Their chai tea is on point. The food is great. We waited awhile for our server to take our order as i guess they were busy with online orders. I would go back though

OMG! India Palace is our go-to place for indian food in MSP. Everything is always fast, fresh, and delicious. Staff are extremely friendly and courteous. This place is always packed, so you may have to wait a bit for dine-in at peak hours. Takeout is always fantastic as well. This visit we got the vegetarian dinner for two, and the food was more than enough. We have enough leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch! It was very delicious and affordable!

Definitely a must visit.They have a variety of Choices to choose from.I love their chole bhature.The staff were friendly and nice.Also the service was pretty quick.I recommend it for good Indian food.Also you can ask them to adjust the spice level.Incase you are new don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations.

This was my first time eating India food and I’m most definitely coming back!! The food was delicious and also as a family of 5 we ate a lot and the food wasn’t even expensive and we had left overs for the next day. We also traveled 2 hours just to come and it was more than worth it

I decided on a whim to try India Palace. I was actually on my way to Uptown Diner and smelled the food in the air and changed my mind. I came pretty close to closing time and they were welcoming and took my order. I asked for the Lamb Biryani very very hot and and emphasized that I REALLY wanted it hot. Baybeeeee!!! They delivered! It is so good, I tried to call to say thank you but they were already closed. I just cant say how perfect this food was. Amazing, cant wait to have it again. 10/10

Came with a friend to dine in and we ordered a lot of items. The really negative thing was the nonstop loud music and dance video that played the whole time. Like being at a Bollywood style rave. Not a good dining experience -- it was hard to even have a conversation amidst all of that sound. Our appetizers -- pakora, samosa and naan -- did not taste fresh. The fried items had that distinctive unpleasant old oil taste. They also were all only lukewarm in temperature. Not a good start to the meal. On the positive side, our vegetarian entrées (Shahi Paneer, and a mushroom saag type dish) were quite good, and the portions generous. The rice was perfect. And they got the spiciness level of my dish (a 3 out of 5) exactly right. Over all, our experience was just okay, with most items lacking the "wow factor" that comes with really fresh authentic Indian food. They probably need to scale down their menu, focus on freshness, serve food piping hot, and have a quieter, more relaxing dining room.

ok so here's the deal with India Palace...this is my go to for Indian food,and by that I mean my go to.Picture your significant other looking into your soul and uttering the words "you want Indian food" and you know you share the same brain... it's love. Chicken Tikka Masala is the source of re-occuring vivid dreams of happiness in my life BUT there are 2 things you need to know 1.Naan- unless you specify (even then it's no guarantee) it will be doughy...for my liking. I like Naan crispy on the outside like it's spent a little time in the oven...maybe that's just me. 2.This is the hard one...there's a new person in the kitchen and the only way I'm sure of this is because sometimes my dreams of happiness are turned into nightmares I cannot escape.ex. My go to Tikka Masala had this person's hands all over it because not only was it dry but there was no sauce just chunks of dry chicken.When the dream destroyer isn't in the kitchen everything is perfect..and I mean perfect. That is why I still give them 5 stars.

It was a late lunch, so we opted for the dinner for two options that comes with pakora/samosa, biriyani and a dessert. We asked for mix pakora but what we got looked like aloo tikki. I don’t know if this is what is served here as mixed pakora but it was definitely not pakora. However, it tasted good so we didn’t mind. Now, I can’t say the same about biriyani. To begin with, it’s not a biriyani! Seems like no Indian restaurant in twin cities know how to cook a biriyani. This place was not different to that. It is more like a mix of khichdi/fried rice/rice mixed with vegs and meat thingy. It didn’t taste bad, but didn’t taste good either. We got gulab jamun as dessert, and it was okay. The service was good. Place was clean. They have parking in front of the store.

Superb food and friendly staff. The food came very quickly considering we visited during peak dinner hours. Great new interior and lighting. The only thing that’s a bummer is the parking lot is small. Definitely would visit again. (Chicken Josh pictured)

This place is so under-appreciated. If you go, you must try the Gobi Manchurian (pictured). The garlic naan and pakora are also stellar. I also had the Tawa Paneer (pictured) and it was very good.

Today we went to this restaurant, we tried kadai tofu for the first time and indeed we loved it. Onion naan and garlic naan were too soft that my kiddo loved it. Indeed it was so tasty. As it's a north Indian restaurant I thought I can have Rasamalai which is my favorite. But I was a bit disappointed as it's not upto the marks on the taste and the color was white,may be it's bread rasamalai it seems.Apart from this sweet everything was so good, food, excellent customer service, restaurant.

Not only is the food delicious and the value outstanding, but the staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is welcoming and warm. You have a huge selection of traditional Indian foods that are made and served authentically as well as beverages and deserts. Can’t recommend highly enough.

First time trying Indian Food with my son, got the Tandoori for two and it was delicious! Got medium heat and it was just right for MN spicy, very tasty, but not to the pain. I have to wonder about those who can get very very hot. :-O

Delicious food! We got the vegetable chicken curry and chicken makhani. We ordered medium spice for both and they were quite hot for us! (White Minnesotans here). Still delicious but I think I’ll get the mild next time :) Garlic naan was excellent and portions were huge. Definitely have enough leftovers for a second meal for each. Plenty of rice sent for each meal. Will definitely eat here again!

Loved it. We ordered via Uber Eats, food was delivered in about an hour. Two Naan breads (garlic & Peshwari), vegetable Biryani and Chicken Vindalou were more than enough for two of us to share. We’re looking forward to a dine-in experience next time.

Favorite Uptown-neighborhood Indian restaurant! First time getting take out from here for a larger group - over $100 order with many similar-looking entrees and nothing was labeled. We were able to figure it out of course, but this could be an issue for people who have allergies or other food sensitivities. Food was excellent and still warm, so no complaints otherwise!

I usually take photos when dining out. I didn't this time - was too enthralled enjoying the food, ambience, and experience that I forgot! Owners/staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. Large, varied menu. The food is just beyond words. So flavorful and just perfect! I swear, I thought I had died, went to heaven, and heard the angels singing! It was very busy when we stopped by, a testament to the quality of dining, so consider a reservation. A+ experience and I can't wait to go back! 🧡

Great little gem of a restaurant! Small restaurant with a friendly staff and a quality tasty menu. Not all Indian food restaurants are the same. With Indian food its all about seasoning and India Palace does not skimp on seasoning. I love their yogurt and mint sauces. Nit watery like a lot of other places. Their Paneer nan is so yuuuummy and they have a great combo platter. Large menu too. Simply satisfying every time I visit, which is often.

I've gotten take out here a few times and it's always been great. Today I had their outstanding lunch buffet. Everything was perfectly prepared, just a little on the mild side. The dining room is a sort of modern elegance and the prices reflect that. My guess is that everything is 40% more expensive than other good Indian places but I say it's worth it.

Wonderful place for delicious food. I always manage to get the same waiter, and he is lovely. Buffet is good for being offered every day, entrees are incredible. Price is reasonable. I only wish they had more vegan options! My go to place, nevertheless.

Excellent service and everything was so fresh and delicious. We asked for everything we ordered to be mild and it was. Next time I'll be more adventurous. I've been to the buffet here as well in the past and that too was full of delicious food and many choices. The only problem is that there is inadequate parking due to the fact that it is in a strip mall with space for about 12 cars total. Naturally, not their fault.

Thankful they had seating since I didn't realize indoor dining was reservation only. We ordered the lamb saag and india palace special. The food was amazing and the service exceptional. Very friendly staff. My only feedback would be they questioned my spice level choice and I don't think it was a true very hot. But being from out of town it was still delicious.

Delicious! Also, the ordering online is very simple and clear. If you have a vegetarian in your life, the options are ten times what you find at most other restaurants. Multiple locations make sure that they will be close to your home, and food was still hot after a 25 minute drive for me. Finally, one serving can be all you eat in a day. Two entrees and two appetizers fed two adults and 2 kids.

We are so stuffed, I don’t think I can drive. The spice level isn’t as accurate (very hot is like mild for Indians) but the flavor is amazing. Overall we had a good time and the value is pretty good! Portion of food is worth the price. Greatly recommend paying a visit to this if you’re in the city for a night, like us, and want to eat something Indian.

The only downside to this spot is how limited the parking is. The food packs in flavor without being weighed down by greasiness or saltiness. We make a point to visit India Palace every time we stop into Minneapolis and have never been disappointed! Try it, you won’t regret it!

My husband and I drove 1 1/2 hours to try out this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. It was worth the drive. The food and service we're great. The only cons was the small parking lot, decor, and size of the restaurant. Despite those things it is awesome!

Ground lamb based dishes here are really good. Like their kheema naan and samosa. Other than those, I can't really recommend anything. Food tastes decent but everything is so similar. Especially the platter starters and chicken gravys. Leaving 5 stars anyway because of the excellent service.

Called to get information about delivery because I tried to order online and was told I'm outside the delivery zone although I live 9 minutes away. I thought that could be a mistake on their website so I called to ask, but before I could finish my sentence they said "I don't know anything about that, miss, just try a different company". I called in the hopes of ordering for pick up if delivery didn't work, but after being treated that way I just hung up. Maybe their food is good, but I guess I'll try a different company! Update: I talked to the manager today and he apologized for the experience I had. He was friendly and explained the kinds of delivery services that they use and how they work. It looks like I got redirected at some point to a service that they don't use, which is probably why it said my area was too far away to deliver :) that's all I wanted to know when I called and I'm glad I have that information now!

We've gone to India Palace a good number of times. We love their dishes -- we've tried many. When they first opened they definitely had some kinks to work out, but they've since done so and are a great place to eat. The employees are all very friendly and courteous as well.

Excellent Indian food buffet -- truly delicious with a great variety of favorites (and new soon to be favorites)! Parking lot is small, and the location lacks some of the ambience of some other other restaurants in this price range, but food makes it all worthwhile. Especially enjoyed the fish curry and chicken masala.

The lunch buffet is excellent! The selection is small but so, so good. You don't need 4 different buffet tables because their dishes are so packed with flavor! I recommend trying everything but make sure to leave room for the naan!

I have not had indian food that has smelled or tasted like this since being at a childhood friend's house over twenty years ago. It has not dawned on me until now that different regions of India have greatly different styles of cooking. This meal was not only satisfying, but also was the closest thing that I will ever experience to time travel. Thank you for the amazing food!

India Palace sets the standard for Indian cuisine for the entire metro area. Their dinner-for-two option is a full experience and I recommend it especially for date nights or special occasions. Garlic naan is my favorite but I always get a regular along side. I've always been delighted by thoughtful service and delicious eats at all of their locations. The lunch buffet is consistently on-point too and the curry is so comforting. I recommend the buffet for work meetings because it's a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy!

I love this place! My friends and I try to go every time we are in the area. There is limited parking, but we have always been able to find a spot even when the restaurant is full. If we come at the right time we like to have the buffet. It has the most variety for a great price.

The food here is seriously amazing. My boyfriend and I go here weekly and we're never disappointed. The sauces, the vegetables, the rice, the meats, the pudding: ALL FANTASTIC. It is truly an experience. Also, that lady that said the lamb samosas had dry meat is insane. There is no such thing as dry meat there. All the meat is soft, juicy, and tender. Practically falls apart when you look at it.

We were thoroughly impressed. Pascoal was an amazing server. We weren't quite sure what to order because we don't know Indian food well, and Pascoal was extremely helpful. The food was amazing. I love eating off the buffet here! I really like that they have almost as many vegetarian dishes on the buffet as dishes with meat, fish, and poultry. Today being Sunday, they had one of the more special desserts, gulab jamun. It's sort of like donut balls soaked in rosewater flavored syrup. Yummy as usual!

I've never been in the restaurant, have only ordered takeout, but I can say the food is delicious. We get the garlic naan, veggie samosa, chicken tikka masala (very spicy) and makhani paneer (spicy). As someone who likes spicy food, the spicy & very spicy levels have a kick but are pretty manageable. The food also heats up great the next day for leftovers!

Just stumbled across this Indian food place. It was good, a little expensive and I LOVE riata. But this rendition was not the best. It was way too salty. I could only eat a small portion. I have never experienced a similar taste. Usually I am licking the bowel out.

The lunch buffet was awesome! The chicken curry, chicken makhani, palak paneer, and chicken tandoori were all delicious and stocked well. The naan had great consistency and taste, not too oily and not too dry. I also ordered the hot black tea which was great as well. I will definitely be back.

This is the best Indian food in the Twin Cities! I've been a happy customer here for going on five years. Personal fav is the baingan bharta -- a smoky eggplant dish that makes my tastebuds do backflips! Lots of quality veggie options and a wonderful, friendly staff.

Indian is my favorite cuisine and I have visited many restaurants. This is definitely one of the best I have gone to. I have tried multiple things from the menu and it is always delicious. The dessert kulfi is amazing! Affordable and good portions. Definitely recommend.

The beef josht and the three kinds of naan we ordered were amazing! Also two entrees is enough for 3 meals! The servers were very friendly and gave us a really sweer and creamy rice pudding on the house since it was our first time visiting. I have no clue if that's standard but it was really kind of them!

We hadn't ever been there before and just stopped in to get Aloo tikki and Samosas and Mango Lassi to share with a hospitalized friend who was being allowed to eat for the first time in more than two weeks. The food was great. We would definitely go back, but not during Friday evening rush hour. It looks like a charming little place to walk or bus to, or to order out from, but I can't recommend trying to order online and just drive there during rush hour to dash in for a pick-up order. That was chaos. Nice pleasant folks, though.

This is my go to place for Indian takeout and I’m embarrassed to admit just how often that happens! The food here is always great—my personal favorite takeout dishes being the chicken makhani and the various saag dishes. When I dine in the samosa chaat is one of my favorite appetizers. The service here is always friendly and very relaxed, which is fine because I’m usually there for a while chatting and eating with friends. Occasionally in the quarterly Uptown magazine the send along a great deal for buy one get one free entree. Highly recommended!

Today we got food delivered from India Palace, and it was amazing. Quick, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I had the dal with naan, which was creamy and spicy, and my husband had chicken curry with rice. For dessert we had Gulab Jamun, the perfect end to this meal. Some of the best Indian food I've had in awhile, and it's paired with some amazing service as well. Anil, the manager is a great guy who takes part in every diners experience, he isn't the type of manager who "supervises" other people work, he takes a very active role in the restaurant. We had a great conversation about Indian food throughout the U.S. and where some of the best places are. The nights I visited here I ate the same thing both times- malai kofta and some garlic naan. They even made the malai kofta spicy for me when I asked them to, and that is always great when an Indian restaurant does that for you and trusts your tastes and abilities to handle the heat. All the food tasted fresh and of high quality ingredients. I've heard and read really great things about their buffett, but I only came here for supper and ordered off the menu. If you want excellent food and great service, this is your place. I will definitely be returning here on my next visit to Minneapolis.

All the awards on the wall are just due. The selection of entrees alone is top notch and the flavors are astounding. I could just fill up on the different kinds of Naan bread alone. Our favorite was the cheese filled one. A must eat stop in the Twin cities area.

The food is not all the way authentic but the place is nice and service is good. I would suggest not to get ice with the drink because the ice water taste chlorine in it so avoid the ice if possible. Otherwise the lunch buffet is good and they have enough dishes to fill your stomach.

Been to minneaolis 3 times and have eaten there all the times. It is probably the best Indian buffet that I have had in USA for the past two years. All the dishes are really tasty. They tend to add mango pulp to the mango pudding which adds to the flavour. Also the gulab jamuun are made there only which makes them hot and even more delicious.

India Palace made me fall in love with Indian food. I don't normally mess with buffets, but obviously that's the best way to taste all your favorites without paying $100 and having massive amounts of leftovers. Naan on the buffet instead of being made to order like they used to do in times past isn't great because sometimes it's not hot, or it's sort of hard, but at least I'm not wasting an entire order when I really just wanted one more triangle. My favorite dish is chicken makhani, but when the chef makes the chicken into meatballs. Close second is Gobi Manchurian, but it's hardly on the buffet line. It's all good though. And please folks, don't take your already eaten off of plate back to the buffet. Get a new plate, were you raised by wolves?

First Indian restaurant which I visited in the town. Ambiance - Decent look with Hindi songs. Amazing mouth watering smell of food. Service- the person who served us was very humble. There was one lady I think she is the manager here. She made sure about taste and everything. Food- Now comes the main part, we ordered 2 appetizers, 2 curries, and bread. In Curry, we selected paneer and kofta. In paneer curry, Taste of paneer's curry is somewhat similar to tomato soup and the kofta's curry is the thicker version of the paneer curry. So, kofta's curry is generally cream in color. In an, all this place doesn't have authentic Indian taste which I am looking for. Cost - I don't understand why this place is so expensive. Will not like to go again and won't recommend to anyone.

They delivered right away with less citrus and it was on point afterwards. Our 2nd appetizer Naan bread with the cheese in the middle was delicious & great for dipping in soup. Niece lived it too! I rate Indian my Indian buffet experiences on the following criteria: flavor, variety of dishes and price. FLAVOR- Spot on! You can taste the spices in the dish and there are a few spicy dishes, which are a personal favorite. 5/5 VARIETY- They have items that you do not always see at Indian buffets; samosas, gulab jamun, saag paneer and mango pickle! 5/5 PRICE- Not the cheapest.
