a reasonable price. The restaurant is truly a rough diamond that you do not want to overlook!
For individuals who want to try Korean BBQ, I highly recommend the Galbi (korean short-ribs) with some steamed rice. You're welcome.
Sonia
Delicious authentic Korean food!! I love their pork bulgogi 😋. Fast service and great price! We will definitely eat here again😁! …
S Y
My favorite Korean place to eat at when I'm in town. Everything here is delicious :) my favorite dish would be the seafood bimbibop. It's small but it's amazing.
Yangmee Vang
Authentic Korean food. Delicious. Great service too. I really like the side dishes you get with your food. My favorite is the Ja Jang Meon (Black bean noodles).
Luis Beltran
Tiny, hole in the wall place that has some of the best Korean food I've ever had. Went here on a whim and was very pleased. Will definitely go back!
Mic Thomas
Delicious. Love it. Traditional food
Blaine Mitchell
Very good food! I have eaten here a few times and the food is always good and the sides are fantastic.
Side note: The place can be cold during the winter so get something hot or dress for the weather.
Jonathan O'Hare
Small, spartan, with quick no-nonsense service of delicious Korean food. The pork bulgogi was delicious, but I should have anticipated the white guy spiciness level assumption and asked for much more heat.
Miao Beck
Authentic tasty Korean food at reasonable price. The food is also served very fast. It’s my go to place if I need some comfort food!
Dale Nugent
Always delicious lunch, nicely sized and priced. Simply good Korean food. I like their bulgogies and the Kimchee soup...a nice winter warm up.
Khadro Jama
I've always wanted to eat authentic Korean food and I had my first date there. I felt like I was in South Korea ( never been , I will visit in the future!)
David Truong
I love Korean food and this place was a little crowded, but the food was delicious. The prices aren't too bad at all. I enjoyed my time there.
Karen Wang
Ordered the galbi (#5) and liked the marinade, but the meat was a bit tough. Still good though. Comes with a bowl of rice and five sides (bean sprouts, tofu strips, marinated potato, pickled seaweed, kimchee), all of which I enjoyed, except the kimchee which I didn't try because I can't handle spice. XD
When you walk in, you have to go to the back of the store to order (the menu is on the wall behind you when you face the cash register). Then you snag a table while you wait for them to make your food. When your food is ready you hear a chime, and your number is displayed on the wall.
When you're finished, you bring your tray back to the front and put it on a shelf.
Sam M
This place is awesome. It seems very authentic and the food is so awesome and delicious. I recommend this to anyone looking for great authentic korean food.
Matthew Coleman
I have never been to such a delicious restaurant! Service was so polite and fast. This is definitely a restaurant you have to stop by at.
Nichole McIntosh
This tiny hole in the wall serves amazing dishes from about $10-$15 a person. Order something that someone else is eating because it's probably delicious!
Nym M
A great place for Korean food but if you're looking for a roomy place to sit that's hard to find at this redteraunt. It's a small establishment but the food and the friendly service almost make up for that.
Mark Spitzmueller
Outstanding!! Family owned, fantastic food. If you have never tried Korean come here to learn why it's the best Asian food.
Creeper LordGamer
Their food is quite good but the service is so bad. They don't even have a cashier who can't speak and understand English. I have a hard time try to explain that they gave me the wrong dish. My order list is 23 but they keep calling no 33. It make me really annoyed.
Bahja Abdishakoor
i haven’t ate here or anything i just have a question for the restaurant owner/cooks do you guys serve halal food ? i’m muslim and i always wanted to go eat somewhere new but bc i i’m muslim theirs not much places that serve halal foods that are from a different culture so i was just wondering what are your halal items on your menu?
Paxia Her
Could be a long wait at times due to the limited seating and peak hours. Great authentic Korean food. Bibimbap and pork bulgogi are a must here!
Cari Rivan
Good Soondubu (Korean Soup) for decent price ($10). Classic little Korean place - small, warm, no frills, but really tasty!
Alejandro Caudillo

Food is not as good as the other two Korean restaurants around. One of the server is kind of rude. Very crowded during lunch time.
Saidkamol Javadov
Nice place and all but, for the price you pay , kind of wish to have nice environment. And space , like I keep hitting person next to me if I just movie little bit. For date wrong place to come.Just to eat good idea.

Excellent food, fast and friendly service, good portions, unpretentious and cool family vibe.
okjacky okjacky
Kimchi-soup is too sugaric. Sidedishes are too small. Be generous on side dishes. Should be more hygenic in general.
mira Jang
If I had to rate on food alone, it's 5⭐ but hard to find seats. It's a little hole in the wall restaurant but food sure is good.
Hana
Food was okay, a bit pricey than i expect for some other dishes. Building was hotter inside than outside. Menu was on the back wall and cashier hardly speak any english.
sparty snoopy
It was OK - i've had better (and worse). I am from the Chicago-land area and grew up eating Korean food at home. This place is.
Man Pietrs
VERY GREAT food. Price are reasonable, their bibibomp is really good. I love it.
Chuiyee Thao
Good food and good variety but would reccomend dong yang instead as it's as good/better for taste, bigger portions and better pricing.

Food is very good, and quantity is plentiful. My only negative is size, it's a small restaurant so space is limited and its tight.
