One of the best buffets in all of Minneapolis. The staff is very friendly and efficient. There is always fresh food rotating and being served. The sushi is easily the best quality for a buffet, it's always delicious and they have a lot of variety. You have to try the hibachi when you go, you can build your own and customize. MUST TRY!!!!

The food was good and fresh. The restaurant was clean and very nicely decorated. The waitress was friendly and our glasses were regularly refilled. There was a lot of variety. The sushi was top notch. The location is a little confusing to get to, but I definitely enjoyed the experience.

The one on the right is her plate... She must be thinking of someone out there....and mine.... Many selection.... And I love it I usually go there and pick up lunch or dinner for -10 dollar...I can go there everyday of the week and never run out of choice ....it's a feast.... The employees don't look at me unless I ask... They take their money and I go.... But today this old man stared at me like white people do... When I go into their property... But that's fine he is probably very americanized.... You don't want me continue Enjoy don't give them people hard time

Most of the time this is an excellent buffet the food is fresh and it tastes excellent and there’s a lot of variety but the last time I went The shrimp it was kinda old and a quit seat shrinking inside the shell this usually means it’s old and or has been in the warmer too long and I complain to the manager and he kept finding excuses and I’m not convinced with his explanation. Also my son had an upset stomach that night after eating it which makes seem even more likely that it was just old. While normally I would give them 4 stars and a positive review but I’d give the last visit only three.

My wife and I have had to move for school and clinical rotations for the past two years and have missed all the holidays with family so, of for nothing else, this place gets 5 stars just for being open on Thanksgiving and giving us a place to go. As far as mass buffet she restaurants, it gets a 4-4.5/5. Most of the good was pretty tasty though. Some specially items, like the crab legs and sushi, were a big miss. Also my bet I ordered was frozen haha. BUT if you stick to most of the basics, it's good. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to come back here for a buffet-level of hunger.

Great place! Good food huge variety of dishes. You find people that speaks your language (Spanish, English, Chinese, etc.) Even though always is crowded, the people there has a big smile for you.

The restaurant was peaceful, food was amaaaaazing, te ambiance gave you the sincere culture of the beauty of the chinese culture. I was visiting from Atlanta, seeing my father whose a patient at the local hospital and needed break from the stress of seeing him in ICU. I decided to have a late lunch at this restaurant because it was within close proximity of the hospital and was throughly pleased. I hit 4 stars instead of 5 because before leaving the waitress demanded a tip (which I was going to the car to get in cash) the demanding turned me off. I returned the following evening to try the dinner menu and had an unpleasant experience with the cashier who charged me 7 dollars more than the dinner menu price and wouldn't give me my receipt nor did she ring me up. She just gave me a price and expected me to pay. I gave her the dinner price that was listed on the wall and kept the extra 7 dollars she attempted to bribe me of. I gave that 7 to the pleasant waitress who served me that evening. But all in all minus those 2 dismays from staff its a delicious restaurant for a peaceful meal. Just be mindful and watchful.

It's not the best Chinese food I've ever had, it's just a Buffet, I've worked in Thai restaurants, Mexicans and French restaurants, at the Hotel Sofitel, Mai Thai, Chi Chi's and the food was great, Habachi is just a Buffet.

Went during food change over. From lunch into supper. Lunch food only ok, supper food was very good. Neighborhood was not good and alot of beggers and homeless. But this restraunt did have good food at supper, alot of customers, and good service.

The buffet is quiet small. They could use a few more booths for seating. Would make the customers feel like they have a little more privacy. Ive seen more variety of food at other Chinese buffets. I have to compliment their crabs! Ive not seen anywhere else but here with so much meat. They must have one of the best crabs that I've eaten so far.

The food is really well seasoned and well priced. For two adults you will be able to eat at about $32. You're not going to get any uncooked food or cold food. The staff here constantly trade out almost empty to empty trays for freshly cooked food. Excellent customer service. Although if you are a picky eater you will have to pay for every pound or so left on the plate. It'll be very wise to choose wisely what you place on your plate unless you'd like to pay for that pound

I had a lunch with my brother's family just at the end of the year, thought the weather was very cold, the restaurant was fully occupied, the food was good, staffs were amazing, except there's a few minutes wait and has few parking lot.

This place is very, very good. Classic Chinese buffet fare, sushi, seafood, and a grill. All of the food tastes fresh and hot, and the sushi is of WAY higher quality than you'd expect for a place like this (no offense intended, Chinese buffet sushi just isn't generally that spectacular, and by that metric this place is a standout). Decently priced too. They also have beer and wine, but I can't comment on price or quality (not 21). Overall, incredibly solid choice if you're craving Chinese buffet fare.

Good food, nice variety on the buffet, the Hibachi was prepared very well, it is difficult to prepare shrimp on a grill without overcooking. The sushi bar was exceptional there were a few varieties that I had never tried and was delighted by the new experiences in flavor. The staff was also warm, welcoming, and I enjoyed their service.

The waitress was so lovely & the place was clean. We did dine in on a Thursday so probably why it was less busy, but we went around 3-4pm after I got off work. This was the first buffet I have ate at that had the most variety of sushi to choose from, I love it! Definitely would go back again! I didn't get any photos, my little family & I were having so much fun, & enjoyed the food so much we didn't even pull out our phones. We just moved to MN, and this Chinese buffet hands down was the best one we've gone to! We had no trouble at all the staff, they all wore masks and we shared some funny conversations with our waitress, we did not get her name, but she was awesome with kids and her customers.

I've been going to this place for years and have always been treated incredibly well by the staff. Kind and cordial service and incredibly thankful for any tip they get. And honestly they most definitely deserve the extra bump in their pockets with how nice, courteous, and clean they are. The food is better than decent but isn't the most mind blowing thing I've had either. But I think that's not a bad thing in the least. The food is consistently delicious and that hibachi is a wonderful option to go through. The sushi is tasty as well! All for a fair price.

Do you want to know a secret? I grew up eating Chinese food my entire childhood, only to come to the conclusion that this is the best CHINESE BUFFET *including sushi* IN THE METRO AREA. Yes. I eat here twice weekly and the waitresses know my face. So what? They even know my entire family. But we're Asian and we still come here and we're addicts to this good sushi and Chinese with hibachi. It's not always perfect but it's quality and taste is better than 99% of places.

We really enjoyed the buffet tonight! There’s a nice variety, everything tasted fresh [for a buffet] and the waitstaff was very prompt in removing dirty plates and getting refills! We found this to be a great deal for the amount of choices, including a drink & dessert table. :)

I never knew... I was picking out everything from the buffet thinking that I was going to make a humongous salad. But- I had no idea that they cook it for you! When it reached my table both my friend and I begin eating with chopsticks at first, then we realized they were too slow so we picked up our forks and dug in! Decent spot. I suggest the Hibachi section of the restaurant because you can get it hot and fresh. This buffet had a no waste policy that demands you to pay $5 per every pound of food you don't eat. Whether you like it or not. I found this absurd because you are already paying more than $20 per person. Other than the hibachi the food was just blah. For 2 adults, a 12 year old and a 5 year old our total bill came to $70+

The restaurant had a great buffet and was reasonably priced, the grill was very tasty and the chef knew what he was doing and was very pleasant to talk to as well as the rest of the staff. I would go here again, I went around 3 and there was no waiting.

I went for lunch and the buffet food was pretty good. It was hot and the pans were kept full. There was a variety of traditional Chinese dishes as well as the obligatory pizza and kiddy foods. They serve Pepsi products which is disappointing but cheaper for them. The Resturant is clean but is definitely in need of a redecoration. The staff was friendly and attentive and quickly removed the used dishware and kept my diet Pepsi (yuck) full.

Food was PHENOMENAL! A little spendy. It was about $34-$35 with just water, but the food was absolutely worth it! The only downside is that if you don't finish your food they charge you $5 per pound. If they were just a liiiitle bit cheaper & you didn't have to worry at what point they charge you extra, I would have given it 5 stars.

Recently ordered a Sushi party tray for a post Christmas meal and man was it a big hit! Beautiful presentation, yummy sushi, and great price. Our only down fall was not ordering more because it was so good we all eat more than we thought we could! Also the staff was super friendly and sweet! This place is now my top take out sushi spot.

When you get the food fresh from the grill it's amazing. The buffet food sits out entirely too long the teriyaki chicken was cold cold the yellow fried rice was hard and had not been turned or replenished. The service was good and our drink server was attentive and polite.

Love this place! It's the most affordable buffet without sacrificing quality. Sushi is better than average, hibachi grill is bomb, at the buffet, chicken wings are to die for. Love the fried plantains and char siu as well. If you like mushrooms, they are plentiful as well. When I go here alone, I like the takeout prices because it's by weight. $4.99-5.99/lb. That's quite a bit of sushi for $10-12. At least 16-20. Spicy tuna, philly and fried tempura are delicious 🤤

Tasted like a normal Asian food buffet. This one is $2-3 more expensive than the average buffets ($16 per adult). I did like the grilled teriyaki chicken which tasted fresh with good spices. Apart from the surroundings of the restraunt, I am overall satisfied with my stay here. They have a good variety of meats but not enough with vegetable foods. Too many things that are fried. If you are health concious, your options are limited. If you like meats, you have a lot of options. I would cut down on fried foods and meats and innovate with fresh vegetables and soups if I were the owner of this restraunt. The downside are those riot caused burned down buildings. It's a ghetto place here. You can see burned buildings outside the window of this restraunt. Overall its an average buffet. Nothing stands out that would make this place special. This restraunt has potential to stand out like a star in this part of town.

I saw someone leave a comment that someone smashed her back with a water bottle, which was completely upside-down. I also ate there yesterday, obviously this person smashed the front desk with something and made loud noises. She ate happily and complained that the food was cold. We eat here quite often. Food on the buffet line is refreshed often ... No dried up leftovers. Staff is friendly and service is great. I once went in after falling in a puddle of water in the parking lot. They provided plenty of towels so I could dry off. Feb13 2019 ... This place has been redecorated and the food still great.

Huge selection of food, they have 6 different buffet stations, a sushi bar, a Hibachi/Mongolian style grill station, and an ice cream machine. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was tasty and hot. Prices were very fair, about $14 each for dinner on a Saturday. Will definitely return many times in the future!

Nice buffet featuring a variety of Asian food as well as sushi. It's reasonably priced, clean, and the service is good. The food was very tasty. The only issue I had was that there were not many labels on the food indicating the ingredients, so if you have allergies or dietary restrictions, it may be a bit of a struggle to find out what exactly is in the food.

Paid less than 20$ for the best Asian buffet I've ever had. They have a plethora of different foods available - sushi, fried chicken, beautiful and yummy desserts, and so. Many. Different. Types. Of. Shrimp. Oh, and ice cream. Seriously, guys, anything you can think of, they have it. And while i didn't indulge in the customized hibachi, it is available! Parking lot is perfect - plenty of room for the time of night I went. Great atmosphere, clean, fresh, yummy food, kind staff, there's nothing to not love about this place. New favorite Asian food!

This is a typical all-you-can-eat buffet where you grab whatever food on your plate and pay at check out. You don't know the prices but I figured in this type of place in this part of the city it shouldn't be too bad. One food plate and a can of pepsi was $15.95. It's not too much but another place would have better food for that money, I must say I wasn't satisfied. The food was OK. To me it was a bit too fatty and some dishes were what it seemed re-cooked leftovers. Food selection is great though, you can get many vegetarian options (although you don't know whether they were cooked separately from meat / fish), different kinds of meat, fish, shrimp, sushi, grill options, and even some soups.

Whether I go with friends, or get the to-go option at lunch, I am never disappointed in this place. I have some regular favorites, and always try at least one new thing whenever I'm there. The lunch buffet to-go is inexpensive, and if it comes to over $7, you get a free pop or soup! **EDIT** I had to add that if you're into dessert, grab a piece of the Mocha Cake. It's pre-made, sure, but it is SO good with a little coffee after dinner!

The only restaurant my girlfriend and I can agree on is buffet 😏. I was not happy to be in this neighborhood, and I was in a bad mood anyway. She insisted the food here was good, having ordered it on BiteSquad earlier in the week. Well... EVERYTHING was good! Great! We have been to a lot a lot of buffets in the Minneapolis area, but the food here is the best.

Good food for a good price. I think the best value here is the sushi. There aren't many places where you can get all you can eat sushi period let alone the price they are charging. It's not the greatest sushi you'll ever have but for the price it can't be beat. I would say the rest of the buffet is really standard. Nothing stands out as all that great or bad. Service is good and it's always easy to get in and out quickly.

Small crab legs, nice variety of Chinese though. Hibachi grill. Fresh sushi. But cleanliness of the tables and cups... not the best. You can tell they just wipe around the salt and pepper shakers and don’t pick them up and wipe underneath. Service was good, refills were quick. Cleaned up our plates. Lines were quick.

It's a lot more expensive than it used to be. But the food is better than a few years back. They have a decent Hot&Sour soup, tasty hibachi grill, good selection of hot dishes. The fruit and desert selections are enjoyable. Soft serve ice creat - chocolate and vanilla.

I love love love their coconut shrimp. It's very yummy better than other buffets I've tried. They don't have as much variety selections as other buffets too but their food taste very good. My only issue was their floor is slippery due to moisture of the room. Gotta be extra careful with ur steps. Other than that me n my bf always go there for lunch bc he works nearby❤

Always have a good experience when I come to this Hibachi. They make you feel like you're at home eating a meal. Very helpful and full of smiles. The food is great with a decent amount of selections. It is also a kid friendly environment. I would recommend here if you're looking for a laid back home like friendly place to eat or bring your loved ones to. They have a small selection of beer and wine as well. And a phenomenal sushi bar!

Not bad for your typical Chinese buffet. Prices start at $12.95 for dinner for one adult. Buffet offer all the usual Chinese dishes plus sushi. This place also offers a variety of seafood dishes such as mussels fried in black bean sauce and stuffed mussel shells, one of my favorite's. Definitely casual dining in this restaurants spacious dining room. You certainly won't feel cramped in this place.

Saw this place while driving and decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed one bit. Food was amazing. Not your average Chinese buffet. Have the normal foods and your more exotic Chinese/Japanese food. Sushi is also amazing. Would recommend to anybody that enjoys Asian food.

Generic Chinese buffet for a great price! It’s larger than most in Minneapolis... the sushi was what really made it worth the trip. It’s a family place, so unfortunately there were many screaming kids. It kind of killed the joyful mood when there are kids running and screaming with parents ignoring that behavior and staff not calming anyone down. Next time I’ll try to go at a time that’s less busy. If you don’t mind that environment then I recommend this buffet! Again the food is fair, but based on the price and the amount of options it ends up being worth every penny!

The service here is good, the food was a little bland but acceptable, place seemed clean to me. Doesn't have a huge selection of foods but does have a decent amount of them. Sushi seemed good to me especially like the hibachi grill. I don't consider the place pricy at all. If you're in the mood for a large comfort meal and only need decent quality food, this is a great place. If you go in expecting average buffet quality meal you'll be pleasantly surprised, but if you're expecting particularly high quality food you'll be disappointed. The sushi buffet is a high point and made fresh. Overall I find the Japanese food prepared at the grill to be of better quality than the Chinese sitting out in the bins.

We go here quite often, you could call us regulars, they do. It is hit or miss. Often items can be under or overcooked, but generally fresh and consumable. Sushi is normally on point. $3 Modelos and what not. Management can be hostile with direct complaints so leaving a review here would probably be best or at least more beneficial.

Easily could be a 5 star Buffett without this strange flaw. They have a grill included in the Buffett, I would recommend using that instead of eating off the prepared food on the buffet. Very good experience. They did not have everything I expected, but that is not a surprise. Some of it was bland (not unexpected), but much of the other items had a taste and texture that made going there worth the time and money. Salad bar was standard stuff, nothing special. I went as part of a group and we all had similar opinions--so it is a good place to go for families. They have a soft serve machine (with cones, if you want) with three flavor choices--chocolate, vanilla, and both. Somewhat different food options are available during the day than in the evening (we went at about 2pm in March 2015).

Not gunna lie probably the best chinese place to eat at on East Lake st. Its perfect if your in a taste for Asian but on the go so you just grab the to go lunch special, 4.49 per pound + plus tax. I decided to take my family to Hibachi because of the good reviews and we like a variety of food choices. Hibachi has good food and is very affordable. Unfortunately, they did not receive a 5star because the sushi bar was mostly empty. The main buffet stations were kept full, but only the sushi station lacked. I will definitely return and hopefully the sushi station is more than 1/3 full so that I can update this review.

This is a neighborhood hangout with calming traditional music and modest, unassuming decor setting the ambience, CNN on television for catching news during lunch, and very friendly staff. Small but good beer and wine menu, and a pleasing sushi bar, though sometimes it's evident that the rolls have been out a bit too long (somewhat dry sushi rice).

Chinese Buffets aren't exactly gourmet affairs, but they can be good if you're lucky. Hibachi Buffet is among the better ones, mostly due to its cooked-to-order hibachi bar among the other buffet options. There's also some decent sushi, and a few surprisingly unique dishes like octopus among the endless steam trays of beef & broccoli and sweet 'n sour chicken. And at these prices, you'll be hard pressed to find better.

Go straight to the grill and select all the fresh ingredients and give them to the griller. While waiting, walk through the buffet and see what's available for round two.

IN OUR OPINION! This place is amazing! We came for the first time July 5th at 2:30 pm... Great customer service from the second we walked in the door. Very relaxing and open atmosphere. Flat screen tv's all over the sealing. You can watch them prepping fresh food along with there awesome Mongolian style grill and sushi (which I realistically have to say with the 100+ types of sushi I have experienced in my 31 years has got to be the best I have ever tasted) . Tons of different types of food from taquitos, Broc and chicken, pizza, ice cream, baked goods... Etc... This is the first time we have eaten here and idk if we jus had a very good experience... But we will definitely be back and I'm telling my friends.. A+++ IMO!!! 💓❤️💕 (PS. With a 5$ tip and a soda it cost the two of us 25$)
