The Cubana has everything except a taco on it! I was full (and yet comfortable) all day. Seriously: hamburger, cheese, hot dog, chorizo, avocado, and more. I dripped on my shirt, the tray, table, pretty much everywhere - because there was just too much goodness to hold. If it causes a heart attack, then it's the best way to get one, haha.

The smell of this place will catch your attention from the minute you walk in. They have cheap prices and a variety on their menu you won't find anywhere else when ordering Mexican cuisine. The food is served hot and delicious and there's some tables outside so you can enjoy the outdoors while listening/watching to whatever sports game happens to be on and enjoying your lunch/dinner and visiting with others in the community. You can order ahead of time if you don't want to wait or you can choose to have your food delivered.

Incredible. I had the Del Gordo Cubano, probably the largest burger I’ve ever eaten (the thing had like 4 different kinds of meat on it, a fried egg, avocado, and a ton of other stuff), and it was only like $14. My partner had chicken tacos and they were also super good. It was fantastic. I seriously recommend eating here.

Multiple vegan options BUT only if you go into the location - you cannot order the vegan burger or burrito online for delivery You have to call to order those or order in person - they’re available if you order online for pickup! You can order the vegan tacos online though—The soy curls are great! Other than that- good options! One of the best restaurants in the Metro by far <3 super nice staff and delicious food

The Del Gordo burger with fries is very good. Kind of messy. I like the triple taco dinner. The Nordo??? something. It comes with amazing beans and rice. Get the Verde sauce. It was great. The red sauce was boarderline too spicy for me. They were closed the last time I went. Hopefully open back up soon.

This food is top-tier!!! It is so good at good pricing too! Would recommend it to anyone who wants good Mexican food. As well as recommend it to anyone who wants to try something new. I feel like this is the place to try something new.🥰❤️‍🔥

The food is good, but they charge extra for credit cards without telling you. Then they don’t make the prices cash-friendly. The #2 comes to $14.03, so you have to get 97 cents back instead of them just reducing the price by 3 cents.

Excellent food in a super laid back atmosphere, traditional Mexican hambuguesas but better, juicy burgers with all the fixings. Aqua frescas like they do in the south. Charro beans were delicious, packed with flavors. Asada fries, OMG, cheesy goodness with steak, onion and cilantro = tuck me in, I'm out! Updated: smashed el Gordo burger on a hot summer day, no lines but no AC either, it was worth the sweaty wait, tuck me in once again, I'm stuffed!

Food is pretty good service is lacking. Price discrepancy between location and aps like UberEats and Door Dash. Food is great and would recommend for pick up, not delivery. Have had many issues with delivery, and not all the delivery systems fault. Have pre-ordered for specific time hours before and got order hours late. Have also ordered where driver keeps switching after paying for priority, then they arrive and tell me Food is not ready. Then today, the PA says after an hour of waiting will give back $20 if we pick up, click on it and it goes from preparing to ready. Now, 90 mins later wondering how long the foods been sitting. Point is Food is great, but delivery or them being timely is poor.

I got the the Del Gordo Burger meal and my friend got the vegan street tacos. We also both had Elotes Clasico. Everything was delicious and filling. The staff was helpful and the food was made quick even though they were busy. I highly recommend going here.

This place gets 5 stars for their service and food. Cinthia is the best and always takes care of me. The food is amazing. I love every single item on their menu besides the burgers. (Which are still great, just not my cup of tea) The tacos are sooooo good and my go to. You have to try the quesabirra and the asada fries! I also love the jalapeño poppers. Always great.

Very delicious food! They serve beer, have a patio, and an interesting array of Mexican folk art boosts the modern decor inside. Lots of seating but no parking lot. You will find a spot on the street about a block up, plenty of space there. We chose their signature burger the "El Gordo" , and the Cuban "El Gordo". We also tried the Elote on a stick. Very, very good. The portions were great! They really load up on the toppings, and throw you 20 potatoes in French fries. It was a super hot day so they had the doors open letting an army of flies in. They were annoying and the lack of A/C further devalued the happy moment. FOOD was delicious! Give it a try, lost two stars for the reasons mentioned above. Good eating.

Well, wife and me went to give it a try and experience was ok. Pros: burgers are huge, they serve a lot of fries. Staff is super friendly. Cons: dirty place, you’ll find a lot of flies around you and your food while eating. Taste: even though they add a lot of great ingredients to burgers that doesn’t mean they know how to make them taste great. They’re not bad, they’re just OK. Not even on my top five of the city. Pricey. I know food is really big But regarding of food taste and quality well... And the way they wrap the burgers is just... messy. I really wanted to love them because food looked great on IG but I definitely prefer something like the Triple Threat on Santana’s in Dinkytown. Same size, way cheaper and taste like heaven!

I think the best part about this place is that there's always atleast a 10 minute wait on your food. It lets you know it's fresh and prepped to order. The staff are always so busy but still manage to keep their costumer service game on point. I've never had mediocre meal here, it always pleases the taste buds. Definitely worth the half hour drive, and the wait time for the food. The burgers are so big, enough to fill you for a whole day. I can't recommend this place enough.

If you haven’t tried this place yet and you actually like over the top burgers then you will definitely want to make a trip ASAP I feel like you get more then what you actually pay for and that’s a plus for budget eating. Lots of seating available staff was helpful and food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and I will absolutely be back again soon.

I've been meaning to try this place for a while and I am so glad I finally made it happen! Pictured is the Del Gordon burger (pictured) is delicious, packed full of flavor. They also have tacos, burritos, and other fare. Parking is mostly street, but we didn't have any issue on a Saturday afternoon.

Oh.My.God! How did I not know about this place until now? Hands down, THE BEST tacos I’ve had in Minneapolis. I ordered the shredded beef taco, Al pastor chicken & the vegan option (soy meat), with both red & green salsa. I swallowed 3 tacos before I realized I need photos, cuz I HAVE to leave a review. The meat is tasty & flour tortillas tasted like home-made ones. To whoever the cook is, THANK YOU!

Stopped by here after getting the recommendation from friends. SO GLAD WE DID! The food was great, the staff was very friendly. Our group could not decide whether the burger or the tacos we're better. My recommendation, get both and share them like appetizers. Otherwise, have a big appetite if you're going for the burger. It is def worth swinging by here. You will get a lot of food for a good price. If you can't swing by, they also appear to be on Bite Squad and a few other delivery services.

Excellent menu. Good quick service. You can taste fresh ingredients in their burgers. I have yet to try other items from the menu. It is ample menu tacos hot dogs burgers and more. Dine in clean area with plenty tables. Some flat screens and overall a clean place with restrooms. I am not sure of parking is shared with Cesar inn (bar next door). But usually easy street parking too. A nice easy going latin ambiance. Variety of channels on TV but noise is low level unless it gets crowded or with many unruly babies. For sure an enjoyable experience at a decent price for a menu that is made to order not frozen things. I will be there often.

Nice variety on the menu. There are a lot more choices in the store than what's on the website or the paper menu. The Elote bowl was outstanding! The Asada Fries were really good and meaty. I ate so much of them before my burger that I couldn't fully appreciate the burger. Decent variety of canned and bottled beer. I'll be back!

What a gem! I came here for a solo lunch and got the hamburguesa and fries. The people were friendly and my food order was up very quickly. There are nice shaded tables outside to enjoy the activity of Cedar Ave, and the burger was just to die for. The amount and quality of food you get for the price is just great. This is my second time visiting Hamburguesas El Gordo this week, I can’t get enough! The food is delicious and very well priced. My favorite so far is the taco Norteño on a flour tortilla. The steak is very well seasoned and it’s a really nice sized portion. The restaurant is full of friendly staff and the music gives the place a really positive vibe! Will definitely be back again and totally recommend.

Great local eatery with plenty of menu options and toppings. I had the Del Gordo Burger, which was piled high with good toppings, including avocado. I also had the Dogo Chilango, which was wrapped in bacon, topped with queso fresco, and had a lot of flavor. The fries were crispy and the service was excellent.

Fantastic food here. The Mexican style hamburgers are delicious, make sure to get them all the way with the hot dog, chilis, and pineapple on them. I've had the burritos too which are great and they actually have a really delicious vegan protein so my girlfriend isn't forced to only have beans and rice. The fries are awesome as is everything here. Come with an appetite, you'll be full all day.

Delicious burger. The del gordo burger. I got the jr size which is only 4.99 and way better than any fast food burger. It's almost a torta style burger. In addition to the patty it's got a slice of American cheese, bacon, avocado, a slice of ham, grilled, onions, raw onions, lettuce, tomato, mustard, ketchup, and a delicious grilled fresh jalapeno on the side. Also had their really good cucumber agua fresca. Highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be back.

The look of the place matters not when it comes to food. And it definitely looks fine. Been there twice - 1st. large Del Grordo burger with fries and yes yes and I’ll say yes. 2nd time I had 2 Taco Norteños on corn tortillas …. And that’s why I’m writing this review which I never do. Those two fuggin pieces of food were in love with me, they definitely expressed that. 3 bucks and very much worth it as todays food prices skyrocket. Anyway, go get some! Oh yea, and there are some super cool friendly folk that work there.

It makes me sad to leave this review because the food is really good. But we’ve ordered takeout here at least a dozen times over the past year and have actually gotten what we ordered less than half the time. We cut them slack because they’re in the neighborhood and the food is good, but I think we have to be done. Tonight we ordered 3 burritos online and they came with no beans, avocado, veggies…only meat and cheese. We called and they said they knew; they were out of beans and avocado. At 6:00 on a Friday, with no word at pick up or acknowledgment that they didn’t give us what we paid for or give us a choice. Not cool. Eat here, but do it in person so that you can have it fixed when it comes out wrong. FOLLOW UP: the crew followed up and showed great customer service. I’m hopeful that order accuracy will improve because again, their food is bomb!

Pros: My review is completely carried by the taste and quality of their tacos. All of them are absolutely delicious and you will not go wrong. I HIGHLY recommend you go, but really only if you get the tacos and if you are prepared to be a bit confused when ordering and picking up. It is worth it though! Cons: That said, Hamburguesas El Gordo has a few issues. 1) Their menu is confusing and different between the store, online, and online ordering from a takeout app. I have had trouble getting what I want when ordering tacos and the burger several times. 2) Their burgers are not great. I've had them twice at this point and both times they were dry and lacked taste. 3) The elote has great flavor, but has been overcooked probably 2/3 of the time we've gotten it. 4) Picking up food is confusing. Only two people are allowed inside so you feel awkward about going in to ask if your food is ready, and you don't know if they've maybe come out and already called for you, etc...

I desperately want to give Hamburguesas 5 stars, but the incredibly slow service sours even the best tacos. It seems like no matter how far ahead you order, it doesn't start getting made until you're at the counter. The tacos are incredible but prepare for a 30-45 minute wait, no matter what time of day you go

This is the easiest 5 star review I've ever written. The Del Gordo burger was the shining star of our order (so much flavor) and has become a top 5 burger in Minneapolis for us. But we were as satisfied with the chicken burrito (huge) and hot dog which might have been over dressed with condiments but the quality of the beef was still able to take center. 100% on quality and value. Well worth the money!

This restaurant at this location is amazing. The couple times I have been here, the food does not disappoint. They understand what a Hispanic spin on a hamburger would be like. The servings are big, there’s multiple items to add on the burger, the hot dogs are delicious and the asada fries are amazing as well. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

My lady any I frequent this place often. Everything I have tried has been amazing. I get the del Gordo burger. Ask for fried onions and your in for a treat. They do have Hibiscus tea/agua de jamaica. They also have the Horchata drink that is so delicious. I drove by so many times and hadn't checked it out until my friend recommended I go. It is one of my favorite places to eat from.

Very good tacos from this take away joint. All 3 meats were really flavorful and I liked the chewiness of the flour tortillas. Their counter service model is. Bit clunky and my food was not all that warm, but that’s the world we live in now. Overall very good tacos.

This is just the sort of tiny restaurant every neighborhood should have plenty of. We had burgers and tacos and fries. All good. I think the fries are delish, but you have to eat them when they're hot or else they're pretty greasy, so takeout isn't maybe the best. If you're a problem solver like me, you'll just eat them in the car on the way home!

The El Gordo is just a great burger. Hot dog was good but not my favorite, especially since the Hamburguesa El Gordo is so dang tasty. Ordering was a bit confusing and took longer than ideal, but I think the cashier was new. I'll definitely be going back for the burger and trying new sides.

There are better places for tacos. Came here for a nortena taco box. We ordered half carnitas and half asada, got my kids cheeseburgers and fries, then ordered a slice of tres leches. The tacos were not very good. The carnitas was dry and bland; thankfully there's a bunch of lime and salsa to help moisten it up. The asada was not good. Very fatty chunks that were sometimes unchewable. The side of peppers and onions were very thick cuts, almost bigger than my slice of avocado. We could not finish the tacos. Took a to-go box for them but I shouldn't have, since they are just sitting in my fridge now. The bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeno peppers were very good. I could only taste the franks hotdogs in the charros, so we definitely did not attempt more than we needed. Now the cheeseburgers looked fantastic. This place looks like they do burgers right. It seems like everyone around us was ordering burgers and only got burgers. My kids are usually not the best with finishing their food when we go out, but they loved their burgers and fries. One of my kids ate his whole burger before we could have an opinion about our tacos. I don't eat burgers much, but I am interested in coming back to try them eventually. The tres leches is delicious! Perfect layer of frosting, so it was not overwhelming.

These burgers are a delicious spin on a regular burger! I was actually surprised on how good they were since I wasn’t sure what to expect. The horchata was also one of the better ones I have had in a restaurant. Fries were also quite tasty. I would recommend a bite here. The inside is also makes it feel more hip.

We live in the neighborhood and finally tried it. The food was 5 star. The reason I'm giving them a 4 is they messed up my order. I ordered through their website and each of us (3 total) customized our burgers and we each ordered a different side. The burgers weren't correct, they either had missing toppings or had toppings we didn't want. They also forgot one of our sides. It was really busy we I went to pick up our order (not at all their fault), but the line for ordering/pickup were jumbled, so even though I ordered online, I had to wait in the order line until I was able to catch someone's eye.

Indulgent, delicious, unusual, and yet very authentic hamburgers. If you want to be dainty while eating or clean afterwards, this is probably not your place. If you’re on a diet, it’s probably not for you. If you want a wonderful eating experience, get the El Gordo and don’t modify anything. My kid likes the food and my husband likes both the burgers and the doggos. After we told them the burgers weren’t spicy we even turned our parents on to this place. So. Good. Great back story too. Give it a try.

This place makes a pretty good burger but it’s priced too high for what you get. Fries are extra and when served to me they were soggy and cold. They do tacos, too, and I think they do them much better. The tortillas are made by them. The meats are good. The salsa is good, but they put it in tied up plastic bags (even for dine-in orders) which are awkward and annoying to open and use. Prices for the tacos are more reasonable. I will be back for the tacos, but not for the burgers or fries.

I had the tacos norteños one with Carne asada and one with al pastor for meats. They were both very good, they also gave me 4 lime slices to squeeze on them and a creamy green sauce on the side along with grilled onions and a grilled jalapeño. I also had the beans which were very good and had chunks of meat with them, and lastly the horchata which was also good. Will be back 100% need to try the elotes

Food was so delicious and full of flavor! Got a taco, a hot dog and a burger to split with my boyfriend and everything tasted good and fresh! Was a little disappointed with the taco... Flavor was good but it was 4 dollars for one tiny street taco and not double shelled like at the taco truck... Most definitely going back though!

This restaurant is ok. What I order: The Classic Taco box Pros The service is fast. The people behind the register are friendly and helpful. The meat tastes good The presentation is really good. Having said the cons are... The tortillas seem to be home made but are disappointing on every bite. The price is on the high end. In conclusion, there was an attempt to elevate the culinary experience of eating a taco and it was successful in presentation but it was extremely underwhelming in taste considering the price.

We ordered tacos on GrubHub while social distancing at home. GrubHub didn't have the vegan options, but we called Hamburguesas and they were very helpful! We just noted that we would like them vegan please, and they were AMAZING! This was the first time we got anything from here and they were the best tacos we've ever had. Whatever they do to cook/season their meat alternative is top notch. We will definitely be ordering again! Edit: we ordered again, and the request to make it vegan was apparently ignored, or overlooked so we got a bunch of food with meat on it. luckily I was able to offer it to my non vegan family members, so it wasn't wasted. super disappointing. So make sure you call ahead if you want to attempt it.

This place is super yummy! We just learned that they make all the corn tortillas in house- the man working there told us that the cooks would probably be there till 3am making tortilla for the next day. The burger is super tasty with a Mexican spin and the tacos are also very good. The burrito isn’t super traditional- no beans or rice, more like a wrap but still tasty.

Hamburguesas lives up to its name with the Del Gordo burger, a mix of beef, Canadian bacon, cheese, peppers, onions, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and optional add-ons, e.g. a fried egg. This is a top 10 burger. The tacos and hot dogs are noteworthy as well. It's worth the trip!

Maybe don't go on Sunday nights after seven. We tried giving it the benefit of the doubt three times and each time the menu was out of items like burgers or wings, we waited 45 to 60 minutes for 2 to 4 tacos, and the food was cold. I'd like to try this place on a good day because I've heard so many good things about it but each of our visits after Sunday futsal league at the YWCA have been a slog. (It was tasty cold food, tho. Hopefully we will eventually catch them at a good time.)

Super good tacos!!!!! Homemade corn tortillas and fried chilis! You know damn well they're going to be great tacos when the salsa comes in a little k and knotted bag. The Elotes were also delicious. They ran out if the meat we wanted so I almost just gave them a 4star rating but damn it, those tacos were delicious!

The woman taking my order was super helpful describing how everything worked and my #1 Combo arrived quickly. It was delicious, messy and huge. I’ll have to go back and try all the other choices. Only bummer was no ketchup for the fries.

The good is that the burgers and hotdogs and fries are all phenomenal. Space is clean and beer is available. The bad was that there was one cashier who was responsible for all online orders, phone orders, register orders, as well as watching out for the outdoor seating and answering all customer questions. Furthermore, this place is by no means fast food. It was a half hour wait from walking in to walking out with food. Expect a wait and bring cash because there's a charge on credit card transactions. Only place you can find the full menu is in the restaurant, with item names that are not explained. The menu on their website has prices that are cheaper than in store. Lastly the ugly. I ordered a burrito that I received, not wrapped but fold it over in three like a letter, a burrito that was cold (not tepid, COLD), and that has the toughest beef I've ever had in a burrito. Taste like the only thing they put on this beef was salt. Overall extremely deflated affair. Order a Chipotle burrito take out the rice and you still have more food than here. It was literally lettuce tomato shredded cheese and shredded beef. Would have still been disappointed if it was cheaper. Only reason this isn't one or two stars is because I've had their food before, and they're known for their burgers. Those are phenomenal. Seriously stick to the hot dogs and burgers.

The food? So delicious! The service? So bad! I would only eat here if you are going to sit down at the restaurant as trying to get takeout or delivery is always difficult/time consuming. I recently tried to order delivery over the phone by calling them directly (I used Seamless another time and they never made my order so I thought this would be safer). After 15 grueling minutes of spelling my name/giving them my credit card (over and over!), the woman informed me they wouldn’t do delivery just takeout. Furthermore, she already typed in my credit card number and wouldn’t give me a refund because she “didn’t know how”. I had to battle to get her to put me on hold for an additional 10 minutes so her manager could teach her how to do a refund. Ugh. Painful. We had another time when we tried to order takeout and after waiting for 1.5 hrs they “forgot to make it”. If you’re eating here eat at the restaurant 😊

I never knew there was even such a thing as hamburguesas. Let me tell you, they are fantastic. I had El Gordo Chicken instead of the regular beef patty. It was delicious. Chicken patty was fresh, and not processed. It had jalapenos,shredded letus, ketchup, mustard, cheese and some unidentifiable sauce. Very good, not too expensive and quick service.

At a price point of 10 dollars the flagship item the "Del Gordo burger" is an attempt at a massive burger. It's made "Mexican" style with a plethora of toppings ranging from 2 cheeses, ham, bacon , heathy vegetables, advocado and Jalapenos. It should be absolutely devastatingly delicious but is held back by the most important ingredient, The beef. The first time I tried this burger it left me feeling flat. The beef itself is most likely Frozen and therefore a uniform, flat, tasting beef. I've been to many taco stands across the country that murder small cheeseburgers with less than quality beef, but something about this one leaves you feeling underwhelmed. It's not horrible, but in it's mediocrity lies massive disappointment. You encounter bites of the toppings working, only to have it lean up against a sad, dry, and boring beef. It's decent enough for a decent homemade burger, but at the price point is a serious disappointment. In a city with amazing burgers, including the legendary Juicy down the street from the cedar location, Gordo is shortchanging themselves by not taking enough pride in their beef game. If they committed to a better quality well cared for beef, they would elevate their game and be among the conversation for one of the best burgers in the city. As a Mexican I am rooting for them. 3/5

One of several new high quality restaurants in the area giving the Standish neighborhood a good name. This place may have 'burgers' in the name, but I went for the tacos! Prices were slightly higher than on Lake Street, but that could be because this is in a nicer part of town. The quality of the steak was very good (great meat in generous portion!). The default salsa was a milder avocado-based one. I think this is the 2nd best taco joint that I've been to in Minneapolis. I visited on Sunday afternoon just after the lunch rush and thankfully didn't really have a wait. Great cheery place to read for a few minutes too!

Very good food. Some of the best tacos I have ever had and the elote is very good as well. The flour tacos are big, so you will only need 2 person (I got 3 thinking they were small like corn tacos). Steak, Al Asada and shredded beef are soooo good. The prices are high in my opinion, so I would give a 4.5 if I could. I will try burgers next time and write another review.

Recommended by my pal John Harris there was no other choice but do go for the Del Gordo, the signature burger with a handmade patty, avocado, bacon, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, grilled ham, pickled peppers, tomato, onions, lettuce, mustard, ketchup, and mayo. Being more of a minimalist when it comes to burgers, I was somewhat skeptical of this "over-the-top-ness"of toppings, but I gotta tell you it works from the bun right through each delicious layer. It has a certain balance and comes off as more masterpiece than gimmick. The whole experience is quite charming from ordering to the low frills space.

Been going here for about two years now when they were in west st paul. From experience, tacos can be a hit or miss, we've had them perfectly seasoned and prepared on a hand full of occasions, otherwise it had been dry or bland or over salted or lacking compared to previous experiences. Its as though there is no secret method to how the meat is prepared, steak primarily, everyone who cooks it has a different method. Our most recent experience 12/18/18, the tacos were overly salted, almost couldn't eat them, but I'm a trooper and was starving, and at $35.99 for a box of steak tacos...and the place closed, what is a hungry man to do, wife downed one dreadfully. Brought a tear to my eye. Burgers and dogs are usually a hit, would recommend trying them for sure.

I’m not a fan of fully dressed/messy hotdogs BUT I LOVE their dogos! Very interesting flavor combinations. The Dogos and Asada Fries are my go to. Very popular place so you will wait longer than the quoted time. Their pick-up system doesn’t seem very organized so be sure to double check your order. Masks are required to enter and Only 3 patrons in the building at a time—expect to wait outside and stand.

The namesake burger is huge and excellent! Get the number 1 for the burger and fries. The elote cup wasn't so good -itd be better if the corn was freshly cut from the cob. The atmosphere was Mexican diner: Picnic tables for most of the seating, but focus on the food! The mini burgers are the size of a regular fast food burger.

Took one of the homeowner's southern family to this super great burger joint in Minneapolis. There is so much food one could share a meal seriously. This was the first time dining in. I usually order to go and pick it up myself that way I can get the elote bowl. It's a clean restaurant with super friendly service for those unfamiliar with the menu, which can be a titch overwhelming. But that is just because you want to try everything 😃. My favorite has to be the burger with pineapple. Stop in here or hit the new one in St. Paul I hear it's just as good.

I'm not usually a burger fan,as I've been known to say, I don't go to Mexico for burgers and pizza. Their burgers are fantastic, I'd call them Whoppers on steroids. 10 x better. They have homemade corn and flour tortillas. Ad that to the tacos and burritos and your infor a treat that I don't know that you can get anywhere else. There are a few places that make their own corn tortillas but I don't know of any that make their own homemade flour tortillas. They also have a two for one special on Wednesdays on their Mexican style hotdogs. They're loaded with all kinds of goodies. The best part is that it's only $3.99 for two. Can you say cheap date. They also have a great selection of Mexican soda and beer. If you really want to keep the price low then buy American soda. That'll set you back about half the price. It's definitely worth a visit, I know I will be back.

Second time ordering food here. Delicious!! This time, we did a phone in order and went to pick it up (in lieu of delivery). I was there a few minutes early of the time we were told it would be done. The gentleman said it wasn't ready yet, so I waited. About 5-7 minutes after my estimated time, the young man approached me and asked the name and contents of the order again. I shared said information and he came back again to write it down. Guess the order got lost and they would rush it. A few minutes after that, a young woman approached and asked how we made the order, the name on it and the contents. She said, "oh yeah, that's right here!!" So I was given my order, she about drinks and I was ready to pay. She said, "no, go ahead and take it." To which I made a very puzzled look and said, "no. You don't need to do that." But she stayed firm and told me it was for the troubles of the wait. I said a big thank you and that we'll definitely be back again. What fantastic customer service!!

Having gone twice now, I feel confident in saying this is a worthwhile stop that replaced the pupuseria before it. The fries are great for sharing, the hamburgers are all around good, and they have a pretty good selection of "traditional" beverages including horchata. On my last trip, I ordered an elote dog - I was expecting a bit of a riff on a sonoran dog, but instead got a delicious hot mess that was impossible to eat in a manner I expect to eat a hot dog. I retreated, and with fork in hand, finished it one bight at a time. I blame a wimpy bun and an abundance of toppings. Not necessarily a bad thing, but worth noting.

The nortenos Tacos are BOMB AF!! The pastor was really flavorful, some nice chunky pieces of meat. The asada was pretty soft and not super chewy like other asada. I loved the homemade corn tortillas! and avocado on top. However, the delicious green salsa came in a little plastic bag tied up like the ones your last minute weed dealer packs your nug in. which I think is both inconvenient for the packer.. and the customer when opening the salsa.

I ordered tacos and a burrito and esquites. The corn was sooooo dry and tasted weird and normally it comes with chili powder or some kind of chile and it didn't. The tacos were bomb but the salsa it came with was in a baggie and smelled like those prepared spice packets you buy in the store and it looked like chile oil, it was weird and kinda grossed me out. I'll be back but I'll bring my own salsa next time.

We got good explanations on what all the food was and options for ordering. I had the Dogo Norteno (I love hot dogs!). The hot dog was cooked but not warm. Not sure if it was meant to be. BUT... the toppings made it absolutely delicious. It was kind of a glorious mess of a sandwich and I just used a knife and fork to eat it. My husband got what I think was called the Del Gordo Cubano (it doesn't seem to be on their website). It was another large glorious mess. The hamburger was not the star (not terribly juicy) but with all the toppings, my husband declared it very tasty. I would be interested in trying more of their food but I'd be happy to get the Dogo Nortena every time.

Food was good as far as taste went. Quality, not the best I’ve had. Although it was a very fair share for how cheap everything was. The horchata was incredibly sweet, maybe a little too much. The cheese on the steak fries was cold, but other than that it still tasted great. Surprised there was only two in the jalapeño popper order. The shredded beef wasn’t torn apart very well, so when I’d take a bite of the taco, all the meat would come out-it wasn’t easy to bite into. Overall, it was good. Nothing too impressive.

Well, I ordered a burger doble and asada fries. From grubhub and I put "no ketchup" in the special instructions box and they actually listened, so kudos for that. First lets talk portion size: GOOD LORD you get what you pay for. The veggies? Good stuff, The fried onions were fried to perfection not too crunchy but not onion soup texture. they were just right. The veggies on my burger were vibrant and fresh with no wiltage. A few jalapenos on top just to throw ya for a loop at spots in the burger, and FREAKIN AVOCADO!!! Most restaurants make you pay extra for that. The queso in the asada fries, Woo lord I would drink that stuff if heart disease wasnt a thing. The cons: The fries were a little underdone and I mean a little. No biggie in my book. The beef wasnt great, the patties in my burger were kinda dry, a damper, but not a dealbreaker for the whole burger experience. Also, the asada in my asada fries was rather gristly. I got some gripes. But overall I was satisfied with the meal.
