Delicious and fast! Went over the lunch hour and didn't wait more than 5 minutes. Home cooked, fresh food, home made fries, hand patted hamburger patties. Can't wait to go back.

TEXAS BBQ? Sort of ......... Everything here is Ok. Not great. Not terrible. Ribs: They were not fall off the bone tender. Wrestling was required for The 3 bones I got. The bones themselves had small amounts of meat on them and the rub on them is so-so. Brisket: The beef brisket was halfway between tender & dry. The "Chef" refused to slice from the point so I had to accept the flat. It was Ok. I did like the smokiness flavor to the brisket & ribs. Pulled Pork: The pulled pork was dry. That is all I have to say about this. French Fries: Meh. I've had better. Mashed Potatoes & Gravy: Very good. I liked this quite a bit. Bottom line. This place is good if you live in the area and want decent BBQ quickly. It's NOT WORTH DRIVING 30 MINUTES ACROSS TOWN FOR. There are plenty of other solid choices the Twin Cities. I would have given this place 4 stars but I could not believe the "Chef" wouldn't cut me some brisket from the point. That's not very customer friendly. Sorry dude.

So you’re some farmers grandson... Does that mean you can cook? Does that give you some chef cred? I don’t know about all that, but I do know my spicy chicken sammich with egg, avocado and pickles now holds the world record for best 24 hour gas station food. The spicy chicken sammich from FG’s is what you wish you were getting when you order a spicy chicken from any chain, ANY. Since it was breakfast time I added a fried egg and avocado. Bomb! FG’s loses one star because being a farmers grandson doesn’t mean you can necessarily hire good help. I’d have loved to have been helped as I stood in the “pickup” area before both employees wandered over to the “order” area. Then, another employee wanders by without acknowledging me. Next, one of that pair over by the “order” area wanders off, no eye contact. As I’m finally about to say “excuse me” real loud to everyone, anyone, probably no one, the guy who’s attention I’ve been vying for for several minutes must have felt some eyeballs on him as he finally understood why I might be standing in the “pickup” area staring at him. I finally got my food, which was just sitting there waiting to be picked up all this time, sans napkins, dipping sauce or even a thank you and sauntered out, probably never to return. A shame as that food was so good.

For a gas station it's got great food. It has one of the better Cuban sandwiches I've had in MN. The milkshakes are also great.

Friendly and treat customers like they are valued. It is a convenience store meets gas station meets barbecue restaurant. They're smoked meats are prepared daily and are excellent . Prices are decent and you can eat in or take out. With my first experience there the counter guy in the deli/barbecue area was very helpful and explained all the different things that one could get, and made recommendations when I asked. I highly recommend this joint! I've taken several different sets of friends and have turned them into die-hard fans.

I give this place five stars as for my experience here was great. The staff friendly and my first time here was not sure how it worked but staff was helpful, order was correct and my grandson loved his mushroom and Swiss burger! Pizza was good and the ribs and brisket was definitely not the worst I have tried. Their food is well priced. For example the mushroom and Swiss burger with fries was 5.99. A 16" cheese pizza is 13.99. A few tables to sit at. You can order online, call, or go inside. Would recommend and hope your experience is as good as ours was.

I've ordered from here several times as I work not too far. The burgers are great. The downside is the past couple times I pre-ordered online for a certain pickup time as I only have a 30 minute lunch period, and everytime I've ordered for pickup I'm there on time and have to wait 15 minutes. I don't think they bothered to start cooking the food till I had arrived and I had prepaid as well.

The food is REALLY good but service is unpredictable and some foods are available at some times but not others, and it's inconsistent. Bummer to go there the same time you have before only to be told they don't serve that sandwich at that time. The menus are unclear. Hoping this is a covid-related service issue that will change in time. I just want some delicious pulled pork and a milkshake!

I have eaten here numerous times. I especially enjoy the breakfast burritos with great coffee ("jamaican me crazy" blend) . But have also enjoyed several burgers and the Cuban, all great. The fries are great! They have a Spicy BBQ sauce and spicy mayo, both of which I enjoy a great deal on burrito, burger or fries.

One of the fluffiest omelets I've ever had!!! And huge too!!! Delicious!!! I came with my boyfriend, brother, and son. We were all very satisfied with our orders. The reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars was for 2 reasons. 1. They didnt have any of the waffle sandwiches available that I really wanted to try. 2. The atmosphere is more like a truck stop plus restaurant setting and I was expecting more of a sit down server take your order type of experience. They seemed a little understaffed also. We overheard some of the employees complaining about someone not being there.

We just finished cheeseburgers fries and onion rings, Always a great meal. Tonight was even better lost track of time it was 8:10 pm, they close at 8:00. Leo said he hadn’t clean the grill yet and would make us our burgers. Thank-you Leo you made my day!! 😀

I came here with my wife and three kids. The restaurant is attached to a gas station. You order at the counter and pick up your food at another. Our order was taken by a less than personable staff person. The eating area is small with only less than 10 tables of four chairs or less. The food was decent and the atmosphere was gas station.

Hit the spot! For being attached to a gas station this has to be the best lunch in town! I had the cheese curd burger with onion rings and every bite was delicious! I've never had onion rings that good!

Wow! I was not sure what to expect as a southern boy when I ordered the “Cheese Curd Burger” with chipotle mayo. What I got was one the best burgers I’ve ever eaten...and for only seven bucks! Staff was very friendly as well. Highly recommend!

The food here is great and the prices are too. They have a very nice selection of different burgers and other sandwiches. The burgers and the breakfast burritos are both amazing, I haven't had a better breakfast burrito in the area.This place is 10 minutes from me but I take the time to drive here a couple times a week and it's well worth it. The people behind the counter are always very nice and friendly and are willing to help

Love this place - good burgers, sandwiches, breakfast for a reasonable price. Need to watch your winning lotto tickets though - the lunchtime cashier often tries to skim your winnings (tells you that a $4 winner is only worth $2...pockets the difference). Need to insist on the winner slip from the machine.

Had some of the best prime rib I've ever had in my life. If I had gone to a higher-end restaurant and paid $40 for the same meal as I got at Lone Oak Market, I'd have been completely satisfied. I think I paid $8.99 for Lone Oak's prime rib dinner. Can't wait for the next time they have it on the menu! Keep up the great work!

I'm from SC where we love our BBQ. I had the rib and brisket combo with potatoes and baked beans. The mash potatoes were real not instant. The baked beans were fair. The brisket was very dry and chewy. Not Texas quality by any means. The ribs were fair. The could have been more moist and also cooked a bit longer. Still alot of connective tissue. Too much sauce slathered on for flavor. No smoke flavor to them. Over all for the price, it wasn't bad. Plenty of food on one order that two people could share a plate. However, there hemade deli sandwiches were delicious. As well as the homemade cookies. They have a great thing going on here as it's part convienence store part gas station part deli. Something you don't see all the time. Maybe add something like burgers to your menu for those who don't like BBQ. In scale of 1-10. I'll give it a 8.

Pleasant stop for coffee and conversation. The menu looks great, as does the array of food, snacks and beverages throughout the service station. Lots of comfortable seating. A good spot to fill up, as well. Very friendly staff.

Definitely one of the Twin Cities semi-hidden treasures. The food is absolutely the best I have had anywhere in my 66 years. The prices are soooooo reasonable for the quality and the amount of food you get! I am so glad I decided to stop by in passing!! Cannot be beat! Congrats to the Farmer’s Grandson Eatery for providing an amazing experience!

Like most others have said. I am pleasantly surprised by this "gas station." It's more like a "food fast" restaurant that is a convenience store that happens to sell gas too. The food was good. The service was great. And it's always nice to have a Shell gas station near by.

This is a hidden gem, I've tried many items from this place and so far my favorites are: Burger - Smoked Brisket Burger Sandwich - West Coast Chicken Cheese curds are delish and their shakes are a must try. I recommend for sure.

OMG- was so surprised by the coffee at this place. i had the Jamaican coffee and i have an addiction now, i wish i knew what brand they served but it must be expensive. will be going there every time i go to the cities now. if the coffee is that good, i gotta try the food. the coffee pots looked like barrels which freshly grind the beans via hopper on top OMGOMGOMG.

Next to New York style thin crusr pizza, Farmers son has some of the best pizza around. Great flavor and an amazing thin crispy crust. Bravo to a great little pizza joint stuck inside a convenience store...who knew?

Went for breakfast right at 10am and learned their breakfast ends at 10am. Looked at the menu for a bit but decided to leave because the thought of eating a burger or sandwich at 10am is not appealing. Great food, but menu times could use a change.

I liked the variety. Got a drink in a mason jar = CUTE. Can be a little overwhelming at lunch time with such a large selection and the pick up/drop off receipt process. But a nice "go to" if you work nearby. The staff has been WONDERFUL.
