Lovely little place on the near south side, surrounded by a ton of coffee and tea shoppes. Visited here with a few colleagues, and everyone's dinner was delicious. The grits were pretty spot on. The pulled pork was tasty. I had the steak fries, and it was cooked to order. The bartender made me a superlative Sidecar - which is something rare nowadays. The sangria was great, as well. Pretty much can't go wrong here.

Fun place to be with a bunch of events seemingly every day. Wednesday is trivia, so get in on that! Food was great, definitely no complaints. The Poutine was wild, the burgers are great, and even the mocktails are worth a shot. Do note it can get a little busy so service may take longer, but the TV's playing random movies may help keep you occupied.

Had a great brunch here! The portion size was perfect and the servers were so kind. I’d definitely recommend the breakfast burrito! Also the atmosphere is immaculate!!!

We atmosphere was kind of dive bar-ish for it to be a modern layout. I ordered from one bartender and I paid before I received my food. And then I ordered from a different bartender and I paid after I finished my drink and I was ready to go. I'm not sure what the policy is here, but I get the feeling it's not the same for everyone or distributed evenly. I ordered the Texas beef brisket soup a glass of water with lemon and the House made Ginger soda. All of which were delicious! They have traditional stall bathrooms, which I understand are easier to clean but not good for privacy.

So good I am back for my second day in a row! Yesterday I got the steak skillet (no pic) and it was phenomenal. The potatoes are so well seasoned I didn’t need any salt and the steak with chimichurri so yum. Today I got the chicken fried steak which comes with jalapeño cheddar grits, Sausage gravy, and eggs. The grits were sooooo good and flavorful and creamy. The rest of the dish, honestly, just ok. The sausage gravy had a sweet-ish flavor I’m not a fan of sweet meat so that threw me off. I likely won’t get this dish again for $17. My husband had the corned beef skillet (no pic) and it was pretty tasty. Awesome flavor to the potatoes and it is real corned beef not the canned mush stuff. Mimosas $18 for carafe is a little steep but good.

Love the option to grab your own flatware, coffee and water. You seat yourself open menu then order and pay for food first. I'm loving this idea even more. My youngest ordered Lobster and Egg which was amazing. Comes with a good portion of Lobster in the egg between a croissant and greens on the side. The Vegan boy ordered the Brunch Burger with impossible option. Being vegan it's going to have dairy and meat options removed. A real chef would understand to make an option of items to go with an impossible burger option. I had the chicken fried steak served with gravy served on chicken fried steak with jalapeno grits underneath and egg on the side. It was filling, but bland. The gravy was missing something to give it a little punch. Over all the atmosphere is cool, hip, and great looking wait staff. I will comeback and try there BBQ soon.

Had a great time on the patio and was glad to see that they were still open. We had great service and the food was very good. When the temps cooled down, the owners brought out heaters (even made sure my pregnant wife was warm by placing it on her side of the table!) If you have never been here before, street parking can be tricky, but drop your crew off at the door and park a block away. Then sit down and enjoy some really good food and some great drinks.

2 of us had dinner and drinks. The barbecue based menu of wings, brisket and ribs was very well preserved and tasted great. The restaurant wasn’t busy for a Friday night and the order at the bar and then served at the table was efficient. We enjoyed our drinks.

Wow! The food is amazing. I felt a teensy bit guilty ordering a Philly cheese at BBQ place but am I glad I did! The Philly was one of the best I've had. I asked for some BBQ sauce for the fries and it was excellent on anything I put it on! The Mac and cheese was out of this world! Great drinks too!

Got two photos, one before I started and one just after I dug in a couple bites. This place is freaking awesome. The burger was amazing and the JoJo potatoes we're really tasty and a bit on the spicy side, which is good. Definitely coming back. Wifes breakfast was cooked wonderfully also If you're thinking wow that was a small plate. It really wasn't, there was a lot of food hidden on that plate and I wasn't able to finish even though I really wanted to.

I am part of a chess club that meets here regularly, the owner seems to be very accommodating to host these types of events! The food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. Very high on my list to recommend to people.

Woah! Got the Carolina pulled pork for takeout and definitely exceeded expectations. Perfectly savory, spicy, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. I’ll be visiting in person for sure.

Some of the best food I've ever had in the twin cities. Absolutely loved the burger - so unique in every way possible from the jam-like thing to the fluffy bun, to the amazing quality beef. Cooked medium to perfection, and such a thick patty too! We got the orange dream and raspberry house made sodas, both delicious. The raspberry is more tart and the orange is more creamy and sweet, like a milkshake. And can't forget about the incredible poutine. The combination of the fries, cheese curds and duck gravy was phenomenal! I already can't wait to come back.

The service is always on point, even with restrictions in place where you have to order at the counter, and the food is satisfying and unique to ESS. Great brunch location. It has a vintage modern feel; this extends even to the menus and the outfits for the servers . The patio area is airy and perfect for a group of friends meet up. The food is well done ; a variety of options on the menu as well.

Great BBQ in mpls! Order and the bar and they dekker to your table. Craft cocktails that are great and a nice selection of starters through entre. They also offer a BBQ meal for 2 or 4...great value and loads of food.

This is an urban chic bar with an intimate feel. The bartenders were charismatic and sociable. They were open to feedback on the new dessert we sampled, the Almond Joy Cake. The drinks were strong and sophisticated. Your palette has to be open to new combinations of flavors as this is not where you go for just a fruity cocktail. We will definitely return in the future.

I wish there was an option to add an extra star for a truely exceptional experience. Eat Street Social has delivered the ultimate dining experience from the moment I walked in to the warm, gooey cinnamon roll I had for dessert. I ordered the Steak and Eggs brunch which was cooked to perfection. I will frequent this place and highly recommend it to anyone reading this review.

Eggs Benedict for brunch. Service is good, with coffee man continually filling up that mug. Had a gin-bloody Mary. Gets a three because it was fine, not good or great. Decent atmosphere. Big booths.

Located in midtown this new restaurant cooked maybe the best Duck I've ever ate. Tons of drinks and beers the place is surprisingly bigger than one would expect. It can host private parties and has a pretty large patio especially for the area. Modern look throughout the restaurant. It serves some delicious food and can't wait to go back. Less than a hundred dollars I spent for my wife and I. Burger is in the top ten for the twin cities in my book. Trust me I've ate a lot of burgers. Plate presence was on point. $$-$$$

Now I want to preface this review with the fact that I'm mostly being nitpicky, because I did like this place. But I didn't love it. The food was very fancy. Maybe a little too fancy for me. :) I had duck, which I usually adore, and this seemed promising, but it could have been more flavorful. The peppers made the sides (stone fruit which I assume were peaches, and snow peas) way too hot, and didn't have any of their own flavor. The burrata was good, and the sauce was pretty tasty. I had the sarsparilla, which I was very impressed with. Very tasty.

Went to Eat Street Social for brunch while in Minneapolis for vacation. Our server was excellent. Funny, fast, knowledgable. As we left we noticed that they had a great patio out the back. It had a pergola and lots of greenery. We ended up coming back in the evening to enjoy the patio. Once again our server was awesome. Funny and very friendly. It was happy hour so the drinks were reasonably priced. The daily punch was especially delicious. Will definitely go again the next time we are in town.

Great atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon, shout out to the DJs, and great food options. The Eat Street Burger and the Fried Chicken sandwich are delicious. Great drink options. Featured are the Five Star Sangria and the Of The Older Fashioned.

Food food decent. Odd that there was a woman walking by, who looked like a server...but there were no servers on staff. I was in a party of 8 people and we didn't know we all had to go up to the bar to order our food. And the place a is a lil small. Bit still worth the tryout.

Always a good time at Eat Street Social. I like seating at the bar most of the time because the bartenders are attentive and knowledgeable. I went recently and the bartenders were kinda slow and not very engaging. "Social" is in the name, so I always hold out hope. Any who...I had a few Blumenthal Sour —Bourbon, Cocchi di Torino, grapefruit, zinfandel, bitters...they were great. Picture is before the zinfandel was stirred into the drink. Give them a try. The food is pretty good, as well. They do a burger and bourbon situation, too.

Great experience here with nice elevated barbecue options. Counter service to order and picked any open table on a Friday night. It was busy but still open tables were available. Nice outside patio with a chiminea going. We opted for the $55 barbecue platter for 2 and that fed 3 of us and then some. Very generous portions. Lots a great flavor and drink options were diverse. Will be back at some point!

The spare ribs and greens. Yum. Service was great. Thank you for a great visit. I am so happy you guys know how to cook greens. Sweet and tangy. All the meat was good on the platter. The only thing I would say I would change is mac n cheese. More cheese less butter. Add garlic salt and pepper or something. Mix the cheeses. But other than that , absolutely amazing. Very good quality. 👍

A surprise for Sunday Brunch. Indoor or Outdoor seating. Seat yourself. Get your own water and silverware. But keeping it real meant less staff in your face. Also, if you needed anything the staff were ready and willing. Traditional brunch menu was solid with comfort and easy to handle breakfast items. Cocktails were fun, and highly recommend the Green Tea Gimlet. The Traditional Breakfast was tried and true with 2 eggs any style, bacon or sausage (do the thick-cut bacon), country potatoes, and choice of toast, English muffin or croissant (do the croissant). The chicken and waffles was hearty, sweet and savory. Only reason not a 5-star, coffee at $3.50 a pop was weak and bitter, and the upkeep of the location still needs some attention. But a solid choice for brunch, especially with a group.

I ordered the Tennessee Hot Chicken & Waffles. I thought the chicken was okay, though I enjoyed a little heat. I did like the waffles and syrup. The rest of my group ordered the Social Burger, and they all seemed to enjoy it. The shoestring fries were also solid. And the service was great. Overall, I'd like to try it again but I'll maybe order a BBQ option since that's what they are known for.

They have the best steak in the city. It's so good: thick, juicy, perfect crust. If I could, I'd eat it at least once a week. My friends tell me the other food is also good. Their sangria changes seasonally (or at least I think it does, I've only been in for 2 seasons) and it is delicious! And it's a cute space with a surprising amount of room.

First time at EaT Street social Lucky for me it’s two blocks away! I had the eat street burger medium rare the bread had texture but yet soft, Gouda for the twist and the onion Marmalade literally drips off the burger. I’ve had many versions of baked beans but some thing about these I don’t know it’s almost like a zesty tang that slaps the insides of your cheeks. No question I’ll be a new regular 🙌🏾👨🏾‍🦲

Great location! This was our first time eating here definitely enjoyed the mimosas.tlThe lobster egg combination was not like I thought it would be it came on a croissant that was very soggy. I ordered a side of bacon, My meal came out there was no bacon. I went up to the cashier to let them know that my order was incomplete he said he would check on it literally 15 minutes later I got the bacon. Outside of that we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

This was a fantastic brunch spot. Got there at 10, there was 0 wait. The patio was perfect, the portions were VERY generous. I had the burger and my partner had the Mexican chicken dish. We were both pleased. Even though we were literally the only two on the patio when everyone else was inside, our mimosas were never empty, the waitress was very courteous, and the food was reasonably priced.

Eat Street Social was able to accommodate a group of 14 with shorter notice and we are so appreciative. The breakfast burrito was delicious! The Bloody Mary has a nice spicy kick but still delicious. We will be back!!

We ate there last night with a group of 21 people in the banquet room and everyone had a great time!! Wonderful food, great atmosphere, affordable prices, professional staff, and fine dining! We had several appetizers, most people had different entrees, and most people even had dessert, as well as cocktails, wine, and beer with our meal. After the meal, the men played pool and the women played shuffleboard (we were there 4 hours and had a great time). I HIGHLY recommend Eat Street Social for your group or even casual dinning!!

This place was amazing! My wife brought my friend and I here on a whim one night before heading to moto-i for their open mic night. The drink menu was simple and elegant! We tried three different specials and loved them all. The diner menu was also very simple but fancy at the same time. We also got three different options and were all fabulous! We were overall very satisfied with our experience! The waiter was very courteous and gave us our space for conversation as needed! Everyone was very on top of their game. The decor and feel was very comfortable and laid back. A nice place to have a date or a meeting.

Finding parking near this place is a challenge but once you're inside, it's a nice, warm place. We had six of us set up in a corner booth. The food was delicious but the portions were inconsistent. I had a HUGE chicken fried stake that was out of this world but another person at the table had tacos that weren't that big or filling - and the price wasn't much different. If you're pretty hungry - or not very hungry - you should probably inquire about portion sizes. Service was competent and the decor is nice.

The restaurant food is very good, but not exceptional. The tacos fall apart way too easily and the burger eventually needs a fork and knife as it gets too soggy. The bar staff though does really, really good work. The drinks are always very interesting and very good. Top marks for great creativity there.

Although I have only been here for lunch and for drinks, this place is a fun find. The lunch portions are not very big, but have big flavor. We tried the Market Cheese appetizer and it was full of varied and interesting flavors. As for their mixed drinks, they might be slightly overpriced, but they were intelligently curated. There may be some places with better mixed drinks, but their mixology is far stronger than most. The atmosphere and pleasant waitstaff are very enjoyable and it is a comfortable place to dine and chat for hours.

This is one of my favorite places. The cocktails are always wonderful, especially the old fashioned flight. The small plates are great as well. I recommend the calamari and the fish tacos. The atmosphere is great. Some peak times may need a reservation, but usually you can just walk in. In the warm season be sure to try the patio, it's one of the best.

Great drinks and food. The bartender was very helpful with suggestions for drinks and was very knowledgeable about their offerings. Dinner was fantastic, I had the pork which was tender and delicious. The burger is also very good! We shared the poutine and jalapeno poppers to start, both were excellent. The poppers weren't terribly spicy. The duck comes highly recommended from another member of our party. Great place for a nice dinner and drinks.

The food and cocktails here are always amazing! This time we sat at the bar because we came in on a Friday night without a reservation. The bartenders were fun and did a great job with the drinks! We had both cocktails and "mocktails" and everything was delicious. I love that their menu changes with the seasons.

The food here is quite good. The cocktails are imaginative. Even the house wine is pretty tasty. The service is good, everyone is really nice and attentive without being overbearing. The prices. A little steep. What diminishes the experience at Eat Street Social is the noise level. High volume is encouraged and it makes having a conversation difficult. There are times when the noise is on par with a club, when you must scream into the ear of whoever you're with in order to be heard.

Went hear on a date, awesome food and atmosphere. Service was excellent! Wide variety of drinks and food. I had the pork belly and it was probably the best pork belly I’ve ever had, crunch on the outside, tender and chewy on the inside. Will come again! Be ready to spend some money here, but you definitely get what you pay for.

I've asked others and was told that the other items in the menu was supposed to be better, but fire the process there charge everything should be pretty good. I tried the Barbecue and wasn't impressed. I also tried the macaroni and the cole slaw and greens for the sides, I would only eat the greens again. I will treat it like my Johnson and Johnson covid shot a one and done.

Found this by chance. Walked by it from the Copper Hen down the street. Glad we stopped. They have gluten free buns. Separate fryer for gluten free items. Fried potaoes were well seasoned. Eggs were good. Bacon was fresh. Hubby had jojos and they looked very scrumptious and he said they were delicious 😋. This is a must on the list and will definitely be back.

A few months ago I had never heard of the place. I had a friend who used to go there and we were looking for a joint to grab a decent bite one day so he took me there. He got the burger, I got lamb and a cheese plate. Spectacular food. I can't say I've done much drinking there but the food was great and I've made several return trips based on that, and I always see a fairly healthy mixed crowd, (not to the point of overbearing or where service suffers) having a few drinks. Great place.

Food and drink were good (change to strickly bbq?), however no one in our group was digging walk up counter ordering. Especially on a weekend night where the line got 8-10ppl deep... kind of a mess when you just want another drink for dinner... 😖, by the time you order food is cold and before you get drink its time to leave... Can understand for staffing on a slow weekday, but once busy its a bit of a mess! Really enjoyed previous visits over the years.

Love the bartenders and cocktails at this bar. The staff is really fun and knowledgeable. Bartender didn't make fun of me when I ordered an elevated cake shot -okay, maybe a little, but i deserved it and he took it with us. He also made me a Oaxacan drink that is my new favorite.

Went for brunch the day after Valentine's day. The place was full but my server couldn't be nicer. The vibe is very girls brunch date where you get a little dressed up. The food is a little more upscale but approachable. Get the fried egg BLT if you go for brunch. Also note, if you order bottomless mimosas they will keep refilling you even after you pay!

Went here for a Happy hour before going to a theater show. We got there just in time and the bartender was really good about getting our order in right away and getting our drinks to us as quick as possible. My Old Fashioned was excellent, and the wine my wife got was tasty as well as reasonably priced. The food was great. We will go back again.

The pork chop was great. The staff was kind and helpful. I'm not hip or cool and the staff didn't seem to care. Bought the kitchen a round which was fun. We had 3 appetizers, 5 entrees, and 3 desserts, and 6 of the special cocktails......All great!

Food was amazing! I had the sirloin with squash perogies. Perfectly cooked and the server didn't browbeat me when I asked for it to be cooked to a higher temp than the chef recommends. Drinks were great! The wild card wine selection was a fun twist. Dessert course was equally amazing. Start with fries poutine and finish with the cheesecake! Every member of service staff were very pleasant and friendly. Server was extremely knowledgeable.

I'm always pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food that comes out of the kitchen! I try a new menu item every time I visit, and I have yet to be disappointed. Pasta items are cooked al dente, and duck and steak items are cooked to absolute perfection. I also love their cocktails, t&tea is a good one, but my fave is their old fashioned!

Excellent food, well crafted cocktails and superb service, all in a great chill atmosphere. The scallops are divine, tuna tataki is awesomely balanced, and I'd recommend pretty much any of the sides. The calamari is simply delicious, if a little salty. Tuesday special was half off an old fashioned! All in all, I love this place!

This place is the best bbq place I’ve been to in Minneapolis! There BBQ sauce is spot on and the ribs, brisket and pulled pork is phenomenal. As sides we got collard greens, baked beans and coleslaw, all of which were unique and delicious in their own way. I actually never had collared greens befor I don’t think, but now I love after eating here! So f***n good!

I've been visiting this place since it opened and love it more each year. They have a great patio in the summer, a beautiful dark wood main room that reminds me of New England pubs, and the tiki room which they use for events. They offer brunch, happy hour, dinner, and late night happy hour. All the food is superb lately and a great match for their rotating expertly crafted cocktails. If your not in the mood for what's on the menu, have a conversation with the bartender and they'll create the drink you're yearning for. Don't miss out on their happy hour bottles of wine!

Simple menu with some spunk! Cool decor and friendly, bubbly staff. Very noisy for an intimate brunch, but I would definitely go back! Bottomless mimosas with literally NO end; the servers are always around the corner to top off your glass!

This is a great restaurant for those of us with persisting covid concerns! employees were masked and professional, indoor seating was properly spaced, and other diners spent more time outdoors in the patio space than indoors. The ventilation was also noticeable, and made the experience feel much safer. Because ESS does walk-up ordering, I'd recommend being kind to these great employees and wearing a mask when you're not sitting at your table. We had a guest who was hard of hearing at our table, and ESS made the necessary accommodations effortless. The dining area appeared wheelchair accessible, though I didn't visit the bathrooms. The poutine was Canadian-approved by a member of our party, and I'm still snacking on the leftover fries, they're good fresh AND out of the take-home box. Thanks ESS!

Love it. Visit every Sunday night for trivia, and while their menu is small on Sunday nights, the food is so good it's okay to eat again and again. I love their burger! Service has always been great - and Sunday nights you can get a 'wild card' bottle of wine for TWELVE BUCKS. A lot of places in MPLS charge twelve bucks a glass. So, that's worth all the stars in my book.

We had a great experience here for brunch. The bottomless mimosas we're good and the food was excellent. It's a super cool spot with much more room than I originally expected. Parking is a bear, so just take a ride share and find the bottom of those mimosas!

The Bad: My wife and I got there at about 6:45 after work without reservations but hoped to get a table because it was still early and if we had to wait we would get a couple drinks at the bar. Since it was early there were plenty of tables (8 at least) open but were denied by the host for the entire night with an excuse of saying they all booked and couldn't seat us at a table with unnecessary bad attitude. The Good: Luckily, a nice couple was leaving the bar and offered us their seat. The drinks were really really good along with good service from the bartender. The food was decent, nothing special. Northeast Social has better food.

The food was good, the service was just ok. Not terrible but not great. Server was nice but not very attentive. When our main course was brought out we didn’t have forks and had to ask the busser. The table next to us didn’t have forks either by the time their entree was brought out. Only other negative was that I had quite a bit of salad that I didn’t finish and our server asked if he could box that for me, I opened the box today to finish the salad and there was about five leaves of lettuce in there. I thought maybe my girlfriend ate some, but no, for some reason I didn’t get my full salad boxed. Real disappointed in that. Just something I hope this restaurant will note to their servers. Overall was not blown away enough to come back but the food didn’t disappoint.

It was pretty fab. I forgot to make reservations so we ended up sitting at the bar. Top-notch service, and the food was terrific. (A bit pricey, but worth it.) The cocktails were also very well done. I would definitely go back and recommend! The Of the Older Old Fashioned was nice -- smooth, boozy, with a slice of orange rind. The poutine appetizer was yummy, although a little skimpy on the gravy. I had the Amish Chicken Breast and may I rave about the mashed potatoes? Can I get JUST the mashed potatoes? The crust on the chicken was lovely and the meat was juicy & tender. My co-diner had beef tenderloin with pomegranate sauce. The first bite was a little disappointing until he got to the part where the sauce had caramelized, and it was great after that. And the mashed potatoes again. Oh, yes. The mashed potatoes. Get those. Service was speedy, friendly, and they made great recommendations. I would recommend and go back, for sure.

Best fancy cocktails in the city. And they change their cocktail menu so much that you can go back a couple weeks later and get a completely different cocktail menu. The staff is all super knowledgeable and kind. Pretty expensive though so be prepared to drop some serious cash if you have more than a drink.

Friendly, professional staff and an amazing array of cocktails. This is the sort of place where the bartender helps you figure out your ideal gin, without ever coming across as condescending or snooty. I can't say I'm as excited about the food, however, which has always been of high enough quality but is never particularly memorable, and it's far from the cheapest watering hole in the neighborhood. Consider it a perfect second stop on a special night out along Eat Street.

Awesome chic atmosphere with a sweet bar area and table/booths. We went for the cocktailswhich were amazing, but I was very impressed with the small plate advertisers we shared as well. A little beef jerky small age cheddar and olive charcuterie plate and those nice crispy shoestring fries. I got hooked on a mezcal drink which is reminiscent of a smokey lemonade with a lava salt rim. They also offer a old fashion flight which features two rotating OF and their signature bourbon OF. The two rotating we had were a pisco and gin. Lovely atmosphere on a late Saturday night. There was a DJ playing in the background but we could easily hear ourselves talk at the table. Definitely going to come back for a meal and continuation of the cocktail investigation!

Great staff, however, food is overpriced for what it is. Steak was a bit chewy, banh mi salad consisted of romaine hearts and american dressing. Duck pate on the banh mi salad did not taste good either and the bread that came with it was too tough. The Calimari was average and is comparable to applebees. The tacos were very dry as well and did not taste as good as an authentic and cheap place like los ocampos. Overall great atmosphere but food should've been better considering the price point of this restaurant.

Our group of 5 ate brunch here last weekend. There wasn't a single one of us who wasn't in love with our entree (the classic breakfast, fried egg BLT, chicken fried steak, chicken parmesan sandwich, and one other I can't remember), and we also received the potato poutine with blueberry lemon sauce. The poutine was phenomenal, and all the entrees were fantastic. The cocktail list was also excellent and interesting and the cocktail I ordered was great, and the coffee was literally from a Chemex! I want to go back every weekend!

Dishes were well executed. The broth for the mussels was slightly lackluster as the menu description leads you to want more of a rich curry flavor. Peppers and Cipollini Onions were welcome ingredients. The scallops were cooked to perfection, as well as the mushrooms and broccolini.
