Very nice atmosphere and fairly quick service. Had the melon cocktail with some calamari and a BBQ burger with salt and vinegar fries. finished with a wonderful berry cobbler. I could not be happier with the quality of food they serve. Only negative is the price, but you get pretty close to what you pay for. For me and my wife we split an appetizer, had two main meals, one cocktail, one mocktail, 2 waters, a cobbler desert we split and a dessert wine. All for about $88. if it was about 10 cheaper I would be totally sold on the experience. maybe next time skip the wine? :p

There is a cozy warm feel to the place. It was hard to pick from the happy hour menu with all the great choices. The waitress was amazing and attentive. I definitely will return. If you are in the area stop in!!

For a Tuesday night...this place was crazy busy. Really good food-a bit more spendy than average. I ate light-french onion soup and a side of buttered asparagus. Fresh bread/butter delivered to table too. Service was super efficient!

Great spot, in an area with not a lot of choices. Comfy dining room, good food at reasonable prices. The non alcoholic cocktails are a great touch. If you like your desert to be the size of your head, order the chocolate cake!

We came here on a Sunday night for dinner. They are offering different lower cost dinner combos between 4:00-8:00 pm, so we tried that. The food was okay. (Crab BLT sandwich and beef tenderloin fettuccine) They have a good selection of drinks and desserts too. Our server was fast and attentive.

We went for Father's Day brunch and the experience was fantastic. There were lots of options to choose from for entres and the table shared five side items. All food was put together in the kitchen and delivered, due to Covid restrictions. The service was great and very accommodating. I highly recommend. The waiter told us their regular menu is even better than the Brunch.

We are semi-regulars @ Jimmys. Never had anything but a positive experience. Servers are always very attentive & pleasant. Our last visit we were waited on by Jenny. She was exceptional and very engaging. We really enjoyed her and her wonderful service. As always food was top notch. Jenny was outstanding!

Our first time and we took a chance on the Thanksgiving dinner. The soup was excellent and the rest of the meal went great. Might be a little spendy for a larger group. About 36 per person + taxes. Still lower than similar quality restaurants in the area that wanted 50-60 per person. The two of us enjoyed our time and quality meal. We will return and do recommend this to our friends and relatives. The staff really worked hard to cover all the customers, child friendly staff made it an enjoyable experience.

UPDATE: We've been back and the prime rib continues to be great, the spinach dip was fantastic, but everything else is just ok. We tried the wings and the walleye this time and everything continues to be under seasoned to the extreme. I haven't had to use a salt shaker in years at a restaurant and we were all fighting over it at the table. If you come here only get the prime rib and the spin dip and you will give it five stars. I had to average down to 3 based on everything else. ORIGINAL REVIEW: 4 Stars They have a very good prime rib here in both sandwich and steak form. Would recommend it if you are in the mood for some comfort food as the pasta and other dishes are also very good. The fries are meh, fried crispy but for something called salt & vinegar fries they usually don't have any vinegar and are highly under-seasoned.

My husband and I recently moved to the area and decided to celebrate our 37th anniversary at your restaurant. My cousin had recommended it to us. Although my husband enjoyed his pasta. I was disappointed in my meal. I have not enjoyed a filet mignon in quite some time so that is what i chose. I also ordered the augratin potatoes and the crab cake. The crab cake had very few and small pieces of crab. It was very over cooked and dry. The augratin potatoes looked like the boxed kind. There were still small globs of yellow cheese. They had no flavor and would have been better and more presentable if they had at least been lightly browned under a broiler. The steak came with a nice char but when I cut deeper into it it was almost a medium rare, not medium well as I ordered. I did send it back. When it was returned to me it was almost burnt on the outside and very well done on the inside. It was still very tender and had good flavor. Overall, a very disappointing anniversary dinner. THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE. UNFORTUNATELY, EXCUSES FOR THE POORLY COOKED MEAL ARE NOT OKAY. IF YOUR STAFF CAN NOT PROPERLY PREPARE THE FOOD YOU SHOULD NOT BE SELLING IT! WE SPENT OVER $100.00. You can't blame it on the pandemic and being short staffed.

The happy hour menu is great. I like the vibe of this place. Previously they had a wall dividing the main eating room from the bar, made it feel a little closed off. But they remodeled and took that wall out. I like it much better. Great lighting. Great service. And the happy hour menu has great pricing

Really busy place so I'd recommend making reservations. Excellent experience with outstanding food and fast and efficient service. Had the crab and shrimp stuffed walleye - amazing! Skip the French onion soup though; it's just a mess. Big glob of cheese in it and a couple things I couldn't identify.

We went for a late night happy hour. We got the chicken strips in Buffalo, cheese curds, Angus sliders, and I got a grapefruit margarita. The chicken strips could have used a bit more sauce as they were not even fully coated, but they had a good flavor. The fries were also very cold. The Angus sliders, the cheese curds, and margarita were all good. I've been here before and had better experiences in the past so I hope it was just an off night.

Went to lunch with co-workers and stumbled upon this restaurant in which i had been meaning to go to. The restaurant was clean with a busy but inviting atmosphere. The holiday decorations were cute and festive and really put a smile on your face. I got the crab cakes and Caesar salad which was filling, majority people got the prime rib sandwich which looked to be delicious also. Felt a little uncomfortable taking pictures as it was a packed house so you'll have to take my word on it. Its a popular place so call ahead.

The happy hour everyday was fun as you get to try what's on the menu for a smaller serving and reasonable price. The food was good except that the kalbi beef came short of my expectation. I'm Asian and I know how kalbi tastes. Theirs was more of a tangy bbq taste which is nothing like the real kalbi flavor. There should be some hint of sweetness to it. Otherwise, the other food items I tried were really good. The have a generous serving of the calamari which was great. The restaurant has a good vibe, too. Plus, the service was good for the two days we were there. The lady servers were warmer than the male servers which I think is kind of expected but nothing really wrong with the guy that served us the first day. He's just probably more on the shy type kind of guy and doesn't speak much. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for us. I would highly recommend it. I found another restaurant in OHio with the same name but I wasn't sure if it's a franchise or just a coincidence. I would have tried that one too if I was sure plus this one in MN was just across our hotel so it was really convenient to go daily.

Jimmy's is a great place to gather for all occasions, the food is so good and the atmosphere is fun with indoor or outdoor seating options. I take my teams there for Happy Hour, special occasion dinners with family or my favorite, their Sunday Funday Specials from 4 to 8. The specials are amazing with $21 or $31 pre-fix menu meals, selected half-price apps and sadwiches/burgers, drink specials including half-price wine on bottles from $51 to $100 in price. You can't go wrong going to Jimmy's.

Jimmy's Kitchen has ok dining option. They have lots of choices I wishbthry had more non-alcoholic options. Garlic Crushed Halibut was good but was pricy. Walleye Sandwich was ok. Liked their indoor, outdoor sitting options. The place is kids friendly. Servers were great.

Outstanding! The filet is aged and cooked to perfection, the veggies fresh and the dessert fit for royalty. I could not have chosen a better dinner for my 1st day in Minnesota. From the welcoming hostess, to my fanatic waitress who was so kind & patient, to the owner who delivered my meal.....I felt special (and I am a nobody). Had already eaten dinner so wasn't expecting to have food, only drink. The moscato was lovely but then after a bit of talking I decided to try the tortilla soup. I've had a fair share of tortilla soups, this was more of a vegetable soup. It tasted good but I personally would not have called this tortilla soup. Service was good and I enjoyed the lively atmosphere.

I've eaten at Jimmy's once about 10 years ago and remember it being delicious so when we saw that it was part of Restaurant Week for Spring 2021, we decided to go again. From the fixed menu, I ordered the Wedge Salad, Ribeye Steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus with strawberry cheesecake as dessert. The wedge salad was fresh and a hearty portion-delicious. The steak was done perfectly-medium rare, but seemed to be an especially fatty piece. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were not very flavorful but were fine. The cheesecake was good but probably a frozen boxed one vs being made in house. Overall, the food was good, but GREASY. There were pools of grease on my plate. My fiancé ordered au gratin potatoes as the side and the ramekin had about 3/4 inch of standing grease. It was worth the money on the discounted Restaurant Week menu, but I don't think I would choose Jimmy's as a steakhouse to seek out at full price.

Very delicious with terrific service! I had the walleye with brussel sprouts and shared a bottle of good wine. My friend and I hung out until close because it was so comfortable, cozy and delicious. Nice low lights. They have a proper bar with handsome woodwork that was very busy compared to the dining room on a Wednesday night.

First time dining in at Jimmy's and was a good experience. Only issue were my ribs were almost cold to the touch when I received them. Was like they were pre-prepared and someone forgot to warm them up. The manager came back out with an apology and new plate of ribs, mashed potatoes and cole slaw. Once I had a much warmer plate of food it was delicious. Great fall off the bone ribs with very good flavor. My guest also enjoyed her salmon and mashed potatoes. Service was excellent and employees very friendly. Off street parking lot with handicap accessibility. Would go back when in the area

We came to Minneapolis for a Twins game and this restaurant was recommended to me by a coworker. We had a reservation for 6 people at 7:30 on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy at the time so we had to wait a few minutes before our table was ready. The staff was very kind and apologetic. When they seated us, they brought us some free appetizers and apologized again for the wait.The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic! I would definitely go back again. This place is a rare treat.

We had a wonderful lunch here last week. Food &atmosphere was terrific. Unfortunately near the time we were getting ready to finish our meals the electricity shut down Apparently the construction work near the restaurant trips the entire businesses periodically. They were cordial apologized because of the problem & brought candles for lighting & were able to manually close out our receipts. Wonderful work in a sensitive situation!!!!

There are 2 outdoor patios here. Their food is excellent. We had a very large group and had one entire outdoor patio to ourselves. Even though the tables were all individual it was still an excellent time. They did give us dinner menus even though it was still lunch time. But other than that the food and service was great. Brought different family there a week later and had another great experience.

I am giving this review three stars based on the amount of good experiences we have had and the fact that we still will likely frequent this establishment. This is a decent, if not good, experience during happy hour. The happy hour menu is solid and the drinks are priced decently. The service has typically been quite above average. This is when we typically come here and will continue to do so during happy hours. However, I believe this place masquerades as a finer dining establishment outside of happy hour. Our latest, and definitely only, experience during non-happy hour when we brought a larger group was at best sub-par. Multiple orders wrong, long wait for overpriced drinks (they forgot one altogether) and small, expensive portions with long waits for any other requests. I'm hoping this was a rare off night, but it was very disappointing. Two month later update: The bad experience was successfully rectified and we have had additional great experiences since.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Jimmy's in June 2021. The private room was very nice and perfect for our event. The food was excellent, the portions were large, and the service was great! We received many compliments from our friends and family. The managers were great to work with when setting up our dinner.

Nice place, good staff. Happy hour chicken satay comes with an awesome saba salad, best dish I have had for $7.50 in a long time. Spinach artichoke dip actually has lots of artichokes and spinach, not just creme cheese and onions. Calamari was good texture and comes with battered fried lemons, small pieces compliment the dish very well.

Truly awesome service by staff when picking up the order and overall quality was far far far better than expected for take out. This was our first time going to Jimmy's and I can't wait to be able to come back to dine-in when able!

Went for Mother's day brunch...food was good but, even though it was all you can eat, the servers brought the food to the table and they only brought small portions at a time. Then I felt judged when I wanted multiple (very small) portions of prime rib.

Visiting from out of state this place was next to my hotel. Nice place, recorded music was random so I heard some songs from my era (1980-90), and they have a patio to enjoy the nice weather. The food was good and the staff was nice. My only comment (not complaint), was I didn't know they had a happy hour menu starting at 8:30pm. I got there around 8:10pm and was handled the regular menu. I expressed I wasn't that hungry and choose the flatbread, which was good. However, right when I ordered another customer sat down next to me and the other bartender handed her a different menu. She ordered a few minute after I did (before 8:30pm), and I told her I wasn't offered that menu and asked if I could see it. When I did I saw several items I would have rather had if I had known about the happy hour menu. Price was not an issue; it was the selection not offered on the regular menu.

I had the soup and and sandwhich combo, another item that was ordered was the baha tacos and was told they were excellent, another person had the salmon caprese, and said was to die for, as it was so good. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We eat out fairly often. How it is we've never been to Jimmy's is beyond normal for us. If you look at my reviews, you'll see I'm open about both the good and the bad, The only reason I didnt give Jimmy's a 5 star was because the food came out of the kitchen lukewarm. We ate it all anyway and then commented to the server. Normally, that would be the end of it and we wouldn't return to a restaurant. How-ever, Within minutes the owner, Mike, was at out table apoligizing profusly and took care of us best he could. Look in a day where the art of customer service seems lost, Mike Jennings, at Jimmy's gets it! We will be back because the service and everything else was outstanding! And because of the attention to customer service, Jimmy's has earned a second chance and hopefully an upgrade to a 5-star review.

I've driven by this restaurant daily on my way to work and often thought I should stop in. Today, I arrived at work (UnitedHealthcare) and was pleasantly surprised to learn I was invited to lunch by my division's top management and guess where we went. Their menu is quite ambitious for this slightly-out-of-the-way location but the service and food was quite exceptional. One of the specials was Seared Scallops on a bed of Risotto with Prosciutto. It was superb. The rest of our party was also very pleased. I'll be back.

Met some great friends at Jimmy's the 3rd day out of "Stay at home" orders and restaurants being able to open back up for patio dining. We enjoyed ourselves so much during happy hour and the steps Jimmy's had taken to keep their staff and patrons safe. First off I enjoyed the staff and actually liked the interior. The issue was the food. The scallops were undercooked and extremely salty. The risotto on the other hand was overcooked, hard, and did not have much flavor. I blame myself for trying seafood instead of something that is easier to cook.

One of the few restaurants in the SW metro that serves Blanton's bourbon. The food is always great. Many specials are offered including discounts for eating early or late. The happy hour menu is extensive and very satisfying. The bar area is large and often filled to capacity. There is a lot of outside seating in the summer. They offer a separate room for large groups or large round tables for smaller groups.

I ate here while on a business trip with a coworker. We had the crabcake appetizer which was very flavorful, but the plate only had 5-6 small crabcake balls on it. For dinner I had the ribeye and she had the fillet. Both steaks came out not cooked to our liking. The manager was at our table in no time to correct the issue. When we got our new steaks (which took no time at all) they were cooked perfectly. The steaks were quite possibly the best that I've ever had and well worth the money. The bar is well-equipped and they have several flat screens located around the bar. The ambiance is very comfortable and inviting. The service was absolutely fantastic. They deserve all 5 stars due to the quality of the food, beer/wine selection, service, and the speed with which they corrected an error. I would recommend to anybody looking a date night or business dinner.

If you're looking for a place to do happy hour, Jimmy's is a great option! They have a good sized menu, with lots of options to choose from rather than just a list of 6 or so appetizers. The waiters and waitresses have always been great to my group. I wouldn't necessarily give the food a 5-star rating, but if you go for happy hour I'd say it's definitely worth it!

A busy late afternoon happy hour with great servers and bartenders. Every time we go in, there is no hostess to seat you, yet you can't sit anywhere until a hostess seats you. This last time, we were sort of barked at when looking for a seat and told to go back to the hostess station (where there had not been anyone for a long time). Needs to improve their hostess station, for sure. Past that, we will happily return (as we do every week)!

We went here tonight for dinner. The food was good, the tuna appetizer was yummy. Our waitress never noticed or refilled our water glasses, for the entire meal. Our steaks were good (filet petite and regular sized) but the mashed potatoes were boring and tasteless. My green beans were great, but Jason only got 4 tiny, overcooked asparagus pieces. When he mentioned it to our server, she said, "Well, that's normal." ...??? Our go-to steak place in EP is Wildfire. The petite filets at both restaurants are great, but when I factor in the less impressive sides and much less attentive wait staff; then I am disappointed to spend $5 more on my petite filet. Wildfire definitely is superior.

Had the wagyu rib eye here and it was cooked perfectly. Server asked quickly if everything was ok as she walked by. Never had my drink refilled or topped off. Manager did stop to ask about the Wagyu which was amazing. Understand that I was a single at the table but you need to engage there as well not just the tables with 4 or more. Had there been a little more attention this could have been a 5 star review

The Sunday Prix Fixe menu is a good way to try Jimmy's if you have never been before. Excellent food with a flair for the modern. Service is top-notch with attention to detail. Others have mentioned it but Jimmy's is hopping during business hours but the quality of both the food and service don't slip.

Hostess was not very friendly and made us feel like we were imposing. Place is a bit eclectic in decor but to each their own. Ordered a filet medium rare but it was closer to medium well. Waitress seemed to be preoccupied because every time she did come to the table to drop something off we would try to speak to her she was already running off and apparently did not hear us. For the price, I guess we expected more in service and food than say a Chili's or Applebee's. We did like the bbq shrimp appetizer.
