Group of 10 on a Wednesday night. Not very busy and had great service by Cece. Food was fabulous and fun happy hour specials too. Stop in if you are downtown St. Paul!

What a beautiful venue. Great drinks and delicious food. Would love to dine in front of the fireplace next time. Don't forget you need to make a reservation.

We shared two apps as a snack. Both were tasty but I wouldn't travel across town to eat them again. Service was attentive.

I stopped in for lunch. I was very impressed by the attentive servers. My seafood linguine was wonderful. The sauce was particularly impressive as it managed to be bring a buttery flavor to the whole dish without being overpowering.
The cocktail I had was a modified mule with just enough novelty to be interesting without deviating too far.
Atmosphere splits the difference between sports bar and classy restaurant depending on where you sit. This makes a nice adaptable place but can be a little conflicting.
Still, a great spot in downtown St Paul for a more expensive high quality meal.

I love this place from top to bottom. Friendly service, ambience fit for a romantic date, walking distance (almost all indoors) from the Xcel to the front door and Rice Park right outside. The food was terrific! For a Friday around supper time in January (only an RV show happening at the time), the two of us got a seat at the bar right away. I enjoyed the walleye cakes (which were big enough for a meal and take home). My friend had the meatloaf and loved every bite!

Very nice space, and good menu. We ordered the smoked chicken wings, Herbie Burger, and the kids mac and cheese. We were happy with all of our choices on the menu. We did bring our 1-year-old to the restaurant, and we wish we would not have brought our child. The atmosphere is more like a fancy sports bar; not really conducive to a chatty toddler. Overall, definitely would recommend Herbies without kids!

We were going to see a show at the Ordway and I had hoped to eat here. Unfortunately, they did not have reservations available when I checked online ahead-of-time. Once we drove out and found parking, I called to see what kind of wait there was to determine if we had time to eat before the show. The host (I assume) who answered the phone was VERY kind and fit us in for a recently-cancelled reservation. The food was GREAT. Our waitress was wonderful and very attentive which was incredibly helpful since we had a show to make. We will definitely be back!!!

We went across the Landmark Park from our hotel in St. Paul, looking for lunch. We had an initial hiccup: the handicapped entrance (to the building) was locked, but we got that sorted out. (You need to press the call button.) The server was by himself so service was a little slow, but we were in no hurry, so we were good. The server was competent and nice. The food was very good. We both had Cobb Salads, spouse without tomatoes, no eggs for me. I also had the wonderful mushroom bisque. We’d go back.
