Food was excellent and the prices were some of the lowest we’ve seen for crab. We got a pound of snow crab, pound of king crab, half pound of mussels, and half pound of shrimp with potatoes and corn for just over $100. As you can see we demolished the entire bag. If your plate doesn’t look like a war zone, you’re doing it wrong. The inside is very clean and lots of seating, although when we were there it was completely empty. We would go back again.

I got fried catfish with cajun-flavored fries and hush puppies, while my wife got a seafood boil selection with the mixed blend of all spices. It's not quite as good as an authentic seafood boil you'd get in Georgia or Louisiana, but still very good food and service, reasonably priced, and relatively unique cuisine for the West Metro. We'll probably go there again. Also not sure why Fox News was playing on the big screen at an immigrant-run business with such a diverse clientele, but it's a sign that the food is so delicious that no one seems to notice or care.

The best place for quality and awesome food at very reasonable prices. Impress your spouse or date with a wonderful seafood boil. Seafood steamed in a bag. Bib required (Smile) I personally recommend the lunch duo of Shrimp (no head) and sausage with a bowl of white rice to mix in. Plump shrimp and sausage with corn on the cob and baked potato and broccoli. All for under $20.00 so worth it. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean!

The restaurant is in an old building that used to be a Wendy's, they re-renovate it and made it looked more appealing on the inside. Lots of coastal decoration to give you that feeling that you're somewhere tropical. Went on mother's day and they were really busy but they did get the food out on a timely manner. Everything was good and tasted fresh (for MIDWEST). The sauce had a kick and was very flavorful. Price was reasonable for the combos and of course some stuff are market price.

Y'all know I'm all about some good seafood. Cajun Kitchen did not disappoint. I been away for 5 +yrs so to see all the seafood joints popping up in Minnesota was very exciting. They staff was fast and friendly. The price was good for a landlocked state and the specials were an even better deal for multiple people to share. The seasoning was on point, just the right amount of heat and the broccoli 🥦 was a "chef kiss" amazing addition, so juicy and delicious. This is definitely my new spot to eat when I'm back in the Sota.

Ordered 2 of their weekly special for 46.99 each and it came with 2 cluster snow crab legs, 1 pound of headless shrimp, sausages, 4 corn, and 2 potatoes with their special combo sauce in medium and it was soooo good. My sister had the same thing in mild and she liked the medium better. Also got cajun fries on the side which was also flavored really well & not too salty like some places. For a weekly special and the portion they give, I thought this was a steal. The customer service was also amazing a quick!

Went with some friends and had a great time! Service was extremely quick, got drinks less than two minutes and I swear food in less than five. Got the spicy combo for two and it was delicious, as well as reasonably priced for two people. Would definitely go again. Highly recommend.

Let me just start out and say… THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! The place inside is very urban, decorated and very clean which is not really expected from places that sell seafood. They have very speedy service. The waiters are so nice, they always check up on you, they always refill and ask if you’re okay. You get a bucket to throw your shells in when you eat and they even give you a bib, not only that they have reasonable prices and the seafood is 100% FRESH I’m telling you it felt like heaven eating here. Not only that they didn’t overcook the seafood I had either which is awesome. The meat was tender and the sauce is to die for!! I would def recommended getting medium for the spice level, it was a slow secret heat coming on when you ate but wasn’t bad. Also my boyfriend said the fried seafood wasn’t soggy and NOT OILY at all. it was very crispy and delicious. The place also has a ATM inside so don’t worry! it was also very convenient that they had a little wash area for after you eat when your hands are dirty. They also provide a lot of napkins and paper towels at the booth and tables. I HIGHLY recommend going to this place and giving it a try at least once. My boyfriend and I truly enjoyed coming here and WILL be returning.

I love this place! Very unassuming place with delicious food. I put this right at the top of the list for favorites in Twin City dining. I decided to treat myself to the Chefs Special - Seafood Delux....I was not disappointed. They give you a choice of mild, medium, or spicy and I went with medium. It was a delightful slow, sneaky heat. I really enjoyed it all and will definitely be returning.

Awesome Cajun. Order the chicken strips, Cajun fries and a custom boil. The chicken and fries were very good. The boil had shrimp, sausage, and snow crab. All boils come with potatoes, sweet corn and broccoli. Broccoli was a surprise and actually nice add to a Cajun boil. DO NOT let the exterior appearance of the restaurant fool you. The interior of the restaurant is newly renovated, clean, and has comfortable seating for parties of all sizes. Service was very good. This is a must stop restaurant if you are in the area.

Great food, always my first choice to get a seafood boil. The only thing I think could use some improvement is customer service. We were placed somewhere without getting asked where we’d like to be seated and the place was not busy. Also, our menus were tossed on the table..

You gotta try this place. There is a group of folks with whom we enjoy authentic cajun (HOT, not Minnesota hot, but really hot). We have been looking for a place that can do really good and fresh seafood. We walked in and were impressed by how clean this place is. We tried a variety from the menu. The fried food is just what it should have been. The guy sitting next to me ordered a boil. He had one shrimp he couldn't eat. I helped. It was really hot and tasty.

Great service! Flavorful food and reasonable prices!!! Restaurant is located in a building that was previously a fast food restaurant, and you would never know! They did a great job making it their own space! Clean, good lighting and plenty of space! We have now been there 2x and both times, they were fairly busy, but it did not affect the service. We will definitely be back!

Really nice staff and good food. I got the shrimp basket since I wasn't prepared for the higher prices. And it was GREAT! We will be back. Prices are a bit high so it's not a place to eat regularly. However once in awhile it's a yummy treat!

Delicious food and fast service. Had the chef's special - seafood deluxe with mildly spicy garlic butter. I like somewhat spicier food than my friends and this had a bit of kick to it.... Please be sure to ask for "no spicy" if you are on the fence.

The make your own combo was good. It is fun to have it arrive in the inflated bag, open it and reveal the yummy food inside. It also comes with plastic gloves and a large plastic bib. The fried shrimp basket was great.

Best seafood place I’ve been to. I always order the chefs special and the sauce is flavorful and on point. Which you get a taste of everything. I highly recommend this place for seafood boil.

If you like seafood, you're going to love this place. And don't let the "Cajun" scare you off, they have all levels of spice, including None for you Minnesota lightweights. The combos are served in a plastic bag (see my pic) and you get a bib and gloves so you can tear, shuck, and otherwise disassemble the food till you're left with the good stuff. A great dollar value for all the food you get. There are also basket options of fried shrimp, catfish, etc. The hushpuppies are made of lammas bread, just one will fill your stomach, so don't eat all ten like I did.

I feel like the portion sizes are decreasing (a half pound of crab is definitely not one half of one crab's body) but still very delicious!

This place is amazing. Their seafood boils are absolutely delicious. We always get the chef's special so we can get a bit of everything. The calamari app comes with the best sweet chili dipping sauce I've ever had. Also extremely quick service.

Simply AMAZING. The host/waitress was amazing. She constantly checked in on us, made sure our drinks were full, and got us anything we needed. The food... The food is amazing. I ordered softshell crabs and a catfish fry, while my wife went all in with the seafood supreme. It warms my heart to see my wife lost in eating so much awesome food.

First time choosing this place, as compared to other cajun places the food quality is below average. Dry shrimp, and crawfish they're not soaked in sauce like other places. Very clean and bigger than most but food quality just wasn't there, the corn size was half of what one would usually get at other places. I'd say if you want a good dining experience go here since it's big and clean, but food quality definitely try the other ones around the area.

So good! I don't often rate 5 stars but it was such a great experience. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We ordered one of their specials (similar to the seafood deluxe) and some additional crab legs for our family with the Cajun kitchen special sauce. I thought the sauce was perfect. The prices are reasonable for the quantity And quality of Seafood you're getting.

If I’m honest, we went here for the first time this weekend and when we pulled up to the building the outward appearance made me second guess. The pictures in the windows were faded and it looks like a very old converted office building on the outside. But that saying “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” totally applies here. And I’ve never been happier to have been wrong. When we walked in the place was clean and there was an obvious attempt to refresh the space. That being said, a good meal isn’t about the ambiance, THE FOOD. The food is incredible, I’ve only had seafood this good one other time at Grand Catch in Saint Paul for triple the price. The apps were amazing, the service was great, and the seafood boil was incredible. This place is clearly owned by very hardworking people who have a passion for cooking and customer service, and that’s why you visit a restaurant isn’t it? I couldn’t recommend highly enough and we will be going back for more delciousness.

I ordered the Chef's Special and everything in that meal was delicious however the crab was lackluster. The legs were small and had little or no meat in them. This was a total disappointment!! The side of hush puppies were good. I wouldn't recommended getting any crab legs but I would dine here again. The restaurant was clean and the food came quickly. They could use a little background music to drown out other conversations. They have booths and tables to dine on. There was plenty of parking and handicap spaces available.

I've had better experiences here and tonight wasn't a good one. Crab legs were overcooked which caused them to be to soft. Meat stuck inside and when I brought it up to the staff they looked at me as if I was lying.

The crab legs are really good, and the shrimp with no head, my only problem was that the lemon pepper wings were very salty, and it made my blood pressure go up, and I told the lady about it, she told me to order the plan ones, or barbeque next time. They are really, really nice people, but I did not like the fact that she did not even take anything off due to them being salty. But I paid for it, but I don't recommend getting the lemon pepper ones if you have blood pressure issues. Again the other food here is really tasty, this is a really nice place to eat at with friends, and family, the people are so kind. This is my 1st time ever having an issue with anything from here. And the only other thing that I did not like is that when a croud of people came in, they were not checking back to make sure we were ok.

Wonderful addition to my search for great food. The Cajun Kitchen met all my expectations for a crawfish and shrimp boil. I was able to get 1/2 pound of crawfish and 1/2 pound of head-on shrimp with corn, potatoes and broccoli for $17. Delicious food, just right amount of heat that allows you to enjoy the flavor. Well done, I'll be there again soon!

Disappointed that I have waited this long to finally pay a visit. We had the Seafood Deluxe, Fried Shrimp, and a couple of soups for a very reasonable price. Both the fried and boiled shrimp were very fresh and tasty, some of the best I've ever had from such seafood joints. The value you get here is much better than what you'll get compared to Red Lobster. We had the Cajun House special sauce for our Seafood Deluxe, and was amazing.

Food was amazing They offer a few selections of beers and wine which is a huge plus for me. Service was excellent and they are so polite Prices are a little on the high end for the "get your hands dirty" items, but they do offer weekly specials. The basket item prices are fair. The place itself is very clean, decoration is beautiful, and its definitely a treat yo self type of place. I can see myself coming here once a month or more.

The fried seafood was great. The quantity was poor. I had so many fries and hush puppies and barely any fish and shrimp. The 2 pieces of catfish was actually 1 piece of catfish divided. A total rip off in that aspect. I'll fry it myself next time.

The seafood is delicious and prepared with care. We ordered seafood by the pound and a basket of chicken strips. An unexpected special touch was broccoli along with corn & potatoes in our seafood. First time trying them. It was pretty good. I Enjoyed every last bit. I had the shrimp no heads. In garlic butter no heat. So, Yummy..... I also got the king snow crab in house sauce and mild. That flavor on them crab legs. The mild was just right. I definitely coming back for more.

Wow. Thoroughly impressed. We stopped here for dinner a few nights ago, and this might be the best seafood I've ever had. My wife and I split the seafood boil (can't remember the name of it, but it was $35), and it was more than enough food for 2 people. The seasoning was incredible, and the seafood was super fresh. We will be going back on a regular basis. Such a great addition to Crystal!

Had the crawfish. As a native CAJUN, I could tell they were precooked and seasoned after. That's ok they were still good to eat. Feb-Apr is season for good crawfish. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I suggest the fried dinners.

The food here is delicious, the crab legs, lobster, shrimp, are the best. I love the potatoes, corn, and sausage, never can get enough. We also had the hush puppies, yummy. If you want some good seafood and other delicious food, try Cajun kitchen. One if the things I also like it's so close to home and the prices are reasonable.

This place has a very quiet atmosphere even with the high ceiling. The food is amazing and the service was great too. I’m not aware of many Cajun restaurants in Minneapolis so this place is a nice change of pace from the usual.

Very great service food, always is ready on time when I pick and tastes so great for the right price. I eat here two times a week if not more then that. Would like a rewards program like punch cards for eating here so much but it wouldn’t lose my business if they didn’t. Have not ate inside but very good atmosphere and very clean surroundings. SEAFOOD DELUXE BOTH TIME REVIEW: I want to give them a 2.5 but I can’t so I’ll say a 3 because it is higher than a 2. But here’s my experience with them: I moved here about 3 years ago from the west side. I was excited because someone had recommended them a few months in being here so I did .. very oily to the point the seasoning wasnt really on the seafood boil itself but at the bottom of the bag.. when getting to the bottom and being able to dip the seafood in the sauce it was ~mwuah~ chefs kiss.. fast forward haven’t been here since covid lockdown and I wanted seafood for my bday august 2021 was looking at recent reviews and got skeptical but did it anyways .. and I just want to confirm .. the food is still amazing!! BUT! The online menu is NOT correct and they def skimp you on the seafood .. my crab was all ligaments and thin and small and my lobster tail was of a baby lobster! Had to be .. so food good, but bring a scale w you! (Jokes but yea just my honesty here w a grain of salt!)

Can I give 10 stars?! I don’t even write reviews but I had to for this place. I’ve driven past this place several times and not thought much about it. Today, my boyfriend stopped to get food. He went in and ordered food to go while I waited outside. I wasn’t really hungry and didn’t get anything. When we got home I tried his fish. Ohhhhhmy! I am not kidding when I say we fought over this food. It was heavenly. We have both vowed to never buy catfish from anywhere else. When I tell you this food was touched by the hands of God himself, I mean it. I had to write a review so other people would go eat there, because I really need them to stay open so I can continue to enjoy this food for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to go back!

Very nice sit down area, nice staff wonderful seafood boil. Had a great deal for$40... crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn.... our new boil place... used to be cajun deli, but they got them beat. Love that we can actually sit down comfortably and eat and food was amazing.

We had the boiled shrimp. Cajun seasoning. Mild. Came with corn and potatoes. We also included steamed rice, perfect pairing. Very reasonable price for a pound of shrimp meal. Delicious.

Food is great, customer service is great! My husband and I ordered the Seafood Deluxe with Cajun Kitchen Special for the seasoning and extra hot for the spice. I wasn't sure of the spice levels and asked for a sample of the medium and hot. They brought out the two samples no issue and we ended up going with the extra hot. We like alot of spice. This will definitely be a regular place we come back to again and again.

I had to leave an update. We have been ordering from here since before COVID. The last time we ordered $150 worth of food on 9/13 for family and we got less food than we ordered. The pieces of seafood were significantly reduced for the same price. The last time we ordered was 7/7 and several times before that including dining in. The taste is still amazing but this was alarming. Below is my review from the summer of 2019. Previous 5 star review I absolutely loved this place. I love seafood and had traveled to the East Coast recently and was looking for a similar experience and this place did not disappoint. The food was tasty, we ordered the hot level and it felt like medium for non-Minnesotans. We did the seafood combo and skipped appetizers and dessert and were stuffed. The snow crab legs were meaty and juicy. The crawdads were so flavorful and the shrimp, sausage and squid were delicious. I’m a transplant to Minnesota so I’m happy to have found this place. I can’t wait to bring my visitors here. And yes the place is clean and the service is gracious and fast.

Ordered via Bite Squad. Figured I'd give it a try. Ordered the shimp basket. Says you get eight but got nine, all of which were perfectly cooked. Great spicy fries too. Had the gumbo. Very good as well. Also ordered the 1/2 pound sausage. Very pleasant flavor and was surprised to find it came with potato, corn on the cob and brocolli. All good. I am from the south and have visited Cajun country for years because I love great Cajun food. This is the best I have had in the Twin Cities in years and I've tried them all..

My husband and I tried this place out for the 1st time and it was better than we expected. It was also our 1st time trying a seafood boil. It tasted fresh, was seasoned well, was enough to feed 3 adults and a 5yr old (2 weekend specials) the front end was clean, nice atmosphere.The only reason for the 4 star review is because we also had the fried oyster basket and I believe they were pre-packaged breaded oysters.

I was shocked and amazed at how good this food was.. My husband and I was blown away.. I did not think it was gonna be good, especially because of the area.. Wonderful food and lots of it. The flavors were amazing. The only reason I wouldn’t give this place 5 stars on this visit was because the wait staff attempted to pull us into some of their drama over who’s table we were at. Hard to enjoy a meal when one server tells you not to accept service from anyone but him then never checks back in. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The food was great and we’ll probably give this place a 2nd try.

Tried Cajun Kitchen today just on a whim. I noticed Cajun deli was closed mondays and I came across this little establishment. I have to say I’m VERY pleased with this place. I got 2 clusters of crabs, 1lb of shrimp & 1/2lb of sausage on special. The seasoning and crab was good though from the look of the shells they were old. Shrimp were good but not peeled. Sausage was very rubbery and not fresh. Corn was over cooked potatoes were undercooked. To my suprise it came with broccoli, it was good but very soggy. I'll have to give them another try but at this point I think I prefer Cajun Deli.

Great place for seafood.....probably would've passed it by except that someone I know went there and said how nice it was inside and how good the food was. So true! Most of the seafood is served in a giant steam bag and comes with corn on the cob, broccolli and small red potatoes. Huge portions and deliciously seasoned!! Great hushpuppies too! Check it out, you'll be pleasantly surprised!!

Hubby and I were excited to see a cajun restaurant open closer to home. Decided to wait several months to see their ratings/reviews first. We finally tried it last night. We were hoping to smell an aroma of garlicky butter and cajun seasoning as we walked in, but did not smell anything. That scared me a bit. Wasn't sure what I was getting myself into at this point. But the restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated and the staff were all very polite and willing to help us right away. We ordered 2lbs of shrimp. Both seasoned with their own cajun kitchen special seasoning. One pound hot and one pound mild. The hot tasted slightly less than a mild and the mild was more like a seasoned garlic butter with a small amount of cajun seasoning added. The sauce had no thickness from the seasoning, a bit on the watery side, and had an over powering taste of lime. The okay food combined with the great staff calls for a second chance.

Let start by saying that the restaurant is spotless, including condiments. I was there when they were opening. The server was wiping down booths, condiments, tables, etc. This has only been opened a short time so I'm guessing still going thru "growing pains". I ordered the fried oysters with cajun fries. Fries were fabulous-crispy & flavorable. Oysters, not my favorite. Very heavy batter. That's on me, not a big fan of a lot of batter. Now let me tell you that there were 2 gentlemen who ordered the boiled lunch special & were super happy! Apparently, the no head shrimp with boiled veggies & cajun spice is just like eating in New Orleans. Definitely, I will go back to try what they had. I have since been back for the Shrimp Boil lunch & was absolutely fabulous! Service was again terrific. My grandaughter also loved it!
