Our family loves this place! The freshly baked pop overs with honey butter are mouth watering and delicious! The lobster mac n cheese was amazing. And the lobster bisque is perfect. Good service also. Does get busy during dinner hours so best to make a reservation ahead of time and please be patient with the servers, they do their best to keep up and do a good job.

Delicious food and a steak that you didn’t need a knife to cut – just a fork! It was good food and the atmosphere is fantastic. The patio was very small for the size restaurant. You’ll definitely want reservations if you are going Friday night or Saturday night because this place is very busy Dash indicative of how delicious the food was. I would recommend the swordfish, the New York steak, and definitely get the French onion soup. The desserts are large, too and very rich. You can probably get one and share it with another person. Overall a delightful evening! Five stars!

Top notch service and food. We are never disappointed here at Jensen's. I recommend making reservations, it's usually busy! The snow crab legs and lobster are always sweet and done to perfection. Our favorite is to make it a surf and turf with a sirloin. The French Onion soup is a great starter and Caesar salad comes with the meal. The other favorite thing about this restaurant is the warm popover and the amazing butter they add with it. I can guarantee it you will love this place as much as we do!

This Birthday Celebration was wonderful! Good food, great service. The food came out fast and hot. My favorite of the meals I had was this Salmon Entree with mashed potatoes. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection!

I only went here because work gave me a coupon and to be honest I’m more of a burger and fries type of girl. I mean the food here was fine. I just don’t see myself returning… if I do maybe for a special occasion.

Good place to go for a great Martini. The food is equally delicious. A cool laidback dinner club vibe. Very friendly waitstaff and bartenders. Many different Martinis to choose from as well as other good drinks. A nice place to go for drinks and dinner. Lots of tasty options on their menu.

We have reservations so we got right in. The place was packed when we got there at 6:30. Food was excellent. Our group ordered prime rib, ribeye steak and chicken Oscar. Sides are separate and we tried several different ones, all were so good. The popovers were steamy hot and the honey butter perfect. I could have made a meal of those. Prices are in the $20-50 range for the main dish and about $7-8 per side. We are looking for the next special occasion to go back.

Came here for their brunch and I was very impressed. I ordered their crab cake eggs benedict with chipotle hollandaise sauce and bottomless bloody marys. Their popovers are to die for! I will be back to try other items on the menu.

My new favorite supper club! Friendly staff, great drinks. I do adore the popovers. I enjoy their spin on the house salad. Very refreshing. I've had the prime rib, nice cut- big portion. The crab cakes were decent, but incredibly small for what I'm used to. I will be returning!

Truly one of the best dining establishments in the Twin Cities. We've been going here for years and it's still incredibly good. The food is outstanding. Every dinner comes with popovers and a salad.....I can't say how good both are. You won't be disappointed in the service or the food. Both are some of the best around.

My daughter took me here for my birthday lunch it was quaint and not that many people were in there I could see myself going back the popovers were okay and the staff was pretty polite and accommodating. I got free piece of chocolate cake for my birthday as a gift from the restaurant. I would go back and try dinner there as a matter of fact I think I will plan a small event with family because they have quaint boots and it had a nice atmosphere.

My wife and I decided to go to Jensen's for a special night out. Neither of us had been there before. She had the steak and I had crab legs. Both were delicious! The garlic bread was amazing as well. Our server, Brandell, was terrific. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful food great server but atmosphere was terrible. Placed in kidding area. Loud, kids kicking booth. Not sure what we did to deserve that seating. Could barley talk to each other. No children in our party.

Everyone seem to be having a very good time and service was friendly and prompt. I was not real impressed with my walleye, my dining partner had the panko breaded walleye, it was an inch thick and moist. Mine was sauteed without breading and it was thin and overcooked. The table next to us sent back a ribeye which was very thin and the patron said he'd been eating their 20 years and never had one like that. They did replace it quite promptly though with a very lovely looking thick one. The reviews here are generally glowing so I was disappointed that their food was not exceptional.

Stellar meal and experience as usual! Not cheap, but well worth the visit. Had a giant Manhattan to start, followed with a perfectly cooked filet, crab cake, and nice glass of wine. And a White Ukranian for dessert of course! Ate at a bar area table and had great service as always.

I ordered the Petite Filet Mignon, while it was prepared perfectly, it was definitely a small medallion. I enjoyed the taste, but not the tab. At $22 for about a small amount of beef I was disappointed. The green beans were tasty.

Wow just wow! Took my gf here here for Valentine's Day. My server Dave or David, showed us one of the best experiences I have ever had at a restaurant in years. Any question I had on the menue he was able to answer. Knew exactly how the Steak and Fish would be cooked and prepared. I had no doubt in my mind that this man knew exactly what he was doing and knew what to recommend. If you are looking for a romantic place to take the wife or the husband this is going to be your spot. The atmosphere is very friendly, professional, and hands down the food is top notch. I rarely give a place 5 stars, but this place definitely deserves it. I know that I will definitely be going back. The food is spendy, that's if your on a budget. But you get what you pay for. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted, and shown to my table. The waiter was there within minutes asking what I wanted to drink for the evening. Highly recommended.

I've passed by Jensen's countless times but never stopped in. Their menu has a lot of variety and I do miss the super club feel Jensen's offers. The waiter recommended the Walleye, which was delicious. I'm sure I'll be stopping by again in the future.

14 Oz steak ( ribeye, if I remember correctly ) was cooked PEEERFECT!! Medium - pink in the middle. As I told my waitress that they have a cook that KNOWS how to cook steak!!! And omg, those green beans were very very tasty! I was very impressed. I'm not from the area, as I'm a truck driver. On the expensive side, but I think it was worth for funds. May be a little on the high side but worth the money. I was there close to closing time, so waitress was doing here side work. I understand because I've been a server before. Other than that, no complaints AT ALL! And I'm not complaining. I will definitely be back, probably this weekend for more steak and green beans!! Very tasty!

My wife and I do a weekly visit to new restaurant a week. With our schedule and kids we don't have alot of alone time together. So we take one day a week to do appetizers and drinks just before the kids get home... we visited the Jensen restaurant. I enjoyed the host who sat us that day...our bartender was great but took him awhile to get to use. The atmosphere is quiet with older crowed. The drinks were perfect (could have been stronger)... the crab cakes are too die for!!! I would rate this restaurant with a 4.3!!!

The bread app tasted good but i feel like it should just be served with every meal. We had the steak pasta (stroganoff just call it what it is) which was good with a rich sauce. The cocktails could have been better honestly.

My wife and I love to have a date night at Jensen's. Food here is fantastic, this is one of the few places I know that serve a pop over as the bread. That is something I always look forward to. The drinks are great as well. They had a Stoli Doli setup behind the bar that my wife drank. She loved it. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food comes out at a reasonable pace for a date night. Always high on our list of places to go.

My wife and I decided to go to Jensen's Cafe and have a late Sunday morning/afternoon breakfast. They serve breakfast until 3pm on Sundays. Wow was this place a hidden gem. I had heard a few good things about this place, but I didn't expect too much. Boy was I wrong! They were packed but we didn't have to wait long, which tells you they're fast getting your food out to you. When we were sat down, right away we were greeted by the sweetest young lady named Brenda. She brought us out our coffees right away, and was immediately ready for our orders if we were. My wife ordered the Pancake Eggs Benedict which was pretty tasty to me. I ordered the Egg Steak Skillet which was amazing! Not good, amazing! Brenda made sure we always had coffee and water refills without us asking. I keep saying her name because her service was above and beyond expectations. The whole staff was amazing. Very family friendly place. I highly recommend Jensen's Cafe in Burnsville!

The cocktails (you get a generous amount), the food (very tasty, and a generous amount), and our waiter were all excellent. My daughter, who lives in the area, set up this dinner get together with my wife's family (who also live in the area), did a great job of picking this location for the event. First off! The lemon drops are friggin amazing. I got 2 and they are slightly strong. However the food was cooked perfectly 🙏😩I had the 14 once steak and my fiance had the ribs and good lord it was well worth the money. Also I had made a reservation for 7:15. Showed up 10 minutes prior to find out they didn't get my res. However the guy getting people seated had me covered by 7:15!!! They understand stuff happens and I greatly appreciated

Great place for a night out or a celebration, food was very good from the Salads and Clam Chowder to the Prime Rib and the Parmesan Crusted Walleye. Popovers are amazing, sides are well sized for multiple people to share. Service was outstanding!

Firstly, I would like to address those complaining about the cost of a meal at Jensen's Food & Cocktail. If you're here bitching about how expensive the food is to YOU? Then maybe you're out of your league and would better served at IHOP or Denny's. Take this friendly advice to the peasants complaining about cost...Jensen's knows the quality of their product and priced it accordingly. Stay within your modicum budget and you won't make a fool of yourself to the world. Now... What an unexpected surprise this place was for myself and business partner. Chris our server was very attentive and even allowed me time to figure things out. Thank you Chris.... The Lobster Bisque was very good and my compliments to the chef. I've passed this place so many times and finally gave it a shot and boy do I wish I had found this place a year ago when I moved here. The prices here is comparable for the quality of food and service for this type of establishment. They didn't survive decades running a shoddy operation. So give them a try and enjoy the meal. It is worth every penny.

Came for brunch and was pretty disappointed. It’s really a lunch menu with a handful of breakfast items on it. I will say that the bottomless Bloody Mary deal softened the blow significantly.

I have always loved Jensen's. It's clean, quiet, and the service is consistently great. If you are into the load bar scene don't go. If you want a perfectly prepared meal and cocktail this is the place. Order extra popovers; they are great (and so is the butter)

This is a classic restaurant with everything done right. From the delicious, generous cocktails, to the phenomenal crab cake appetizers, and loaded with lobster mac and cheese; it all was a delight! The sides were fantastic and New York strip was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Service was attentive and on point, with grace. Clean restaurant with extremely comfy booths. Bathrooms were also very clean. I will definitely be back.

Bottomless Mimosas on Saturday and Sunday were the best deal by far! The bottomless Bloody Marys were not so good, lacked flavor and garnishes. Overall good experience.

They squeezed my wife and I in without a reservation on a busy Saturday evening. Walley, scalloped potatoes, and lobster Mac and cheese. It was all fantastic. This was the third time I've visited and each time I come I dread that it'll be the time that disappoints. They never do, it's been fantastic each time. Do yourself a favor though, make a reservation so your wife doesn't give you "the look."

The greenest thing on their menu was the olive in my martini. This place has everything you want from a steakhouse - quiet but lively atmosphere, great service, and killer food. Keep it up Jensen’s. (OK I lied they did have grilled asparagus and a house salad but this is a meat and potato palace).

I wanted to give Jensen's five stars, but the server cost them one. Everything about this place is amazing, the food, the options, the ambiance. But the server impacted our experience. She was rushing, wasn't helpful when asked to explain the difference and preference between the three walleye options, seemed annoyed that one of us did not want a beverage, she was basically rude and unware of it. I have been to Jensen's before and my experience in the past has been great. But this time I brought people who have never been there before and they were less than impressed. Sad.

Great food, reasonable prices. Took a client here for dinner and everyone’s food was great. We all really loved the popovers they serve with the meal. I ended up getting a gift card for my in laws for Christmas. Hope they invite my wife and I with to join them when the decide to use it!

Delicious food here! Had the parmesan walleye, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, French onion soup. Our server was excellent and very personable. The popovers tasted slightly overdone/burnt, but they were edible. Everything else was great!

Unfortunately, I could not indulge in the delicious looking popovers as I'm gluten free. I had the sauted walleye which really didn't have a lot of flavor and was undercooked. It was a little dark in the restaurant so I couldn't really tell until I got home (I brought some home) that it was indeed undercooked. 😏 …

Just left here after a having a wonderful brunch with my sister and daughter. Friendly staff, great waiter who introduced himself not even 5mund after we sat down. We were never went without drinks, never had to look for him. We didn’t even have to ask for to-go boxes. Which if you hate when a restaurant provides you a large box for a section of a corner worth of meal, no worries, small boxes exist here haha! The portion sides were pretty big. Only could finish half my meal. I ordered the crab cake Benedict but changed my eggs to scramble with cheese, thankful they make to order. Every bite was better than the previous. We’re in a pandemic so rest assured mask are worn by your waiter and bus-person space is still provided for social distance. You won’t be disappointed. TIP YOUR WAITER/WAITRESS. Thank you Jonathan.

I really enjoy the food here. They bring out this bread (my mom calls them popovers), which is so delicious and you open up the warm inside and add some honey butter. They taste absolutely AMAZING. Then for meals, they are on the pricey side, but they have great options and it all taste amazing. My family members has a steak and they said that the cut, cook, and taste of the steak was one of the best steaks that have had. I had a delicious pasta. The beverages here are also really good. The service was quick and the workers have always been friendly. The place is clean and they do have outdoor seating. I really enjoy this place!

I can honestly say I've never really had bad food at Johnson's it's always been very good this trip the lobster bisque was very salty and not much in it. The wait staff there has always been over the top this time and I know everybody struggling for help, the girl that waited on us needed a little more experience we got our soup last I asked for lemons for my water 3 times. Maybe she was just new.

We came here for our anniversary, this was the first time out to a restaurant since Covid hit. Very nice experience, the waitress was great, we felt quite comfortable with the safety precautions being used. The food was very good, been awhile since I've had a popover! I liked the lobster bisque soup, however it seemed a bit salty for my taste. The combo of walleye and petit fillets was just the right amount, both were done perfectly. Will definitely be back.

The food is really good and the portion sizes are huge. The club sandwich can easily feed two people. The only bad thing are the french frys. The crinkle cut fry's are just bad. They are bland, with no flavor and no salt and this would be a five star review for sure if they would just swap out the fries. Bottomless mimosa's and bloodys on the weekends are fantastic. Service has been really good. Seriously , just change up your fries!

We came here after our courthouse wedding as a little reception. We had a party of 6. At first our server was very attentive and got us drinks right away. But quickly he became less and less present and aware of our needs. I never was able to get another glass of wine, my husband wanted to order a drink and he never was able to. Every time our server was around the table he was in and out in second before we were even able to speak. My mother in law tried to order coffee at the end of the meal and she needed to shout to him as he was walking away from our table because he hardly ever gave us time to speak. I understand that it was a Friday night and they were busy, but we were also there for a very special event that they were aware of. The food was delicious, best steak and popovers! The manager was very accommodating to make the reservation for our special night. I just wish our waiter would have been more present.

For Valentine's Day I took my wife to Jensen's. The overall experience was perfect. From the quiet room set up for couples, a rose on each linen-covered table to the softly playing romantic music; to the impeccable service and the outstanding food, the afternoon couldn"t have been better! One of the last of the good ol supper clubs.....they don't build these anymore. That said, they fail to offer a decent NA Beer, does anyone still serve Sanka for decaf coffee? No? The tired argument that good NA beers "do not sell and take up space" fails. NA Beer is the fastest growing segment...Heineken, Samuel Adams have jumped in. I bet we could find space for a 6-pack or two....and dust off a few wine bottles that are... For your patrons who drop $200-350....the key is a good experience.....O'douls does not cut it folks.....we won't be back until you up your game.

The wait staff was top notch at taking and remembering orders. Stayed ahead of knowing when I needed another one. The food was great! From Bob's bread to the poppers, Greenberg, asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, chicken, and steak tips. Would definitely recommend! 👌

Was not impressed with our visit. The meal was ok but not great. The garlic mashed were pasty and sticky and obviously overcooked or whipped too long. The filet mignon was ok but had no flavor not even a pinch of salt. I do not usually season food at restaurants as they should not really need anything. The meal felt like it was living on legacy alone and not the strict quality standards I would expect at a restaurant 🙂 f this caliber

Server Mark was excellent. AMAZING popovers with honey butter. Caesar salad needs more dressing, fresh ground pepper, and better croutons. Cannot recommend the Twin Fillets because they came wrapped in bacon, which we weren’t expecting and it overpowered the taste of the beef. EXCELLENT crab cakes. Blackened ribeye very good! Twin lobster tails: DELICIOUS. Crab legs: as good as Red Lobster. Chocolate flourless torte: great! Creme Brûlée: great! Decor was old fashioned and lovely. It was jam packed at 9 pm on Saturday night!

Nice atmosphere. Good service. Lobster bisque was salty and had no lobster in it. Burger was ordered medium and received well done. Fries were quite undercooked. People in our party that had the fish sandwich were quite happy with it. I would probably come back and try again.

We picked this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had reservations and were seated almost immediately upon arriving. The selection of whiskey and bourbon was good in my opinion. Nothing obscure but all of the regular selections. All of the staff we encountered were very courteous. The only small criticism I have is that my steak was a little more rare than I ordered, but it still tasted fantastic.

Everything was wonderful. The staff was personable and knowledgeable, and the service was surprisingly quick, I was expecting a huge wait. The food was great. I really liked the popovers that they served before the meal. I also got a shrimp and noodle soup that was very rich and delicious. The corn dogs, however were what my younger sister got and they were absolutely awful. I hasten to add that everything else was wonderful, you should definitely try this restaurant, but don’t order corn dogs. The crayons were also of low quality, so that’s a warning if that sort of thing bothers you. When I came, it was decorated for Christmas, and was very pretty. All in all, a great experience.

Due to covid, my husband and I have not dined at the restaurant in the last 1.5 years, but I recall the wait staff being earnest and polite. We have ordered carry out for our last two birthdays. The steaks and lobster bisque are our favorite "special event" meals. The order is easy to submit online and the host staff are pleasant and helpful.

I know Jensen's is much better than this which is the most disappointing part of it. We had dinner at Jensens Supper Club, Eagan on Saturday. Nov.20th. There were 4 of us and all our meals were great. From their house salad, the delicious popovers, and the entrees. I had the chicken parmeson pasta dish and my husband had the coconut shrimp. The other couple had their famous walleye and the chicken parmeson pasta. Everything was so good. They also have a promotion where you can sign up to get a discount on your meal and get a piece of cake for birthdays & anniversaries. Have gone to Jensen's many times and they always deliver a great meal.

My husband talked about this place for years. He took me there for our anniversary tonight and I have to say..........I was impressed. The service was great, the staff were on top of things but never did we feel rushed. I didn't even realize they had cleared our dishes they were so not disruptive while doing so. Then there was the food, the Bob's bread was something my husband raved about and again.... I was impressed. I have never had bread like that in my life. I had the shrimp pasta and he had the steak plus we added the garlic mashed potatoes. The pasta was a flavor explosion in my mouth, the potatoes were amazing and the steak was perfect. I am excited to share my opinion and even more excited to go back as we definitely will be.

Just not like the Jensen's we knew and loved (i.e. Jensen's Supper Club). Salad had bad lettuce. Popover's were smaller and tasted bland. Garlic mashed potatoes were lukewarm. The bread pudding was nothing more than soggy french toast with raspberry sauce over it. Didn't even bother finishing it. Gave it three stars because they still can serve a good filet! But for the money...I will go elsewhere.

Jensen's has been my go to brunch spot for many years! The wait can be long depending on the day and time of day but it is SO worth the wait!!! They can also seat you on the other side in the bar if you ask/they have room. I've tried many of their different eggs Benedict, this last visit I tried their banana pancakes!!! So. Freaking. Good. And obviously so very fresh with the ripe banana slices you can see in the cake. Finished off with some eggs and sausage and I had to take most of the pancakes home because they are huge! Priced fairly, and the service was attentive. Also, get a bloody Mary. Just do it!

The Salmon Salad was fresh and delicious but seasoning on the salmon and more vegetables than lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes would have made it competitive with other restaurants. Popovers are a lovely touch but I select salads to avoid bread in sandwiches because I am gluten free to avoid inflammation. I had to wait for my beverage to be refilled twice and dislike searching for a waiter; exceptional waiters replenish beverages prior to requests.

I haven't been here in a couple years. Not as good as I remember. We had two waitresses who couldn't figure out which one had our table. Very confusing. Neither one of them asked us how our meal was. The potatoes were great. The steak was just ok. For the price, steak should have been much better. I will try again in a couple years.

A great dining experience as always. Took my staff members with me to enjoy our anniversary and made a reservation online. We showed up about 15 minutes beforehand were well greeted and seated right away. Enjoyed the time there paired with good wine and great steak with lobster tail. The pricing to me was on the higher end, given the location and their long history and primarily the great service we had received it was worth it. I wouldn't mind doing this every so often if the pricing was a little lower, but the staff was happy our clients enjoyed it.

This might be one of the new go to places. The atmosphere is exactly what I expected. Not a ton of commotion or loud noises. Pretty much exactly what you would expect waking in. The food was great. I ordered a ribeye cooked medium and it was cooked perfectly. Juicy and flavorful. The Au Gratin potatoes are the number one reason I will be back. Seriously they are amazing. The only reason I can't give 5 stars in because the booth was pretty cozy, almost uncomfortable tight. And the waitress wasn't up to the level I would expect for a $120 meal. Not horrible but it could have been better. All things considered, I'll be back soon.

I’m going to give 4 star ⭐️ and the only reason it didn’t get 5 is my “rare” prime rib came med -well. The gumbo soup was absolutely fantastic, my brother had the Ribeye and was great. My daughter had the steak tip pasta and that was also amazing! Our waitress was responsive, fast and quality was really good. Be aware of the cheese hash browns as it’s just hash browns with melted cheddar. We all agreed at our table that they should do a creamy cheese mixture instead of melted cheddar as it was bland. All sauces from béarnaise to a wine reduction was also very good. My wife highly enjoyed her shrimp and double bacon wrapped fillets. Surprise to everyone we all tried each other’s food and the main high light was the beef tip pasta. Everyone’s favorite!!! Highly suggested and we will be back for that and a 2nd attempt at a correction of my prime rib. Good work Jensens !

Several days before I made a 5:00 reservation for our anniversary. The day of turned out to be very chilly outside so I cancelled our reservations and chose curbside take out instead. We both are high risk for Covid. When I pulled up at 5:00 I started to call to say I was there to pick up when there was a knock on the riders side window. A masked waiter asked my name and placed my order on the floor through the window. Our steaks and sides were exactly as ordered and still piping hot when placed on plates at home. Everything was delicious!! It was the best meal ever. Thanks Jensen’s for making our 43rd anniversary a memorable one during these trying times!!!

This would really be a 3.5 but there is no half star option. We are here right now for lunch. it. Was not busy so we got seated right away. The service was fine the waiter was very helpful. We got the soup of the day which was beef stew. it was more like vegetable soup. The consistency was soupy and not thick. My wife got the Reuben she said it was fine and she asked the waiter if the meat was sliced thin he answered yea....and it was just as he said it. Would be. I got the fish sandwich which is lightly breaded. it. Could have used more tarter sauce but it. Was ok. As a fun side note if you come to the restaurant 75 times you get a plaque over a booth and you .get to be seated in that booth when you come. The lunch price was decent for the portion. it. Is worth a try.

This is the Minnesota supper club experience refined. The wait staff was very attentive and personable. I had the prime rib and it was fabulous. There was some but not too much fat on it and it was cooked perfectly. The crab cakes were almost to Maryland standards and I say that because I used to live in Baltimore. I think one of the best things is that it is quiet enough that you can hold a conversation without raising your voice across the table. The price was fair versus other steak houses I've been to. I have paid far more for less at other restaurants. So, if you want an honestly good meal without all the atmospheric glitz this is a great place to go.

Average quality fare at a higher than average price. But the classic supper club ambiance is worth something too. Semi arrogant staff. Old school attitude of "if you don't like something, you're free to mention it to us, and we may barely seem interested". Don't expect the usual side dishes to be included; for example, of you have prime rib or steak there is no potato choice, unless you ask for it, and pay the extra charge. Most entrees only include a choice of two types of salad. A bit disappointing that a $50 prime rib dinner does not include a choice of a 50¢ potato. Also, the 16oz prime rib seemed a bit small. A big martini was$12, and an Arnold Palmer was around 7. For these reasons, Overall value was 6½/10.

My wife and I have been going to Jensen’s for years. But tonight’s meal was phenomenal. My filet Oscar - fantastic! My wife’s walleye and coconut shrimp - exquisite! Their manhattans are our favorite; the house salad was perfect; and we had as many pop overs as we could eat. All this and our food came in a timely manner... did I mention the place was packed? The service was fantastic!!! If I had to decide on a last meal, it would be tonight’s dinner at Jensen’s... though I’d probably add a brandy Alexander😁 Can’t recommend Jensen’s enough!

Wife and I decided to check out Jensen's on a whim (as we're newer to the area) and had an outstanding experience & meal. I had the 14oz Ribeye (medium rare, cooked perfectly and was well rested) and wifey had the Salmon (best she's ever had). Loved the atmosphere. Service was top notch (server gave us space/didn't interrupt us). Also, really liked the booth we were sat in, very comfy. Will most certainly return.

What an easy, breezy ride it is to get to Burnsville from the western burbs. Once you're there at Jensen's Supper Club the best is yet to come. Libations flow like the Fountain of Youth; Ponce de Leon would be envious. I mean a full glass of a vodka martini with another several sips left in the serving glass. And the popovers... served with honey butter? No reason to eat at home, because after the starters a fresh cut salad arrives, giving Rice Krispies a challenge with a satisfying snap, crackle, pop. Walleye here, is the winner. Sautéed with thick, textured tartare sauce on the side; it's served piping hot. and next to that you might find a loaded baked potato steaming after being cut open. Amidst the good humored patter with customers, the staff runs double time to the kitchen and back. You want a reason to get out of the house? Dress up nice and take your lovely to a great place for dinner. They say life is unsure, so better to start with dessert first? Not here...lay the foundation for a great finish by enjoying a great dinner. Jensen's: It won't disappoint.

I had steak and broiled shrimp. Both were absolutely fantastic. The steak was cooked as I ordered it, medium rare, and it was delicious. My wife ordered the parmesan walleye which was also very good. I had an Old Fashioned which was made perfectly. My only complaint is that the beer options are limited and they don't have anything on draft. This is a pretty minor complaint though since it's more of a cocktail place.

Update - I came by just for a snack of sorts. The popovers are beyond delightful and I got a tray of those along with some coffee. Both of the staff members I interacted with had been here at least 10 years and they kept me taking care of until closing time. Great place. We were meeting relatives near the Premium Outlets in Eagan and this was right next to (practically inside) the campus. The popovers came free with the meal and the waiter brought us more when we asked (they were good!). I was happy with the portion sizes and the flavors. We were still on the sunday brunch menu at the time we showed up. I expected the menu to be larger, but there was plenty of variety on the single page. The staff was attentive without being overbearing and for a sunday brunch time it wasn't too crowded. The layout and woodworking is pretty neat.

My son moved near here so we thought we would try it. 4 of us with tip cost $200. That included drinks, appetizers, sides, Main courses and dessert and coffee. My husband had the special walleye and mini fillet mignons. He loved them. I had the 8oz Manhattan steak and it was the exact cook I asked for and seasoned perfectly. My son had the chicken/pasta and his sig other shrimp and they both loved it. The asparagus with hollandaise was great..they brought my son a to kill for chocolate cake for his birthday. My only exceptions that gives them 4 stars-the pop overs could have used some HONEY butter not just butter...the house salad needs an overhaul-the caesar is great. The canned mandarin oranges, too much iceberg lettuce and supposedly sweet pepper dressing (no idea how it got it's name as it was ???) Plus blue cheese crumble (no mention on menu and I hate it). The artichoke/spinach dip was just nothing special. Coconut shrimp not too outstanding, the mushroom side was whole mushrooms cooked to be kinda rubbery in just a swim of butter-not really a sauce. No condiments for steaks offered or on table. (A1 or 57 etc) A 6 or 7 star goes to their martini and Manhattan drinks(many to choose from) -you get your drink and the shaker which is another whole drink!!!!excellent.

I will start with the likes: the atmosphere is nice, the customer service has been good, and popovers are a fun add to a dining experience. We love trying and repeat-attending great restaurants, and are very willing to pay for great food. My issue is the food has always been just so-so, but it's priced for a higher quality and taste than what is delivered. One huge issue for me is whether ordering steak or prime rib, they cannot get it cooked right, it's overdone no matter how I ask for it. The sides are ok, and I feel the soup used to be much better. I've gone back a few times hoping for a better food experience, but overall would just rather go to Fogo, Murrays or even Pittsburgh Blue and spend a bit more. Between the two, I actually prefer eating at Jensen's Cafe in Burnsville. Although not a supper club, every meal at the cafe has been exactly as expected and delicious.

We have always had wonderful food and service! The popovers are to die for and my twin lobster tails were delicious. Meals are ala carte, but do come with a choice of 2 salads. Been here twice both for birthday parties. The food is good. We had prime rib once and another time I think something less spendy. It is true the prices are quite steep but for a restaurant like this both times I've had quality food so I can't complain. I'm willing to pay more for something I can't or don't know how to make at home than food I can, that is the point of an outside experience. The one reason for the losing the first star was lighting, I'm not old and I can't imagine what it would be like if I were seeing in the dark just really gloomy atmosphere. Secondly the next star went away for the stains on my glass and silverware. If I'm paying this much some of that money could've went to the dishwasher for better soap and some to a worker to dry it. Still go try it - expect to pay big money though.

My husband & I ate here last night for the first time & half-way thru the meal I told him I'm so impressed with this place that I'm going to give it a raving review! Well here it is: I can't say enough good things about this place! From the second we walked in the door, greeted warmly by the host to the time we left & were told by at least 2 people (3?) 'Thank you & have a good night'! The wait staff works with a solid team effort, several waiters pre-bussed our table (which is a favorite thing of mine since working as a waitress years back). My 'bourbon old-fashioned sweet' cocktail was probably the best I've ever had...for sure the best in MN (Wis knows how I like 'em....MN is different!). The popovers alone are enough to give a raving review over! Our meals were superb...my prime-rib was superb (thick, not much fat, cooked a perfect medium-rare). Special nod to our waitress Jodi & her coworker Angie for being a team-player! This place has got 'it' all figured out, treats you right, spectacular service throughout, wonderful food & drink - we truly felt appreciated here, more than I can say than at some of the more expensive 'fine-dining' restaurants in downtown Mpls & St. Paul. We will definitely be back & I will definitely tell everyone we know to come here! JOB WELL DONE TO THE OWNERS, MANAGEMENT & ALL THE STAFF!!

I loved it!!! The place was so classy with nice hardwork floors and deep red leather booths. The wild rice soup needed no pepper. Pepper would of thrown off the sweet cream flavor and the chicken was perfectly tender but done. My filet was prepared to perfection and my potato rounded out pure scrumptiousness. A truly great place to eat. Everything from the food to the service is fantastic. A nice mature setting where you don't have a bunch of kids screaming or rowdy teens. The steaks are mouthwatering and I think the best thing to get. I usually get one of the combos with either the lobster or crab. Drinks are perfect. And you get alot too for what you pay for. We had a 7:15 reservation, we get there about 7:10 and check in with the manager who is at the host table. We are told it will just be a minute while they check on a table. The manager leaves and the host comes back, and seats about 6 other groups, we finally say something and the host appolgizes profusely and says he did not know we had a reservation. At 7:35 we are finally seated at a table. The manager comes and appologizes for the delay and offers to buy a bottle of wine, so we order one. Our waitress Laura dissapears for 15 minutes, before returning with the wine, and we still do not have menus so we ask for menus and she dissapears for more 5 minutes finally comes back with menus and tells us the special. She leaves again and does check back in with us for 10 more minutes so we order and request our popovers (since the waitress failed to bring them out). It is now 8:15 and we finally get brought our popovers a full hour after our reservation and 40 minutes after we sat down. The food was good with the exception of the shrimp. The waitress brings us the bill and the wine was not comped. The only reason I give the service a Poor-Fair rating is because there is no Horrible. Our waitress was unfriendly the staff........ anyways far better places to go for your money at 60 bucks a person (which it will be if you order anything good, sides cost extra, plus wine) your better off going anywhere then hear.

Was disappointed from the get go by no beer on tap and unavailability of french fries as Jensen's does not have a deep fryer. Instead, you get Yukon shallots--whatever those are--with your $15 burger. Ended up going with the petite filet and walleye combo. The portions of both proteins were, as expected, small but the steak was cooked exactly as I asked and the walleye was great. Complementary popovers were also a nice touch.

Since our previous visit (over 18 mo. ago), Jensen’s Food and Cocktails has undergone a major renovation. The results are outstanding! The restaurant itself is now much brighter, very inviting, and more comfortable. The food, and our service by Linda, were top notch! Spouse ordered the parmesan walleye, served beautifully crispy on the outside with a hint of garlic, and moist and tender on the inside. The lamb chop special, described by Linda, was prepared perfectly, to medium-rare, and was served alongside a very flavorful onion/berry sauce. Both entrées were preceded by a delicious Caesar salad. A nice bottle of Jacob’s Creek Shiraz accompanied our dinner and we finished by sharing a generous portion of Jensen’s marvelous turtle cheese cake. Way to go, Jensen’s!

Went for NYE and service was slow but that was expected. Waitress was very nice but not aware of the menu even though it was a smaller menu. I am allergic to mushrooms and when asked if the wild rice soup had mushrooms she said yes but then checked with the chef and told me no and brought me a bowl. The salad was their house vinaigrette which had Mandarins and blue cheese. I dont care for blue cheese so I didn’t eat any of the salad. I ordered the ribs and asked if the sauce was Smokey and told no it’s not. It was very Smokey almost like they poured liquid smoke in the sauce. When she asked how it was I told her that it was extremely Smokey and she apologized and offered another meal. I did decline and ate a little and then asked for a yogi container which I let there on purpose. This was not a place I would consider coming back to but the server while not Knowledgeable about the food tried to make it right. They have a nice dining rooms. Large wine and scotch menu too. I’d like to give them another try when maybe they are less busy and have more time to answer questions about the menu. I’m disappointed for $150 meal but willing to try again like said before.

O.M.G AMAZING. So i got a groupon for my husband and I. Im so happy that i got it. The food is fantastic the service was to die for l. You never want to leave and they dont rush you. I didnt feel out of place. I would give it 10 stars if i could. It was wonderful.
